After playing Pokémon violet I was inspired to finally work on Vi's story again. Unfortunately, all my plans are still in the 'wouldn't it be cool if this thing happened' but it's fineee (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

SORRY FOR THE DELAY -- here, I can even it out a bit! I originally had this doodle in my drafts because the sweater was so cute and I have no idea where I was going with it or why Cream is there (so I just slapped on some lines today)

I just realized something for cream in hisui, they're mechanical in a sense, they have emojis on their face and I've mentioned them texting on their face before... So...

Cream doesn't get an arc phone because cream becomes the arc phone, they just get to temporarily look really cool and arceus inspired when they have to use it because they gotta turn into it real quick, also Includes new features such as making calls!

(the rest of what cream is going to say is "have my parents finished talking about why I'm here and why they're angry?" Arceus sent cream to hisui and every unown who claimed parentship was on its ass like that)

Also bonus! Volo's reaction to this because you bet they will casually call god before the first noble

If I don't keep procrastinating then at some point I'm going to make a Minecraft cream skin. It fits them, I can imagine it I could probably do it but my procrastination is very strong so if I win the battle that will exist, cream in Minecraft breaking the game, they would use see through hacks and then lie about it despite having 50 diamonds, that is if they don't just use creative mode

CREAMS IN MINECRAFT! I PUT THEM ON THE SKINDEX AND EVERYTHING! mainly because I didn't know how to get the images otherwise, but now you can go use glitches in Minecraft while looking like your favourite glitchy W.I.P! I don't really play Minecraft anymore but it fits cream too much to not do it

Been thinking a lot about characters who don't have tragic/complicated/lore-filled Backstories cause I just finished Neverwhere and Richard is just like some guy. Neil never explains why he's special and he can see door, he just does.

Tolkien never explains why Gandalf chose Bilbo. I don't even think we ever find out what career Bilbo had before going on his journey. He has no Backstory at all.

Rose Tyler was just a totally normal girl. So was Arthur Dent. So was... Another example, sorry I'm tired, I already gave you four.

Look, I'm not saying elaborate/tragic/mythic Backstories are bad, my WIPs are chock full of them, I just think writblr sometimes acts like they're mandatory and they don't have to be.

#One of my characters has a Backstory so dickensianly tragic that other characters joke about it (he does not like this) #One of my WIPs I pantsed so hard that none of the protagonists had any Backstories bc none of them were in it til they walked onto the page #It was really fun. Like they had backgrounds but that's not the same. #God poor Axl maybe his Backstory is too excessive. That whole WIP is a little Backstory heavy.
