Transformation Tuesday: October 2009 ➡️ April 2019! . This has been a long journey, starting at 222 in January 2010. Got down to 174, then found myself back in the high 180s-low 190s for a long while. Then I finally hit 200 again, at 206 in January 2017 I said enough and joined @ww. . It worked at first, but I wasn’t fully committed until January 2018 at 196 pounds. Peep that @fitbit cardio fitness! Just moved from 37-41 to 38-42 which I’ve only see that high one other time. . My average resting heart rate is ~55 which is my usual resting heart rate. My resting heart rate is on the athlete side of normal, so it’s lower than most people, due to all my years of long distance running and weightlifting over these past 10+ years. . Regardless of your resting heart rate if you increase your activity levels you will see your resting heart rate drop which in turn will boost your cardio fitness. . Run don’t walk to your nearest protein retailer (or Amazon like me) and grab a case of these NEW @premierprotein Chocolate Peanut Butter shakes. I saw another #ww person post (sadly I can’t recall who) posts RAVE review about these YESTERDAY. I ordered them yesterday before noon - and thanks to being right near a major Amazon hub - got them today before noon.

It tastes like a Reese’s peanut butter milkshake, like I almost cried as I sipped it. It’s going to be so good with espresso, but just drinking it ice fold before or after a workout is going to be magical! Only 2 smart points on 💙

2020 workout calendar is complete! . I’ve been tracking workouts like this (although it’s evolved over the years) since 2014ish. Seeing how many days I’ve workout out in a month or how many days off I’ve taken has also motivated me. . No surprise this year has been my biggest number of workout which is largely made up of walking. For me a walked needed to be least 30 minutes for me to count as a workout since I did tons of little daily dog walks. . 292/366 workout days . 168/292 workout days were made up of walking which ranged from 30 min to 2 hours across the year. Walking has been an core activity since I stepped back from running in 2016, but this was a new level of mileage. I have explored so many of the FANTASTIC paths in my town. So very thankful for all the trails and paths in NoVA/NWDC. . I taught 59 individual classes, most of which were in January and February. . I also used this space to log my @ww blue dot dates which are the days I tracked and stayed in my healthy point range. 186 days of blue dots, in comparing my monthly tally to my weight loss there is no real trend I can see. I would wager it’s the days I didn’t track at all vs the days I went over my blue dot points. So perhaps that is something I will pay more attention to this year. . I truly love having data to look back on. This is where “Measuring Life” came from in January 2010. The past 2 night I’ve had Charley Horses in my calfs wake me up in the middle of the night. Back in 2012 when I was training for my first marathon I often would wake up to a middle of the night Charley Horse cramp. . Exercise in general but also not stretching enough are some contributing factors, also athletes are prone to getting them. While in quarantine I’ve probably logged more miles walking then I have in a while since walking has become my primary form of exercise with Bodypump as a supplement. .
