Weekly Tag Wednesday Thursday
Thank you @darlingian for creating this week’s game. Thanks for the tag @michellemisfit ! seems like fun.
Which character from any media would you like to have as a father?
Sean Maguire from Good Will Hunting (i.e., Robin Williams's character). Maybe not a very exciting or fun answer, and there's probably a lot of reasons to not pick him, but he just seems to be an extraordinarily good man who wants to help people get to a better place in their own lives, who is trying his hardest to get through the day to day, made some mistakes, loved his wife very much, and can make people who are really going through it still manage to laugh and see the world in a new perspective.
If money, laws, time, and effort were no object, what animal would you want to have?
Dragon is a hell of a good answer @michellemisfit, but if money and time and help were no object but I think I'd be intimidated by that (also I wouldn't know what to feed it!) I think I'd want either a highland cow (because once I got to pet one and it licked me and followed me around and I loved him) or a horse, because I think they're neat.
What is your Chinese takeout order?
General Tso's Chicken, crab rangoon if they have it, steamed spring rolls.
What's your favorite emoji?
👍. it's versatile. I often use it like this: 👍👍.
Would you rather have a library, greenhouse, or home theater in your house?
I was going to say library, but honestly? I might pick a greenhouse. A place that's filled with plants that I can go listen to music to even in wintertime and be warm and surrounded by nature? I think I'm going to have to pick the greenhouse.
What childhood tv show do you think of the most fondly?
Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Power Puff Girls, and the old Pokemon tv show with Brock, Misty, and Ash.
What was your tumblr like when you first joined?
I had a shared computer with the entire house as a kid, so I did not have a tumblr then. I only saw it occasionally because I was a nerdfighter and saw fishingboatproceeds (and heard about the drama of that later). It wasn't until a couple years ago that I got a tumblr, so, not all that different to now. My tumblr was a pitiful attempt at being a writing blog, but I got more interested in fandom pursuits instead. Some things have stayed the same, though, like having an obscure icon lol.
What clothing style do you love but don't feel compelled to replicate yourself?
Dark feminine academia. Black ribbons in the hair, the plaid pleated skirts with the ripped nylons or the smoke color pleated pants, the black mary janes, the cranberry or bourbon or navy colored sweaters with the collared shirt poking out underneath, the neat dark nail polish, the dark lipped makeup. I always think it looks really cool, but a) a ribbon is going to just become a mess in my hair, b) that particular brand of feminine style and color palette rarely looks good on me, and c) seems like a lot of freaking effort that I'm not willing to put in.
If you were plopped into a fictional world, which one would you know the layout of the best?
I know the Legend of Zelda: BOTW map pretty well. The Glade in the Maze Runner is pretty simple so I think I'd know it pretty well, but I do not want to be there lmao.
What is your favorite piece of art?
This is a really hard question, um. I do love art, my brain provides things like Claude Monet or seaside paintings, but I'm going to be honest, I'm always more enchanted by the architecture of things and places -- I love to do "urban hiking". One of the most amazing places I ever got to explore was Radio City Music Hall in New York City. I learned a lot about why they designed the interior areas the way they did, and it was just such an amazing experience.
Do you have a water bottle? what does it look like?
Yes! I have a yellow one with a bunch of stickers of places I've been.
What fanfic trope is a quiet fave?
It's not even quiet for me -- character A is injured and character B patches them up. I love it.
Do you carry a daily bag? what does it look like? what's the weirdest thing in it?
I've got two. A burgundy faux-leather-looking bag for when I need to carry a bunch of stuff and look professional, such as files, a water bottle, my laptop, and other personal belongings. Otherwise I have an old thrifted purse made of green corduroy and a button with an engraved hummingbird on it that perfectly fits my laptop and my journal and one book. Attached to it is a small pouch I was given by a friend that I put my headphones case into.
If you had to ship Mickey with another Gallagher, who would it be?
I'm a fan of enemies to lovers, lol, so I would probably explore a Mickey/Lip dynamic. Also the amount of sarcasm and actually the frightening capabilities the two would have together would be fascinating.
What is a fanfic trope you didn't expect to like and then very much did?
I actually love post-sex scenes, particularly like aftercare scenes. I was not expecting that.
Do you think s11 Mickey can still carry s11 Ian?
