#you know how I struggled with Aiden

Hi!
Just imagine the day Callan and Henry officially started dating, Henry comes home smiling like a fool, with a skip in his step, red in the face, and Aiden's like: Are ok? Do you have a fever? Get to bed right now!
Henry: Aiden, I do not have a fever
Aiden: Then why are you red like a rose?
Henry: Ammm... allergies?
Aiden: Bed! Now!
(I love Henry and Callan so much (both as individuals and as a couple)😭❤️)
-
Petition to give Aiden a notebook to keep track of all the crazy things that get revealed about his family:
Cameron opens his mouth
Aiden: Hold it! Who's he?
Cameron:...
Henry: ...My birth dad.
Aiden, scribbling: ...birth dad. Got it! Do we like him?
Henry: No
Aiden, scribbling: ...we don't like him. Ok! I'm done! WHAT THE ACTUAL-
-
When Aiden and Henry reunite
Aiden: Henry?
Henry: Yes, Aiden, it's me- WAIT! Sorry, wrong person! There's no way he grew taller than me!
Aiden: I'm even angrier now!
-
You know how baby Aiden used to pull on Henry's ears?
What if when they reunite Aiden sees his ears for (to his knowledge) the first time, and he tries to pull on them to see if they're real or something?XD
Also, guess who's noticed another writing problem with their mc again? :D
It's fine, I'm working on fixing it, I'm just not sure how to yet (good thing I found the problem, though! I'm happy about that)
It's that I was writing some pre story fluff thing and I realized that when she's not thinking about taking care of Ákos, or freaking out about something, Adél's pretty "no thoughts, head empty", which isn't good!
The reason I'm worried is because for the others these things came maybe a bit more naturally, and I'm afraid of how it'll turn out if i try to "force it" with Adél, but I'll figure it out! (Tell me, I got this, please, I'm scared) (sometimes I'm sitting here, like: should I just erase Adél and start from scratch, and that makes me really sad! Please tell me not to do that! Who will give Ákos magical hugs then?)
Sorry for the complaining, i hope you don't mind
Yes to all of these!
After the story is done, Aiden could probably write a whole family chronicle and it would most likely be titled like What the Fuck Fae - a story of wild shit I learned about my family in the past few weeks
Your problem with Adél is really valid, though if I’m being honest, it sounds to me like it is pretty much the same problem we talked about before: you haven’t figured out enough of Adél’s personality yet.
Which is completely fine and normal and not meant as criticism. I just think that this is the core issue that leads to the “no thoughts head empty-mc” problem.
When her main traits are worrying about everything and caring for Ákos and these main traits are as dominant as they are, then of course that’s what she will do all the time when you write her. That’s why she needs more traits.
I mean I don’t know if she has developed more since you asked me about writing her the first time, so I don’t want to make assumptions. But maybe you really should equip her personality a bit. I think that’s the first step to improve writing her and “giving her thoughts” (for the lack of better words).
Of course there’s characters that come more naturally. And then there’s ones that are a bit harder to figure out. Those need time and care and yes, sometimes a little bit of force. Otherwise you’ll get stuck. Remember, developing an mc is a progress! There’s no progress if you don’t try!
So just keep writing her! If it turns out sounding too forced or you won’t like what you came up with, you can always cross it out. And even that will take you a step further to figuring Adél out, because then you’ll know what you don’t want her to be like/to think about.
Don’t give up! I know you can figure it out! And please, don’t erase Adél. We love Adél! And she’s already a solid framework for a good character!
You just need some more practice and time with her! Sometimes you have to lock yourself in a room with your oc and try to get them to talk to you.

Queer Books Challenged in Florida Schools and Libraries
There are some affiliate links below in case you want to support MQH.
Gender Queer: A Memoir, Maia Kobabe: Now, Gender Queer is here. Maia's intensely cathartic autobiography charts eir journey of self-identity, which includes the mortification and confusion of adolescent crushes, grappling with how to come out to family and society, bonding with friends over erotic gay fanfiction, and facing the trauma and fundamental violation of pap smears.
The Color Purple, Alice Walker: Separated as girls, sisters Celie and Nettie sustain their loyalty to and hope in each other across time, distance and silence. Through a series of letters spanning nearly thirty years, first from Celie to God, then the sisters to each other despite the unknown, the novel draws readers into its rich and memorable portrayals of Celie, Nettie, Shug Avery and Sofia and their experience. The Color Purple broke the silence around domestic and sexual abuse, narrating the lives of women through their pain and struggle, companionship and growth, resilience and bravery.
Julián Is a Mermaid, Jessica Love: While riding the subway home from the pool with his abuela one day, Julián notices three women spectacularly dressed up. Their hair billows in brilliant hues, their dresses end in fishtails, and their joy fills the train car. When Julián gets home, daydreaming of the magic he's seen, all he can think about is dressing up just like the ladies in his own fabulous mermaid costume: a butter-yellow curtain for his tail, the fronds of a potted fern for his headdress. But what will Abuela think about the mess he makes -- and even more importantly, what will she think about how Julián sees himself? Mesmerizing and full of heart, Jessica Love's author-illustrator debut is a jubilant picture of self-love and a radiant celebration of individuality.
Drama: A Graphic Novel, Raina Telgemeier: Callie loves theater. And while she would totally try out for her middle school's production of Moon over Mississippi, she can't really sing. Instead she's the set designer for the drama department's stage crew, and this year she's determined to create a set worthy of Broadway on a middle-school budget. But how can she, when she doesn't know much about carpentry, ticket sales are down, and the crew members are having trouble working together? Not to mention the onstage AND offstage drama that occurs once the actors are chosen. And when two cute brothers enter the picture, things get even crazier!
Cemetery Boys, Aiden Thomas: Yadriel has summoned a ghost, and now he can't get rid of him. When his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting his true gender, Yadriel becomes determined to prove himself a real brujo. With the help of his cousin and best friend Maritza, he performs the ritual himself, and then sets out to find the ghost of his murdered cousin and set it free. However, the ghost he summons is actually Julian Diaz, the school's resident bad boy, and Julian is not about to go quietly into death. He's determined to find out what happened and tie off some loose ends before he leaves. Left with no choice, Yadriel agrees to help Julian, so that they can both get what they want. But the longer Yadriel spends with Julian, the less he wants to let him leave.
I Am Billie Jean King, Brad Meltzer: This friendly, fun biography series focuses on the traits that made our heroes great--the traits that kids can aspire to in order to live heroically themselves. Each book tells the story of one of America's icons in a lively, conversational way that works well for the youngest nonfiction readers and that always includes the hero's childhood influences. At the back are an excellent timeline and photos. This volume features Billie Jean King, the world champion tennis player who fought successfully for women's rights. From a young age, Billie Jean King loved sports--especially tennis! But as she got older, she realized that plenty of people, even respected male athletes, didn't take women athletes seriously. She set to prove them wrong and show girls everywhere that sports are for everyone, regardless of gender.
This One Summer, Mariko Tamaki: Every summer, Rose goes with her mom and dad to a lake house in Awago Beach. It's their getaway, their refuge. Rosie's friend Windy is always there, too, like the little sister she never had. But this summer is different. Rose's mom and dad won't stop fighting, and when Rose and Windy seek a distraction from the drama, they find themselves with a whole new set of problems. One of the local teens - just a couple of years older than Rose and Windy - is caught up in something bad... Something life threatening. It's a summer of secrets, and sorrow, and growing up, and it's a good thing Rose and Windy have each other.
Marriage of a Thousand Lies, Sj Sindu: Lucky and her husband, Krishna, are gay. They present an illusion of marital bliss to their conservative Sri Lankan-American families, while each dates on the side. It's not ideal, but for Lucky, it seems to be working. She goes out dancing, she drinks a bit, she makes ends meet by doing digital art on commission. But when Lucky's grandmother has a nasty fall, Lucky returns to her childhood home and unexpectedly reconnects with her former best friend and first lover, Nisha, who is preparing for her own arranged wedding with a man she's never met.
And Tango Makes Three, Peter Parnell: At the penguin house at the Central Park Zoo, two penguins named Roy and Silo were a little bit different from the others. But their desire for a family was the same. And with the help of a kindly zookeeper, Roy and Silo got the chance to welcome a baby penguin of their very own.
More Happy Than Not, Adam Silvera: In the months following his father's suicide, sixteen-year-old Aaron Soto can't seem to find happiness again, despite the support of his girlfriend, Genevieve, and his overworked mom. Grief and the smile-shaped scar on his wrist won't let him forget the pain. But when Aaron meets Thomas, a new kid in the neighborhood, something starts to shift inside him. Aaron can't deny his unexpected feelings for Thomas despite the tensions their friendship has created with Genevieve and his tight-knit crew. Since Aaron can't stay away from Thomas or turn off his newfound happiness, he considers taking drastic actions. The Leteo Institute's revolutionary memory-altering procedure will straighten him out, even if it means forgetting who he truly is.
Melissa, Alex Gino: When people look at Melissa, they think they see a boy named George. But she knows she's not a boy. She knows she's a girl.
Melissa thinks she'll have to keep this a secret forever. Then her teacher announces that their class play is going to be Charlotte's Web. Melissa really, really, REALLY wants to play Charlotte. But the teacher says she can't even try out for the part... because she's a boy.

hi! if you’d like could you do some tyler and aiden hcs (separate) with a soulmate who is really good at being the group’s personal doctor? ik ben kind of us but maybe the reader grew up with doctor parents and actually knows what to do? thank youuuu <3
Aiden Clark and Tyler Hernandez with a personal doctor S/O
Aiden Clark
Aiden is in desperate need of a doctor literally every day
He does risky shit on the daily. Even before getting stuck in the phantom dimension.
He does a lot of skateboard tricks, climbing on things, and stuff im not even gonna get into
And when he needs patching up, Ben's always there
But when Ben isn't there, you are
His sweet partner. his personal medic. the person who would bonk him over the head if they wouldn't have to heal him after
You and Ben get along because of having to babysit Aiden. When he tries fighting the phantoms "for the lols", you and Ben are the first to grab his shirt collar, and stop him
Still, though, he gets hurt a lot more than the average teen
Every day at school, he shows up with a new scratch or bruise and his reason is always so different
"Oh, a dog tried biting my balls off :)"
"I tried climbing a tree and somehow hit my head :)"
"TYLER THREW A FUCKING TABLE AT ME"
It gets so common to the point where you celebrate the days he doesn't get hurt
He'll run up to you full of energy in the mornings with Ben following behind him
"(NAME)! I DIDNT GET MY BALLS BITTEN OFF TODAY!"
He turns his head, waiting for a kiss on the cheek
And how can you refuse when he's so excited?
If you want to become a doctor in the future, he offers to help pay for the resources you'll need
Overall, 10/10 boyfriend, 1/10 patient. You're running out of bandaids
Tyler Hernandez
Much like Aiden, Tyler tends to get hurt a bit more than average teens
From the baseball practice, phantoms, trees, and fights, it's safe to say he's got a lot of bruises (and not as many organs, anymore)
I think Tyler was the personal nurse in his childhood. With Taylor not knowing what to do, and his mom caught up on his dads death, Tyler was the one who took charge
So when you come along, all sweet and helpful, he doesn't know what to think
He doesn't know if he should let you care for him or care for you
Eventually, he decides to just do both. Caring for you and letting you care for him
If you want to become a doctor, he's all for it
Even if you have to move really, really far away
He can't help you pay for it, seeing as he's struggling with his own future, but he'll support you however he can
Most of the time, he's hurt because of fights
So naturally, you ban fighting
Even then, though, he'll be all like
"(Name)! Aiden's being a dumbass again, can I hit him?"
Anyway, 10/10 boyfriend. 5/10 patient. He doesn't use as many bandaids

