TTM OC Fashion Posts: Winifred Igalls

Seeing as I have made these for the main characters of my own stories, I thought I would finally work on the fashion posts for my @thethreemages’s characters~ :D Been meaning to get to these for a while, but I hope you enjoy this first one with Winnie^^

Winnie’s style is a pretty casual and comfy one, not too fancy but still with a cute flair. Long sweaters, oversized sweater cardigans, cropped short-sleeve cardigans, plain undershirts, simple long-sleeve shirts, ruffle short-sleeve tops, tank-tops, leggings, jeggings, jean shorts with floral embroidery on the pockets, short-sleeve, knee-length simple dresses, and flowy spaghetti-strap rompers. Her style is usually modest and covered, but when it is hot outside or she is dancing she tends to show a little more skin to be more comfortable, or if she wants to have a fun day around the city when she’s not working. For footwear, she mainly wears comfortable boots whether knee or ankle-length, with her owning a couple pairs of sneakers for dancing and flats, whether ballet, simple ones, or strapped ones with short heels for more formal outfits.

For colors, she mainly wears warm colors, with an exception of blue for her jeans. Her most favorite color is orange, with her preferring it in brighter or ‘burnt’ shades, though she also likes light or bright yellows, peach, golds, orange-ish browns, and white. She also has a soft-spot for dark reds and maroons, as those colors subconsciously remind her of her “late” mother. Doesn’t like how gray looks on her, and while she doesn’t usually like wearing black aside from shoes, she once had a fantasy of dressing gothic for a day. Usually prefers soft materials for extra comfort but does have some sweaters with nice textures. Growing up in the poorer end of middle-class, most of her clothes were bought from thrift stores or the clearance racks of department stores, but as she is saving up her own money, she plans to put some aside for getting some nicer pieces for herself.

For accessories, she is not super big on them, but she has a few. All the jewelry she owns is usually in gold, with simple necklaces and bracelets, but a lot of her jewelry also incorporates floral motifs, mostly just sunflowers such as her sunflower stud earrings. She also owns a small collection of belts, usually in brown or white colors, and she commonly uses these to cinch in some of her baggier outfits. As her father gifted her a second mana stone upon graduation, she commonly wears that one as a decorative belt buckle, with her first mana stone usually worn as a simple drop necklace.

For her hair, it is a bit long, just reaching to her elbows, and it is mostly straight but it does curl a little at the ends. She wears it down most often, but when she is working she’ll tie it up in a simple bun, and sometimes when she is out-and-about she put her hair in a low ponytail or pigtails. Had a bit of acne in her young teenage years, but she does make sure to wash her face every night and morning to avoid getting any major breakouts. Not that big into wearing makeup, since she both doesn’t normally have the time or skill for it and she is not sure if she would even look good with any on. If she does wear any, it would only be for formal events or special occasions, with her looks consisting of clear foundation, clear lip-gloss, and simple but bright orange eyeshadow. Doesn’t usually get the chance to get her nails done professionally and she is quite messy when it comes to applying her own polish, but when she does she likes to keep them short with simple orange or yellow polish, but sometimes she likes to get cute little sunflower designs. Also not a big fan of perfume, but she does like floral-scented bodywashes and lotions.

A little gift for @littlechaoticwitch, of a friendship-themed moodboard of our @thethreemages OCs, Lyra and Winnie! :3 These two’s friendship dynamic is so precious to me, with Lyra being like a sister figure to Winnie and her in comparison bringing out Lyra’s nicer side, plus them both having a mutual love for dancing and bonding over that sounds so cute too~ I hope you like it! ^w^

Tattoos and Piercings: TTM OCs

I do not know if I have made it as obvious here or not, but I am a huge fan of piercings and tattoos, especially with the cool jewelry combinations you can do or the story behind a tattoo! As someone who has several of both, I find it so much fun seeing them on others, and with the subject of OCs, just seeing what they would mean or symbolize for them, as you can learn a lot about a character with them in ways that may not have been so obvious before.

