DC Comics Announces Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle Young Adult Graphic Novels

DC Comics has announced two new young adult graphic novels: Wonder Woman: The Adventures of Young Diana and This Land s Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story.

Wonder Woman: The Adventures of Young Diana hails from Jordie Bellaire and Paulina Ganucheau. The graphic novel is a collection of stories about young Diana originally published in Wonder Woman #770-#779 and #785-#796 and the Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular.

"The world may know her as Wonder Woman, but once upon a time she was Diana, the young princess of Themyscira. Back then, she struggled to find her place on an island deemed paradise by many, but which was, to her, a prison. Trapped in her role as a royal and shielded from the harsh realities of Man’s World, Diana yearns for adventure, or at least a purpose. So when ancient texts portraying her home’s history go missing, she gets both. How far will our hero go to find the texts and the truths they’re hiding?" (DC Comics)

Wonder Woman: The Adventures of Young Diana goes on sale on August 6, 2024.

This Land s Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story hails from Julio Anta, Jacoby Salcedo, and Francesco Segala. The story follows a high school aged Jaime Reyes, who lives in El Paso, Texas. TJaime loves his family, culture, and home. "But lately he’s begun to realize that he and his border community are being used as pawns in an increasingly toxic immigration debate.

The last few months have seen armed troops deployed along the U.S. and Mexico border, manufactured crackdowns at official border crossings, and now, at the community level, a mounting resentment amongst a disaffected and reactionary group who believe they’re being “replaced” by El Paso’s growing immigrant population. And to make matters worse, one of Jaime’s oldest friends, Riley, has bought into the propaganda. What started off as innocent web searches have now led Riley down a path to joining an unabashed hate group with a chapter in El Paso looking to cause some real-world violence.

But Jaime’s problems get even more complicated when he finds an odd bug-like artifact while stargazing. He starts feeling a little different—like there’s another voice in his head pushing him toward his basest instincts. And to make matters worse, he’s been having surreal dreams that show him that the true threat El Paso faces isn’t “illegal aliens,” but actual aliens known as the Reach. In fact, according to his dreams, Jaime is meant to pave the way for the Reach’s impending invasion!" (DC Comics)

This Land s Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story goes on sale on October 1, 2024.

Ex-Pariah Wonder

Ex-lovers Wonder Woman and Pariah Dark Crack pairing Young Pariah Dark looked like a older Danny as Phantom. (think of Gojo, TYBW Toshiro(adult)) Wonder Woman was Pariah Dark's ex-girlfriend, as he was younger 1,000 years ago, and a pretty nice hero. But that changed after he took the Crown of Fire and Ring of Rage, and well, that did go insane and started to change. From his old silver-haired look to Giant with green hair and Tyrant (think of the Ice King Adventure Time for what the Crown did to Pariah), And then centuries were gone, and she didn't think much of her ex other than that he was imprisoned last she heard. But now a cult is trying to summon him, who was still insane, to her world. + So imagine Diana as the cult trying to summon not her ex but has failed badly. As the small boy who looked like the child version of Pariah came out, with the silver hair, green eyes, and his smile, he had the ring of rage on his finger!! Was this Pariah`s child? He would never give away the ring or something similar. But then she saw him turn into a black-haired and blue-eyed boy that looked similiar to her. Did he, while crazy, create the boy? I mean they talked about children and had the clay. But first, take away the ring; she saw what it did to Pariah firsthand. + Danny had been on the run since he stole the ring from Vlad. And I was now in this new place; it was pretty cool to see other heroes. He would find a good place to throw this ring, like the Observants and Clockwork wanted from him. How hard will it be to find a black hole when you have alien heroes here that can help him find one? Vlad would never find it!

Bob Haney Doesn't Know Who Wonder Girl Was Supposed to Be

What Happened?

Imagine it's 1965 and you're writer Bob Haney and you're putting together a team of all of the teen sidesicks of the Justice Leaguers. You've got Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Speedy. You can't use Superboy because at this time, he's just young Clark Kent and is already time-traveling to have teen adventures with the Legion of Super-Heroes. But wait, Wonder Woman is having team-ups with someone called Wonder Girl. Perfect! We'll add her in to the Teen Titans.

Unfortunately, it turns out that the Wonder Girl in those stories is actually also the young version of Wonder Woman, which didn't jive with how the character was written in the 60s Teen Titans stories. So if she isn't a young version of Diana Prince, Wonder Woman - who is Wonder Girl?

As it turns out, that question will plague DC Comics for the next 6 decades. She will eventually get the name Donna Troy and will become subjected to the sort of retcons, unretcons, deretcons, and reretcons normally reserved for characters like Cable or Hawkman. She's been a human orphan raised by Amazons, a catspaw for the Titans of Myth, a magical duplicate of Diana created to be her childhood friend, the combination of all of the pre-Crisis multiversal Donnas, a magical duplicate of Diana created as part of a scheme to usurp her, an embodiment of Fate, and a weapon created out of clay to destroy Diana. Some times she has innate powers, sometimes she gets them from Amazon training and science.