can I request the sbg crew with a big brother figure who's like a year or two older then them?
Have a great day 💖
Father Hen
Gender: Male
Genre: Fluff with angst
Summary: a daily life with m/n who has to take care of his juniors!
Additional details: M/n has a license and rides a motor.
Warnings: Character death(the reader),swearing, also not really character death he “dies” in phantom world
A/n: I hope i made it to your liking (TvT)
—————————————
The first time the crew met m/n was when he volunteered to keep in watch of a group during their trip in savannah. He heard that they’ll give extracurricular points to whoever volunteers, he didn’t hesitate volunteering. And so he introduced himself to them.
It would be a lie if he said he didn’t have a fun time. They went to all kind of attractions and tried some local foods, he insisted on paying the food despite being almost broke. Though sometimes he had to deal with Aiden wandering around unconsciously. He had to keep him on guard because he might get lost. Another is that Tyler and Aiden keeps bickering with eachother.
Now to the sorrel weed house, he noticed how off Ashlyn acted. Constantly covering her ears and she looked tense. Out of instincts he went and asked her if she’s alright, she was about to reply when she looked horrified while looking behind him. He looked back and immediately looked away, wtf was that thing?!
Ashlyn seemed shock when she noticed he can also see it. He was about to question her when Logan looked scared and told us to look from behind. He did and boy..when I tell you that thing’s mouth stink as hell. Once it moved he quickly pushed Ashlyn behind me before it felt like the world shifted and it disappeared. He didn’t notice the throbbing pain in his arm and worried about Ashlyn more. After that they left the house and went to the motel they were assigned to go after.
He thought he was just hallucinating until I woke up to screaming from the girl’s ran and quickly ran over there. That thing was back and it tried to attack them. They formed a plan before quickly distracting the monster so that the others can escape in time to the next room. The monster was catching up to him before Ashlyn told him to move away and shoved the cart to it, Aiden being the maniac he is picked a spray bottle before spraying it.
That kid was playing with death because he suggested that they can probably fight them all. The whole situation was a mess and stressful, Tyler had an outburst after because Ashlyn didn’t tell the others about it. His hand was throbbing in pain from before but thankfully Ben knew how to patch people up because of Aiden, not much of a surprise..
Ashlyn suggested that they should take turns on keeping the place guarded, m/n being the responsible person he is suggested he should go first so that they can sleep. He was a bit surprised when everyone gathered around him and slept beside or on him. Said that they can sleep better knowing someone can protect them.
When he woke up he expected to wake up with everyone surrounding him but he was on the bed in the motel, in his room with Logan,Tyler, and Ben. Immediately he felt dizzy and vomited in the bathroom, not good..
He lied to the teachers that it was probably something they ate yesterday and went back home. He thought it was just gonna be a one time thing until it happened again but he woke up in his bed. After that he confronted the group about it and got added into a gc so that they could communicate better.
Slowly he started hanging out with them more, often at lunch or study sessions with them. Considering he’s in a higher grade he won’t be in the same classes with them but him and the others make an effort to meet up. As harsh to admit but the group was much more fun to hang out instead of the group with kids in his age. And although he felt like a mother Hen taking care of it’s chicks. He enjoyed their company nonetheless.
The group warmed up to him and often call him “brother/big bro” as a joke since he’s older. They would often go to him to either hang out, annoy him,or rant to him about their problems. Even though he’s older, they get protective tendencies with him. So does he, mess with him then you mess with the group as well. One time when he found out Logan was getting bullied by Barron, he got suspended because he decided to beat the shit out of Barron. The group visited him at his house to hang out with him.
He love those idiots and they love him. He’d do anything to protect them, heck even if he risks his life. They matter to him more than anything, and he can’t fathom what would happen if they get hurt. But…it’s also a problem for him.
‘Fuck it’s catching up, at this point it will get us..!’ He thought while riding his motorcycle, he watched the jeep infront of him trying to lose the centipede phantom. He looked to his right and noticed deserted field with large rocks ‘That’s it!’
He quickly sped his motor up and caught up with the others before driving beside Ashlyn who looked scared and worried “Ashlyn i need you to keep moving forward, don’t look back!”
Ashlyn looked at him with confused and worried eyes “What? Why-what about you?!”
“Just keep going, I’ll catch up!” He slowed his motor and went to the deserted filled before trying to catch the phantom’s attention using his motor “HEYYYY, OVER HERE!!! RIGHT HERE, COME AND GET ME FAT ASS UGLY SHIT!!!”
The others looked at m/n with worry in their eyes, Taylor tried to persuade Ashlyn to go back for him and convince him to with them instead. Ashlyn stayed quiet, not bothering to wipe her tears as she watch m/n basically doing some that is considered suicide. Tyler and Ben had to hold Taylor so that she won’t try and get out of the moving vehicle. Ashlyn watch from the back view mirror as m/n hurriedly drives away with the centipede running after him. Logan watched with horror in his eyes as he watch a friend he considers as a brother, deal with a phantom centipede on his own with a high possibility that he’ll die.
“M/N, M/N PLEASE RESPOND TO US!!!” Taylor shouted, currently the others were in the deserted filled looking for m/n. Aiden looked at Ashlyn who looked worried and guilty, guilty because she abandoned m/n despite yelling her to never look back.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s fine.” Aiden tried to comfort her until he heard Taylor let out a worried call for m/n and running to a direction. The others watch in horror by the scene, m/n covered by rocks probably because of the phantom. His head was bleeding, he was bleeding everywhere. His eyes looked lifeless, body was limp with no sign of movement at all. The others snapped back to reality before helping Taylor move the rocks from m/n. Ben hurriedly tried and patch up m/n before he could lose any more blood. He checked for a pulse, it was faint but still there they still had a ch-
Seven hours was up and everyone hurried looked at m/n whose eyes were wide, iris was block and his body was shaking and trembling like he was having a seizure. They quickly informed their parents and took him to the hospital where they treated him.
A few hours went by and the others were worried, Ashlyn had explained the situation to his dad and the other parents. The other parents had a hard time believing but due to how serious and angry Tyler & Taylor looked like when they yelled at them, they decided to believe them. They were discussing what they should do to help them until they heard nurses scurrying into the lobby.
“I need to and find-guys!” M/n yelled at the group, Taylor being the first one to stand up and tackled him into a hug. The others following suit, Taylor cried the most. Ashlyn cried too which was surprising but m/n quickly comforted her. He stood up and noticed that m/n’s parents was there looking-well..glaring at him.
He walked towards them before looking at the ground in shame, he was about to apologize until his father engulfed him in a hug “You should’ve told us..we would never judge you.”
His mother following suit “Oh my sweet boy, you must’ve been so scared and afraid..”
He sniffled before breaking down, allowing him to release all the pressure and stress he’s been holding up throughout the situation. All they had to do now was deal with the phantoms..

seductions—chapter one
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gf! sam monroe x fem!reader
tws/cws: mentions of murder, angsty, mentions of ED and self harm, vomiting, manipulation, swearing, y/n isnt used i think, petnames, kinda sexual at the end, non-con kinda but not really
summary: When you find out one of your best friends was murdered by the neighborhood serial killer, you head to school sad. Struggling to stay sane, you end up experiencing something unexpected.
Tumblr media
You sob into your pillow as you read the local newspaper, reading; WEDNESDAY 5/07/03: WESTON HIGH SCHOOL TEEN NAMED MARY LOUISE FOUND DEAD AT 17, KILLED IN HER OWN HOME AFTER A MYSTERIOUS PHONE CALL.
it showed a picture of her, making everything 10x worse. she was your best friend, and there she was, dead and buried. you continued to sob into your pillow when you realized you had to get to school. how would you be able to survive after this? you sniffle a few times and put on a pink cardigan with a mini skirt, thigh highs and some cute sneakers. Sadly, you put on your backpack (which was baby pink, obviously) and head out the door without eating.
once you arrive to school, you don’t put any effort into talking to anyone, and you make your way to the auditorium, where a assembly will be taken place on..recent events. you sit down at a empty area when after a few minutes, someone taps your shoulder from the seat behind you. you turn around and see Sam, one of your closest friends.
“are you okay, angel? you ignored me when i tried to come up to you earlier.” he says sadly, giving you a soft pout of disappointment. You shrug, visibly less energetic then usual. “m’ fine, sam. it’s just..” you start, tears threatening to leave your eyes, “you know.” you say, looking away from him. sam sighs and climbs over and sits in the seat next to you, ignoring that he just accidentally kicked someone in the leg. “listen, angel.” sam coos, grasping his hand at your chin and turns your head to look at him directly, “I’m sorry about what happened to mary, but..eveything happens for a reason, right?” he says, trying to comfort you, but ending up sounding slightly sadistic.
you squint your eyes at him, about to speak when the principal talks into the microphone at the auditorium stage, peaking you and sam’s attention. “Good morning, everyone.” he starts, his voice echoing through the room. “i would just like to take a moment and..talk about recent events.” he says. you already know he’ll be talking about mary, corey, and some of the other students who have been lost. you don’t want to hear about it anymore, it just adds on to the indescribable feeling in your chest.
Sam somehow senses you discomfort, and reaches over to hold your hand, carressing your palm with his thumb. you blush slightly. “Mary was a great friend to all of you.” the principal says solemnly, “she will not be forgotten.” behind you, you hear two of the jocks, logan and aiden, snickering. you turn your head around and glare at them, and sam does the same. something about sam’s stare at them was..unsettling. the two jocks immediately stopped laughing, sam’s unsettling stare scaring the shit out of them, to say the least.
sam will definitely be remembering them, for later.
The principal continues talking about mary, and then sam leans over to whisper to you, “i’ll be right back, sunshine. stay here f’ me.” you nod in response and watch as he walks out of the auditorium. assuming he’s just going to the bathroom, you continue listening to the principals speech about mary and corey. the more he talks, the more sad you get, and the more angry you get at the person who killed them so brutally. After a while, you notice that sam is still gone. a pit in your stomach starts to form, as you start to get extremely anxious. Carefully, you stand up and walk out of the auditorium. you make your way to the girls bathroom. You walk into a stall and lock the door. Suddenly, a wave of nausea waves over you. “when was the last time i ate?” you think to yourself. your thoughts are cut short when you suddenly bend over the toilet and vomit, you really should’ve ate breakfast. after a couple minutes of..intense sickness, you flush the toilet and walk out of the stall. You try not to cry as you walk to the sink, and wash your hands and wash your face, hoping to make yourself feel better. as you raise your head, you see something in the mirror behind you.
a hooded figure in a mask.
you ignore it at first, thinking you might be hallucinating from all of the pills you’ve been taking. But that’s when you hear a metal sound from behind you. You turn around instantly, water still dripping from your face and hands.
He…or she..or they, wave at you, knife in hand. you instinctively run towards the door and try to open it.
of course it’s fucking closed.
“fuck.” you say under your breath and turn back around, and the masked figure..doesn’t run towards you? he walks closer to you as you stand there, paralyzed in fear. before you know it, he pins you against the cold wall of the bathroom, and whispers in your ear, “stay quiet or you’ll end up like your good friend mary.” you gasp, trying to recognize his voice, but his voice is awfully distorted. fuck, is he using a voice changer?
you nod. he runs his gloved hand down your body until he reaches underneath your skirt. You feel your underwear dampen, and you curse yourself silently for that. the masked stranger cups your core through your panties, eliciting a soft whimper from your throat. He pulls his hand away, a smirk underneath his mask that you wish you could see are glad you can’t see. he walks out of the bathroom after that, leaving you confused and still aroused.
did the neighborhood serial killer just touch my pussy?you think to yourself and let out a slight cackle, even though it’s not that funny. unable to leave your position, you stand there, wondering what to do. you’re definitely traumatized for sure—but at least it felt good. after what seemed like forever, you walk back to the auditorium and sit down next to sam and let out a sigh. at least he’s okay.
“hey, what took you so long?” sam smirks and nudges you playfully. you shrug, “i felt sick, it’s nothing really.”
“Good thing you’re still alive, i was worried that someone snuck in there.” he jokes, although his tone is a bit sinister. you laugh it off nervously, and listen to the principals incredibly long speech for the next hour.
in that hour, you find yourself thinking about what happened, something inside of you wishing the masked stranger did more with you. You brushed off the thought, sighing to yourself.
maybe someday you’ll lose your virginity, and today was almost the day.

