The others are fine-tuning the plan, and Steve, for once, is grateful that they haven’t bothered to ask for his input. He wouldn’t have anything useful to say. Not now, when stress and fear are a rope around his neck, choking him more and more as they close the distance back to Hawkins. Not when he can see a hundred different ways that this could go wrong, could all come crashing down on their heads. Not now, when Robin’s concern is rattling around in his head, when it’s taken on a life of its own, shaking him and screaming, “Someone is going to die!”

They’re spread too thin, fighting on too many fronts. They’re not being smart about this. But he’s dumb, too dumb to figure out a solution, too dumb to offer up anything other than “No, no, no, this will get everyone killed.”

The thought of leaving Max and Lucas and Erica alone makes his teeth hurt, makes him genuinely sick to his stomach. They’re children.

And worse than that, Lucas and Erica are both associated with Hellfire now. The whole town will be hunting them, out for blood. What if Erica gets spotted? Jason wasn’t afraid to get in Nancy’s face in public, and Mike’s in fucking California right now, couldn’t possibly be involved with helping Eddie. So what will he do if he finds the Sinclairs, in the middle of the night, all alone, with Max in a trance?

Steve should stay with them. Keep them safe.

But—

Vecna—or Henry or One, whatever—he’s like El. Sure, he’ll be in a trance when they get to the house, but once they light him on fire? He’s gonna wake up, and he’s gonna be pissed. And Steve isn’t sure how much help he’d be against someone with superpowers, but three against one is better odds than two against one. (And a part of him thinks he’s justified in worrying that a gun might not do much, not when the Upside Down has apparently transformed him into an even bigger monster. Bullets didn’t stop the demogorgon. Who says they’ll stop Vecna, even if he used to be a normal man?)

And then there’s Eddie and Dustin, and he can almost convince himself that they’ll be safe. But the wounds in his sides are throbbing in time with his heartbeat, and he knows that Dustin is loyal to a fault—“You die, I die”—and for all Eddie’s talk of being a coward, Steve knows that he isn’t, and—

Fuck it.

The others are so caught up in rehashing the plan that they don’t even notice that he’s gone off course until he’s parked and marching out of the RV.

“Wh— Steve! What are—?”

“I’ll be right back, Rob. Two minutes.”

“Where—?” The rest of Eddie’s question is cut off as the RV door swings shut.

Steve jogs up the drive, gritting his teeth at the flare of pain in his sides, and pounds on the door. “Tommy? You home, man? It’s Steve!”

A moment later, the door is yanked open, Tommy spitting, “What the fuck, Steve? You—” He stops abruptly, eyes raking over Steve from head to toe and back again. “Fuck, Steve, you look like hell. What happened?”

Steve grimaces. He doesn’t bother to answer the question; there’ll be time to explain later, if he’s right about this. God, he hopes he’s right about this.

Carol appears behind Tommy—which is a relief; he’d hate to have to do this twice—and gives Steve the same once over, eyes narrowing. She opens her mouth, closing it again when he shakes his head slightly.

“I hate to do this,” he says, “but you remember the promise we made? When we were nine?”

Tommy’s eyes widen, and his shoulders go rigid. “Steve?” he asks, and he sounds— fuck, he sounds terrified. Steve closes his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath so he doesn’t turn tail and run. He prays to a god he doesn’t believe in that it’ll be enough. (A tiny, selfish, awful part of him almost hopes that it won’t. But he squashes that voice down. They don’t have another choice; they need more help.)

Carol pushes past him, reaching out for the hem of Steve’s shirt and lifting it delicately. Steve doesn’t protest. Her mom’s a nurse; she’s always been able to tell when he’s hurt and hiding it. No point trying to conceal gaping holes in his sides if he couldn’t sneak something as minor as a sprained wrist past her.

She clearly wasn’t expecting it to be this bad, though. She gasps, her hands trembling where they hold his shirt. “How—? Who—?”

“What the fuck?” Tommy asks, face pale, expression queasy.

Steve knows how it looks, the massive blooms of blood soaking into the makeshift bandage. (He’d say it looks worse than it is, but it honestly hurts like a bitch.)

“I’m sorry,” he says, sure that remorse is bleeding from every pore. He hates, hates, hates himself for dragging someone new into this mess yet again. “But I could really use some help.”

“Fuck, Steve. Of course,” Carol says instantly, looking like she’s about to march off to track down whoever did this to him and make them pay.

Steve glances at Tommy again. His jaw is clenched and his hands are balled into fists at his sides, but he meets Steve’s eyes and nods. “Whatever you need.”

