FUCK, some Palpatine stans/Sith Apologists can be just as annoying as some Jedi Apologists, if not more! (Honestly, I don't even know why I'm surprised 😒)
I think that's one of the best parts about being an Anakin Stan: you have space to critic characters from both sides and, as a bonus, gain the opportunity to annoy many fans from both groups as much as they annoy you 😁
Honestly, Anakin was never meant to be a Jedi or a Sith. He should have send them a middle finger and run away with Padme! My man deserved to be happy and live the rest of his life in peace on Naboo with his lovely wife and their worderful children!
The Jedi and the Sith? Who are they? Never heard anything about them 🤔... and, honestly, I don't give a shit. That's it.

Hello, I'm making a list of my OCs with a bit of art and information! I am doing this because I feel as though I post a lot about my characters without ever providing any detail, so, here you go :) On top of this, I'd like to state that I am always intrested in hearing about your ocs as well, you are more than welcome to send me an ask about them or about my own characters :)
Fairlynn: My Main
Tumblr media
Fairlynn is a bosmer, he is the Hero of Kvatch and also Sheogorath. He is a tad unpredictable and has some mental issues in regards to mirroring the mad god and myself. Fairlynn was 28 when he started with saving the world, only 29 when it ended and full of grief with Martin's passing. This drove him to the Shivering Isles in hopes that he could persuade a daedric prince to revive his beloved. That's not at all how it went down, upon noticing this realm was not one of a stronger prince, Fairlynn was tempted to leave the plane but found himself infatuated with it instead.
After a few years, the princes sensed a danger approaching, one in the form of an imperial male that had the possibility of defeating them. Therefore, they agreed to send one of themselves down to nirn in an attempt to stop it. Unfortunately, they chose Fairlynn to get the job done and yeeted him down where the bosmer began to gather enforcments in the form of other people which he thought would become allies when they grew older.. But what he didn't expect was the imperial managed to befriend every. Single. One. Of the people Fairlynn had set on course to hate the man, none of them truly did. That's the exact moment where he went, "if you can't beat em' join em'." And promptly joined the group in his mortal form without revealing to them who he was. Instead the group thinks he's just a skooma addict that is talented in the ways of fighting. They have no idea.
Ragnar
Tumblr media
This is that imperial male stated in the last description. This man is destined to destroy the influence of the daedric princes on the mortal people, however, he has the intelligence of a box of rocks and everyone doubts this prophecy to be true. The only time one can possibly think this true is when he displays his power in the midst of battle, he was blessed by the divines at birth, each giving him power to defeat the evil of the world. He his bound to use it.. But he never uses it for good, I mean,, why would he? He could kill anyone he wants! No way he's gonna be the "good hero"! (Basically, this was my brother's character and he used mods to make him op so I had to improvise.)
Past wise, my brother and I decided to intertwine him with the lore. You rememeber the song Ragnar the Red? That was Ragnar's father. In truth, his name should be Ragnar the second or Ragnar Jr. but his mother, Matilda, said "hahahaha, no, your father was a mess and you shall not be him." and removed the second part. After his mother died of a sickness, Ragnar hesitantly moved towns in search of work. He missed his mother greatly and would give anything to have her back.
S'arra
Tumblr media
Meet S'arra, she is a khajiit female and the heart of the group (along side another who you'll meet shortly). S'arra is the youngest, she may be sweet but she'll rob you blind if she sees a chance. S'arra came from a happy family in Elsywer, she was the child of F'awn and Ja'zaka, two khajiit with completely different sets of morals. Ja'zaka was a born bandit, he was wild and carefree, F'awn (My friends oc :)) was a gentle and caring woman, she loved to live. When F'awn got pregnant, her brother, J'ar, lost his mind. J'ar was fueled with anger towards Ja'zaka and at one point made an attempt at his brother-in-law's life. It was at that moment J'ar was kicked from F'awn's life, he ran from his home and joined a vampire clan/bandit group in Skyrim.
