"Y/n, want to help with research? It's one of your areas?" Hope enquired as she found you wandering the corridors of the school.
"One of my areas?" You raised an eyebrow, staring at Hope in wonder as she took your hand, pulling you along as Landon caught up.
"Prison worlds and astral projection." Hope deadpanned as you tilted your head to the side with a smirk.
Nora and Mary-Louise froze, glancing at each other as a core memory flickered in their minds. The day you astral projected and witnessed their deaths.
"Nice to know you pay attention." You joked as Hope smiled at your response.
"Wait, do you two want private time, because it feels like I'll be third wheeling?" You asked, but Hope tugged you into the chalk circle.
"Of course, we can't see anything when they astral project into a prison world, so we just sit and wait." B/m/n sighed, folding her arms and waiting as you, Landon and Hope were all sat in the chalk circle.

"Oh my god, what is this, drama class?" You blurted out, watching Landon pretend to be The Almighty Necromancer as Hope practiced her negotiation.
"I don't really feel like playing Mr Potato Head with his dismembered body, Y/n, got any ideas?" Hope asked, turning her head to look outside of the crypt, where you were standing on guard.
"Yeah, expect the unexpected. He might not resurrect in the prison world... with that, what the hell is that?" You gestured to the thing crawling down from the ceiling, a yell leaving you as you were thrown out of the astral projection.
"Goddammit!" You exclaimed, sitting back as you stretched out your legs.
"I don't think that went the way it was supposed to." "No shit!"
"Landon, what happened?" You asked, watching as Landon began to pull back Hope's sleeve, revealing an injury.
"What the hell?" You whispered, staring at the injury on Hope's arm.
"I'm going to get help!" Landon announced, hurrying out of the room as you began to cast a spell.
"Y/n what are you doing?" Landon asked as he returned with Josie.
"Pulling Hope out-"
"Like a magical eject button?" Landon realised, as you jumped back, hearing Hope growl.
"Oh god! Get Wade, I don't know what's happening!" You exclaimed, letting out a yell as you were thrown backwards by Hope.
"Okay, we're missing some details again." "So is Y/n, so there's no surprise there." Mary-Louise and Nora grumbled, completely confused about what was going on.

"Whatever the hell a berbalang is, somebody figure out how to stop Hope from turning into one, before she kills Landon!" You yelled, ducking as Josie appeared, taking her magic back to send Hope flying.
"You better be right, because if you kill Hope now, she'll be a fully activated Tribrid, and that should be her choice." You stated, wincing as Landon ran forwards, stabbing Hope with the enchanted pearl-bladed knife.
"It worked..."
"I need a nap." You declared, teleporting to your room after Hope returned to normal.
"I-" "What on earth is happening?" "None of this makes any sense."

A knock at the door woke you up, rolling over in bed to let out a yell as you hovered above the ground slightly as you fell out.
"Y/n, do you want to join D&D?" Landon enquired from outside, hearing your yell as an indication you were awake.
"Are there snacks?" You called out, hearing Landon laugh.
"Of course!"
"What's D&D?" "I have no idea, my love." Dungeons and Dragons." Nora asked, leaving Mary-Louise to admit she didn't know, and B/m/n to deadpan.
Little did you know, that wasn't Landon.
