Finally gonna go for it
Hey, so I am finally sitting down at my new computer and I am getting set up to write away on the hostage arc I have been setting my eyes on since last year. I am trying to figure out who to have on the tagging list, so please let me know if you want to be a part of it!
The tags are gonna be: military whump, lady whump, torture, prisoners of war, hostage whump, etc. I am going to have a lot of words to set up the story, so it's probably going to be between 1-4k just to set up what i need to, including the mission that was happening. Hey so idk ur ocs so just go off about your fave. Who are they? What makes them so special? Are they the kind of oc you treat nicely or are they the kind you bite and shake like a dog with a toy?

Oh I am so deranged about him :)
My fave is my lovely boi Pete Spencer, he's sweet, scrunchy, and has done NOTHING AT ALL BAR EXISTING to warrant me picking him up and shaking him until he's torn to pieces uwu
Occaisionally he gets nice things, but that's very limited since it's SO much more fun to whump the absolute shit out of him and fixate on that-- especially since I tailored him to my incredibly specific tastes, and I guess that's what makes him special!
He's done a multitude of things for me-- helped me discover whump, given me purpose and drive, befriend lovely new people in this community, explore and appreciate the world through a new lens... There's a lot more lol but that's the short version XD
And!! No other whumpee I have EVER seen is his kind of critter:
I love mer, I love mer that can have legs and prefer legs because they grew up and adapted to the world with legs, and their tail is completely foreign to them, and it gets them into trouble and causes them difficulties, and traps them, and they can't swim, and they fear their own body, and oh man the list goes on and on and on, and every single one of those things applies to my boi Pete ^-^
His story is my main WIP atm, it's a gonna be a pretty long one, absolutely full to the bring of orginal, lore-rich whump... I just actually have to get the fucker written. Fortunately, Pete is on my mind absolutly constantly and I am not exaggerating (genuine), I have an obsession lmao, so, yeah XD
He fills me with happiness and he makes everything in the world good ^-^

It took me so much longer than expected omg. It's more of emotional whump /angst than whump whump ngl but I hope you'll still enjoy it.
Tw: Disordered eating mentioned, passing out mentioned.

"What do you think you are doing?" Sasha sat in a bar's booth in front of him.
"What are you talking about?" Stupid question, Cole knew perfectly what his brother was talking about, but wanted to check what mood he was in.
And as expected this earned him a death glare.
"Do you want to fucking kill her?" Sasha asked in a resigned tone.
This one hurt, probably more than if he would just punch him. Actually Cole kind of hoped he would, at least they wouldn't have to talk about this mess, because he wasn't sure if he was physically able to do it. Everytime he thought about it, he felt the the lump in his throat. But Sasha was waiting for him to answer and wouldn't let go until he did.
"I'm trying to protect her" This didn't sound convincing even in his head, and spoken out loud it sounded even weaker. But the pain in his chest made it hard to think about anything else, whenever he closed his eyes all he saw was Vivianne's wrist, the black circle of bruises contrasting with a white blanket, the way her hand bended...
"It's nothing, her hands are almost healed by now, throat too." Sasha said correctly guessing what he was kicking himself for. "But you're not protecting her, not like that. Or at least you're failing at it" he added.
"Why? What's wrong with her?" Je asked. Sasha has just said that her hands were fine, so... but maybe it was something, that he didn't noticed or done, maybe...
"Vi's-" Sasha started, bringing him back.
But didn't finish his sentence, instead he sighed and tried again.
"Vivianne's worried sick about you. Since you've left she has collectively slept for like three hours, and I don't think I've seen her eat anything either." Sasha pinched the bridge of his nose "She looks half - dead, well more than usual... "
"I... Vi's rational. It'll be fine?" " Cole cut in, mostly because he couldn't listen to him anymore. It came of more as a question, and it was so quiet that for a moment Cole wasn't sure if Sasha has even heard him.
"Yes, she is. That's why it's concerning when she gets like this." He took a deep breath before continuing "She's blaming herself for what happened, you know?"
"How in the hell-" it sounded like a bad joke "how would that be her fault?"
"No idea" Sasha shrugged "but for god's sake can't you just talk to her?"
"I doubt she would want to see me right now... or anywhere in the near future" This was painful to say, or to even think about, but it was true, he couldn't imagine how she could've wanted to talk to him again.
Sasha opened his mouth but decided not to say anything.
"What is it?" Cole asked defeated. He was scared to find out, but after all could this get any worse?
"Alright, just don't tell Vi I've told you, she would never forget me that." He paused for a moment "She passed out today-"
"She what?!" his heart sank "Where is she now?" he already started to get up.
"Home, I told her to rest and it looks like for once in her life she actually listened. Honestly, with how things have been I'm surprised it took her that long. So if you could stop moping around and talk her out of dying from exhaustion that would be great."

