OKAY SO I've gotten two asks about my Noisette cosplay AND THANK YOU SM FOR THE KIND WORDS !!!!!!!! It was sm fun to make this cos, so I will gladly explain everything I did in hopes that it might help someone else!! also both anons please share your cosplays with me when theyre done i would love to see them....

I've tried to link everything where I can, where I got stuff etc... I only rarely cosplay (although I am thinking of going as the noise in May Comiccon) and this was my biggest ever project so!! It's very trial-and-error! But without further ado

KATES EXTENSIVE(ish) GUIDE TO COSPLAYING NOISETTE FROM THE HIT GAME PIZZA TOWER!!!!!!! (warning its kinda long)

THE HAT

Okay i’m gonna be real my mum helped me so much she basically did all the sewing for me. Sewing is the fucking bane of my existence I hate doing it so much so we planned it out together and she basically executed it. Props to her for that she’s so real… She also wrote down what she did!! So i’ll just paste and colour that in for you to read!!

“The black material (seen in the above image) was originally a beanie hat that was picked apart to use as a template…

This was game changing basically. We had experimented with making the hat from scratch but it was far too difficult and we were both too stupid so we just unstitched a pre-existing hat and stole the template. The hat we cut up was one we had lying around for years so i cannot tell you where to get one from, but any beanie that is stitched together will work i guess! So I would recommend finding a hat that fits you snugly and doing the same thing!

…and the wool fabric that was utilised gave the finished product was stiff enough to be structurally sound.

I just got this from my local fabric shop, I would recommend wool over something like felt because it’s super sturdy and I was pulling on my mask a LOT.

Once sewn together, I attached a stiff card facemask to the front to help provide some structure, and to locate where the eye holes should be cut.

I think this picture shows it pretty well, my mum was able to curve the shape of the fabric to fit a pre-existing mask- we got ours from Hobbycraft, just one of those stringed white template masks yknow. We cut off the string, made the eyeholes a little bigger and just stuck it straight on!! I should mention this was pretty much all done with a sewing machine as well!

After that, we made two ears from a paper pattern, stuffed them and put some wire inside to allow them to be positioned, before sewing them onto this headband, which was then sewn into the hat. The bottom of each ear was also stitched to the crown to give it some additional stability and to secure the headband correctly in position (having fitted it on the wearer).

Yeah it was actually less of a mask and more of a headband!! That was what gave it most of the support and meant the ears would stay up, I’m not sure how it would work without it!! The ears were the only part that I could actually help with LMAO i just freehanded a little template, stuffed it, and then put in some modelling wire to make them able to be posed :)

Then it was a lot of hand sewing, and glueing the eyeholes to the mask to create a cohesive look.

AND YEAH that’s pretty much all it was! I also attached some little felt eyelashes to add to it as well. Honestly I could never come up with a step-by-step guide for the process because it was such a trial and error thing (i’d made two test-hats before we even came up with the method) but it was so fun!!

I would 100% recommend if you want the ears to stay UP to stuff them AS MUCH AS U CAN and/or put wire in them!! :) I also made some cute little bows to clip into my wig in the same fabric to make it more cohesive!! I also put a bow (and a bunny tail heheh) on the back of the dress too!!

THE DRESS

Super simple! I just found one online (okay for some reason the link has been taken off of the website, but just look up "overall dress" on google shopping and you will 100% find something super cute)- I made sure to buy the dress first, and then take it to the fabric shop to try and colourmatch the mask fabric as best as I could. Then it was just buying some big ol buttons off eBay and sewing them on!! (I could actually do that bit by myself, I'm bad at sewing but im not THAT bad)

EVERYTHING ELSE

Cute patterned knee-high socks cuz shes cute like that. Leg warmers, I think I got them both off of Amazon... Converse I got from Depop and I had wanted to buy a pair anyway so I was super stoked to get them cheap!! I chose converse over a pair of high-heels or Mary Janes just for comfort reasons, I was walking around loads at the con so... Everything else apart from the shirt was from Amazon or just. Somewhere online(I have no idea where to get fancy white gloves LOL) and the shirt was from Depop as well! I liked how frilly it was, re: Noisette is cute like that!!

oh yeah and the wig. I hate wigs it was awful. I have no idea how to style them. underneath the hat was the most awful bowl cut ever I just. It wasn't my best moment. Dont ask me about wigs please .

Also I should mention I got this bag for the cosplay (which I now use all the time cuz its so cute) because i needed space to store shit and I wanted something on-brand with her cafe... this isnt the exact link I used but I just got it off of ebay :P

PROPS

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of WIP pictures of my props but they were pretty simple to make!! The coffee cup was literally just spraypainting over a reusable coffee cup and using POSCA pen to draw on the front! Fun fact the cup says "To Peppino" because originally my boyfriend was gonna go with me as Peppino before the Cruetly Squad brainrot got to him so. YEA

And the tip jar was also pretty simple, I just painted on the lid a plastic jar (can't be glass, not allowed at ComicCon) and cut out a bit of vinyl to work as the sign. The cobweb was just hot-glued 3D printer filament, and the spider was made with foam modelling clay (literally the best thing ever if you're making small models like that) and i stuck him to the lid of the jar with Kandi string so he'd bounce around :]

