Every terf I've found. For your blocking pleasure! Under the cut

Oh fuck there's a terf in my notes! What can I do? 1. Flag on shinigami eyes browser extension. You've probably heard of this, but it's free, available on desktop. Also available on firefox mobile I think. Has been used to improperly flag people before. Trust but verify. 2. Look through "Blogs like this one" to break the reblog chains and effectively block a whole circle of them. You could also just look through who they're reblogging from. 3. Have a quick scroll for any posts that are reportable. This takes a lot more time than the other steps, but if enough people report them, and if you're reporting something that breaks tumblr's guidelines, then their account could get taken down. Win. 4. Lastly, block. OR Block first and save yourself the psychic damage. If you're on mobile, you could block first and go back later on desktop, finding them in your blocked tumblrs list, to do the rest. Do not interact! Do not send anons! Don't even give them that. Just flag, report, block, move on. Movements don't go anywhere in silence.

Please know that there aren't actually that many of them. I've noticed from going through so many, and from how they interact in my notes... I don't want to say too much because I'm starting to feel like someone's going to read this eventually. But it can be pretty clear that they have multiple accounts. Some of them are making this their full-time jobs. Just sitting on the computer and finding trans people to bully. It's pathetic and sad. If you block all of them, they just... stop existing. Because it's a small group of people. But they do make new accounts once too many people have blocked them, every... 3-9 months? Or, I imagine, once they start to notice that the site feels empty to them and they've been blocked by too many people? It's easy to block enough of them, but I do recommend setting aside some time to do this. I also recommend taking care of your mental health afterwards. When I encounter a block list from someone else, I always check out the blog before blocking, because tools like these can be used against us as well. Shinigami eyes has been used to incorrectly mark trans people before. Trust but verify. No tool is perfect. So I'm assuming you're going to check some of these blogs out too, because that's what I would do. Set some time aside to take care of yourself afterwards please. Love you.

How to put these in your blocklist quickly

The way I do it uses desktop and your phone at the same time. Or 2 tabs on desktop. The second part is to reference the usernames or look them up. Click on your own profile picture icon and on the right hand side of the screen should be this:

Click on "blog settings" at the bottom. You'll be brought to a new screen, where you'll scroll all the way to the bottom, and see this:

Click on the writing thing there and then you'll finally see your block list:

Also, his (famous) sexual innuendos. He knew that Alina would never say to Mal what truly happened between them. So he's "spitting" it on Mal's face with such pleasure and satisfaction (like "she willingly gave herself to ME, boy. Did she tell you that? No. I don't think so"). And even though they obviously didn't have sex he implies it 'cause he's petty like that.

You know. For being famous for his acting skills, he really lets his mask slip easily lots of times.

Aside from anger, he must have felt hurt. This is the first time that Alina recoils from his touch and it bothers him.

The Darkling here being like:

He's acting like they were a couple and had a break up LMAO. The way he doesn't even look at her. Such a dramatic bitch.😔

The Darkling: "Lord, give me patience not to obliterate a bitch (Mal)".

His patience runs out. The fact that the first thing Alina asks him about is Mal makes him want to lash out. He be like: "I'll be so glad when I'll feed his ass to the volcra."

The moment he instructs her what to do, he demands answers about her thoughts for Mal. He's genuinely curious about what she sees in him. And how can she have hopes about being with him, an otkazat'sya, a mortal man that is beneath her? When the only person, according to him, that would understand her and accept her completely is himself (Dude we get it, you're superior 😭).

Also, he's trying to save her from a future disappointment. He has walked this path before and doesn't want Alina to do the same. He has seen this play and didn't like the ending.

Serious post.

Hi guys. I know you guys are probably surprised to hear from me considering my last post, and no, I’m not back permanently, but there is something I feel I need to make a post about.

Disclaimer: Do not harass the user mentioned in this post, I do not wish any harm onto them.

If you have been in the TPC community since January of this year, you know about the drama involving the user Cintagonisupset. If you’ve been keeping up with his blog (only reason I have is because I do 100% expect him to make another post about me and/or my friends) you would have seen one, or both of these posts.

Now, you might be wondering, why am I bringing these up? Both of these situations are extremely unfortunate, and they would be, if he wasn’t lying.

I know that it’s a bold claim to make, but it isn’t inaccurate. I may not have concrete confirmation of him lying, but I have more than enough evidence.

