IMAGINE Satoru and Suguru as fucking YouTubers, circa 2014-2018.

Ohmygod they would be SO entertaining, I swear. This AU lives in my head rent-free at the moment, so let me word-vomit about it.

It all started with Satoru... Things like this, of course it starts with Satoru.

Satoru gives me storytime YouTuber vibes. His channel started out that way. It's just him talking about how crazy his life is. But after he amassed a following, around 100K, he eventually became a variety sort of YouTuber.

Satoru does a LOT. His channel is INSANE. From food challenges, to trying weird food on camera, to going to haunted locations, to putting weird stuff in the microwave to see what will happen (his house is permanently in danger), to failed cooking videos, right down to trying random products he finds in online stores.

Trust me, it doesn't take him long to get to 10 Million subscribers. Probably 10 months or less. That face card ain't declining and he's always going to pull people left and right.

In the beginning, a lot of Satoru's traffic came from Instagram. It's just him looking so aesthetically pleasing, he's irresistible. His Twitter is a mess. Twitter is where he shitposts, and people know better than to take him seriously on Twitter. His Snapchat... Good lord, help the poor soul who's following him on there. It's random shenanigans that would have you questioning if Gojo is okay.

For the first two years of his YouTube career, Satoru has been doing this YouTuber thing solo.

And then his best friend, Suguru Geto, made his debut on his channel and it's OVER.

His fans fell in love with Suguru. Of course, they would. Tell me you wouldn't love him? (in an AU where Suguru is innocent and has never attempted to commit crimes against humanity).

Also, Suguru is deadass charming when he wants to be.

Satoru and Suguru = iconic comedic duo.

Satoru's views and engagement skyrocketed from the moment Suguru was introduced to his YT audience.

At first, Suguru kept all his social media accounts private, and Satoru was always careful and mindful about what appeared on camera.

Eventually, Satoru influenced Suguru to start his own YT channel.

Suguru Geto strikes me as the type who would have a niche YT channel. Like, he targets a specific audience. The opposite of Gojo's chaotic variety channel.

I kind of find it hard to pin down what sort of content Suguru would upload, but I'm leaning toward day-in-the-life vlogs, fitness, travel vlogs, and commentaries.

If you want serious, educational, aesthetic, and calm content, head over to Suguru's channel.

If you want unhinged shenanigans and pure chaos, Satoru Gojo is your guy.

"Well, it's whatever!" Satoru laughed, side-eyeing the messy slop on the countertop that he'd had the audacity to call a donut cake before the entire video devolved into him and Suguru flinging globs of cream cheese and chocolate frosting at each other across the kitchen.

"Who is going to finish all this?" Suguru lamented, eyes narrowing at the pile of food on Satoru's marble counters.

"What are you talking about? We're eating that!"

"Oh fuck no!"

"Yes!"

"No, Satoru."

"Yeeeesss!" Satoru cackled and flung an arm around Suguru's shoulders, bringing his friend into the frame for the special announcement he'd teased at the beginning of this video. "Now come here, it's time to tell them our surprise."

"Our surprise?"

Satoru laughed. "Well, your surprise, but you did this thanks to me~ You're welcome, by the way."

Releasing a deep sigh at the sound of Satoru crooning into his ear, Suguru shook his head. Satoru was more excited about the announcement than Suguru himself would ever be.

"Are you telling them?" Satoru asked, blinking at Suguru over the rims of his dark Versace sunglasses.

"Nah, you do it."

"Everyone, Suguru finally has a YouTube channel!" Satoru announced gleefully, the widest grin splitting his face as he wrestled Suguru into a headlock. A headlock that the latter had no problem prying himself away from. "After a whole year trying to convince his stubborn ass! And the first video is already up right?"

"Two videos, but yeah, they should go check it out if they want." Suguru nodded, flashing an easy smile at the camera, and towards millions of Satoru's lovestruck fans.

"Two! He's fast! Go check it out, guys. Suguru's channel is in the description below. It's the first one there. If you guys need something to help you relax or--"

"--To cleanse your palette after this madness."

"Hey! Rude! They love my cake videos!"

"That's not cake, Satoru."

Neither of them acknowledged the sloppy pile of donuts coated in multi-colored frosting, teetering on the brink of collapse in the background.

"But yeah! Suguru's channel is up right now. First two videos, go check it out! Subscribe, show him some love, give it a like. We had fun hangin' with you, we hope you had fun hangin' with us. And I'll see you guys tomorrow!"

