You had been a part of the Task Force 141 for about 2 years now. You had developed a pretty close bond with your comrades. But, you always had your eye on one specific person, Ghost. Until, Task Force 141 was sent on a mission hours away, the military trucks loaded with soldiers. The mission was smooth, until one of your men made the wrong move and jeopardized the whole operation, forcing you to flee almost immediately.

Everyone was running to the trucks and you just so happened to be one of the last along with Ghost. No actual seats were left, so you had to resort to the trunk. “Bloody hell..” He cursed, Before jumping in and pulling you onto his lap to reserve space.

You were shocked. You hadn’t excepted this. You couldn’t believe what Ghost just did. You had no say. But you knew better than arguing or going against him so, you stayed quiet while you sat in his lap.

Soon, you started feeling congested. To get more comfort, you started changing your position. “fucking hell..” Ghost groaned under his breath. He held onto your hips and forced you to stay still on his lap with your head on his chest.

Ghost didn’t say a word. He was pissed off and annoyed at the whole situation of the mission being cancelled. He didn’t like being in a position of weakness. But he also couldn’t deny the fact you were on his lap. He knew you hadn’t had the best day either so he kept quiet. You felt his chest move slowly, as he breathed.

But, the day wasn’t so good for you either. Your closet friend, Sam and more had gotten injured and killed during the failed mission. You were heartbroken. But, seemingly, Ghost’s warmth and hold seemed to comfort you. You needed more now.

“ghost? could you please hold me?” You sniffled, hoping he would accept. You knew that your lieutenant would make fun of you. You waited for your embarrassment to come.

Ghost wasn’t one for displays of affection at all. But he saw you were sad. He wasn’t that much of a dick to blow you off this time. You felt him move his body slightly to face you whilst holding you. He put a hand on the bottom of your chin and lifted you up. Your eyes met, the moonlight pouring in from the cracks of the trunk illuminated him.

You looked up at him with your glossy teary eyes into his cold emotionless ones. “Come on, get it together.” He said bluntly, in his trademark gravelly accent. “A soldier doesn’t fall apart just because of a cancelled mission.” He had the same stone face he always wore. But there was a subtle softness behind his cold demeanor, he cared.

You could feel his cold heart’s walls slowly crumbling. So you decided to take advantage of it. “I feel so scared..” you whispered under your breath. You couldn’t control your emotions anymore.

“Don’t worry, I’m here..” He mumbled, sounding slightly warmer than usual. He pulled your head onto his chest, where he continued to caress your cheek.

His touch seemed to send waves of goosebumps to your skin. You could feel your heart racing. “I don’t want to be alone today..” you softly said, hiding your face in his chest.

Ghost’s gaze shifted downwards, the sound of your breath was soothing. He couldn’t deny how pretty you looked in this position. MY TOP 10 BEST BL COUPLES OF 2023

So I guess I'm a little late considering it's now 2024 in most places, but well, better late than never. I tried and failed to rank top 20 or even 10 kisses... I just couldn't remember them all or even choose... but most of my top couples have some pretty great kisses, so at least there's that! I can, however, rank my favorite BL pairings from 2023, so... let's do it! I will be ranking these from least favorite to favorite because I think it's more fun that way... Also I credited all the gif makers at the bottom but I did list the tumblr user for each specific gif underneath. If someone wants me to remove their gif, please let me know and I will so! I just wanted to pretty up the post a bit.

Also, to clarify, any couple on a show that is currently airing and not complete yet is not eligible to be on the list for 2023. Trust me, there were many I wanted to include!

Honorary Mentions:

Tinn & Gun | My School President

So, spoiler, a different GeminiFourth pairing will be on the actual top 10 so I didn't really want to include both pairings on the list, but I really did love the two of them in My School President. G/F just have such a wonderful and natural chemistry. The way they always look at each other just feels so pure and sweet. I really like pairings where one is secretly pining for the other, but Tinn/Gun also sorta had a hate/love ISH thing going for a little while. The progression of their relationship to actual boyfriends was just so fun to watch and really well done.