For the first image, he legit just- didn’t leave tumblr. He just pinned that post and kept on tumblr like normal. For the ENTIRE time he was supposedly gone, he was still reblogging posts, just putting in tags that he was “still gone”. After about,, maybe a week or so his pinned post was back to the usual one and he was posting like normal. Not to mention, a little ways through that whole leaving tumblr bs he had changed the pinned post to this. “I hope y’all bitches burn in hell” (actual picture to be added once I fucking find it AUGH)

(UPDATE I GOT IT) And the second image? He claimed. To have to be sent to a mental hospital because of a mental breakdown. That is EXTREMELY serious. Do you know how in need of help you need to be to be admitted to a mental hospital? Do you know how horrid that would be to fake? Now, I haven’t been to a mental hospital myself, but I have several friends who have. Hell, I even have a IRL friend who has been to one AND has written a 10 page research paper on them. They have all stated to me that they wouldn’t let a patient keep their phone, and my IRL has stated that the wait times there would most likely keep them in the hospital for longer than they supposedly were in there.

All of this alone isn’t enough for me to claim that he faked it, seeing as he is in Canada and I���m in the US, and they most likely operate different than here. But you know what is? The fact that he has deleted EVERY SINGLE POST HE HAS MADE ABOUT HIM BEING IN THE HOSPITAL. Sure, he could’ve gotten out early, but why delete all of the posts about it, and not at the very least make an update post on his condition? I know for a fact that there are still people that care about him, and not making a post about his condition when he CLEARLY has the ability to be on tumblr seeing as he deleted all his posts mentioning the hospital is extremely suspicious, and basically proves that he has ulterior motives for making these posts.

What do I think these motives are? Well, I believe that he is trying to make anyone who checks his blog that was involved in the drama against him think that he’s gone, so that they stop checking his blog for good. Then he gets rid of or hides/buries the posts and goes on with life like nothing happened. I honestly don’t blame him for trying this, as trying to get out of drama with desperate tactics isn’t that surprising and is not that odd of a response. BUT LYING ABOUT GETTING SENT TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL??? YOU REALLY COULDN’T THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER??? Honestly, it makes me sick. Seeing someone fake something as SERIOUS as that. Makes me sick.

I do not wish harm on him. I wish for him to heal. I wish for him to get the help that he needs. From his repeated behavior, there appears to be something wrong with him mentally. While I do not enjoy claiming this, it’s the most logical explanation seeing as he’s been doing shit like this FOR OVER 4 YEARS. He genuinely needs professional help, and I pray that he gets it. But for now, all we can do is defend ourselves if he decides he wants to attack us yet again.

And a personal message to Cintagonisupset, if he just so happens to be reading this. Your actions severely upset me. This post has not been made to wish ill will onto you, but to bring to light something that you have done wrong, that is genuinely disgusting in my opinion. You have made callout posts for way less. Again, I do not wish any harm onto you, so do not wish any harm onto me. Or do. It’s just more evidence against you.

Hi so i talked alittle before about my 5+ year artblock and how im Slowly forcing my way out of it by drawing ocs..

if you have been following me for a while you would know i have a fake band in the sims called WeiRdoW and i decided to start drawing them in what i always wanted my style to look like growing up but never got around to it because people around me would complain to my mom about how creepy and scary it was ( the main theme of my art growing up was eyes and spirals and an underlying feeling of horror or danger but that freaked out people i guess) and she would snatch my art and tear up my silly doodles in to pieces so i was forced to draw "perfect" art for a while which led me to my art block but i managed to save some small peices here and there of my old stuff and im Gonna post them also since im Being brave right now ...

First here is Batsy and Androida

Batsy was the first thing i drew after 5 years of doing nothing and thats why he is alittle wonky and fish like as i was not sure what the fuck was i doing i might redraw him again lol

Androida is awsome and im So proud of how it turned out i did get carried away with her hair alittle but eh it was therapeutic lol also im still trying to remeber prespective and shit so thats slightly wonky too but im So proud of my self for making these and im excited for the rest of the band ❤️

People can be evil and scary, and sadly parents and schools are scared of teaching about it. I just think back to what I was doing at 15 and damn, I was worried about volleyball practice and my history grade. These kids who message me and shit don’t KNOW me, I could be anyone, and they are willingly throwing trust my way. How dumb is that? I could send a damn link and be like “here’s a secret fic I wrote since you loved this other one!” And bam, now I got access to their phone and all their shit. I don’t know why they aren’t more cautious? I was beaten on multiple occasions by my parents for nearly falling for the “my dog just had puppies if you want to see them!” trick.