BALITANG HANEP: Filipino Brony YouTuber releases animated parody music video of 'Somepony That I Used to Know' (updated as FINAL!!!)

MAKATI, MANILA -- A Filipino YouTuber named "Makaryo" created a popular animated parody music video featuring Princess Twilight Sparkle of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is a current broadcast president of the Equestrian Broadcasters Association (EBA) and a former Radyo Bandera Patrol news reporter, Station Manager and President of both OneNETtv Channel and OneNETnews. Mordecai from the Regular Show is also featured in the music video, in a crossover ship with Princess Twilight. The parody is based on a hit song 'Somebody That I Used to Know' by Gotye and Kimbra.

The creator "Makaryo", is known for making animated fan parody music videos of the same cartoon show. He is from the Philippines and created his YouTube channel back in mid-December 2015. The video features Princess Twilight Sparkle and Mordecai, who are depicted as each other's love interests in a realistic setting in a fast-paced timelapsed color painting while singing along with the fan parody animated music video.

In a fanfiction story called Earthworm Zim - Chapter 14: Part 2, Princess Twilight had been reportedly heart broken for a while in most reasons after being loved to someone else, known as the cheating point. One of her friends named Mordecai helped her heal and they eventually fell in love. This fanfiction story continues well smoothly.

As we all learned that the "BlueDog444" is not actually the originator. Because of a viralistic meme in 2020, internet artists began parodying and/or redrawing the amateur classic art, eventually leading to the creation of the 'Redraw MordeTwi Challenge'. It was first posted an amateur drawing of Mordecai and Princess Twilight wishing to arrive on the airplane.

The shipping couple "MordeTwi" originated from a fan artist and fanfiction author named "CartunesLover16" on a website called DeviantArt in the United States of America (U.S.A.). They shared their artwork and stories in late October 2011, which led to the creation of this shipping name. The said pairing has become quite popular in the crossover fandom on both shows in different cable networks in America. Equestria Daily, a website that tracks Brony fandom and news surrounding the show reports – that the said animated music video is inspiring for generations. The original artwork went viral and thus attracted a lot of attention. They even appeared on many TV shows, images and music videos as their relationship became famous among the fanbase.

To sum it all up, Makaryo's animated music video for "MordeTwi" has received widespread acclaim for its creativity and quality animation. This has also contributed to the growing popularity of MordeTwi's over the pairing.

Welp... (#FireDavidZaslav)

I never though of making this, but a few hours ago, Coyote Vs Acme, the most highly anticipated movie to come out the Looney Tunes, has been shelved and would not be releasing at all.

When I heard this I was confused and disappointed: "Why would they cancel this movie?" I thought to myself. "Oh right, TAXES and MONEY!" I was already aware of Zaslav's mistreatment of animation but this made me sad in particular considering that the movie was completed by the time it was cancelled.

All of those animators that have put their sweat and guts into this film for over two years. Gone. By contrast, the universally-reviled Velma got green light for a second season, while 2023's The Flash not only somehow survived cancellation, but also kept Ezra Miller - who had a lot of criminal activity throughout 2022 - as the titular character in spite of the potential legal trouble they'll get for having a convicted criminal in a role of a mainstream film, let alone still continue acting.

As I said in a comment on a YT video, any hope I had with WB and especially Zaslav is pretty much gone. Hell, I would argue that any hope I had with this year is gone. Between the abysmal beginning (the aforementioned Velma, the career-destroying scandals of Justin Roiland and Elliot Gindi, with the latter having only stared voiced acting for five months before the allegations came out, and the widespread, messy but otherwise pointless Hogwarts Legacy drama), the doubling down of Hollywood and especially WB's maltreatment of animation, several formally revered people getting exposed left and right, and tech giants making inane decisions, most notable Elon's takeover of Twitter and Reddit's API Changes, its honestly not a hyperbole or an exaggeration to say I despise this year. Not to an extent of 2020, but still pretty bad, and 2023 sucking was something I've been genuinely dreading when December of last year came.

And speaking of last year, this day marks the unfortunate first anniversary of the controversy DeviantArt got into when they decided to implement AI into their platform known for art made by actual people, NOT machines. Is every Nov. 11 going forward gonna have a company screwing over their audience and employees?

If there's one silver lining to this devastating situation, it's that the producers of said film would be able to watch it on private screenings next week. That, and the potential content leaks of said film.

At this rate, WB is dangerously close to becoming the ActiBliz of animation - a company full of greedy scumbags who take delight in screwing over their audience and their people.