Vivianne was curled up on the side at the very edge of the bed, she always slept like that, but now it didn't look like she was asleep.
"Vi?" She didn't react, didn't even open her eyes.
Ignoring the stab of guilt that striked through his chest when he saw how much her bones were showing already, Cole kneeled next to her and touched her arm.
"Sasha I told you - everything's fine you don't have to check on me every ten minutes" Without turning her head she shook his hand off.
"I can't believe you actually listened to him and stayed in bed, I think that's a first." He scoffed, and brushed away her hair, to make her look at him.
Vi realized who was talking to her, and instantly sat up, green eyes going wide.
"You're home?" She asked quietly, but beside that she kept completely still.
"Yeah, yeah I'm -" He wasn't sure what he expected - screaming probably. Her throwing him out of the apartment wouldn't be surprising either, but not this.
And he also definitely didn't expect her to wrap her arms around him.
"Finally" she said, but didn't sound mad.
After a second of hesitation Cole returned the hug, and feelt that she was shaking.
"What's going on?" He backed away a little to take a look at her, and was absolutely horrified to see that she was crying.
Shit, no, no, no. It took him a moment to get himself together enough to speak.
"Don't - please don't cry... you never cry" and it's scaring the shit out of me "Vi? - Please, I beg you" He had no idea what else to do, so he pulled her closer again.
"I'll kill you if you do this to me again" Vi said, she was tired, but it took her only a few seconds to gather herself. If not the tears on her face it would be impossible to tell that she has cried.
"I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you" he said into her hair.
"What?" Now she took a step back "It's not about this!" Vi gestured at her throat, that was still covered in half healed bruises "I'm talking about you leaving, god knows where. Without even talking to me, asshole!"
"I'm sorry" he said again.
Vivianne turned away from him and looked out of the window. He put a hand on her shoulder, and for a moment they stood there in silence. Until she turned her head to look back at him.
"I'm going to kill however did that." Vi said it calmly but there was ice in her voice. And Cole knew her well enough to know that this wasn't an empty threat, she just simply stated a fact.

do you have any advice for not getting any notes on orginal whump stuff? i post prompts everyday and get 20 or so notes after a couple days but the second I post something original I'll be lucky if one person passes by it and likes without reading... most of it just has 1 or zero notes.
Oof yeah. My first piece of advise is to tag the freaking hell out of it. Every single one that you can think of.
Some most of this advice is a little blunt.
I find that the CW at the top of the post is there both as a warning and a promise. Nemi sometimes lists hers as “ingredients” and I think that’s the perfect metaphor cause there might be something you’re “allergic to” and you can avoid, or there’s something you really like and you can go ahead and try it. If you know there’s gonna be something juicy in there, hint to it in italics at the top. Like you’re sharing a secret. Helps people know there’s something in there.
There are waves of popular settings. Pet whump seems to be pretty constant, but other setting kinda ebb and flow. (Tiny whump, vampires, mer) if your OC is one of the smaller ones, it might take some time for it to find its audience. That doesn’t mean it’s bad!! Not at all!! Just needs to find its people.
Picrews, moodboards, general shit posts about your OCs help round them out and get your audience invested. If they remember the picrew they saw when that OCs name pops up in a Drabble, they might be more likely to read through it cause they’re familiar.
All in all, prompt fills/prompts will almost always get more attention than OC stories. And that’s fine!! It makes sense - the blank “whumpee” and “whumper” let the reader project whoever they want.
In the end, keep going even though it sucks. And? My other advice is to have more than one story going if you feel up to it. You never know, maybe that next character will be the one that really strikes the chord

Hmmmm; has to be from the epilogue of Rewrite Finale. its so sweet and simple that i just-made me so happy when i looked at it finished 'Once upon a time; there was a girl. A girl from one world who fell into another, and fell in love with what she saw. She had hundreds of adventures and found her happily ever after in a boy named Harry Hook.
She never regretted a thing as she grew into her old age, never regretted not trying to go home, never regretted her love.
Her happily ever after was Part of this world."
its justaiohsdjahsdahs its just the ending of a fic i had been imagingin since 2017 came to life and im just so fukin proud of it.

fucking ANGST, i write so damn much of it. always Harry whump too nothing else.XD
13. What story haunts you when you try to sleep at night?
daughter of the honorable thief, i just feel bad that i abandoned it after it being one of my very first long fics. even before poyw came to be. i will get back to it one day i just-cant find any direction with it.