Dong Wook & Do Hyun | A Breeze of Love

I watched this BL so quickly that it didn't really resonate with me as well as some other series, which is why these two didn't make the top 10, however, I really enjoyed their relationship on the show. I love hate to love pairings and I found their backstory scenes really sweet as well. I also thought they had a really nice chemistry and there were some strong kissing moments for a kbl.

Jihan & Jaejun | City Boy Log

I didn't include these two on the main list for two reasons, one: the show is not over yet... i don't think? and two: this technically isn't a BL drama? IDK anymore, but regardless I love this series and this couple so dang much! I love the realness of them filming themselves and how their relationship is portrayed so subtly until their feelings just sort of emerge. They have some really wonderful and special scenes or moments together that we don't typically get on other series. I am anxious to see where the rest of the story goes and I hope the actors get another opportunity to work together. The side pairing is great too!

#10. Ai & Songkhram | Destiny Seeker

These two were so damn fun to watch, I really loved the hate to love thing at the start that quickly turned into love (Or I guess always sort of was???). The actors had such a great chemistry together and they had so many fun little moments and bantery scenes together. While the rest of the series felt a little flat for me, their connection continuously kept me interested.

#09. Ze Rui & Zong Yi | Kiseki Dear to Me

Honestly don't even know what to write about these two or how to explain why I like them, because there wasn't anything particularly special about their dynamic that typically draws me in, but I just really enjoyed the actors chemistry together and I really liked the progression of their relationship and how well they meshed together. Their kissing was extremely natural too.

#08. King & Eua | Bed Friend

Firstly, these two are HOT AF, and I really loved the friends with benefits storyline between these two, but more than that, we have a perfect character imo with King, who was continuously there for Eua and always trying to help him and make him understand how much he really cared. The show could be very dark at times but I love that King was always sort of the shining light for Eua.

#07. Segaski & Yoh | My Personal Weatherman

I can admit that the big draw to this show for me originally was the sexy scenes and moments, and while I do think the series could have done with some more scenery changes and better storylines, considering the time frame, I enjoyed watching the relationship between the two characters develop. It's nice to get a friends with benefits type of relationship and see how it progresses into more than that. And for a JBL it was nice to see some high heat with a happy ending.

#06. Su Yu & Wu Bi | Stay With Me

SIGH. THESE TWO. So I mean, I understand the criticism of this show and their relationship. So many things are implied but personally I felt like the end half made it pretty clear that these two were 100% a romantic couple. (just wish it was clarified when that change happened) But the progression of their relationship from hate to love was so beautiful to watch. Even if it was just a friendship it was worth it imo to see how close they got. Fair warning, the finale episode is not the best lmao, but I hope we get a second season to sort of fix it? Fingers crossed on that one.

#05. Wan & Ki Tae | Our Dating Sim

This was definitely one of the cutest BL's of the year and this couple falls into that category well too. I really loved seeing them re-connect. I love that they were old best friends (with feelings) that had a lot of issues to sort through and we saw some adorable flashback scenes as well as current scenes. I also love that they got together and were mostly happy instead of having a lot of intense drama.

#04. Li Ming & Heart | Moonlight Chicken

These two... so much to say about them and yet I don't really know where to start. Gemini and Fourth just work so well together and I felt like this duo was even deeper than in MSP. They started out on bad terms but quickly became close and I really loved the progression of their relationship and then I adored how we also got to see them together as a couple too. My favorite thing about them was how hard Li Ming worked to try to understand Heart and how he learned sign language for him and encouraged him to get to know others like him and to put himself out there. They also had such a fun banter with playful moments and scenes. It was just so damn pure and sweet to watch with no unnecessary or stupid fillery drama.

#03. Jae Won and Ji Hyun | The Eighth Sense

Something about this pairing just felt so much different than the typical KBL pairing. The show itself was so much deeper and had a more serious tone than we typically get, which was amazing. The actors nailed the roles and you could really feel the tension and longing between them right from the beginning. I loved their storyline so much and the actors seemed so comfortable together.