“Public shaming” and “name calling” are slaps on the wrist compared to some nastiness real humans are capable of. Let them feel bad, let them have hurt feelings, I’d rather that than someone weaving into their life through the internet and their only purpose is to do the most horrible shit possible.

Let’s not act like the adults on here don’t know what I mean. I mean some 40+ fucking creep pedophile/predator could run a cutie pie princess Toji fucker blog and steal others work and use that like a lure to get a 14 year old to message them, befriend them, share “pictures” and all that shit, and promise to meet at the movies or somewhere that kid feels safe, and guess fucking what?

a day late because yesterday i was tooooo busy! some spoilers in here for dungeon meshi and saltburn!

listening: mostly background stuff. i still haven't played more nier: automata but the boyf got me listening to the soundtrack and it whips.

reading: more tgcf at night to soothe my frenzied brain to sleep. i finished dungeon meshi yesterday!! i did cry!!! it was so, so good, i loved it. i really liked that there was no set antagonist, per se, at least not until the very end with the fight against the winged lion, it was all just a bunch of characters with different but justifiable goals that had their aims all butting up against each other. very cool. i love kabru what a little shit

watching: many things this week. my partner is visiting for the week and we like to have videos on while we're cooking n eating so we watched...essentially the entirety of weird history food channel, started with the trader joes one and spiraled from there.

we also watched the currently-released episodes of dungeon meshi. very charming. i cannot wait to see how they animate certain scenes.

on sunday night we did a friend dinner, so me and my boyfriend, roommate and hers, and one other friend; after dinner we movie night-ed it and watched saltburn and blazing saddles:

saltburn was insane! apparently there is shock and alarm at the sex scenes, which i am not very online about it so i have no idea what people are actually saying but imo it was not that crazy. there is a solo, uh, let's call it Moment towards the end of the film that is pretty out there, but besides that the sex scenes are the least of anyone's worries in this movie. it took me WAY too long to realize that the main character was the antagonist, i'm normally pretty savvy to those kinds of twists so that took me off guard. my roommate had seen it once (or even twice?? i think?? i have no wish to watch that movie again, good for her though) and i didn't start clocking it until immediately before felix tricked oliver into going home. as they were in the car i was like "there's no fucking way that he lied about his family to felix. right. right??" oops. some good cool symbolism in there, i had a bit of an xkcd "of course everyone knows this myth" moment when my roommate was like "huh i wonder if there's a symbolic reason for the bull-man statue in the maze at the end, or felix's angel wing costume" and i was like surprise pikachu. the minotaur, the labyrinth, icarus, hello? wdym you don't know the story of the minotaur??? much to think about with this movie. i searched it on tumblr and feel like a lot of people missed the point in favor of blorbo romance but like, fair, it is the blorbo romance website. 8.5/10.

blazing saddles was our palette cleanser after that doozy of a film. my friend said at the end "anyone who thinks this movie is racist needs better media literacy" and i'm inclined to agree. yes the n word is in there - but the people saying it are so unambiguously depicted as insanely stupid and wrong, and the leading man is a charismatic handsome black man, and tbh the smartest person in the movie? arguably more homophobic (the end scenes) than racist but even then the way 'f*ggot' is deployed hit me like modern tumblr humor.

idk. even though it's a comedy it is Very clear to me that a message from this movie is "Racism Bad". i thought it was fun, didn't find the blonde lady's musical number very good or funny, got a few chuckles out of it overall. classic mel brooks. 7/10.

eating: my boy made us all a budae-jjigae type object on sunday and it was so so so yummy - photo from before simmering for like 30 minutes, with pork belly, spam, tofu, and a bunch of mushrooms, grunions, and kimchi:

before my roommate came back from a conference we did this cabbage and thin-sliced hotpot beef thing that was. so fucking good. we had it two separate nights in a row. just layering meat and napa cabbage and then cutting into ~2in strips, laying them in a pot, filling the center with mushrooms; make a broth of soy sauce/dashi/misc soup stock powder from leftover ramen, pour it over, simmer til cooked baby. delicious. this image is a little steamy bc i tried to take it right after opening the pot, lol

misc: wough. struggling to get back into the routine a little. i need to make more spreadsheets for my agonies (apartment hunting and determining what internships/programs to apply to for this summer). and i need to start using my planner again because i keep forgetting to do shit.