AND I THINK THATS IT!! i may as well post a pic of the full cosplay since I dont think many people would have made it this far.... But I think it turned out pretty cool!! I got recognised a few times as well which was amazing!! (cropped out my bf cuz idk if he wants his face on tumblr gfhhfg)

re last post while im being chatty (sleeping pills do that to me): i have a kinda strange relationship w my knuckle tattoos. when i was 17 i was in a pretty rough spot in life. though i wasnt in The Absolute Worst Years, things werent going great on pretty much any front. i was failing out of school at the time, i saw no future for myself, i felt like i had fucked up all my options beyond any redemption. i lived in a "bad neighborhood", in a social housing apartment where i shared the one bedroom with my sister and my mom slept in the living room. i had like, two irl friends and one of those friendships was quite toxic and codependent. my mental health was abysmal and my parents were at the end of their rope with what to do with me. nobody even believed id manage to graduate high school anymore. i had no money except what i could glean from art commissions on tumblr and whatnot. i was perpetually broke and so were my friends (we shoplifted quite a bit at that time). i always knew my mom and i didnt exactly have much money but i was really feeling it then, and more than that, i felt like this prophecy was hanging over my head, that i would too end up like my parents: an underpaid worker in a shit job with seemingly no upsides or ways to move forward.

yet i had an inkling that one day i might get out of this; that i might one day escape this and 'rise above my station', 'make it' in some way. i pictured myself as someone who did make it: an older version of me, who i pictured very clean-cut and acceptable-looking, maybe wearing a suit or something. i hated that version of me; the sellout. i looked at that future me and thought: dont you dare forget about me. dont you dare forget about all of us here - not just my family but everyone i loved, and the people in the same neighborhoods and the same situation. i guess it was a moment of class awareness and solidarity. i thought: ill never let myself become a clean-cut, law-abiding, middle class sycophant who looks down on people like me.

so i got commission money for the cheapest tattoo machine i could get, some $50 crappy machine i got off ebay that came with needles and inks, and i sat at my kitchen table one afternoon with an internet friend on a skype call and tattooed my own knuckles - right hand tattooed with the left hand and all. i chose "DIRT POOR". i thought: there. not only can i see it, everyone can. i can rise up as much as i can in the world. but there will always be this neon sign on my hand that says: i came from here.

and i stuck with that for a very long time. i loved those tattoos. when i stopped loving them (because theyre kinda ugly, and i dont like explaining them to people, etc) i still loved the meaning behind them.

but then i actually 'made it'. i mean, not really. i didnt truly make it. i dont have a job, my main income is disability benefits, but im blessed that i also have my etsy shop and a roommate who helps with rent and a very cheap apartment, all of which means i have an income thats almost minimum wage and benefit from a lot of government aid, and through that ive set aside sizeable savings. i dont have to worry about paying for my food or home or clothes or other necessities, and i can go for drinks with friends or order takeout or buy myself little eccentricities just because i want to. i certainly didnt turn out clean-cut and proper in a suit, but i got to a place that 17 year old tattooing himself on a dirty kitchen table thought hed never get to.

and now that im here the tattoos feel.. silly. shameful. the people who ask me about them are most often panhandlers - and when i translate what it means to them i feel like such a poser. like, dirt poor? really? but im not dirt poor. im doing fine. if i dont get into the extensive backstory of the tattoos every time, i just.. look like someone trying to look rougher than i am. i feel like im appropriating a struggle that is no longer mine. and i dont even like the tattoos anymore and havent for a long time, and now the message itself doesnt feel worth having them.

like id forget where i come from if i didnt have it etched in my hands? like i even needed that reminder anyway? in the end, i got these because i didnt trust myself - because i thought my class solidarity was disingenuous, opportunistic, based only in my current circumstances. but ill never forget how i grew up. the message is already in me. i never needed a reminder. my past will always be a part of me.

so, anyway, ive been thinking of getting the tattoos lasered off. im far from being sure i wanna do it, though almost only because of the price, but ive been considering it often. i still feel a bit like its a betrayal of my 17 yo self. but then again, i think if he saw me now, 10 years older and in the position im in now, hed probably get it. hed see i havent really changed, not in the important ways. i think in the same way i need to forgive my past selves, maybe they too need to forgive me for moving on from them. so i really might get the laser, if not soon, then someday.

if i do, ill still have other hand and finger tattoos, so it wouldnt change much if i get new knuckle ones. if that does come to pass - im thinking "GOOD LUCK" this time.

stupid rambling about oc lore. warning its probably going to be very long so dont press "keep reading" or whatever it says if you dont want to read a lot

BIG WARNING!!! THE LORE OF MY OCS CONTAINS MENTIONS OF DEATH, S/H, PARENTAL ISSUES AND ALCHAOL.

okok who do we start with. fries!

