The "Date with Narry" event is now over!

Thank you so so so so much to everyone who participated! I didn't expect that there would be more than a handful of submissions, so seeing all of them as the event ends is amazing to me. I can't thank you all enough for participating if you did, whether by asks, or by liking the posts if they came across your dash.

breaking character as the mod of The Narrator's Blog for a bit: I'm so glad everyone was willing to interact with him as a character! I'm not an expert on RP, and this is the first-ever "event/competition" ive hosted, so this event taught me a lot both in hosting, as well as challenged me in terms of roleplay! Plus, thank you for letting me indulge my inner Narry by having him respond to your submissions. Getting to RP as him for the event was incredibly fun and rewarding, and seeing everyones submissions come in through the week was amazing and I loved getting to see all of them appear in the inbox (as well as seeing some of your reactions to his reactions! I do look thru the notes and rbs and i love seeing all your comments to narry's shenanigans) I hope that, even if you didn't win a drawing today, just know that all your submissions and contributions to the event hold a place in my heart, thank you all so so much for participating and I will be perpetually thanking you into the far future for letting me do a little silly event sdkjfgjhg. I hope I can set up more in the future, and hopefully, they won't be centred around getting narry a date /lh

my first impression of him on a teaser tweet of ikevamp EN was that he looks like an asshole, and I didn't like his looks either...

my falling for him was utterly illogical as despite these thoughts I put him on my phone wallpaper a few days later (still before the release of ikevamp EN)

as of right now ao3 says he appears in 59 of my posted works: the total number of fics I have published with him is higher as a few of those are stand-alones in a multichapter fic (napoleon bday prompts 2019 +9, yumeweek 2020 +5, mini requests +4, headcanons +11 ) ...he appears in about 1/3 of all my fics!

we share a hobby of reading biographies! the official ikevamp character sheets state it as his hobby

Hey all! Maeve here, thought I should introduce myself. :)

I'm 26, live in a small town in Hoenn, and often visit family in Alola. I'm the local 'Pokémon Wrangler,' which really just means I take care of any Pokémon in town that end up where they shouldn't. When not called on a job, I sell honey from my Combee hives and jams and berries from my orchard. Many Pokémon consider my property their home, and I don't discourage them from visiting so long as they remain friendly.

My team (or really, the Pokémon who hang around the house the most) is currently six Pokémon strong!

Astrid is my Garchomp and my partner Pokémon. She tends to be standoffish, but she's a sucker for poképuffs if you have them <3

Cassia is my Luxray, she's very protective of me and offers comfort when I'm upset. She's wonderful with kids though, and I take her with me whenever I'm invited to a school to talk about Pokémon safety.

Bryony, my Mudsdale, helps with my work in the orchard and is my ride Pokémon whenever I travel. She's stubborn, like any Mudsdale, but my most loyal friend.

Dusty is my Arcanine, and definitely in love with Cassia (probably the main reason he sticks around). He likes lazing around in the sunbeams on my porch, and I sometimes have to clean up scorch marks when he soaks up too much heat.

Atlas is a Totodile, and adopted rescue from one of my wrangling jobs. He has been adopted by Astrid and she's been taking wonderful care of him; this is unexpected, but promising for Atlas' well being. Atlas loves running around after Astrid and being held by people.

Kiska is a shiny Mareanie (yes, I know her image is of a normal one) who I adopted from Floaroma Sanctuary. She's feisty, but has proven to be a great friend to my established team. I'm definitely keeping her away from the local kids until she's been trained.

heya!! i’ve had this blog for a while now, but i realised i haven’t ever actually done a proper intro on here, so here it is!! (also did i want the opportunity to make an aesthetic of myself??? absolutely. image made in canva and portrait on the left is from picrew, all other images were taken from unsplash)

my name is aj (she/her pronouns pls)!! i’m 26, black, and i live in the uk. i graduated from uni 3 years ago and currently work in lab admin, but i’ve been doing creative writing for 10+ years!! i’m currently trying to get back into reading by reading a book a month (i usually share the book i’m reading in the sidebar of my main blog, which i follow back with as this blog is a sideblog: @andipxndy), and i write a variety of fanfiction and original works (both based off my own characters and those i currently/have rp’d with in the past). i also take requests for fanfiction, which you can read about below the cut or in this post (i’ve made some changes which mean the post is not relevant atm)!! but in general i love being asked questions about my WIPs and my characters and basically any characters i write, because i love delving into character thoughts and doing character development (so please send me some!!).