In all honesty, I was having issues imagining the nest. My mind kept flip flopping from a scary inactive volcano like the Queens nest from the first movie, or a lush paradise from the second. I eventually settled on how New Berk looks from the third movie. The island itself is completely surrounded by tall rocks and deep forests that scare any Vikings away. Not to mention the constant dragon calls that echo out from anywhere. The deeper you walk the scarier it gets before finally…it comes to a lush paradise

When this au takes place:

So in the canon, it’d start at the beginning of the first movie, the entire first movie MC is at the nest and just trying to get comfortable. The second movie is when MC really takes an active role, during the Netflix shows timeline MC meets Valka and bonds over their nests. Valka calls MC for help during the second movie, causing MC to lose the nest and the boys. MC helps Berk move but when Hiccup told them to let the dragons go they refused and took the nest and left. Saying that Hiccup should never have asked that and they will aid Berk when they fail due to their loss (rough draft but the majority of the AU happens during the second movie)

First research results!

I have managed to turn analysing the survey to be part of a uni project I have due next month so I finally found time to analyse the basics! I will link to a less colourful and "boring" table view of all of these results in a later post, as I still need to write the code for that part and it's late. For now there is image description on there!

This analysis is based on n=100 people.

Question 1: Where do you mainly read fanfiction?

Unsurprisingly most of us spend a lot of time on AO3, but I think we should pay respect to the three lonely souls who use ff.net, wattpad or tumblr respectively. But how much time are we spending reading on average? Well...

Question 2: How much time do you spent reading fanfiction in a week?

I don't know if I should be concerned that nearly 1/4 of us is spending over 15 hours per week, meaning at least 2 hours a day, reading, but then again I strongly belong into the orange category as well.

Question 3: What fandom(s) do you regularily consume fanfiction from?

I have cut to the top ten of fandoms mentioned, because the list of mentioned fandoms is too long to nicely display in any form. It isn't all that legible already.

Quick switch to bar chart, because the pie chart got too crowded and because this is a multiple choice question so the percentages wouldn't match up. Our top 3 consist of Merlin at 19%, Marvel at 37% and Harry Potter at 71%. This is the point where I really questioned the data for the first time. I don't know if these percentages are representable for fandom as a whole or if this is a case of a "selffulfilling prophecy". Meaning the channels over which I distributed the questionnaire reached only a specific group of people, namely the Harry Potter and Merlin folks, as I have the most contact to those fandoms, accidentally biasing the data.

Question 4: What ship-category do you read most often?

Funfact: for the first ... 50? 65? entries, F/M wasn't represented at all. We love our gays I guess. Different funfact: there IS the option to choose F/F in the questionnaire. It just wasn't used. Even now there is one (1) lonely soul who picked that option out of 126. (The form is still open so on there I can see more answers than I used in the analysis)

Question 5: What type of fan-content do you create?

This one was a surprise. I didn't think that there were this many people actively creating content, but then again, this might due to the people reached by this questionnaire, so possible bias again. (Top 3: Fanfiction 77%, Fanart 35%, Podfic 9%)

That's it for the fan-related part of the research, let's go on with the neurodiversity and demographic part. Especially for these coming results keep the possibility of a bias in the data in mind.

Question 6: What form of neurodiversity/mental health struggle does apply to you?

This one was the reason this research even exists, and while I haven't yet looked up what percentages of the general society have any of the neurodiversities, I believe that this is rather high, proving my subjective observation: A LOT of the people reading fanfic are neurodiverse in some way. Over half of the participants answered that they have some form of anxiety and/or depression, with some people even leaving me comments how fanfiction is their safe-space, helped them grow and accept themself. This one I will be focussing more on in the future analysis.

Question 7: What is your gender identity?

This as well surprised me to a degree. Even without comparing I know that this is FAR off of the official gender demographics of the general society. Especially the amount of enbies is surprising but nonetheless welcome.

Question 8: Do you consider yourself as part of the LGBTQIA+ community?

(No picture due to the 10 pic limit on posts) Results:

Yes: 90%

No: 6%

Prefer not to say: 4%

Now, again. A LOT of us are queer as fuck. This is most definitely not the norm in general society and even with a potential bias is significant enough to say that the majority of fanfic-readers are part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Question 9: If you consider yourself as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, what "part" of the community?

