You know, I think there's something so, so insidious to the idea that Orym's perspective of the Vanguard is "flawed/human" or that him repeatedly reminding his friends what the Vanguard does (kill innocents to achieve their means) "blocks nuance" in the conversation, etc, because it implies that, in this mythical "objective" perspective that apparently exists, the Vanguard aren't so bad. If only Orym could put aside his petty grievances, such as the murder of his father and husband, and let people be nuanced about this situation, he'd see there's two sides to this story. And why discount the Vanguard's perspective just because *checks notes* they're a massive, manipulative cult that preys on vulnerable people to join their ranks and turns them to violence, or that they work with a centuries-old fascist eugenicist literally mind-controlling psychic government with the goal of freeing a creature that could very well destroy the world as we know it and even if it doesn't, will leave an enormous power vacuum for that fascist government to potentially occupy when they invade Exandria?
I think there's some misconception people have that they think war shouldn't ever be personal and if it does become personal for someone then their logic is too clouded by their feelings to see the situation clearly, just automatically. And perhaps sometimes, in some contexts, this can be true! But not here. It's actually quite cut and dried that Orym's "flawed, human" perspective is the one reminding everyone of the human cost to Ludinus' grand plans, all in the name of so called "progress"

Elon has made it so expensive for companies to do integration stuff with twitter that Nintendo is now forced to cut Twitter stuff from the switch, like posting my screenshots and all that
https://x.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1788375084886892947
Because of that, as of June 2024 you will no longer be able to post screenshots or videos on Twitter via a Nintendo system or app. You will no longer be able to send or receive friend requests from users on Twitter.
Give a big, hearty "Fuck you!" to Elon Musk, everyone! He really seems to enjoy those.

I'm so tired of sites self-destructing, PLEASE I am begging there to be just ONE art site that isn't a flaming pile of shit that could go down at any moment
I'm not leaving until the ship goes down, but I would like to hear potential places where people are also posting art
Personally I'm most active on Kofi and Bluesky because these are the only sites that I'm sure won't come crashing down anytime soon but god it's so tiring to have to keep rebuilding because everything turns to shit over the dumbest, most lack-of-common-decency bullshit from people who should never be in power to begin with

haha oh no im definitely not at all disturbed by the prevalence of leftists on all platforms who are loudly 'anti-genocide' when it comes to the palestinian cause (and a couple others at best :3c) yet the only time ukraine [ʊkrɐˈjinɐ] leaves their mouths is in critique, in stark comparison to the former or in complaint about their (american) government sending aid.
at first what i saw often was pointing out the differences in western media framing [ukraine vs palestine], and that's fair (until the words and the agenda of western journalists are used to paint, as a whole, ukrainians who have been actively going through genocide as some kind of white supremacists hogging the blanket of global attention when they kinda just want to live and have the rights to their own land, culture, names and families)
but no one is even caring to do that anymore, today bitches just invent metaphorical scenarios and people to get mad at and to throw an entire ethnos away because wahhhh i decided that you care for X but not for Y!!!.... all while doing the exact thing they are condemning. the exact absolute same and they don't even hide it but do lack the self-awareness to realise

Thinking about how Lance almost died in the crystal explosion, and then he did die in that electric blast saving Allura, and how becoming red paladin was a start of deteoration of his character importance of his role in the show, and how he spent so much time before the series being compared to Keith only for it to be resolved as "You will never be Keith. Shut up, know your place as someone who will forever be in his shadow" and how fire and blasts and the colour red has only ever hurt him and yet he still kept jumping into them like a moth to the flame

Hi Carrotty! I saw your post about the Loveit character art -- is there more character info/content? :O I recently discovered the song (and reply song) and... well... love it! Thank you for the translation link -- I'm so intrigued 👀👀👀
Beans! Hello!
I'm sorry for replying very late! Sad to say there isn't much stuff (yet, I have my hopes) but I did look through Panda's Twitter, and I found a few stuff!
Kujima and Maia, Kujima, Kujima?, Maia, Maia.
I'm not entirely sure if the last Kujima is Kujima or not because Panda has another pair of OCs that look similar to Maia and Kujima:
They're called Lewis and Noah, respectively.
There's also a privated MV that Panda made with two characters who also resemble Maia and Kujima a little, but the images are here.
I don't know much about Panda's OCs in general outside of Loveit? and Love Eat, so I hope they get the chance to show more about them too, because characters in sharp clothes are just absolutely WONDERFUL!
Panda's Tumblr is here, by the way. They're not as active but hey it's good to mention anyway!
And well I just answered an ask about Loveit? and Love Eat too wherein I unashamedly dropped a long doc about my thoughts, if you wanna see? Hopefully it will provide for the void we both feel! (It's in PC format though so be warned...)
