All Work and No Play

Yeah… Taffeta has a bit of a strained relationship with his father on no small part due to Dark Matter's meddling. As Dedede's carefree and lax nature would not jive well with the relentless conditioning that DM's putting Taffeta through to make him both mentally unstable and physically stronger so that he can be the perfect host for Dark Matter. An entity that thrives on negativity and power.

So, While Taffeta has a sense of respect for his father; He also sees him as a dismissive and lazy king who doesn't seem to take his position all that serious, unlike Taffeta's mother.

Granted, it's not just Dedede that DM does this with. It's just about anybody who might try and steer the crown prince into a healthier direction.

Dedede just gets the brunt of the deflection because he's always trying to encourage Taffeta to do something better for himself. Worried he might become so absorbed in trying to perfect himself, that he might neglect the people around him unintentionally.

WIP Wednesday Thursday

Hey everyone, I'm a bit behind but I was tagged by @thequeenofthewinter @ladytanithia and @kookaburra1701 thank you all! I also loved reading your wips <3

Here is the first bit of another elenwen/rikke fic I'm working on because it makes me happy and @dirty-bosmer enjoys it and, really, that's what's most important <3 It is NSFW so it'll be under the cut.

The ambassador is tired, her hands lazily running through the other woman’s hair, the brown locks feeling dry against her golden skin. She’s laying down, it felt good to lay down, her back aching from the trip to Solitude earlier. What felt even better, however, was the feeling of the tongue of the woman between her legs, finally reaching her core. Elenwen’s hips buck against the Legate’s mouth, as her tongue licks her wet folds. The moan that leaves her mouth is careful, quiet, not out of fear of being heard; but rather to give the Nord woman enough praise to keep her coming back. 

Their trists always went the same way, the pretense of paperwork that leads into the sheets; following which Rikke claims it’s the last time. 

“Oh course Legate” is all the Elenwen responses with, they both know it’s not. Her purposes of crawling into bed with the enemy are simple, first off Skyrim is cold and having a warm body to touch eases the ache in her bones. And the second, more vital reason is warfare. From the Ambassador’s perspective it is not enough to have the Empire sign a treaty, that was the first step. Now the true war can begin.  When it comes to the Imperial Legion, there are few standouts, most of the officials Tullius had employed were full of the same drivel most proud Imperials were full of. Duty, Honour, the asinine belief of their own inherent superiority Elenwen thought. But the Legate she found company with was a breath of fresh, in comparison, She is a dutiful daughter of Skyrim who can look past her own people and think of the good of them all. It was admirable, but more importantly, it was something Elenwen could use.

Spencer: "Well I guess that works out pretty well because I am crazy...I mean CRAZY in love with you"

The nervous laughter that enveloped me with this line delivery was something serious. Cause we keep talking about how Trina really doesn't understand the power she holds over Spencer and that continues to be the case even after the "I love yous".

She's thinking this is just playful post-sex banter but the thing is, Spencer is a Cassadine. If he says he's CRAZY in love with her, he means that shit. He is basically telling her that he will lose his mind if he ever loses her, and I'm not quite sure Trina is picking up on that lol. The sort of stereotypical obsessive Cassadine brand of love has always been at play with Spencer and Trina.

But it definitely feels like lines like this are sort of hinting at it being more unleashed now that they've gone through these milestones. I think we're possibly witnessing the beginning of the end of the deferential Spencer we saw in the summer.

I think the voice in Spencer's head of "I don't deserve her" has essentially been replaced with "I won't lose her". How that internal shift in him plays out externally should be interesting.

The start of the Sakuya Izayoi theme megaposting! Once again, Beepbox does prematurely cut this off, but aaaaaaAAAAAHHHHhhh I LOVE this! This sounds like one of my space covers, but it ISN'T!! (i bet you're surprised >:3.) This is actually primarily organ based, with hints of 8-bit and pads/synths. So technically speaking, this isn't a space cover because the primary instruments are pads and synths, but more of an organ cover that's very good at impersonating space covers.

Well, well, well. It has been quite some time since I last left you an ask of any kind (more like rambled forever on a tangent, but whatever lol). Anyways, this game seemed super cool, so I decided to return to Tumblr to do the thing... and here I am now! So onwards...

1 - So... this is very well timed, with you falling back into Arcane, but my favorite fic (beyond your lovely gift fics for me) was actually It Carries Over! And mind you, I'm not just saying that as a general sucker for 900 word fics (though that was a clear bonus, but because it felt so same-brainy in a way? The presentation, the emotional and relationship evolution between Cait and Vi over the three scenes feels like the perfect intersection between your style and my own, so it was very ooooooh to read and my brain really clicked on it! Of course, that was also a fic I reread (answering #12, alongside the gift fics).

Speaking of the gift-fics - both of those works, A Flower in Hands and A Brush in Hands, were super thoughtful and amazing (and were the 900 word type too)! Seeing you and @sliebman10 (who also wrote two super cool gift fics in my world... and I just realized I forgot to mention that in my ask to her oops, time for a part 2 ask after this XD) get your brains invaded by my idiots and writing pieces that are uniquely yours, even if closely aligned to my stuff, was really special and technically fascinating! Naturally, I've reread those pieces too XD

8 - The same-brain is strong, but the whole "building a scene in your head, and playing it like a movie" deal! I love how our brains are really similar in that outcome, but the way we get there is so different but similarly effective! But you already know that I revel in the details XD

9 - I am super excited for your new project! I don't want to spoil so much here, but after seeing you ramble on and on about the Lethal Company AU! It's always so delightful to see you ramble on about something you're super passionate about! That, and Part 2 of your inevitable Arcane brainrot, naturally XD

I see you're still gloating about my Arcane demise -_- But seriously, all of the Arcane fics were so much fun to write, but It Carries Over holds a special place in my heart! I think it was the only real angst I wrote for CaitVi, and I liked exploring the changes they went through and how the world had to change just so they could keep meeting.

I'm very honored that you like the gifts I wrote for you so much, but I have to say only one was planned. Beau really went "Nah, you aren't doing a One-and-Done, pal! Get over here and help me with my beautiful hair!" It's like @udaberriwrites always says, blame Beau!

Look, my brain puts in soundtracks and cinematic angles for basic fics! I hear quivers in voices and can see facial expressions change! My brain is operating in 4K UltraHD! I just wish it would do the same for my own writing, that is, for actually writing the damn fics and not just daydreaming about them! Though I have to say, our brains seeing nearly the same thing while reading, down to the color of the scene, is just eerie and cool as fuck!