#02. Yamato & Kakeru | I Cannot Reach You

This was one of my favorite BL's of the year and their relationship was a huge part of it. I thought I was more into hate to love, but clearly, based on this list, that isn't always the case. There is something so sweet and adorable about best friends turned to lovers. I really love too when we see one side pining for the other, so this couple was extremely enjoyable to watch!

#01. Chen Yi & Ai Di | Kiseki Dear To Me

Good Lord these two... they had the perfect formula for my favorite type of pairing. Hate to love, drama, tension, angst, one-sided pining... it was so painful to have to wait every week for more. But god, it was worth the wait and their chemistry was just so good, their kisses were phenomenal too. Def. a memorable pair and a show I will be rewatching very soon!

it’s getting to the point where any truly good and well, useful uses of ai generation is getting trumped by corporate greed, by people wanting easy cash grabs, not wanting to put in the effort or money, and just absolutely abhorrently immoral uses like fake photos and videos of people

it feels like because of all the latter, the good uses of ai doesn’t fucking matter anymore

and heads up, the simple for fun things like using it to make your fav character or person sing songs they never sang, or say things they never said, is also really bad. you’re using voices of people without their consent to do things they aren’t paid to do, which only shows big companies that are already trying to use ai to avoid paying people that they can do it and you won’t care as long as you hear your fav say something they didn’t say.

i like to think that if the college gang ever went in the dark world near the end before the fountain the chapters secret boss would kidnap Gaster (because ut gaster did something to ruin their life like in deltarune) and then they either save him and fight a secreat boss or just close the fountain and he wakes up with injury's and go "welp bye" and then goes scold ut gaster for a few minutes for messing with people

(also weird route will be ut gaster seeing if its possible to puppeteer Chara like we do to kris and then decides to do some mess up shit but in the end, he just resets ( i think he can do that based on the everyman comic) also it gets progressively worse like chapter 1 pranks taken to far (mortaly inguring people then say its just a prank) probably breaks Asriel's arms then asks him "you need a hand" and does something to Gaster so he falls apart like humpty dumpy then just sings humpty dumpy wearing a knight suit to in chapter 7 undertale genocide with chara and gaster as the final boss also charas remember so things like this happen

asriel: "hey Chara my saber got an upgrade it can shoot out stars now"

chara: (remembering dying to the saber so many times in weird route)

chara: traumatic war flashback

Begging all the people who use c.ai in the daily to sit and try to write their own scenarios for once. I am so convinced this tool is killing so many people's creativity, every day I just see more and more people who misinterpret characters and who flex canon in insane ways for no reason. There's no understanding anymore, most content I see (specially a lot of memes coming from TikTok) come from such bland stereotypes, they're not even fun to look at? Where's the content.

Begging you to consume more fanfiction, x readers or find a roleplaying partner. Writing by yourself and -actually- putting things on paper is so nurturing, stop feeding the ai and start feeding your own creativity

The thing about AI art/writing etc is like... I understand the urge. I fully get it, right, the wish to just skip from “i have an idea” to “i have made the thing” without all the work of actually making it. I think thats a fairly universal feeling.

But i feel like the thing that would happen is it would just be immediately meaningless. Even if it was ‘good’. If you can just press a button and have a whole new thing, what stops you from pressing the button again and again? And then you have 100 things you have found flaws in and they all bleed together and are meaningless so you just keep pressing the button forever and never really stop to care about any of these things you’re making, just keep pressing the button waiting for it to make The Perfect Thing, which it will never do, because perfection is a myth.

From a consuming standpoint, I think even for people who don’t realize it or even for people who actively believe that artists are replaceable in this way, I think even then, so much of the beauty of a thing comes from the fact that somebody made this, with their brain and their hands and their time (with their life!). That they cared enough to do it. I think even if you really and truly believe that is not the case, it is still the case. You still care more about rarer things, and art is rare.