After making some headcanon posts for some of the @thelostrainbowthenovel, @spooksverse-asks and @hueshiftersofficial characters so far, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at doing some for the characters I created for @thethreemages! I haven’t thought about these ones as much besides Colden, but I still had fun thinking about these concepts and I hope you enjoy! :3

- Winifred Igalls

. For piercings, Winnie only has her lobes pierced once

. She has never been the biggest fan of needles growing up, so she has not really felt the urge to get anything else done

. Plus, even if she wanted to, she is not really sure if she would be able to pull anything else off and would most likely only stick with getting her ears done

. Same thing goes for tattoos, she was not sure if she would be able to handle getting one done so she holds off on it for a while

. Though one day when she is a little older(around early-mid-twenties), after enough encouragement from those like her brother she eventually gets something done

. This being a fairly big piece of sunflowers on her left shoulder that spill onto her back, upper-arm, and collarbone a little bit(like in the ref)

. She gets this done as sunflowers are her favorite flower, and she liked the location

. She is not sure if she would get anything else done(besides maybe a couple small/minimalist ones), so for the moment she is perfectly content with just her sunflowers

- Colden Igalls

. For piercings, Colden only has his lobes pierced once

. He usually just wears simple black studs, though will often wear ones with cuffs or any earrings his girlfriend makes for him

. He’s fine with just those, though he might be open to getting a couple cartilage/helix ones in the future

. As for tattoos, he has a few

. His first one is of two small, blue snowflakes located on his lower-back near the left side

. He gets these done on a whim one day, as he came across a tattoo parlor that was doing walk-ins on a night that he had a rather bad argument with his dad, so he thought “why not?” and went in to get one as a way to kill time before going back home

. He had just that one for a while, but in time he gets a few other ones

. one being of flames taking up most of his left upper-arm, as a tribute piece to his “late” mother

. Another of a sunflower, as a dedication and “thank you” to his sister for always sticking by him through everything in life, this being on the inside of his right forearm

. And finally one of dandelions blowing in the wind located on his left shoulder blade, this being a dedication piece to Jena, as a small way for him to show his appreciation for all she has done for him and for being a “light” in his life during his darker moments(and for hope, healing, and strength)

. He doesn’t have any other tattoos besides these ones at the moment, but he is open to getting more in the future

- Lucian + Titaia Igalls (Combined these two into one for simplicity)

. Out of the two, Lucian only has one tattoo and no piercings, while Titaia had both her lobes pierced and three tattoos

. Growing up in a poor area of Tydas Lucian’s family never really had enough money to get any piercings or tattoos, so that combined with them not really fitting with his family’s aesthetics, he never wanted to get anything done growing up

. However, some time after losing his wife, he eventually gets her name tattooed in a small font on his back, as a way of honoring her and showing the loyalty he still had for her even as she’s gone

. Titaia on the other-hand, came from a slightly better background than her husband and had more of an interest in piercings and tattoos compared to him

. For piercings, all she got done before her ‘passing’ was double lobes, though she might have gotten a third set if she could

. For tattoos, she had three, all rather small and simple

. Her first one was an anchor on the outside of her left ankle, to remind herself to stay grounded and for hope of a more stable life from her more rambunctious and rebellious years

. Her second was a simple flashlight on her right wrist, that she had gotten done a little after she married Lucian

. Her third and last one was of a simple flame to represent her passion and magic, located above her sternum on her chest

. Had she not ‘passed’ she would have definitely gotten a few more tattoos when she could, one idea would have been dedicated to her children(her two current ones, plus the couple more she would have had with her husband)

- Marian Blakeley

. Growing up poor and homeschooled most of her life by her adoptive mother, Marian did not really get to have anything done till she was an adult and on her own

. She did get her lobes pierced for the first time at 13 as a birthday present from her mother, though

. Once she turned 18 and got to explore more of New Grayle City on her own, and observe others more around there, she got to explore more of her personal style