The answers here refer to the orientation differing from hetero or the gender identity differing from cis. Keep in mind that this question was voluntary and therefore not everyone did answer this. Actual percentage might be higher. (I don't know the number of people that answered that question right now but will go into more detail at a later date)

Question 10: How old are you?

Again a voluntary question. But on average the community seems to be in their mid or late twenties, although there are also a bunch of adults over 30 enjoying fanfiction. This graph especially reminded me to not assume anything about people within the community. The other person could be someone in still in school, dealing with their first crush or big exams. It could just as well be someone working full time or someone with kids, someone with grandkids even. Fanfic is and always should be open for people of all ages.

Question 11: Where do you live?

Sadly I haven't been able to reach people in africa or antarctica but oh well. The form is still online, should anyone from there want to add their input into this statistic! ;)

Overall results:

People reading fanfic are a lot more queer, neurodiverse and in general divers than one might expect. I for one was surprised to see how willing people where to answer a stupid online survey that wasn't supposed to lead anywhere.

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls, Season 1/Episode 10 ("Forgiveness and Stuff") Part 1 of 2

This one had to be split in two because Tumblr only allows you 30 pictures per post. Teehee. Wait until the Jess episodes, they'll probably be 5 parters. What happens in this episode: Christmas. Dean gets a stupid nickname from the Townies. Amy Sherman Palladino still refuses to drop this "Dean Likes To Read" utter nonsense. Lorelai doesn't bash Dean's skull in for skulking around her windows at night. Lorelai and Dean reenact Romeo and Juliet. Luke's serves hipster pizza. Richard goes to the hospital, where some sweet and emotionally touching scenes occur. Emily starts to cry and is probably confused about why her face is leaking. Lorelai buys Luke a hat and he makes her a Santa Burger.

I feel like there weren't enough Christmas-themed episodes of this show. A lot of winter-themed episodes, but not really Christmas. A Christmas day or Eve episode would have been really cute.

Nightmare stuff.

Adorable stuff. Doesn't anyone in Stars Hollow have jobs? What do they do all day when there's not a festival, pageant, fundraiser, or hootnanny to plan or attend?

Wow, SO SAUCY. I heard the Dean fandom (????) call themselves "Narcos". The fuck is that name? "Rogan" is equally stupid (I renamed them RoryBurger, which is much better), it sounds like Rogaine or Joe Rogan. "JavaJunkie" for Luke and Lorelai is clunky, and like, who is anything BUT Team Luke & Lorelai anyway? Is there a Team Digger? Team Rachel?

But "Literati"? That one's absolutely perfect. Dean falls asleep with the town princess and the worst thing that happens to him is some townies call him "Narcolepsy Boy"? Again, let this happen with Jess and see how he would fare. I really need to give a name to this "Re-imagine this scenario with Jess in Dean's shoes because Jess could never get away with anything Dean does" line of thought. The Mariano-Forester Paradox? Okay, we'll go with that for now. I doubt that's the correct use of the word "Paradox" but bear with me. Rory: I haven't spoken to Dean in four days. I told him not to call. Lane: Didn't he listen? Rory: No (smiles) Lane: Good boy. Ehhhh??

How many times must I plead for the writers of this show to finally drop this "Dean loves to read" thing! It makes no sense and I'm over it! For the love of crackers... Lane: "Just imagine that you gave Dean smething really romantic, and he gave you...a football." Okay but a football would be way more romantic than a piece of spare change on a string.

I love this outfit/jewelry/hair on Alexis. She looks really pretty.

Scanning for any interesting ornaments on the Gilmore tree, but only the "No Pouting" one stands out.

Lorelai is eating a SALAD? Willingly? This is highly unusual.

That's slightly more believable Lorelai Behavior. I guess the punch line is that she's supposed to be depressed because she couldn't get a pizza delivered, so she resorts to eating a salad, but why did she have it in the house in the first place?

A faint knocking is heard. Lorelai looks up from her depression salad...

She gets up to investigate... the knocking continues...

OMG WHAT THE HELL!!!!

Like something out of Romeo and Fucking Juliet.