Aiden always dealt with hallucinations atleast twice a month because of his lack of sleep. His parents did get him some medicine to help him sleep, he never took them. He hated how the medication made him feel, so he avoided it like the plauge. This was his fifth all nighter he was pulling because of his insomnia. Trudging down to the kitchen, he prepared to make himself a snack. He wasn't to sure if he was gonna cook, bake or just grab something random. Searching through the fridge, trying to find something easy to make without making much noise. Ben had always been a light sleeper, and Aiden always managed to wake Ben up, who always came downstairs and forced Aiden to try and go to bed.
He found some fries that he could easily cook. Turning around satisfied with his search, he saw the eyes and a smile that he could recognise from anywhere.
A phantom
A panicked scream tore through his throat, as he threw the packet of fries at the monster in the corner. He used his hands to push himself away from the monster, who started to make it's way closer to him. His back hit the wall, he had no where else to go and the phantom was closing the space between them.
Footsteps came from upstairs, he couldn't breathe. Why was this happening? Phantoms shouldn't be here, why was it here. Swiftly, he reached for a kitchen knife and pointed towards the threat. He tried to ignore how much his hands were shaking, he saw a shadow in the corner of his eye. Oh God is there more of them? How the hell did it even get in the house, Ben normally locks the door and- Wait Ben. Oh no, Ben what's Ben gonna do when he finds out there's phantoms in the house. Should he shout for him? As much as he wanted to shout he couldn't manage to squeeze anything out, his throat felt constricted as he took in quick small breathes. The phantom just kept on approaching him, clearly ignoring the knife pointing towards it. Why? Why did it have to keep on getting closer? Why is this the way he's gonna die?
A light turned onAnd just like that the phantom disappeared. Like it never existed. He was still shaking and breathing heavily, he knows that he should put down the knife but it just stayed in place threatening the air. What was happening, is it safe now?
A hand took the knife from his hand, eyes still locked on the vacant space where the phantom use to be standing. Normally, when the hands tool away his only weapon he would've atleast flinched away, but he couldn't he was still struggling to calm down and in shock from that mysterious phantom. Ben's face came into frame, his eyes wide in shock. Did Ben see the phantom as well? Is that why he's so freaked out. "Ben." He managed to heave out, still struggling to catch his breathe "Did you see where the phantom went?" The only answer Aiden was given was a concerned and confused look. 'What happened?' Ben signed to him.
Now it was Aiden's turn to be confused. What did he mean. "The phantom." He clarified once again all he got in response was Ben's confused face getting increasingly more worried as the conversation continued. "You know the phantom that was stood over there and coming towards me." He motioned over to the space where he last saw the phantom. "You couldn't miss it." He stressed, what if Ben thought he was going insane. What if he was going insane. What would the others think if he did finally lose it, would they be sad, disappointed, concerned maybe they wouldn't be surprised at all.
'When was the last time you slept?' Ben asked, Aiden failed to understand why that was relevant to anything. "Um, like on Monday." He watched as Ben practically sagged in relief at that statement. Why is he so calm about this? There's a phantom in their house. 'Aiden, I think that it was just a hallucination' Ben explained 'There is no phantom, your safe.' A hallucination, huh. Uncertainty still plauged his mind, but he trusts his cousin and didn't resist when his cousin led him to their living room.
Ben handed him the remote as he left the room. He started flickering through movies on Netflix before finally settling on Tangled. Once, Ben returned he placed a blanket over Aiden as he settled beside him on the couch. Aiden subconsciously began to lean on Ben. His body felt like it had bricks tied to it, the events of the night left him exhausted. After a while, the movie became white noise in his ears and Aiden felt himself drift off to sleep. He is safe here with Ben. He is safe.

Ranting about Ashlyn and Aiden ( concerning Red story)
( this is spoiler free, I will only discuss things that happened until ep 72)
Edit : This was sitting in my draft for so long omg
( One of those rant is inspired by a convo I had with Moon)
(edit: I've just realized while editing this that your surname is biin and not moon I apologize)
SO, sure there's an sbg hiatus, but that doesn't stop me from nourishing myself with any content there is 🫡
What content do we have here?
Tumblr media
I've thought about that so many times while reading fanfics about sbg, especially because there's a lot of alternative universes fanfics and I would ask myself "would they even be friends without those events?"
And now we have our answer; no.
But what's interesting then is that Ashlyn would only get close with Aiden in universes where an event would force a proximity. More defined by an event where they would be forced to interact and understand each other to survive the event, without this event, their relationship wouldn't exist. Which is understandable since as shown in the webtoon, before the dimension; she avoids him, she distanced herself, and she would have continued to do that.
But most of all, I want to talk about the last sentence. ( I'm extremely bad with context clues so I'm not sure if the last sentence "they've grown closer and find comfort in understanding one another" is about the whole group or just Ash and Aiden, but let's act as if it was about Ash and Aiden).
Them both being neurodivergent ( Canon-wise, Ash is autistic and Aiden has ADHD) adds a lot to their understanding of each other and how they can find comfort in being together ( platonic or romantic).
I'm going to use one of some scenes to explain my thesis
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favorite, scene, of all time. I love everything about that I'm going to explode.
Okay anyway, here we can see that Aiden noticed Ashlyn depressed state fastly, without even needing words, he knows about her boundaries so he just caress their knuckles together ( that sounds so medical) as a way to comfort her without making her uncomfortable. He understands her needs and boundaries and wants to still be able to be there for her and make her feel better in his own way so he does it in the most thoughtful way
Tumblr media
The way he's shocked at the contact and can't handle seeing her cry omg :( the way he wraps his hand around her in a comforting manner, like he just knows what to do when it's needed, without overstepping her boundaries in any way.
And now later on,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aiden was the first one to see that ash felt distressed about driving again, ( due to her feeling guilty when Tyler fell and that she wasn't able to go back). He proposes to drive even tho has zero experience in driving ( he probably wanted to try for some thrills too) but also because he understood how uneasy it was for her, same as when they were in the hospital.
And now for the main scene that inspired me to write this
Tumblr media
He's staying beside her when he's running and immediately grabs her arm when she stumbles because of the sudden loud noises. He sat beside her and put his hands on the headphones to help her muffle the sounds even more. That's such a genuinely adorable way of showing that you care by doing an act of service, but also them being both written as neurodivergent makes me think that they understand each other in a relatable way, in a "helping one another accommodate to their struggles" kinda way. The same way as Ash is said to be unconsciously more protective of Aiden because he's more hyperactive and takes more risks.
Everything about this rant can be taken as both platonic or romantic, as I tried to stay on red's words to describe their dynamic. ( Did I already say that? I get distracted easily)
I've finished my little rant, thanks for reading

