My honest reactions of episodes 5 and 6 (part 2)

PART 1 : HERE

(‼️ SEASON 4 SPOILERS ‼️)

Okay I just HAD to devote the full Alibert inn scene from episode 5 here CUZ WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT YUGO GOING BACK TO EMELKA!! I know I already mentioned Chibi and Grougal (as well as the tree Tofu tower) in part 1 but part 2 will basically be about all the rest of the inn scene cuz tumblr couldn’t let me have more than ten images per post (I know the site apparently lets u have more but I always use the phone for it so shush.)

But first, we finally get to see Alibert again after all those years 💕

Alibert. Sweetie. Baby. You can take care of two (technically four) kids with the addition of a freaking INN, you COOK for the customers, AND, ON TOP OF ALL THAT, you’re the MAYOR of EMELKA, that same place where you run the inn and take care of your adopted sons.

You do much more than just “taking care of an inn”, you got three jobs AND you’re still sane. You’re three in one, a whole package, props to you king. He’s such a boss ass man I love him 💕💕

(Also is the wine a call back to Gustavio? Plz it would be so funny if the reason why Alibert is angry is cuz these ppl are saying how “bad” it is just so the prices can stay the same but also because he’s mad that they’re calling Gustavio’s wine “disgusting” even if they were all just trying to make him not raise the prices!)

Love how Yugo doesn’t say that same shit to Ruel after all those years of cooking for his ass and never getting anything from him.

Like even the whole Brotherhood calls Ruel a “cheapskate” but the only time where we see Yugo say that same shit is when he says that to his own CUSTOMERS?!?

Gurl bye Yugo’s such a silly little hypocrite!! 😭😭

They literally give off the same energy, how did no one say anything before???!!?

THESE LITTLE TOFUS ARE OBVIOUSLY A SILLY PARALLEL TO THESE TWO AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE.

Okay now the next part of the Alibert inn scene is very important to me so listen.

Recently, I came scrolling on @moths-are-better’s recent posts about Yugo and I came up on the one where he drinks the “milk” that was in the cup in the scene below.

But like-

@moths-are-better STOP LYING TO YOURSELF THIS IS CLEARLY WINE!!!

Look at all the other people drinking in the inn before they left: they all had that same kind of cup, insinuating that they were drinking wine (and also cuz they confirmed it was wine while trying to avoid any possible future inflations with Alibert).

I just love how Ankama deliberately shows us small scenes like this to remind us that Yugo can do adult things even though he looks like a kid. Because THIS is one of those scenes! Just look at how Alibert quietly pulls the cup of wine away from Yugo as soon as the guy starts ranting about his problems.

That’s clearly not milk lol I just love your delusions @moths-are-better 💕💕

But not only did this scene made me realize that nothing can stop Yugo from doing adult things despite how he looks, it also helped me realize that Yugo is the type to only drink when he’s having problems. We clearly see him about to drink more while ranting to Alibert before he carefully pulls the wine away from Yugo cuz he KNOWS Yugo would drink more just for that.

That level of attention to detail is amazing and I’m so glad I managed to catch up to the hints early on.

Alibert be looking like Yugo’s bartender AND therapist in just that moment alone lol

Ngl I would’ve loved to see a drunk Yugo if he had been able to drink more before Alibert intervened.

This is making me wanna have kids too man….

His caring and calming attitude towards Yugo and the way he just treats him, cares for him, and acts like a responsible parent during all these years really makes me wanna do the same thing someday. Alibert is so good at his job(s) that he’s even beating a freaking goddess. Let that sink in. (actually any good parent like Alibert would beat the Eliatrope goddess’ parenting easily lol)

Alibert is genuinely so sweet, patient, thoughtful, and understanding of Yugo. Like even though he just heard Yugo say he finally found his true family, Alibert doesn’t take his words as insults and would rather just let him spill out all of his words to him.

When I said I missed these two like this, I really meant it. This inn is not only where Yugo was raised in but it’s also Yugo’s comfort place.

My ass knows this is foreshadowing.

It just knows.

Older Yugo where u at? We need to talk.

Ankama’s gonna ruin this family and laugh about it while eating some croissants.

Day 26: Action Magic - Crossover

Personality

Unlike Arc V Yuya, Genshin Yuya actually had a pretty good life. His dad never disappeared, he was never bullied, his craft is respected, and he has a large circle of friends and family. As a result, while he does suffer from stage fright, self-doubt, and occasional panic, its not, like, debilitating like it is for canon Yuya.

Backstory - The Good Times

Yuya is the heir to the Sakaki Travelling Theatre Troupe. The troupe is based in Inazuma (Narukami Island) and is run jointly by Yusho, Yoko, and Shuzo. Troupe policy is that every 5 years, they'll depart on a giant, lengthy swing across the entirety of Teyvat and perform in every major city.