“It’s dangerous. Deadly,” Steve says, almost frantic. As much as he needs their help, he needs them to understand what they’re getting into. “You might not—”

“Steve,” Tommy says. His hand comes up in a familiar move, then stops just in front of Steve’s shoulder, like he’s not sure if he’s allowed to touch. “We made a promise.”

Steve nods, throat too tight to say anything. He’s distantly aware that tears are welling in his eyes, but he doesn’t bother trying to hide them. All he can do is close the scant distance between them, leaning into the pressure of Tommy’s hand almost desperately, hoping the gesture shows even a fraction of his gratitude.

Tommy nods back and repeats, “Whatever you need, Stevie.”

Okay I don't want to be mean or anything, I know where you're coming from and the other anons too, but you've had multiple problems in the last few days alone with people understanding your tone of voice on posts so maybe adding /srs and /j and some other stuff into your posts/tags would be helpful to decrease misunderstandings?

HELLO SWEET ANON!! This message made my day, oh my God. ALL DAY? That is so sweet!! I didn’t think anyone was really interested in my AU sldjfdslf!!! I haven’t even posted much about it yet because there’s so many layers to it, but YES the tag you’ve found (💕 Everything I did to get to you 🌟🌸) is the ship name for me and RiD2015 Starscream, and in that tag you’ll find a lot of posts relating to missing someone and grieving over them for sure.

Fun fact!! It’s called “Saving Starlight AU” because my S/I’s nickname is “starlight” or “starlight princess” by mostly everyone in the series (except STSC, he calls me his little starflower because he feels it’s much more unique and special) and everyone is like “we gotta save our starlight!” EXCEPT. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW. I’m saving MY Starlight!!! I’m saving STARSCREAM!!! He got some, in my opinion, horrible and undeserved endings in both TFP and its sequel series Robots in Disguise (2015). I literally hate TFP season 3 + the movie AND RiD2015 SO MUCH that I’m re-writing it and making it a bad timeline that will be erased. We are out here literally saving each other!! >:D

ANOTHER fun fact!! The ship name is inspired by the song 🌟 Everything I Did to Get to You by Ben Platt!! 🌸 The very minute I heard the song, it flooded me with all these ideas to rewrite a much better ending for Starscream in RiD2015, and it’s been really special to me ever since!! I think the specific date was around June 22nd actually...?

I’ll give you a little bit of info, but eventually I will post artwork + official story information one day that’s a lot easier to follow, if you’re interested! :D

Basically the premise is, my self insert has a time traveling watch that makes her “jump” between dimensions! The watch makes her jump into a certain dimension (in this case, the TFP universe), and the watch “breaks” and refuses to let her out of the universe until she “fixes” it, basically once the story is complete and there’s a happy ending! 

Well one day, in the middle of the TFP universe, she just-- poof!! Disappears!! Her watch transports her into another universe, even tho she didn’t finish the current one. This is super odd and this has never happened to her before. The Autobots and Decepticons are like “we haven’t seen Keri in WEEKS is she okay??” and each side kind of makes their own search parties. Starscream is in RUINS because he’d only just started dating my S/I at this point, and he’s like “wow the first time I ever truly grow to fall in love with someone and they disappear into thin air just like that?? UNACCEPTABLE” and he keeps the Red Energon necklace he made for me on him at ALL times. 

Two years pass, and I’m still kinda working on this part, but Megatron can’t feel the Dark Energon that connected Keri and him together pulsing within his spark anymore. It’s maybe two years later at this point. He’s like “oh. she’s dead. that’s it then.” he’s devastated but he isn’t gonna let it show, so he walks onto the warship and is like “cease all search parties. we’re done here” and Starscream scoffs and goes “What? That’s it? You’re giving up??” and Megatron just glares at him and warns him that no one is to ever bring Keri’s name up ever again.

I could write everyone’s reaction but it’d take way too long, I’ll just focus on Starscream: he stands up to Megatron for the first time in a long time, and he’s definitely punished for it. Megatron has a few breakdowns but most of them are in the privacy of his habsuite, but everyone on the ship kind of knows he isn’t gonna get over what happened. Nothing in canon changes from that point forward-- my self insert isn’t there to change anything, after all! Season 3 stays the same. The movie stays the same. The sequel series, TFP RiD2015, stays the same.... until.

Poof!! Keri has actually been in the RiD2015 universe this whole time!! That show takes place 5 years after TFP-- she wasn’t actually there for literal years though! She just jumped forward in time. She lands on the same vessel that Starscream is on (he has a completely different form/design in this show) and she’s like “!!! That guy sounds exactly like Starscream, but he looks nothing like him?? but I’m in an unfamiliar dimension so I need to find an ally REALLY FAST”

Starscream sees her, and he thinks it’s just another ghost. He’s been seeing little “visions” of Keri for the last seven years now, and when he’d try to touch them, they’d evaporate. He hears her voice. He still has her necklace with him all the time. He’s hurting. 