this blog started off as a way for me to share my fanfiction writing, which is how i got into writing in the first place and how i came to love it, but now i’m wanting to expand some more share/talk about some of my original works too!! i write ya sci-fi in my original stuff, but i’m known to drift into romance, action-comedy and crime when it comes to fanfiction works. i’m also over on ao3 as andipxndy.

my main fanfic writing fandoms are abbott elementary and alex rider, just to keep things managable, but i also enjoy watching ncis, criminal minds and lockwood & co., and sometimes dive back into old favourite animes (k-on!! is my current anime obsession). i may be slow to write or respond to stuff but i DO enjoy diving into discussing fandom stuff too!! i also like playing video games like sims 4 (ea is a money grab pass it on) and cities skylines, and enjoy dnd and rping with friends!!

before this intro gets too long, here are my main WIPs:

power play (1st draft completed, left to stew)

the first original wip i planned, the story is intended to be part of a 5-book series about a 20-year-old who accidentally gives himself powers, and ends up drawn into the science underground whilst trying to save people that he may or may not have also accidentally given powers. and all whilst trying to appear completely normal to his mum and get a summer job whilst home from university.

the crossover (still working on 1st draft, is my main/november nano project)

this is an adaptation of an old rp au i had with one of my closest friends, adjusted to have new, original characters despite the same plotline. it follows a 17-year-old girl as she’s accidentally transported into a parallel universe, where her parents aren’t her parents and she doesn’t exist. in an attempt to get home, she ends up crossing paths with the people who are meant to be her family, and finds out that they’re all superheroes. insert drama and shenanigans here.

the rich life: a modern bourgeoise au (working on 1st draft, is my camp nano project)

a passion project that i’m completing for my rp partners, this au is split into a 3-book series following the lives of our characters in the upper class, those who work for them, and eventually their children, going through the drama of their lives and how they try so hard not to have it all end up in the press. that obviously doesn’t work.

fanfiction fics and requests (ongoing but this is technically a wip)

technically counts as a wip as i have a backlog of fics in progress to write and share for requesters (and some ideas i’ve had myself), but these are mainly either alex rider or abbott elementary fanfics that have been sent in via ask. you can see extra info below the cut after the next paragraph. my requests are currently closed, and i’m working through my backlog. the request(s) active for the forseeable future are:

ok this needs context

i'm part of the tabletop/d&d club at my uni, we're a pretty big club all things considered and we have most communication through a discord server for members

in said discord server there's an art channel, where people put creative things they have made to show off to other club members

this is where it gets.... questionable

someone, one day, decided that picrews should be shared in the art channel, not the general media channel (which is used for videos, images and music links).

this has lead to the art channel being swarmed with people sending their version of the picrew after a link to one has been sent.

here's my issue, i posted a picrew link earlier today, along with the image i made with it (it was a cutesy icon maker, one i hadn't seen before).

a few hours pass and i post some art i had drawn, along with a timelapse my art software had created as i was drawing.

people only responded to the picrew. in fact the picrew sparked a new conversation about some earrings someone had made.

i don't mean to discredit the person who makes earrings but... the person who made the picrew wasn't in the server. they had no idea i had shared a link to it. i was there though. and i had made something that i was proud of and no one responded

not a single response

not even a reaction

eventually i sent a message about this and i have since gotten one (1) heart reaction.

i don't want to complain about not getting attention, i don't want to be bitchy about it but... it hurts y'know. i know these people irl it's not the same as not getting any notes on a tumblr post. i thought they would boost me up or something...

You can call me bread (not my real name but I don’t want my real name on here).

I am 18 and a student at uni studying international relations.

I am autistic with low support needs. I live independently but with support from a social worker. I was diagnosed with ASD (no level assigned) at 17 and ADHD at 14. I was medically recognised as autistic by my therapist at 15.

My special interest is autism.

I am able-bodied and white.

I am a trans man and use he/him exclusively. Do not use feminine terms for me. I am pre-medical transition (in the process of getting on T currently) but socially transitioned. I’m also bi.

I don’t have a DNI because those don’t tend to work but people I will block without question are:

TERFs or any type of transphobe (including people who don’t believe transmisogyny is a huge problem). People who don’t believe in transandrophobia are on thin ice.

Ableists, including people who engage in lateral ableism. This includes invalidating higher support needs disabled people as a disabled person yourself, and ignoring the perspectives of people with other sorts of disabilities as you. Also, don’t fakeclaim people.

People who believe in transID, such as transabled and transautistic people.

Zionists. You disgust me.

Any sort of bigot, whether that be racist, homophobic, transphobic, classist, sexist, or any other type of bigotry.

SH/ED blogs. These topics are triggering for me, I don’t really have anything against you personally.