Yup. I kind of think Mickey would make a show of it every time Ian feels weird about his own body, he would pick him up and show Ian he's still his lumbering ginger boy.
Who got custody of the killing bat when they sold the house?
@lingy910y's Mickey and Carl fighting over the bat is GOLD, but I also see Ian quietly grabbing the baseball bat and handing it to Debbie while they're arguing for actual purposes of "I want you to have this and stay safe wherever you are."
I am pretty sure everyone I am familiar with in the fandom has already been tagged, but just in case, I'll add @callivich ! if you've already been tagged my apologies -- and if you haven't been tagged, then by all means, see this as an open tag and go right ahead. <3

Warmth
Info: Inspired by @pokewooloo Blizzard Headcanons. Our dear fire gym leader really does not do well with the cold. Gender neutral reader.
Wintertime in the Galar region was always a lovely season, the snow was usually light and fluffy, the temperatures not too terribly cold, unless you were in Circhester that seemed to drop to near frigid. It would be your second such time experiencing it since moving to Motostoke and the first with your loving boyfriend, but you were learning that he was not quite a fan of it as the days pass by. Overall you could understand it, he was the fire type gym leader after all and fire types did get a bit sluggish in the cold.
It truly set in, though, when the first thick snow covered the city and you would wake to him still in bed with you. His nose buried into your hair where he spooned you from behind, but how he breathed you knew he was awake. The only other times he would stay like this were if he was not feeling well so as you carefully turned over in his arm you would give a worried look, “Morning handsome, how are you feeling?” you ask as your hand came to his forehead to check for a fever only to be met with a grumble and his face burying to your neck.
“I’m not sick, Y/n” He assure you, knowing what was going through your mind and he would press a chaste kiss where his lips lay, “It’s just too slippery and cold to go out for my usual jog, I will have to start working out at the gym for the season” You could hear the huff in his tone, knowing well how he liked to go for his runs around the city and in the wild area, sometimes joining him yourself if you felt energetic enough. You did have to hold in a chuckle at how pouty he seemed about it, though, instead giving him a squeeze and pressing a kiss to his head.
“Well, I am not complaining if it leads to more morning cuddles like this” you tease him gently before you would be shifting to get him to look at you, pressing a good morning kiss to his lips once he had, “Now what would my grumpy boyfriend like for breakfast?” this time indeed giving a small laugh at the scowl it earned you before you were both getting up to get ready for the day. As much as you wanted to stay in bed he did have a gym to run and you had a shift at the Pokemon Center, with how many people came through Motostoke, Nurse Joy really could not keep up on her own.
So as once breakfast was made and enjoyed you both would bundle up and head out for the day, you noticing how your man would huddle down into his coat and it made you frown a bit. Was there something you could do about it? As you parted ways at the corner with a kiss you would be thinking about it, getting to work soon after and checking in with Nurse Joy. Luckily the day would seem to be a slower one and your shift would pass by easily enough, a gym challenger coming in at one point having lost so you knew Kabu would be in a slightly better mood…as much as he denied enjoying winning you knew he was proud of his pokemon when he did.
As usual you would get done first so you would head downtown to pick up a few things when you would see it. The seasonal shops and stands had set up and there was one selling handmade Wooloo wool products. Last year you had picked up a hat for yourself and it was on your head again that very moment as it was still warm as could be, but now something in a shade of soft orange had caught your eye. Looking it over you would be nearly beaming as you purchased it, thanking the woman immensely before you were going about the rest of your errands.
Getting home about an hour later you would begin work on dinner, humming to yourself happily and just putting the slightly spiced curried potatoes in bowls when you heard the door open and quickly close. Mutters of the temperature reaching your ears you would soften as your man came into the kitchen, his face a bit pink as it warmed up. Coming to you he would pull you into a kiss before helping you finish setting out dinner, thanking you of course for cooking once again before you were settling in and catching up on your days.
All in all you were pleased to hear his day had been fairly good and just concluded the temperature was the only thing fouling his mood so as the dishes were put to the sink to wash you would go and get what you had purchased. Before he could start cleaning up, as he usually did the dishes since you cooked, you would call him into the living room. Seeing his brow arch as he caught sight of you on the couch with the bag you pat the seat next to you, “Just come sit, dishes can wait” you encourage, handing him the bag soon as he had which confused him even more.