Only months after her birth, Ja'zaka disappeared. He ran and never came back. F'awn tried her best to raise S'arra, but one morning S'arra was taken from her by a rabid animal that invaded the town. The creature took off with S'arra and lead the small khajiit to it's den where a caravan traveling to Skyrim would soon find her and take her with them, raising her as their own on the roads of Skyrim. The caravan was killed and attacked by a certain bandit group/vampire clan (hahaha, yup, the one J'ar is in). S'arra joined the group in hopes of revenge, although, she'll keep that bit to herself. ;)
Adoren
Tumblr media
Now this orc, oh he's amazing. He is an old man, a precious old man with a past of pain and betrayal. In order to introduce his past, we need to introduce his adpoted brother first:
Zanik
Tumblr media
This is Adoren's adopted brother, Zanik (grandson of Nellie), a not so nice older man. Zanik was thrown out by his father a young age, more precisely, he was thrown in a river by his father in one of his father's crazed fits. Zanik can't swim, he hates water more than anything else in his life. The dunmer was washed to shore near an orc stronghold where he was picked up by Adoren and adopted by the orcs family. Zanik and Adoren lived happily for many many years, one day they went on an exploration to scout for different hunting grounds. It started to pour causing the two to take shelter in a dwemer ruin. That's when they heard soft groaning and sounds of pain coming from down one of the halls. Hesitantly, they explored. Only to find:
Kidawe
Tumblr media
My most lore breaking character! Meet Kidawe, a small snow elf from one of the last remaining villiages of falmer! Now, yes, I am breaking the lore because, since when has canon lore stopped me? Kidawe lived on top of the mountains to the north of Cyrodiil and the South of Skyrim. His village is small and portable, in case they need to move, the tribe of elves is shrouded in mystery, they've managed to live this long and refuse to leave their mountain. Kidawe doesn't listen to that, he runs off each night in search for dwemer ruins, things he find more then interesting. The young elf holds no fear when he's in his element, and he loves to explore. One evening, while in a ruin he is attacked by a vampire/bandit named Raeferth (the leader) who pushes him to join the group, trying to convince the snow elf that his expertise is needed. Kidawe refuses and then engages in battle with the nord, he looses and ends up pinned under a fallen pillar that crushes his arm.
Upon waking up after falling unconscious from the pain, Kidawe is met with the sight of Adoren and Zanik standing over him. After many many months of trust building, the two get Kidawe to befriend them. Kidawe uses their help to fashion himself a new arm from dwarven parts found in the ruin. After a few years, Kidawe disappears. He was taken by force by Raeferth (the others do not know this). Adoren and Zanik are heart broken. They miss their friend greatly.
Adoren/Zanik Pt.2
After losing Kidawe, these two go off and join a bandit group.. Yes the same vampire clan group. Adoren thrives in the group, he his strong and more then willing to get his hands dirty. Zanik.. Not so much. Zanik is only kept around because of Adoren. They all know not to mess with Zanik or else they mess with Adoren.
After spending a few years with them, Adoren decides he can't continue this. Zanik begs him not to leave, trying to make the orc realize that this group will not let them go without hurting them. Adoren doesn't listen and leaves the bandits, later that day the stronghold is burnt to the ground. Adoren looses everything in the fire, his parents pass away, his friends and family. Instead of processing lose normally, he makes it up in his head that the reason Zanik was warning him was because Zanik had a hand in it. Therefore the two fight and Adoren punches Zanik, he's wearing a ring that catches under Zanik's flesh and pratically tears off his cheek leaving the dunmer with a horrible scar. Adoren warns Zanik never to speak with him again.
Which of course doesn't stand because after they grew up into old men, they cross eachother's paths once more. They both join up with the good guy group at different times, Adoren joins first after he finds them in his house, and Zanik joins when he is once again found washed up on the shore.
Zorlin
Tumblr media
Not much on this boio, he was my first oc in the Elder Scrolls. He's an argonian heavy set warrior. Zorlin is silent and cut throat, he is a part of the Brotherhood and only joins the good guy group after his brother, Tu'ru is 'murdered' by Raeferth.
Tristane
Tumblr media
There is so much on him. I'm just going to do bullet points:
Born in Skyrim 200+ years ago. He never knew his true parents and was instead brought up by a wealthy noble family. They more kept him around for labor.
He befriends 3 local kids, Mayrn (breton like him), Raeferth (nord trouble maker), and Lynik (Raeferth's brother).
They all cause problems and Tristane falls in love with Raeferth :D
One day Raeferth claims to have found immortality, Tristane instantly says "No, I'm not doing this." And leaves the friend group, trying to focus on himself.
He is then framed for a crime he didn't commit and sent to Cyrodiil's Imperial Prison. Then he is bailed out by the Emperor and sent to Morrowind.
Morrowind happens, Tristane changes from whining child to even whiner child with the ability to cast spells.
After Morrowind, Tristane travels to Solstiem where he is confronted with Mayrn and Lynik (both as bandit vampires).
Mayrn and Lynik try to force him back to Skyrim to see Raeferth and join them. Tristane, as he said before, says "no". So they kill him.
Now they don't really kill him, they use a method I made up called Soul Gem Reflection. This is something I completely made up but I like it so sue me. I can write an entire post on this alone so we're just gonne say, "Soul gem reflection is a method in which the targets soul is directed towards an object they held dear in life instead of dying. They're life essence is held in the soul gem, but they live in the object."