. For piercings, she got a second set of lobes, a tragus, and a rook for each ear, along with her navel

. For tattoos, she currently has 3, all(including her piercings) done when she had the money after being paid for her maid job at the palace

. Her first one is a simple heart outline, under her right boob

. Her second is a rose, on her sternum

. Her third is a fox, on the back of her neck

. She just has the three for now but would be interested in potentially getting more in the future, one idea being something dedicated to her mother

- Jesse Ikari

. Jesse does not have any piercings, and only has one tattoo

. As he was kept pretty secluded with his family for a majority of his life, he never really felt like getting either before

. Though, he has briefly entertained the idea here-and-there of what it would be like if he was covered in multiple piercings and tattoos

. As for his tattoo, he just has a simple one of a cactus, located on his back between his shoulders

. He got it done when he was 25, originally not going to get one, but then thought that he would just get one

. He chose a cactus as tending to his plants has been fairly therapeutic for him in his adult life, and it is a calling back to his mother’s favorite plants having been succulents and cacti, as she also inspired him with her own pastime of caring for plants when she was alive

. He has not made plans to get any other tattoos, though he has been considering maybe getting at least one sleeve sometime, though he wants to think it over for a long time before he potentially goes through with it

- Jadyn Ikari

. In contrast to her brother, Jadyn has a few different piercings but also only has one tattoo

. A fan of the asymmetrical/mix-match look, she mainly only wears one long piercing for her first set of lobes, with the other one either just being a simple stud or even no earring there at all

. In addition to those, she also has double lobes and three sets of cartilage/helix on each ear

. As for her tattoo, she gets it shortly after her 18th birthday

. It’s of a simple lightning storm, to represent both her magic types(electric + storm), located on her right ankle

. She would consider getting some more in the future, but has to think about what she would like first

- Cyrus Aelius

. For piercings, Cyrus has his lobes pierced once with small gold hoops, and a small, gold nose stud on his right nostril

. As for tattoos, he has a full sleeve on his right arm

. It is of different celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, and stars, along with various different constellations and the planets

. He gets it done during the years he was working towards his phd, as he was getting so close to his dream of becoming an astronomer

. At the moment, he is currently content with just his sleeve

- Aisling Vue

. Aisling has several piercings and tattoos

. For piercings she has double lobes and two sets of cartilage/helix on each ear, a septum and left nostril hoop, philtrum, and navel with dangling jewelry

. Besides the navel one all her piercing jewelry are quite simple, though she does like wearing chunky hoop earrings

. As for tattoos, they are primarily located on their under-boob area, arms, and lower-legs

. For their arms, they are full sleeves that spill a little on top of the hands, collarbone, and shoulder-blades, a mixture of the first two references in being simple flowers with some mandala-inspired elements added in

. For their lower-legs, they are symmetrical to each other, following a similar design as their arms(a mixture between the 2nd and 3rd tattoo refs), primarily just on their shins but also spilling onto the feet just a little bit

. She is interested in getting more tattoos someday, the back and chest being the main locations she is thinking about getting tattooed next

Next up with the updated Igalls references we have Colden, Winnie’s older brother! Originally had this sketched at the beginning of this year around the time I did the previous Lucian piece, but didn’t get around to finishing up till a few days ago. I hope you guys enjoy~ ❄

