Sova

The first time he utters the words, “I love you,” and directs it at you was when the two of you were on a duo mission together on Icebox. You’re badly outnumbered, with you badly wounded and Sova with a few scratches here and there. It seems as though your chances at victory are slim. With a grim expression on his face, Sova’s grip tightens on his vandal as he gazes over at you and presses a hand to your cheek. “I love you,” was all he said, his voice gentle as he stood up and ran off. You cried out his name weakly, reaching for him, but wincing in pain as you grabbed at your side, sharp pain ripping through you every time you moved. You could hear the sounds of gunfire, muffled yelling in the distance alerting you of the fight that ensued. You shut your eyes fearful for Sova. A few more shots of rapid fire can be heard and then…silence. Your heart clenches in your chest as you poke your head out from the left side of Yellow, searching for any signs that Sova was dead. Shuffling footsteps to your right, alert you of a presence nearby. You grab your gun, preparing to shoot at whoever decided to sneak up on you. But it’s only Sova, albeit a little bloody and battered but for the most part, he’s come out unscathed. He drops his gun, pulling you into a hug, his warm embrace contrasting the bitter cold of Icebox. 

 Chamber

Chamber often uses flowery words to express how he’s feeling. When he genuinely tells you, “I love you,” for the first time it’s when the two of you are in his workshop. Both of you are doing your own thing, with Chamber working on new weapon designs and you sitting on a stool, leaning against his desk, your brows furrowed as you furiously tore through the new book you bought. Chamber looks up for a moment, but in that brief moment, he’s mesmerized by you. He finds it adorable how your face is all scrunched up as you focus in on your book, some stray strands of hair hanging over your eyes. Somehow he just can’t take his eyes off of you. You absentmindedly brush it away, continuing with what you were doing, but the strands of hair stubbornly fell back down into your eyes. Chamber chuckles lightly brushing your hair behind your ear, his gaze softening as he looked at you. You jolted out of your trance, looking at him curiously, an eyebrow cocked up, as if you were questioning him. “Y/N,” Chamber cleared his throat, “I love you.” 

 Reyna

When Reyna first tells you, “I love you,” it’s definitely a spur of the moment, type of thing. Reyna’s words are quick and fleeting, blink and you might miss it. You almost have to ask her to say it again when she says it in passing to you after an intense training session in the training room. “I love you, corazón~” she hums to you, wrapping her hand in yours. “Come again?” you blink in confusion, unsure of if you heard her right, a faint blush on your face. She laughed softly from your reaction, reaching over to lift your chin so that you were looking right at her, “I said, I love you, hm?” You try to sputter out a response, completely caught off guard and flustered by her words. You bury your face in your hands, the back of your neck heating up, and you’re sure the tips of your ears are flushed as well. 

 Skye

Skye’s “I love you,” may seem absentminded at first, but she means every word that she says. She’s down to earth and doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to speaking her mind. Though the two of you are already together, you can’t help the pounding of your heart as she earnestly grabs at your hand, flashes you a bright smile and utters the three words you were hoping to hear. “I love you,” falls easily from her lips as she presses a kiss to your cheek, before pressing soft kisses to your hand, then to your knuckles, then your fingertips. You press your free hand to your face, looking away, embarrassed(in a good way) by her show of affection. “I love you so, so much,” she continues, leaning in and wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you in close. The sunlight that streamed through the broken roof of the Range dappled her face, highlighting the faint freckles on her face.

 Killjoy

The two of you are playing League when you hear Killjoy mutter a quiet, “I love you,” through party vc. You don’t think she’s being serious because when she said it, it was right after you saved her ass from being killed from behind. There’s a brief moment of silence between the two of you as you continue gaming, focused on the task at hand. “Uh hello? I love you, Y/N,” you hear her say once more, but louder this time, “I’m being serious y’know, I don’t just say it to anyone,” she laughed, her laughter reverberating softly. You stop, trying to process her words, “Are you saying that just to mess with me?” you scoff. “No of course not, why would I mess with you when we’re literally on the verge of winning,” she said. You could tell she was smiling as she spoke, but decided to leave it be, trying to stifle the grin that was trying to worm it’s way onto your face.

A/N : I’m somewhat back from the dead! Wooo! I mashed my foot earlier in the month and had to deal with dentist stuff, as you all know. Then someone I knew as a kid passed away and other stresses came up. I am doing better now though! I hope you enjoy these blurbs & you all had a great Valentines day. Sorry it’s late!

Chamber : 

He will ALWAYS spoil you. It’s not subjugated to just Valentines!

You wake up to a nice breakfast and kisses across your cheeks. After all, it is the day for love!

You best believe that he thought out every gift as well. You mentioned a shirt you wanted? It’s there. Stressed with work? You guys are going on a trip!

The day is lovely and the dinner.. Spectacular. Like the meticulous planner he is, everything is in place.

“My my dear, if I didn’t know myself I’d say you love me.. Heh. Of course you do.”

“W-What?” Your eyes creaked open, the morning light blinding you. Chamber’s sweet chuckle warmed your heart.

“Good morning, my dear. Happy Valentine’s Day.” The mans lips danced across your forehead as you attempted to wake up. You stretched your back, humming back to him. 

A board was shuffled towards you, Vincent dropping it on your lap. You raised an eyebrow before looking down. To your surprise he had made you breakfast in bed! As stereotypical and cheesy as it was, you weren’t complaining. Vincent’s cooking was always the best. The thought of him waking up early to surprise you only made you more keen to eat.

You leaned over to give the man a kiss, mumbling a thank you. Valentine’s Day would definitely be wonderful!