Uniquely, these performances are all collaborations with local theatre companies. Specifically, they're envisioned as cultural fusions that combine Inazuman and local cultures.

During their stay, the theatre troupe will research and incorporate every foreign technique they can. As a result, their performances are always evolving. Once their tour has concluded, the Sakaki Travelling Theatre Troupe will spend 5 years in Inazuma, demonstrating everything they've learned to an enamoured audience.

Unfortunately, during one of their Fontaine performances, a rather disastrous technical issue caused an electrical fire. While casualties were few, two sets of half-identical quadruplets were orphaned. Furthermore, they were separated in the chaos and scattered across Teyvat.

Yuya and Yuzu are two of those quadruplets, saved and adopted by the heads of Sakaki Travelling Theatre Troupe. They are the only two quadruplets aware they have siblings, and dedicate much energy to finding their siblings.

Fortunately, the Sakaki Travelling Theatre's tours + the quadruplet's resemblance make reuniting easy. Often, the first thing someone will say to Yuya upon reaching Watasumi or Mondstadt will be "Are you Yuto/Yugo?"

They've never gotten close to Yuri or Serena. Those two were picked up by Arleccino. Lmao.

Yugo, Rin, Yuto and Ruri all have established lives, so they couldn't uproot to live with Yuya and Yuzu. Still, the siblings keep in touch and are close friends.

Yuya has a habit of collecting souvenirs. The blue sash and scaled belt is from Mondstadt (specifically Yugo) the jade rings are from Liyue, the leaf clasps holding his vision are from Sumeru, the goggles are from Fontaine, the claw bracelet is from Natlan, and the fur-lined glove is from Snezhnaya. The purple knot in his hair is from Yuto.

Yuya is also the self-proclaimed head of the Inazuman Youth GITCG Association. Locals refer to it as the Card Game Cult.

Backstory - The Bad Times

Unfortunately, the Sakaki Travelling Theatre Troupe ended up trapped in Inazuma during the Sakoku Decree. To make matters worse, they're, like, a high-profile acting troupe whose explicit mission statement is provoking change, evolution and improvement in Inazuman culture. Needless to say, once the VHD decree passed, they were among the first to be visited by the Shogunate.

Introducing Noboru Gongenzaka, a geo claymore user from a clan of Kujou-affiliated Samurai and Yuya's best friend. Although the Gongenzaka clan's position ensured Noboru's vision would not be taken, he nonetheless betrayed both nation and clan to smuggle Yuya and Yuzu to Watatsumi.

Sadly, while he made it in time to save Yuzu, he was too late to save Yuya, whose Pyro vision was embedded near the top of the Statue of the Omniscient god.

Here's the thing, Yuya's had his vision for 9 years, that's over half his life. It's connected to his fondest and most terrible memories, his passion for entertainment, his bond with his family, his pride in his skills, and his enthusiasm for accolades. Losing all that basically turned Yuya into a depressed, empty shell.

Infuriated, Yuzu, Gongenzaka, Ruri and Shun all joined the Resistance. Yuto, however, lacked a vision, so he was told to take care of Yuya instead. Witnessing the state of his friend and brother has not been kind to him.

This is a Yuya post though.

Relationships

Yusho and Yoko- Adopted parents, though the love between them is real. One of Yuya's greatest dreams in life is to deliver a performance so powerful his parents cry with joy. Also, he takes his father's advice, both in art and in life, deadly seriously. By the way, both that dream and his father's life advice are stuck inside his vision.

Yuzu: Fellow heir to the Troupe and Yuya's childhood friend. He's totally got a crush on her, but he hasn't confessed yet. Supposedly, once he receives a five-star review and a standing ovation, he'll confess to her as a reward. Guess what's in his vision!

Gongenzaka: Childhood best friends. Yuya watches every martial arts tournament Gongenzaka participates in, cheering him on, while Gongenzaka does the same at all of Yuya's performances. It's a pity he hasn't performed this year.

Yuto: the first sibling Yuya found and, due to their close proximity, the one Yuya meets up with the most. They drive Kirara quietly insane with all the letters, baubles, booster packs, rare cards, and presents they send between islands. Once Yuya figured out Yuto liked Ruri, he insisted on performing showy romances in front of them "to set the mood". It did not work, but Yuto considers it a symbol of Yuya's faith, prayers and support, so he treasures it greatly. Once, during one of his better days, Yuya coldly said he wished he'd never done it. "It was so stupid."

Yugo: the second sibling Yuya found. Since they're so far away, they can't keep in contact as much, but Yuya makes sure to meet Yugo at least once a year -even if it means missing some performances. At such times, Yugo will take Yuya on ill-fated (literally, since Yugo always lets Bennett join in "because he seems lonely.") adventures into unexplored domains. While they're always dangerous, the precious memories of their time together are worth it -and also the only treasure they ever find.