“Open it before you protest I got you something” as you knew full well he would say you never had to get him anything be it holidays, birthdays or whenever. Giving you a slight glower for cutting him to the chase he would do as you wish, undoing the tissue paper that was in the bag as well before blinking at the item he pulled out. It was a Wooloo wool scarf, soft orange with hints of red and just holding it he could feel how it would hold in the warmth that so quickly seemed to get sapped from him. For a moment you were beginning to worry as he just stared at it, worried he didn’t like the color or that you were picking on him or something.
All those thoughts soon gone as he carefully wrapped it around his neck and the smile crept onto his face, burying his nose in it a moment before you were letting out a squeak as he nearly pounced. Pressing you into the couch as his lips were on your own, warm and the happiest you had felt them in days. Pulling back to breathe his nose nuzzle your own as he whispered thanks and you would hum against his lips as you kissed him again, “You are welcome love, though I do know other ways to warm you as well.

I’m gonna start my own AU 2/4
This is just a get to know them type of thing before I start writing the stories. I’m thinking of making it as a continuation of my first story that I posted here. The one were the reader ends up with Sabo.
all things for this series will be tagged as #modernlivingau
Sleeping position
Luffy- splayed out like a starfish. Moves a lot in his sleep.
Chopper- soldier, stomach down and hand under his pillow.
Usopp- on his back, one leg up other stretched out and arms open.
Nami- loose fetal position
Zoro- a hand on his stomach other under his head, one leg bent the other straight.
Sanji- starts off by sleeping on his side with a hand under the pillow end up in a fetal position.
Brook- on his back, both hands under the pillow
Jinbei- soldier on his back
Robin- soldier on her stomach
Franky- starfish
Obsession since childhood
Luffy- really got into soccer thanks to Coby.
Chopper- medicine to help his sick adoptive father because doctors couldn’t find what was making him sick. He died when Chopper was in high school. (Chopper ended up pursuing the field to not have the same thing happen to somebody else.) loved reading comics about superheroes and had a collection. Loves Dark Horse Comics and Marvel.
Usopp- anything creative (i.e. drawing, painting, origami, building replicas, resin, etc...)
Nami- fashion, has a collection of fashion magazines and has started collecting vintage jackets.
Zoro- superhero movies and different types of fighting styles which is what later got him interested in kickboxing
Sanji- learning to cook so he could make his mother who ended up bedridden good meals for the rest of her days. (he didn’t know she was sick until after she got bedridden) he ended up not pursuing cooking.
Brook- trading card. Any of them. Pokemon, Digimon, baseball he didn’t care he just wanted them. Mainly because he saw that other kids were really into them and he thought that if he emulated them then he could make more friends, but no one wanted to hang out with him because the family business was mortuary work.
Jinbei- animal, he had a lot of pets as a kid, still does.
Robin- history, wildlife, books. She has a collection.
Franky- cars, has a collection of toy model cars.
Strange habits
Luffy- other than picking his nose all the time he also takes food off of other people’s plates without asking, no matter who it is.
Chopper- listens to rock/jazz instrumentals while studying.
Usopp- when sorting out his thoughts he talks out loud to himself but feels embarrassed if he finds out someone was listening in on him.
Nami- has a small weather kit in her yard, whenever asked what she’s doing by passersby she says something ridiculous. (i.e. praying to the old gods or defeating the sun a weather prediction at a time.)
Zoro- weaves things when stressed out. Usually has some plastic strings on him to make simple four-way key chains. (scoubidou, I think its called.)
Sanji- hums and sings to himself, immediately shuts up hen someone comes in.
Brook- OCD about his instruments. Needs them nice and tidy, no one else can touch them. He polishes them and cleans them routinely.
Jinbei- pretends his animals talk back to him, gives them weird voices too. Though he doesn’t do it in front of people.
Robin- tells morbid jokes even in inappropriate times and even if there was no one there.
Franky- other than wearing shorts, even in the wintertime, he is way too friendly and will approach anyone that is in need of help without a second thought.
Favorite warm-weather activity
Luffy- soccer and go-karts
Chopper- staying indoors and going to the pool. (he really hates the heat, but the pool is bearable with friends.)
Usopp- soccer with Luffy and painting scenery.
Nami- window shopping and hanging out with friends.
Zoro- hiking and hanging out at the pool. Mainly with Chopper.