In this case, Tristane was reflected in his journal.
Lynik felt horrible for doing this to his friend, he felt guilty and returned the journal which he unknowingly relfected the breton in, and gave it to Tristane's family who in turn stuffed the journal in the basement.
Fast forward 200+ years and Adoren buys the manor, finding Tristane's journal inside and opening it. Surprise! Out springs a ghostly figure of Tristane who then convinced Adoren to take him along with the group!
Other Characters:
Tumblr media
This is J'ar. He's mentioned above.
Also, here's some more character that aren't affiliated with the group:
-Baendil and Baendal are bosmer brothers, they were abandoned by their parents and instead found by cranky altmer father Kornan. They're bandits (not related to vampires at all). They're bad, not morally wrong but actually just bad at being bandits. They couldn't rob you even if you asked them to.
-I will add more later I'm sure.

In one of your posts, you said the following: "I didn’t like having to watch Joon Sung betray Dong Jin like he did, but it’s good to know that for such a good guy he definitely is flawed." I didn't understand. Could you explain, please? He redeemed himself in the end, don't you think? Or do you think that the identity reveal was a form of betrayal? Also, I hope Min Kyu redeems himself because the drama showed that he has potential to be a decent person.
Hi, anon! Hope you don’t mind the long-ass response! In writing my answer to your Ask, I guess I’ve unintentionally created an analysis of Joon Sung and Min Kyu that no one asked for.
Re: Joon Sung
Because at the beginning of the drama, they seemed to build Joon Sung and Min Kyu as opposites in Dong Jin’s eyes: Min Kyu as the bad guy, asshole leader vs. Joon Sung as the good guy, compassionate leader. I mean, hell they even push that narrative a bit further by having Dong Jin form a comradery with Joon Sung outside of the ops and butt heads/conflict with Min Kyu during the ops.
And even when it was revealed that Joon Sung’s father was Lee Hyuk and that he was sent to Polaris to keep an eye on Min Kyu, Joon Sung still came off as a more decent and good guy because of how he treated others both on and off ops: with respect, consideration, and empathy. Hell, even when he butted heads with Min Kyu, he didn’t come off as bad or an asshole because even in a conflict he was calm, level-headed, and respectful.
It was only when that whole debacle with the camcorder happened that you began to question whether Joon Sung was no better or worst than Min Kyu.
When he destroyed that camera, I’ll admit that I was disappointed in him. I still liked him better than Min Kyu, but because my personal elevated level of admiration and respect for him probably matched that of Dong Jin’s own -- so at the time I could imagine Dong Jin’s look of betrayal when the truth comes out... And then it actually happened and Yep, we had similar levels of disappointment.
Because admittedly I put Joon Sung on a pedestal. Then he got knocked off that pedestal when he betrayed Dong Jin. Which of course later became more an error in judgement, in betraying someone’s trust despite his intentions to protect his family. More so when it was revealed that Joon Sung lobbied a deal with his father for the destruction of the camcorder [1. that they forgot it happened and 2. his father drops out of the Presidential race] AND that he kept the videotape itself just in case his father betrays him... I legit went “Huh. He’s not perfect but he’s good.” I realized then that he’s just as flawed and human as everyone else. And that’s a good thing overall. It shows that even good, decent characters can do bad things, make mistakes, have flaws. Makes them more likeable and relatable.
Also, for transparency, I want to make it clear that even when Joon Sung seemed to take a heel turn in his arc, a part of me was going to still prefer him over Min Kyu because of his soft spot for Dong Jin. Heck, I’d even call it fondness because I’ve discovered in rewatching their scenes pre-camcorder, Joon Sung seemed a bit more attentive and protective of Dong Jin. And when Dong Jin discovered Joon Sung’s lies and what he did to the camcorder, and then called Joon Sung out on his character, the way that man couldn’t hide his hurt at Dong Jin’s disappointment in him just... SLAYED. ME.
But I digress...
Re: Min Kyu
Which brings us to Min Kyu and why I think he’s better as the antagonist than a redeemed character.
At first I wondered if it was because we saw Min Kyu [and in parallel, Joon Sung] through Dong Jin’s eyes that I already was wary of him and slow to trust or even like our asshole commander.
And listen, I am a BIG FAN of the Asshole Characters. But I also need them to be prickly on the outside and soft on the inside and for a bit, all I saw of Min Kyu was his need to get out of whatever shithole he found himself in and get back on track in his military career. And usually, that need to fix his situation results in assholes doing WHATEVER IT TOOK, even if it means Fuck Others, Get Me My Commendation. Those type of Assholes I’m not a fan of because the only loyalty they have is towards themselves.
