My latest au is what I’ve been calling the Adventure Swap Au! Basically, take a link, and plop him in someone else’s adventures (with some modifications to the story or character’s abilities). As a result we’ve got:

Wild, the chosen hero who fell from Skyloft and lost his memories.

Twilight, the hero of minish who wields a sword that turns him into a wolf.

Time, a seafaring hero who started his adventure after his big sister was kidnapped.

Sky, a military captain who traveled through time against a sorceress who desired him specifically.

Wind, a veteran adventurer who can’t remember a time he hasn’t been doing quests.

Four, who perished in battle and woke up 100 years later with his soul split into pieces.

Warriors, a traveler and strategist trying to survive in a world that hunts for his blood.

Legend, who traveled many dimensions and gained several forms to stop the usurper king.

And finally Hyrule, whose magical instruments and masks helped him defeat Ganondorf and escape a 72 hour time loop.

(Also with a bonus minish Midna on Twi’s shoulder!)

The chain is at Lon Lon Ranch, in Time and Malon’s house to be specific, and Wild was making dinner.

Wild: So… who ruined dinner? I’m not mad, I just wanna know.

Hyrule: I did. I ruined it—

Wild: No, no you didn’t. Twi?

Twilight: Don’t look at me cub. Look at Time.

Time: What? No, I didn’t ruin it.

Wind: That’s odd. How’d you even know it was ruined?

Time: Because it’s in a cooking pot right in front of us, and it looks extremely dubious.

Wind: Suspicious

Warriors: If it matters, probably not, but Legend was the last one near it.

Legend: Liar! The only time I’m near a cooking pot is if the foods already done!

Warriors: Really? Then why’d I see you in the kitchen earlier.

Legend: I just had a question for Malon; you all know that Wars!

Malon: Hey now, let’s not fight! I ruined it, let me go make a different meal, Wild.

Wild: No, who ruined it?!

Four: Wild… Sky has been awfully quiet.

Sky: Really Four?!

Four: Absolutely!

Sky: Oh Hylia you guys!

[cue the arguing over who ruined dinner]

Malon: It actually was me. I knocked something into the pot by accident. If any of the boys ask me about it though, I’m telling them it was my fairy boy who ruined it. Although I think Wild might already know it was me.

Wild: Oh yeah, I know it was Malon, but it was much more fun to ask everyone else who ruined it and let them hash it out. Malon and I are working on a different dish as they all argue, and this time we’re making fruitcake too.

i think asc is setting up for froststar (with the caveat acknowledging that the erins will write without regard to actual setup most of the time. and they could also be cowards. so take with a grain of salt). wind had a lot of emphasis on frostpaw standing up for herself and growing confidence and doing this in the context of a leadership role, especially in the windclan scene. sunbeam like specifically notes how frostpaw takes charge of the situation and seems to have really grown into herself. and riverstar and the cats of the park leading her on this journey in order to grow these skills. and i think it makes sense with the extremely religious angle this arc has taken with “evil = defiers of starclan and nonbelievers” and riverclan becoming a mess specifically because they are without starclan’s guidance. so i think it makes sense in this context that riverclan’s chosen leader would be the cat who’s been specifically led by starclan this whole time. and the fact she has tried both a warrior and medicine cat role and has some trouble fitting into both. “look beyond the obvious choices.” frostpaw warrior-healer-prophet leader of riverclan

#i was really skeptical they’d be brave enough to go that route with her character but wind changed my mind #granted. the whole theming of this arc sucks. and i would much prefer that frostpaw is leader because of her skepticism towards starclan #and the code because of her experiences. i would rather her not be starclan’s little sockpuppet personally #but that’s not the angle this arc has taken thematically and something warrior cats has never bothered to confront in general #just rambling ignore how many times i said specifically lol #meowing.wav #frostpaw

For anyone in the Legend of Zelda fandom and Linked Universe, I have an idea for a story. You can use the idea because I’m horrible at keeping track of what I want to write. Good luck!

The Plot: Unknown to the heros, the shadow goes back in time and kills Warriors after he and Artemis seal Ganondorf in order to weaken the Chain. The effects on Time itself shows in Hylia’s heros. The group of 9 are reduced by 2 since Warriors was now killed before the journey starts and Wild is erased due to the fact he was a descendent of Warriors. Time (the hero) is now more jaded and full of anger due to watching the one considered his big brother be killed in front of him. He is more reckless and quick to anger. His markings are now complete and has the power of the Fierce Deity without the use of the mask. Wind, who was there in the war shortly after turning 13, is also jaded and wanting revenge for Warriors’ death but not as reckless as Time. The others are more or less unaffected outside of being very concerned with Time and Wind’s health and sanity.

With the exception of Legend who, thanks to his royal blood, remembers Warriors and Wild and is unaffected by the time change. With Hylia’s direct help at last, Legend takes Sky, Four, Hyrule, and Twilight back into the past in order to save Warriors’ life and in turn, Wild’s existence.

There’s just one little problem.

They must not be seen by Warriors, Artemis, Mask, or Toon or the Golden Goddesses will interfere and possibly stop them.

LU Gender and Orientation Headcanons

Time – Gender apathetic/Non-binary (gender-expresses androgynous or masculine, okay with any pronouns, experimenting with neos), demisexual

Warriors – Cis man (he/him), gay

Twilight – Trans man (he/him), panromantic

Sky – genderqueer transmasc (he/they and rarely she/her), keeps sexual/romantic preferences private

Four – It's complicated. When combined, Four is multi-gender/genderfluid (sticks with he/they but like the occasional she or neo as well). When separated: Green - male (he/him); Vio - female (she/her); Red - nonbinary (they/them); Blue - Agender (any/no pronouns). His orientation is too complex for us mere mortals to understand so suffice it to say he just started dating his Zelda and loves her very much.

Legend – genderfluid (he/she), bi and demisexual but not interested in relationships right now (too busy adventuring, too recent of a loss)

Hyrule – androgynous gender questioning (genderfluid? Nonbinary? Fairy gender?) (Likes he, she, they, and fae/faer/faers equally), very aroace

Wild – genderfluid (gender collector) (he/she), aroace right now but open to relationships in the future

Wind – cis boy (he/him, but is curious to try on other pronouns), undecided and not currently questioning his sexuality but he sure does like Tetra alot but ewwww kissing is so gross yuck
