Life has been kinda rough lately so here have some Sidia doodles I scribbled half heartedly to try and get some kind of art out?

I realize she's a lot of more, sharper lines than most Mews? I take a lot of inspiration from one of my favorite manga, particularly The New Gate (Yuzuha my beloved... she's baby your honor-) and can you believe that's getting an anime soon???

Anyways here have these scribbles. I'm particularly happy about the lil baby in the upper left.

When Sidia was first "made/hatched" She looked like a normal Mew. Pale pink with blue eyes, like any baby would have. As she got older, things started to darken and properly form patterns. Her fur is black due to millenia of absorbing Shadow Energy and purifying it. It stains, and while it wouldn't be much at first, it builds up after a while, and she's been purifying the entire planet's Gaia Energy from the start.

Sidia is very old, but she didn't start out fully grown like the other Legendaries. She is also, on record, not a fighter at all. She was never built for battles, she's only meant to seek out corruption and heal it. As a result, she's highly inexperienced and maybe level 40 or 50, but very few battle experiences.

Jk its kinda both of you but mainly Usagi

You two would probably meet early on, maybe in the tag game where the two of you catch each other’s eye and agree to travel together <3

You’d be there by Usagi’s side as you both live day by day, and when you find the sweaty lookin’ guy from the Tag game lying on the ground all depressed you two kind of take him in

Like

You two mama birds just kinda adopt the guy

Usagi ends up taking care of most of the hunting while you do mostly everything else

You’re the one who tries to force feed Arisu even when he refused it

Usagi kept you from choking the poor guy.

Y’all are basically tied at the hip tho

Which also soon includes Arisu

(But you n Usagi are closer shh dont tell him that)

Things pretty much stay the same between you two until y’all arrive at The Beach (cue thunder strike)

With this whole sort of place that seems like it was capable of running actual electricity and shit you wanted to do smth special!!

“Do you think we can use their kitchen?!”

“Y/N we’re literally duct taped to chairs right now.”

“She’s got a point though Usagi— I’m kinda craving like… cookies.”

That was the small talk the three of you had before the whole dramatic intro of the Beach and its top goobers

After that whole shenanigan, you and Usagi insist on sharing the same room

It was just a lot more comfortable for the two of you

This place gave you the creeps ngl

That meant a lot of late night talks

Well, as many as y’all got before shit hit the fan again

You two always talked about what you’d do when you finally get to leave. Visit each other every day, maybe even get a place together? Usagi couldn’t bare to live in her old place ever since her father disappeared

You knew everything about that as well

Just from the few months you two shared together, you guys knew a lot about each other

You even promised her that you’d help her get back into climbing

Maybe indoor climbing first for you though

The more you two spent time with one another though, the more the two of you caught yourself… lingering

Whether it be longing looks or touches, it’d always be done subconsciously and end up with someone a little flustered

Arisu caught on though and asked wtf was going on

You, of course, blew him off

After the hearts game though, you two immediately ran for each other

Both battered and bruised, you clung to her as she scanned you over for anything that might have been fatal

Usagi cries out in relief to see that you’re okay

“Where were you? Where were you? What would I do with myself if I lost you too? What would I do? I can’t lose a person I love—”

That made you sit up.

“You— you love me?”

Usagi couldn’t help but let out a choked smile to see that incredulous expression on your face

Well she can’t really deny it, can she?

You could only hug her tighter with tears welling in your eyes, the pain of everyone that’d been slaughtered would only remain in all of you forever but maybe the seeds of healing had already been planted for you two as you pressed a kiss against her cheek

You two were peas in a pod.

You protected those you loved, worked together to achieve your goals

And when Usagi struggled to understand why going back to the real world would be any better than the world they were forced to fight to live in, you couldn’t understand

But you tried to

The strong woman you’d grown so used to seeing so level headed hid in your arms as she held back tears

Listening to every pained doubt, choked out words

You were there for her

And no doubt, she’d hold you taut against her whenever you needed it too.

You helped Usagi get over her doubts and fears of returning to the living world, ensuring her that she wouldn’t be alone in dealing with her troubles

And that— not if— but when you two return, you’ll celebrate like you’ve never before

Well would you look at that, yet another thing I forgot about Yuzuha's flashback (AND I DEFINITELY SHOULDN’T HAVE I should've reread the entire chapter the first time):

Wakui... doesn't give us informations on things we don't need to know (where is Mitsuya's dad ? How did Baji's mother handled Baji’s death (definitely badly but how)?...) and some people disagree with me on my interpretation of the Shiba family. And. Yeah. We can also find other reasons why Taiju is Taiju and all, my reading can be wrong and flawed and there might be other plausible reasonings because nothing I’ve written has been said by Wakui himself

Thing is, if their father was only neglectful while not wanting to be but still having to work – then.. why didn't the Shiba siblings end up like the Mitsuya ? Mitsuya mother is neglectful of her children against her will. She has to work.

And about them having the possibility to live normally despite that - with the Takemichi and the Tachibana I agree. We don't know where Takemichy's parents are but he seems fine about it, like many other Japanese teenagers he lives alone, he probably has a good relationship with his parents even if we never see them and he doesn't think about them before dying as he says himself before getting run over by a train. Naoto doesn't like his father. He works a lot, he's not here often, but Naoto and Hinata have a good relationship, and, they have their mother and their father comes home everyday (i think). The Shiba father doesn't. Takemichi and the Tachibana siblings’ parents were here during their childhood (at least one of them for the Tachibana)

The Mitsuya and the Shiba family are meant to parallel each others (Mitsuya (+Luna and Mana) knows his mother loves him. Yuzuha doesn't think anything of her father (I use this argument quite a lot don't i)) — Mitsuya and Taiju are meant to parallel each others. However while being in almost the exact same position they handled things differently; 1. Both are big brothers of 2 younger siblings BUT the age gap is different 2. Had to take care of those said siblings BUT at different age (I assume Mitsuya started to have to raise Luna and Mana some weeks/months after Mana's birth so he'd have been 9 or 10 whereas Taiju seems to have been 7-8 when his mother died) 3. They both have a parent who's working and who's not home often and the other is nowhere to be seen BUT Mitsuya mother has to, she has three children, four mouths to feed alone and their family is poor, the Shiba family is rich, I doubt their father can't just stop working if he wants (maybe not, but you get the point)

Yuzuha's father didn't ever hire someone to take care of his children (who must have been like 5, 6 and 7 when their mother died). Mitsuya's mother didn't too, but the Mitsuya are poor. Mitsuya started to sew because Luna and Mana didn't have stuffed toys. The Shiba are wealthy, this man has no excuse for 1. not come home often 2. letting his children to live by themselves when they were children. Because if he was only not there when they were teenagers, that could have been okay (like with Takemichi), I probably wouldn’t have made the hypothesis of him being as awful as Kazutora’s father but this man wasn’t even living with his children when his wife was at the hospital

And (coming back to the manga page) there you have Yuzuha saying she'll protect Hakkai right after Taiju beat him up, protect him the same way their mother did

Then again, there's still the problem of when does their father finds the time to be physically abusive if he's so absent Yuzuha doesn't have an opinion about him

I need to reread the whole arc and make a post that regroups all of my ideas because I've forgotten a lot of things the first time damn

Made a few changes to the primary and secondary muses lists:

-Draken has been moved down to secondary -Lio Fotia has been moved down to secondary -Mikey has been moved down to secondary -Hanma has been removed from blog, is now a secret menu muse -Cyno has been added to primary

Bonds pages for my Genshin muses will be worked on slowly in the coming weeks as I have motivation for putting them up and getting graphics made for it.
