Blue Lock itself is already a tv show in universe, so you don’t even need those convoluted explanations to write a watching the show fic. Then you have the fact that they’re public figures and social media fic, sports articles, interviews. Hell writing a fic from the perspective of a fan watching the show. Ahh tons of things we can explore with this aspect of blue lock!!

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...

Fuck Sweden as a nation for turning the woobification of our history and culture into one of our greatest exports, pretending to be wholesome and peaceful while profiting from conflicts elsewhere. I wish nothing but absolute hell and misery for Ulf Kristersson, who is even more spineless about his inaction than I thought possible. Who had nothing to say about the burnings of the torah and quran, only to claim that he stands for fighting antisemitism. Who puffed up his chest and was acting so tough about the things he would do once he became prime minister, only to hold up on none of his lofty promises in true conservative fashion. Both he and his lackeys (as well as their fanclubs of raging screaming bigots) deserve nothing but hurt and hell for continuing to destroy the lives of all marginalized groups in Sweden, all while shamelessly increasing their own salaries blatantly in the open, to then have the sheer and utter gut to declare that actively supporting genocide is within our best interests.

This country's audacity is one that only became possible because we sacrificed our neighbours safety for the sake of maintaining our own, because when your most recent war was in 1809 it's apparently not possible to even try and comprehend the horrors of modern warfare. That is, besides producing the tools for it to happen elsewhere.

i don't want to put my uninformed foot in my mouth or get involved with the Discourse but i've been seeing the two extremes of reactions to the korean low birth rates issue (on tumblr and twitter both) and i'm just kind of like. look. i feel like "low birth rates (in many countries but especially japan and korea as part of this conversation) are more broadly the result of capitalism/a culture of overwhelming overwork that makes social relationships and having families incredibly inaccessible to young people" and "low birth rates are very much a part of the current conversation about misogyny and social expectations for women in korea especially in the context of reproduction as 'unpaid labor' for women" are statements that can both be true

Why is there all this pressure to 'embrace opportunities' (opportunity strictly being defined as 'leading to something considered successful or prestigious by society')? Why can't I, for example, when given an "opportunity" to work as a seamstress on some famous singer's tour, decline?

Why can't I continue to live my small working class life, without feeling like I've squandered some golden opportunity, when really its only benefit aside from a few more dollars, would be 'clout' and bragging rights? Why would that be worth all the anxiety of unfamiliar places and unfamiliar people? (Because yes, being an essential Public Health worker during the pandemic really fucked me up with severe anxiety issues.)

Why is it considered bad and a weakness to choose your mental health over 'an opportunity'?

We should bring back that thing some websites used to do where whenever you made a post you could also list a bunch of random details alongside it, like the mood you’re currently feeling while writing the post, what you’re eating, music you’re currently listening to, what device you’re writing the post on, some random emoji, your personal motto at the moment, etc. It’s like additional character lore 

#I think you can do this with facebook still like you can put a current mood 'feeling XYZ' BUT you have to choose from their list #of premade emotions.