He’s really crushed when she starts calling his name, he’s like “wow this one REALLY hurts, she’s calling me Starlight and everything. if I close my eyes it’ll go away” until she runs into his arms and he breaks because oh my god she’s so soft? She smells like vanilla? She’s real? She isn’t disappearing like all the hazy memories in his head have been doing for the last seven years??

The rest of the story is basically my self insert, uhhh inserting into those three episodes he’s in! And instead of him being presumed dead or in an indefinite catatonic state and sent off to prison, she’s like “oh fuck that” and brings him back to life with her magical star powers (because seriously what is the point of me self inserting and being indulgent if I’m not gonna make myself have cool star powers that can bring my f/os back to life??) and it really focuses on Optimus and Bee sort of... waking up and realizing “oh shit our morals have totally gone out of whack since Keri went missing huh” because in canon, they really didn’t care abt Starscream. They treated him as some iredeemable monster, even though he didn’t even?? do anything wrong at first?? he was like “I want revenge on Megatron for abusing me” and they were like “wow Starscream you seem like the worst piece of shit to ever exist. worse than unicron, actually. we’re not even gonna let you explain yourself we’re just gonna take you down immediately” and Starscream is like “what?? I have just been SITTING HERE--”

so anyway!! It’s still definitely a work in progress but once I start drawing pictures I’ll be able to explain the story a lot more clearly than my scatterbrain is able to do right now LOL. Gormless Ch. 5 - Try to kill my boss? Haha you kids are alright!

A well-meaning friend gave me a book series that is hilariously bad. The first book was Souless and my riffs were entitled brainless. This second book is entitled Changless and these riff are then gormless.

I mean to say I have entitled them gormless! Not that my riffs are dumb, and the effort I spend on them stupid since I’m the only one who enjoys them. HAHA!

The story is SUPPOSED TO be about how a badass lady wearing a rad-looking carriage dress hits baddies with her umbrella and bangs her hot werewolf husband.  In reality it’s mostly poor attempts at being witty, flirty, and superior.

If you want the TL;DR version but want to read these new riffs anyway?

This story is set in supernatural Victorian steampunk England.  Alexia is our NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS protag.  She is a soulless, which means she’s able to negate the abilities of vampires and werewolves by touching them. She’s recently married a big oaf, named Lord Connel Maccon.  He’s the manchild in charge of the supernatural police with a zillion dollars and he’s totes super hot too ok.  Their relationship is mostly arguments about how Maccon can’t tell her fucking anything.  Alexia has also recently become head of ~Soulless affairs~ in Queen Victoria’s government.  She has a dumb friend named Ivy, a gay vampire friend named Akeldama, a family who’s evil because they do the same shit as her but while being blonde, and most importantly Alexia is better than everyone cause…cause.

Last time on Gormless:

There’s some mysterious force that’s turning the Vampires and werewolves into humans. Alexia is in charge of figuring out that deal, and she is doing a bad job at it.  Her husband is in charge of the Supernatrual Police (BUR) so he’s going to Scotland about it.

There’s a hot werewolf guy into Alexia called Channing and he’s a big jerk.  Ivy is getting married to some rich slub, even though she’s in wub with Maccon’s servant Tunstell.  Alexia just met a hot lesbian named LeFoux and wants to take her to visit her smart Vampire gay bestie Akeldama.

Chapter 5 – Try to kill my boss? Haha you kids are alright!

This chapter opens up with her seeing Lord Akeldama.  Basically they start by inviting Madame LeFoux and just catching up.  Turns out Akeldama has not seen the humanization phenomenon before even though he hella old, but his scouts discovered a military ship called the Spanker had people from the Kingair clan aboard who were humanized. We got similar info before, but there’s an implication that the humanization is traveling directly with the people of the Spanker.  There’s the implication that it’s moving north, and it has to do with the dead alpha thing.  

Something also of slight interest is that Akeldama tried to ~recruit~ Channing back when Channing was human. That Channing, so they say, used to be a charming sculptor and vampires and werewolves were fighting over him. That he went into the military/werewolfism cause it was more ~romantic.~ I think that’s all there just to put Channing back on the table as a love rival.

HE’S BAD RIGHT? BUT LIKE MAYBE NOT ALL BAD?