lookie look, theres fries!! so they kind of put up a silly and carefree act to disguise their worries. what are their worries, you ask? haha. parental issues. fries has an older sibling, curly fries. uhh i actually need to develop some lore and characters so curly fries needs pronouns ermmm *stares at the video im watching for like two minutes.* xe/her for curly fries!! ANYWAYS. their parents are potato (f) and onion rings (m) and they got into arguments a lot. like. a lot. fries is maybe two years younger than curly, so fries was a lot more sensitive to it. they were always scared of the yelling and often found the most comforting place was their closet. yes they hid in the closet. curly was the only one who knew about this and sometimes would try to comfort them, but most times would just lay in xeir bed unbothered by the yelling. this ended up with potato (fries and curly's mother) leaving the family. fries' fear of the yelling carried on into adulthood.

now to skip on over to smoothie for further explanation on fries i guess!1 so smoothie uerhmmm she has 2 siblings. Lemonade, she/her, and uhh mango something hang on google helpme uhh ok anyways as i was saying, Mango Juice, he/they. mango is younger than smoothie (or Strawberry Banana Smoothie but who wants to type that 300 times) while lemonade is older. mango would often BEG smoothie to play or talk to something else while lemonade would always tease and affectionately bully smoothie. all this landed smoothie with something like anger issues! as an adult, it often gets angry at her coworkers and gets into arguments over call with them.

and now can you guess why we had to quickly switch to smoothie? heeahh. yeah sometimes it yells at its coworker which overwhelms fries. when smoothie's having an argument fries often hides in the bedroom (cheeb, fries and smoothie share an apartment) and if cheeb is there, he'll usually comfort fries until smoothie is done.

cheeb lore!??! haha you wish! yeah no cheeb doesnt get lore. no siblings though

smoothie, cheeb and fries all met in lets say uhh late middle school? yeah uhh. fries' parents really started getting in arguments when they were 14. they put up a sillier act so that their few friends didn't worry about their personal life (it was very complicated, and a few months into highschool is when fries' mother left) smoothie is the one who started the relationship like early highschool id say. smoothie and cheeb moved into fries' apartment eventually, but fries' bed didnt have room for them all soo they basically rotated someone sleeping on the couch until they could save up for a bigger bed. now they all sleep together woohoo

night and spike are currently lore-less but i think inki is cooking somethng up for them

i would do scroll and quill but i feel like their lore would be best explained through writing the whole thing or writing certain scenes (couhg cough, scroll attacking inkpad, cough cough) <- wait what no who said that not me those arent spoilers at all inki doesnt even know the lore and shes practically the reason theyre still here!! i drew them once and she drew them so i was like "WOAH OC APPRECIATION??!?! THEYRE GONNA STAY!!" and. yeah! they have lore and yeah.

hmm hmm.. i could to laptop but shes basically a mephone knockoff... except featuring firey beefy die... (dont ask)

rat cage uhh i havent really figured out everything for her but i know the basis! nerd. she didnt have a home so she just lived in various alleyways and got in many fights. eventually, guess what?! her leg got cut off! because of her nerdiness she managed to find a whole lot of metal scraps and other stuff and built herself a new leg! woohoo! uhh and now she has a girlfriend. ferret cage. also they both have their respective animals, a rat named riley and a ferret named felicity. because i said so.

MOP AND WET FLOOR SIGN!!

ok so they started out working idk somewhere shrugs and thats where they met. wet floor sign, due to having no arms (HAHA L FOR HIM!! L!!) was just used to mark out messes. mop, due to being a mop (HAHA L FOR THEM!! L!! HAHA!!) was the one who cleaned these messes. because they saw each other so often, they decided to start talking. they went on break together and stuff and exchanged phone numbers. fast forward a bit and theyre really close (though wet floor sign isnt a fan of mop's gen alpha slang but honestly finds it amusing) and uhh mop asks (that whole thing i wrote? remmeber that?) and uhh yeah they started dating and suddenly wet floor sign just. seemed depresed. so mop went over to their apartment and it was pretty much a mess. "dang bro you live like this" after talking for a bit and mop helping comfort wet floor sign, WFS (i dont want to type it anymore im sorry 😭) admits that his mother passed away eventually they get a job as janitors at scroll and quill's library hang on i have like a whole scene planned out shrieks chat hold on i cant play horse game and ramble at the same time 💔💔

ok uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so scroll and quill do something and mop (to WFS) is like "i wish we had a bond like that" (they love ecahother but they still get in playful arguments a fair amount of the time) "they're married" "so whats the next step towards marriage?" "uhhhhhhhhhhhh idk moving in" "so can i move into your apartment? :]" "uhhhhhhmhmhahahhhhhh" "okay thanks" and mop moves into WFS' apartment! woohoo! yeha. n othing more than that.