Sanji- barbecuing
Brook- sets up near a peer or a  city corner and plays his instruments. He doesn’t do it for the money just for the love of music and anyone with a mourning soul searching for companionship.
Jinbei- gives swimming lessons
Robin- hiking
Franky- driving around, windows down and music blaring.
Favorite cold-weather activity
Luffy- campfires, making s’mores
Chopper- snowboarding if there’s enough snow or looking at the frozen and still nature.
Usopp- making his famous hot cocoa for people, movies and snuggling
Nami- absolutely hates the cold, will do anything to get out of it.
Zoro- hiking, going for runs, campfires
Sanji- doesn’t particularly like the cold but at least he can practice making hot drinks and soups.
Brook- spending time with people he cares for. The band he used to be in crashed because of a snowstorm during a tour and all the members died, being with others keeps his mind from wondering. He doesn’t hate the cold but would rather not be out in it if can be helped, though there are times that he goes out just for the melancholy.
Jinbei- indoors, probably hibernating sleeping
Robin- having a hot drink while reading
Franky- other than stubbornly putting on something other than shorts, at home working on a project

10:07 am. 19th of december, 2019.
Tumblr media
he’s up.
he was asleep for... what time did he pass out? rotom isn’t in his phone, he’s alone in his room; his pokemon know how to care for themselves well, they must have wanted to let him get some rest alone. his phone unlocks to a message he didn’t finish typing, seemingly having fallen asleep partway through. it looks like a direct follow-up to the last message he’d sent, which was at...
7:07 pm. on the 17th.
raihan slept for exactly 39 hours.
[below the cut: depiction of a PTSD episode that involves dissociation and intrusive thoughts. very brief mentions/implications of self harm, injury, and violence.]
his sleep was... it was... he guesses it was adequate, kind of. no nightmares.
no nightmares, but that’s not to say it was pleasant.
he feels awful and tired, despite how long he slept. ... he wonders if this is ■■■ ■■■■■■ ■■■■■ ■■■■ ■■ ■■■■■ ■■  ■■■ ■■■■■ ■■■■. ■■■■ ■■ ■■■■■ ■■■ ■■. he hopes not.
he drags himself out of bed groggily, and parts the blinds keeping his room dark and isolated to take a peek outside.
snow.
thick snow. two feet of it, at least.
his stomach churns. he isn’t sure if it’s the sight beyond his window or how long it’s been since he’s had anything to eat or drink.
he’s too tired to look away. he doesn’t want to. his brain forces him to look. to watch. to see. to ■■■■■■■■.
the nausea doesn’t even compare to the pain in his chest. it’s excruciating. images of childhood snowball fights and wintertime fun are cruelly interspersed with ■■■■■■ ■■... ■■■■. it’s at its worst when they combine.
the emotional agony leads to the physical. there’s no medicine he can take like he could if he had sprained his ankle.
he finally manages to draw away from the window. someone might see him. he’s barely a pair of crying eyes through a gap in the blinds, but even that is too much. something is close to escaping. he holds a hand to his mouth instinctively, slowly making his way into the bathroom.
it’s not the nausea.
he can't say her name.
if he says her name, she’ll come to see him.
he can’t say her name.
when she was still here... whenever he said her name, even if at first she protested, she would come. she'd always come running. she'd always, always follow him wherever he went, whenever he asked.
she deserves her rest.
he can't say her name and have her come all the way down from heaven just to watch her big brother cry.
he'll be fine.
just enjoy yourself up there, ■■■.
that's really... all he could ever ask of her. to just be happy. please, god, let her be happy.
deep breaths.
just take some deep breaths.
it's all fine.
he's fine.
... he's always fine.
it's her that he wishes were fine. her, that he wishes were alive.
he wishes he could have taken her place.
if one of them had to die, he doesn't understand why the fuck it had to be her.
she didn't deserve that.
she deserved life.
and that was cut far too short.
she deserved the life he's living.
