Combining 'cap is presumed to be kryptonian' with the divine twitch chat with what the wiki calls straight up clairvoyance to create 'cap is assumed to be superman's ancestor come here from krypton millenia ago to protect and guide us'.
Because a) like superman, marvel is widely believed to have no secret identity at all - he bares his face entirely! He's a huge kinda dorky wall of muscle who never says anything worse than heck, everything about that stands out. It's assumed they jet off to the same place on their downtime, the famous fortress of solitude.
B) cap may not have a Supers senses, but between his almost precognition, his uncanny ability to pick up lies, his tendency to suddenly pause and listen to someone unheard before randomly jetting off, and his occasional one sided discussions that leave him with more information than he had before, it's pretty easily implied he has them (it's the chat piping in. He's gotten quite good at filtering out the actually important information).
C) no one really knows how aliens age anyway - and with magic, who knows what an already op hyper advanced alien race could do??? There's substantial proof cap has been around for MILLENIA, if you know where to look (that fact that a good chunk of stuff is Black Adam distresses Billy no end, but it doesn't seem like he left any trace of his evil doings (he rules a country, and ancient murals of you summoning hordes of demons to decimate the earth does not good pr make). He's probably immortal! He talks like he is, sometimes.
D) supes and cap get on really well! Almost... Unusually well. (the Internet reads too much into two dudes who aren't afraid of emotions finding unexpected kinship in their hero life.) there's definitely something else going on there and everyone knows superman is head over heels for batman so it's not that.
E) he's a captain! He's a champion! Apparently his home base can be accessed anywhere in the universe??? Like, say, another planet??
So why did he come to earth? Why did he really only emerge again now, after centuries of total radio silence? It was... Right after superman debuted... Well, give or take a few years, but what's that to an immortal being?!
A jl member brings up the rumours during a meeting and Billy nearly chokes trying not spittake at the justice league table. Superman blue screens visibly.
Then someone asks cap if he's sure his body is human, and??? IS IT??!!! The wizard would have said something, right??!! Ghost or not??
The delay is just long enough to make the gossip mongers interested.

where’s that little horror piece about kits never growing up in Starclan? because I remember it so vividly but I can’t find it.
The one about Bright Stream?
Weird that it's so hard to find! It's probably because it's got such heavy tags lmao.
I really mean it though like, canon's permakitten system and the idea that Bright Stream is up there, forever taking care of fetus children who were filled by sudden knowledge and yet never grow past that point absolutely horrifies me. Jesus Christ. I don't know how anyone reads that final scene in Path of Stars and isn't filled with itching, white-hot existential dread, man.
Sometimes you just gotta write horror about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i've never read Eyeshield 21 but I took one look at this spiky sharp bastard and I've decided that I love him
so spiky
AND YOU'RE CORRECT lmao. That's Hiruma Yoichi, he's a menace and I love him. Every manga should have a dangerous weirdo with a book full of blackmail who drives the plot forward by being an absolute crazy person. Eyeshield 21 is a football manga, and he's just out here blackmailing and scheming and being an audacious chaos gremlin.
ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS MANGA MIGHT HAVE OUTLANDISH PROPORTIONS OR FEATURES BUT AT LEAST THEY LOOK LIKE HUMANS!! Hiruma why are you like this?!?!

i feel like the original series was red guy centered, the first season was for yellow guy, and i am BEGGING AND PRAYING that season 2 will be more about duck!! i will probably cry if anything happens to him though lol 💀 everytime writers break a comic relief character i just OUGSHGS.. it gets me.
h well I don't think you're wrong about that! Webseries being Red Guys time to shine, S1 of the TV show being for Yellow (esp the last two episodes I think? Even thought outside of that, he does get a lot of focus/he IS the one who talks to the audience the most directly).
From what I remember hearing, the pilot was pretty Duck-centered.
But I think even if he GETS his big moment in the sun, so to speak, it's NOT going to be as emotional as the other twos. On top of him just not being a very um… let's say sentimental character, he's just not the make-you-cry type! It's just not him imo!
IDK, I operate under the opinion that… in his weird little head, the most important thing that he values over everything is keeping the three of them together. Both because he thinks of them as a weird little family AND because he really doesn't have anyone else outside of the trio.
We also know from the interview, and you could maybe argue from the Family episode ( Who do you love?/Anyone who loves me back., I asked every member of my family who they loved the most, and they all said me ) that being loved is something that he actually values QUITE a bit! More than you would assume on first glance! He's weirdly upfront about it haha!
In that way, I imagine that if they were to TRY to pull something to put him in the spotlight in the way you're imagining (i.e. something emotional and focusing on his issues like they did with Yellow & Red) it would either focus on his desire to be loved OR his dedication to keeping the three of them together.
But I would argue they both already did that in the Family episode AND put him through the worst case-scenario in regards to those more emotional aspects of his character ( here I think the worst case scenario to him is the other two rejecting him, harshly, unambiguously and to his face, multiple times and the three of them separating ).
AND THE THING IS… THAT ALREADY HAPPENED! THAT DIDN'T BREAK HIM!
He had his little pout over it in his dress and was like FINE! I DON'T NEED THEM ANYWAYS! So, I really don't think that big "character-breaking" moment is coming. If the Family ep didn't get him I honest to God don't think there's anything else the house could throw at him that could get under his skin.

love how inconsistent kilgarrah is, like he spends half the time talking about how merlin needs to fulfil his destiny and then he tells merlin that the only way to fulfil his destiny is to stop mordred and morgana from fulfilling theirs (conveniently by killing them) and after all that he tells merlin that no man can know their destiny as if half the plot of the show wasn’t merlin knowing his destiny