hmhmhmhm what other ocs exist... i mean i can kinda go into globe

globe time!! ryu come get ya girl (not tagged because idk if you want to read this whole thing)

so uhh one time scroll and quill went to a park. quill wantwed to get ice cream because yes and uhh globe was just. there and started flirting with scroll who was extremely freaked out. when quill got back, he was weirded out because who is this and what are they doing with his husband. uhh and then globe embarrasses herself because she was into scroll but she just cant stop thinking about him thats basically how globe was introduced!! she has no childhood lore she develops weird obsessions with those that love her, so she scares off people, which makes the obsessions worse she has two cork boards to fill with pictures of people she likes only 3 people were actually (romantically) interested in her. soda bottle cap, MG and mug (made by ryu! woohoo!). soda bottle cap was freaked out with how she has a lot of pictures of people around her house, so he left her. MG was freaked out SHOOT MY FRIEND FOUND ME IN THE SILLY HORSE GAME anwyays MG was freaked out by globes weird obsessive personality and she fearfully left her. mug, though he literally mugged multiple people and is probably a criminal, was freaked out by how clingy and obsessive she was and left her. when she saw scroll, for some reason she just. fell so deeply in love. she stalks him. she has so many pictures of him that she took (WITHOUT HIS CONSENT) and most definitely has a body pillow of scroll MASSIVE OBSESSION. she even got herself banned from their library. quill absolutely hates her.

shes tried other people, shes tried dating apps, but no one was interested. no one really loved her (romantically)

yeha thats all her lore. who else... looks at my oc list

stanley? anyone want stanley? hhhhhhmmmm nah. i dont feel like her lore rn because its not quite developed..

oh golly lets do drawing pen. alcoholic idiot

so he was best friends with drawing pad since they were young kids. eventually, theyre young adults, and playing truth or dare beacuse theyre stupid and on the side of the road. seeing the road was empty, drawing pen dared her to cross the road. but RUH ROH RAGGY!!! SPEEDING CAR COMES AND SHES DEAD. haha corpse. drawing pen is so broken by this, he doesnt know how to cope. so guess what he does? gets a drinking addiction, of course! yeah. he needs it to stay sane i guess. because if he doesnt then he sees illusions of drawing pad! woohoo! yeha. kind of a father-daughter relationship with laptop i guess.

ok whats happening uhh scratch art paper!! she doesnt really have too much lore but she does have some! so her best friend is chalk, a blue piece of chalk uhh and yk her epick marks? well. they hurt to be made most of them she made herself its something like S/H. chalk helps her not do it again and LIGHTLY did one mark, but sometimes rainbow is tempted

okay. im thinkinggggg he/him? very loud. very obnoxious. only a few friends, lets say uhh... lunch tray (she/her), eraser cap (they/it) and hmmmm lets make him someone whos interested in him! paperclip? paperclip. she/her. paperclip has a crush on school bell and tries to appear cool to him but fails. shes close friends with eraser cap and tries to learn how she could get him to like her but in the end she thinks she'd embarrass herself. this is becoming too much about paper clip lets go back to school bell!! so he's kind of oblivious to paper clip (adiren agreste style) (<- sorry if that reference is outdated i never finished watching mlb i got like the first few episodes of season four and i havent seen it since 😭) and he uhh... im throwing them into school because i want to. theyre in highschool. anyways school bell is like a basic jock and tries to make his friends laugh over an actual grade. paper clip finds this cute. he has some sort of a crush on paper clip but he doesnt really realize it because i like torturing my characters that are in love uhh yeha eventually paperclip convinces eraser cap to give school bell a note from her (wow a lot of names) and uhh school bell kind of confronts her but uhh in the end they date. wow a lot of lore made up on the spot!! lunch tray only mentioned once. shes the most supportive of paper clip and school bell.

i hope you enjoyed this idk if ill make more but uhh for scroll and quill if you guys want me to write like uhh... scroll attacking inkpad, the confession, the first encounter with inkpad, any other scenes im thinking of but idk how to describe. like i would just summarize it as "nightmares" but honey thats not enough context ok yeah anyways if you want me to write some of those scenes i might thumbs up emogi im done this is a lot of writing woohoo! oc lore. fun. if you want to see any of them i will (HOPEFULLY) be able to provide you with art or at least their asset!!1 any other characters i forgot feel free to ask for their lore. i dont know what im doing shrieks YEAH THATS OC LORE FOR YA!!! i forgot penny, barnes and vanille (idk her last name. the desert tissue box.) but idk what their apocalypse situation is, they just exist with brief ideas as of now the other dream characters dont have lore sorry guys ok im going to stop rambling now. bye bye!!

Hmm!!! What a good question!

All of them have orders when Lloyd is away if there is an ongoing construction project! Lloyd leaves for Namaran while there is still some apartment and sewer construction being done, so he simply makes sure Sir Bayern has them continue what theyre doing while he's gone. I imagine this is the same every time.

As for what they do when they don't have ongoing projects.... I don't know for sure! But let's tackle these in order, and go over what we know!

Engineers - the most generalized of the crews. They were the original workers of the fiefdom and in fact many were standing military! At least 100 of these guys have military training, and if there's truly nothing to do, the original 100 can probably go back to classic training. As for those who joined later, many people who joined were actually normal people in the fiefdom looking for work, so it may not be a regular crew! If there isn't work to do, they may return to farming or merchant jobs. That said, I'm sure there will always be something for someone, whether is maintaining waterways or roads.

Cavalry - Ah yes, the royal cavalry.... I'll be frank. I don't fuckin know why these guys are still with the Fronteras lmfao. But we're not here to think about that lol. They are part of the engineers now, but they are a royal military group, so I imagine if there aren't miscellaneous tasks for the engineers to do, they would also go back to military training. They're also specifically the toughest and best part of the engineers now, like a specialized group, so that either means theyll get used way more or way less.