And from a creative standpoint, if I could just press a button and make my next story appear, I just cant imagine how I would feel about that story. A shortcut to AO3 comments I guess, but would I care about the comments if they weren’t really about me anymore?

(like have you ever used cheat codes or game genie or console commands or whatever to make your character super unkillably powerful in a video game and just gone on a rampage and it was very fun for about 25 seconds and then it’s just boring because there is no point to anything anymore?)

Like i don’t write because it’s hard, in fact i often don’t write because it’s hard. But the fact that every sentence is some little victory over a blank page is a huge part of why I have kept writing. The work of it is why I care so much about the end product. I just don’t think it would matter to me that I made a thing if I skipped past the making. That I can look at the thing I made a remember the paragraphs that flowed out of me like ink and the pages that only exist because i ground myself down like pencil lead.

This stuff is all proof of life. I was here. I just can’t picture a world where AI could ever replace that. I don’t want to.

“Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One” review:

Short review

Really fun action movie that’s bogged down by a questionable plot. I give it a solid letter grade of B. But part of me is also thinking B-/C+.

Long review

Coming off of “Fallout”, while I did enjoy the seventh installment, the plot was a bit disappointing. Part of me wonders if it’s because this movie is a two-parter and we’re not meant to see the entire picture yet, but the other part of me is questioning why this was the story that Cruise and friends went with.

The plot is basically “find key to control big scary computer”. This might as well be an Indiana Jones movie since they treated this key like a long-lost artifact. While this makes for a fun adventure movie, the plot starts falling apart when the movie starts going into the lore behind the key:

1) So apparently, we built an all-powerful AI called “The Entity” which is solely controlled by one key. Yeah, sure.

2) The Entity is this sentient AI that just sorta exists. As the villain of the movie, it’s really hard to be scared by it when the movie isn’t even sure what the villain’s goals are.

3) The AI is written like it’s God or something. The way the main characters talk about the Entity makes it seem like it’s omnipotent. Or Satan himself. In fact, there’s even a goofy ass scene where a bunch of unnamed officials take turns describing the Entity, which made them sound like cultists describing their god. I can’t believe I’m writing this but the “Terminator” movies and “Age of Ultron” had more believable depictions of an all-powerful AI that’s gone rogue.

So, as a villain, the Entity is kinda lame. And I do get why the writers went with an AI villain due to how topical AI is nowadays. I just don’t think this was a good depiction. In fact, as supposed social commentary on the dangers of AI, 1) other movies did it better and 2) it misses the real world consequences of AI, such as loss of jobs and being unable to determine what’s real anymore.

Aside from a questionable villain, there are other aspects of the plot that bothered me:

1) Esai Morales’ villain, Gabriel, was incredibly underdeveloped. I just know that he did something in the past that really affected Ethan. Other than that, he’s just there to be evil.

2) Hayley Atwell is acting her heart out, but her character kinda…sucks? I’m not sure what the writers were going for with Grace. She spends the first half of the movie being a nuisance and then, all of a sudden, she’s forced into becoming an IMF agent. But the thing is, I don’t get why she was treated so important to the story. Yes, she steals the key at the start, but after she loses the key, she loses relevance in the story. It’s like the only reason why Grace stuck around the second half was because Ilsa Faust died and Ethan needed the help of the only other female main character around in order to do an undercover mission. So, while I hate pitting two female main characters against each other, it does feel like Grace is in this movie to be Ilsa’s replacement, because she doesn’t have much relevance to the story after she loses the key. Speaking of Ilsa…

3) Ilsa Faust was 100% fridged. I’m actually fine with characters dying for the plot, but the way Ilsa’s death was handled left a bad taste in your mouth. Unless she actually faked her death for the 100th time, Ilsa dying felt like a step back. And if she was killed off to make room for Grace, then that’s another point deduction to the movie.

