Revealing Mists ~ Event Starter
This wasn't their first trip out here. Gyess had brought Romanus to her nest several times. He'd even helped her make it a little more weatherproof to account for the cold weather of this land. He didn't seem to exactly understand why she liked to be outside, but she'd always try to explain it.
"(I know that I get more tired when I'm outside in the snow, I just prefer the closed space. When I am in my... ) accom-o-day- tion (I sleep in a very small room anyways! It has a door on it with a weird wooden bar across the top.)" She was referring to her closet.
She spoke as she was fidgeting with a couple of the pillows and her special box of treasures. These included things like food, gifts, and an assortment of fun items she'd collected, all kept safe in a dirty cardboard box she found on the streets. She wasn't bothered by it.
Tumblr media
"(I've heard of something humans do called... oh it's called um.)" she was trying to remember the common word. "Camping? Camping! Where they sleep outside on purpose in a small mountain!" She makes a hand gesture of a peak, not remembering the word tent.
"(We should do that! If-if you wouldn't mind it at least. I know how to find the best food!)" She seemed rather excited about it, though she just liked to hang out with Romanus anyways, in his home or around hers.

The Lost Dragonborn ~ @bxsiliisk
Tumblr media
This hole. This deep, dark, unpredictable pit of uncertainty was playing with the mind of the girl. She was struggling more than usual to understand what was happening around her.
She was in a place she had never seen before. Thick of trees she didn't know, plants she did not recognize, and not a soul around her to help her troubled mind - to help her understand all of this.
But even more so, how now all of her magic was back.
She had grown accustomed to not carrying the burdens of chaos, she enjoyed it apart from the slivers of what was evidently returned. But now in this twisted forest, any wrong spell could set it ablaze.
Worse still to her were the creatures she had come across. What she thought were beautiful mushrooms and plants turned into horrible plant monsters that chased her through the jungle. Throughout the path were many hidden traps. Thankfully she has experience in identifying these things, but a wrong step had left a painful slash in her foot. It cut free the bandages she usually had wrapped around her feet, leading to her like a breadcrumb trail.
She barely noticed the pain, finally finding relief in a family place, a cave. She hurried towards it, welcoming the shelter from this strange land. Her blood leaving little red drops in the dirt as she went.
She found herself a place among the rocks, and the pain in her ankle began to catch up to her as she sat down. She was out of breath. It was rare that she had ever had to run for her life. What if she could not find a way out? This cursed forest seemed endless and dangerous. How long would she survive?
The sheer amount of adrenaline, combined with the panic of her thoughts left her body trembling as she began to cry, burning her head in her curled-up body, praying that this nightmare she was trapped in would end.

Gyess’ wandering had taken her to many strange places. Rarely did she spend time in what was her assigned abode, preferring the outdoors and wilderness to strange interiors. Of course, these ‘strange places’ were merely strange due to the fact that there was very little that was familiar. One such place was framed at the base of a mountain. Many people were entering the space chatting among themselves excited about whatever was in store.
Gyess watched the people pass at a distance, taking shelter behind some bushes as she curiously observed the passersby. She wasn’t sure where they were going or why so many of them had gathered in a single place. It did not appear to be a feast of any kind, nor did it seem it was a meeting. There was an energy in the air that Gyess longed to understand but was too nervous to approach.
Tumblr media
‘What was this place?’ ‘What are these people doing?’ ‘Am I allowed to see what they’re doing?’ ‘Is is safe?’ All of these questions and more raced through her mind in an endless swirl, becoming increasingly unaware of what or who was around her. And so she stays, hiding in the bushes as she waits for the answers to her many questions.

list of scenarios ~ @eusyram ~ Not Accepting
asked: 29.  PRIZE sounds fun!
Tumblr media
"Ah! There is so much stuff here!" Mary Sue had invited Gyess to come visit the carnival on the boardwalk. Gyess had passed by this place a few times, but the loud noises and giant machines made her too nervous to properly explore.
But now in the company of her very good friend, she was excitedly asking many questions about every single little thing they came across. Mary Sue being the wonderful teacher she was, was happily answering them! Gyess was able to glean... about 60% of what she was talking about. But that's better than nothing!
Gyess had been watching the people around them play what Mary Sue had called 'carnival games' and after a while, Gyess wanted to try and play some of them!
Unfortunately, she wasn't very good at most of them.
She'd either misunderstood the instructions of most of the games or simply was unable to complete the task at all. She was a little upset by this development, hoping that she might at least win one thing.
Mary Sue seemed to take notice and had a slight amount of pity for the little dragon girl. Of course, in every game they played, Mary Sue won the absolute best prize possible. She offered to win something for Gyess, but that's not what she wanted.
Eventually, Mary Sue found a balloon game where all you had to do was pop a balloon with a dart and you'd win something and coaxed Gyess into trying one more time.
Success! Gyess won herself a cheap little plush of a yellow mouse creature. She was utterly ecstatic. She loved the little thing very much, and loved even more that she did something right. Mary Sue still give her a couple of the other toys she had won (she didn't need ALL 12 of them)
The two girls left the carnival happy and laughing with the earned treasures of the afternoon.