Orcs - ahhh the orcs. Love these guys. After the blood pact, they send a group of orcs to help in the coal mines, and that never changes! They'll always need some orcs in the mines, its a tough job for humans. Later on, during the monster domino, Lloyd convinces them to move into the County itself (though not as subjects, just moved closer). So similarly to the normal engineers, I imagine if there isn't a job, they just go back to their orc lives in their village!

Elves - this is an intriguing thought because as far as I know, the elves were meant to only be recruited for the apartment complex construction. But technically, I guess, Lloyd just asks for 100 elves to work as metal workers. Hmm. The elves definitely specialize in the apartment construction, but... I have no earthly clue what they do in downtime. Their home is a little far, and technically they need to work to send coal back their village... hmm. Odd jobs I guess? They also may just train in downtime - after all, that's what theyve been doing for hundreds of years.

Skeltons - im fuckin with you, we know these skeleys just sleep in their lil coffins when theyre not needed lol (=^▽^)σ

Draggy - he pouts when he's not needed. And apparently beats up sea wildlife.

arc v 51-65 thoughts! JACK IS HERE FINALLY!!!! also crow. also, prison arc. they sent 14 year olds to actual adult prison! the gang learned about classism, corruption in the system and that you cant Beat Cops with Smiles, but with your Fists :)

-ok. in the back end of the reiji v yuya duel yuya seems surprised to hear yuzu is okay, just taken. and im like. OH IS THAT WHY HES SO UPSET?? HE THOUGHT SHE WAS /DEAD/??? I mean. you know what thats fair. being turned into a piece of paper/cardboard(?) cards. would usually mean death I guess and he did think thats what happened to her. I still think its silly for him to be so pissed at reiji who by all accounts is the nicest ygo rich guy in the entire serieses history imo. but reiji did withhold some info to test yuya a lil bit. but yknow. still.

-…reiji's mom…TOLD the WORLD about the war/invaders AND THEY CANCELED. THE. TOURNAMENT. THEY CANCELED IT AND PRIORITIZED THE WORLDS SAFETY. we ARENT getting a FULL TOURNAMENT ARC??? IN YUGIOH??? i am shocked. no way… (I know I said itd be really funny if a protag didnt win the tournament, but they CANCELED IT which is somehow even funnier to me) I cannot say I expected this at all but im not MAD abt it

-see the next ep when yuya v his mom we learn his mom was a former GIRL GANG BOSS??? -god the lil montage of yuzu's dad dueling with her in a lil baby pouch on his back and pausing a duel to change her diaper was SO CUTE. -shun and serena are remarkably chill abt all of this, hope we see more of them talking and hanging out and stuff. like serena looks just like his sister and yuya looks like his bestie and u KNOW thats SO weird to him?? but also they were on oppisite sides of the war! i want! more interactions! (very funny theyre both kinda trailing reiji. tbh if /i/ was stranded in another dimension he would be the person id be latching onto out of this cast, too. very nice and level headed guy)

-MY GOD. yugo is SO sweet, his calm explanation to yuzu and them just sittin and talking was great. (his reaction to yuzu implying he loves rin was also very very cute. and rins design AUGH I love it SO much. yuzu is still best arc v girl for me but rins design is my fav. GREEN.) JACK!!! MENTIONED!!!

-while they were talking it sorta explained yugo v yuto was a huge misunderstanding bc yuto thought yugo was the Fusion Enemy and yugo thought yuto was yuri. very very understandable and funny. and also im starting to think everyone in this series is colorblind bc they cant tell any of the yuzu/yuya counterparts apart by hair… (also, speaking of yuri, where did he GO. whts HE up to. weve barely gotten any of him and id like More Please)

-it's…been a minute since I watched 5ds. years. and I only watched it once, so I know im probably going to get details wrong, but aside from jack and crow, all other charas so far are arc v originals? like melissa and Guy that Looks Like This :>/ arent in 5ds right… the city kinda looks different to me, but maybe its just the animation looks newer… are we going to get an explanation to where yusei is? bc if jack and crow are in this…like, none of the protags are in arc v. are they busy. is this a universe without them.

-YUZU'S REACTION TO YUGO DWHEEL DUEL IS SO FUNNY SHES LIKE. SO RATIONAL THO. my GOD she kept saying he should stop to duel on foot and yeah. playing yugioh (or, any card game) on a bike would be insanely hard. like you have to basically have your cards ALL memorized bc you gotta keep ur eyes ahead to drive, right, so ud only be able to glance? everyone in synchro world has insane memorizing skills. (I know to a degree you'd be able to make the d-wheels have a sort of autopilot, but no, we see them steering themselves and accelerating themselves…)

-the animation kept cutting to 3d models while they were dueling on their bikes and it did Not Look Very Good. it was still very fun.

-yuzu Learns About Corrupt Police and Society Today! She once again is the Real Protag to Me. reporter cowgirl ladys design is cute!