To close this post off, I will no longer be supporting WB and its related content from now on (at least legally). I'll be removing my profile off of HBO Max (or rather Max) and deleting the service on my TV. I'll also remove every video from the Cartoon Network YouTube channel off my watch history even though they had nothing to do with this situation, I just don't like associating myself with a scummy company regardless of how I feel about the products themselves. That obviously doesn't mean I automatically hate anything by WB nor do I want to remove them from my history, I'm just saying is that I don't want to support anything by WB if that means I'm profiting of from the company. I'll also delete/private my fan art commemorating the company's centennial, because as I said before, I'm not respecting a company that treats its own works like disposable tools while giving other works a slap on the wrist in spite of their abysmal quality. Talk about double standards...

TL;DR: WB cancels a film that has already been completed and everyone is restoring to pirating their content, including me.

EDIT: Okay, changed my mind. I'm ONLY going to delete everything from JUST Warner Bros., the company, not the products they own. That doesn't mean I WON'T be deleting anything that celebrates the company though.

EDIT 2: Even though I'm not supporting WB anymore, I'm keeping my 100th anniversary post (at least on this site) for "archival/historical" purposes.

Blog Update : Merry Holidays~!

Hihi all, I'll be taking a break from creating videos and blogging for the holidays and will return on the 26th Dec.

Firstly, thank you for being with me again this year.

My blog has been running for 7 years, and I’m truly thankful for all of the love that this blog has received from everyone.

As for my YT channel, even though it was just revived three months ago, I appreciate the warm support that the videos received.

As always, I'll continue to share my interest in the stuff that I like and hopefully bring more enjoyable content for you in the next year.

Speaking of YT, I do have a long list of possible games in mind that I wanna do videos on, like Stardew Valley , Royal Alchemist , The Letter , Frail Hearts , Darkest Dungeon , etc. Maybe Witchbrook or Haunted Chocolatier too when they're released. However, they're still works in progress that needs some time.

I'm re-posting it again today, six years later, Aug. 21. 2022 (updated to include some newer info) because it disappeared from my Tumblr account along with all my other previous content I'd posted to Tummblr. In the last few days, I logged into my Twitter account for the first time in years and discovered Twitter must have wiped it clean of content, followers and following. It looked like a brand new account showing no activity, no content, no nuthin'. Did Tumblr do this 'cause I was inactive for so long? Hm. At least the account was allowed to exist, even if it had been reduced to nothingness! I had visited others' Tumblr pages occasionally but had not logged into my own for a very long time. I became active instead at fan groups on Facebook and elsewwhere and on my own you tube channel] ..................................................................................... This is a post on on Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval & David Roback as a cat appreciators. (Vol. 1 focuses on Dum Dum Girls’ Dee Dee Penny (now known as Kristin Kontrol) as a cat person). Mazzy Star’s / Hope Sandoval’s “totem animal” seems to be the cat as there are at least nine examples of cat image themes appearing in album art, merch, & music videos. Hope also meows her way, cat like, through a song, her guest duet on JAMC’s song “Perfume,” (a song whose lyrics only make sense when one knows the history of Chanel No. 5 perfume, & how the company became more responsible by ceasing to use in the making of its perfume musk taken from musk glands of the endangered wild civet cat). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pMPb6ifZ5c . Plus, Hope’s been known to send letters on stationery with cat images printed on the paper, & sometimes signs autographs accompanied by cat cartoons she draws.

-References to Hope’s own cats, or cats she knows have appeared in a few articles over the years, most amusingly in a Sept., 2013 SPIN mag interview where she & Colm O’Ciosoig speak jokingly about a cat “Herman” but without letting on to the leg-pulled interviewer “Herman” is a cat, not a person! http://www.spin.com/articles/mazzy-star-seasons-of-your-day-interview/

A helpful SPIN reader in comments ID-ed the mysterious “Herman” as a cat, which fits with what Hope & Colm say about him. I see the current posting of the article no longer has any comments attached. So, I’ll leave a new one there with the “Herman” info restored that someone else originally supplied.

-Hope mentions cats in lyrics in at least one of her own songs, “Suzanne,” by Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions. The lyrics line is: “The cats in here are overflowin’ “

- There’s a 50 min. audio interview from 2013 with Hope & David I’ve upped to yt here: http://youtu.be/TJaFHGAEFiE with a section (starting at the 30:16 mark) where they talk about cats, & it’s evident from it both are cat appreciators. At one point in the interview Hope says “I wish I could see a cat right now.”