On one hand they’re fleshing him out.  On another hand it reeks of Marty-Stuing and it is not convincing me he deserves another chance.

Well what would make him desirable to you Faps?  Put him in an oversized sweater, with glasses, and he’s petting a cat?  

Okay okay!  My kink is valid and so is the kink for a man-child meathead okay.  I just wish my kink was more main-stream gosh.

So Madam LeFoux shows up and there is a brief bit of sassing between Akledama and her before Akeldama has to show off his aethographor.  They spend a lot of fucking time on this.  I guess this is for the folks into the steampunk aspect but like…I don’t really understand this appeal.  It basically boil down to it’s a telegraph machine but it prints letters onto metal with caustic chemicals. It has to be manned at all times, and some old ones need specific ~ Crystalline valve frequensors~ to communicate to one another but Akeldama’s LATEST EDITION doesn’t need it. I am a history nerd and reading about old machines is fascinating because you get to see how the machines have impacted the culture. I also like reading about Sci-Fi technology because either it’s cool to see what people decades ago thought was going to happen, or speculative future possibilities. In theory speculative fiction about an alternate universe’s history could be cool but this machine is just not that far removed from a telegraph machine and sounds like it’s a pain in the ass. But perhaps I’m just so spoiled by the fact that I could get a snapchat of a strange person’s butthole from Australia instantaneously without having to operate a machine the size of a room 24/7.  You have not truly enjoyed a stranger from down under’s…down under until you’ve seen it with the leopard ear snapchat filter!

Anyway he gives Alexia a ~ Crystalline valve frequensor~ with his frequency just in case.  She puts it in a pocket on her umbrella and it’s like DAMN GIRL WHY DIDN’T YOU LEAD WITH THE FACT THE THING HAS POCKETS? THAT’S WAY COOLER! (Even if impractical for regular umbrellas.)

The three of them part ways, Alexia is planning on taking a dirigible to Scotland in order to face this humanization and save her dumb-fuck husband.

Here we switch point of views to look through Lyall’s eyes. He’s tailing Alexia for reasons and some vampires are sneaking around Lord Akeldama’s place while she was visiting. The vamps almost attack Alexia but Lyall stops them with some pow pow action.  The vampires say they were just going to ~test~ Alexia and Lyall is just like haha that’s fine, go home you kids!  Also Alexia did not notice any of this.

I mean I’m kinda glad we had a bit o’ action but this was dumb. Lyall just lets these two jackoffs go after they tried to maybe kill/kidnap/whatever his master’s wife.  Also he doesn’t tell Alexia she was nearly attacked? Cause drama later on I guess? Fuck this writing!  I take back the nice things I said about Lyall!  Lyall instead just argues that Alexia shouldn’t go to Scotland. Sure Maccon relies heavily on his superpowers for everything, but not letting him know his powers are going to be suddenly taken away by a mysterious force which maybe out of his blood will definitely be fine. I guess because it’s now Lyall’s policy to make sure everybody around him, whom he attempts to protect with his life, is unaware of the danger around them. Cool, cool.

At least this time when Alexia badgers somebody about something she’s going to do, she’s right that it makes no sense why she shouldn’t. However she unwittingly has to take along a merry batch of fuckers. You’ll hear about them in a bit.

We have a big old scene where Alexia’s mother shows up and is like, “YOUR ONE SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED THE OTHER SISTER IS SO WRACKED WITH JEALOUSY SHE’S MAKING EVERYONE MISERABLE! YOU TAKE HER!”

Oh and there’s this inconsistent writing here where Alexia’s mother is passive aggressively racist toward werewolves and Scots. Yet at the same time there are lines about how pleased Alexia’s mother is that she married a Scottish werewolf.  There’s the direct line, “It was a constant source of amazement to Alexia that the only thing she had ever done in her entire life that pleased her mama was marry a werewolf.”  I think what the author is trying to say is that Alexia’s mom was happy that Alexia married a rich and powerful man, and LOOKS PAST the fact that he’s a werewolf but still kinda hates werewolves.  However they don’t bring up that her mom is impressed with all her money and power. They just keep saying WEREWOLF THIS and WEREWOLF THAT!  They made it unnecessarily muddled here and it’s confusing, annoying, and could have been easily fixed.

In Alexia mother’s defense the only thing I’ve seen Alexia do that’s pleased me, is hit that douche werewolf over the head a bunch.