We are about to witness one of the first and most nauseating scenes out of the Dean and Lorelai Affair (henceforth known as DALA), that thing where Dean does or says something creepy, inappropriate, hurtful, annoying or weird, and Lorelai's reaction to it is...very sus. I CANNOT be the only one who sees this...and thankfully I know I'm not, I think most people just don't want to admit it, lol. Lorelai engages Dean in gentle conversation, instead of grabbing a blunt instrument & striking him unconcious. The Mariano-Forrester Paradox is in play. Jess pulled something similar at Lane's house, but Mrs. Kim actually had the appropriate reaction, which was to grab a weapon. This even outcreeps that time Jess emerged from the bushes in Emily's driveway at night in Season 6 (to which Rory only reacted with mild surprise and didn't hop back in her car and run him over). Can the boys on this show stop being so creepy please?!

I feel like there is some sort of cosmic justice behind the fact that Lorelai spent years touting the Virtues of Dean Forrester while panicking whenever Jess breathed around Rory, only for Jess and Rory to never actually have sex but a married Dean ends up taking her daughter's virginity. Honestly, a smile creeps onto my face when I imagine how everything eventually backfires in Lorelai's face. (Not to mention the cosmic justice of Jess eventually becoming her literal family. I hope she likes being called Auntie Lorelai).

Nah, she's about a minute away from inviting you in for a cup of cocoa with little marshmallows in it and a snuggle on the couch.

He's such a dickhead when he does this thing where he talks over Lorelai like he's not a fucking 17 year old kid talking to someone's mother. "You can hate me if you want." Good, no one asked. Shut up.

Lies, lies, lies. Dean:"She'll go to Harvard, and if she doesn't, it won't be because of me."

Yes, Mr "Oh, it's about Harvard, excuse me, I forgot!" has always been very supportive of Rory's dreams. Why is Lorelai STILL having a gentle little conversation with this creepwad through the window? Slam the window down on his fucking fingers, Lorelai! DO IT! Lorelai & Dean continue to flirt for the next several minutes.

"I wuv you Boo Bear."

Lorelai, I notice you still aren't listening to me. You're letting him leave without smashing the window down on his head or at least his fingers. Can we have a word? I say this as your staunch ally in Season 1, Rory: I'm gravely concerned that your mother wants to have an affair with your teenage boyfriend. Or already is. Lorelai (Gently): Dean, we have a really nice front door. You should use it sometime. Lorelai to Jess In The Same Situation: You know, we have a really nice front door. I may or may not have booby trapped it. Just curious, are you scared of pirahnas? Good luck.

Here's a terrible joke I made up all by myself: Why is Santa Claus a better man than Jess Mariano's father? Because Jess held out hope that Santa would visit him once a year.

You're sad now. I'm sorry. I read a story once that imagined Jess was born on Christmas Eve and Liz tried to name him Jesus but forgot the U on the birth certificate. Part 2 of this review will be posted soon!

Rating Themes To Read My Blog In

So, I don't care who says it doesn't matter what theme you use Tumblr in, not every Blog is going to look good, let alone be readable. With that being said, I went through the pain staking time, to go through every single one and rate which ones to read my blog in!

True Blue - 7/10: Great for the most part, It's readable. Points deducted, for not being eye sensitivity friendly. The white of the posts, mixed with the red lettering I use for headers may fuck with your eyes.

Dark Mode - 9/10: There's a lot of dark colours, fits my red lettering headers well, the white lettering I'm not much of a fan of. However, the dark post keeps it from not straining your eyes. This one I would recommend!

Low-contrast Classic- 6/10: I mean, you can read everything. The red lettering mix with the off blue most likely will have a chance of giving you a headache. The pictures that with my fanfiction posts, still look good with this theme.

Cement- 5/10: Jesus Christ! I wasn't expecting the bright ass background change! Though, after my eyes adjusted, you could still read everything, the light grey allows the red lettering to still be readable without it being, too much. Don't recommend if you are sensitive to light!

Cybernetic - 7/10: Honsetly, it's not that bad. The red and green mix can fit with rose and leaf emoji I use in my titles. But, I also see it has the colours of Rapheal, from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

Canary- 5/10: Holy Fucking shit! Why? Why would you do that? Why have a dark theme, then catch me off guard with a bright fucking screen!? I couldn't see that the post and background had two different colours, until my eyes adjusted. The Canar yellow of the posts though, do complient the red lettering. So the red lettering shouldn't give you a headache reading.

Ghost -3/10: Who the fuck came up with this theme? Are you happy with people's suffering? Why the fuck is there purple and red has the colours to add with the snow fucking white?? Terrible, The worse! Gives me a headache!