you, Harriyanna, my friend Luna who wrote this fucking amazing Kylo story thats shes turning into a fully orginal character content book and ahhhhhhhh, clashatdemonheads their art is so fuckin amazing i love how they draw Mal. aaaaand so many more that i cant remember heh

my fav story HAS to be Finale rewrite, im so happy with how the entire series turned out but d3 rewrite was just-my passion project. form the redesigns to the plot changes i made, im just so happy with it

honestly? kinda just-writing- once i finished rewrite finale ive been kinda in a drag? not like-in a drag more of-my brain wont stay in one fic, i cant focus on one thing. i have a commission series that im only just starting p4 on, i have regained passion, i have remember your past, i have POYW 2.0 that is 13 parts in, and all the oneshots i still wanna write. my rewritexLia crossover shit, the male!reader x Harry Hook that takes place in ur true defender universe, the bad end rewrite; aioshdoiuahsda i just have so many ideas in my brain that i just can focus on T_T

Results of Blog Poll and QnA
So, as you guys know, I did a poll on some questions I had about what you guys thought about my blog, and I got an overwhelming about of love and support from it that made me so happy to read. I want to thank each and every one of you who participated and left a nice message. I truly, truly appreciate it :D.
Now, as not to clog up your dash I’m going to put the rest of this under a read more, but following will be the results of what ya’ll thought.
Firstly, The topic of posting Whump
The overwhelming majority of people have either said that they don’t mind or want all content to remain on this blog, so I’m going to keep all content on this blog. If you don’t like that kind of content, I will tag all whump with #whump as suggested.
Secoundly, about my posting system
The overwelhming majority doesn’t really mind either way, so I’m just going to stick with what I’m doning now/what I’m inspired to write. Thank you for the nice messages btw :D
Lastly, the QnA. Most of the awners to the “ask a question” question were just nice messages, which I greatly appreciate, but some were actual questions so I will awnser them here.
I would! The only reason I haven’t at this point is because a story about winged characters hasn’t popped into my mind, and I haven’t been asked specifically if I would do a prompt about them. But I would totally do them if asked!
Tbh, it switches between orginal flavour and Cool Ranch, I can just gobble em up if given a bag lol.
I knew this question would be asked eventually, and the best awnser I can give you is “self indulgence”. Basically I drew this on my ipad while my foot was broken and I was bored of watching tv on the couch, you can find the full image here on my art Tumblr where I draw, not often though cause I’m busy most of the time lol.

Hi! I love your blog and I'm absolutely adoring what I've seen of Finn and Damian. I've only ever written whump fanfics, but I'd really like to start building an orginal story. Do you have any tips on how to start the character or world? I'm really lost haha... 😅😅 -yellow anon 💛
Yellow anon!! Welcome to the party! I’m exceptionally happy that you enjoy Finn and Damian! More with them is coming, but I want to rewrite the first installment and re-post it.
As for building an original story, that answer is a bit difficult. I came up with Damian and Finn and the majority of the plot within two weeks. I originall intended to write a one-off story based on a post I did way back when I started my blog.
If anything, I’d recommend finding a concept or general idea to base your story around. For example, my story has a base of being a mafia story, and from there I developed a plot of what I wanted the characters to do and why they were doing that. My story is based around a mafia organization, but it isn’t your regular mafia (to be explained in the future).
For characters, they sort of just come to me. They’re a part of who I am, so a piece of me goes into every one of them (even the bastards 😂). I’d recommend trying to develop relationships between characters and go from there. Try to make the characters different from one another, but have similar interests. For example, Finn is really innocent whereas Damian is not, but they both care about those around them. I also suggest using multiple picrews in order to get a sense of what your characters look like, what they wear, and scars or birth marks, etc. This will help you describe them and give your readers an idea of what they look like.
Overall, just do your best yellow anon!! I’m sure you’ll do amazing, and when you do write your story, please tag me in it!

💫 Anon again, mind answering the same questions about headcanons and fanfiction with some of the non to characters from the last post?
I am okay with that.
First up Charlie Green this person on one big simp for Abby. A complete dork that get embarrassed very easily. As well as the fact they do live with their cousin who I haven't introduced into the story yet.
Abby Prescott is an amazing artist. As well as the fact she tend to do drunk karaoke. Abby online Charlie live by herself
I don't remember all their names and I don't have the informations on hand so I'll talk about Icy for now
Icy is the most likely to adopt the youngest in the group. She at one point fought someone over the last tub of ice cream. She is tired of all the shenanigans in the group.
Stella is the type who will have a melt down when you tell her that she can't date someone. She very much says she hates sports but everyone knows she like them. Lastly Stella hates it when people call her half half
Audrey has been at a protest more than three times. She may not be as smart as Stella but she has straight B+ and A-. Audrey does love a good book.
