There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation
because WHAT are people talking about sometimes

In Sophomore Year, Adaine's nightmare vision of herself is in mourning garments, speaking to her underlying fear that, as an elf, she'll outlive everyone she cares about and have to face forever alone.
In the finale of Junior Year, Aelwyn says that she hopes that she and Adaine can eat ice cream and do magic together forever and Adaine with no trace of insincerity agrees. She still has to face forever, but not alone. Not anymore.

wonwoo lights up in delight as he sees you walk into the kitchen, and immediately is calling out to you when you start to walk away. when you turn, he's holding up his phone, smiling to himself.
"cute." he chuckles to himself. "you look nice."
you roll your eyes. so maybe you look presentable from the waist-up, having changed into a nice shirt so that you could record yourself doing a presentation for your class. this is the exact shit you'd do if you worked from home, too: nice shirt, but still wearing your cozy pajama pants where no one can see it on camera.
"can you turn around?" his eyes crinkle a little when he giggles to himself.
so you throw your arms out, giving him a slow turn so he can take in the entire look. he has a matching pair of pajama pants because they were part of your christmas gift to him, covered entirely in little cats. maybe he'll get them out of the laundry to surprise you when you come back out.
you cross the room after he lowers his phone, leaning in to steal a quick kiss from him. "do you have our daughter?"
wonwoo glances over to where the cat is curled up in her little pet bed for once, snoozing away. "i'll distract her if she starts looking for you," he promises. before you can move too far away from him, he reaches forward to draw you back in for another kiss, longer this time. "i mean it, though. you look nice. you've got this."
he's sweet, and he knows you well enough to know any presentation is going to give you anxiety. "thank you," you say, and draw away from him. with a heavy sigh, you take a few steps back. "time to get this over with."
he's definitely changing into the cat pajama pants when you shut that door.

hc that Dazai made a point of calling Chuuya small when they met because Dazai was used to being the small one.
like, finally there was someone shorter than him. because let’s be real, Dazai was barely taller than Chuuya in Fifteen.
i think people forget how small Dazai was too— not just in height, but also in weight. He was underweight in Dark Era, but in Fifteen & even at present he's barely within the healthy weight range for his height. he was constantly described as a twig in Fifteen, and almost every time he's introduced in the light novels he's called lanky, slender, etc.

it’s just really interesting that you have ryan being so self-aware of the fact that buck and eddie are the worst at relationships with anyone except each other which means the writers definitely know it too, and they still chose to have buck talk about dating with chris.
in the single, first, most impressionable episode that’s supposed to introduce buck, eddie and chris to the abc audience, you have them deliberately choosing buck instead of say, bobby (in terms of people eddie goes to for advice), who has two successful relationships under his belt and constantly gives eddie relationship advice specifically.
you have them deliberately introducing them as a family unit and it’s…a choice…

Listen. LISTEN, the longer I spend in the academic world, I am more convinced that describing Judaism and Jews as a religion/ethnic grope/ethnoreligion is unhelpful outside of Academic circles.
The best way to explain Judaism is using the tribe model. A lot of times Judaism is a community first and a religion second, i.e., your level of religiousness is rarely a thing that alienate you from the community.
Think of other tribes, like the Sámi, Aboriginal Australians, Māori, Yurok, Inuit ect. Each have their own unique religion, but we do not think of them as a religious group, because the tribal identity is more important, and the religion is considered part of the culture, not the opposite.
IMORTANT SIDENOTE: I am aware that many of those tribes, and other tribes have a big chunk of Christians in them, usually more Christians than those who follow the indigenous religion of the tribe. BUT for the sake of discussion, I am equating Judaism to the section that does follow the indigenous religion of the tribe.
So, despite the fact that the religious structures of Judaism is very integral to Judaism, it is partly because of the community based focus of Judaism. The most basic example is the Minyan, the fact that prayer is preferred to be done in a group. Or the fact that the Sader is meant to be a celebrated in a group. and so on.
SO, ethnoreligion is a great academic term, but for outside that world? A tribe is a much better term to explain Judaism.

it’s just the way that the doctor still tragically loves the master despite everything.
the master has destroyed their planet and violated their people in the worst way possible and yet they’re still intrinsically entwined for eternity.
the master is who he thinks about when there’s a chance he may die and the master is who he thinks about when he survives.
missy said “my heart is maintained by the doctor” and i do think that’s mutual. the doctor’s hearts are maintained by the master, they always have been and always will be.
