Is it just me, or has your Mario gotten steadily more buff over time?
AH-
This is true, I won't lie! 🤭
There was a moment where I suddenly became aware that I was highly drawn to the idea of Mario not only being strong, but also robust, athletic and sturdy. It was always important for me to give him a reassuring and protective aura; a sense of both friendliness and stability. But I didn't know how to properly express that in a visual sense yet. Most of all, I wanted Mario to be a figure of gentle strength in a sense that could be felt and recognized. For him to give off a distinctly benevolent and appealing sort of masculine energy. And after some time, I found out that a very efficient way to achieve exactly that was to make his muscles slightly more defined and give him more body mass. ✍️
To me, Mario must at least remotely look like someone who can perform impressive feats of physical prowess and carry a princess nearly twice his height in his arms with complete ease, otherwise the implied vigor and endurance just doesn't feel as believable. Plus, I personally think the extra thickness suits him better. ;D ❤️

hey guys remember like a few days ago when a good chunk of this fandom thought ed and stede weren't going to reunite until like the very end of the season, or at least that they were going to spend a big chunk of the season separated? and then the full trailer dropped and suddenly we got all this footage of them in the same frame interacting and everyone realized how unlikely those predictions are??? and how literally just a tiny bit more detail changed everyone's perspective on things?????
anyway yeah maybe we need to all think abt that for a minute and like. rethink the way we're treating certain theoretical s2 plot points as if they're a given.

it's been more than a month yet thinking about how Neil said season 2 is a bridge to what was supposed to be in the book sequel still keeps me awake at night 'cause the math isn't mathing for me
you see, i can’t see how it was supposed to work, taking into consideration Aziraphale's book personality. i mean, Aziraphale's final s2 decision, in my humble opinion, wouldn’t at all work for his book!version (and radio!version, obviously. I'm still not really sure if it works for me even in terms of his show!version), since book!Aziraphale, how do i put it? yeah, i doubt he’d give a single fuck about the idea of reforming heaven and making it better and stuff. like under no circumstances whatsoever
because — though I might be wrong — I always thought the point of Aziraphale's character is that he doesn’t believe in heaven being right. it's evident from this part of the book when he interferes in a TV program while on a search for a body. he calls heaven propagandistic here and says it doesn't matter who wins, hell or heaven, because humanity loses either way
and it's not, in fact, the first time Aziraphale shows disapproval of heaven and its methods. he has already said himself that hell and heaven are practically the same before here, while discussing their head offices with Crowley
so he knows for a fact that heaven is just as thirsty for blood and cruel as hell. they are not the side of the light. he knows it from the start, and the fact that heaven wants war just as much as hell does is not an insight for him. it just reassures him of what he's known before. and he's quite strong in his beliefs, too
and i just keep trying to figure out how we were supposed to get to book!Aziraphale not only going back there but also taking up an archangel position — and if we ever were, really
i honestly can’t find an answer to this in my head, so i thought i might share it here. i can’t be the only one thinking about this on repeat, and maybe someone else has found an answer or a loophole they’ll want to share so i can find peace again

While on the subject of trauma, do you ever think about how Hob Gadling waited 33 years for Morpheus to show up at the New Inn, and seemed determined to wait even longer if needed even as he was getting dangerously close to the longest he'd ever stayed in the same place, which had awarded him to be drowned as a witch ? And sure, British people no longer publicly drown witches in the year 2022, but that would not stop a traumatised Hob from dreading it. Nor would it stop bigots finding themselves a sudden dislike for a queer man marginalising himself from society just enough that he can fall off the face of the earth without too much trouble from not-publicly do other than drowning him ... What I'm saying is, it was not only incredibly patient and loyal for Hob Gadling to wait 33 years at the New Inn for Morpheus, it was also freaking brave and metal of him, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Me: *asks for a teeny thing to be changed to help me*
The other person: Oh, yeah, absolutely! *kindly does the thing without a sigle hint of being upset or inconvenienced*
Me: Perfect!
Me: Why am I crying?

image id: the meme of a woman holding a man on her hip in one arm and using the other to gesture "I'm watching you" at a third person. the woman is labeled "Me", the man is labeled "People with NPD/Cluster B personality disorders", and the third person is labelled "Ableists/sanists, people who believe in narc abuse". end image id
just saw some people being Like That to people that they claimed were narcissists, so here's your daily reminder that on this blog we support our cluster b besties.