A close mirror to Min Kyu could be found in Lee Hyuk, the actual antagonist of this series [and no, not the monster/creature Polaris is searching/hunting for]. Both have agendas outside of whatever they’re entrusting to others. Both don’t listen to their teammates unless the results will look favourable on them.
Later tho I came to realize that okay, so maybe Min Kyu is actually capable of being the type of Asshole Character that I like: the one who is an ass except to certain others. Which is good because that means thankfully Min Kyu isn’t of the level of villainy of Lee Hyuk. There have been many incidents where Min Kyu’s decency and humanity revealed itself afterall. His bond to Moon Cheol is the best example of that. Another example was his initial reaction to seeing Dong Jin fall apart over Baek Jun’s death.
However, as the drama progressed, I’ve noticed that Min Kyu actually shines when he’s playing and manipulating the system to get what he wants. Like when Min Kyu quickly realized that Lee Hyuk has connections and pulls a LOT of strings and that Lee Hyuk was in a position to give Min Kyu what he wanted. So what’d Min Kyu do? He made himself available to Lee Hyuk. Will that later bite him in the ass? Maybe. But we’ve also seen how smart and calculated Min Kyu can be, so at this point, I’m actually rooting for Min Kyu to make himself dispensable to Lee Hyuk and then betray the man when shit hits the fans.
I mean, there are antagonists we love to hate, and then there are those that we love seeing doing bad things especially to bad people and I have a feeling that Min Kyu might be that key to helping take Lee Hyuk, the drama’s true monster, down!

hi triple frontier request here: the movie didn't give us much background as to why the five guys got into the military or their back stories with the special ops, could you please write your interpretation of how all of them got into / involved with special forces bc i feel like that was really missing from the movie, thank youuuu!!!!!!
I’m sorry this took so long! But I’ve kinda done them separately and tried to mix in everything as well as I could! I hope you enjoy this :)
Joining the Military/becoming Airborne Rangers
For Ben it was about proving himself. To his father, to his brother and also to himself, the competitive spirit between the two brothers pushing that thought. Benny wanted to make sure that everybody knew, he was just as good as the older Miller one and that he was tough enough for the army. Ever since he could think, there was nothing that he wanted more - or anything else that he’d dream to become. Growing up under the watchful eyes of his father shaped him into a man who checked his records, checked his time at training, checked who was above him and what he had to do to beat them. For Benny it was higher, faster, stronger and it landed him right at the top of his unit. It wasn’t destiny as much as it was the natural occurrence that needed to happen at one point, since he never stopped working to strive for an improved version of himself. His talent as a sharp shooter came out later, at first he made the cut  for his excellent physical and mental health, being able to control his nerves and having the endurance that was needed to get through the toughest tests, while maintaining an overlook over the whole situation. He was young and focused and his caring nature, to never leave a brother behind, was the bonus he needed to make the cut for the Special Forces. Overall Ben was the poster boy any unit could hope for, the perfect example of what one might achieve if they’ve put their minds to it.
William made the choice to join the army as he did everything in life - very well thought through. It made sense to him in a way that his family had a long line of soldiers and now it was his turn to contribute to that and honor, not only his father, but the men that came before him. For him it was about to continue to do what was right. That was the second part, giving back to his country and ensuring a better, brighter future. William liked the routine of the army, that it had rules that he understood and he could follow, the machinery of it all and he felt at secured in a way, knowing where he stood and what was expected of him. He quickly realized though, that the position he started in wouldn’t be for forever. He didn’t mind the physical part but he missed putting his brains to the test, feeling as if he got stuck in a position that would leave him more and more unchallenged, mentally speaking. He wanted to know more, about the operation, why they were send where they’re sent and what the motive was behind all of that. But as more and more answers where withheld from him, he felt himself getting stuck in the routine he once admired and needed. Now, he wanted more. So William did what he did best - he informed himself what he needed to do to get as much intel on the situation as possible. His intelligence, strength and potential for leadership (though he never wanted to take that kind of responsibility for others) made him an immediate candidate for the special tactics team. He’d constantly butt heads with Tom, the older operation leader being annoyed with the younger soldier who’s questions never seemed to stop and who’d wait for him outside the commando tent after every meeting. It took a while for Tom to figure out that Will didn’t want to take his position, he simply wanted to be informed and needed to know that he could trust the man in charge and after they’d settled their dispute, they were able to move past their first dislike against each other. Later on Tom highly appreciated William’s calm nature, the big guy seeming to have a softer and almost philosophical side to him and they’d spent many nights talking, about life, the upcoming mission and their families back home.