Yoimiya: Yuya is her biggest customer and they often geek out over pyrotechnics and fireworks. If Yuzu isn't careful, the Sakaki Theatre may burn down again sooner rather than later.

Itto: The only person who loves GITCG as much as Yuya. Yuya considers Itto's part in Heizou's scam play a comedic masterpiece. Not a week goes by without Yuya trying to recuit Itto for a play and getting shot down by Yuzu.

Serena: We'll get there eventually.

Kit

Elemental Skill: Setting the Stage!

Creates an Area of effect named the "EEZ". The EEZ has a 10-meter radius and is centred on Yuya's position. The borders of the EEZ are decorated with fireworks, sparkles, stars and smiles.

Within the EEZ, all party members are affected by pyro every 1s (cleanse), regain health based on Yuya's max atk, and receive base attack and EM buffs. Basically, he combines Bennett and Sucrose's buffs, but only to around 60% of Bennett and Sucrose's effectiveness.

The EEZ stands for Entertainment Evolution Zone but Yuzu called it cringe.

Elemental Burst: All Eyes On Me!

For 10 seconds, all Yuya's projectiles will explode on contact with enemies (Explosive Prologue). Afterwards, a second wave of projectiles will scatter from the enemy's location, which will explode in the same way (Second Act). Second Act can release as many waves as there are enemies, but each enemy can only release a wave once every 1.5 seconds. Switching out will not cancel All Eyes On Me!

What are your thoughts on DAI-XT? They’re an artist that mainly draw manly man units and gods they’re so good!

So far, they’ve drawn Bartre (Easter alt), Brigand Boss, Duo Duma and Mila (the very first time they can draw women), Flame Emperor, Gatrie, Gilliam, Merlinus, Osian and Raphael (Plegian alt).

I wouldn’t give it to them if given the chance, they can draw Boucheron and/or Louis, seeing how they can draw muscular guys and armoured units.

I really do like their art, and my GOODNESS they did Gilliam justice. Buuuuuut, I've have a couple of minor nitpicks with some of their pieces. Let's ignore that for now though and just review them starting with the good stuff.

DAI-XT is the artist for the characters you've listed above (And yes, I think they would absolutely NAIL Boucheron).

Yes, one thing that DAI-XT loves drawing is their MUSCLES:

(And yes, before anyone says it, these muscles ARE exaggerated and unrealistic. I know I gripe about boobs sometimes so to be fair I will note the muscles are unrealistic as well)

Their color and shading work is fantastic, and they have awesome expression work, maybe almost on par with Argon's expression work:

And all their characters are pretty varied. Merlinus is an old man, Brigand Boss is... Brigand Boss, lmao. Bartre is a total dad, and Gatrie's a strapping young lad (And cute, too). Plus with Mila, it means they can also draw women.

And I do have to thank them for giving the ladies SOMETHING with their Gilliam damage art (without it being too weird or overboard like Okuma Yugo's can be):

Now the one thing I will say is that their art for Duma is... underwhelming. I hate to compare between pieces, but I have to pull up Yoneko's Duma to really illustrate where I feel like DAI-XT fell flat:

It's not that DAI-XT's is BAD, per say; it's more that Duma's face is less defined in their version compared to Yoneko's. The nose is pretty basic, the eyes aren't as sharp, and the facial muscles aren't as defined either.

The other criticism I have is that I feel like Merlinus's attack pose could have used more work:

Though I will cut DAI-XT some slack in that Merlinus doesn't have much in the way of outfit design that leads to good posework. And also since Merlinus isn't an offensive unit (like, at all apparently).

So with all that being said, I think I could put DAI-XT at an 8.5/10. They're definitely a good artist who is steadily improving.

Tales From Dragon Inc. Chapter 1: The Lunch Thief

Yuya hummed happily as he worked on his paperwork. It was almost his lunch break, and he couldn’t wait to eat. Yuto had made him a special bento, and his cooking was absolutely delicious!

The tomato-haired boy checked the clock again. Just a few more seconds and it would be lunchtime! His tummy growled loudly at the thought of Yuto’s cooking, and he licked his lips. He was so hungry! He couldn’t wait.

“Five… four… three… two… one… LUNCHTIME!” Yuya cheered, jumping up from his chair. He rushed into the break room and threw the fridge door open, eagerly looking for his lunch.

But…

It wasn’t there…

There were plenty of bentos in the fridge, each with another employee’s name on them, but Yuya’s was nowhere to be found. He couldn’t believe it! He didn’t want to believe it! This couldn’t be happening! Oh no!

“No… nononononono!” Yuya cried, looking frantically through the fridge. “No, c’mon, tell me it’s still here!”