Sova : 

SUPER SWEET DATE TIME!

He would take you to a museum!! I like to think he enjoys learning about history/art in his spare time. Not to mention sharing & hearing what you have to say!

After this he would be sure to take you to the closest cafe and pay for your meal. He insists! After all, you’re his biggest present on Valentines! <3

You two walk down the streets just talking & reliving memories together! He is so happy to call you his.

“Reminds me a bit of home.” Sova said as the two of you looked at a painting. It was serene, the snow fading onto the ground. His arm wrapped around your shoulder as you two made your way down the halls. The paintings flooded your view, memories expanding in your mind. It was nice to see Sova so relaxed, not letting the team and his duties get to him. 

“This is nice, no?” He grinned, lips meeting yours for a quick peck as you made your way out. 

“Yes, a nice break away. Obviously this is the best Valentines yet for you. You’re blessed with me now.” You elbowed the man, watching as his face contorted in laughter. 

“Of course. And to many more, my dove.” 

Fade :

OMG. She is such a sweetheart.

Expect handmade gifts! She wants you to know how much you mean to her & what better way than making you stuff! It’s more meaningful.

She will be super affectionate too. Be kind, she’s so happy to have you. You’re her daydream in a world of nightmares <3

If you’re okay with it, she would love to go on a picnic date! It’s a bit cliche but she loves being able to set it up, eat, and spend alone time with you.

Please just spoil her!! She deserves all the love she can get!

“Y/N.. Happy Valentines Day. I love you.” Fade’s hand brushed your cheek, leaning in to give you a quick peck. You could only grin at your girlfriend, pulling her into your embrace.

“Thanks, honey. I love you too!” You squeezed her frame, wishing nothing more than to stay this close. Her hands rubbed circles against the flesh of your back, breath tickling your neck. Much to your dismay, she stepped back to look at you. A small smile found its way upon her face. 

“As much as I love these moments, I made you something!” 

Fade hands you some knitted goods, smiling as your eyes widen in surprise. She was truly talented! Your heart thumped as you thought of all the time and effort she must’ve put into them. All those visits with Omen made sense!

“Love, these are beautiful..” You leaned in to give the woman a kiss, showing all your bustling feelings. 

Killjoy :

KJ tries her best.. Really!

She made you a few electronic cards, even some cheesy photo books too!

We won’t talk about how she almost burnt the kitchen down in attempts to make you food.. It’s the thought that counts?

She would prefer to stay home and cuddle, but she will gladly do anything you like!

Indulge her in a lot of hugs and kisses and all will be fine with her!

“Y/N! Get up, the day has started!” KJ pushed at you, pulling a groan from your tired form. On days that she wasn’t in her nocturnal schedule she felt the need to wake you up. You turned, meeting eyes with said woman.

“Good morning!” She leaves kisses down your cheeks, head cuddling into your neck. You rubbed your hand through her hair, adjusting so she could be more comfortable. She was like a golden retriever always looking for attention. 

“Mmm good morning, love.” You snorted at her yawn. So much for waking you up.

Her breaths became shallow as she started drifting back to dreamland. She was always ready for a nap.

“Maybe another hour or two and then we can go celebrate? I love you..” She mumbled into your skin as she dozed off. You shook your head, whispering your adorations back to her. She was truly something else.

- This man would love to take his children (aka wingman, dizzy, and mosh) on a kiddy ride with you only to see your warm smile whenever they do something thats pretty hilarious.

- Gekko is the type of person to win all the rigged games, but when the stall person turns their back he cheats with his abilities. The person didn’t even expect it one bit, yet he still handed you the gigantic teddy bear congratulating you for being the lucky winner of the day.

- The two of you would spend atleast a whole day at the amusement park, until it closed that is. Not knowing what fun surprises await the next day, as he planned this huge event for the two of you to go on the fariswheel to have a good look of everything lit up at night, so romantic perfect enough to where the both of you could kiss! <33

Killjoy

- She definitely would build a amusement park in the HQ with the help of the others, but it isn’t just all done for you it is for everyone because you would be the type to share. Although she likes to take you to the park more because she knows how much you like kids and how they come to you seeing you as a big sister. :)

- The #1 best girlfriend when it comes to winning games it is probably because she is a genius and very good at calculating the perfect time.

- Whenever she goes with you to the playground her best friend raze likes to join in being a third wheel, yet it is so hysterical you can’t help but laugh whenever she gets hurt or does something stupid. Kj loves that you are kind to others and like that you pay extra attention to raze making sure she doesn’t cause any trouble just like a kid. Sometimes you joke around with Kj that she is just like a little girl and you two are the parents, as you can tell she is clearly blushing not denying it at all!

Jett

- Definitely wouldn’t go to an amusement park because she would get kicked out in seconds, but she loves rollercoasters. As you take her hand leading her through the big crowd just to wait in line for the newest and tallest roller coaster ever built in the park. Happens to be the fastest one as well, but Jett didn’t like it to be named that title because she was way faster with the wind than the ride.

- Is a menace when it comes to taking you on rides, she picks out the super fastest ones which makes you almost hurl + having left you nauseous.

- she is very affectionate afterwards when you had not been feeling well. The fact that when she did this is was cute seemed as if she was a puppy that wouldn’t leave your side. <33

My Drunk Confession To You

(ANOTHER BANGER AND ANOTHER YORU X READER FOR MY FAV HIGHLIGHTER)

Situation: After drinking with your Jett, Raze, and all the hot women in Valorant after finding out you have feelings for your friend, Yoru. Jett and Raze leave you in Yoru’s room to sober up. Who knew you’d confess to him right then and there?