- Colden Igalls(20) is the older brother to Winifred, an ice mage, and currently a traveling mage within Jena Ito's group. At the beginning of his life, things were pretty peaceful. He lived in Tarrin, Everes with both his parents and little sister Winnie, and at his young toddler age he would just enjoy spending time at his Grandma's or hanging out with his sis at his dad's shop while waiting for his mom to get done with work. Yet sadly, this happy situation would not last as one of Tarrin's deadly fires broke out one night, burning down several buildings including his dad's shop. His mom had been one of the brave souls to help control it and put it out, but after everything had calmed down she was nowhere to be seen, and after some searching with no luck it was presumed by their town that she had 'died'. His dad Lucian did not want to stay there much longer and be reminded of his late wife, so he packed their things up and moved with his young children to Graystone to start anew. Now living in the southside of New Grayle City with his father's new shop doing a lot better than the Everes one, things seemed like they might lookup for the Igalls after the fairly traumatizing experience they went through back in Everes. Yet for Colden, still being so young and with how attached to his mom he was, he never really could get over her and took her "passing" the hardest aside from his father, being quite emotional for a couple of years afterward and entered into a bit of a silent depression. In time he learned to suppress the emotions and bad memories associated with it, and when the topic of her gets brought up nowadays he can't find it in him to talk about her much, both out of fear of having those bad memories show up and also him having a potential breakdown he'd really prefer others never to see. Two of the biggest fears he has that he developed as a child are loneliness and losing anyone else close to him, the latter especially being prevalent when they first moved as he was and still is quite protective of his sister Winnie, using the aggression he had to defend them both from potential bullies during their beginning years of St. Ravilda's. Even if they don't always get along nowadays he still is a bit protective and greatly appreciates his sister for always standing by him in life even with all his troubles, and considers her to be like the "calming rock" during the hard times of his life. Even if he never really did have many friends growing up, aside from a few here and there that he eventually had falling outs with, in a way he truly does not mind as his sister sticking by him was enough for him. As a child he was quite emotional in an angry and aggressive way at first, as that was his way of protecting himself from any unwanted emotions or memories popping up and against the other kids in the bad neighborhood he grew up in Graystone, getting into a lot of fights at the time. When he started attending school at St. Ravilda's he did ease up on all that a bit, but still carried an 'edge' to him when he started getting more rebellious as he grew up. While he has matured a bit from that side of him even if more in a tired and uninterested kind of way, Colden is still pretty sarcastic and sassy at times, his words not always appreciated unless by the few fellow snarky friends he has. Gives off a serious and kind of cold vibe at first that don't know him well, but if you can manage to get him to open up and share the deepest parts of himself, and he feels totally comfortable with you, he will prove to be a great and loyal friend to have. While at first after his graduation he truly did not know nor cared what he wanted to do, mostly staying at home and working(or really, slacking off/skipping and only working when he had nothing better he wanted to do instead) at his dad's shop, things eventually do seem to look up for him as one day a certain bubbly wind mage offered him a spot in her traveling mage group, and after several months spent traveling with them he never realized how much he would enjoy traveling and kind of honestly wishes he started doing so earlier.

I finally got this done! Been meaning to for a while now, but it never looked right to me for a while so I put it off till just earlier this week, where I finally got the motivation to make a new sketch that looked better than my first attempts. Anyway, I hope you guy’s enjoy Winnie’s updated ref~ ^w^

