“this is vindication for a lot of people who have truly suffered.” i’ve been sitting here trying to think of what to say and how to put it into words. my reactions are very much delayed due to shock and disbelief, but the good kind. it’s just started to hit me. just like with obama’s elections, i’ve been going back and forth between crying tears of joy and celebrating with laughs and a huge smile. this is the true definition of what fighting the good fight is, til the very end, even when odds, hate and true evil were against us. every bit of election awareness, knowing your candidates, turning non-believers to believers, non-voters to voters, getting millions registered and to the polls was not in vain! we did it! every one of us who voted and volunteered, know you made a difference, this happened because of you! seeing all the little girls of color celebrating makes it so much better. over 200 million people have collectively sighed with relief, we can now breathe, our hope is back and we are anticipating the good changes instead of fear. this feels like the end of an avengers movie! we literally put a stop to an evil, racist, dictator, a true antagonist. and the greatest victory of all is to see a woman in one of the highest positions of our country. who would’ve thought that the first woman would be a woman of color; and not only that she’s a black and south asian, blasian, multiracial woman of jamaican and indian descent!!! so many of us feel seen through this one woman! i know i do. its also great to see some republicans and democrats celebrating together! congratulations @kamalaharris, you’ve truly made history along with our fave @barackobama. we know you and @joebiden will continue what he started, pick up the pieces and repair all of what the tangerine administration tried to destroy! our work doesn’t stop here! this is just step 1, but a very huge step in the right direction. but for now let’s celebrate! get as loud and ratchet as you can lol but remember, be safe! we deserve it! 💙❤️🤍🇺🇸 #mixedhistory #blackhistory #kamalaharris #joebiden #shebelievedshecouldsoshedid #weareourancestorswildestdreams #mixedgirlvictory (at United States) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHTtv1Wl5FV/?igshid=13pvlabya8byz
