inspector koo (2021) - everyone here is a different flavor of fruit, crime show exclusively made for girls and gays and it’s the best thing that ever happened to me

when i fly towards you (2023) - this is what happiness is all about

doom at your service (2021) - “love me to the point that you want to destroy the world for me” that’s it that’s the line

love all play (2022) - wfkbj for people who aren’t annoying

little women (2022) - second half felt like a makjang damn the writers were spiraling and i couldn’t stop watching (gay little women i love you)

twinkling watermelon (2023) - worth the hype

bloodhounds (2023) - i remember my letterboxd post for this saying you can almost smell the testosterones through the screen but it was absolutely binge worthy, kinda homo if you ask me!

law school (2021) - is it insane to beg for a season 2 the chance is low but nonzero… right?

I watched soooo much tv at the end of last year and loved it! This post will be all of the shows I finished watching in November and December 2023.

Twinkling Watermelon - Oscar award winning CODA meets blockbuster fan favorite Back to the Future. I really enjoyed this time traveling musical romp with excellent romances and friendships and learning more about your family.

The Worst of Evil - A cop's life is upended when he goes undercover with a gang to take down their burgeoning drug trade. An interesting watch. I especially liked the unlikely bromance between Ji Chang Wook and Wi Ha Jun. But this was just heartbreaking. Was surviving even worth it?

Castaway Diva - After a pair of island teenagers try to escape their abusive homes, they are separated for 15 years when one of them ends up on a deserted island. When Mokha is rescued, she decides to pursue her long-delayed dream of being a singer and reunite with her childhood friend. This was touching, fun and occasionally harrowing. Love Park Eun Bin, Chae Jong Hyeop, & Cha Hakyeon!

Perfect Marriage Revenge - A passive beleaguered woman is given a one year reset to get revenge on the family who made her life hell by marrying the man of her sister's dreams. A fun makjang that shows you can find the love and support you deserve with family and in marriage.

Moon in the Day - When a ghost who has been following all the reincarnations of his ex-wife who killed him 1500 years ago becomes corporeal, he tries to discover the truth and break the curse that has bound them together. This is a tragic, bloody, ride or die, epic love story. I liked it. Faves Kim Young Dae and Pyo Ye Jin star.

The Great British Baking Show - This is my happy place.

Fixer Upper - I really enjoy the banter of Chip and Joanna and these beautiful house renovations inspire me. I had watched a few seasons when it originally aired but I was able to watch the whole thing through this time.

THE WORST OF EVIL

A 12 episode k drama. At the very least, I can say it was a roller coaster of a series.

The actors are soo amazingly good-looking. The casting for this series was spot on tbh.

This is a k drama about a police man ( on the right of the photo) who goes under cover into a gang run their leader( on the left). [ to say the very least].

The story started at a good pace and continued it till the end. But let me tell you that some scenes had me spinning. Like it was so well placed. But it needs concentration to remember every aspect and making sure you know where the story is headed. In few parts I was thinking who was that? When did that happen? Cause you need a lot of attention for it. And I needed to rematch the episode I had before just so I remembered what happened last week. And I had my exams going on, so I guess that could be a reason.

* also disclaimer- very graphic scenes placed every few episodes, depictions of various other things that could be potential triggers. SO PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS.

Otherwise the story, camera angles, cast, locations of shootings. All were pretty good.

Also the actors made it soo much better, like they made to story come to life iykwim.

The things the characters had to do is just... we can literally feel how the police man struggles to complete his task while making sure the people he loved were safe.

There was one scene in which the character could not even pay respects to his dead mother in law. And it was soo well acted. I could feel the emotions and man. It was quite something.

I have officially become a fan of this man....

Both of thier chemistry is uncanny. Undefeated. I was rooting for them the entire time. Loved this team/ unit whatever you wanna call it. I want more of this.....

They say the hero and the villain should be equals for it to be interesting. Well let me tell you. They were and they killed it.

The end was quite satisfactory, I guess. Though I was expecting a bang! But I won't complain.

The couples were well.... See it and then you will know.

Believe me when I say this, just finished watching episode 1 of 'The worst of Evil' & it's started off really good.

I got crazy vibes of 'young & dangerous (1996)' & infernal affairs (2002)' while watching this.