“What’s up, Yuya?~” Yuri purred, walking into the break room. “What’s all the fuss about?~”

“My lunch is missing!” Yuya wailed. “Someone stole my lunch!”

“WHAT?!” Yuri was furious. “Yuto, Yugo! Get in here!”

“What do you want, Yuri?” Yugo asked, walking into the break room.

“Someone stole Yuya’s lunch!”

“WHAT?!” Yuto was in the break room in a flash. He strode over to the fridge and began looking through it. When he didn’t see the lunch he made for Yuya inside, he was outraged.

Their boss, Zarc, walked into the break room for some coffee. He frowned when he saw the identical murderous looks on Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo’s faces, and the look of devastation on Yuya’s. “Ok, what happened?”

“Someone stole Yuya’s lunch!” Yuto said. “I worked hard on that lunch for him, and now it’s gone!”

Now Zarc was pissed too. He didn’t like the idea of having a thief working for him, especially one that stole the lunch of his favorite employee. He walked out of the break room and came back a few minutes later with a card.

“Yugo, take Yuya out to lunch. Use the company card to pay for it,” Zarc said, tossing the card to Yugo. “Yuri, Yuto, you two figure out who stole Yuya’s lunch, and tell me immediately when you do.”

“Yes, sir!” they all said together. Yugo gently guided Yuya out of the building as Yuri and Yuto began looking for the thief.

“So, where should we begin?” Yuri asked.

“Well, we could start by making a list of who we don’t trust, and interrogate them?” Yuto suggested.

“Sure. Let’s see… we’ve got a couple of new employees right? The guy in accounting, the guy in IT, the girl in HR…” Yuri listed.

“Didn’t Yuya say the new girl in HR is his childhood friend?” Yuto asked. “I think he even recommended her for the position. I don’t think she’d steal his lunch.”

“Can’t hurt to make sure, right?” Yuri pointed out. “Oh, and there’s also that new guy in sales. You know, the one that seems super sketchy. We should check him first.”

“What was sketchy about him?” Yuto asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I don’t know, just the feeling I got when I saw him. He feels like the kind of person that would take credit for other people’s ideas and throw people under the bus when he makes a mistake…”

Yuto blinked. As much as he didn’t want to admit it, Yuri was very good at sensing that kind of stuff. If he thought the new guy in sales was sketchy, then he was probably right. “Ok… well, yeah, we can check him first if you want….”

“I do want.”

So Yuto and Yuri went off to the new guy’s cubicle. Said new guy was devouring a bento that looked awfully familiar to Yuto. He recognized the tomato designs on the box, and the homemade yakisoba with pork, homemade fries, broccoli, and strawberries in the box. There were even the sticks with the cute little octopus and shrimp tempura toppers that Yuya adored in the broccoli!

“I think we found our thief,” Yuto muttered to Yuri. Yuri nodded, and they walked up to the new guy.

“Hey, there!” Yuri said with a smile that screamed murder. “Whatcha eating?”

“My lunch,” the new guy said with a mouthful of yakisoba.

“Oh, looks good! What is it? Is that yakisoba, fries, broccoli, and strawberries?” Yuri asked.

“Yeah, so?”

“Hey, Yuto, isn’t that exactly what you packed for Yuya’s lunch? You know, the one that someone stole from the fridge before he could eat it?”

The new guy froze and looked up.

“Yeah, it is,” Yuto said. “And hey, that bento box looks exactly like Yuya’s too!”

“Mhmm!” Yuri agreed. “So… who was it that made your lunch that looks exactly like our friend’s stolen lunch, hmm?”

“Uhh… my wife?” the new guy said nervously.

“Ah, your wife huh? Well she must really have the same tastes as Yuto! After all, she made the exact same thing he did!”

“Yeah, and she even used the same sticks I used in Yuya’s broccoli!”

“Uh… heh, wow what a wild coincidence, haha!” the new guy said. He was starting to sweat a little.

“You know, Yuya is everyone’s favorite coworker,” Yuri said casually. “He’s such a sweetheart! He makes everyone smile and laugh. Even the CEO adores him! In fact, I’m pretty sure whoever stole Yuya’s lunch is going to really regret it when Zarc catches them! I doubt they’ll ever be able to find a job in this industry again!”

“I-is that so?” the new guy was definitely sweating a lot more now.

Yuto looked down into the little wire wastebasket next to the desk. There was a little paper with some writing in it. He leaned down to pluck it out, and read the writing out loud.

“Yuya, I hope this lunch brightens your day as much as you brighten mine! Love, Yuto.”

“So, still gonna stick with the My wife made this bento for me story?” Yuri asked the new guy.