~ Spring Time ~
Tumblr media
It was nice that it was starting to warm up. The little Dragonborn was not feeling so sleepy now that the sun had melted the snow.
Right now she sat alone in the park. She'd found herself a mostly flat rock to rest upon and bathe in the sunlight. Breathing softly. The warmth felt wonderful on her shimmering scales.
She could feel herself falling asleep, anyways. Or, at least she was losing her train of thought blissfully soaking in the sunlight. What a beautiful day of spring.

@redlichbluelich ~ Library Meet-Up
Even though her surroundings had changed, there was very little about Gyess that actually had. Navigating the advanced cities was a challenge for her but she was still determined to learn her surroundings, allowing her curiosity to roam as she searched for answers. It didn’t take her long to find a place where she longed to be more than anything in the world.
This forest was beautiful. Being among nature wasn’t new to her, in fact, it was a certain level of comfort to be back in a familiar place. As she freely roamed among the trees, she eventually stumbled upon something she had never seen in a forest. It was bigger than any building she had ever seen and yet it didn’t seem out of place. She cautiously approached the steps, eventually making her way inside.
She gasped at the sight of the place. It was just as massive as the outside but full of beautiful streams, flowers… and books? This forest seemed more strange with every hour that passed. She ran around the place eagerly admiring every small detail in wonder.
Eventually, her gaze fell to the book shelves. She had never been in a place with so many of these in her life. While her common was not great, she was able to identify a single word: “magic”. She had an idea, perhaps this place has an answer to her problems! She had been searching for a cure to her magic for so long, maybe that’s why she was transported here.
She scanned the books more closely, looking for more words she could identify, but she struggled to find anything in draconic. She quickly realized she had no idea how to navigate the place - this was her first time being in a library after all. She quickly glanced around, maybe there was someone who could help her?
The first being her gaze fell upon, a figure. He appeared to be a pretty normal human, with strange blue pants and long brown hair. She’d usually hesitate to approach strangers, but she was more desperate than usual. She walked up to him, hands clasped together nervously as she looked up at him.
Tumblr media
“Um… e-excuse me, sir? I hate to trouble you, but are you familiar with how to navigate this place? I need to find a book about… uncontrollable magic? I am afraid I do not know where to find it.” Her voice had a bit of shakiness to it, but she hoped that this stranger would at least point her in the right direction.

Prank Ro??? ~ Cont from here ~ @bxsiliisk
She only pauses briefly when he talks, the desperation shifting more into confusion as she looks up at him.
Tumblr media
"(what??? what is...) a prank? April Fools is no witch?" she searched for answers. This concept made no sense to her. Eiden wouldn't lie about such an important thing; of course not!!
"My friend Eiden told me about it! He said it was most important to protect the humans from the witch who steals noses. He is immune, so he is safe!"

A Quiet Talk ~ @bxsiliisk ~ cont. from here
There was quite a lot she wanted to discuss, actually. It had taken her a lot of courage to even ask to meet with him at all, though she was eternally grateful that he followed through with it.
She nods in affirmation of his words. “Y-yes, Romanus. I know i may confide...” her eyes barely made eye contact with him. She had seen many things in that hole, and done many more things too. These only served as reminders to her that she cannot live with her Wild Magic any longer. Whenever these stars decide she might be returned her full capacity, she must be ready to fix it.
Tumblr media
“I wish... to request something of you.” Her fidgeting increased with her hands, even her tail was twitching slightly behind her. “(I ... I need your help in removing my magic, permanently.)” Others she had met in the would not allow her to do such a thing, claiming that she can master it with their help. Even Romanus had offered to train her, though she never mentioned her true desire to be free of it.
“(You’ve seen what it can do. Even before you had found me, I met others who I put in danger... one reminded me of my cause. I can’t reunite with my family until this Wild Magic is gone. I am good for nothing as long as I have this burden.)” Finally she looks up at him, gold and teal eyes wet with forming tears.
“(Please, Romanus... I don’t know what else to do.)” They were right to cast her out, or so she thought.

Her accomodation was quiet... a little too quiet. She found herself standing in the living room, collecting pillows from the couches but something wasn’t right. She felt the emptiness at her core. This is how it was before...
She’s all alone again.