Now, there was a lot that I did enjoy. I liked Pom Klementieff’s character (also, how goofy is it that her character is a French assassin named Paris) and I wish she had a bigger role. It was nice seeing Kittredge again since the last time we saw him was MI1. Tom Cruise is working his fucking ass off and is still putting on a great show. And, of course, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg are always a ton of fun in these movies.

That being said, it’s hard to look past the questionable plot choices. So, even though the movie was a ton of fun, it’s a bit of a step back for me. “Fallout” and “Rogue Nation” definitely feel like that’s where the franchise peaked. But, despite all my criticism, I am looking forward to Part Two. Hopefully, Part Two is where I’ll be sold on the plot.

End of year wrap up and what happens next!

Well it’s the end of the year, and what a year it’s been. I feel like this is the best/worst year I’ve had so far. On one hand I’ve really gotten to spend a lot more time doing what I love to do, which is designing characters and monsters for you guys, and on the other hand the world feels just all the darker.

Ai really took off early this year and it’s been a shadow looming over our community ever since. It’s hard to focus on work when I’m wondering if I’ll be able to continue it in the years to come. I also decided I was going to work on ttrpg stuff this year (another hobby I love) and if you’ve been following that scene you’ll know that it’s been flooded with controversy all year long. X’D

With that being said I’m going to keep a brave face and work towards the future. I love doing what I do, and I think it would break my heart to give it up. It hard, but it’s worth it.

What happens next?

Well first and foremost I’d really like to work on my own personal project more this year. I spent last year doing a lot of writing and plotting, and I’m still working on it, but I think I’ve got a pretty good idea of where I’d like things to go. So I would expect to see more of my own beans running around. (I will be making a point to draw them more often) I need to practice drawing humans more so there will definitely be more doodles.

I admittedly have fallen out of love with the classic D&D dragons set I’d been working on. It was partly fatigue and partly feeling like I was promoting a company that thought it was cool to lay off 1100 employees just before Christmas. I just don’t have the passion for it anymore so I’ll probably work on something else, or go back to monsterhunter.

I’d really like to do more with the creature club this year. (discord for patreon and ko-fi supporters) I had a lot of fun designing beasties for them (all the sketch designs I’ve been drawing have been creature club requests), and this next year we’re going to do something special with give away designs, the first of which I’m thinking I might make public? I haven’t decided just yet.

Anyhow I just wanted to wrap up my thoughts for this year. It’s been a crazy one. I hope that you have all been doing well, and that these next few days are full of rest and relaxation.

Here’s to hoping that 2024 is a little less manic.

buncha words about buncha spring animes

I've had a bit of a break from anime for a last couple of years but I spontaneously decided to watch some new things from this season and now have a burning need to share my opinions with strangers on the Internet. Enjoy!

Hell's Paradise (eps. 1-3) - I read the first volume of the manga some time ago and remember thinking it was pretty cool and could be even cooler animated. Lo and behold, here we are. Now, I have a bit of a problem with shounen anime. I used to gobble battle shounens up like they were spaghetti but I just don't enjoy them as much anymore. Still, this one looks like it could be a good fun. I love the creepy imagery and vibrant colours of the island, especially when contrasted to toned down colour palette of the first two episodes. I'm also excited for how the characters will not only fight each other but also the hostile environment. There could be some nice juicy drama in future episodes. I'm not entirely sold on the main characters on their own yet (I think of all the spring shows I've watched, they might be the least engaging leads) but I like them conceptually, so to speak - Gabimaru being a wife guy is very sweet and really humanizes him and Sagiri... well, I'm not entirely sold on her subplot but she's a sword chick. Love me some sword chicks. And I like her design, too!