Poverty, corruption and the dream for a better life formed what may be the most adaptable character of the whole group. Growing up Santiago was surrounded by obstacles he and his family had to overcome. He learned a lot in his younger years, surviving was a trick purely based on how well someone could handle situations life tends to throw at one, nothing was ever meant forever and everything came and had a price. Many of his future talents came from the experiences in his childhood, growing up in Columbia, and it was only later on in his life, long after they’d migrated to America, that he learned to turn them into something he could make a profit of. Joining the army at first was about stability, to find a place where he could settle for a while, that offered a consistent paycheck at the end of the month and a roof over his head. His natural charm and easy going nature never seemed to leave him, earning him more than one warning from his superior officer, but overall Santiago enjoyed his time in the army for a while. Becoming a ranger wasn’t something he’d planned on. It was after loosing one too many of his close mates in a mission and the desperation of needing to be in control of something after that hard loss, that he knew he’d to improve of his rank in order to be granted the possibilities for real change. He didn’t want to stay a soldier of many, never fitting in in the first place and his loss sparked a dedication that pushed him to train harder. He turned out to be the best investigator later on, even though he almost broke every law he encountered on the way. Santiago was never a poster boy for the rangers, rarely playing by the rules but his natural talent to gather information and blend in was something that couldn’t be taught.
Tom really had nothing left when he joined the army. He never talked about it and the other boys could only guess the reason, but his life before being drafted seemed to be something that’d be stuck with him forever. Joining for him was, really, a last resort. The Special Forces Team seemed out of reach for him, he never thought that this was something he’d qualify for and it wasn’t until one of his mates told him about their ambition to join and the qualification process, that he started to slowly gain interest. It took a lot of carefully asked questions at his superior officer, that he started to consider taking a chance and trying to get in as well. Tom kept this thought, as he did many things at the time, to himself, training alone, at times where he was sure none of his roommates would interrupt him and shying away with excuses when being asked what he planned on doing next, answering that he might extend his contract as a simple soldier, even though by then the dream of getting drafted was strong enough to keep him laying awake at night. The taste of a small chance felt almost real on his tongue and almost didn’t dare to dream that he could built something great for himself for once. He’d never forgotten the day his name was called, hot pride filling his chest, cheeks burning with confirmation, that yes, he was good enough. The rush of confidence he gained that day stuck around with him until the end of his deployment and his past self, insecure little Tom that first joined the army, vanished in that exact moment.
Stumbling into the army on a second chance, was none other than Francisco. He failed his flying license as a normal pilot just a couple weeks before signing up, leaving him drowning his sorrows for four nights in a row. On the fifth day he woke up with a hangover and his girlfriend standing at the end of his bed, declaring to leave him if he touched a single drop of alcohol for the next week. He nursed his pounding headache in a café with sunglasses and two Advil that day, grumbling at the staff, and whoever seemed to listen to him, about failing his dreams and his life being destroyed. It was an annoyed waitress that handed him the idea of trying out for the army, her brother just signed up a couple of days ago and they’d always seemed to need more people, maybe even an almost pilot. It took another week and the end of the month with rent coming up, that Francisco took what he had left (which wasn’t his girlfriend at this point, he’d turned to the bottle once again that week even though he’d promised not to) and make the decision to join, set on becoming a pilot and doing it right this time. Francisco and Santiago met at the first responder course, Francis failing miserably at keeping his dummy alive and swearing (and sweating) up a bilingual storm. It was a friendship at an “almost” first sight and even though the dummy didn’t make it, a strong foundation blossomed that late afternoon, both man not being able to keep their focus up on their tasks, as they were much more amused about making comments and cracking jokes. They later bonded over drinks, Francis having to promise Santi to never perform first aid on him if he’d get shot in battle, as he’d rather die then let Francisco make it worse by trying to stop him from bleeding out. It were the stories and the shared feeling of homesickness that night, comparing similar foods and relishing in familiar tastes. Both of them connected on a level that neither quite could explain. They just got each other and not having to have a lot of words spoken between the two of them, an easiness flowing between them that was comforting to both of them. Francisco decision to get his head straight and try out for the test to become a ranger, specifically an airborne pilot, really drew from himself wanting to fly more than a simple helicopter, transporting soldiers in and out of war zones. Even though he might give a different impression to some, his actually calm and collected nature was something very valuable as a pilot candidate, the fact that he spoke multiple languages and having an IQ over 125 outweighed his first failed flying license and his average physical score, leaving him to be the next-to-last soldier to be accepted as a ranger recruit that draft.