@twilightjudicator ~ New Roommates
It really had not been a long time since she had first arrived in Isola. The place was new and strange. Normally she enjoyed exploring new places and new things, however, she was becoming largely overwhelmed. She had received help in finding her abode - the location she would always remember. But when she arrived the whole place was… strange.
The floor was not made of dirt… there were so many strange-looking items that she supposed must be something called… fur-niche-urn? She couldn’t remember the common word for them. She could feel her nerve kicking in as she ran around the room, unsure of what to do or where to go. She needed to be safe somewhere- where could she go?
Tumblr media
Her searching eventually took her into the weird area, with an odd material on the floor that her talons made soft tick-tack tongs upon. She flung open cabinet doors. Assorted pots and pans were placed inside. Gyess had no idea what these were. She quickly took every piece of kitchen equipment out of the space and moved it onto the floor.
In no time at all, there was enough room for her to crawl into the cabinet and shut the door behind her. Finally, in an enclosed space of her own, she took several deep breaths and calmed down. She hugged herself into a ball and began to close her eyes to try and sleep. Though she heard some strange noises that stopped her from doing so.

Fragmemoria ~ Open
Tumblr media
Somewhere in the world, a little dragon's memory floats around. The past of a little one with the burdens to bare that come with it. Her life didn't need to take this direction, but the random chaos that is her world had different ideas for her being.
In this memory are the people and places of another world. One of dragons, ancient weapons, and powerful magic. Here is a dragonborn clan, of shades red and gold. The land is peaceful as these people go about their lives as one might expect.
One of these however, does not look like the rest. She is much smaller than the other children. Much thinner, with eyes of teal and yellow. Scales shine a pale rose-gold. A strange hybrid of worlds but healthy all the same.
She's slow to keep up with the others. She can't quite reach them as much as she tries. They laugh at her. Leave her behind. The runt of her clutch has no place among the normal.
In attempt to fight back, magic is summoned. Hands lit a flame to get the attackers away from her, only to find her scales no longer the rose-gold, but a vibrant shade of teal instead. The other children laughed only further.
"(Look at the Wild Guess. She can't do anything right!)"
Tears were met by a dragonborn much kinder than the rest. She sheltered her little sister. Trying to ease her sorrows as best she could, but there was nothing she could do to help with the chaos that was Wild Guess' magic.
The little rose-gold child did not fair better in the presence of the elders. All magically inclined children were brought up to harness their magic and become warriors and healers, just like their parents and ancestors before. Wild Guess was among them. She was incredibly gifted in her studies, but one would never know when the magic would suddenly fly off the handle.
There was no reigning her in. There was no understanding that they could see. They called her cursed for her magic, that's all she was.
A curse. A blight. A problem. A danger. Not one of them.
The chief would not tolerate such a child of his bloodline. Even more than the other three of his kin, she was subject to what he called training. Anyone could see he was lashing out more than anything.
He told herself that this was for her own good. That it would only get worse if she did not learn to control her magic. She was a danger to her clan as long as she refused to learn.
She wanted to learn. She wanted to control it. All she ever wanted was be one her clan. To protect her loved ones and to earn their love as a part of them. Few people spoke to her, including her own mother. Even fewer treated her with kindness.
Then there was that night. The night of the attack. She was in danger, she had no choice but the protect herself once more. Just like before. But instead of turning blue, she was burned near alive instead.
She saved herself, in exchange for the lives of whoever was unlucky enough to be in the radius of the fireball erupting from her core. It stopped the battle from continuing, the enemy retrieted.
Wild Guess felt the claws of her father deep in her skin; casting her out with no remorse. Anger was the only thing left in his heart. She was all alone in these woods. The scar remaining to remind her of her greatest failure. The reason why she has to be alone.
She's a curse. She can never go back.
She survived in the woods alone. Feeding on fish and berries, fighting off wildlife. On such wildlife got the jump on her, and she barely escaped losing her horn in the process. Human villages were neither as kind, if not just indifferent to the small, scuttering dragonborn.
There were 15 years worth of memories. 15 years of hardships and longing to have a clan to call home. The memories of this place too were far somewhere in the distance.
She had found new dragons. New friends who loved her and cared about her, but she knew them not. She was searching for her clan. Looking for the thing she was missing; needing more than anything in the world. Her family.

Bit by bit she could feel the old magic returning. A part of her felt scared. The more spells she could summon, the more chances the wild magic might erupt. Another part of her... she couldn’t explain it but she could still feel it inside of her.
She felt complete...
...
Though her phone battery had been dead for months (she didn’t know she needed to charge it) she was finally able to mend the crack in her phone’s screen, among a few other dents and cuts. It was nice to have a spell she could rely on.