■■■... you could have... leaned on me. i wish i had lied to you. i wish i told you 30 31 31 31 30 31 30 30 20 30 31 31 30 31 30 30 30 20 30 31 31 30 30 30 30 31 20 30 31 31 31 30 31 30 30 20 30 31 31 30 31 30 30 31 20 30 31 31 30 30 31 30 30 20 30 31 31 30 31 30 30 31 20 30 31 31 30 30 31 30 30 20 30 31 31 30 31 31 31 30 20 i'm so fucking stupid. why didn't i 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 73 6f 72 72 79 why did i 01101001 01101000 01100001 01110100 01100101 01101101 01111001 01110011 01100101 01101100 01100110 01101001 01101000 01100001 01110100 01100101 01101101 01111001 01110011 00110001 00111000 00110010 01100101 01101100 01100110 01101001 01101000 01100001 01110100 01100101 01101101 01111001 01110011 01100101 01101100 01100110 why didn't i .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- . .. .-- .. ... .... .. - .-- . .-. . -- .
... deep breaths, deep breaths.
look in the mirror. focus on the raihan in the glass. i could break him, shatter him. cathartic. messy. but the one standing right here won't break. he'll bleed when the glass splits his skin, but he's smart. the only one broken will be the man in the reflection; the lesser raihan. people can spot a cut on a wrist, but no one'll know you crushed your own reflection into a fine powder when it looks perfectly normal in all the mirrors that exist outside your home.
you. you there.
the sad, useless bastard staring me in the eye. thinking too much about everything, pitying yourself like a selfish asshole.
acting like this is useless. thinking like this is useless. you're fine, raihan. you're never not fine. quit fucking whining about your dumbass feelings. you're alive. be grateful for it, you stupid motherfucker.
it's going to happen again if you aren't careful. you fucking idiot.
just suck it up.
let them lean on you even if you're about to collapse. you won't collapse, anyway, so what does it matter? better you than them.
they all deserve happiness and health.
he'll be useful. he'll be helpful. he'll fix their problems. lean on him. he can handle it for you. he's fine. he's always fine. he's always strong. he's reliable. lean on him. please. if they stand on their own, they might trip.
they might fall, and hurt themselves.
they might get hit by a car.
they might get kidnapped.
they might get murdered.
they might get eat■n a■■ve i■ th■ wi■■e■■■ss.

Survey #199
“mama, just killed a man; put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he’s dead.”
Who is the nicest person you’ve ever met? I dunno, I've truly met so many. How about the meanest? Literally my former best friend, all things considered. I too often ignored her overwhelming ratio of bad versus positive traits. She was an absolute witch when entirely unnecessary to most she met, and even to those she did like, she could be extremely rude and just. Yeah, mean. Do you prefer sugar cookies or peanut butter cookies? Hmmm, probably sugar. Chocolate chip cookies or Oreos? Chocolate chip. What is on your mouse pad? I don't have one. Who was the last person to yell at you? Mom. Why did they yell at you? I don't recall, I just know it was her. What was the last thing you spoke to your mom about? I can't remember. It was as she was leaving for work and nothing major. Where was the last place you took a train to? Never been on a train. What is your favorite sleeping position? What about sitting? Sitting, idk. But I sleep like, kinda on my stomach but twist to my side with my arms positioned up like a fetus' or something. My legs are just kinda just splayed out or bent a bit beside each other. Woolf wrote in her essay Street Haunting: “When the desire comes upon us to get street ramble … get up we say: ‘really I must buy a pencil’, as if under cover of this condone we could gratify safely in the greatest pleasure of town life in wintertime – rambling the streets of London.”
In fact she is one of many novelists who have advocated the aimless go for inspiration, who also include William Wordsworth and Charles Dickens.
So your first enormous novel may be just a ramble away from being dreamed up.

A few deep breaths and strains will boost your dissemination and help to wake you up, NHS Choices advises.
Stretching your legs, neck and limbs will also facilitate, but it’s also important to make sure you are sitting properly at your desk, and not as pictured above.
A properly conformed chair will allay the strain on your lower back, and your screen should be at attention level.

Catching pokemon entails burning calories, with customers – known in the game as trainers – walking anywhere between one and six miles in order to hatch one poke-egg.
Such is the notoriety of the game that swine shelters in America are even promoting users to tread a bird-dog while they play.
The Muncie Animal Shelter in Indiana made a shout-out on its social media websites looking for Pokemon Go actors to volunteer to saunter some of the shelter’s dogs.
Matt Hoffman – a professor at A& M College of Nursing in Texas – has spoken of the health benefits of video games. “There’s no doubt about it, I am employing more as a result of playing video games, and I am experiencing it, ” he told sciencedaily.com.
