pedro pascal doesn’t owe you shit.
it is absolutely fine to be disappointed by his absence at cannes. i am too. but he does not have to be there.
for whatever reason he’s pulling away from the attention. the esquire article talked about how guarded he is and his socials have really slowed down. maybe he’s unprepared or overwhelmed by all the tlou hype. i mean his follower count went up by the tens of thousands the day after the premiere. that’s insane.
but some of you have lost the plot. the ones wearing d*ddy’s little girl shirts in fucking public and yelling d*ddy at him at events and trying to convince everyone whether he’s queer or not and complaining there isn’t an explicit scene of him fucking in the strange way of life. it’s not a gay porn made for your fetish. ‘oh but narcos!!’ that’s called characterization. read literally any article from almodovar and understand why sex isn’t the point.
interacting with paparazzi content and making cute little edits - jfc. that’s creating demand and supply and paparazzi know no fucking boundaries. man’s got anxiety and no doubt the paps and fans watching his every move are probably making that worse.
let him make movies and rotate through his four shirts in peace. pedro pascal doesn’t owe anyone shit.

Very stupid getter thing I’m thinking about as it’s such a minor detail but my brain is circling around how color is used in the series, more specifically for the robot.
Color palettes for your badass giant robot mean everything but the color choices in Getter are *very* important as it was the first-and few-robots to have multiple different forms in one, and are all compromised of jets to make the robot.
The designs needed to be consistent with this aspect, having the Getters color palette use all three individual colors of the jets. What’s noteworthy about the colors used is the robots almost follow using the primary colors of red, blue and yellow, but the blue is swapped out for white. This was likely due to a better color balance, as while the primary colors would work if the robots weren’t individually joined but still a group, keeping in mind the concept of how they form from jets the blue would likely clash too much with red and yellow, where as white makes it all smoothly come together.
Nearly every Getter set since tries to follow this tradition of using red, white and yellow in there palettes, but aside from a few obvious exceptions for Getters that were meant to stick out-like Neo/Go, as that robot doesn't run on getter rays so the palette was changed drastically to reflect its nature-the most obvious example of a traditional Getter breaking this tradition and going for blue over white is Getter Robo G.
While each and every Getter has its own factors to stand out and differentiate itself, the G line for simply having one small color change really sets it apart. Especially with its OG design above, it’s hard to not notice its version of Getter Two (Liger) had a color change that affects the whole palette. So people either love or hate G for this, even if later takes of its design like Armageddon, try to tweak the colors to be more visually appealing by keeping it strictly to the main color of the respective jet. (This also carrying over for Shin Getter in the show)
But why do I mention any of this? Well I was in fact thinking about this regarding Arma and Getter 2, but less on the actual designs itself and more so a rather small yet likely intentional detail: How Kei is associated with the color blue before it’s even shown that she pilots Shin Liger. From her own promo art with Shin 2 having her being colored in blue despite Go and Gais colors being their respective robot, to her pilot suits having blue shoulder pads to match with Liger, which we see before the robot even appears. (Yes I’m using a SRW art instead of a show shot, just deal with it lol)
This is such a small detail but the team likely had probably a rough idea of what to do with Shin Dragon, so seeing them giving small hints to the viewer-albeit one has to see a art of this prior to know lol-before it even happens is pretty cool. Just goes to show how much insane detail Getter has across its series.

I know the game isn't even out yet but I've already seen some really lukewarm takes about castti. I'm begging you all don't do to her what everyone did to ophilia. these are actual characters with agency and emotion beyond mom friend-ifying them

Welcome back, darling! ✨
Awww, thank you sweetheart 💖 I missed yall! Life just got super busy. And I've been, y'know, horsing around a bit ;p But you can still hit me up whenever in dms or discord, I'm always happy to hear from you!
But seriously tho, why is it that every time I'm off tumblr for more than a few days, some shit goes down? I'm gone for like a week and when I come back it's like
Can't leave you alone for a minute without everyone burning the place down, huh? Sksksksks, I love yall, never change
Also, the weather pulled the april fools joke of all time with a freaking blizzard and by going from 12°C to -5°C with like 20 cm of snow. So, while the traffic is jamming more than a garage band on meth, I can at least go make a snowman in my backyard.

