#twin rings

Ok but imagine that first team meeting after Adrien finally has the twin rings on his person, regardless if he knows their significance.
The peacock holder can sense Amoks, even if they aren't the creator of said Amok, and can communicate with them when transformed. Proof with Nathalie in Feast and with Felix/Kagami in Pretension. So now that Adrien, aka Chat, is in possession of the twin rings, and Felix is Argos...
They show up and Argos just GLARES at Chat the entire meeting, losing his mind, trying to figure out why Chat has an Amok. Accusing LB of not giving the rings to Adrien. Pouncing on Chat and demanding he give up what he stole, assuming he can sense the specific Amok? Absolutely would be cussing him out telepathically before realizing the implications of being able to communicate in said way with Chat Noir. Adrien may or may not know what they even ARE at that point. Idk there are just so many hilarious possibilities.
In all seriousness, Luka is the only one who knows Chat's identity thus far. Felix HAS to know now too, starting immediately. I SWEAR if the creators ignore the rule they made........

The Graham de Vanily twin rings are a dormant Miraculous and Adrien cant reject being its holder
You read me.
There's a chance that the most powerful names/families in history Made their way using Miraculous to their advantage.
Like that one ancient holder of the dragon Tomoe Gozen, or the previous holder of the Eagle Lafayette, Made themselves in greatness through magic objects.
And if the British Aristocrat familiy Graham de Vanily we're talking about, they might have built their legacy over a Miraculous. Also, those rings are at least, symbolicaly important to the family. (Aka. Feligami theatric explanation).
What animal? Idk. Maybe a fish? (Like a piscis reference?) Does this family have a symbol/Family shield or something?
What power? Idk. Not as powerful as The Mother Box's, I guess.
How it would awaken, Now that Adrien has it? Idk, I dont see Plagg caring to help (also theyre in hiding mode, idk if other kwamis can tell).
But something I know, he can't give away a family heirloom (also the most valuable thing his parents left him). PLUS HIS AMOK IS IN THERE LIKE DUDE, YOU AND ME UNTIL I DIE TYPE OF SITUATION.
Wouldn't it be fun that this new kwami Is so excited to take action after so long, ready to fight, only to find that his new holder has a Miraculous aldeady (far more powerful than theirs) and refuses to transform!

I saw an older post about when Gabriel tried to akumatize Felix in s4 using the twin ring he stole: (picture bc why not)
Tumblr media
The post was made when a big consensus was that one of the twin rings was Felix’s amok, and therefore put his life at risk choosing that as the akuma object, something he later did with Kagami in s5:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But with s5, we learned that Felix’s amok isn’t the twin ring, but that other ring he always wears. However- the twin rings (both) are Adrien’s amok, meaning Gabriel put his own son at risk by trying to akumatize him with it. (A conclusion many have already come to and have pointed out)
…or did he?
Because I’m kind of wondering how much danger Adrien would’ve been in if the akuma actually took, and subsequently be broken by the heroes. I don’t really think that Adrien’s feather would come out if that ring broke- there’s still the other ring. We saw in Crocoduel how about akuma object can be split and can only be released if put together again first, so why not for Amoks? If one of the rings broke, a feather probably wouldn’t even come out.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean Adrien would’ve been completely fine.
In Felix’s backstory, this happened:
Tumblr media
His ring cracked (not broke), and he collapsed (passed out) instead of vanishing.
Tumblr media
Since Adrien’s is a different format, being two rings, I can’t say I’m completely positive, but I think it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that if only one of his rings broke, that he might collapse/pass out like Felix did when his amok was damaged.
So if one of the rings broke (but not the other), then maybe it would be the same as a single piece amok cracking, since it wasn’t completely broken, only partially.
If this is how it works, then if an akumatized Felix loses, and the ring breaks, the magic ladybugs would fix the ring and there’d be no lasting consequences to Adrien (minus the fact that it would cause him to collapse as Chat Noir, thus revealing his identity to Gabriel, but that’s a different concern lol). There’s also the fact that Felix’s ring is very much not cracked anymore (and I guess wasn’t when he finally got it off his father), it’s possible that it self heals somehow (seriously, I’d love to know how the cracks got fixed).
To conclude: Gabriel still put his son at risk by picking the twin ring as the akuma, but probably didn’t think there was any major concern of actually killing Adrien.
(Though I guess I could be wrong about no feather coming out if just one broke because multiple feathers did need to get purified in Megaleech, but that was because of the object being multiplied, not an object with multiple parts, so I’m gonna assume for now that it’s just one feather total for the two rings.)