My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999! (eps. 1-3) - I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this one, I'm not a big fan of romance, rom-com, slice-of-life, and so on. This show reminds me of Bofuri, or at least scratches some similar itches. See, I played one MMO game a lot when I was a kid (I still come back to it sometimes when I feel nostalgic) but I've never been particularly good at it. Seeing anime about people playing games in an unusual way, not power-gaming their way to the highest level but instead messing around with their friends just reminds me of good ol' times. That said, I enjoy other things about this series as well. For one, it's very funny. For two, almost all characters are terrible but in a very relatable way and I kinda love them. I'd like the romance to be mostly built on the characters' personal growth, I get a feeling it could be a very satisfying story if it goes that way. But even if it doesn't, it could still be a nice little series.

Oshi no Ko (eps. 1-2) - Man, watching that first episode sure was An Experience. We went from an old guy being creepy about teenage girls to this weird breast-feeding scene, then to some really interesting insights into idol industry (and show-biz in general) and THEN to the finale, AND THEN to what the actual plot will be? I'm still a bit on the fence to be honest but I'd lie if I said I weren't intrigued. I think the character writing and visuals are amazing. Ai's characterisation in particular was phenomenal. You know how you sometimes watch a series where all the characters talk about this one supposedly super charismatic and special person but you just roll your eyes because you don't see any of it? That is definitely NOT the case here. I couldn't take my eyes off her, there is just something so hypnotizing about the way she's animated. That said, I'm not a fan of humour and dialogues here. I don't like how everything is spelled out and nothing is left up for interpretation (I have similar problem with Hell's Paradise, by the way). But those are minor flaws and I definitely want to see how the story unfolds.

Heavenly Delusion (eps. 1-3) - Frankly, I think this the best show from this season that I've watched so far. The characters are likeable and they have a fun dynamic, the setting is interesting and it's presented very well (they're showing, not telling and all that), the dialogues are natural sounding and the visuals are gorgeous. There are some things I wish weren't here but I'm willing to look past them (at least for now) because the rest is so solid. So I say this is 'the best' show but is it my favourite? Hard to say. The thing with mystery shows like that is that it's very possible that once all the mysteries are solved, there won't be much else to enjoy. Also I'm a bit wary of where Kiruko's plotline is going. I really hope this series is good. Sadly, often anime that I think is going to be the best of the season doesn't deliver in the end and leaves me sulking and disappointed. That said, Heavenly Delusion is based on a manga and the manga is apparently good, so maybe all these worries are unfounded.

and finally Skip and Loafer (eps. 1-3) - I said that I didn't expect to enjoy Yamada-kun as much as I did so when I sat down to skip and loaf, my expectations were pretty high. I had to re-adjust them a bit though. From some screenshots here and there I'd seen before watching I expected a different kind of show, maybe a meaner one?But instead Skip and Loafer is very positive and cute. Both Mitsumi and Sousuke are very observant and empathetic characters and watching them interact with their classmates (and each other) is a lot of fun. I really liked the subplot with Egashira in episode 3. Egashira was kind of an asshole in episode 2 and when we see her again she's being kind of an asshole again but then she has this moment of anxiety when she compares herself with Yuzuki. And that by itself would be fine character writing but then Sousuke actually notices that she's feeling down and compliments her a little, despite what happened between them in the previous episode. It's such a kind thing to do and the whole show seems to promote this kindness and wholesomeness without being sugary sweet. In this bleak, dark, dark world something like Skip and Loafer is a real balm for the soul.

That's it for the currently running series. I hear there's even more good stuff though, so maybe I'll get around to it next week. I also started watching two older shows.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (currently on season 1, prologue + eps. 1-3) - This, ladies and gentlemen, is my very first Gundam. So far I'm pretty into it. I should probably mention that I haven't watched Utena (yeah, yeah, I know, shame on me), so I only heard about similarities between the two shows (or rather homages paid by GWitch). So I pretty much just take GWitch as it is and don't think about wider context. I really like the characters so far. Suletta is a little ball of anxiety but what I really appreciate about her is that despite how shy she is, she's always speaking her mind. It's kind of inspiring, to be honest. I often keep my thoughts to myself even when I want to speak up because I lack confidence but I when I see Suletta I feel like I want to become a better person. This probably sounds very corny, or maybe sarcastic but I'm 100% honest right now. Miorine is also great. Based on her design I thought she'd be a quiet and withdrawn type but boy oh boy, she isn't that in the slightest. At this point I don't know what the main plot will be exactly but one thing I do know, is that I love these girls and I'm rooting for them, whatever their goals'll end up being.

