okay I see quite a lot of people that have trouble embedding their links in tumblr bio. I've only ever discovered a method that is pain in the ass, but it works.

- on your pc version you go into blog settings

- then in the custom theme section u go into edit theme

- then there's the description section (see pic below)

As you can see, I have a little code written there.

Essentially, anything you want to make into a link has to go like this:

<a href="your link">the text of your link</a>

Then you have it and it should be visible in your tumblr bio like this:

(the red text in the pic)

IMPORTANT THING THO.

Save the text of your bio with the code in a notebook on your pc or sth, because If you'll try to edit your bio just in your blog settings (not in the edit theme), it tends to fuck up the link by changing it to normal text and you have to do it all over again.

Main highlights with added info:

-A reminder to please email us if you've got order questions or need help. Social media DMs aren't reliable and also make it much harder to connect you to your order, etc. Plus my bf is just way better at customer service than me lol, so if you email us things will get handled 1000x faster!!

-Anon asks have been disabled. End of an era, truly. But anon hate these days is so boring and uncreative anyway so what's the point. If you want to send an ask and not have it posted publically, just let me know if the ask. (But in that case, once again, it's probably a situation where you're better off emailing us rather than sending an ask that Tumblr may or may not eat depending on how hungry it is that day)

-Also I finally put into our tumblr bio that yes we are still just a 2-person business. I hear tell that my shop makes us appear to be a much bigger operation than we actually are (btw thank you so much for thinking things are too polished to possibly be a tiny business run by 2 people and a middle-manager dog out of an apartment), but please keep that in mind when it comes to what we're able to handle, how quickly we can expand/add products, things often being out of stock, etc etc.

About me~

Hello! I'm Hannah and if you stumbled upon my blog - welcome! I'm glad you're here 🥰

A little about me: I'm a married 90's kid but I don't have any kiddos (yet). I work part-time as a barista, make designs for Redbubble, and am working on a couple writing/editing projects. I love coffee, tea, purple, pink, and pastel colors. I struggle with fatigue, major depression, anxiety, and C-PTSD but don't let my weaknesses hold me back or define who I am. I LOVE to create and although I've had some major slumps with my mental health, I always find myself going back to it. When I'm not creating, I enjoy spending time with my hubby or my closest friends and family. I also love video games (cozy indie games are my favorite), reading, music, collaborating with characters or story ideas, and watching Bob's Burgers, old TV shows, or anime.

My projects: Skyglass (main): middle grade fantasy series I'm currently writing about a bunch of fae kiddos. Premise: A young orphaned girl learns she’s from a magical world. But she must make an important choice—stay in her comfort zone and let fear control her, or step up and help change the course of history in her new world.

Project Burley (on hiatus): collaborative project I started on Instagram in 2019. It's about a creative arts school that houses middle school through high school students in a world where creativity is severely looked down on. I still love my kiddos deeply from this project, so I plan on posting more about them here. And if you're ever interested in reading my short stories and learning even more about my kids, links to my stories are at the bottom of this post and in my linktree.

TBN "Oreo" project (side): another story I've got in development that'll probably turn into a book. Premise: After being sent to a school for young criminals and social outcasts, Theo must team up with the eccentric Orly. Because their school isn't what he thought it was, and they are all in danger of being turned into weapons of war for their country. (I'll use the "Project Oreo" tag for this now).

AND I'm bound to post about miscellaneous other characters and story ideas. Since I play around with a lot -- but those above are my most consistent/serious ones at the moment.

Other interests: In case you couldn't already tell, I'm passionate about original characters, stories, and content. It's not that I hate fan made content (and you're bound to see fan art reblogged on my side blog sometimes), but there is something truly special about original ideas so that is where my main interest lies. I really hope to find many original character artists and writers here to love and support.

I'm also a huge advocate for mental health and strive to be a light in this dark, chaotic world. I plan to make my blogs safe, happy places for anyone to enjoy who shares common interests with me.

Just saw a post to redditors reccomending they put their age in their bio cuz other people might block them otherwise to be safe, which is their prerogative to curate their own soace but yall come on

Never feel pressured to put your age (or Any personal info) Anywhere on your blog. I've been here since maybe 2010, and that has never been mandatory. Shit like that can be dangerous. Keep this as private or public as you want, so long as you understand the consequences. If someone blocks You because they dont know your age, thats on them. Never feel pressured to reveal your age to strangers.

This is basic internet safety, but also an argument that has led to bs purity culture in the past. If you don't want to expose personal info, then dont, and don't try to convince others the only way theyll be able to experience tumblr is by doing so. Thats fucked up

Hi fellow tumblrites! I’m having an issue where I can’t tag other accounts or include links to other pages in my Tumblr bio. 😭 I’ve done a bunch of troubleshooting, Googled a bunch of stuff, tried restarting, using different browsers, and edited my profile using the HTML code. Nothing’s worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Replace https://LINK.com with your link and LINK_NAME with the text your want the hyperlink to show. Paste this into your bio.

(you will have to redo it everytime you edit appearance but that’s just the world we live in)

Troubleshooting:

If half your blog breaks you probably used the wrong quotation marks. They have to be the straight ones not “” (on mobile hold the quote key to get it)

Or you deleted one of the > marks. Put it back :)

(ask questions if you need to, no question is a stupid question)

I find very uncomfortable reading a random bio on tumblr and discover:

- that their DNI section is full of words i don’t know the meaning of, but I assume they represent some twisted or harmful ideologies, ideas or philias that I didn’t know they even are a thing.

- that they are a minor. Therefore a minor KNOWS the existence of that said twisted or harmful people, ideologies, ideas or philias. 

Oh my god, I’m 26 and i’ve experienced bad situations on the web some times BUT i didn’t know about people who are this harmful AND THIS MINOR KNOWS. They know the lingo, the keywords and everything about this. 

Yes, they are explicitly rejecting them, ok, that’s perfect! BUT THEY SHOULDN’T EVEN KNOW that those people, ideologies, ideas or philias exist. Oh my god. It’s sad.

(Maybe the right phrasing is “people and ideas that harmful shouldn’t exist at all” but that’s practically impossible so my plea is “minors shouldn’t be exposed to that people and ideas”)