All because Bob Haney didn't bother to look up who this character actually was.

Y/N had took out a group of ten hybrids without breaking a sweat and both vampires were smitten right away

Klaus met Y/N second as he was curious who was the pretty lady his brothers were spending time with

Klaus was surprised of Y/N's power when Finn asked for her help with Daliha

Kol and Rebekah much like Elijah and Finn was smitten at day one

Having such a soft sweet relationship as the Mikaelsons became so soft for Y/N

Y/N waking up to at least two of her lovers in her bed

Y/N giving her every touched starved lovers affection

Romantic dinners and quiet nights at home

Hayley gets jealous of Hope's relationship with Y/N, the young witch sees her as a second mother

Elijah was cleaning up when he found Y/N's League communicator and her supersuit

Elijah brought it up to the other and they talked about asking Y/N about it

Y/N returned home the night, confused seeing her things on a table and them sitting waiting for her

"What is this love?" "I am a vigilante."

They were surprised while Hope was excited asking if she knew Wonder Woman

Y/N telling them stories about her missions and what the team is like

The League coming to visit as they missed Y/N even though she was a part timer

Hope is in awe while Y/N introduced everyone

"Elskan, they are a bit rowdy." "That they are....Bruce and I play parent too many times to count."

Diana getting along with Finn and Elijah the most though Rebekah is a soft spot in her heart

Bruce and Elijah both trade secrets on how to make sure Y/N is taking care of herself

Arthur arm wrestling Kol

The Batboys and Superboys are unknowingly adopted by the Mikaelsons

"Damian? Why are you here?" "Father has lost his right to see me."

Damian has been known to show up at the compound when angry with Bruce so Y/N comes home to the boy asleep on Elijah as he reads or painting with Klaus and Hope

Kon had bonded with Kol since both understood one another

Large Christmases together which Hope is happy cause she got new brothers

A normal life

Shrouded in shadow, 47 stood barefoot and dressed only in his suit trousers at the small, barred window and looked out at the sun slowly rising in the distance. He sipped a cup filled with hot black coffee. It had been two months since the ICA and Providence had fallen under his hand. And now here he was, in a small hotel room in St Petersburg. A free man. Or was he not? After these two powerful organisations had fallen, he and his handler Diana Burnwood decided to live the life of a freelancer. The decision to do so was very much of his own free will, but was he what they call a "free man"?

A normal life. That was what his brother had wanted for himself, but above all for 47.

"And what kind of life is that?" 47 had asked on the deck of the ship they had once travelled on to Sgail to capture the Constant. Grey had smiled at him. "Well, you know. A normal life, like all humans lead. With a normal job, a girlfriend, build a house, plant a tree. That sort of thing." 47 raised an eyebrow. "Sounds exhausting," he replied. Laughing, Grey had put his hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm sure we'd hate it. But at least we'd be free, old friend."

The thought of his brother and of perhaps having disappointed him with his decision to continue with this life choked his throat. He needed some fresh air to clear his mind. 47 put the cup down and began to get dressed. The sun had risen enough by now to bathe the small hotel room in a warm orange colour. 47 chose his usual uniform of a black suit with a white shirt and a red silk tie. To match the Russian winter, he put on a black woollen coat.

As he left the hotel, he took a deep breath. The cool air filled his lungs and the feeling of a knot in his throat, which tightened the longer he thought about his brother, dissipated. He walked a few metres around the block until he reached a small park. Although it was still early in the morning, some children were already in the park, laughing and playing in the snow. Couples were walking through the morning sun, holding hands.

The snow crunched under 47's footsteps. The life he had now chosen was certainly not what his brother had imagined. Grey had wanted a life away from all the death and suffering he had faced all his life. For himself and for 47, but in the end 47 had decided in favour of a life as a killer again. It was the only thing he could do. The only thing he felt good about. Anything else was out of the question for him.

47 looked up. On the meadow in front of him, a young woman was playing with two small dogs. She threw them a ball and the two animals ran after it, their tails wagging happily. She seemed carefree, even though 47 was sure that she also had to carry her baggage. Just like him. Normal life or not.

When she noticed that 47 was looking at her, she smiled kindly. 47 automatically returned with a slight smile and continued to watch as she threw the ball again and the two dogs ran through the snow to retrieve it.

Maybe this thought wasn't so bad after all. This thought of a normal life. A life, where he would probably just walk up to this woman, start a conversation with her and invite her for a coffee. A life where he walks through the park with her and plays with her dogs. He would probably never really let go of his old life. It was his calling. What he was made for. But maybe now was the time to allow other things into his life as a free man.

For you, brother, he thought, before walking slowly up to the woman.
