reread aurora comic again and it is nuts that octave and falst are just the same person. octave is just like if instead of finding a friend group falst met one nice boygirl who is like if a boy is a girl who is a boy in a dress and decided that actually this person is the ONLY good person, who they will fight and die for, and who they are completely borrowing a moral compass from, and to that end they will abandon the good person to endlessly undergo the trials and overthrow the government about it. because that's what the good person would want them to do. that's what makes them so good and worthy of their loyalty. they're doing this revolution for THEM. (that is not what the good person wants them to do. because the good person talks a big paragon game and does care about everyone but on a very real level is deeply selfish and just wants people to stay with them. but they will never admit this to octave or to anyone else. and they're completely mutually obsessed with each other even though they haven't seen each other since high school.)

and for those of you who know octave but not falst, falst is like if octave was a tough catboy who lived in the woods with no friends and then GOT friends and then was like I'm going to break the exact same number of bones that I usually break about it. and also has a WILD inferiority complex. like holy shit. "it's whatever I heal fast" kind of a guy. will you dumb assholes be tactical about this and let me get blown up for you?? no joke this guy thinks he is expendable in the way that octave thinks is laudable

It's great. #The gender swag and non-binary rep in this game is lovely. #I sketched this out when I was in Act 2 - and as of posting this I have not yet finished the game so *please* no spoilers. #It is rare for me to get into something spoiler free and I have been getting my shit rocked by this game in the best way. #Yes I *am* taking another detour to talk about a video game I love again. I will have some fun crossovers. Trust the process. #I will also do my best to pitch this game as spoiler free as possible. Because you *should* play this game: #ISAT is a very lovingly crafted RPG with very fun and emotional writing. #The characters are great and the mysteries you slowly uncover are intriguing! #The way the gameplay ties into the player's own emotional state is nearly always in sync with the protagonist. You *will* feel things. #And it is not afraid to let those things be hard emotions! Do mind the content warnings and know your limits though. #As someone who sucks at video games I also appreciate that it is so generous with your time and keeps things fun. #Not to mention it is honestly underpriced for the amount of content in it. Buy this game. I need to spread the brainworms.

#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #kingdom of corona #scenery #my gif #this world has so many nice locations it was actually kinda hard to narrow it down to just eight gifs #i was surprised by how much detail they add within out of bounds areas like that waterfall in the 3rd gif #they did so good with this world every bit of it is gorgeous and fun to explore #sliding down that meadow of purple wildflowers for the first time was such a memorable experience #i love that we get to view the kingdom from afar and even explore the festival streets #it's very lively and beautifully decorated #i made sure to get a shot of the lanterns too. it's really cool that we get to have a battle at night like that #though i do wish there was an option to peacefully view them while being able to wander the town #it wasn't easy to get a clear shot of it without any party members getting in the way or enemies attacking me lol

also a nice thing about the finale for roman is that i think he was really denying his love for gerri after logan died, and he was acting so awful and cold toward her in his grief, but we see him fondly thinking of her in the video scene and the martini scene here (in addition to pretty much having a panic attack at the thought of being in a room with her as the magnitude of what he lost sets in now that his feelings are more cracked open) and you know what, i’ll take that as progress. he’s kinda getting back to his heart.

I'm hoping episode 3 let's Ruby see the dark side of the Doctor. I feel that adds a very important dynamic to a Doctor-companion relationship, when they see how dark he can be and still choose to travel with him early on.

Rose watching Nine drag Cassandra back to die. Eleven yelling at Amy "Nobody human has anything to say to me today!" Donna begging Ten to stop drowning the spider babies, and then again to go back and save someone in Pompeii.

Fifteen has been FUN and I know he can do emotional range, I've seen his fear and his tears already. But I want to see him dark, and I want to see Ruby respond to that. I think it would add a LOT of depth to their relationship and is something missing.

Plus showcasing the Doctor's flaws (selfishness) will make him a much more interesting character. I want to see some conflict between the Doctor and Ruby.