Debunking the SentiAdrien Theory
Everyone thinks that because Gabriel Agreste is able to control his son, Adrien, with his wedding ring that the ring is an object with a myuk in it and Adrien is a Sentimonster but there is evidence to disprove that theory.
Let’s look at other Sentimonsters that were humanized such as the SentiLadybug SentiGabe, and Sentibubbler. Without the object to control them, they are robotic and unable to move on their on their own or have actual thoughts and feelings of their own without any direction from the holder of the object. Adrien is freely able to be himself, he walks, talks, makes jokes, and even has ambitions of his own in what he wants or who he loves. Sentimonsters, as far as we have been shown, do not react or think on their own without a holder.
Tumblr media
Now let’s look at the rings. In the New York Special at the end we see a new Miracle Box, one that is missing a Miraculous what looks to be, Twin Rings. Here is the symbolism of those rings, Marriage is a commitment you make with a person and are bonded to life with. Since, Gabriel lost his ring to Felix, he took his wife’s ring as a temp but the rings were no longer bonded to him and his wife, a person he has bonded with and since then we see Gabriel change. Before, he truly was trying to make a wish to bring his wife back, but now he seems darker, more intense and completely selfish. It doesn’t seem like he is doing this for his wife even telling her that he will make a wish, he will fight Ladybug and Chat Noir if it is the last thing he ever does. He has lost sight of what or who he is doing this for, blind sighted by ambition and disregarding everything else in his life he loves. Even Natalie has seen his change. He is taking more risks and even further disregarding his own son. Not having one of the rings bonded to his loved one is changing him for the worst and I don’t think the Kwami from the Twin Rings can manifest without two bonded souls together. An incapacitated person probably holds the Kwami(s) back from manifesting fully.
So here is where my theory for the Twin Rings come into play. They are a yin-yang situation, two halves of a whole. But the power is commitment. If fallen into the wrong hands, it is persuasion. Gabriel is giving his son orders, telling him what to do or to obey him as he adjusts the ring. He is using some of the ring’s power to persuade Adrien to do something against his will without him knowing. Adrien always says he can never fight his father on anything, that he feels trapped doing stuff only his father wants him to do and that is why he will do anything for his father at any beckon call. But what if Gabriel knew that he could use that power on anyone, or let’s say even Chat Noir. As Chat Noir, Adrien is free to do whatever he wants and he can be himself without feeling trapped by his father’s wishes. We have already seen the Eagle Kwami giving people freedom but in the wrong hands, the holder tells the victims to do whatever they want and be free to use their powers without restraints which can be devastating. Just think of a power of commitment, the victim is committed to do whatever  the holder wants them to because they are bound to the orders to love, honor and cherish. They are persuaded to do something they normally wouldn’t want to do or told not to talk back. Which is probably why Adrien only wanted to be what his parents wanted him to be. They told him that when he was a baby and it persuaded him to do just that. He really didn’t grow up with a normal childhood.
I also think the Twin Rings have two Kwami(s). They are twins. What animal do you think that would represent to be a sign of commitment? But they can only manifest whenever both holders of the miraculous are bonded together. Marriage is perfect for that. And with only one ring in play, the balance is off. Gabriel is off, he has gone insane trying to win. It isn’t about freeing his wife from her coma or bringing her back to life, or about making a wish. He has lost time and time again to children with superpowers because he forces other people to do his work for him and that is risky in itself. You can’t promise something to someone when their personalities are all different and their ambitions could be anything. He has dealt with children who don’t listen, babies who can’t talk, simple-minded people who are sensitive and can create a negative emotion at any time, confused, want revenge, get angry over little things or justified means. He is only one man, with a power that creates objects to manipulate others while Ladybug’s power is to capture those objects and purify them. He is bound to lose no matter what.
However, we were given a clear image of what the Twin Rings are and where they come from and it makes more sense that it obtains a power to manipulate someone to do something they normally wouldn’t want to do which is why Adrien is forced to obey his father despite his better judgement. if Adrien was in love with Marinette after finding out that his best friend was girl he has loved this entire time being Ladybug or that he is Chat Blanc and couldn’t choose between obeying his father and his love for Ladybug, wouldn’t you think that is because he is being influenced by a power that strictly prohibits him from disobeying? That it isn’t that he is an inanimate being who can’t think or feel for himself because we see glimpses of his struggle and his need to rebel, but because he can’t go against the powers of a miraculous just as any other power can with its own influence. Gabriel is already persuasive but we do know he loves his son. He won’t attack his son or force his son who is hurt and in pain to be akumatized, but he will persuade his son to be loyal to him if it means keeping his son safe. Gabriel must know his rings are another miraculous if he and his wife were able to have them at the same time, and if his wife is dead, then couldn’t that break the power of the miraculous to the point where it corrupts Gabriel after wearing it? Rewatch the shift from Gabe taking his wife’s ring and see if his plans and ambitions have change. He clearly has gotten worst since then.
PS: Also isn’t his wife’s pod an enclosed structure to keep her frozen? How does he take her ring without opening the pod and risking his wife’s frozen state?

Okay so... I just don’t understand this particular scene from Strike Back.
Remember when Gabriel cross-questioned Felix in Strike Back when the latter tried to trade all the other Miraculouses and Emily’s ring for the Peacock Miraculous? Gabriel says this - “How do I know that you won’t use the Peacock Miraculous against us???”
And Felix replies - “If I wanted to HARM you Uncle, I would have done it A LONG TIME AGO.
I mean, how could Felix potentially cause any harm to Gabriel? That too from a long time ago? He was just a super smart teenager before getting his hands on the Peacock Miraculous. That’s all he was. Felix with no miraculous was no match for Gabriel who had two miraculouses in his possession.
And why is Gabriel concerned that Felix can possibly hurt him with the help of the Peacock Miraculous? He literally gets 16 miraculous in return.
How can a teenager with ONE miraculous can harm an adult with 16 miraculouses????
It’s confusing. What are the writers trying to convey here exactly?
Is Gabriel a sentimonster or something? Or is he just feeling concerned about Adrien (Let’s face it. Adrien is definitely a sentimonster. Or at least, half sentimonster if Gabriel is one.) ???
And Gabriel said “AGAINST US”. Why the usage of the word “us” in here? Does that imply that Felix with the Peacock Miraculous has the ability to harm more than one person?
I don’t understand.