So of course, Alexia’s mother won’t take no for an answer when it comes to her sister. Therefore Alexia is saddled with generic shallow, petty, bitch blonde sister #2.  Felicity, the blonde in question, agreed to this, despite hating her sister cause she knew her sister would be surrounded by hunky werewolves.  SHE GOTTA GET A HUSBAND NOW TOO! IT’S ALL US LADY FOLKS CARE ABOUT!  Due to English custom you can’t just leave your sister in your castle to have wild gangbangs with werewolves all day and night. But I mean, considering the amount of misogyny the 3rd in command is packing? Not leaving her alone there is probably a good idea. (Also I will puke blood if Felicity and Channing become an item.)

Ivy shows up at this time as well cause I mean…Ivy has always been sexually drawn to inconvenient timing.  Don’t kink-shame her!  When Ivy hears that Tunstell will be going on the Dirigible, she pouts until Alexia just let’s her go along too, cause HAHA WHY NOT AT THIS POINT!?

So she’s taking Angelique (to dress her), Felicity (to be obnoxious in the bitchy way), Ivy (to be obnoxious in the ditsy way), and Tunstell (cause this 90lb actor will protect them all.)

I get a masochistic tickle when Alexia’s family is around.  I dislike Alexia so I like seeing her insulted, but the cartoonish villainy of her family is hilarious to me.  It’s just so spot-on, the archetypal “BASIC SHALLOW BLONDE BITCH-SLUT TO MAKE PROTAG LOOK BETTER THAN ALL OTHER GIRLS!”  However I have yet to see an author fail so spectacularly at differentiating the evil girls from the protag. “I can’t believe all my family cares about is how they look, their social standing, and men!” Huffs Alexia, as she ponders her own romantic dalliances to the king of the Universe, in her new blue carriage dress, which has SHOOK the London fashion world to its VERY CORE!

Kiribaku!!!  I started off bakudeku but in the back of my mind I always thought kiribaku was flawless even though it was blasphemy problematic to think so.  They’re just so cute and wonderful together like Bakugou benefits from Kirishima being the sunshine boy, positive with the social aspects he lacks but can also handle when he gets intense and Kirishima benefits from Bakugou always inspiring him to work hard and do his best plus isn’t phased by his hardassness.  They cover each others weak spots and it completes me AND A CUTE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP LIKE THAT IS IN NO WAY BORING.

What  are  you  willing  to  write  when  it  comes  to  shipping?

I don’t have any limits cause I know this is fiction and I’m just here to have a fun time.  I guess I hate the idea of planning a ship with someone I haven’t threaded much with to see if there’s chemistry.... but I like exploring even toxic ships if I have the chance.  But like Red, I hate character death memes or anything like that, I will start crying and be very sad cause there’s plenty of ways to do angst without killing a character or like maiming them, like the amputee au’s and stuff make me depressed, even bakugou being fully deaf because of his quirk hurts me, I just hate it when people are hurting on a certain level because of my crazy empathy.

I know this is a #problematic opinion, but firstly age gaps between adults irl or in fiction don’t bother me like a grandma with a 28 year old, that’s not my job to say stop even if I don’t get it.  In real life, if you’re older and trying to get with a teen or kid, you sicken me, get out, but in shipping and writing I don’t see the problem shipping say a 17 year old with a 21 year old because it’s not a real mind at stake of being damaged, it’s a character you’re portraying or making as healthy or unhealthy as you want so if both muns are adults, you’re just having fun doing a ship just like you have fun making a headcanon or doing a really dark murderous verse.  It’s fiction and as long as you understand there’s a power dynamic that comes with that instead of saying it’s a perfect or flawless ship, then yeah.  You just gotta understand how that would legit work and know the consequences of it.  Doesn’t mean I always like it but I’m not going to say HOW DARE YOU EVEN T H I N K OF DOING THAT, I AM A THOUGHT POLICE, like it’s really no problem what you write as long as you’re writing with a fellow adult and portraying things in a non-glorifying way.  Doesn’t mean I’ll do it and I really don’t wanna do any age gap things on this blog but you get my point.

It depends on muses and muns because I don’t believe in set lines we have to follow in fictional writing like I do irl, otherwise we could never plot villain verses or anything like that.  Please soft block me if you can’t handle that so I don’t have to follow you back either <3 Throw me to the wolves if you wish but I’m not going to associate shipping and writing with real pedo tenancies unless you’re shipping 14 year old or younger with each other or an adult cause in that case that’s uncomfortable and concerning, get help.

Are  you  selective  when  shipping?

Nahhh, it just seems like I am because I like working up a lot of chemistry with another muse to make sure they’re on the same wavelength before I feel it and start thinking of it as a ship.  With someone like Kirishima, he’s real easy to ship and can get along with anyone opposed to a character with a more difficult personality.  I try to default all my muses as bi because I am but with all the gay coding, I’d be a fool to ignore it even if I still think a m/f ship could still happen with extreme extreme work and chemistry.