Tumblr media
Starring Suguru Geto, in a slightly softer world.
Tumblr media
Have you ever heard of the multiverse theory? It gets switched around and misinterpreted a lot, but the basic premise of it is that for every possible outcome, there is a universe that follows it. So, for example, if you're on a walk one morning, and come across a fork in the road, you may choose the left path. When you do this, another universe is created in which you choose the right path, and yet another still where you didn't go on any walk at all.
As such, this implies that there are some fundamental truths across all universes. Every universe you encounter will have stars in the sky, and a force of gravity will keep everyone down. You won't find a universe where atoms aren't the building blocks of life. You won't find a universe that doesn't have a sun in its center. And you won't find a universe where Suguru Geto is a morning person.
He all but yells into his pillow as his alarm sounds off at 5:45 AM. He considers violence, a possible war crime against his phone for committing the egregious sin of waking him up before the sun is even up. He considers aggressively turning the alarm off and going back to sleep, letting the world continue on without him as he becomes one with his comforter.
And in the end he does none of it. He turns his alarm off like a normal person, and forces himself out of bed at the truly ungodly hour of 5:45 AM. Why you ask? Because class starts at 7 AM, and the kids he teaches are relying on him to show up and be a model jujutsu sorcerer, just like they are for all of the other teachers at Jujutsu High. And just as it is a fundamental truth that Suguru Geto is not a morning person, it's a fundamental truth that he would do absolutely anything for those he loves. And Suguru loves all of those kids, even if they can get a little annoying at times.
He’s falling asleep while brushing his teeth when he gets his first text of the day from you. A short and sweet “Good morning sweetie 💜” to give him the motivation to push through his morning routine.
He sends “Good morning to you too Darling 🖤” to you while smiling, finishing up brushing his teeth before mentally preparing himself for the arctic plunge of a shower he’s about to take to finish waking himself up.
Once he’s dressed and as awake as he’s going to be at 6:00 AM, he goes to check on Nanako and Mimiko out of habit. Of course, he finds their shared room empty, considering they moved into the dorms a week ago when school started.
“Right.” He grumbled to himself, shaking his head. At this point, it feels like he’ll never get used to them not being around. He wondered how Satoru adapted so quickly when Megumi moved into the dorms. Then again, Satoru seemed to be made for adaptation, meanwhile, Suguru had always struggled more with change.
Before he could get too lost in his thoughts, A car horn blared through the quiet suburb. “What is he-?!” Suguru snapped at the air before rushing outside and into his friends car.
“What the hell are you doing Satoru?!” He asked, suddenly very awake.
“Letting you know I’m here.” Gojo smiled as he pulled out of Sugurus drive way and onto the road.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but could you not have just texted me?” Suguru grumbled, “You’re going to wake up the entire neighborhood!”
“My phones dead.” Satoru shrugged. He had a habit of passing out while scrolling tik tok and forgetting to put his phone on the charger.
“And I suppose knocking on my door was out of the question?” Suguru asked. Gojo clearly did not see the issue with violating air pollution laws, and it was starting to irk him.
“In the rain? No way dude!” He laughed. It was at this point Geto looked out the window. Well shit, it was raining. He was so focused on just getting to the car he managed to miss it.
“It’s like, barely raining.” He argued with his friend. The white haired main beside him just shrugged.
“Hey man, you’re lucky I give you a ride at all,” Gojo reminded him, “I could just teleport to school.” Suguru would have tried to argue with that, but he knew better than to enter an argument on the losing side. He just sighed and shook his head.
“Whatever man….thanks for the ride.” He added at the end.
“You’re welcome!” Gojo smiled. Suguru sighed as he got comfortable in the seat, leaning against the window. The main reason he got rides from Gojo was so he could take a nap on the way to the school. It was a long drive, and the thirty minutes he spent passed out in Gojos car went a long way to making him not an asshole to his class in the morning. It felt like his eyes had been closed for all of two seconds before Satrou was waking him up, letting him know they had made it to their destination.
“Good morning Geto, good morning Gojo!” You greeted the men as they joined you in the teachers lounge. Suguru smiled warmly when he saw your face, familiar and bright, even at 6:30 in the morning.
“Good morning L/n.” Geto yawned as he rushed to the coffee pot in the room, still half full.
“Morning L/n!” Satoru beamed as he sat next to you. Normally, the three of you were on a first name basis, but a professional setting calls for professional dialect. “So, you two do anything fun on your weekend?” Gojo asked. Geto looked at you from the corner of his eyes, seeing how you handled this situation. You would have stolen a glance at him, but Gojo would have definitely noticed that.
“Eh, not much really,” You shrugged, “I went and visited my parents, and mostly just tried to catch up on reading.” That was definitely, 100% not what you were doing this weekend. In actuality, you had spent the entire weekend with Suguru. The two of you had seen a movie, checked out his favorite soba shop, and spent the vast majority of the time cuddled in his bed watching horror movies to get ready for ‘spooky season’ despite the fact in was, indeed, April.
But you couldn’t say any of that to Gojo. You and Suguru were co-workers, your romantic relationship wasn’t just discouraged and taboo- the employee handbook strictly forbid it. As much as the two of you wanted to tell your shared best friend about the beautiful relationship you’d found, you couldn’t. Mostly cause Satoru couldn’t keep a secret to save his ass.
“Cool! What about you Suguru?” Gojo smiled as he looked to his best friend, deciding for now that professional language was for the birds.
“Eh, I mostly stayed in. I re-watched the scream movies.” He shrugged as he drank his black coffee.
“Isn’t it kinda early to be watching horror movies? Or, I guess late?” Gojo asked.
“It is never too early for spooky movies.” You said, jumping to Getos defense maayybe just a little too quickly. Gojo raised his eyebrows at you.
“So I see were feeling a little defensive.” He pointed out.
“Not defensive, I’m just saying. It’s always horror movie time if you’re not a coward.”
“Hey, I-”
“Uhh, Sensei?” Itadori asked as he popped his head into the door. Immediately all attention went to him, and silently, you thanked the pink haired boy for saving your ass.
“Hey Itadori! What’s up?” Gojo asked, all smiles for his student.
“I could really use your help with the algebra assignment from last night,” Itadori explained, “I don’t think I really grasp…well numbers.” He explained. Gojo chuckled and shook his head, but didn’t argue cause he, like Geto, knew better than to argue with the truth.
“Yeah Kid, no problem. Let’s go to the classroom.” Satoru said, getting up and letting Itadori lead the way. There was a heavy silence that filled the room after, both of you listing to Satoru’s footsteps until they vanished. Once they were gone, you both let out a deep breath.
“Well that could have gone worse.” Suguru chuckled softly.
“Yeah, that was my bad,” You sighed, “I swear, he looks into the littlest of things.”
“That’s Satoru.” Suguru confirmed with a nod, “Always suspicious of something. Somethings never change.” He shrugged. You looked around, making sure the coast we clear before standing up to give Suguru a quick hug.
“Ain’t that the truth.” You chuckled. Suguru smiled as he held you close, his mind wondering off to the other things that never seemed to change. The school, sorcerer society as a whole, the way he felt for you- even all the way back in high school. He had a crush on you even before you saved him, and it only intensified after.
Of course, as far as you’re concerned you didn’t save anyone that day in the graveyard. You just talked some sense into an old friend. You would never know just how close to the edge Suguru was that day. How could you? All you knew was that his faith was shaken, and he needed some reassurance.
He could still go back to that afternoon in his mind like replaying a movie. He could still see the gray skies of fall, heavy with dark clouds. He could still smell the rain water and grave dirt hanging in the air. And could still sense the confusion he felt when you brought him to your best friends grave. He had never met the girl, she had died to a curse long before you enrolled in Jujutsu High. So why were you bringing him here now?
“This is where my friend lies,” You explained to him what he already knew. “It’s been a few years now, but I still think of her every day.”
“I’m sorry for your loss Y/n.” He said the only think he knew to say.
“Suguru, why are you a Jujutsu Sorcerer?” You asked, suddenly looking at him with overly intense eyes that made him feel so small. Why did he was he a Jujutsu Sorcerer? He didn’t fucking know! Especially not anymore. He used to know. But, he lost that direction. After Riko died. After Haibara died. He didn’t know what the point to any of this was anymore.
“Why are you a Jujutsu Sorcerer?” He asked back, not so smoothly dodging the question. You just pointed at the grave.
“For her. And for you, and for Riko and Haibara. For everyone I have loved and will love, I do it to protect them.” You explained it as if it was just that easy. And maybe it was. For you.
“How are we protecting them exactly?” He asked, eyes narrowing in suspicion, “Please, tell me just how exactly we protected Riko and Haibara?” He questioned.
“We protect them in death.” You shrugged, “Honor what they would have wanted. Do you really think Riko would want you to waste the life she so desperately wanted because of her death? Do you think Haibara would have wanted you to throw away all of your potential because some higher ups fucked him over? Or do you think they would want you to live your life to the fullest, and work hard to see that potential fulfilled?”
“I think they would want us to fight for a fundamental change in the system. For a world without curses.”
“Suguru, you and I both know that’s not possible.”
“But it is,” He argued, saying things out loud he had only thought up until now, “Humans are the only ones to produce curses, you know.”
“So what? You’re just going to kill all humans?” You scoffed at the absurdity of the idea, and he genuinely felt a little embarrassed. “What would that fix?”
“Well, there would be no curses, for one.” He pointed out.
“And what would that achieve?”
“We wouldn’t have to watch our friends and family die at the hands of disgusting curses!” He argued, frustrated that you couldn’t see his vision.
“No, we would just have to watch them die at the hands of other sorcerers, right?” You pointed out. “A world without curses doesn’t fix the cruelty that created them. Curses aren’t what killed Riko, and removing them won’t bring back Haibara.”
“No, Humans killed Riko.” He could still hear that god forsaken cult, clapping away as if a little girl hadn’t just been slaughtered. No, worse. Clapping away because a little girl had just been slaughtered. It was all he could hear late at night. You sighed and nodded.
“That's true. She was killed by a human, who was raised by sorcerers.”
“So are you trying to argue that actually sorcerers are the root of all evil?”
“No Suguru, I’m trying to argue that there is no “Root of all evil.” That it’s all just beings that exist. There are bad humans, of course. Just like how there are bad sorcerers. Everything that exists exists with some good and some bad. You can’t just fix the world with one final, fucked up solution.”
“I just don’t see the point in trying to save people who historically treat us like were fucking disposable!” Suguru snapped, hating that it was starting to seem really hopeless. Were you right? Was there really nothing he could do?
“Sugu, I think you’re getting caught in the details. You’re not seeing the forest for the trees.” You sighed. “ Yes, the Star Cult was full of the most fowl people. And yeah, a lot of humans do treat us like shit. But there are just as many humans who are kind to us. Humans who see their children's cursed techniques as blessings, not curses. Humans willing to die if it means being there for the sorcerers they love and standing by them. Humans like your parents, and my best friend. Humans that are worth protecting.”
“So we have to protect them all just because a few are good?”
“Would you protect a bad person to save me?” You asked. He hadn’t really thought of it like that. It was a moral question he wasn’t ready for, and struggled to find an answer to.
“I mean, I guess I would.” He finally said.
“Exactly. That’s kinda the point of Jujutsu Sorcery for me. It’s not to protect the world- that’s too monumental of a task even for Satoru Gojo. It’s to protect the ones I love and care for.”
“And what about when we can’t protect them?” He could feel the tears prickle as his eyes now, a stinging that demanded attention. He rubbed his eyes in a futile attempt to make it go away.
“Then I live to honor them, in a way I think would make them proud. I understand where you’re coming from. Heartache is a hell of a thing to battle, and witnessing a young death changes a person. But, continuing to perpetuate that hurt, won’t make it go away. Especially when it comes to such grandiose ideas like “kill all humans!” it doesn’t fix anything. It just hurts the people around you, both with us and departed. I mean, is slaughtering a billion strangers really worth ruining the people closest to you? The ones who love you? Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru.”
He didn’t know what to say. But that line rang in his ears. Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru. It drowned out the clapping in his mind. Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru. It played louder than Yuki telling him that humans were the only ones to create curses, and that he knew what he believed. Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru. And it was what was playing in his ears as he stared at two kids in a cage. Scared, alone, neglected. He felt it then, his hate rise up like bile in his throat, threatening to slaughter him. Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru. Please, don’t let your hate kill you Suguru.
He took a minuet to breathe. Was killing this village really going to do anything? It would feel good, yeah- righteous even. But there were a million more like it. And he couldn’t single handedly slaughter them all. Not without hurting You, Gojo, Shoko, Riko, Haibara, and his own mother all in the process. Were a billion strangers worth the people he loved?
“You know, if you don’t want these girls in the village, there’s a better way to handle it.” That night he adopted Nanako and Mimiko. Sure, he may not be able to save every Jujutsu Sorcerer in the world. But at least he could save these two. A few weeks later, that village burned to the dirt in a forest fire, so maybe karma was real.
The bell ringing broke his train of thought, and snapped him back to the real world. You smiled as you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. “See you at lunch!” You winked to him as you grabbed your bag and made your way to your classroom. He smiled softly as he watched you go.
“Yeah, see you then.” He said, making his way to his own classroom.
Suguru swore up and down his class wasn’t hard. It was classical literature, if ya just read the book, and did the assignments, he was pretty generous with the A’s. It was why conversations like this were always at least mildly amusing to him.
“I just don’t understand why you’re being to difficult about this” Nobara argued, “It’s just a few points!”
“Nobara, rounding from a C to an A is not a few points. It’s an entire letter grade.” He gently reminded her.
“Yeah, and what’s an entire letter grade if not just a few points?” She argued back. He sighed and rubbed his temples. Nobara had always been a forced to be reckoned with, and was always determined to get what she wanted.
“Look, Nobara, I’ll compromise with you. You know the big report we have coming up on Fires on the Plain?”
“I do.” She confirmed.
“If you do really well on it, And I mean really well, I need you to make at least an A on it- I’ll bump your grade to a B+” That was where her grade would be at anyway if she made an A on the report, “Sound good?” Nobora grinned like she got away with something.
“Oh yeah, I could do that in my sleep!” She declared, and Suguru had to hold back a laugh, “You’re on Sensei!” She grinned, muttering a soft ‘sucker’ under her breath as she left the room. Once she was gone, Suguru let his chuckle out. It was always fun tricking his students into accidentally taking their studies serious.
“Whats got you giggling?” You asked from his doorway, a small smile creeping onto your lips from the sound of his light laughter.
“Oh, nothing,” He said with a wave of his hand, “Just my students thinking they’re gaming the system by-” He pretended to check his notes- “Doing the work.”
“Let me guess, Nobara?”
“It was Nobara.” He confirmed, and you both let out a small giggle. You walked into his classroom and leaned against his desk facing him.
“Very on brand for her. So, have you thought about dinner tonight?” You asked. He smiled and nodded, getting out of his chair to come and wrap his arms around your waist. Was it risky? Kind of, everyone was out to lunch, sure, but that didn’t mean that you two weren’t out in the open. He couldn’t help it though. Whenever you were around, he had to have his arms around you. He didn’t spend almost 6 years chasing your affections to not hold you whenever he could.
“I have actually,” He smiled, “I thought we could cook something together tonight? I found a new pork belly recipe that seemed right up your ally.”
“Oooo, another night in! How exciting!” You giggled. And you meant it too. While to most people, a night in was a boring everyday thing, Jujutsu Sorcerers weren’t blessed with the luxury of having a night at home promised to them. They weren’t even guaranteed the simple pleasure of coming home at night. So, a night in to the two of you was fun, exciting, and unquantifiably valuable.
“I thought you’d be excited,” He smiled lovingly at you. You look so precious in his arms. He couldn’t believe something as beautiful and pristine as you found any value in him. That you had found him worthy of the time it took to save him. Suguru wasn’t a religious man, but he thought maybe he could believe in angels if they were half as perfect as you were. He had no idea what he did to earn the right to have you as his angel, but he was so fucking happy he did it.
His swelling emotions got the better of him, and he leaned down to kiss you. A warm current flowed between the two of you, the familiar taste of cinnamon coffee filling your senses as you melted into him. He was comforting and safe, and in his embrace you were almost convinced nothing bad could ever happen.
“OH, I KNEW IT!” Of course something bad had to happen. The two of you scrambled away from each other, looking at Gojo like two teenagers that had been caught making out in your parents car. It was actually embarrassing. “I KNEW YOU TWO HAD A THING!”
“Satoru, It’s not what it looks like!” You panicked.
“Yeah, It’s not like that, Y/n just…had something on her face! I was wiping it off.”
“With your mouth!?” Gojo scoffed.
“...Yes?” Someone, take away Suguru’s lying privileges. Your face hit your plam at the lame lie, and Gojo rolled his eyes.
“I’d asked if you guys thought I was dumb, but clearly you do! Why would you keep this from me?” He all but whined as he fully entered the classroom.
“Well Satoru, it’s…well..” You tried to think of something to save his feelings.
“There are celebrity tabloids better at keeping secrets than you Satoru.” Nevermind Suguru, go back to lying.
“Hey, that’s not true!” Satoru said on his own defense, “When Shoko started smoking again I kept that secret!”
“Shoko started smoking again?” You gasped.
“...fuck.” Satoru whispered.
“See Satoru! That’s what we mean.” Suguru sighed, seeing his job flash before his eyes.
“It’s still not cool!” Gojo pouted, “My two closest friends in the entire world fall in love and they won’t even tell me! No wonder you guys haven’t wanted to hang out on the weekends. You’ve been together, haven’t you!?” You and Suguru looked down in shame. Maybe it wasn’t exactly fair to keep him completely out of the loop.
“Do you guys hate me?” Gojo asked, the betrayal he felt seeping into his voice.
“No, Satoru, we love you!” You assured him.
“You’re our best friend, of course we love you!” Suguru confirmed, “We just also like being able to pay rent!”
“Paying rent is so important!” You nodded.
“I wouldn’t tell anyone!” Satoru insisted, “I would never do anything to put your livelihoods at risk! I thought you guys would have known that.” He pouted.
“We do know that,” You sighed.
“Do we?” Suguru whispered, just for you to swiftly pat him to remind him to behave.
“We were just being cautious. I’m sorry we hurt your feelings Satoru.” You apologized as you went to your wounded friend, patting his back for comfort. Suguru joined you on his other side.
“Yeah man, I’m sorry. We’ll try and keep you in the loop about more things, okay?” Suguru promised. Satoru sniffled and nodded.
“Okay…I forgive you guys.” He said, looking up and smiling at the two of you. “So when do I get to come to date night?”

