Boundless Sands

I really struggled with this one. didn‘t know how to combine the line style of the background with the semi realistic foreground and kinda gave up on the lillies on the right side, haha. It adds flowiness this way, but idk if i‘m truly satisfied with them. My solution for combining the two styles was mainly adding more texture to the realistic parts, like screentones on the lillies, but what really pulled it together was the stark shadows behind the flowers. Its a good transition between the two elements i think.

I'm gonna be honest, my interest in the Dream SMP started to fade when all the stupid shit started to.

The refrigerator jokes, sally the salmon, tubbo in the fishtank, the stupid shit

That was my favorite part of the Dream SMP. It made the moments where things felt serious so much more impactful! But when it all became perfectly polished and pre recorded? Yeah it's impressive, but it just wasn't the same.

Wilbur's finale stream brought back what made me interested in the thing in the first place, and I've cared about lore for the first time in a long time. It was fucking stupid and made very little sense and I fucking loved it

It felt like a fitting end to me. The story that began with stupid shit and a hotdog drug van ends with some confusing wackjob shit that makes you laugh. Both have serious parts, but are at their core dumb as bricks.

I loved that stupid ass ending.

But why the fuck Utah?????? Well, at least it's not Nebraska.

Okay but can we just talk about the implications of Utah being real in the DSMP universe? Because that’s objectively hilarious.

There are two ways I see it existing.

1) Utah is our Utah but in Minecraft. C!Wilbur works at a gas station in a foreign land called ‘Utah’ that merely resembles the state in America.

Or, much funnier:

1) Utah exists much as it does in our world. When a character of the DSMP goes to Utah, they become ‘live action’ (a sort of suspended state bordering on our world while still being within their reality) and vice-versa. Which means that when c!Wilbur came to the DSMP, he must’ve seen people using swords and axes and wearing armour and just been like “damn. I can get with this.”