How  far  do  steamy  moments  have  to  go  before  they’re  considered  NSFW?

The moment you start touching the groin parts is where it gets NSFW in my book.  But before that point with like intense makeout and rubbing, I’ll tag things nsfw? just to be safe, if that ever happened.

Who  are  the  other  characters  you  ship  your  character  with?

I came into this fandom thinking Todokiri was cute af, kinda did that a bit with my ex and think they’re very adorable, like a different version of tod/odeku and I think Kiri would do that boy right, we also did shinkiri for a very brief time AND I HIGHLY LOVED THAT.  Uhhh... but some crack ships that might be cute are him with sero or tokoyami... shoji... tetsu and sen too, those boys need more lovin. 

Does  one  have  to  ask  to  ship  with  you?

Nope, normally I’m pretty transparent if my muse is starting to develop feelings and if that isn’t obvious enough it’ll be in the tags me giving that extra insight.  I like working up to that point instead of just chatting ooc asking each other how the ship would work out and stuff, I’d rather experience it is what I mean.  If I feel like it’s not consensual though and one sided crushes make anyone uncomfy, I’ll stop straight away, just reply and in the tags go ‘nah man’ and it’s fine.  But yeah, to me ships can be obvious coming so no need to specifically ask me about it.

How  often  do  you  like  to  ship?

I loooove shipping but I prefer the work it takes to even get to that point is what I figure.  I like development threads, and if they lead to ships, AWESOME!  And if not, that’s cool too!  It really just depends on the ic and ooc chemistry.  

Are  you  ship  obsessed  or  ship  more-or-less?

A little more on the obsessed side, which is funny because I’VE ONLY DONE KIRIBAKU.... I think it’s cause most of the fandom dodges me for being problematic, not that I don’t block their intolerant asses anyhow. Sorry if you came here expecting me to be mainstream...

Are  you  multi-ship?

Yes, I like being multiship cause it gives me a chance to explore different dynamics and that’s a ton of fun for me.  I used to want one ship per character but.... the first baku I ever loved already had a kiri so I had to throw that out the window.  DON’T REGRET IT THOUGH BECAUSE I MET ANOTHER FANTASTIC BAKU TOO, U KNOW WHO U ARE.

What  are  your  favorite  ships  in  your  current  fandom?

Kiribaku obvsly, momojirou is super cute.... deku x not being totally op due to bad writing is a great ship.  Being in the fandom has given me a lot more notp’s than otp’s lolol....

Finally,  how  does  one  ship  with  you?

Just subtle hinting as we thread leads to maybe a few fluffy memes or if you want a darker ship then we can develop an AU, it’s really not too hard cause denying a ship is very unlikely to happen unless the chemistry in our threads is too weak or if I just don’t see two characters as a thing for one reason or another.

Characters that had the main focus: well ~9 were from keiths pov, and ~5 each from shiro and lances povs. i think i also had ~5 from multiple points of view. its safe to say that keith has my heart tho lol

Best/worst title? Best title: i still like “at the end of many worlds.” i weirdly still like “Blackbird” too even if it has nothing to do with anything... Worst title: “Rest.” :/ also like all of the abandoned wips bc i didnt care. and “Keith & Lance's Island Adventure.″ some of my zine fic titles were also... bad. im bad at titles.

Best/worst first line?

Best: Keith & Lance's Island Adventure. ok the title is bad but this line? this really sets the tone for whole fic. you know what youre getting yourself into here.

When Pidge invited Keith to a fully-funded graduation party aboard the Holt family boat (“the smaller one, anyway,” she’d said), this is not exactly what he'd pictured: three of them standing on a wobbly dock, packed bags at their feet, sky cloudy and gray, while the Holt siblings stand on a little ledge off the back of the boat and deny entry.

Worst: ive got two for this lol

at the end of many worlds: even i have to read this a couple times to figure out what i was trying to say. at least you know youre in for pain...

Keith’s mother shows up to interrupt movie night often enough that, this time, Keith almost doesn’t realize anything’s wrong. Almost, because she’s silhouetted by the movie, but she’s clutching her arm and panting for breath, and in the thin edge of light around her he sees a wet and vibrant red.

Divergence: because all your friends being dead is EXACTLY like losing at dodgeball. yeah, theres a reason i abandoned this one.

Hunk always hated playing dodgeball. Not because he was bad at it--though he was--but because he always ended up the last one standing, and therefore the only target for the entire other team. It was due to a tendency to hang unnoticed in the back, he knew, but that didn't change the sickening, empty feeling of looking around and realizing there's no one left but him, and there's no way he can win. Only wait for the inevitable.