They’ve really all met before, at least brushing by or spotting each other at training and even though they all came from different backgrounds and joined for different reasons, being elusively picked for the Special Forces Program had nothing to do with luck. It was their talent and their dedication that got them drafted, every one of them signing up freely for the tests and they were chosen because they’ve proven time and time again to be best. Fish had the highest score when it came to everything to do with piloting and aerial strategics. Tom was the best and quickest to analyze a situation and to map out an unplanned exit route, making him a specialist for missions with a time sensitive priority. Santiago was an outstanding inside man, being able to hide in plain sight, charming on more than one levels and having a way with locals to tell their secrets and gather information as quickly and as delicate as possible. Benny was a sniper that every team could only dream of, never faltering, always concentrated and almost never missing. He was fast and sharp and dangerous. William was the well balanced of them all, talented in almost every area. He was deadly, fast on his toes and his one-on-one combat incomparable. Together, they not only learned to trust each others skills but really had a chance to grow and develop a rhythm as a team, that made the combination of all five an exclusive and highly valuable unit.

In the name of the White Wolf & The Dragon Queen!
Tumblr media
So I was recovering from dumblr not allowing my posts in the jonerys tag for some reason finally it seems to have worked out smh, like I did nothing!? I badly wanted to discuss the Ghost won't like dany nonsense but I couldn't coz you know dumblr! Here It is I've been holding it forever!
"The wind was blowing wet and heavy as they crossed the valley of the Milkwater and rode singlefile through the river camp. Ghost kept close to Jon, but the scent of him went before them like a herald, and soon there were wildling dogs all around them, growling and barking. Lenyl screamed at them to be quiet, but they paid him no heed. “They don’t much care for that beast o’ yours,” Longspear Ryk said to Jon. “They’re dogs and he’s a wolf,” said Jon. “They know he’s not their kind." *No more than I am yours.*"
In the books Ghost was with Jon when he was wildling's hostage as opposed to how in the show they made ghost wander off before Jon came across ygritte. Ghost is the reason Jon could kill Halfhand when he bites his calf but in the show Jon kills him on his own, in a single combat without any help also Jon uses Ghost to keep Ygritte away from him at night & ghost even helps him because that's what Jon wants, just like ghost protects Sam & cares for him because Jon cares for him & because that's what Jon wants. Ghost is Jon's extension of his personality just like Drogon is to Daenerys. Because the entire time that Jon was beyond the wall with him While he was a hostage ghost was an extension of his inner monologue. Outwardly Jon was playing a turn cloak for the Wildlings but only ghost truly knew he never gave up on being a man of the Nights Watch.
"*There were cookfires all along the river, amongst wayns and carts and sleds. Many of the wildlings had thrown up tents, of hide and skin and felted wool. Others sheltered behind rocks in crude lean-tos, or slept beneath their wagons. At one fire Jon saw a man hardening the points of long wooden spears and tossing them in a pile. Elsewhere two bearded youths in boiled leather were sparring with staffs, leaping at each other over the flames, grunting each time one landed a blow. A dozen women sat nearby in a circle, fletching arrows. Arrows for my brothers, Jon thought. Arrows for my father’s folk, for the people of Winterfell and Deepwood Motte and the Last Hearth. Arrows for the north.*"
This is where his undying fidelity for North comes to play he doesn't respect ryk, rattleshirt, weeper or ygritte! He doesn't yet know what it's like to be a ruler, a leader, he surely has those traits in him but still at heart being as young as he was (in the books) he is a follower, of his old gods, his father's words & his home of Winterfell along with his newest allegiance to Night's Watch. Ygritte wanted to change Jon's loyalty, she wanted him to help them raid & ravage the lands of his father & his fore-fathers but jon is way too loyal to his kind for that to happen just like arya is fiercely loyal to the north. Jon's & ygritte's goals never matched, ever! But Jon still fell for ygritte nonetheless he kept his undying loyalty to the north but still fell for a Person who reminded him of arya. And in jonerys's case by the end of S07 Jon & dany's goals matched. No matter how much people deny it by saying dany is still more focused on the conquest; night king killed her child she will destroy anyone who does that & Jon feels guilty that she lost her dragon because of him, that her house sigil is now incomplete because of him, there is guilt in her too for not trusting him. She wanted to help Jon in saving the north which is & always has been his goal. And to say dany's stubborn nature, rashness, bravery & her inclination to not only understand him but also to fly to a frozen, strange corner of the world to help him on his word reminds him of arya would be an understatement!