Vampire - 9/10: Okay, okaaay. I see you. I actually love this theme, it matches the blog, my red letters work with the red accents. I might change mine to this..

Pumpkin -7/10: Not the best for my colour blind folks, the red and orange are too similar in colour. If you don't mind that, go for it. You can still read everything.

Snow Bright - 2/10: Who the fuck uses this one?!? Who thought this theme was a good idea?? I just want to talk! It's readable, but god fucking damn! That's bright as fuck!

Goth Rave -10/10: This is the theme I use, so everything is being written with this theme on. So obliviously, it would be best to read it in this theme.

Pride - 4/10: This was not for the gays... Good, I guess, gave me a headache after like 5 mins. The blog is readable, but definitely an eye sore. Wouldn't recommend if you have eye sensitivity.

3. screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr

I'll be honest, I don't involve myself in the drama of the fandom so if it's a take I wouldn't agree with, odds are that I didn't see it as I don't actively seek out things that don't interest me. I will say this, and I'll say it carefully: If you want to look at Billy as a tragic character because of his traumatic life, that's fine, but that doesn't excuse everything he did. He's an inherently complex character and it's possible to hate that someone is racist and also hate that that person was abused. I don't know if that really answered the question or not, but it's a take of my own.

6. which ship fans are the most annoying?

Honestly all of us 😂 We all annoy each other for different reasons. I will say that nothing has made me more angry than the Steve/Eddie vs the Chrissy/ Eddie thing. It's not even how the fans of either interact with each other, it's the fact that Joseph and Grace have been dragged into it. They're actors playing a role and shouldn't have to play mediators for fans. They definitely shouldn't receive hate or backlash either.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

Specific to Steddie shippers: That Eddie is perfect or Steve is perfect. They're both loveable doofuses that absolutely don't know conflict resolution. It's definitely not all pet names and snuggles but massive arguments and silent treatments.

9. worst part of canon

God I could go on for so long that you would almost believe that I don't like the show.

I think ultimately it's that up until this season there hasn't really felt like high stakes or consequences. Steve and Robin were tortured and left with just bruises and a shock blanket. The injuries the characters have sustained would leave someone sidetracked and bedbound in the real world but they constantly shake it off. It's like the only consequences occur when necessary to the plot. Steve gets bitten by bats and strangled twice: Let's tie a shirt around his waist and have him get dizzy once. Eddie gets bitten by bats: Kill him for sad value.

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

I'm really not into Kas!Eddie or vampire Eddie. I'm all for bringing him back and if that's the way that the Duffers want to do it: Great! It's a sound theory and it makes sense to the plot, it's just not something I am really into when I'm reading things like fanfiction.

Here's a plot twist: I'm not going to talk about Steve or Eddie for this one.

So I read through your fantastic take on RWBY Volume 7 and and I must say!

You have basically shut down every single criticism on RWBY's writing from volume 6 to volume 7.

I happen to Blaze some of my posts to spread it to more people across tumblr, so my thought is that if you spend $10 using Tumblr Blaze after it reaches 100 notes, or at least 20 reblogs, the entire community should be able to see it.

I'm going to try promoting it to the other major RWBY blogs here, because this is the best review of volume 7 I have seen in 3 years.

I appreciate the kind words, but I wouldn't say I've shut down every criticism of Volume 6 and 7 in this post. I have a few of my own that will probably manifest as their own posts at some point. I definitely do not want this post to be taken as an unconditional defense of RWBY from all forms of criticism, as while I do think it gets a great deal of unwarranted and often downright spiteful criticism, I also think there are many places where the writing doesn't hold up nearly as well as it did when covering the topics I discussed in my post. It's a good show overall, and I love it a lot (or I wouldn't be writing all this stuff), but it's far from perfect.

TL;DR: I’m sending a gift to a friend (who has been repeatedly hit with darkness) that she loved and jokingly asked for in a post because she didn’t think anyone would actually buy it, and I’m doing it anonymously.

Ok so I am terrible at keeping certain secrets to myself. Tell me your deepest, darkest, shameful secret and I’ll die with it, but tell me about a gift or surprise you’re doing and it eats at me with excitement. I have to tell someone, usually my mom (which should be a given because she’s my best friend).

I’m even worse when it’s me doing the surprise or giving the gift. I just get so excited about how the person will react to it (I put a lot of thought, significance, and love into the gifts/cards/services I give). I have to tell someone (again, usually my mom. It makes it 1,000x harder when the thing is for her and I have to tell someone else or I’ll explode).