-what was the point of the duel if the cops were gonna just set up a blockade anyway tf. the entertainment aspect is SO fucked lmao bored rich ppl. too real. yugo u dont need to rise in society u gotta burn it all down its all fucked. -_-

(an irl example would be like, I enjoy making art for others to make them happy. but I also enjoy getting positive feedback for my own satisfaction!) absolutely nothing wrong with it!

HOWEVER. the impression I've gotten so far is that yuya gets upset when his opponent is the one being cheered for (a good example was the michio duel and that annoying trivia kid duel. he didnt seem real happy when the audience was rooting for them and not him!) as opposed to…I cant believe I'm comparing him to dennis but. the dennis v gon duel was a great example of what I think a more genuine entertainment duel should be…they were playing the roles of hero v villain, and dennis was great at improv there, quickly turning into the villain when Straight Man to his Comedy Guy routine Gon accused him of being the Real Villain in that situation. like he ROLLED with it and was perfectly fine with gon winning bc it suited their lil story and the audience loved it! I think entertainment dueling SHOULD be like that, like improv and acting bc you're entertaining ppl. ur a performer. u need to go w the flow more.

(Okay, this might not have been the best duel to show it off bc 1. hes dueling JACK of all ppl who declared hes gonna WIN and. he Will. 2. this is a situation where hes trying to showcase the strength of the lancers, so it wouldnt do to THROW the duel. but he couldve played into jacks dramatics a bit, made himself out to be more of a dramatic underdog, or a potential upstarter…for wanting to be an ENTERTAINER I want to see yuya channel his dramatics a LOT more than he does. esp w jack of all ppl!) to me it feels like yuya also ties a LOT of his self worth to how other ppl perceive his role in duels too which is Unhealthy (and again. is an extension of the 'smile when u want to cry' stuff imo, also pretty unhealthy) I…dont know if any of this is That Deep or theyre just trying to make jack seem like an asshole. I WANT it to be this deep bc its a REALLY interesting trait for a protag to have!

-kinda love how ppl in the Tops are dressed like old timey victorians. (also a lot of them have very western names) it just creates a very. unique vibe

-can I also just say i LOVE LOVE LOVE the trope in ygo of 'person does what they think is the final finishing move, then theres smoke and everyone is like :0 and when the smoke clears, the person is still standing in the duel because of some trap/spell/effect' IT HAPPENS SO MUCH IN ARC V AND I EAT IT UP EVERYTIME.

-...jack gave this random child servant a card and told him it suited him and the kids mad jack 'changed' and got mad jack compared him to a 'weak card'...first off its gonna end up being smth like 'even weak cards have potential, none of them are useless, its like u, u feel like ur a low level but u also have potential' (which. very yusei thing btw) but also if my hero gave me a card i would literally be SO happy this kid is dumb asf. jack literally wasnt even being RUDE when he gave it to him and jack is usually SO Rude like CMON. 'wheeh i had NO cards and jack gave me one but its WEAK so i dont want it' this is called being ungrateful. i know hes a kid so I shouldnt be so annoyed but damn its rude. its a REALLY cute card too (not one I recognize and the text is in japanese but its a cute lil cyber girl with pink hair and a tuning fork and bc this is synchro I assume its a tuner monster or smth?)

Hello anon i am about to present to you some of the most boring motherfuckers youve ever laid your eyes on.

OK SO.

In late january 2 years ago, me and my good friend Raya (@ randomstuffifindinteresting) were makin stupid unfunny jokes about the stereotype of the hypermasculine homophobic dudes with so much internalised homophobia. Thus, Chad, Brad and Jake were born.

I dont draw them seriously very often, its mostly meme redraws, but theyre very basic looking people and dont have a hell of a lot going on with their outfits anyway. you can see a majority of the memes and stuff at (@oh-em-gee-oh-sees) but theyre a little old.

So Brad is kind of the favourite because both me and Raya want to smooch him LMAO. Hes 6'1, a lil chubby, got big ol tits and one of them big ol curved noses. Personality wise, he's more reserved than anyone else in the group and likes to listen more than he likes to contribute. He doesn't feel like he has many hobbies or interests because he just moves through life. He likes to be an observer. He is BIG into music though. I guess you could say its his special interest, but he certainly doesn't know that. He particularly likes women's pop music kind of as a comfort thing? Growing up, it was just him and his mom so he finds it calming. He doesn't bring it up very often though. Whenever he's zoned out at the kitchen counters you can imagine he's thinking about it. He also likes baking, but he doesnt do it enough to consider it a hobby.He's also pretty sensitive but struggles to be emotionally available. His love language is acts of service and quality time. He's for sure autistic but I dont know if he knows that lmao. He likes bracelets, especially beaded ones with coloured string inbetween because he likes to pick at them during the day. He has some weird aunts and uncles that pop up time to time, usually with no idea that he cut off the rest of his family for reasons I won't get into. They're all eccentric, but they're all very sweet.