-There’s a Rome radio interview & performance by David from 1988 (when Hope-era Opal was touring Europe) where he sings a song with amusingly odd sounding cat lyrics: “Sad and insane, Cat’s in the rain.” (Huh, David?). I’ve upped it to yt here: http://youtu.be/NL5mzjwyWNc It turns out it’s an Opal song called “A Falling Star” originally from the Opal era when Kendra Smith was still singer, but with new lyrics. Hope sang the new version with cat lyrics on the 1988 Opal tour after she became Opal’s singer.

-Here’s a passage from an Oct., 1996 Alternative Press article: QUOTE: “We pile into William’s [William Reid of JAMC, Hope’s bf of the time] compact car. He drives us to his and Hope’s place so she can get her notebook of lyrics [before they go to the studio for a Mazzy Star rehearsal for an upcoming tour]. At the house, David goes to the back garden to pet William’s cat. He speaks of his love of animals, nature and the beauty of Cambridge (where Syd Barrett lives, he notes).“

HOPE: I know! And I can barely handle the one cat. I didn’t tell you, Colm [Colm is on the phone with them in a three-way phone interview] but he didn’t come home until three in the morning. I couldn’t sleep all night and finally I heard his little door and I went to open the little door and he walks in and he’s limping. He is ok. He’s sleeping now and I’m just debating whether I should take him to the vet. He’s one of those cats who is just a fighter. Taka - First Love cover (ONE OK ROCK 2021 Day to Night Acoustic Sessions)

ONE OK ROCK held their live concert "Day to Night Acoustic Sessions" from July 22 to 25, 2021.

The fascinating thing about this Hikaru Utada cover is that was also the name of Takeru's netflix project, "First Love" announced on December of 2020 and released on November 24, 2022

Nothing will stop convincing me that Taka dedicated that song to Takeru. He deliberately sang "First Love" bc he knew about this new Takeru drama.

He must have known not only bc they are bff but also bc there is a live w/ Takeru & Utada where she said they met through Taka bc of the drama.

Edit: I also found out that he mentioned in the "First Love" Premiere event that he went to a friend concert (*cough* Taka *cough*) and he covered that song.

Unpopular opinion alert, just so you know.

So, like, y'know how we're all joking about how people are returning to Tumblr and we should all act like just the dumbest, most deranged people out there until they go away? The thing is... I don't think it's just a joke. I might be stating the obvious, but websites like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram? They're fuckin hellholes man. Can't say anything without being banned, free speech is a distant dream, they're legit, unironically spying on you to "nudge" you in the direction of people they're partnered with that have the kinds of products that you want, a la the story of "I was talking with my friend about how I want a grill, not half a minute later Facebook ads start showing me grills, which they never did before." That's not the person being delusional, or that they didn't notice those ads before. They're right. Facebook is spying on us, Twitter is meticulously destroying any notion of free speech. For fucks sake, I can find more honest and normal discussions on 4chans random board, and that place is notorious for having a bunch of radical people and horny pedos and all that kinda nasty shit. But that's just it. 4chan has no fucking filter whatsoever. You could be someone with a mildly radical opinion, or you could be preaching the end of the human race, and 4chan won't give a shit. That's how the internet used to be. And funnily enough, I think it was a good thing. Back then I have almost no memories of people going apeshit crazy as mainstream media likes to think 4chan users do. And even if someone was doing something questionable, like recruiting for, I dunno, neonazi campaigns, you'd just fucking ignore them, because you came across this shit constantly and you learned what is and isn't worth your time, because you had more than two brain cells to rub together. Nowadays, when Twitter censoring goes so hard I'm pretty sure I heard about some accounts supposedly being "preemptively suspended" before they even did anything? No wonder people are falling for all kinds of pyramid schemes and whatnot. They never learned what's worth paying attention to. Because Twitter and such outright controls what you're allowed to think, so when some stray bullshit comes along, you're immediately liable to believe it, because if it was bad you wouldn't get to even see it, right?

TL;DR big corp media websites suck, they're literally so authoritarian they go to Chinese leaderships' b-day parties, and we're letting them fuck us in the ass because who knows why.

There a good video about this kinda thing on YouTube, releases just today. "The Moment Twitter Ruined Society" by yt channel Moon. It sounds cheesy I know, but the dude seems to genuinely criticize, praise and educate, does his research, and isn't full of pyramid schemes. I think he even has some good life advice videos.

I'd go on but I have a killer headache, I don't even know why it exists, I slept even more than necessary, I ate properly, I'm not that stressed. Eh, I probably did something wrong and forgot about it. Typical me....