“I-I…”

Yuto and Yuri looked at him for a few moments. Then Yuri turned and yelled loud enough to make everyone in the office jump. “ZARC! WE FOUND THE THIEF THAT STOLE YUYA’S LUNCH! IT’S WHATSHISFACE, THE NEW GUY IN SALES!”

“SEND HIM TO MY OFFICE!” Zarc yelled back from his office.

Yuri smirked at the new guy. “Welp, you heard the boss! Off you go!”

The new guy reluctantly shuffled to Zarc’s office. Everyone he passed gave him the death glare. Yuri wasn’t lying when he said that Yuya was everyone’s favorite coworker. Stealing a coworker’s lunch was already an unforgivable crime, but stealing Yuya’s lunch was even worse!

The door to Zarc’s office closed behind the new guy, and moments later the sound of Zarc yelling at him could be heard. Yuri smirked, enjoying the sound of a bad employee being yelled at.

“Well, I’m going to have lunch now,” Yuto said. “You coming?”

“Yeah, I’m right behind you!” Yuri said, following Yuto to the break room.

Fortunately for them, their lunches were still in the fridge.

Any games that you really like?

I'm a long time follower of Tekken so I'm always happy when a new Tekken is announced :3

Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games I've played, even when I got stuck with it in such a way that there was no other way out than restart the whole game (they clearly hadn't thought about idiots like me who still can't aim near the end of the game lol). I'm excited for its remake!

I have played only the first Bayonetta but it was love at first sight! Everything in the first Bayonetta is like made for me. I especially love that the angels' are horrifying looking monsters from your nightmares.

I've been following Devil May Cry since the game was still on developers' table and we got first screenshots printed on a game magazine about it. Since DMC4 I haven't cared so much about it but I still follow the series and eventually will play each new game. I hope that now when the twin brothers Dante and Vergil are in Hell, DMC6 would literally be inspired by Dante's Inferno and Dante would go through Hell guided by Vergil. Such possibilities, aaaaah! ÖqÖ

Special mention goes to Katamari-series. In the game, you roll a round katamari and collect stuff with it to make stars (because the main character's father, The King of Cosmos, accidentally destroyed all planets). It's super fun to start from a small katamari and collect needles and stamps and paper clips and end up with a gigantic katamari collecting sky scrapers, small island and clouds! We Love Katamari is the 2nd installment and it's a game of how much people loved Katamari and wanted to roll more :D

I loved Pokemon Legend Arceus! I have never really played any Pokemon or followed the series but this was so cute and so entertaining I think I need to play more Pokemon games :3

Breath of Fire 3 is an amazing JRPG from the 90's. If you haven't played this, do yourself a favor AND PLAY IT. The story, the characters, the music. In what else game can you play as a mutated onion with cute screams?

Wild Arms 3 is also wonderful older JRPG. Very entertaining and straightforward to play. I'm currently still replaying it and this time I aim to finish it, as the last time 20 years ago I got stuck so badly I was unable to finish the game (it has some hard puzzles at times but luckily internet now exists in our pockets :D) Music is good!

From good music, I must mention a long time favorite Castlevania - The Symphony of the Night. Amazing soundtrack, amazing level design, amazing bosses oh my...! A dream game. <3

Not many know Bloody Roar series and to be honest, it would deserve a remake. I grew up with Bloody Roar 1 and enjoyed it a lot. It's a fighting game where the characters have an ability to turn into werebeasts, like Yugo here has turned into his wolf form.

Nier Automata is a game like I have never played or encountered before, it's absolutely INSANE! If anyone says games are just mindless entertainment, make them play this. So many awesome topics. It crushes your soul little by little in most horrifying ways and you're thankful about it. it makes you question your morals and ethics, as well as others' morals and ethics. If you like my comics, I think you'd enjoy Nier Automata, as some themes and elements are in both (though I could never write anything as insanely clever as NA is!)

The Last Guardian is amazing and very, very Japanese. This game as no aim, no side quests. You just travel with a big beast Trico and try to navigate your way out through different landscapes. Very atmospheric and realistic in a way that commanding Trico is sometimes difficult - just as commanding a wild beast would be. I don't think it was intentional that Trico doesn't do what asked so that you can go forward until after 10 minutes of you trying but I found it realistic when it happened, as frustrating as it was :'D

Of course, Final Fantasy VII, the original one, will go with me to my grave <3 QuQ

arc v 51-65 thoughts! JACK IS HERE FINALLY!!!! also crow. also, prison arc. they sent 14 year olds to actual adult prison! the gang learned about classism, corruption in the system and that you cant Beat Cops with Smiles, but with your Fists :)

-ok. in the back end of the reiji v yuya duel yuya seems surprised to hear yuzu is okay, just taken. and im like. OH IS THAT WHY HES SO UPSET?? HE THOUGHT SHE WAS /DEAD/??? I mean. you know what thats fair. being turned into a piece of paper/cardboard(?) cards. would usually mean death I guess and he did think thats what happened to her. I still think its silly for him to be so pissed at reiji who by all accounts is the nicest ygo rich guy in the entire serieses history imo. but reiji did withhold some info to test yuya a lil bit. but yknow. still.