Spy x Family (eps. 1-3) - I wanted to watch it when it was airing but first I missed one episode because I was busy, then the second one because I was tired and ultimately I missed the whole thing. Now that I'm in anime watching mood again I decided to give it another go. I'd read a little bit of manga before anime even came out (2 volumes iirc) so I'm not going in blind for the first 8 episodes or something like that. And I actually re-watched the episodes I've already seen. There isn't all that much I can say about these first three episodes, other than Anya is wonderful and the whole show's a perfect blend of funny and wholesome. Man, so many wholesome shows these days. I wonder if it's a good or a bad sign. Anyway, episode four is the interview in the school. I recently reread the first volume of the manga and was literally laughing out loud during these chapters so I'm curious to see how it was adapted.

oooooooo please talk about "I Feel Your Blue Fingers on Me" and Trifecta Labs Lives! I'm so curious.

Will not lie, my reaction upon reading this was, "Oh, really? !!!" And then a smile with excitement haha.

Okay, so I'll knock out the easier one first; Trifecta Labs Lives was one of the WIPs I had no idea what it was about, and it turns out that that is because it's not actually mine lol. This was a set of notes I took for a friend's work (taking notation as they thought aloud in the position of helping them brainstorm, essentially) in their fictional world where a group of AI have gone rampant. It's really rather short, I think it wound up in my WIP folder because I just hit save, sent it their way, and forgot about it.

The other one, I Feel Your Blue Fingers On Me, is a Horizon Zero Dawn smut idea, oddly enough with another AI featuring.

Spoilers for Horizon Zero Dawn, specifically the Frozen Wilds DLC.

I never made it that far into this, but now that I'm reminded of it I kinda want to give it another go sometime. The premise requires a bit of background - the two featured characters would be Aloy (protagonist of HZD) and CYAN, an AI left over from the 'old world' who was supposed to just be an autonomous, psychologically stunted custodial system, but whose creators permitted a level of sapience beyond legal parameters, thus granting her emotions. Aloy meets CYAN over the course of the game, and learns that CYAN is really depressed and lonely after a few thousand years on her own.

So, the idea was based on the idea that loner Aloy would eventually form a relationship with CYAN, which by the point of the story's beginning would be comfortable enough for them to experiment with new things - in this case, playing with the idea of 'overriding' Aloy's Focus device, a concept in the HZD fandom I have seen like twice and never in writing, much less in smut.

Essentially playing with various kinks of corruption, subliminal messaging, dom/sub dynamics, hypnosis, etc., but in an ultimately wholesome consensual way.

The title would have been kind of playing on the idea of CYAN (whose projections are, unsurprisingly, blue) playing with Aloy mentally since physically doesn't work. The fingers are metaphorical; CYAN's projection is a large sphere if memory serves, not an anthropomorphic appearance. Funnily enough I'm pretty sure I last touched this idea before I realized I was asexual, and I wonder if my subconscious was trying to tell me something about not particularly being into the idea of the whole normal sex thing (I tend to vibe way more with the mental aspect of smut than the specifically physical, though they're often linked).

Idk, I just really liked CYAN a lot, she got a lot of good dialogue options and she's just so sad, you know? A thousand years of just doing complicated math problems to while away the time with nobody to talk to, knowing the whole world ended and you got left alone, not deactivated as you should have been. She and Aloy have the same vibe of being alone, so let them be alone together, y'know?