- Winifred "Winnie" Igalls(18) is a speed mage, and currently just working at her father's shop until she figures out what exactly she wants to do with her life. When she was born and for the first two years of her life, she lived in Tarrin, Everes with her family and though she does not remember much from that time, things seemed pretty peaceful as she was a happy little baby. But when she was only two, and one of Tarrin's deadly fires break out one night, did this change. She does not remember much of the fire, but the next thing she knew or realized, she was now living in New Grayle City with her father and older brother, her mom nowhere to be found. Although she did not remember her mom much as she was too young at the time, she has managed to hear some things about her from her father and older brother, though both don't talk about her much so her information on her is limited. She doesn't mind not having her mother around though, as for most of her life she doesn't remember ever having her around, and because when her family moved away from her hometown, there were a lot of broken up families in the bad area where they lived in for most of her childhood. During her early childhood living in Graystone, while not as traumatized as her father or older brother from her mother's absence, she still had a hard time in her own way. Her father became a lot more 'cold' in a sense where he rarely showed much warm emotions around others and while not 'mean' to his children, was very strict and stern with them on how they should behave and act, as in his mind he didn't want to risk losing them like he lost his wife. With her father not having a particularly warm or open presence, it made Winnie feel a bit timid in approaching him much with things at first, as she did not want to risk making him upset in anyway. She stuck primarily by her older brother Colden's side when they were children, as while he was quite the emotional and aggressive child, this was mainly to protect himself and his sister from potential bullies when they first started living and attending school in Graystone. Like her mother once was, it was discovered as Winnie grew older that she was a bit of a 'prodigy' with her magic, although she is very humble with her abilities, that and along with her wanting to stick closer to her brother allowed Winnie to attend St. Ravilda's a year earlier than most students are allowed to attend. She was quite the shy and quiet girl when first starting school there, keeping to only herself or her older brother when she was able to. Though onetime during her beginning years there she made her first friend in the form of Tula Valma, who saw how the girl was all by her lonesome at lunch one day and invited to eat lunch with her so she wouldn't be all alone. They didn't keep in-touch much after that, but during their middle years they were on the school's Zoomball team for a little while together, and while she fell out of the sport in her later school years she still enjoyed her time on the team and thanked it for giving her a confidence boost. While she's not out traveling like some of her peers post-graduation, her father did get her a second mana stone as a graduation gift, both as a small way of saying how proud he is of her doing so well in school, and to give her an extra place to store power in case she would ever need it. Despite her sometimes more awkward and soft-spoken self, she's a great listener and with her generally friendly and loyal disposition she has managed to make a few good friends during her time at school. One of these friends being Raider Crane, as they were both timid reclusives for the longest time and bonded sometime over that fact. Through hanging out with Raider a bit more she got introduced to some of his other friends like Briar Rhapsody and Lyra Montgomery, and after getting to know them more she started to become friends with them too, in time all four of them forming their own little friend group. While they all went their separate ways after graduating, they are all still close friends with each other and make plans on occasion to meet up when they all can from their schedules. Besides working at her father's shop, Winnie doesn't do much with her life, aside from occasionally going out to see the sights of New Grayle City. It has always been a secret passion of Winnie's to dance professionally, though, but she's a bit too shy and insecure to show off her skills in public or try to get the attention of any major dance groups or companies out there, so for now she's just content dancing when she's alone or sometimes with her friends when they encourage her to. Currently, although she never had much of a romantic life in school like her friends, there is one person who Winnie has started liking lately. She has seen him a few times out-and-about in the city when he visited, and from their few conversations so far he seemed like a real patient sweetie for her to talk with, different from some of the other guys she was often surrounded by growing up which made her ease up a lot on feeling comfortable talking with him. Although they are just acquaintances or casual friends at best at the moment, she feels hopeful that perhaps they can become closer the more they talk with each other~

Been meaning to make updated refs for my mage girl Winnie and her family for a while now, so starting off we have her father, Lucian~ 💚

- Lucian Igalls(43) is the father to Colden and Winifred, a non-practing light mage, and the owner of the "Igall's Convenice Store" that is currently set up in the southside of New Grayle City. Having grown up in a low-income household, he's had some rough beginnings when he was younger especially with some bullies that would cause trouble for him and his siblings for being one of the poorer families in area he grew up in. When he was of age he was more than grateful for the chance to attend St. Ravilda's on a scholarship, being one of the first mages in his family to do do. There he met a rather feisty tomboy by the name of Titaia, whom he didn't like much at first but as they hung out more he started to appreciate her more and more for upbeat and caring attitude, and it was around graduation time that they became a couple. Afterwards he decided to move with her back to her hometown of Tarrin, Everes, where he bought a small, failing shop with what little money he had and renovated it to become somewhat successful, if only to help him and Titaia live in somewhat comfortable conditions. The two got married and started a family a little younger than some of their former classmates, but they were happy regardless for their current situation. However, things would soon turn devastating as one of Tarrin's deadly fires broke out one night when their youngest was only 2, burning down several buildings including Lucian's shop. When it was finally put out Titaia was nowhere to be seen, and after sometime searching it was presumed by their town that she had 'died'. Not wanting to stay there longer and be reminded of his late wife, Lucian moved his young children to Graystone to start anew, setting up a new shop that in time grew to do much better than the one from Everes. A stern and stressed man, he is primarily very busy with running the shop and watching over his children, who may be grown now but are still living at home. Very serious and no-nonsense, he rarely shows much 'warm' emotions though is easily flustered/blushy when caught off-guard. Quite savvy in many ways, whether it be at making certain decisions in moments of battles like in his old combat classes or simply looking for the best deal on something. When his wife disappeared he closed himself off from others, aside from his children, and has not tried dating again since he still mourns and feels a sense of loyalty to his late wife.