-…reiji's mom…TOLD the WORLD about the war/invaders AND THEY CANCELED. THE. TOURNAMENT. THEY CANCELED IT AND PRIORITIZED THE WORLDS SAFETY. we ARENT getting a FULL TOURNAMENT ARC??? IN YUGIOH??? i am shocked. no way… (I know I said itd be really funny if a protag didnt win the tournament, but they CANCELED IT which is somehow even funnier to me) I cannot say I expected this at all but im not MAD abt it

-see the next ep when yuya v his mom we learn his mom was a former GIRL GANG BOSS??? WHERE HAS /THAT/ ENERGY BEEN THIS WHOLE SERIES??? instead of being a creep towards kids she couldve been characterized like this! the story abt her and yuyas dad is pretty cute but if /i/ i had a hot mob boss wife i wouldnt be telling her to solve everything with smiles not violence :) i would pick up a fucking bat with her. whatever its FINE

-god the lil montage of yuzu's dad dueling with her in a lil baby pouch on his back and pausing a duel to change her diaper was SO CUTE. TF BEST YGO DAD FOR REAL GOD. hes a duel school teacher!!! why!! cant he come to help!!!! why are they just letting an 18-19 yr old lead the lancers into anOTHER DIMENSION. i dont CARE that hes thee most responsible smartest guy ever or whatever. my god

-shun and serena are remarkably chill abt all of this, hope we see more of them talking and hanging out and stuff. like serena looks just like his sister and yuya looks like his bestie and u KNOW thats SO weird to him?? but also they were on oppisite sides of the war! i want! more interactions! (very funny theyre both kinda trailing reiji. tbh if /i/ was stranded in another dimension he would be the person id be latching onto out of this cast, too. very nice and level headed guy)

-MY GOD. yugo is SO sweet, his calm explanation to yuzu and them just sittin and talking was great. (his reaction to yuzu implying he loves rin was also very very cute. and rins design AUGH I love it SO much. yuzu is still best arc v girl for me but rins design is my fav. GREEN.) JACK!!! MENTIONED!!!

-while they were talking it sorta explained yugo v yuto was a huge misunderstanding bc yuto thought yugo was the Fusion Enemy and yugo thought yuto was yuri. very very understandable and funny. and also im starting to think everyone in this series is colorblind bc they cant tell any of the yuzu/yuya counterparts apart by hair… (also, speaking of yuri, where did he GO. whts HE up to. weve barely gotten any of him and id like More Please)

-it's…been a minute since I watched 5ds. years. and I only watched it once, so I know im probably going to get details wrong, but aside from jack and crow, all other charas so far are arc v originals? like melissa and Guy that Looks Like This :>/ arent in 5ds right… the city kinda looks different to me, but maybe its just the animation looks newer… are we going to get an explanation to where yusei is? bc if jack and crow are in this…like, none of the protags are in arc v. are they busy. is this a universe without them.

-I forgot how dystopian 5ds was! stupid rich ppl calling the cops on yugo and yuzu for LOITERING and acting like the lower class is a Threat is a lil too real…damn. yugo is so nice immediately just pulling her along to help while shes with him ;_; personality wise hes my fav of the yu boys so far… (I feel like such a traitor for this. sorry to yuto bc zexal is my fav series. but we barely got to see him. whenever he comes back im sure we'll get..more... and sorry to yuya bc I Love Clowns….but I love silly lil bikenana boy…willing to bet when we get more yuri he might fight for that spot bc i LOVE a good villain too…we'll see…)

-YUZU'S REACTION TO YUGO DWHEEL DUEL IS SO FUNNY SHES LIKE. SO RATIONAL THO. my GOD she kept saying he should stop to duel on foot and yeah. playing yugioh (or, any card game) on a bike would be insanely hard. like you have to basically have your cards ALL memorized bc you gotta keep ur eyes ahead to drive, right, so ud only be able to glance? everyone in synchro world has insane memorizing skills. (I know to a degree you'd be able to make the d-wheels have a sort of autopilot, but no, we see them steering themselves and accelerating themselves…)

-the animation kept cutting to 3d models while they were dueling on their bikes and it did Not Look Very Good. it was still very fun.

-yuzu Learns About Corrupt Police and Society Today! She once again is the Real Protag to Me. reporter cowgirl ladys design is cute!