Tumblr is like the random interest place, right? The whole shtick is that you post whatever goes through your head and so does everyone else. Problem is I don’t have anything going through my head

I love encountering the "I only like their '70s songs" queen fans because they're such a funny flavour of extremely pretentious
the way they talk about it you'd think their entire family was personally murdered by a synthesiser and/or a drum machine

Honestly one of the worst thing about being a poc and queer is the fact that the supposed "accepting" queer community is that for the most part they're racist as hell.
Let's just be honest, if someone is queer and white; they tried to get treated the same way a minority race would be.
Everytime some random white-ass speaks or do something with any flavour of racism and was confronted about it; they'll accuse that confronter of being queerphobic.
Which is, at this point— felt like the "white people wanna be oppressed so bad" done in a roundabout way.
Like bud, if people is criticising you for being racist— it doesn't mean that person is queerphobic.
You were and are just being an asshole spreading white supremacy retorict.
You can do better than that. You can be more open minded than that. And yet, you still somehow ended up being a racist.
In an ironic way, I suppose it's hilarious.

after i turned 17 or so i didnt have that many friends with common interests that would just go out like i always wanted to just hang out at the mall, get some food and stuff, but they wanted to smoke in the park and then go home. i still wanna hang out at the mall or go to a river and look for random shit in the mud but they want to go sit down for coffee for two hours or smthing. i just want to experience some stuff again, i only got a little taste of it a decade ago but that friend group fell apart very fast
i know photos and posts online arent always showing the whole thruth but it kinda hurts when i see people hang out and have fun and i dont get to have it and barely got to have it
the few times i actually hung out with people didnt always go as planned, i can think of only 2 times it was nice and i miss it dearly (even though both of those times i didnt get to talk much but thats the norm)
and also the fact i wont be a teen again and nobody my age here wants to do what i wanna do... and the answer "just ask people out yourself, dont wait" doesnt work here as i dont have a friend group in the first place
in high school i didnt have many friends and everyone moved and i only talk to one friend now
and in college it was just a shitshow, i made one friend who left and after that made no connections up until the very end of the last semester which was too late. best years wasted
i also dont get to hang out at other ppls places much but i get it that its mutual too? like i dont like calling people over but its always such a mess here and my bedroom is a no-go zone. absolutely not. but people dont seem to understand that i guess, so they just end up thinking i dont want them here... no, i would love to, but im ashamed of the state of this house

ngl it's getting rly annoying seeing people say "remake of x game!" constantly. people are so obsessed with the idea of remakes lately. they don't wonder what the next new game will be like. they just want remakes (including in franchises that don't do those often. not every franchise is Tales, where they've been doing remakes actively throughout its lifespan and not just during this Uwu Remake Era).
with FE, remakes make me a bit eh bc they've all sold poorly or just barely made a profit. Marth's games' remakes on top of the failed Tellius sales almost sent FE into its grave. SoV is just... there. it happened and the fandom moved on, save for the Alm and Celica alts in Heroes.
but like, it was so annoying watching VA interviews and just seeing the word "remake" thrown around so much from the chat. people want "remakes" of games that just don't need them. updated ports is one thing, but entire remakes?
there's more to FE than remakes, but it's all people seem to talk about. I'd like Tellius ports as much as the next girl for people's accessibility (and specifically bc IS' lack of marketing destroyed those games' sales and now they're so rare they're super expensive), but a remake? it's not necessary. even with quality of life features added, those games only need ports. I play them very regularly and frankly have way more fun with them than I do with modern day Menu Emblem.
also, I don't want the fandom wank carrying over into remakes of games that never even had wank. the biggest wank Tellius ever had was the Ike vs Micaiah wars in the fandom, which were not only a fraction of what happens now post Fodlan games but also weren't anywhere near as aggressive.
idk I'm just tired of remake this, remake that. it's also because of the rampant remakes in the industry that I'm tired of it, but it's also tiring to see it constantly in this fandom. I'm glad that FE7 is coming back, but as a port on the Switch and still as a GBA game. FE4? super glad it came back as a port (JP eShop only). remakes though? too tired of the concept (especially when FE remakes have not only almost killed the franchise from lack of sales but were otherwise just mediocre and moved on from pretty quickly). I also don't trust the FE fandom with remakes at this point. character hate is so rampant in this fandom that for the life of me I don't even want Tellius ports if it's going to save me the headache and aggravation from people's lack of character comprehension. :') that shit will turn me into a hard stan and my blog will have to be painted in my blorbo just to keep haters away. :'''')

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if someone gives you genuine critique when you ask for it, you should just consider what they say.
Like for singing. The biggest key factors for singing is literally just volume and confidence. If you sing with hesitation and mumble or whisper it, it is not going to sound good. You also need more volume the higher you sing.
If you're really nervous, it could also affect your performance. Similar to doing a presentation or doing public speaking, your body trembles, your voice gets tight, and your voice doesn't sound natural, right? It's the same with singing.
And, as silly as this may sound to some, breathing properly is also important. When you sing, you breathe through your diaphragm.
Posture is important. You can't breathe through your diaphragm if you're slouched over, or your shoulders are curled in. Don't stand like a soldier, but stand up tall, but don't stand stiffly. Relax.
Sing with both your chest voice and your head voice. Hone your skills with both of them.
Practice the scale. Going up and down normally, do note jumping...these things help when you have a song that requires note jumps. You can't sing a complicated song if you don't practice the basics.