TW: Mention of alcohol, fluff!!

“Hey, do you know anything about love?” you suddenly asked to your friends, cheek on the table as you fiddled with your glass. “I’ve seen lots of drama’s about love.” Jett said. “Are they useful..?” you said in almost a whisper. “Why are you asking about love?” Killjoy asked, popping beside Raze. You turned away from them, almost embarrassed.

“I like someone..”

You said in a muffled whisper. “Hah?” Raze said. “I like someone.” you said a bit louder, but not loud enough. “You like someone!?” Jett jumped out of her seat, almost knocking her stool down. 

You sighed, an unpleasant smell of alcohol brimming your nostrils.

“WHO IS IT WHOISITWHOISIT!?” Raze yelled, standing up harshly, almost knocking down her owl stool. 

A rush of regret and embarrassment rushed down your veins. You felt your cheeks redden as you tried your best not to fiddle with your fingers.

“I BET IT’S YORU.” Killjoy followed the other two and stood up harshly, but this time, her chair actually fell. With a yelp, she quickly placed the chair back to it’s positioning.

“WHAT, NO!” You jumped out of your seat, your cheeks flushing a deeper red. “AHA.” Jett pointed at you. “Oh, I need to sit down..” Raze held onto her head as she sat on her stool.

“No.. yes.. maybe.. I DON’T KNOW.” You blabbered in a flustered state. “I do however, question your taste in men.” Killjoy joked. 

“Whatever, shut up. Next topic!!” You shouted.

Late into the night, probably late midnight. You all decided that was enough, you all still had work, and you couldn’t mess up and possibly end up dead because you drank.

“Let’s get out of here..” Raze grumbled to herself. The three girls were about to exit when they realized they brought a fourth person with them, you.

“Where’s Y/n?” Killjoy asked. Jett looked back at the bar and found you hovered in your seat, dead asleep. Jett and Raze jogged back to get you.

They placed your arms on their shoulders as they dragged you up as you grumbled in your sleep. “We have to get you back to your room..” Raze mumbled. 

You were half asleep, a huge headache about to happen, your feet dragged the floor as your sleep-deprived state tried to keep you and your feet awake. How could this be worse?

Well, it could.

Jett and Raze then dragged you to the hallways where the rooms were situated, and then they passed Pheonix’s room.. and then passed Sage’s room.. and then passed your room. Jett snickered as Killjoy monitored you, to see if you slip off or something.

And then they were in front of Yoru’s room. “Is she asleep?” Raze asked in a whisper, doing her best to hide her giggles. Killjoy looked at you before nodding. Jett knocked on the door loudly and impatiently.

From the other side of the room, Yoru grumbled himself awake. Walking to his door angrily. 

Slamming his hand against the doorknob, he opened it revealing three- minus the unconscious one drunk girls giggling at his door.

“What the fuck are you doing here.” he asked before laying his eyes on you, who’s head was about to knock back. Jett pushed Yoru out of the way as Raze followed in the room.

They plopped you in his couch as you fell sideways, snoring peacefully. Jett then looked at Yoru, slapping her hand on Yoru’s shoulders. “Please take care of her.” she giggled before the three girls ran away, closing the door behind them.

Yoru sighed, before looking back at you.

He walked towards you, shaking you once.

“Mmhnn..” you grumbled.

Shook again.

“Whatt..”

Shook again.

“Wake up.” he plainly said.

Grumble.

“Wake up.” he said once more.

Your eyes fluttered open, an annoyed expression on your face. “My head hurts..” you managed to say, looking down. “You can sleep on my bed.” he offered. “Ryo.. is that you?” you asked, slowly looking at his face. A small blush appeared on his cheeks, though somewhat unclear to you since your vision was still ablur. “Oh, it’s just you.. Ryo..” you smiled softly. “You need to go to bed..” he sighed once more, grabbing your arm, lifting you up. “But.. I need to go brush my teeth before I go to sleep..” you said, in a rather childlike manner.

Another sigh escaped his lips. “Fine.. fine.. get up.” he held out his hand which you gladly took.

Into his bathroom, he takes out a new toothbrush from a cabinet as you sat on his closed toilet, almost drifting to sleep once again.

“Mm, here.” he said, giving you the toothbrush which was already rinsed with water. “Thank you..” you mumbled, taking the toothbrush and putting it in your mouth.

You sat there, brushing your teeth with closed eyes before almost choking yourself with the toothbrush.

“Ack! I almost threw up..” you blinked. The male took the toothbrush from you in an annoyed mood. “Open your mouth.” he said. “Ahh..” you said before opening your mouth. 

“I can’t believe I’m doing this..”

“Non, non.” you said in a terrible French accent which you stole from Chamber. Yoru looked at you, he was about to pick you up by lifting your arm to lead you to his bed.

“Carry me bridal style.” you demanded with a chuckle. “What.. no.” he scoffed. “Please.. pleasepleealspelplelpl” you pleaded. “Fine, fine, just shut up.” he grumbled, taking you into his arms slowly.

You pressed your head on his chest, drifting to sleep almost instantly. He stood in the bathroom, with you in his arms as he stared at you lovingly. He stared at you with absolute admiration, his eyes locking your peaceful face. The male smiled softly, his heart feeling it was about to burst out of his chest.

He then set you on his bed, pulling the covers on you.

“Ryo..” you whispered, just as he was about to leave and sleep at his couch. “Hm?” he said softly. 

“I love you..” you said in a slurred manner. “Hah.” he blinked. “Y/n. Say that again--?” he shook you. “Y/n?” he said, still shaking you. Someone save the poor boy. “Y--” he stopped shaking you. 