-what was the point of the duel if the cops were gonna just set up a blockade anyway tf. the entertainment aspect is SO fucked lmao bored rich ppl. too real. yugo u dont need to rise in society u gotta burn it all down its all fucked. -_-

-YUZU HAS BEEN IN SYNCHRO WORLD FOR (1) DAY AND IS NOW A WANTED CRIMINAL!!! HOT GIRL SUMMERRRRR. (and by proximity, yuya and serena lol)

-LAYRA SAW COPS AND FLIPPED OUT. understandable but also WHO HURT U. SHINGO IMMEDIATELY NOT GIVING A FUCK AND IS READY TO DUEL THE COPS. -you know I understanding theyre tryin to duel their way out of it but letting ppl from synchro see: fusion, action cards, and pendulum in ONE GO seems DANGEROUS.

-sorry, but shingo being arrested while yuya is like YAY ACTION DUEL LET ME ENTERTAIN U ^_^ IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER. and everytime he asked layra if theyre okay they look like a goddamn espurr like O__O clearly NOT OK. VERY SCARED WITHOUT REIJI. WHY DID U BRING THIS TRAUMATIZED CHILD!!!

-there was a scene when yuya was like 'look at these beautiful ladies!" n his hippo girl monsters danced for an uncomfortably long time and the cops face kept being zoomed in on and he was like O__O this ep…i cant tell if its TRYING to make me laugh but it is, my god yuya u are making ME smile if no one else. for absolutely the Wrong Reason. the CHEERFUL TONE he takes on in this situation is SO NOT APPROPRIATE FOR THE GRAVITY OF BEING. ARRESTED. this cop hes dueling is also the most tirest man ive ever seen which makes it so much better

-crows entrance was absolutely INCREDIBLE. WITH THE MOODY THUNDER AND ALL!! HOLY SHIT. just the sound of revving in the distance building up to it CROWWWWW I LOVE U. still probably most excited for jack but STILL.

-ohh, yugo know doesnt what his parents look like huh…and yuzu doesnt know what her mom looked like? her dad, the most cheerful dude in the world never talked abt her? weird.. theres still the mystery of yuzu having her bracelet…id say maybe all the yuya/yuzu counterparts might be the same but no, yuya has both parents so…cannot rly do anything with this info rn…

-ok just a small thought, but in the op and the eps so far, the guy whos always looking over security (idk his name yet but he looks like this :>/) is implied to be the villain, and ig reijis dad might be one of the final villains, but we havent had any Very Present Active villains aside from GROUPS of invaders that are p much faceless…I want more like. Present Villains. does that make sense. dennis doesnt count btw hes just some guy whos hangin out.

not that it's a BAD thing. he wants to make people happy, and it makes him happy in turn when theyre cheering for him! thats fine! (an irl example would be like, I enjoy making art for others to make them happy. but I also enjoy getting positive feedback for my own satisfaction!) absolutely nothing wrong with it!

HOWEVER. the impression I've gotten so far is that yuya gets upset when his opponent is the one being cheered for (a good example was the michio duel and that annoying trivia kid duel. he didnt seem real happy when the audience was rooting for them and not him!) as opposed to…I cant believe I'm comparing him to dennis but. the dennis v gon duel was a great example of what I think a more genuine entertainment duel should be…they were playing the roles of hero v villain, and dennis was great at improv there, quickly turning into the villain when Straight Man to his Comedy Guy routine Gon accused him of being the Real Villain in that situation. like he ROLLED with it and was perfectly fine with gon winning bc it suited their lil story and the audience loved it! I think entertainment dueling SHOULD be like that, like improv and acting bc you're entertaining ppl. ur a performer. u need to go w the flow more.

(Okay, this might not have been the best duel to show it off bc 1. hes dueling JACK of all ppl who declared hes gonna WIN and. he Will. 2. this is a situation where hes trying to showcase the strength of the lancers, so it wouldnt do to THROW the duel. but he couldve played into jacks dramatics a bit, made himself out to be more of a dramatic underdog, or a potential upstarter…for wanting to be an ENTERTAINER I want to see yuya channel his dramatics a LOT more than he does. esp w jack of all ppl!) to me it feels like yuya also ties a LOT of his self worth to how other ppl perceive his role in duels too which is Unhealthy (and again. is an extension of the 'smile when u want to cry' stuff imo, also pretty unhealthy) I…dont know if any of this is That Deep or theyre just trying to make jack seem like an asshole. I WANT it to be this deep bc its a REALLY interesting trait for a protag to have!

-kinda love how ppl in the Tops are dressed like old timey victorians. (also a lot of them have very western names) it just creates a very. unique vibe

-can I also just say i LOVE LOVE LOVE the trope in ygo of 'person does what they think is the final finishing move, then theres smoke and everyone is like :0 and when the smoke clears, the person is still standing in the duel because of some trap/spell/effect' IT HAPPENS SO MUCH IN ARC V AND I EAT IT UP EVERYTIME.