"*But not all he saw was warlike. He saw women dancing as well, and heard a baby crying, and a little boy ran in front of his garron, all bundled up in fur and breathless from play. Sheep and goats             wandered freely, while oxen plodded along the riverbank in search of grass. The smell of roast mutton drifted from one cookflre, and at another he saw a boar turning on a wooden spit.. *"
Jon idolized King Daeron I Targaryen, the Young Dragon. He was a Bastard who was hungry for glory the likes of which he knew he won't find anywhere in the 7K but at the wall. So he joined the ancient order only to learn of it's receding ranks once honorable men of nights watch now reduced to reavers, rapers, cut-throats, thieves. Nobody as honorable as his uncle or LCMormont. But he made his peace with the situation & the First chance he got to get out there & earn some valor & make a name for himself like Qhorin Halfhand, that which he was so hungry for he took the chance! Which lead to series of events that spiralled out of his control he ended up falling for someone which he never intended & he learned that the price for glory is quite high! At this time he was a young boy who thought glory was easy that's why he looks at all the battlements & instantly villainizes the wildlings. Only to realize with ygritte's death that there was no glory in killing the Wildlings so he tried to save them hoping to see the glory in that. Maybe there was glory in it being the first LC in the known history of the watch to have done so but the watch itself didn't think so & ended up taking his life. The path to glory didn't turn out to be as promising as he thought in fact it was full of compromising crossroads. His loyalty to North never died but something else awoke him; the openess to considering all human life equal & the fact that battle has two sides of compromising crossroads. He wasn't ready for Battle of the Bastards until he saw Rickon die up until then it looked like he was just going where his new life was taking him, he doesn't like fighting unnecessary battles unless it's against the dead & for the living. He's a better leader for all that & as a LC who wasn't afraid to do what nobody has done by saving & taking Wildling's help against the dead & he wasn't faking it! Even though Wildlings have been the enemy of the North when time came they helped save his life against the watch itself; similarly he wasn't afraid of taking the Dragon Queen's help against the dead fully aware of the era-defining conflict between Starks & Targaryens & still being truthful in all his actions when time came the Dragon Queen came to his help & saved his life too.
"*Can a bird hate? Jon had slain the wildling Orell, but some part of the man remained within the eagle. The golden eyes looked out on him with cold malevolence. “I’ll come,” he said. The blood kept running down into his right eye, and his cheek was a blaze of pain. When he touched it his black gloves came away stained with red. “Let me catch my garron.” It was not the horse he wanted so much as Ghost, but the direwolf was nowhere to be seen. He could be leagues away by now, ripping out the throat of some elk. Perhaps that was just as well.*"
In the books Jon is a warg or atleast has shown warg-like traits, by far dreaming Ghost's vision & inhabiting his mind initially he wasn't sure what this exactly means. When orell's eagle attacked him he wasn't brutally harmed but still he wanted ghost close to him similarly when he dies he called for Ghost. That was his last words "Ghost.. "
I believe everyone is aware of this very popular theory that before dying Jon warged into ghost. Like orell left a little bit of himself in his eagle, his most immediate emotion that he felt before dying that is hate & revenge just like Jon who must've felt the same before dying & his calling was more of a defensive move since all his other defences were failing, ghost was what he needed at the very end. His "Ghost.." was just like daenerys's "dracarys".
Daenerys & Jon's journey in taming their magical beasts & properly using them as the magical mythology of the WOIAF tells of a magical beast like a Dragon or direwolf were used back in the time when both of them weren't unheard of, all Kings of Winter had a Direwolf & some even rode into battle on the back of their direwolves & most of the Starks of the Past were wargs , that's how they tamed such vicious beasts like direwolves. Once warged into a Direwolf that creates a life-long bond between the beast & the warg. Similarly all the Valyrians had dragons & they rode into battle on the back of their dragons, Daenys the dreamer was a dragon dreamer who foresaw the doom of valyria making dragon dreams a recurring aspect in the blood of Old Valyria as daenerys had dragon dreams too. Also dragons natural lifespan goes past the rider but the bond only breaks when the rider dies before that just like the wolves this bond is unbreakable too. So basically the show gave us a good view into the journey of dany taming her dragons & becoming a dragon rider just like in the books but with Jon on the other hand unfortunately the t.v. show cut major arcs of his story related to Ghost.
Apart from being Jon Snow's Loyal Albino-red eyed pal ghost is very interesting in the books..
Firstly when the Starks discover their direwolves all 5 of them belonging to the true born stark kids are huddled together but ghost was seperate from the group. His appearance is also very different to other direwolves with white fur & red eyes. There is another theory that says Bloodraven often warged into Ghost. That many' a-times he used Ghost to get to Jon. For example when ghost brought jafar flowers hand warning the watch & specifically Jon about the threat of the dead, then leading him to Jeor Mormont's chambers before the Wight attack, in the books Ghost leads Jon to cachè of dragonglass hid by the fist of the first men along with the Horn also when Jon tries to leave the Watch in the middle of the night it's ghost who gives away his position by moles town, he stops Jon from leaving the watch. Not that ghost was never himself or always warged by bloodraven or something but yeah a lot of times he was.
Apart from ghost there was another, jeor mormont's crow who is also believed to have been warged by bloodraven.
