Castle resides in the Nether Wastes region

Oversees all the Nether capitals/kingdoms/demon kind

And business concerning the Overworld's access to the Nether

Tina- Princess of the Seven Capital Vices

Castle resides in Warped Forest region

7 deadly sins reflect the Seven Capital Vices (regions) and are named: Avaritia, Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, Acedia, Vanagloria

Helps Mouse with matters concerning demon kind/the kingdom's subjects

Bad- Prince of Death (Grim Reaper)

Castle resides in the Soulsand Valley

Also has connections and access over ancient cities/deep dark

Mostly rules over matters concerning dead mortals/making sure souls pass properly

Bad's role is like Hades' in greek mythology basically

Yangdding- Highest ranking demon general

Main fortress resides in the Crimson Forests

Leads Mouse's armies

Has a lot of experience exploring the different biomes, fighting, and resolving conflicts between demons

Still a part of demon nobility but doesn't "rule" over anything, so no royal title

Basically a brief summary of how the Nether Kingdom works:

Demons are still looked down upon by many people from the Overworld, but that's mainly due to the many millenia of tyrannical demon rulers and the power they abused to instill fear into the people of the Overworld. Eventually, the Nether Kingdom became impoverished because of the corrupt governing, until IronMouse- a "lowly demon" stepped in to try to change things. A civil war ensued, but the rebellion led by Mouse, Bad, and Tina won and Mouse took the throne as the new Demon Queen.

She changed a lot of things including how long a ruler should stay in power, since technically, one crowned demon can rule forever. Mouse declared that demon rulers can stay in power for 1000 years maximum before they must eventually find a successor to take their place. Mouse's dynasty has just reached its 650th year when the story takes place. Ironmouse wants to establish peace with the people of the Overworld, and they mainly stay out of Overworld wars. That is, until the ancient conflict between demons and vampires arises and escalates once more...

I want to go over the vampires and Bagi's role, but I think that requires a separate post XD

Actually I am sort of interested in Jaden/Johan but in the sense that they would start dating after S3 because after all they went through all that shit for each other and they have the chance now but it sort of feels almost obligatory and after the honeymoon infatuation wears off it turns out that they were like 18 and barely knew each other and aren't actually super compatible, also the demonic entity that tormented Johan for who knows how long still lives in Jaden's head and is a non-negotiable member of this relationship, which, wow baggage? And then eventually Johan gently dumps him and goes back to Scandinavia and Judai spends the next few weeks sulking about it. I think it would be fun to watch Jaden Yuki get dumped.

I made the mistake of scrolling the dash last night, hoping to re-engage my Loki fandom feels, only to be reminded of why I've more or less quit this fandom - which, for the record, is bc I don't know if it's purity culture or "woke" culture or just "for the love of god, I'm begging you to touch grass" culture, but I'd like to engage with my blorbo without running into posts spouting takes like "saying Loki has small, slender hands is a feminization kink (and therefore bad)." Like?? I think there's something inherently anti-genderfluidity(?) to assume that men can't have small, slender hands or that having small, slender hands is automatically a feminine trait, and also Loki does have small, slender hands, and also even if it is being written as some kind of a kink, so what? Why are we kink-shaming?

I mean, I don't know, it just seems like there are more and more and more things that are being shamed, or criticized, based on an arbitrary sense of morality that undermines fiction as a creative, explorative form of art and it's just beyond exhausting - and fucking obnoxious - at this point.

its like. ugh. i dont think saying it is bad in and of itself but it feels really awful to read/interact with bcs its only ever done as a fandom joke about how kaeyas just so much better, and not as an exploration of character or of diluc's own, canon feelings

I finished Raincode chapter 5.

uerhfhgh. no. literally one of the things i said to my friends as i first started the chapter was that I hope the game wouldnt end with shinigamis and yumas pact ending. guh. AND THE GOODBYE KISS. NOOOOOOO

I didn't expect like to be genuinely invested in Shinigamis and Yumas partnership, but they we're just so cooperative and soft this chapter I can't take it

I called the "everyone was killed and replaced by a humonculi" and the meatbun twist pretty early into the chapter, I felt so smart even though it was likely easy to deduce seeing as its one of the first things you figure out in the mystery labyrinth

I ALSO predicted that Makoto was the humonculi of Number One, what i DIDNT expect was that YUMA WAS NUMBER ONE. WOW. I felt so much for Yuma like what an identity crisis

also the ending...

Yakous still dead, Yuma has his memories back and isn't the same Yuma I've grown to love, Shinigamis pact is over, the Nocturnal Detective Agency is now abandoned and empty

I can't be mad at the ending, it makes sense, it delivers on what it wants to deliver, its a decent conclusion, but GOD DAMN IT I just want everybody to be okay and being good ol detectives together and Yumas an amnesiac with his little ghost partner... I kinda wanna write a self indulgent fic but idk if I have the willpower for that.

I will say playing as Kurumi in the epilogue surprised me, and the after credits cutscene was interesting. I also checked the eshop to look at the DLC and the first one releases tomorrow I'm pretty sure?? so that's interesting timing on my part