Tumblr media
the sky was overcast and dreary as you looked out the window of the plane, matching how heavily your heart felt in your chest. you had gotten the frantic call from your mom just a day ago, unintelligible sobs coming through the speaker as you struggled to make out what she was trying to say. once you had managed to calm her down enough, the words still rang in your head - your older sister lauren was dead.
shot down in the middle of the street on her way to work, a senseless act of violence that had ripped another loved one from your life. you and lauren had always been close growing up, her taking on more of a motherly role for you after your dad passed when you were young. the news had devastated you, a raw ache settling deep in your bones that only growing distance from new orleans could numb. but now you were returning, having to face the painful reality you had tried to escape for so long.
the cab pulled up outside the familiar green house you had spent your childhood in. everything looked the same yet felt wholly foreign now. you paid the driver and got out, dragging your suitcase behind you as you walked slowly up the weathered wooden steps of the porch. you could hear noise from inside - no doubt your mom was surrounded by friends and family offering their condolences. steeling yourself, you rang the bell and waited.
the door swung open to reveal your mom, her usual brightness dimmed by tired eyes puffy from tears. "oh honey," she breathed, pulling you into a tight embrace. you hugged her back just as fiercely, both of you finding solace in the comfort of family. after a few moments, she pulled away, dabbing at her eyes with a tissue. "come in, sweetie. everyone's been expecting you."
you nodded, following her inside. the living room was filled with more people than you could count, all turning to offer you sad smiles or hugs as you made your way through. your mom led you to the kitchen, putting on a pot of coffee. "i'm just so glad you're here. it helps to have you for lauren's children."
at the mention of them, a fresh wave of grief crashed over you. aiden and lily, your beloved nephew and niece, who had just lost their mother in the worst way. "how are they doing?" you asked gently.
your mom sighed. "as well as can be expected i suppose. aiden tries to be strong for lily but i know he's hurting inside. they're upstairs if you want to go see them."
you nodded, giving her shoulder a squeeze before heading to the steps. you climbed slowly, dreading the pain you knew seeing them would bring but needing to be there all the same. stopping outside lauren's childhood bedroom, now occupied by her kids, you took a steadying breath before knocking lightly.
"come in!" came aiden's voice.
you opened the door to find them sitting side by side on the bed, coloring books and crayons scattered around. lily's eyes lit up when she saw you. "auntie!"
you managed a small smile for her sake, coming over to sit on lily's side and pulling them both into a hug. "i'm so sorry i couldn't be here sooner."
aiden just nodded, ever the serious eight year old. but lily clung to you, always the more openly affectionate of the two. "mommy's in heaven with grandpa now, right?"
a lump formed in your throat at her innocent question. "yeah sweetheart, she is. and i know she'd want you both to know how much she loves you."
you talked with them for a while, trying your best to comfort the grieving children as they grieved the mother they would never see growing up. eventually, though their growing tiredness became evident, and you put them both to bed with soft kisses to their foreheads before retreating back downstairs.
the crowd had dispersed some by then, leaving your mom washing dishes in the kitchen. you moved to help her dry. "how are the kids holding up, really?" she asked cautiously.
you sighed. "well they're alright? i guess. aiden seems to be shouldering a lot though, trying not to show how sad he truly is. and lily... she just misses her mommy." your voice broke on the last words.
your mom pulled you into her side, rubbing your back comfortingly. "they have you now though. and i know your sister would be grateful to have you here for them."
you nodded mutely, not trusting yourself to speak. the weight of responsibility for lauren's kids now rested heavily on your shoulders. you couldn't imagine their pain at such a tender age, having the stability and love of their mother ripped away. but you were determined to be there for them, to honor your sister's memory by helping to raise them the best you could.
the following week, preparations blurred by in a haze of funeral arrangements and grieving relatives. you focused your energy on aiden and lily, keeping them entertained and trying to give them as much normalcy as possible through the sadness. the service was a sombre affair, tears falling freely as lauren's casket was lowered into the ground beside your father's plot.
after, you helped your mom host the gathering back at the house. old friends regaled stories of lauren through watery smiles, no doubt wondering how someone so full of life could be taken so prematurely. as the crowd dispersed in the evening, a heavy tiredness settled over you. all you wanted was rest to escape the grief for a while.
"why don't you go on and get some sleep, hon. i've got things handled down here," your mom insisted, ever perceptive of your drained state.
you gave her a grateful hug. "thanks, mom. i love you." you head upstairs and collapse onto the bed with a tired sigh. the soft mattress enveloped you in comfort, lulling your mind towards sleep.
just then there was a soft knock on your bedroom door. "come in," you called quietly.
the door opened to reveal your niece lily, clutching her favorite stuffed animal tightly. her eyes were filled with tears as she looked up at you. "i had a bad dream, auntie y/n. can i be with you?"
you gave her a gentle smile and opened your arms. "of course sweet girl. come here."
lily hurried over and climbed into bed next to you. you wrapped her in your embrace, rubbing her back soothingly until her tears subsided. "it's okay, you're safe now. i'll be right here all night to keep the bad dreams away."
eventually, her trembling slowed as exhaustion overtook her small body once more. you placed a soft kiss to her forehead, watching as she drifted into peaceful slumber curled up against your side. finding comfort in caring for lauren's children helped dull some of the aches in your own heart. for now, sleep was what you both needed most. and so with lily's quiet breaths filling the silence, you closed your eyes and surrendered to rest at last.

1. Aiden: So, uh...
Sam: Yes?
Aiden: I thought you didn't care about weed.
Sam: ...morally?
Aiden: I guess.
Sam: No, I don't.
Aiden: But you did. Earlier. You didn't want me and Kell to smoke weed.
Sam: No.
Aiden: So you do care.
Sam: About you smoking weed, yes.
2. Aiden: But it'd be fine if it was Kell.
Sam: Yes? You were just in a coma, Aiden.
Aiden: Well, yeah, I know that, but it's not like weed had anything to do with that.
Sam: That's not my point.
Aiden: What is your point, then?
Sam: You know why I'm worried.
Aiden: No, I don't.
3. Sam: I think if you smoke weed once you're going to struggle to stay clean. It's like a recovering alcoholic drinking a low-alcohol beer, it's still alcohol.
Aiden: It's really not the same.
Sam: How? How is that not the same?
Aiden: It's just not.
Sam: You're being awfully defensive.
Aiden: So are you!
4. Sam: Defensive of what? I'm just worried. I want to help you.
Aiden: Well, you're overworrying and it's kind of having the opposite effect.
Sam: You brought this up, Aiden.
5. Aiden: Well, you kind of brought it up by saying you didn't want me to smoke weed.
Sam: I didn't say anything, Kell just assumed.
Aiden: So if I told you I was going to go get high right now you'd be totally fine with that.
Sam: Obviously not? I don't understand what point you're trying to make.
Aiden: Just... forget it.
6. Sam: Aiden!
Aiden: Just drop it. I don't want to argue.
Sam: We don't have to argue. I just thought you were planning on staying clean.
7. Aiden: I am.
Sam: So why would you jeopardize your recovery by doing drugs?
Aiden: I wouldn't. I'm just talking, you know, hypothetically.
Sam: Why are you getting so worked up over a hypothetical situation?
Aiden: I just...
8. Aiden: I don't know. I just think you're overreacting a little.
Sam: Overreacting? Aiden, you were in a coma because of drugs, I think I'm underreacting!
Aiden: Well, I'm not talking about the whole situation, I'm talking about weed specifically.
Sam: Aiden, I... don't do this again, please, I don't have the energy for this.
9. Aiden: We were just talking, weren't we?
Sam: It's like you're willfully missing my point. Every time.
Aiden: I'm just asking you.
Sam: Asking me what?
Aiden: If you'd care if I smoked weed.
Sam: Yes, I would care. I already told you.
Aiden: Yeah. But why?
10. Sam: I already told you. You're not satisfied with my answer, is that it? You want me to tell you that I'm completely okay with you going straight back to drugs after you were in a fucking coma?
Aiden: Obviously I get that you're not okay with that.
11. Sam: So what's the issue, Aiden?
Aiden: You'd have no problem with Kell smoking weed.
Sam: No.
Aiden: But it's a problem when I do it.
Sam: You have a drug problem. Kell doesn't. [Sigh] Aiden, please, you know what the issue is. I don't need to explain it to you.
Aiden: ...well, I told you to just forget it, so... yeah. Whatever. It doesn't matter.
12. Sam: No, Aiden, tell me what's bothering you.
Aiden: I don't know. Okay? I don't know.
Sam: I feel like you're just saying that.
13. Aiden: I don't know, it just... it feels like no one trust me with, you know... and, I mean, I can't even blame you, but...
Sam: Tell me how to help you in a better way.
14. Aiden: ...I don't know.
Sam: Think about it. And tell me, because I can't read your mind.
15. Aiden: Yeah. I will.