I have decided not to tell anyone who personally knows me in my life that I’ve done my latest secret gift. BUT, I’m dying to tell someone. No one on here knows me outside of Tumblr, and few people in my life even know I write fanfiction (let alone what fandom they belong to or that it’s Tumblr). A couple know I’m on Tumblr, but haven’t the slightest idea I actually post anything.

So, here’s my latest random act of…love? Kindness? Honestly giving gifts is my output love language.

A friend I met a few years ago when she started working at the bakery with me posted early last month (December) about a piece of clothing she was in love with and jokingly said “someone please buy this for me 😭😭🤣”. I tracked it down to a shopping website, and took a screenshot of the price and item name and everything for later, because after 2 years of no income I am officially broke. Well, I got a little spending money for Christmas. I bought a couple small things on New Year’s Day I need electronic-accessory wise. Then I was scrolling through my pictures for a particular one and found the screenshot of the top—and smiled.

Now, something you should know about this girl (10 years or more older than me), is that when we met she was in an abusive marriage. It had progressed past manipulation and emotional/mental abuse to physical about two years before I met her. She also has 2 sons from a previous marriage (also not a good one) who love their mother very much, and had reached that point that they were starting to interfere a little with the abuse. One of the first times she opened up to me in regards to this was when she had started to fear that her husband would start hurting her boys, but felt she was stuck. She didn’t make enough, she felt, to support them well enough on her own.

Over the course of the next 6 months, I repeatedly told her that she deserved better, that both she and her boys were in a toxic, unsafe environment. I prayed for and with her, and made sure to always be encouraging and show her that she was worth more than he led her to believe; that she had other people in her corner who were ready and willing to help her and her boys. I had a card in my wallet from way before at school for an organization that helped women in those situations, and had always wondered why I kept it. I gave it to her, which I feel was the reason I had it. She contacted them. She filed for divorce. They got her a divorce attorney. She and her boys moved in with her parents, and me and 4 others I rounded up helped her go get HER stuff from her now-ex’s place while he was under court order not to be there. He had cameras that he let slip he watched, and which rooms they were in, and as the others loaded the last thing into the truck, I said “hey ___, you’ve lost probably the best you’ve ever had, and probably will ever. Oh, and fuck you” as I flipped the room off (never knew exactly where the cams were, just that they were there). The women’s advocacy group helped set her up in an apartment complex that worked with them at a low rate (a nice apartment with more space than she had furniture to fill). They even paid for her rent and utilities while she was in divorce court. We helped her move her stuff again, and even gathered things from within our family and friend circle that was in good shape but not used/wanted anymore. She cried each time, and just kept thanking us and was worried she couldn’t repay us. I finally told her “___, you’re not going to repay us; we don’t want you to. This is what being a Christian, a child of God, is about. If anything, we want you to pay it forward one day, when you come across someone in need.”

The breaking point, when she said realized they were out of the dark, was that Christmas, when my family forwent buying things we didn’t need and instead bought her boys both wants and needs (at first she didn’t know why I was asking so much about her kids, then figured it out and cried). And for her, too. I watched this woman, who had been in 2 bad marriages and just wanted her boys taken care of, go from being timid and unsure to confident, happy, positive, and strong. She is very much the “fuck around and find out” type now that she’s herself again. She will one day be a bridesmaid at my wedding, she’s such an important part of my life now. She’s fallen on hard times again, and is fighting for custody of her kids (a family member of their father’s has legal custody and is doing a shit job and lying through their teeth in court), but she has an amazing guy and his son to keep her grounded. She says I seem to always pop up with cards or gifts or just kind words and encouragement when she needs it most. She doesn’t realize how much she helps me in turn, that she’s helped me in the struggles with my own faith the last 2 years of chronic long-COVID illness.

She’s a forever friend.

So, as I looked at the screenshot of that top she really wanted last night, I decided I was going to give a little more sunshine into her life to start the year on the positive. I ordered it, set the address to hers and put her name on it, and will be anxiously tracking it and waiting to see if she posts about it and/or figures out it was me (haven’t decided if I’ll admit it was me if she strongly suspects or not).

Everyone deserves little things to show that someone cares, that they’re not alone in the dark this world brings. That besides (or in spite of) people expected to care (who may or may not), there are people who have chosen to.