I love you too..

“Challenge after challenge”

Ryo Kiritani (Yoru) x Radiant!VP Agent!Reader

[Gender Neutral Reader]

[A/N] = Agent Name

[Synopsis]: A Duelist and a Sentinel competing each other, but it’s more like Yoru is trying to one-up the new agent because he’s either bothered by their presence or it’s something~

[A/N]: I wrote the reader as a Radiant who manipulates metallic elements/materials since I don’t see anyone else pinching in this concept. Now if anyone ask, I also realized later that I based this from the Avatar franchise.

[A/N #2]: I want to thank @hhurric4ne for their help and feedback while writing this piece.

[Warning]: Yoru being a Tsundere/a show-off, injuries from accidents, teeth-rotting fluff, and may be a little OOC (but I’m working on the characters and their traits).

After Agent [A/N] joined the Valorant Protocol, they met some pretty interesting people. At first, they felt out of place and was obviously anxious since there are others like them who gained abilities after The First Light. Though, they still need more control over their Radiant powers of manipulating metallic sources. Luckily, some of the agents were there to be their mentors helping them and able to adapt during the first few weeks at the VP Headquarters.

Everyone like the new agent, except one who saw competition in them.

“Hey fam! KJ and Raze rebuilt the MAXBOT.” Phoenix chimed in the training area with the other agents hanging around. “Wanna see who can beat the robot this time?”

“How about the new agent?” Yoru voiced smugly, pointing over his shoulder behind him directing to [A/N], who was fooling around with scraps of iron. “Me?” Almost dropping their scraps. “I don’t think that’s a good idea since I need more control of my powers.” Protesting to save some trouble, but everybody is now interested to watch how they fight.

“Come on! We want to see how you use your Radiant abilities.” Raze insisted.

“Ja! And this can be an opportunity to help you with training.” Killjoy added as she finishes some codes on her laptop. “We can always rebuild MAXBOT back but with future upgrades.”

“Alright.” [A/N] sighed as they chose their gun of choice.

Jett explained to them about last time when some of the agents tried to defeat the MAXBOT, they almost died and the machine kept winning until everyone banded together to finally kill it off. Now it’s [A/N]’s turn to defeat the former cleaner bot.

“Heh. My money is still on the machine.” Yoru retorted to Jett like last time they bet. The Wind radiant groaned and called out to [A/N]. “Don’t listen to him. Do your best!” She cheered for them.

[A/N] held their Ares close, breathing steadily and when the automatic doors slide open, they sprint inside the room. The MAXBOT set a target on the Metal-bending radiant and starts shooting. They dodge the bullets, hiding behind the structures and starts shooting back. Everyone was watching intently at [A/N] who then uses their spare materials to create a shield to deflect ongoing shots while witnessing them reloading and using their powers to form more bullets out of bullet casings. Barely dodging the flames blasted from the bot and getting hit, slammed against the wall, leaving a crater. The new radiant agent groaned, starting to feel exhausted, but push through to keep fighting. They ran behind the bot, yanking off the extra firearms from its back.

“First hit, first hit on the bot.” Jett exclaimed as Yoru scoffed at her reaction. “It was only luck for them.”

Then silence fell through. It seems ammunition went out and the agent stood in front their ruthless opponent but this is where the fun begins.

[A/N] concentrates and pulls out the deformed bullets buried in the walls with one of their Radiant abilities and shoots back at the MAXBOT in all directions. One of the bullets pierces through the camera, damaging the piece, and it cannot identify the agent now.

Then they use their abilities again to gruesomely rips off the arms and backs up. Reforming the appendages to a set of gauntlets attached to their hands and gets into a fighting stance, and dash towards the armless bot and punches great impact to the torso, sending it flying across the room crashing into a wall. [A/N] rushes over starts beating it, throw punch after punch and tosses MAXBOT out in the open. The machine was unable to stand back up and [A/N] throws the gauntlets aside and walks over to it. They pick up the former killer machine, then start crushing the body with bare hands from their powers. With the last bit of energy, they upper-cut the head off, falling into their arms.

“[A/N] defeated that piece of rubbish! More than peng!” Phoenix was blown away by the event.

“GO [A/N]!” Jett cheered loudly as the doors opened back up. [A/N] came out with the head of the MAXBOT in their hands. “I defeated MAXBOT. It wasn’t too much, right?” They questioned innocently like they never just destroyed the whole robot. Then passes the head back to the couple.

Killjoy and Raze were left shocked of their precious creation being demolished like a soda can. All was left is the head in KJ’s hands.

KAY/O, if he were programmed to show signs of fear, has his screen presenting pixelated sweat drops and barely containing himself from shivering of the idea of having to face against Omega Earth’s [A/N]. “Shit.”

“くそ. That was hot.”

Yoru mumbled under his breath and attempting to not blush from how cool they fought. Yet Jett and Phoenix caught the Riftwalker’s words and started teasing him relentlessly of having eyes on [A/N].

“Ooooh~ Somebody has a crush on [A/N]~” The two duelists synced together at Yoru who glares back at them.

“I do not have a crush on them. I watched like everyone else and noticed their…form was off. I think it’s better that I should mentor [A/N].” He excuses himself to save face.

“Really? You were never interested of mentoring newbies and you always claimed working alone is better.” The Fire radiant stated to Yoru since he knew the lone wolf more. “Phoenix is right. You rarely interact with [A/N] since one day and now decided you’re their mentor?” Jett pointed out.

“It’s only to be sure if they can handle themselves around here.” Yoru finishes and walks away from the two.

“That’s an excuse to get closer to them!” Jett called out as Yoru disappears from their view.