silly headcanons pt 2‼️
here we go. . Yay
Whenever they go out, Ashlyn had to wear like a TON of sunscreen because she’s pale af (same)
Scratch what I said last time, Aiden actually likes spiders, but is scared of grasshoppers. Why? Because they keep jumping on him and towards him because they don’t mind their stupid business and are so big for no reason. Ashlyn agrees with this statement
Aiden is so scared of failing his parents, as they seem to have high expectations with him and he’s worried that whatever he does may not be good enough or doesn’t fit their criteria, even if his parents try and reassure him it’s fine to mess up something, referring to his past
Aiden and Taylor totally listen to vocaloid
Beach time? Ashlyn is hiding in the shade on her phone, occasionally going out to swim. . But goes back because the water is freakishly cold. Ben is making sand castles (with or without that little cousin I forgot her name) Logan is collecting shells and cool objects for the sand castle and observation purposes (nerd) Taylor and Tyler are splashing eachother and seeing who can swim faster (Tyler refuses to play but does anyway for her) And Aiden is catching sand crabs, swimming, and climbing the rocky areas to find creatures or lost items to show everyone else.
birthdays? Aiden buys the best gifts cause he rich and seems to know everyone the most because he’s intrusive. Ashlyn buys pretty good ones as well becuase of her hearing everything everywhere. Logan isn’t the best and struggles but pulls through well in the end. Ben makes his own birthday gifts from scratch like a pro!! Taylor and Tyler team up, and usually do well (especially with secret Santa)
Aiden never actually went trick or treating before (bozo) because of his constant traveling, so the most he could and would ever do is buy candy the night of and watch something alone. The buds got together for a day and all went trick or treating for Aidens sake and he loved it. (He scared many kids that day because he went as a clown lmao)
Aiden does graffiti art les go!!!! (Got in trouble once)
Aiden ALMOST went to jail, but it was just some old lady complaining about how he looked because he kept smiling at her and thought he was being cocky (he was)
Ben listens to metal (you just take a headphone from him and you hear screaming and a heavy instrumental 💀)
both Ashlyn and Ben also listen to orchestral music, Taylor occasionally because it appeases her mind.
Horror movies? Ben dos NOT like them, but watches for the others sake. Logan feels the same way, and covers his face anytime a jumpscare is coming up (fails each time, ends up seeing every jumpscare and screams, jumps into the arms of the nearest person) Ashlyn doesn’t get scared easily with them, but only when she can’t tell if one’s gonna happen or not. Tyler likes them, but doesn’t admit to being scared at times. Taylor and Aiden love them, actually talking about what parts they liked and what they could have done better on.
since people are doing these, here:
Bi Ashlyn, considers herself a girl, but also as nothing sometimes (idk the word)
Pan Aiden, doesn’t care who you are, just be able to tolerate him.
Tyler is a homophobic homosexual
Logan is bi, no major preferences.
Ben is a straight and ace
Taylor is ace and demi romantic
love how most people seemed to agree with Taylor and Ben being ace
Ashlyn and Taylor have girls nights sometimes, usually with Taylor taking a ton of photos and Ashlyn getting bombarded with questions from Aiden and Tyler (mostly Aiden)
TW!! SH
When it came to Aiden being a alone in his room and him moving around a lot, it was hard for him to feel anything besides loneliness, so he took to SH for a while, mostly on his upper thighs because he felt no one would see them as easily. Even now he starts it up again when he’s super upset and had really no way to get his frustration out, didn’t help with the constant mask he put up. He feels better, but every now and then his emotions slip and he starts it up again, going further without realizing. He wears a strong foundation to at least cover some of them up, but someone noticed. Who? That’s up for you to decide.
ok good bye thanks for reading!!11!! 😹🌝🤺

The Road to Kaer Morhen - p.5
(canon typical violence below, mild)
Jaskier's breath caught in his throat and made him stumble. Unable to intervene he had to watch Aiden cast the familiar blue shock wave at the group of soldiers behind them. At once the men in front were thrown back, crashing into their fellow soldiers and creating a loud ruckus that made Jaskier's ears ring. Wind caught his hair, blinding him momentarily, as he cursed Aiden for his stupidity.
While the burst of Aard had certainly helped them to gain some distance from the soldiers, they could just have split up earlier than planned, to achieve the exact same thing. It took the soldiers hardly a minute before they were up and running again, this time yelling orders at each other about Aiden not being the White Wolf, but another witcher and therefore their new priority. Aiden who, despite him insisting on the opposite, was not yet fully recovered and still struggled with both his balance and restricted vision. Him being their primary target was a very bad, not good thing that would definitely lead to some unavoidable consequences. Jaskier cursed again, grabbed the witcher by his knotted sleeve and tucked him forcefully to the left, where the street parted into a busy crossroad. “Why on earth would you do that?!” He demanded to know, dodging a farmer's cart by a hair's length and pulling Aiden with him. The Cat could only look at him bewildered, Jaskier's worries completely flying past his head.
With a loud groan, the bard realized that Aiden, like every other damned witcher he had met before, had absolutely no sense for protecting himself. Jaskier had no idea, why he had thought otherwise in the first place. In that regard they all proved to be idiots again and again.
Finally reaching the market after what felt like forever, Jaskier zigzagged through the groups of people until he couldn't see the soldiers anymore. “Alright, we're splitting up now. You're of greater importance to them, because those prejudiced piss pots think you are stronger than me.” Aiden raised his eyebrows at that, but Jaskier didn't give him time to argue. “So don't get caught, alright? Be as inconspicuous as possible, disguise yourself if you can. I mean it, Aiden, I am not walking up that mountain on my own, because I will perish of boredom if you're not with me.”
“Whoa, there, shouldn't I be the one that worries about you?” The witcher asked, with a lopsided grin on his face. “You are a tiny, little human, after all.” Jaskier took a deep breath and let the imaginary weight fall off his shoulders. He knew he tended to be overprotective over his friends and family, but Aiden was right, he shouldn't worry too much about the other man. Cats were known for their excellent stealth. He'd probably scale the next building and hide away in the shadows of the rooftops until it was time for the two of them to meet at the other side of the city, were it adjoined the forest.
Feeling a little better about their situation, he grinned back at the witcher, “See you at sun-high.” And with one last wave, he dove into the crowds.
From then on everything felt a little bit easier. He was back in his element. Passing errand boys, dodging groups of chattering wives and stepping out of the way of heavily laden errand boys, Jaskier easily put more and more distance between him in the troop of soldiers, who's redanian armor made them stand out like donkeys among sheep. It was actually quite funny to watch them, how they stumbled around, fishing for some sort of authority the didn't have in a country that wasn't theirs. A troop of redanian soldiers against a single kaedweni innkeeper was one thing, but seeing them trying and failing to shoo away the three old women that were gossiping in front of a young lad that looked somewhat similar to Jaskier was the height of entertainment.
Despite his colorful outfit and obvious lute bag, hardly anyone spared him more than a glance. No matter what Geralt said, walking through a city with just enough confidence to look like you belonged there, but not too much to stand out, was an art form in itself. Truth be told, Jaskier might've only believed so because it took him years to perfect this skill. He was an expert in it now, though and when one of his pursuers came a bit too close to him, he calmly kept on walking, passing the man with just two other people between them. He followed the natural flow of people for a while, discreetly taking down every Wanted Notice with his name on it. Every now and then he tried to look up the rafters and roofs of houses that seemed rather climbable, without appearing too suspicious, but he never saw a hint of his Cat.
Maybe that was for the better, he willed his anxiousness to quieten. If he wasn't here, that only meant that he was already waiting somewhere in the forest. Sun-high wasn't that far away anyways.
He helped a young mother by picking up the knot doll her child had dropped and exchanged a couple of pleasant words while they walked closer towards the forest. Saying his goodbyes with a warm smile, Jaskier stepped off the main street and into a much smaller alley that lead to a few single story houses. He took his time to pet a tricolored barn cat, just as promised, before slowly but surely merging into the slim shadows. More and more aware of his bearings, he crept along the walls of houses and sheds, turning around and pretending to take a piss against a bush when a merchant rode by. Crude but effective. The only thing left that separated him from his goal was a wide dirt rode that carved around the forest.
Standing in the shade of a wooden canopy Jaskier remained still as a statue, eyes scanning through the underbrush, ears strained for any noise that didn't belong. The problem with that being, that everything inside a forest made noise and trying to figure out which once were normal sounds and which weren't usually fell into Geralt's domain. With his witcher hearing he could not only make out a rustling bush, but also listen for a heartbeat and identify it as either animal, human or monster. There was also the fact that Jaskier's sense of smell couldn't pick up anything than the stink of fox and the giant dung heap nearby.
In the end he just had to trust his instincts. And his instincts were telling him to worry.
It didn't take long for him to realize why.
It wasn't the forest that was off, it was the road. The sun was high in the sky, just starting to change from comfortably warm to hot, the market was full with all kinds of people and yet the road was empty. No wagons, no riders, not a single person to be seen. Someone was blocking off the path. Someone that held no authority over a crowd but could easily scare away any passerby. It could be a trap of course, but Jaskier had spent enough time singing in the barracks of Redania to know how they usually operated. The bard had always had a strong dislike for soldiers. Few of them were decent people these days. There was hardly anything knightly or chivalrous about them, as if they forgot what they were fighting for. Unlike them, Jaskier hadn't allowed himself to be controlled by his disdain and had followed his orders properly. Singing and performing in the barracks, listening in to every conversation that would meet his ears. He had learned a lot, almost too much, about how the soldiers really worked behind their pretenses. Cordoning off an area just big enough people on the outside wouldn't make out the noise their prisoners made when they were beat to a pulp, was certainly one of their favorites. There was an advantage though, Jaskier thought as he emerged from the canopy and walked right into the forest, nobody would be able to hear them screaming either. The only thing that kept him from smiling was the knowledge that whatever they had done to his Cat Witcher wouldn't be pretty.
And it really wasn't.
The camp, counting six tents and four horses, was built around an old tree, its trunk wide enough to withstand the hissing and spitting Cat Witcher that was chained to it. His linen shirt was torn during a fight, deep irregular gashes cut through his chest, the witcher's blood soaking into his clothes and the bandages underneath. Aiden was screaming with rage, struggling against his bindings without any sense to it, throwing his head from left to right, snapping his teeth at everyone that dared to come too close. His fangs were bloody, successful. To Jaskier's eyes it was almost alarmingly obvious that Aiden's aggression was mainly caused by pure fear and pain. The witcher's instincts had clearly taken over. He didn't even react to the bard when said one entered the camp. Five soldiers, one archer, turned towards him.
Oh I know. I know you want Jaskier to fight, but please take note, should you choose this, the next chapter will be detailed and violent. (and 100% skipable of course! I know not everyone likes to read that sort of stuff, don't worry, I got you!) The author craves blood.
Negotiating is always an option to keep this pg.
Also there's now a relationship bar in the drawing, so: Aiden/Lambert is set in stone for this fic, but Aiden/Jaskier or Aiden/Jaskier/Lambert is up to you, I will give you multiple chances for this, so don't worry.
please like and reblog if you voted✨🌿🌼✨