This, Hunk decides, is a lot like that, only, like, a billion times worse.

Best/worst last line?

Best: The Pining-Plant. there are a few others that were cute too but this one is also good out of context so

And then the pod swishes open and he's scrambling to catch Pidge as she stumbles out. She clings to his arms to steady herself and his heart swells.

"Falling for me again, huh?" he asks, and she groans loudly.

"Let me go, I'm getting back in the pod," she says, and he laughs. He doesn't let go, and neither does she.

Worst: if im bad at titles, im worse at endings. most are bad. i suspect the ending to “Rest” is terrible but i cant bring myself to even open that shit again so: Believe Me. if weather were a recurring theme in this fic, itd be fine, but as is its just... a weird note to end the fic on lmao

Hunk rocks back on his heels. "We aren't counting this as our official first date, right?"

"I dunno," Keith says, and now he smiles at the rain instead of frowning. It shows no sign of easing up, but whatever—they're soaked anyway. "This seems pretty good to me."

“...All right.” If nothing else, it’ll make a good story. And, Hunk had to admit—he’s pretty happy with how it’s turned out, rain and all.

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?

more than i expected! considering ive been in grad school all year!! i wrote about the same amount wordcount-wise in 2017 which i spent only half in school so. idk how i managed it.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted last year?

the anonymous fic was a surprise but im not gonna talk about that lol. otherwise... nah, its all been my usual stuff.

What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.

blackbird, probably. i like working on that one. summer heat was also fun, id sort of forgotten about it bc it was a zine fic but coming back to it, i really liked it. likewise with third time’s the charm. and i like t6p a lot even if i kinda hate drawing for it :’)

well t6p gets a shoutout, but its not the writing thats the hard part for that. uhhh ive struggled with parts of blackbird. i remember k&l’s island adventure giving me a LOT of trouble, i think i posted late lol

anything short uhhh for all the infinite realities, i kind of just sat down the other day (actually i was in bed but) and was like “im gonna write this” and then in the morning i just sat down and wrote it in one go. i dunno if id call it fun, but it was easy. t6p is super fun to write but, as mentioned, drawing it sucks.

Did any stories shift your perceptions of the characters?

no... my perceptions probably have shifted but not due to anything i wrote in particular. i did talk myself into liking allurance with a prompt fill, though, but im not sure that was 2018...

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean? bleh I have two usernames, and both stories are embarrassing LOL I’ll go with my actual ao3 name though I guess?? When I was in middle (?) school I used to watch the anime HOTD, which is like...awful first off. It’s borderline hentai, shitty fanservice, the whole thing (don’t ask me why I watched it, bc who knows, the music was A+) but my favorite character’s name was Saya, and her servants would call her ladysaya, so that’s the explanation for that ha. I put the x in front because I used to be obsessed with x men and all the marvel/dc animated series, so it felt appropriate pft. Man, even talking about this brings back so many cringe worthy memories lmao forgive me. 

2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (Bookmarks/ Subscriptions/ Hits/ Kudos) for Haikyuu!! it’s definitely Slipping Underneath, and for K Project it’s There You Are <3 

3. What is your AO3 profile icon and why did you choose it? It’s Semi! The reasoning for this is because I have 3 fav Haikyuu!! characters: Tsukishima, Oikawa, and Semi. So I just try to distribute my love evenly tbh lol. I have a Tsukki icon on here and discord, Semi for AO3, and Oikawa is on my phone case ^^ 

4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters? ahhh I have several but I’m not aware if many of them have tumblr?? A lot of people who comment on every chapter of my multichapters are very special to me, I love them all! Or also message me for specific types of fics <3 I will say though, one fic I always go back to read even though it’s been YEARS is a kyoukao fic by potionwine! 

6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked? I consider myself pretty picky, but I do read a LOT of fic, so I have a decent amount of both ^^ About 187 bookmarks, and 16 fic/author subscriptions! 

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most? Probably college?? even though I know that’s super broad, and all kinds of different AUs can be based in college but that’s how it is lol. I think that’s because I honestly don’t like redoing AUs?? I like experimenting and making up really weird shit and original scenarios as much as possible. Though, I’m sure you can find apparent trends across all my fics ^^ 

8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? haha...I have 76 user subscriptions, 436 general fic subscriptions, and 792 bookmarks. I don’t even know how that’s real lmao I feel so blessed that so many people enjoy my writing <3 

9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!) not really honestly, if I have an embarrassing or indulgent idea at this point, I just write it lmao idc but there are lots of types of fics I am scared to write just bc I don’t know if I could do them justice heh....