“Getting closer to them. Doesn’t sound bad.” Feeling the same blush growing over his face just thinking about them, Yoru brushes off the sensation and exits into a rift.

Ever since the day [A/N] annihilated the MAXBOT, Yoru uncharacteristically volunteered to be the Metal radiant’s mentor. He kept challenging them and denying he likes them while insisting it’s his responsibility to show off his mentee.

First, he challenged them with arm-wrestling. The Riftwalker almost won but barely lost his arm during the challenge since one of [A/N]’s radiant abilities is unnatural strength.

“Oh my god! I’m so sorry, Yoru!” They panicked and apologized profusely as Skye relocates his dislocated arm and heals it.

“Don’t be so hard on yourself, mate. Yoru will be fine and he knows it was an accident.” Skye reassures while casting his injury, which still hurts.

Next, he watched over [A/N] at the Gun Range practicing their aim, and decided to show them off by grabbing a Sheriff, then aims for bullseye. The bullet ricocheted after hitting the center and it headed straight towards [A/N]. They were shot back, cried in pain and Sage had to heal them. Yoru felt like an ass from that memory, but his crush forgave him and joked that they’re both even for hurting each other by accidents.

Lastly, the two radiants were on a mission together to prevent the VL agents from extracting Radianite. He made a bet with them of whoever kills off the most enemies owes them dinner, which earned him an eye roll from his mentee. Both fought together that their effects as a duo was so strong, neither of them won the bet. Though Yoru still took [A/N] out for ice cream for succeeding the mission.

As time continue on, their bond together would grow more, learning about one another and at times, when Yoru beats [A/N] in some form of competition, they compliment him on his abilities and effects. This makes him blush and the rhythm of his heart skip as an reaction while swelling with pride. Yoru realize that he can’t mask away his true feelings for long. He needs to tell [A/N].

“Meet me at the rooftop at 6.” Yoru informed [A/N] when they walked passed each other in the hall of HQ.

Before they could even ask, the Riftwalker disappear through one of his rifts, leaving [A/N] dumbfounded for a moment. “Okay. This has to be important.”

Later that night, [A/N] entered on the rooftop where the sun was setting, coloring the sky with blended hues. They admired the scenery for a little before finding Yoru waiting at the ledge with his back facing at them. “Hey Yoru.” They approach and stood next to him, leaning against the edge of the roof. “So, is there something you need to tell me?” [A/N] faced him with curiosity, waiting for a response.

Then, Yoru finally turns to look at them and spoke. “[A/N], I like you.” He simply confess. “Since the day you defeated the machine, you made me like this. I can’t go on a day without having you in my mind, and …” He groaned, with his face in his palm hiding his blush and embarrassment. “Why are is it so hard to tell you these things?”

“Yoru…” [A/N] then start talking, lifting his face up from his palm and gently holding him. They look into his eyes and continue. “I feel the same way, too. To be honest, I thought you look cool since day one but was too scared to approach you and heard you rather work alone than with others. After the MAXBOT fight, you kept challenging me for training as a way for you to show off and tried to do better hoping to impress me. Which I find adorable.” They chuckled a little.

“Now, I see you as not just the person I want as a boyfriend. I want you as somebody who I can trust, trained with, be protected by, and just the one who can be beside me.” They let go of Yoru’s face and wrapped their arms around his neck, hugging him while still into his dark eyes. “I love you, Yoru.” They finished their confession.

The lone agent was surprised by the revelation of his crush to feel the same way and he wrapped his arms around [A/N]. Getting over the shock, he replied back, “Love you, too.”

The two hugged each other for a while as the sun finally set and the nightly sky appears. They stargazed for a bit, enjoying their presences together until deciding to head back inside of HQ.

KAY/O : 

He doesn’t understand why you’re so shy,  everyone deserves to hear you!!

‘You’re so smart Y/N, don’t let those weaklings scare you’ (he tries)

He will realize that you can’t really help it and do tasks for you

He helps you order food, talks to Brim on mission reports, etc.

Overall, he just steps up to be your bodyguard 

“What’s the mission report, Y/N? Did you even get the piece?” Brim sighed, anger apparent in his voice. You knew that the mission didn’t go to plan but that didn’t mean he had to take it out on you! Your hands went clammy and you looked away, anxiety coursing through you. 

“They didn’t but it was Chamber’s fault. His gun triggered an alarm and she almost got locked in. You don’t need to be so harsh, Captain.” Kayo put his arm in front, pushing you behind him. You could only look up in awe at the man. He was talking back to Brim of all people? And for you? You could only feel your heart swell at the actions, he truly did love you.

Sova : 

He’s so so sweet and understanding

He goes out of his way to make sure you’re not put in awkward situations/conversations

‘Let’s go at your pace, dove’ - he wants you to be comfortable with anything and everything

Best at communicating and asking you how you feel 100%

“Y/N, you totally did a great job!” Raze threw an arm around your shoulder, everyone's attention turning to the two of you. You couldn’t help but feel embarrassed, shrugging her off. “I-It’s nothing.” You murmured as Sova grabbed your arm.

“They’re touched by your words Raze, but we must get back to work.” His hand squeezed yours, his breath fanning across your face. “No worries, my dove. I am always watching and here to help.”

Chamber : 

This man gets it but sees it as a challenge

‘No no, we will get you to open up a bit more dear!’ (infuriating but you know he means well)

If he notices that you can’t do something he will step in, hand around your waist the whole time

He’s totally going to tease you about it sometimes, he loves it though

“No, the screw I need is on the right. Grab the big one.” Chamber pointed towards a box as he continued tinkering away. You nodded, going to grab the item. Too bad Killjoy had left her bot in the floor, sending you tumbling down. You could only groan as you attempted to get off the floor.

