8 marzo 2024

This week, the Rapid Support Forces claimed to gain control of key trade hub Nyala, the capital of South Darfur. South Darfur has seen 670,000 residents displaced by fighting, making it the second worst affected state behind Khartoum.
This possible turning point in the war comes as rival factions resume peace talks in Jeddah six months after fighting catapulted the country into crisis.
Leaders of international human rights and humanitarian groups have accused global leaders of failing to take action in the face of atrocities in Sudan, where half of the population is food insecure, millions face famine, over 9,000 have been killed and nearly 5 million have been displaced as a result of the conflict.
"Half a year of war has plunged Sudan into one of the worst humanitarian nightmares in recent history," wrote United Nations emergency relief official Martin Griffiths in a statement. "For six months, civilians- particularly in Khartoum, Darfur and Kordofan - have known no respite from bloodshed and terror. Horrific reports of rape and sexual violence continue to emerge, and clashes are increasingly taking place along ethnic lines, particularly in Darfur." @democracynow

Hey guys? Please please share this.
Some of you might have read about the recent changes in Israeli law. It's the beginning of a plan to end our democracy, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
The Israeli people are fighting this.
We have been fighting for the past six months, from the moment the first smell of this filled the air.
This is not only about Israel, Palestinians would be the first to get hurt from this- they have already been. Just look at what happened in Huwara.
We are fighting for them too.
And make no mistake, we are the majority here in Israel. Maybe not everyone is fighting for the same reasons, but the absolute majority doesn't want a dictatorship, especially not one run by a fascist, racist government. (Our percents only go higher if you take the west bank settlers out of the statistics).
We need your help- we have been begging for it.
We have been so, so alone in our fight. Global support would mean so much to this fight, but we have gotten nothing. It's so hopeless to know that no one cares.
So I'm asking you, don't scroll past those articles. This is not another situation to add to your "Israel bad" list. Spread awareness, do literally anything, it would help.
If you care about democracy, or freedom, or women's rights, or LGBTQ rights, or literally just human beings- Stand with the democratic front for a free Israel and a free Palestine
🇮🇱.

Literally every time I hear about a red state doing something in the USA lately:  ...the slow decline of society is speeding up rather uncomfortably right now.

- Virginia Woolf

Some men have no idea about anything that has to do with women,
And most don't know it all.
Every single one of them don't know how it feels.
And as a nonbinary afab, I can say I've experienced and am still experiencing what it is like to be woman. Hell, I'm a 15 year old teenager whose period cramps fucking kill them every month.
Some men--all they know about a woman is that they're a woman.
Some don't know about periods, some don't know about the moods of women during their periods, some don't know how it affects them.
Men don't know how women feel, men don't know how women act, men don't know what women like, men don't know what it is like to have a vagina, men don't fucking know what it's like to be pregnant.
No man, in anyone's right mind, should be given the authority to force a woman or anyone to give birth.
Everyone with a vagina, whether they're a woman or not, understands what it's like to be one. You may not feel like one, and that's fine! We all feel the way we feel, it's completely valid. But menstruation, and female hormones have affected us atleast afew times (or a long time). So, you know exactly what it's like, or used to be like, to be faced with women's issues.
Would you like it if you were raped and forced to give birth? Public case of a 10 year old shortly after the law was enforced: girl got raped, refused an abortion even under the stake of her pre-menstraul life. Wanna hear another? Woman's baby was dead in the womb, threatened her life and made her ill. Refused an abortion, because under this terrible law, if it threatens their life it needs to have almost killed them before they'll even consider an abortion. Because in their minds, woman who want abortions are nothing but murderers.
You need to trust women.
What world is this if the only ones we can trust are men? And the ones I'm talking about are not even trustworthy.
What world is this if we can't trust women, and those who menstraute; those who carry pregnancies?
So your solution--as someone who shouldn't have a say in what happens to a woman's privates or their birth--is a law that causes pregnant people to kill themself attempting homemade abortions, cave under pressure and actually commit suicide, be traumatised from the dreadful experience of being forced to give birth at a young age/by rape at any age; be forced to give birth to a child in which they just don't want to give birth to.
What fucking world is this where you force a person to give birth when you know they don't want to?
We're evolving backwards. We're growing dumber by the minute, and the ones who have sense are being oppressed.
This is why I hate this country.