911 Spoilers Season 3: You’ve been warned. 😅 Buddie Rewatch
Episode 15: Eddie Begins
Flash back to Shannon giving Birth to Christopher. Eddie being over whelmed with emotion and hesitant to cut the umbilical cord.
We meet Shannon’s Mom, and her history with Cancer.
We also learn about Eddie’s dad missing his birth and his sister’s birth because of work.
Shannon gifts Eddie his Saint Chritopher necklace.
Eddie wakes up from a state of unconsciousness and is trapped under ground pleading and screaming that he is still alive.
The 118 testing walkie talkies, it cuts to Eddie first outside with the hoses. Buck announcing company and Christopher and Carla walk in. He of course fails to do it into the walkie talkie. He repeats it back into the walkie and asks if he passed. Eddie walking in behind Bobby and gives a slight side eye.
Christopher calls for Eddie. Turns out Chris forgot to coordinate for show and tell and wants Eddie to tell his classmates how he got a silver star.
As soon as Chris hands over the silver star to Eddie, Eddie gets war flash backs, and Buck appears behind him asking about the star.
Buck asking Eddie if he ever just wears the star and how he would never take it off if he had a medal. Eddie snatching the star back from him in a light playful matter.
Buck asking if he can even tell the story about how he got it to a bunch of kids, Eddie not sure if that’s possible. Christopher being adorable and insisting, Eddie caving and the way Buck smiles as Eddie caves is adorable.  They are of course a foot from each other.
The bell rings and as they run off Eddie says I love you to Chris and Chris says it back.
Lost child: Buck screaming Aiden. Eddies being incredibly observant and finding where the kid may be. The kid being stuck in a ridiculously small pipe.
Eddie and Buck standing next to each other as they come up with a game plan to get the kid out of the well.
Lighting, a storm is brewing, and increasing the difficulty of the rescue. Eddie and Buck prepping to send down a radio, so that Aiden can hear them and know they are trying to help him.
Eddie taking over for the mom to speak to Hayden, letting him know they are coming down and do not be afraid.
Eddie volunteers to go down into rescue Hayden.
Flash back to Eddie and Shannon fighting about the fact that Eddie reenlisted. Eddie, claiming he needs to for the sake of the family and Shannon telling him that he’s made that decision alone. Eddie struggling to comfort a crying Christopher who is fighting to get away from him.
Eddie being lowered into the hole and the radio cutting out. He can’t hear Bobby and Bobby can’t hear him. Eddie begins to dig in the direction of the kid. They lose the signal to the video.
Eddie found the kid and is trying to pull him up, but time has run out. Buck suggests giving Eddie a bit more time, but concerns over his well being causes the 118 to decide to pull him up.
As Eddie starts to pull Hayden up and out of the pipe, he is quickly and violently pulled up. Eddie struggles and attempts to pull the other direction, but has to cut himself off.
Buck announces to the team that he lost the weight on the rope. He pulls the rest of the rope out of the ground
Buck wanting to be the one to go down after Eddie, but Hen stating that that’s not going to happen, because they know he’d also cut the rope if anything were to happen.
Eddie is underground having a flash back. He’s talking to Shannon and Christopher on video chat. The connection is fuzzy and you can hear Shannon talk about needing to go see her mom. The connection drops.
They are flying over the Valley of Death. Injured soldier tells Eddie that his Saint Christopher necklace had fallen and the bond over having kids.
The helicopter they are in is shot down and Eddie wakes up to a lot of gun fire. He starts pulling people out of the helicopter to safety, and even pulls out the only dead body as they wait for rescue. Eddie is shot and as he starts to lose hope, he holds up a photo of Christopher and the Saint Christopher necklace, help finally arrives.
Eddie is home with the family, his Dad is proud of the silver star. His mom telling Eddie he’s given Chris the wrong kid of juice. Shannon trying to bring up moving to California for his mom. Eddie loses his cool and yells at Shannon. Eddie wakes up to Chris in his bed and being told that Shannon has left.
Eddie is conscious in the tunnel, and is able to grab hold of Hayden. Hayden finds Eddie’s saint Christopher necklace.  Chim making it down and finding both of them safely. Chim takes Hayden back up and as they are getting ready to send Eddie another line, lighting strikes and causes the equipment to collapse.
Eddie is buried alive and Buck imidetly distraught. Buck is on his hands and knees digging with his bare hands. Bobby tries to stop him and is pulling him up from the ground. Buck is fighting Bobby and throwing himself towards the ground screaming Eddie. Finally, Buck is pulled onto his back, he’s violently sobbing in the rain.
This is a relatively short clip and the devastation we see on Buck’s face is heart breaking. If it was not for Bobby trying to help him up, Buck would have continued to dig with his bare hands.
The scene cuts to Buck and Bobby inside. Buck wants to go out there to dig, even if that means with his bare hands. Everyone around him is aware of the possibility that Eddie is dead.
Eddie is screaming underground that he is alive.
Flash back to Eddie’s parents trying to convince him to leave Chris with them. Eddie doesn’t want that life for Christopher.
Eddie and Chirstopher discuss taking a trip an being excited together. They talk about how they missed each other and embrace in a hug.
Eddie is submerged underwater. Aimlessly swimming around, low on oxygen. Eddie losing consciousness again.
Flashes back to when Buck finds out he has a kid and how Buck loves kid and Eddie states he loves this one. The next flash back being Chritopher walking his helmet over to him during his firefighter ceremony, Buck is also in this flash back watching Chris.
The third clip is Christopher giggling with the 118. Eddie is sitting next to him as the team is laughing over some joke. The fourth clip is Chris riding along in the fire truck. The fifih clip is Christopher and Bobby hanging out together.
The sixth clip is Buck and Eddie hugging. The seventh clip is the 118 hugging. The eighth clip is Eddie hugging Bobby after Shannon’s passing.
The ninth clip is Buck and Eddie laughing and giving each other a fist bump. The tenth clip is Buck, Chris, and Eddie playing video games together, celebrating.
The eleventh clip is Buck and Christopher sitting together at a gathering at Eddie’s.
The twelfth clip is Eddie watching Chris gift a card to Buck. The thirteenth clip is the day of Shannon’s accident. Him crying in the ambulance and then gathering her belongings.
Montage of Chris and Eddie being together. Happy moments like Halloween, Chris in the Firetruck, Buck and Eddie and Chris seeing Santa from a safe distance.
Eddie and Chris exercising together, brushing their teeth and getting ready for the day together. Buck and Eddie catching Chris as he slides down the fire pole. Chris going to school. Eddie and Buck pushing Chris on a skate board. Eddie reading Chris a bed time story.
Shannon telling Eddie that Chris needs him, flashes of more Chris moments. Eddie gains consciousness again and continues to swim. He surfaces to the top of a lake and is able to breath.
This montage of flash backs is done with Eddie narrating about found family and his love for Christopher and fighting for Christopher. The main character in these flash backs is Chris, but something that needs to be pointed out is how often Buck is in those clips as well. Yes, other members of the 118 are in those clips too, but not as much as Buck.
This moment is also very important to capture, because we all know what happens in Season 4. I’m not going to elaborate too much on what happens in Season 4 just yet, but they call back to this moment of Eddie being buried alive.
This moment is the moment that Eddie knew how important Buck to his life. Christopher being the most important person. Buck becoming someone who is always around and plays a huge role in Christopher’s life. Eddie has not made a connection that Buck could be a romantic interest. But the connection he did make is that this man deeply cares for his son. They are apart of a found family.
Buck is channeling anger, he is hyper focused, ready to find and dig Eddie out of the ground. They are ready to take action when Eddie appears out of no ware, looking like death, but triumphantly saying “It won’t be easy” before collapsing onto the floor. The 118 running over towards Eddie to pick him up. Bobby on one side and Buck on the other. Hen and Chim behind him.
Buck is staring at Eddie in bewilderment. Eddie is just gasping for air. Buck becoming really happy and laughing as they walk Eddie off the scene.
Eddie is at Chris’ show and tell, listening to Chris present about the silver star. Eddie tells a very toned-down version of the story of how he got the silver star.
Eddie show casing the only jewelry he walks around with, which is his Saint Christopher necklace. Ana asks if that is his good luck charm. Eddie responding with no, that Christopher is his good luck charm.

the terror you long to look at
Written for @teenwolf-meta’s Meta May Monday theme: Ties.
Despite my frustration with the show’s handling of the anuk-ite’s mythology, I really liked the idea that, in the finale, it lures people into looking at it by becoming someone they long to see--but, at the same time, because the anuk-ite is a fear monster, someone they’re terrified of. I was frustrated, however, by the fact that the shape it took was either never explicit, or depended on who was doing a cameo for the finale. Here would be my picks for what the anuk-ite would look like, for the people who had to face it, if casting and time weren’t an issue:
Peter Hale would see Laura Hale. I didn’t dislike that the monster took the form of Malia, for Peter. She’s definitely someone he longs to see, and I’d interpret the fear aspect as either shame for when he’d hurt her or her loved ones, or simply fear of the fact that she sees through him. I think it would have meant a lot, however, if they’d shown explicitly that he misses Laura, and is afraid to face the fact that he murdered her even as he longs to see her. His murder of her starts the entire story, and it would have been an interesting way to incorporate it into the show’s finale.
Malia Tate would see Kylie Tate. We don’t actually know what form the anuk-ite took for her, which makes me mad, because it would have been such a good time to explore her grief for Kylie. One of the first things we learn about Malia is that she’s haunted by her sister’s death most of all, and is still, in some way, looking out for her. No matter how much time passes, she’s always going to.
Jackson Whittemore would see Matt Daehler. This one’s a little shaky because s2 ends with Jackson very clearly growing out of the headspace that made him a kanima, and literally growing away from it. But 1) they made him part-kanima again in the finale so I’ve decided that means he’s still got Baggage and 2) even if he moved on from being the kanima in general, Jackson never got to confront Matt specifically. Matt--this guy he had this intense and toxic relationship with, who represented everything the deepest part of him wanted--just disappeared from his life, only to be found dead in water Jackson could have saved him from. I think Jackson is terrified of somehow running into Matt again. I think he’s even more terrified of the idea that, on some level, he’d be happy to see him.
Ethan would see Aiden. How could he not? Of course he longs to see his brother, his literal other half and the one who felt what he felt all his life, whose life Ethan felt in turn. At the same time, we see in both 3a and 3b that Aiden’s passion for violence disquiets Ethan, even though he knows he’s protected by it, and in Motel California, Aiden also represents everything Ethan most fears, what he’d kill himself to escape.
Derek Hale would see Paige Krasikeva. I loved that we got a cameo from Haley Webb, but I maintain that Jennifer was the weakest choice for Derek. It’s not that I don’t think memories of her haunt him, but Derek already confronted Jennifer—multiple times, and in ways that literally had to do with “seeing” her. I definitely don’t think he longs to see her the way he’d long to see Paige, the girl he was manipulated into forcing the bite on—a mistake we know still haunts him. He was rattled to lose even the blue eyes that represent his guilt about her death. I think that even now, his longing to see her would frighten him, since his desire for her once led to her death.
Scott McCall would see his own murdered body. Ok, stay with me on this one! I loved that they did a cameo with the nogitsune wearing Stiles’ body, and I think that ranks near the top of Scott’s fears, but I don’t think he’d be tempted to look at him. Conversely, I think he’d long to look at Allison, but I don’t think that desire would terrify him.
I think the desire that most terrifies Scott is the one for his own death. Scott has struggled with suicidal urges since at least 3a, and Tyler Posey has discussed how, by the time Scott’s murdered in s5, he was “ready to die.” Scott’s death is the end of the relentless struggle his life has been since he was bitten, freedom from all of his perceived failures that haunt him--like the nogitsune taking Stiles’ body, like Allison’s death. It would be so fitting for him to confront that in the library, where he was originally murdered--where his murdered body once lay on the ground, the one part of himself he’ll never be able to see. Unless he looks now.
It would also fit really well with @daughterofluthien’s excellent meta about the meaning of Scott’s self-blinding in the finale. If the anuk-ite represents Scott’s desire to die, then the mutilation represents, ironically, his rejection of that desire, and would foreshadow his similar rejection of the lure of death in the movie, when he growls at the nogitsune: “I’m not ready to die.”

