Watched the Netflix Matilda movie adaptation of the musical and honest to god I have never had this much fun in a stage-musical-to-movie adaptation before those numbers were 10/10 *chef's kiss*

#I love musicals don't get me wrong #I've just never been THIS hype before during the numbers #They were so good #Sprinkle of salt to add here I never listened to the OG cast recording of the musical this is my first exposure aside from When I Grow Up #All my thoughts are about the movie musical #I've watched it twice #I do think Ms. Honey was criminally underutilised though #They should have given Ms. Honey and Matilda a song before the one at the end #Something that focuses on their relationship because I found the build-up lacking #They should have had more time spent on them is what I'm saying. More bonding moments over books!! #Or even better show how Ms. Honey can treat Matilda better than the Wormwoods by giving her the fun and childhood she never got from them #Because w/ the Wormwoods Matilda is a nuisance to everyone else she's this amazing wunderkind #Have Ms. Honey be her refuge from that.
