Y'all I don't see enough posts about this SO HERE WE GO

Shrimad Ramayan is the FIRST TV show that I'm watching religiously/obediently and HAVE NOT MISSED ONE EPISODE

I first saw the promotion for LOOOOOOOONG back, ab mid 2023 i think

Didn't think much of it

New year's Eve rolls by, and my mother and grandma are watching CID and Adalaat- and I sit by for once, being bored

IN THAT ONE TIME OF LIKE FIVE MINUTES

I SEE THIS MAJESTIC AD going "Ram, siya Ram, siya Ram Jai Jai Ram"

Omg they looked so good

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!

I sat down to watch the show from the very first day

I HAVE NO REGRETS

I agree, there's annoying ads in the middle, and what not- BUT ILL PAY THE PRICE

CAUSE HOLY SHIT THIS TV SHOW HAS ME SWOONING

it's gotten to the point where the second its ten minutes before the airing time at least one of my family members call me, no matter wherever the hell I am, and remind me "oi ur show is coming on"

HSHSHDHDHDHDHDHHD

And it's not like it's hindering my productivity no no no, I've begun subconsciously finishing all my work before airing time JUST TO WATCH IT AND AFTER THAT JUST CHILL

I definitely recommend y'all watch it, its- on Sony TV, 09:00 PM on the weekdays, and next day episode reruns next day at 09:00 AM and 07:00 PM :)

ITS ALSO ON SONY LIV SO THERES THAT IF U WANT :D

I KNOW it's not completely true to the whole story but tell me which show ab Ramayan or mahabharat is- but its a great starting point and Sita and Ram's interactions are adorable and it's better than adipurush (a lot of things are better than adipurush but to be fair this is way way way better)

Ok but can we talk about the absolute horror of being watched and monitored 24/7 that the ancients must have had. The citizenship drones being like an Alexa that's constantly following and listening to you (except it's five pebbles and not Alexa lmao). The fucking OVERSEERS. THEY'RE CALLED THAT FOR A REASON. BECAUSE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING THEIR CITIZENS AS WELL AS THE ENVIRONMENT ALL THE TIME. (I would talk about the fact that they all show arti fucking ads as well but honestly idk what else to say about that. Capitalism got yet another society 😔). Imagine YJ pisses off a telepath with a stupid costume so the villain with a habit of telepathically tormenting mfs starts targeting yj by making them hear things they’re afraid of and everyone else’s is like regular run of the mill shit like their family/friends dying or telling them they hate them, sometimes they hear them listing every bad quality they have and every mistake they’ve ever made, they know it’s not still happening but they’ll hear a loved one or a civilian they couldn’t save using their last breath to blame them for their deaths in the middle of the night which is usually followed by the voice that reminds them that ‘they just don’t quite measure up to their peers or predecessors so really, wouldn’t it be for the best if they just disappeared? No one would even notice and if they did, how likely is it that they’d care? What could they possibly be contributing to the world that can’t be done better by someone else?’ And that’s normal for yj but what causes them to lose it is when they start to hear the sound of someone clicking their tongue and humming in disapproval whenever they’re doing something ill advised but they only figure out who fears that sound when Anita loses her shit so they find her and they’re like wtf?? you live like this?? but she’s fucking petrified and muttering to herself

On a sort of lighter note, do you know what this whole situation with the eggs remind me of?

Like, imagine all the eggs were just taken from their homes- their parents- so suddenly they didn't even have time to react, and they were tasked to do or get something for the Federation and now, the eggs are all lost in the woods somewhere lmao.

It's actually kind of sad to think about, because they're just kids and they must really miss their parents, but god, I love that animatic and song and I miss the eggs so so so much, that I can't stop thinking about them!!!😭😭😭