Chamber’s laughs filled your ears and you rolled your eyes feeling the heat in your face. “Are you okay? That was quite an elegant fall.” You could only turn away as he continued to tease you, hands wrapping around your waist. “Is someone embarrassed now? Poor thing..”

Reyna : 

She will not let ANYONE speak back to you

‘I heard you were flustering Y/N, this is your warning’

She doesn’t know how you ended up with her considering how ‘scary’ she is but she loves it

‘We are so cute together, you are so sweet and I am terrifying. We are the perfect pair’

She loves you being shy and flustered and will do it on purpose sometimes

Reyna and you were teaching the new agents some tactics for the upcoming missions. The day had gone fine, until one of them decided to be a smart ass.

“Y/N, I don’t even get what you’re trying to say.” one of the recruits snorted out at you jumbling your words. It was hard for you to make big speeches like this and of course they had to point it out. Before you knew it, Reyna stood tall and proud. Her hand was placed on the small of your back, face smoldering with anger.

“Talk to Y/N like that again and it will be the last thing you ever do, I promise you that. You are a recruit and we are your superiors, I don’t care what you think. You will show them some respect.” Reyna’s hand patted you, your face burying into her shoulder. You loved her, but damn did she make a scene.

Jett

If she’s being honest, you actually freaked her out when you first bloodbent your enemies, quickly cutting them down and stopping them in their tracks. Bending them over to your will and forcing them to their feet. Barely flinching when you got hurt and in turn using your blood as weapons, carving them and shaping them as you pleased. There were times when she questioned whether you were human or not.

Of course she loves you, but she would be lying if you didn’t scare the shit out of her sometimes. She makes you promise to refrain from using your ability unless absolutely necessary because she may be young but she’s not dumb enough to not know that hurting yourself over and over again and losing blood because of it is detrimental to your wellbeing.

She specifically asks Brim if she could be paired up with you on missions because she has this fear of you overexerting yourself and just bleeding out. More than once she’s woken up from nightmares of seeing you collapsing to the floor and dying in her arms, but when she wakes up and sees you sleeping peacefully next to her she’s reassured that the two of you at the very least can live in the moment for the time being without being worried about if you’ll die tomorrow.

Phoenix

He brushed off your bloodbending ability until he actually saw it in action and witnessed it with his own eyes. He just stood there, jaw dropped in shock as he watched all of his and well rather, your enemies crumple to the ground in pain, completely immobile

He immediately rushes over, to pull you into a hug, wrapping his arms around you from behind. He presses his face against the back of your neck, and you pause, briefly losing control over your victims adversaries as you take note of Phoenix pressed up against you. 

“Y/N..” you hear him murmur, as he clings to you tightly, refusing to let you go. The poor souls that were being controlled by you take that time to scramble away. 

He doesn’t want you to lose your humanity, luckily for you, he’s there to keep you grounded.

Killjoy

“So tell me again how your abilities work? Fascinating! What Brim? Why are you rubbing your temples like that?” 

Killjoy is no stranger experimenting and trying new things, and she’s all for things like the scientific method, but she shudders whenever she sees you working with your abilities.

She tries to help you with your bloodbending by giving you tech that’ll let you know when your iron levels are low or something like that

She’s not squeamish per say, but she does get uncomfortable when she sees your enemies writhing on the ground, unable to do anything. So in turn, you end up toning it down, after all you’d do anything for her <3

Neon

Like Jett, she’s also scared of you and what you can do, but she doesn’t let it show as obviously. She loves you yes, but she also knows the importance of restraint and not letting yourself get caught up in your radiant abilities. 

She wears suppressors herself,  so she does her best to help keep you in check in case you ever lose control. Her worst fear is literally losing control of her powers and she doesn’t want the same to happen to you if you happen to be overcome by bloodlust. 

She’ll go out of her way to get some vitamins to help you so that you don’t become anemic and she ensures that you eat a good amount of food and drink enough water in the scenario that you don’t put a cap on your ability and just use it recklessly.

Viper

She’s no stranger to bloody and gory stuff, she used to be a doctor. She’s intrigued by your ability and how it functions. Before the two of you got together she would have experimented on you to see the extent of your abilities if she could if it wasn’t for Brim stopping her. 

She gets an odd sense of satisfaction seeing your enemies contort in pain, and turns a blind eye, focusing on defusing the spike instead.

She actually gives you new ideas for what you could craft with your bloodbending

Viper finds it the funniest thing in the world to see you terrorizing the duelists.

you’re probably the most important person to her in the world and she holds you to a way higher standard than all the other agents

so when she sees you crying, she feels kind of helpless, not really knowing what to do in this situation

when you tell her how you feel and what you would like her to do, she complies eagerly, happy because you didn’t tell her to go away but instead wanted her company

not one for pda but will maybe stroke your hand a bit to give you some kind of reassurance that she’s there for you

sage

sage would be the first person you would talk to about your breakdown probably

if you aren’t the type of person to say these things out loud she would also be the type of person to just notice that something is wrong

won’t urge you to tell her about your problems but will silently make you some tea and maybe give you some sweets or something

with her you don’t need to ever feel alone because even in her smallest actions she shows you how special and meaningful you and your emotions are to her

probably would notice that something is wrong as well but wants to give you some space to think about it first

when you tell her about what’s bothering you, she will attentively listen, spinning her knife between her fingers without saying something

if you ask for her advice she will give it to you, but if you don’t specifically mention it, she won’t; if she would’ve been in your shoes she wouldn’t want to be lectured either

afterwards she’ll maybe take you on a walk or a jog, just to get your mind off of things

so when you do, she feels a little lighter because she’s not that good at comforting people so humor is her only way to make you feel better

willing to listen to you vent though, she just won’t say anything reassuring or give you advice; maybe she will let you watch her work on her tech accessories or simply rest with you by cuddling

Awkwardly giving a strained smile to a woman in front of you who was too close for your liking, you glanced around the luxurious venue that probably cost more than your life savings.