The writing is not writing so um
*Bursts into tears*
Aidlyn ship question thingy because they are the only thing keeping me alive at this point 🙃 BTW this thing is EXTREMELY long so be warned.
Questions from @jennystahl
PRE-RELATIONSHIP
1. How did they first meet?
On the school bus during their first day of freshmen year, obviously :)
2. What was their first impression of each other?
Ash: ... ... ...well. you know. she thought he was a creep- which, to be fair, is a little bit true. Annoying, pushy, borderline stalkerish...she also thought his contacts were weird.
Aiden: He thought she seemed really interesting :) he was very excited to talk to her and he thought that her sitting in front of them was a sign she wanted to start a conversation. Thought her hair was pretty.
3. Did any of their friends and family want to get them together?
Taylor thinks they are super cute together! So does Logan, one time he offered to check their star sign compatibility ^_^ Ben is totally supportive of whatever Aiden wants to do, will be his "wingman" if he asks. Tyler thinks they should just suck it up and get together already. Her parents...ehh...they trust her to make good decisions, even if they think Aiden is "eccentric" (they're still on good terms with him tho!), Jessica and Daniel are just happy he found somebody.
4. Who felt romantic feelings first?
Aiden aiden aiden aiden.
5. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?
Hahaha hahaha. Yes! Of course- Aiden didn't think Ash would ever like him like that so he kinda just buried his feelings since he DEEPLY values his friendship with her. Ash is not really good at distinguishing her feelings between romantic and platonic so it took her a long time to realize. At the beginning she was kinda freaked out about it, but she accepted it pretty quickly.
6. If you had told one of them that the other would be their soul mate, what would they think?
Depends when, but I assume this means when they just met.
Ash: "what kind of sick joke is that?"
Aiden: I don't think the idea would bother him or anything. Would probably get a good laugh out of it though.
7. What would their lives be like if they had never met?
No phantom dimension at least, but Ashlyn would probably be coasting through life alone struggling to make connections, and Aiden would probably keep spiralling if he didn't make any real friends. I think he'd be a lot more unhappy than her.
GENERAL
1. Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?
Ashlyn. She told him kind of bluntly that she had feelings for him and that she wanted to get that off her chest (Taylor gave her the advice). Aiden was ecstatica to say the least.
2. Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?
Not really...they'd already hung out together alone so they just went out again and did what they usually did. They just like to go somewhere quiet like the graveyard and spend time together, Ash's love language is quality time <3
3. What was their first kiss like?
*kneels* Red...I'm praying rn because i hope this will happen in the webtoon...
BUT FOR NOW
Probably a heat of the moment kind of thing. Specially if it was Aiden that was injured. It takes a lot for Ash to take initiative lol. If they weren't dealing with the phantom dimension anymore, I think Aiden would just ask her if he could kiss her after a date or smth. Either way, it's probably very awkward on Ash's part lmao :"D they probably knocked their teeth together haha
4. Were they each other's first anything?
Aiden is pretty much Ash's first...everything. he's the first guy she's kissed, her first relationship, and, technically, her first friend. Ash is Aiden's first romantic relationship. He's had friends before tho and he's kissed some other people, but nothing serious.
5. Height difference? Age difference?
Aiden is 174 cm and Ashlyn is 155 cm, so...7ish inches? I don't know how to convert-
Aiden was born in October 2000, and Ash was born in June 2001, so they have about 8 months between them 👍🏽
6. What's their relationship with each other's families? Do they share a friend group?
Ofc they share a friend group lol.
Mike and Emma like Aiden ^_^ they're pretty close with all of Ash's friends, but when they found out they were dating they didn't spare him the "parent-boyfriend" talk lol. Ash's relationship with his parents is...pretty awkward, she doesn't like them all that much, but Aidens been working on their relationship so she doesn't say anything. Same with his aunt and uncle. She likes hanging out with Lily tho, even if she's awkward around kids :)
7. Who takes the lead in social situations?
Depends on the situation, but usually Aiden will, he basically has no filter when it comes to talking with people lol. Very much the "Excuse me sir, she asked for no pickles." Meme 🤡 (Ash would just be annoyed and scrape them off)
8. Who gets jealous easier?
Aiden absolutely. It's the BPD + ADHD rejection sensitivity. Can spiral into irrationality ngl. Thankfully he doesn't get aggressive or gives her the cold shoulder, if anything he gets clingier.
9. Who whispers unsuitable things in the others' ear?
Aiden 100% 🫠 will say the most out of pocket shit ever at the worst possible time and Ash just has to fight back her laugh because oh my god, this guy.
LOVE
1. Who said "I love you" first?
Aiden. She got kinda awkward and couldn't say it back, but he didn't take it personally because she hugged him afterwards.
2. What are their primary love languages?
Ash is quality time as mentioned above. She doesn't need grand gestures, or gifts, or him reassuring her constantly, she just wants to...be around him.
Aiden is definitely touch. It's easy, it makes him feel good, and he feels like it expresses what he wants to say better than words. But he really likes it when Ash reassures him with words of affirmation anyways.
3. Who uses cheesy pick-up lines?
Do you even have to ask? Aiden pretty much greets her with one every day and Ash still hasn't understood a single one. There's also like, a 25% chance he will forget the pick up line half way through delivering it so he'll just bungle the whoel thing up.
4. How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA?
Aiden kinda hovers around her in public so PDA is a given. She's got a pretty strict "no pda at school" rule tho. She's okay with him putting his arm around her or putting their heads together, but no kissing. Cuddling at home? That's fine, she likes napping with him.
5. Who initiates kisses?
Ash if it's on the mouth, Aiden if it's anywhere else.
6. Who's the big spoon and who's the little spoon?
Neither, they sleep facing each other. Aiden moves around in his sleep a lot which drives Ash nuts. They usually end up tangled together, to Ash's despair.
7. What are their favourite things to do together?
Ash isn't super picky, she generally prefers something they can do at home. She really likes watching documentaries about her special interests while they lie on the couch together.
Aiden likes doing puzzles with her, they get to talk together while doing one of his favourites activities :) he likes to go out too, but he doesn't want Ash to get overstimulated, so they'll usually go out to some deserted place at night.
8. Who's better at comforting the other?
They both suck at it lmao 💀 but Aiden calms down a lot faster than Ash does, so technically Ash is better.
9. Who's more protective?
They both are extremely protective. And like in a feral way ngl. They WILL choose violence lol.
10. Do they prefer verbal or physical affection?
Ash likes physical affection because she doesn't really know how to respond to verbal affection. Aiden is fine with either, a cuddle or a compliment is good for him :) Slight preference towards physical touch tho, and verbal is like a little treat for him since Ash almost never does it.
11. What are some songs that apply to their relationship?
I let you go to Red's playlist for that :D (But I recommend "High on Life", good song that explains Aiden's view on Ash)
12. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?
Ash doesn't use nicknames a lot, she just calls him Aiden, or something like "stupid, idiot, dumbass, imbecile" when he's annoyed her. Mr. Durable is the closest thing to a pet name she will give him lol.
Aiden will call Ash every single freaking thing you can imagine. Baby, babe, Bae, my love if he's feeling dramatic, Red because he's obvious like that, "wifey" is he's feeling fearless lmao. And then there's the *weird* petnames; "my sweet ketchup packet", "my favourite little rubix cube", "my beautiful princess with a disorder". All of these make Ash want to rip her hair out.
13. Who remembers the little things?
Neither of them do in on purpose 🤡 Aiden will just hyperfixate on stuff Ash tells him and remember it for special occasions. Ash is more about the every day little things, reminds him to drink water, sends him food in case he forgot it, asks how he's sleeping.
DOMESTIC LIFE
1. If they get married, who proposes?
Aiden had a whole thing planned before Ash asked him for the tax benefits.
2. What's the wedding like? Who attends?
They prolly got married at city hall because they're not religious and also a big wedding in front of a lot of people stresses Ash out. The squad came and both sets of parents 👍🏽 They prolly had a small party afterwards to celebrate.
3. How many kids do they have, if any? What are they like?
Probably just one...I think they'd either talk about it for a loooooong time or have one on accident haha
4. Do they have any pets?
A big rescue dog, breed undeterminable. :)
5. Who's the stricter parent?
Ash absolutely, somebody has gotta keep everybody in line! Not afraid to go into "Sargent mode" if necessary >:)
6. Who worries the most?
Aiden, but like in a private way where he can't even sleep. The BPD hits and he sees the world as very dangerous. Ash is better at rationalising her worries.
7. Who kills the bugs in the house?
Aiden, bugs don't really bother him, so he probably catches them if he's bored and finds one. Ash isn't afraid of bugs either, but she dislikes spiders. Too many legs :p
8. How do they celebrate holidays?
They'll usually meet up with the rest of the squad and their families! If they can't, Ash likes to keep it lowkey ^_^ Aiden WILL go all out for Halloween tho. And Christmas. And New Year's, and...yeah, they both have different ideas lol.
9. Who's more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?
Aiden pretty much sleeps for like 4 hours every night and gets up at like 5 in the morning just to do crap, so if they don't need to do anything, Ash will call him back to cuddle for a bit. Helps him sleep <3
10. Who's the better cook?
Ash, her parents taught her the basics. She's not a master chef or anything, but she won't set the kitchen on fire like Aiden.
11. Who likes to dance?
Ash is way more passionate about dance (specifically ballet) than Aiden is, but they both like dancing. Sometimes they slow dance at home if they're feeling romantic :)

lolololol fine, twist my arm why don't you, here are my Gabrielle and Imogen thoughts.
Ok, so, one thing I like to turn around in my mind and talk a lot about is how Gabrielle’s moral confidence was shaken after the Rift (for non-Xena-fan followers, this was a series of events that put Xena and Gabrielle at odds and culminated in Gabrielle’s demon-spawn daughter killing Xena’s son, and Gabrielle having to kill her daughter like, twice (neither one stuck)(lol)). She went from having a very strong concept of her own internal moral framework to being unsure and casting about for something she could adhere to in order to regain some sense of knowing The Right Thing To Do. She became even more vulnerable to culty people like Najara and Aiden and Eli, because she was desperately seeking an external scaffolding to hang her morals on because she no longer trusted herself. This lead directly into her misguided pacifism arc, and then into her decision to ultimately put aside that search for her own path in order to follow Xena’s full warrior path, which is really the great tragedy of her character.
Imogen does not reach that point through the same means, of course, but she likewise struggles quite a bit with trusting her own moral sense. She is constantly asking others whether people or actions are good or bad, and second guessing her own actions and worth and motivations. She desperately wants the answers to be easy because they never have been and she is exhausted. She thinks she might be tainted; how can she trust herself to make the right calls? And I think that makes her more likely to both want to believe in authority figures and to be particularly let down by them not being all they’re cracked up to be. Had the Vanguard found her before Laudna, it’s very possible they would have been able to recruit her against her better instincts. I don’t think she would be a true believer and would ultimately rebel against the human cost of the project but without the Hells and Laudna in particular she too would be very much vulnerable to cults.
In both cases, they do actually have strong beliefs and a core desire to help rather than hurt people. But they don’t trust themselves to do it correctly and that gets them in trouble. In both cases, too, the strength of their love is also seeded in this weakness. Gabrielle refused to believe that Hope could be intrinsically evil. Imogen wants so badly for her mother’s actions to come from a place of care. But that lack of self-trust means that when they lean too far into their ability to understand the motives of and have compassion for others, it becomes paralytic instead of balancing.
I hope that Imogen’s arc takes her on a different path than Gabrielle’s; as I said, I think Gabrielle’s ultimate decision to model herself on Xena more fully is a very tragic one. I don’t think she ever quite manages to regain full trust in herself. However, since Imogen’s arc started from a place of self doubt and since that lack of self-worth is the core problem in the Hells generally, I am hopeful that she will develop in the opposite way and ultimately gain a firmer trust in her own ability to do the right thing as best she can.