10. Is there anything you’d like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc. yes lmao updating better would be something I’d LOVE to improve on ; ; Also writing action scenes too fff fuck action scenes

19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write? Well I’ve always loved to write so no, but @brynne-lagaao is a big reason I started writing sarumi fics back when I was in K fandom! And nowadays in the hq fandom, a lot of amazing authors really push me to keep writing ^^

What writing advice would you give to a beginning author? don’t be afraid to write and write whatever you want basically lmao I know it can be daunting if you think your writing skills aren’t matching up with other authors, but the best thing you can do is practice, practice, and eventually you will see results! Also read a lot, reading other ppl’s stories really helps, and above all, just have fun with it! 

21. Do you plot out your stories or do you just figure it out as you go? I try to have a basic plot (beginning, middle, end) because I used to just DIVE IN to stories and it was awful lmao I need some sort of guideline, even if it’s small

22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do? yes ofc, but I honestly try not to dwell on them because they’re not worth it. I either ignore or delete in most cases

23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (Action, smut, etc) action and smut are never easy for me lol

24. What story(s) are you working on now? well right now I’m working on two secret santa fics for iwaoi, as well as my two kurotsuki multichapters! I am also trying to write kacchako as a x-mas present for a friend lol

25. Do you plan your new projects before you finish your current ongoing story(s)? ha yeah, it’s a bad habit but I have no self-control

26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself? I do not! I just try to write at least a little bit each day if I can, but there’s never a word minimum I try to reach ^^ 

27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started? oh 100% lmao comparing some of my old fics from even a year ago to my fics now is eye opening 

28. What is your favourite story that you have written? Shaking in My Skull for sarumi, it’s also the longest fic I’ve ever written and it holds a special place in my heart ; ; For kurotsuki it’s gotta be Let My Love 

29. What is your least favourite story that you have written? fuck me, Pencils and Paper LOL it was an earlier sarumi fic of mine and I just...hate it. I’m not even gonna link it LOL

33. Why do you write? For me it’s super therapeutic, I love the satisfaction of putting hard work into an idea you love and finishing it, and the high that comes with that. I actually have no idea… I don’t even remember the proper story anymore cuz despite it not being several years it was still quite a few years ago when I was still in.. middle school perhaps? That my school mates were talking about it and I asked my elder sibling who showed me random episodes, going by the least violent ones so I wouldn’t get nightmares.. so yeah I have no idea what season I first saw or what season was out exactly when I began watching random episodes. I only stared watching properly since last year 2. Who was the first character you fell in love with? 
Sam… he’s such a goddamn puppy that it’s hard not to like him!!! 3. Who was a character that you hated at first but grew to love?: 
Omg so many. I remember making a post about how the writers kill iff characters that were initially annoying but right as they started growing on us - bam. Dead
But ok maybe the first example was Bela… she actually was of course starting to grow o me by the time she died.. but the character that comes most immediately to mind because of how strongly I hated them… was Rowena. God she had been simply infuriating - I hated her so much for manipulating Crowley and threatening whatever good relationship he had with the Winchesters, that I wished she would die… but then come season 11 I fell absolutely I love with the woman 4. Which character would you most want to be in a long-term relationship with? 
Eep I have no fucking idea… fuck idk.. mm I never during my daydreams imagine myself with my fictional characters but if I had to choose… ugh maybe. Ok Dean is loyal and Sam is a puppy but idk it feels weird coming in between them… Cass is pretty amazing but… ugh fuck it maybe oh ok why not.. Charlie? Yeah. Charlie for sure, she’s amazing, pretty damn amazing with technology, I sure as hell wouldn’t mind her teaching me how to hack or everything about Star Trek or whatnot, seeing as I’ve never watched them (le gasp, the outrage! Honestly because I kinda already knew about everyone who was going to die until season 12, because like I had to catch up with the show and that meant big watching 11 seasons before the 12th came out. something up real quck so we're gonna make antoehr class called red and so when we run that our paragraphs are set up as um center (do you need a regular olumn after center) yes that would help but theres nothing after regular class so now when we run it now we have a center class and we hav ea red class okay so center red self explanatory now if we wwanted to we could also go into the calss and ahdd red if we wante and run it there nothing that asy syhta you ant have ceretered red bold italizzied whateer you coud add multiple ones you sepearate them with a space you dont need to use commas lets do okay so the h1 header tag over theres what colors it gonna be and it comes down here to this rule for h1 and the last thing it reads for h1 is green and then it goes int the body for the text