Aureate chandeliers hung flamboyantly from the ceiling, the lights bouncing off the walls delicately as they reflected pearls and gems. Marble tables and velvet chairs occupied the massive area, delicacies from all around the world prepared for this evening's dinner.

The Valorant Protocol was hosting another one of their banquets at the beginning of the year for more possible investors, something all of you dreaded. Much to your dismay, despite being the one who’s usually able to successfully convince some investors, Brimstone encouraged you to join, seeing as you were the most successful one on every occasion.

"So," The woman cooed, bringing her glass of wine to the tip of her lips. "Would you like to get to know each other more? We can have a chat at a café nearby after this event." She eyed your fidgety figure, enjoying how uncomfortable she was making you at the moment.

"Actually," A voice interrupted, "They have plans after this. Being a part of our company can be quite, occupying."

Immediately recognizing the voice, you relaxed knowing the entire situation could be resolved peacefully. Chamber wrapped his arm around your shoulders and guided you away from the woman.

You sighed in relief, glancing at Chamber in gratitude. "Thank you for saving me, as usual."

He smirked at you in amusement, "As usual?"

"You know what I'm talking about!" You defended yourself, flailing your arms above your head as Chamber guided you up the spiral stairs hugging the walls. He chuckled, pushing the intricate door for you which led to a balcony. "Since we're usually paired with each other all the time, you know?"

"That's only because you were the only one who tolerated me." He used his wits against you.

"Shut up!"

The cool breeze touched both of your skins, the balcony a view of the invited guests who preferred to stay outside. Jett and Killjoy could be seen sneaking some food into containers they brought, Skye shaking her head in disappointment but doing nothing to stop them.

Casually kissing his cheek, Chamber froze at the unexpected action while you wrapped his arms around your waist. Leaning your forearms against the balcony fences, you internally screamed at your actions. 

If he returned your feelings, your dignity was saved! You could finally give your heart to someone with no hesitation. If he didn’t return your feelings, you won’t be moving on from this impulsive action for a while.

“Cherie,”

“Yes?”

“...May I ask why you did that?”

“It’s cause I looooove you,” You dragged on, feeling heat rise to his cheeks.

“You know relationships shouldn’t be made within the protocol. I believed you weren’t even interested in me,” Chamber spoke, wondering whether or not he was drugged.

“Was I really sending different signals?” You wondered out loud, passively teasing him.

“Non, non, you misunderstood.” 

“Then where’s my I love you back kiss?”

You were going to be the death of him.

I have to thank sticky note for saving this chapter, honestly I think it was the wifi that crashed when I was writing this, but phewwww its back.

You finally find out that the package was not even a package in the first place, instead it was a woman. Her name was Neon, or Tala Nicole Dimaapi Valdez on your report. You and Sage made sure she was well settled and you took a liking to her upbeat personality. At first she was shy and timid but soon as Phoenix greeted the new agent headquarters became a more welcoming place where she could call home.

You asked Chamber why he was assigned, answering with, "We are acquaintances before, Brim insisted she'd join". Which was true Killjoy was the most infatuated, which may have imposed a bit of discomfort towards the newbie, but she was quick and agile. She can shoot bolts and much more! So of course Kj must have a look at her.

Brim seemed a bit more at ease with the new agent around, meaning more security was around. He lowered work hours and less paperwork, so you could give a tour to the new agent around. You toured her in training and workout areas, the dining area, pool, garden etc. She seemed amazed by how large the headquarters can be without including the agents personal rooms and labs. 

Tala started to feel a bit more comfortable, since you were like the guidance counsellor of Valorant, making sure everything lands in order. At the end of the tour you led Tala back to her room where she could settle,

"oh yeah Jett and Sage invited you to workout with them, don't worry Jett only competes with Yoru and Phoenix".

She giggled at the comment and agreed, you wished her a goodnight. It was only 7pm although she must still be feeling jet lag and so does Chamber, when he came back he chose not to sleep instead to indulge you. Although you appreciated his gesture. Speaking of which he must be dwindling in the lab on new designs or doing business calls. 

You head back to your office while along the way pick up Liam (Brim) some food, knowing he is still under some pressure. 

You open the doors, surprisingly seeing Cypher and Sabine around Brim, you slowly start to back out of the room but Brim waved you permission. You slowly place the sandwich on the edge of his desk. Cypher continued his speech, "I am just trying to say this is not like my other enemies, this one has a knack for this".

Viper conquered Cypher's statement. 

"What do you propose"? Sabine asks gently.

You look up to the concealed man,

"Deploy me and Sova, we will need time to track this person".

Brim grunted, "You deploy tomorrow then, I need this to be back in order".

Cypher nodded off and went out the doors.

"y/n prepare to deploy them, and send headquarters in code yellow".

"yes sir", you hurried back to your desk processing the jet’s info and loading in the code. Code yellow was only used if anyone was at stake meaning they should not leave headquarters for any reason whatsoever. Viper mentioned a hacker of some sort being able to track down sensitive information onto the agents, which was threatening knowing that the culprit was able to identify personal moments, information, and location on the agents. This frightened you as well knowing you were defenceless towards enemies only an ally to your team. 