Chad is Brad's husband and possibly the only functioning member of the group. Hes the only one who can carry a conversation outside of them, be it a starbucks employee or their upstairs neighbours. But hes also fuckin angry all of the time. It doesnt take a lot of teasing to piss him off and when he does he gets this very slight southern accent on some of his words, which only insights more teasing. Mostly from Jake. He fucking HATES Jake (affectionate). He is actively working on it though, and he has gotten a better at controlling it. He's banned from the kitchen and has been since about a month after the three dudes moved into their apartment. Safe to say, Brad does most of the cooking. Chad's definitely the strongest of the group, which is absolutely definitely not overcompensation for his height and how inferior it makes him feel. Like, realistically he knows its stupid to be that hung up on it, and no one actually cares, but his parents were VERY strong on gender roles and it stuck with him. If his dad, who would take him outside to chop wood and thats it found out he grew up to be 5'4? Chad doesn't like to think about it. His parents do know though. They're the only ones in contact with any of them, and noone is thrilled about it. Every six months or so, they'll travel up north to see their son and ask him all the typical questions. Do you have a girlfriend, whenre you getting married, etc. Not out of ignorance either, they know he's married and they often do it while his husband is in the room. His dad will often make snide remarks about his physicality disguised as jokes, too. And although Chad gets furious at them every single time, he's the best at not blowing up when its them. He'll squeeze Brad's hand whenever something happens, but thats about it. Until they leave and he has to lay down from how exhausted he is. He only lets them stay because a part of him wants to believe they'll accept him. And they dont even know about Jake. He goes to stay at the girl's apartment while theyre over. Chad's discomfort in femininity certainly doesn't last long, though, because he's the type of person who runs STRAIGHT at what he's afraid of swinging wildly. He started wearing dresses and such, and a few weeks later started doing small-scale performances in restaurants and local theaters, for which Vivere was the ultimate hypeman. He probably wouldn't wear a dress without an occasion, but hes comfortable enough to do so now.

Jake is a fucking. loudmouth. Everythings a game to him. He likes to poke at people (metaphorically and literally) to see where the limit is. Whats frustrating too is that hes good at it. He's good at finding where the limits are, what not to say, what exactly to say thatll push your buttons but not in a way thatll actually upset you. He likes to be annoying as possible. This goes hand in hand with his avid use of sex jokes. All the time. He's a big fan of the kind of comedy where you take a joke thst isnt funny to begin with, and then run it into the ground until its dead and gone. He especially likes to tease Chad because hes the most reactive,and he finds the southern accent fucking hilarious. He's your typical blonde-guy-with-mullet - He likes to drink energy drinks until his chest hurts. He vapes, which everyone else hates (except Brad, who only really has an opinion on it because Chad does). He won't say anything about it until it becomes to much for him and he breaks down, but its partially self sabotage. As is his hypersexuality. He has a weird relationship with sex in that being hypersexual is freeing from his hyperreligious upbringing, but he also uses it as a way to hurt himself. Mentally he's definitely the worse off. He's the smartest too, but chooses not to use it. He slips in and out of polyamory with Brad and Chad - they consider themselves 'dating' but it wont ever go further then that and hes free to do whatever outside of that. Its very casual, and Jake has an intense fear of commitment. Its kind of just him appearing at their door at night and asking if he can sleep in their bed that night. He's a LOT worse than he lets on. He does have anxiety which mostly manifests as him picking at his fingers until they bleed. He'll occasionally have panic attacks and the like, for which he has a psychiatric service dog that Ive only done an hour or so's research on so Ill do that soon. His name is still undecided because he had an original name that was stupid, but now hes a service dog and not just a pet i wanna change it, lmao. Despite all of the redirection and unhealthy coping mechanisms, Jake is a very loving person and his friends love him too <3! He and Brad have been best friends since year 4/3rd grade. They met because Brad was drawing and Jake came over and was like "wow youre good at drawing. can you do the keep out signs for my secret hideout?" and then Brad followed him around like he'd been adopted by an extrovert. They met chad in school about 4 or 5 yearz after they became friends.

Vivere is our resident person who could for sure intervene and fix thing but instead is going to watch it burn down. I wouldn't say shes lazy, she's more just someone who wants entertainment, and shes found an easy source. She can be pretty genuine, but she's always lighthearted. She's on the ace spectrum, but couldn't tell you where. She and Jake are best friends. Shes the bright ideas, hes the execution. They remind me of Team Rocket LMAO. She is an avid cheater of games. She has never not cheated at a board or card game. She brags about cheating but she has a poker face of steel. She'll make monopoly trades with Jake in order to fuck over the other players. Its easy to spot when Jake's cheating because he cant stop grinning, so Viv likes to set him up and encourage it to take the attention off of her ploys. Other than that, she's really into reading. Shes partial to horror, but she'll read just about anything. She also loves animals, But not the typically cutesy ones. She likes reptiles and bugs most. She and Mori have a gecko called Egg and if anything happens to him she'll run away forever /j. She also loves looking into pseudoscience, because she finds it interesting whether or not she believes in them. She is a strong believer in the principles of yes-and and will commit to a bit even if it kils her. She's here for a good time, not a long time.