Here's Winnie's family~ more information below

I got the basic designs for Winnie’s family down, though they are subject to change in the future. Some notes before I get started, but HT stands for hometown, this might get long, and this pic did give me some troubles drawing/coloring so that explains if the faces or other parts are unclear. So, here we go :

- Winnie’s Hometown A small-medium sized town named Tarrin, that is in a desert-y area. Tarrin tends to get very hot, and as such it isn’t the most ideal for farming, and deadly fires in extreme cases. - Family History/Background Winnie’s parents are named Titaia and Lucian Igalls, and met in their first years of school at St. Ravilda’s Academy. Titaia was always a playful and out-going gal compared to the more serious and uptight Lucian. They started off not liking each other(more so Lucian, who found her a bit too rambunctious), but eventually through an assignment they were put together to complete they became friends. Through their later years they became closer, until they started dating through their last few years. After graduation, they continued to date until they got married in a small wedding in their early twenties. They moved to Tarrin, Titaia’s hometown, and started their respective jobs. Titaia took her energy and became a martial arts/combat teacher, while also serving in the local militia part-time. Lucian took the small amount of money that he was left with and bought a small, failing store from a retiring shopkeeper. Within a year or two of their marriage they had their first child, a baby boy they named Colden. Two or so years after their first child they had a baby girl, whom they named Winifred. Their happy family life was cut short, as one of the rare Tarrin fires broke out when their youngest was only two. The entire town was in a panic, as it overtook many shops and homes(including Lucian’s shop). Titaia did her best to help save the citizens and help put out the fire, though when it was finally put out she was nowhere to be found. There was no clue to what happened to her, and after searching for her(to no avail), Lucian decided to move his kids to Graystone to start fresh. While there is still that pain present from Titaia being gone, the remaining family do their best to go along with their lives and not dwell too much on the past. - Brief Bios * Titaia Igalls Mother of Colden and Winifred, wife to Lucian. An out-going and playful woman, who’s prone to being a bit flirty/a tease. Has always been a bit of a reckless tomboy, especially in youth, though grows to be a bit more dignified/poised. A fighter who cares deeply for her family, she would do anything to keep them safe. A mage who specializes in fire magic(her soul color being red), she had two mana stones by the time she had her children though only used one. * Lucian Igalls Father of Colden and Winifred, husband to Titaia. A stern and stressed man, he is very busy running his new shop and looking after his children. While he may seem very serious, is easily flustered, especially by a love interest like his wife. Quite savvy, he tends to be unpredictable/sneaky when he has to make a decision in combat/battle. When his wife left he became closed-off, rarely showing emotion. A mage who specializes in light magic(his soul color is light green), who is more so average in ability and only ever got one mana stone. * Colden “Col” Igalls Son of Titaia and Lucian, older brother to Winnie. While at first being quite emotional over the loss of his mother, he taught himself to suppress the memory and emotions caused by her. When they first moved to Graystone and started at St. Ravilda’s, he was very protective of his sister and always did his best to defend her from bullies. Now a days he’s more rebellious, and tends to slack off/skip work. He maintains a serious, and sarcastic/sassy attitude towards others. A mage specializing in ice magic(his soul color being turquoise), unlike his sister he is more so average in skill. - Fun/Extra Facts .
