Everything I loved about THAT scene:

WE FINALLY GOT EZRA BRIDGER

His bright blue eyes

How his first words were I knew I could count on you just like in his holomessages

How big he smiled at Sabine after their hug

He’s SO HAPPY

Even before then when he’s trying to play it cool and is all “sure took you long enough” he is CLEARLY holding back a huge grin

How quickly he and Sabine got into bantering mode

The little drop of uncertainty in his voice and how his smile dropped so damn fast when he said “didn’t it?” for the second time

Cuz y’all he didn’t KNOW. For ten years he had no idea if his sacrifice paid off

THE HUG I HAVE BEEN DREAMING OF THAT HUG FOR 2024 DAYS

How fast he knows something is up when Sabine hedges his question about how she got there

especially that little “mm?” when she continues to avoid the question

But also how fast he lets it go because he’s just so happy to see her

The one shot when the scars on his cheek stand out so much

That he’s learned the language of the little rock people

That he made a Rebellion symbol necklace for that one little dude

“Sabine…thanks for coming” because wow yeah after ten years he must have wondered if they’d given up looking but yet he always kept that hope

“I can’t wait to go home” cuz yeah there’s tension because of Sabine’s secret but from his perspective he just can’t wait to see his family again and that is so beautiful

The fact that he’s still Ezra. I was getting real nervous about all the theories that he would have turned to the dark side or would just be different but so far he’s so very much Ezra

"Why's it necessary to have transphobes calling X character their deadname-" To show exactly what we face. That it is ugly and unnecessary. To parallel their grandmum fumbling but doing their best. To show how I still have to hear my birth name in legal settings. To show that my mom isn't really an ally but is trying for my sake. to show humanity and that it isn't just easy A B C the character is This without even Trying. To connect with a varied audience. Why the entirety of fuck do you want it sugar coated and dumbed down for you? In a perfect world yes it DOESN'T MATTER. But for how often it does matter - IT MATTERS. It matters that I get to see this character facing the harship I have faced AND SHRUGGING IT OFF. It does MATTER that their family accepts them even if they struggle with correcting the pronoun they use. The Star Beast handled this correctly and I'm glad our LGBT rep producer handled this the way he did. I'm sorry that the younger generations don't appreciate this the way I do.