Mori is tied favourite with Brad, for sure. She's 6'4 and always smiling - not a big one, but its always there. Like what can i say? she loves her friends. She likes kind of old-timey things. She has a pocket watch that never gets used but is there, on of those dial up telephones, etc. She loves collecting too, so she has an EXTENSIVE record collection that she considers her life's work at 22. She loves the sea and pirates and everything that goes with it. Mori also has a few ships in a bottle placed delicately on her windowcill. She's REALLY good with animals and trains dogs for work. She's a dog person for sure. She and Viv eventually want rats, but theres not much space in their apartment for the amount they would need and they have Egg for now. In terms of her dynamic in the group, she serves as the mediator - particularly when playing a game like Uno or Monopoly. (Side note: they had to write colours on the cards for both games because of her colourblindness. Does she know shes ginger? good question, i dont know.) Unlike Jake and Viv who are determined to cheat the rules, Mori is more flexible in the way that she'll change the rules for the group if a compromise is needed. She's the second most social competent after Chad, shes just very charismatic. She also is the Dungeon Master when they play DnD together. She's big on dice collecting. She has them all organised by colour (Vivere helps lmao) in jars and displayed on her drawers. The group is extremely tight-knit and are almost always with atleast one other member of the group, but Mori has never been spotted in just a tshirt and jeans. The pirate outfit stays on during sex /j. What does she wear for pyjamas? No one knows. Vivere refuses to tell.

Uhhhh yeah I think thats basically it, LMAO. Tysm for asking and sorry this took a while to answer. but yeah! Here's the little dudes!!!! TBH i always enjoyed OCs that dont have any magical powers or plot theyre just people livin their lives, lmao. <33

ok so fear street is actually a very simple premise, i havent watched it in a while so i dont remember all the details and it's mainly just a fun watch but here's what i do remember: Fear street cenetrs around two towns, Shadyside and (im gonna be honest i dont remember what the other town is called but we'll call it) Sunnyvale. Sunnyvale is this amazing upper-middle class town where nothing goes wrong and everyone is happy and has money. Shadyside,,,, fucking sucks! the school is falling apart and a bunch of murders happen ther. There's also a legend that the town was cursed by a witch, which is confounded by the serial killers that keep popping up in shady side.

enter main character. I forget her name so we'll just call her MC (main character) she lives in shadyside, is part of the highschool band, and is really pissed that her secret girlfriend just moved to sunnyvale. During the football game, which is the only time the respective highschools see eachother, she tries to talk to her secret (and now ex) girlfriend who is kind of dating the star football player of the sunnyvale highschool. I think he's also the police chief's son but that could just be me my memory making Bonus Connections. Anyway. Sunnyvale football star finds out about this, and in his car with his friends and girlfriend follow the shadyside bus back to their school. Except this really pisses off MC, who throws i think her instrument at the car, causing a crash. this gets her pinned as the next shadyside serial killer. Some uhh shit happens (i genuinely forget tbh) and it turns out her ex secret girlfriend is actually destined to be the next shadyside serial killer. I'm not joking, the corpses of the past serial killers have reanimated and they are chasing the ex secret gf, trying to like. put their ooze on her or whatever and turn her murderhappy. Because guess what bitches the witches curse is real!!!!

so MC, SXGF (secret ex gf) and three other friends (sorry theyre not actually important) go on a quest hunt to try and find a way to break the witch's curse, which involves them talking to the one person who was Targeted by a shadyside killer, but never killed. I forget her name aswell but we'll call her suzy, for her being a survivor. Anyway i wont get into her story too much bcz it's not too important other than this: we learn where the witch was hung and that she was not buried there. And also the reanimated corpse of that year's killer is out to get suzy every fucking night and it is Not Safe. We also learn that suzy had a bit of a romeo and juliet thing going on with the now police chief of Sunnyvale, and he temporarily joins the party to help our main cast find a way to break the witches curse. He has told us on numerous occasions that he wants to help shadyside get better, genuinely. He said.

anyway fucking flashback time it's pilgrim era and shadyside and sunnyvale are one singular settlement. There are time period appropriate versions of all the main cast and the witch is the time period accurate version of MC, still in love with SXGF who is the pastor's daughter. speaking of that, the pastor doesnt fucking like it!! So he frames PMC (pilgrim main character) as a witch, so she goes to her friend who i forgor who he's a version of but we'll call him AH (asshole, you'll see why) and he's like "no worries u can stay here forever look im even going to protect you with MAGIC" and pmc is like "you spoke to the fucking witch??" thats right there's a different witch dont worry she is only here to give this guy magic. so he's liek "yeah see we get protection and all i have to do is write down the name of soemone to sacrifice to demons in this secret bunker but don't worry we'll be safe" and PMC is like"Thats fucked up oh my god you wrote down my girlfriend's dad's name oh my god i need to save him" and it is the pastor who is the first shadyside killer BUT PMC got blamed for it and was hung. In present day there was a whole thing about reuniting the witch with her hand but that was a lie you actually have to destroy the demon summoning alter bcz they have to keep writing names and creating shadyside killers in order to keep the peace and can you fucking guess who's in charge of that right now.

that's right acab motherfuckers it's THE CHIEF OF POLICE!!! fuck that guy. they kill him (i think) and destroy the alter thingy

upon exiting the bunker via the police chief's house the main cast witness a car crash, signifying that the curse is broken and mc can be with her gf in peace and we cheer hip hip hooray there was a car crash :D