It's shot beautifully, and you'll enjoy the battle scenes.

i'm not sure how i feel about the last episode. it was kind of a like... eh. junmo did all of the work he needed to and he just ends up killing gicheol?? like he was gonna kill himself anyway so i dunno why junmo had to do the work for him?? 😭😭 why did he let him get away aghfjdkdjs

and junmo just shuns his wife??£&£&#?! boy if you don't put your arm around your wife's shoulder and protect her at all costs!!!!!!!

and dohyung dying yeah i'm gutted.

anywayyy i still enjoyed it and it was the most tense and stressed out i've been watching a kdrama at least lol so they were doing something right and the acting was sooo good ugh

there is nothing more beautiful than seeing the full montage of Jun Mo going absolutely batsh*t insane crazy unhinged when he steps foot in that hallway and sees what's going on. just completely gloriously feral out of it kill count going up by the dozens bathed in blood like a kind of baptism or wine of pseudo-Eucharist this is My body and My blood eat (drink) this in remembrance of Me etc etc bc as from his own mouth he says that there is someone he needs to protect. forget acting like the rent was due he acted like it was mortgage backdated student loans credit card bill car payments hospital fees alimony child support you name it he had his bank details ready holy f*ck

I like to imagine Becca is just waiting in heaven to throw Billy into the deepest pits of hell personally, considering what he gaslighted Ryan and what he'll do in the future.

Also, she would feel brokenhearted for sure, if her son will likely end up in the same hell.

I can't even imagine what that would feel like as a mother watching her child become a monster and being helpless to stop it if it were to happen.

As much as I feel for Ryan, it's possible at some point he's going to make a choice just like his spermdonor and billy did

welp... honestly, i gotta say it's a good thing she's dead and not actually watchin' it cause gotdamn.

but yeah, i'd *like* to imagine she'd string billy up by the balls for not making ryan his priority and still being the nutjob who goes after homelander.

and can't not mention comics becca, she'da probably lost her mind knowing billy mashed her baby to death with a lamp. woman was a soul too caring and compassionate and too fucking good for billy honestly.

i do imagine that if she were watching her son break/become another homelander, know what billy'd done and chose to do *despite* what he'd fucking promised her (if not just for the fact that he was about to fucking beat ryan to death *right* after she died), that would def be enough to get her pissed enough to disavow billy for good and tell him to fuck off.

the boi has pretty much ignored every single thing becca has and would have wanted and was legit one of the worst things to ever happen to her. she absolutely loved him but billy was so obsessed with being his father that it was destroying her mental state even before homelander came along to drive the final nail in the coffin.

"i could never save you!"

she legit tells him she doesn't want his violence, she doesn't want him to bring that near her or her son, that she doesn't fucking want his revenge--she just wants to get her son out and get him safe.

she fucking chose *vought* instead of billy, because she felt so goddamn unsafe. *VOUGHT*, the company that *created* homelander. over her husband.

and billy doesn't give a shit. it doesn't get talked about as often how much billy disrespects and drags becca through the mud (cause we all know she's too good and would forgive him for his bullshit, fucking CHRIST--i actually think this may be *why* they're adding the whole 'cheating' reveal, to drive this point home)

but he was going to sell ryan back to vought and rip a mother away from her child. becca forgave him because of course she did, she loved him and she wants to believe in him and believe there's good in him, but even she knew.

the only reason he's doing what he does isn't to avenge her or get revenge for her, it is absolutely not and never was *for her* because she *LITERALLY* told him she didn't fucking want him to go on a revenge rampage *TO HIS FACE*. it's because of his own pride and--to honor his *father*. *not* becca.

if he actually gave an honest shit about her, he would respect what *she* wanted, and he deliberately does not and even *knows* that.

she was too good for him and i will always say that.

he was supposed to be the guy she could turn to during the most distressful moment of her life, not the guy she would *dread* telling what happened for *fear* of how he'd react--and then turns out she was fucking right about her fears!

i will forever lament that he made her feel so fucking unsafe about her situation, so unheard and unseen and like she wouldn't be listened to, that she, as a victim, could not come forward to her own fucking emotionally inept husband.

When ppl say that there is no stories about friendship I can't help but wonder what do they mean? There are lots and lots cartoons for kids and teens about well, friendship! Its the main point of almost all stories there. I don't like watching movies so I dunno if there are a lot of movies about friendship nowadays but I have watched old films about it. Like yeah it will always have some romance too for main characters or for the background characters bc if your story has like 10+ adult ppl most of them would look for relationship for the sake of building a family or sex. But also if you can excuse how the women are drawn you can just read/watch one piece and like NOBODY has any romance or sex there even though there are like billions of adult pirates.