I think I fell off of the idea when my computer started slowing down and I couldn't play HZD on it anymore; I'm hoping to pick up a new desktop sometime in the next year that can, and I'd love to revisit the idea then. Maybe I'll do so before to plug the anticipation :)

That depends on a lot of factors, including the muse ( like for example Emet Selch is thousands of years old ), and the verse ( such as vampires, reincarnation, etc. ). I will NOT, however, do any form of NSFW shipping with minors, and I will not ship minors with adults. I will ship teenage characters, but that will all be kept strictly SFW.

3. HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

Anything that goes beyond gentle kissing and light touching.

Yes and no, to both. I adore shipping, don't get me wrong. I think ships area great way to explore characters and their growth and depth. However, I do not think a plot needs a ship to be a good plot. I'm more of a if it happens then it happens kind of shipper.

8. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?

Naruto and Sasuke, Natsu and Gray, Zero Two and Hiro. I will write these ships all day long, any day of the week.

Ooh! Fun! 😃

I'm going to assume that I have achieved unlimited power in this scenario! The Supreme Empress of the Earth, answering to no one!

First, I would make sure to have my council and the highest officials be scientists rather than professional politicians. It's incredibly important that laws be driven by rationality and research, not blind human emotion.

One of the first things I would do is to end all discrimination by the State. There should be no country on the planet where people should have to fear for their lives or freedom because of race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality or mental health. I would also see laws in place to protect systems, specifically, and make it easier to go by whatever names they choose to go by.

I would stop punishing many victimless offenses, such as those involving drugs. However, I would majorly tax drug manufacturing and dealing so that they couldn't be sold super cheap by legal vendors. Organized crime would be crippled, but drugs wouldn't be anymore affordable. And money earned through these taxes could go towards drug treatment facilities.

I would completely overhaul the prison system to focus primarily on rehabilitation; not on punishment but on training people to become functioning members of society. I would get together the best psychologists on the planet to find the best ways to accomplish this task, and use different facilities as testing grounds to find what methods help reduce repeat offenses the best.

I would also not call them prisons anymore. To reflect their new purpose in society, they would be called "reprogramming centers." And if that name sounds creepy, then it's doing its job of making you not want to commit a crime, because no one wants to get sent away to something called a reprogramming center. Even if it's nowhere near as bad as prisons are.

There are many other things I would want to implement. A universal basic income. (Perhaps adjusted based on local economies.) Free medical and mental healthcare. Better funding for education in impoverished areas. Too many things to list here.

I would also give myself a massive salary for projects that I feel would be outside of the scope of the government. Those that, if done by the government directly, might be classified as propaganda. I would want my own corporation which would have someone else as its face, with its hands in a number of different sectors. Gaining a foothold in entertainment is a must to ensure the propagation of positive moral values, just as shows like Steven Universe and The Owl House today will be hugely beneficial to building an accepting population of children who will carry those values into adulthood. It's incredibly important to support diversity of all kinds in entertainment, normalizing those who would be "othered."

Encouraging creators to make more content about plural characters is one reason I make sure to reblog every post from @/pluralprompts. The more systems who write plural characters, the more they share that writing with others, the more normal we'll seem. Others are content with changing to suit the world. I would prefer to change the world to suit us.

As Supreme Empress, I would have the funds to purchase my own film and animation studios that I could use to influence the next generation. I would also put my hands into video games, books, and make sure to sponsor independent creators who supported positive values.

Finally, the biggest flaw with any benevolent dictatorship is that the dictator will die and be replaced by someone less benevolent. I would not like to have my work undone upon the moment of my death, so I would invest great sums into preventing that. Ideally, we would be able to upload our brain directly into a machine.

But failing that, perhaps we could build an AI that was advanced enough to copy my way of thinking of perfectly. It could... introject me, if you will. I would invest in multiple avenues of science to accomplish a way of immortalizing myself. My ultimate goal would be to, in order to prevent my utopia from falling into chaos or being controlled by those with less-benevolent motives, create a way to live on past the death of our physical body, transcending humanity entirely and becoming an immortal God-Empress that could guide the human race for millennia to come.

Because what's the point of dreaming if you aren't dreaming big?