Before bran falls off the tower he used to climb there to feed corn to the crows & after his fall during his coma in his dreams bloodraven asks him "... say got any corn?" So bloodraven was basically keeping an eye on bran through one of the crows.. When jon talks about Bran's health with LCMormont his crow screams "Corn! Corn! Corn!" & when jeor mormont informs Jon that bran is awake the crow screams "Live! Live!"
"He rose & dressed in darkness as mormont's raven muttered across the room. "Corn", the bird said &, "King", &, "Snow, Jon Snow, Jon Snow." That was queer. The bird never said his full name before, as best Jon could recall"
                                                                  -Jon AGOT
"Do you think your Uncle Benjen was the only ranger we've lost this past year?" "Ben Jen", the raven squawked, bobbing its head, bits of egg dribbling from its beak. "Ben Jen. Ben Jen."  "No", Jon said. There had been others. Too many. "Do you think your brother's war is more important than ours?" the old man barked. Jon chewed his lip. The raven flapped it's wings at him. "War, war, war, war," it sang
                                                                  -Jon AGOT
When Jon burns the Wight in LCMormont's room..
"Jon tried to shout, but his voice was gone. Staggering to his feet, he kicked the arm away & snatched the lamp from the Old Bear's fingers. The flame flickered & almost died. "Burn!" the raven cawed. "Burn, burn, burn!"
                                                                 -Jon AGOT
When LCMormont gives him Longclaw he initially refuses it so the crow says..
"Take it" echoed his raven, preening. "Take it, take it."
                                                                 -Jon AGOT
In the show they omitted both these aspects of Jon's storyline, wherein not just bran but also Jon has a connection to bloodraven. Him being Aegon & Bran being Brandon. Both these names have prophetic value in their respective houses. The raven stayed with Jon when he became LC in fact he is the reason Jon was elected. I was always pissed at why the tv show reduced ghost to just another 'pet'. But before getting to that, first about the journeys of both Jon & dany in taming their magical beasts..
Dany at first acquired the dragon eggs that were said to have turned into stone over the time but she hatched those eggs bringing dragons back into the world.
While they were infants she taught them as a pet is taught to take care of themselves, be able to gather or atleast help themselves with food & or follow commands by daenerys "Dracarys". In many ways dany trained them like she would've trained her son.

Whenever daenerys acts like a Valyrian or behaves like a true Targaryen & let's the Fire & Blood in her out by commanding her dragons to do what they do best. Whenever daenerys let's the dragons behave like themselves they grow closer to her. Their bond shows best at such a time.

Again when daenerys acts like a Valyrian during the sacking of Astaphor & truly allows the greatest weapons of war in the world her Dragons to do what they do best she brings them closer to herself.

And then as the dragons grew in age & in size their viciousness grew as well & they became harder to be tamed. While this was one of the many reasons why it was harder for dany to tame them but that isn't it. Daenerys locked them away for the sake of the safety of people of mereen like her ancestors who made the Dragon Pit to lock away their dragons. Being treated as a mere pet doesn't do well with dragons instead of being captured drogon escapes while Rhaegal & Viserion are imprisoned. When daenerys tries to be a Queen unlike the Targaryen Queen that she should be & sort of resists her Valyrian nature the dragons grow apart from her. For a long time Daenerys tried to be a different sort of queen for mereen so drogon knew he wouldn't survive the captivity like the dragons before him & he escaped. But the bond never died as long as the blood of Old Valyria flows within dany she will always have a bond with the dragons. Drogon doesn't let her touch him until he returned to Daznak's fighting pits & in a way reminds her what she is & she rides him for the first time.
Beyond the books what also happened is drogon gave her a taste of who she really is, a Dragon in her own right! After which she burns all the khals & was reborn in the fires again which gained her drogon's allegiance.

I suppose there were elements of Jon's Targaryen heritage coming to play when drogon accepts his touch in S07. But it's not drogon who burns quentyn it's Rhaegal because quentyn tried to tame him without any blood of Old Valyria. Jon embracing his Targaryen heritage will be complete when he becomes a dragon rider himself. But before that not only does drogon accept Jon but also recognizes something in Jon, drogon already has a rider so it was just a moment of recognition. Tyrion has also touched both Rhaegal & Viserion but they didn't recognize anything in him except the fact that he isn't a foe & they didn't harm him. Apart from recognizing blood in Jon; drogon is now not only a full grown embodiment of Targaryen sigil but also an extension of daenerys's personality. That's why he is roaring while dany is roaring her bloodriders speech. They have truly become bound to one another! Quaithe's words of remembering that she is blood of dragon is complete now because she has truly become a dragon, she's owning it!