-...jack gave this random child servant a card and told him it suited him and the kids mad jack 'changed' and got mad jack compared him to a 'weak card'...first off its gonna end up being smth like 'even weak cards have potential, none of them are useless, its like u, u feel like ur a low level but u also have potential' (which. very yusei thing btw) but also if my hero gave me a card i would literally be SO happy this kid is dumb asf. jack literally wasnt even being RUDE when he gave it to him and jack is usually SO Rude like CMON. 'wheeh i had NO cards and jack gave me one but its WEAK so i dont want it' this is called being ungrateful. i know hes a kid so I shouldnt be so annoyed but damn its rude. its a REALLY cute card too (not one I recognize and the text is in japanese but its a cute lil cyber girl with pink hair and a tuning fork and bc this is synchro I assume its a tuner monster or smth?)

design notes before headcannon infodump the left fullbody is reminiscent of his dark appearance but none sleeve and is kinda like his "i'm feeling especially confident today" fit and the right fullbody is self explanatory

additionally his glasses are now a lavender tint bc of residual dark star corruption adding a bit of red into his normal blue color

✶ After the events of BiS, Fawful did die. However, I really like the idea Super Paper Mario implemented, where characters who died, or "game overed," are sent to the Underwhere, and villains whose games end are basically trapped by Jaydes for eternity. Unless they escape of course. If a prisoner does manage to outsmart her and escape, Jaydes will respectfully let them live another life, knowing full well they'll be back eventually for her to punish ;)

✶ Fawful escaped the Underwhere and wound up getting ejected in the Mushroom Kingdom. He couldn't go back to the Beanbean Kingdom since he was a wanted criminal, and he couldn't stay in the Mushroom Kingdom for the same reasons. Therefore, he hopped a Bonneton airship and completely vanished off of the radar before his old enemies could find him again.

✶ He met up with Midbus again in the Sand Kingdom, surprisingly on a Bonneton delivery ship he snuck onto where he worked as a heavy lifter. Midbus left his job to stay with him, still extremely loyal even after he thought he was dead for years.

✶ Fawful ended up opening a repair shop in New Donk City after attempting to work under an engineering corporation, but quickly grew frustrated at how they "restricted his creativity." He still makes the occasional weapon to sell on the black market for emergency cash (and for himself).

✶ Leftover remnants of the Dark Star still live inside of him. It grants him a VERY weakened version of its abilities, but he can still kick ass in a fight with them. His main ability is creating dark lightning, but he can also summon the portals he used in his boss fight in-game. The portals have to be within his eyesight, however (if you've watched Wakfu, it's kinda like how Yugo's portals work). He’s very bad at controlling both powers, though, with the lightning either being only a singular spark or a sudden explosion of electricity, and the portals rarely teleporting him where he wants to go (has almost died multiple times from teleporting off of cliffs accidentally).

✶ Absolutely adores capes. It makes him feel powerful.

✶ Nearsighted as hell. Cannot see anything without his glasses unless it is inches away from his face.

✶ Has a bad overbite. If he closes his mouth fully, his upper row of teeth will stick out. (ik in-game art lines up his teeth n stuff but SHUTUP fawful with overbite is hella cute)

✶ Loud. Shouts constantly. Doesn't give two shits about what people think of him. Very quick temper. Literally vibrates like a chihuahua if he's not doing something. Absolutely feral.

✶ short king ✨✨ (i have no idea what the average size/mario’s in-game height is i’m not making an estimate but he’s definitely shorter than mario)

✶ I am hitting him with the aroace beam actually, as I do with all my favorites.

✶ Appreciates Midbus's company a lot. Sure it was only strictly professional (as professional as an evil villain with a lackey can get) at first, but he's glad that he has at least one friend. (i cannot see this as a potential ship at all like no way in hell). Midbus helps with his anger issues by listening to him scream-vent and acting as a punching bag since Fawful has no physical strength whatsoever.

✶ Toadsworth occasionally visits him once he discovers he's alive again. This is another whole big headcannon that I never shared with anyone where Toadsworth started this whole villain monitoring thing where he documents and keeps a watch over all of the villains the Bros/Peach/Bowser have faced over the years. They're tea besties.

✶ Those are slippers he's wearing. Not even actual shoes, just straight up slippers that you'd wear around the house while you get ready for bed. He is a fashion disaster and shouldn't be allowed to dress himself. He doesn't go outside of his house/shop often anyway.

✶ If he and Dimentio met, Dimentio would probably try to kill him on the spot, especially with the headcannon I have where Dimentio's death made him "lose" all of his magic while Fawful's death granted him magic. (lose is in quotations because it's more like he subconsciously forgot how to use it again, kind of like how Zuko "forgot" to firebend in ATLA season 3)