Soon after you sent out a meom you got numerous messages from friends who were in the blue of the situation asking what was the matter, you said you'd explain it later tonight at the living hall. You finished up checking the jet's vitals, and led Sova and Cypher to the smaller jett knowing they were just two. You waved them goodbye as they departed. You finished up last of your paperwork and Brim actually headed to bed before you. You wished him goodnight and finished your last duties. You went back into your bedroom to change into some pjs before heading to the living area, try to become  a bit more comfortable since it was late into the night. You started to take off your blouse and felt some hands sneak around your waist. He seemed be having a little groove while humming a melody. He kissed you by the neck spinning you around, he seemed to be dancing a little salsa, classic guy.  You laugh at his little antic, he sways you around, dipping you but keeping you in his arms. He planted a kiss mid dip. He pulled you back up removing your blouse kissing your neck.

"nuh huh mr, I have to attend to the living area", you smirk while pulling away. He frowns,

"can they not wait"? He wraps his arms around tummy as he kisses your bare shoulder.

"Of course it's important, they need to be informed".

He groans against your skin.

"What about mine?".

He giggled brushing him off, turning to give him a quick peck. You open your closet detaching your bra and throwing it in the hamper, Chamber gives you a quick whistle, that you scoff off. He plants himself on the bed waiting for you to continue your show.

"I don't think I continue with an audience". You laugh.

"hmmmm, I don't think you minded the audience when I strip-"

"OKOkok".

"Turn away".

"ha pardon"?

"You heard me".

He scoffs, you hear the bed shift 

"I don't understand, you have the most beautiful body I ever seen, attached to the most beautiful person".

Your face shys away while giggling. You remove your tights and skirt, becoming completely nude. You shuffle around the wardrobe trying to find a nice pair of pjs to wear. Usually you just sleep naked with a shirt and undies, but the protocol insistes some modesty  around other agents. 

You get a soft pair of sweats and a tank along with a cardigan.

"How much longer is this torture is going to take"?

"Stop being such a drama queen, I'm done".

 He plops himself at the edge of the bed, looking at you with puppy eyes. You could not ignore him when presenting himself so adorably. You walk up to him giving him a peck, he tries to engage a more searing kiss to which you denied him. He whines as you walk to the door. You blow a kiss leaving him hopeless.

You walk towards the living area, coincidently find Neon.

"What are you doing up"?

She pulled up her phone showing the alert.

You hit your face forgetting completely that Tala was in the protocol as well. You apologise and lead her to the living area. 

There sat Kj, Raze, Jett and Phoenix. 

You introduced everyone and sat yourself on one of the large bean bag chairs. "So you may be wondering why an alert was sent. There has been a security breach." Phoenix's brows furrowed. 

"Do not worry no one is guilty here, but someone has been able to receive sensitive information, meaning we must stay in headquarters until the issue is handled".

"Whose handling it", Raze asks.

"Cypher and Sova".

Kj in a thought process, "someone is behind all of this".

"I guess"?

Everyone knows that Cypher and Sova are excellent at tracking individuals when it comes down to a singular person. This stressed the group since this person must've been powerful enough, meaning a one man job.

Jett broke the ice talking about something different, everyone started conversing even Neon, you were glad they took the information so calmly. The situation is more dire than they think, especially with Brim worried. 

You yawned and excused yourself for the night, others wishing you a goodnight. You opened the door to your room seeing no one in sight. You slide yourself into bed, you check your phone earning messages astra, Reyna and Skye are being recruited back to the protocol due to shortage of agents. Knowing that there are still rogue Radianites and the black market on the loose working for government officials. Surely you will have to be welcoming their arrival in 2 days. Reyna is like the vip of the protocol being a sort of governess back to her home country. Skye is a ranger back at her home and Asta with the most beautiful powers. 

You place your phone on the charger pad and lay down. You watch the luminescence of the lamp, you feel tired but awake. Something bad is happening and you just can't put your finger on it. 

You shut off the lamp and lay down to sleep, Chamber is probably doing late night calls in his room and you'll surely see him in the morning. 

You shuffle out of bed, a growing pain in your abdomen. You walk out in the hall seeing Brim standing furiously outside. He looks down on you with crossed arms Jett and Phoenix look like hurt children in the corner. Viper and Sage looking down on you in disgust. Brim started yelling, you couldn't hear anything everything was inaudible. You turn back looking at Phoenix and Jett who are tearing up. You see Yoru walking past you, bumping shoulders giving you a cold shoulder. Looking back to see Brim spitting in your face pointing a finger at you. Where is Chamber? What is happening?

You jolt up awake, panting. You glared at your clockseeing it it 4 am. A bad dream, or nightmare. No clue on what this meant, the pain, the silence, the yelling, being looked down upon from your peers? Nothing made sense, you felt so alone. You crawled out of bed, you walked out of your room heading towards Chamber's room. You opened the door trying to make as little noise as possible. You see that he is under the covers softly breathing. You pull up one side of the cover trying to slide under. Vincent stirs awake, "What are you doing here mon ange"?

You didn't answer, instead you just burst into tears. Afraid and tired Vincent sits up and brings you down with a hug. His arms wrapped around you, one hand petting your hair, hushing you. He didn't need to ask what happened, you've been stressed about the whole affair. It finally got to you when you were most weak, the worry and the risk. He laid you down, he rested on top, he peppered your face with kisses, he relaxed you giving small actions of love.

"I love you y/n, I promise to keep you safe", giggling at you hiccups

You looked back up to him with pearly eyes,

"I love you too Vincent"
