From the ttte movies you seen, whats your fav?
✨THE GREAT RACE✨
The Great Race is THE BEST ONE! I may not have seen most of the other movies yet, but I'm very sure NOTHING is ever gonna beat this movie for me.
You're telling me they made a Thomas movie centered around what is basically a Train Pageant (tm) AND they made it a MUSICAL!!??? Hell yeah! Sign me up!
But then you actually get in to the movie and it gets even better.
EVERY SONG IS A BOP! EVERY! 👏 SINGLE! 👏ONE! 👏 THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE MISS IN THIS MOVIE! I don't know what they were on, but they were pumping out JAM after JAM!
Secondly, I think the Great Railway Show was a great way to introduce more foreign engines into the show in a way that made sense. Pity that we didn't really get to see much of them. But I also feel like we didn't really need to. I mainly just liked that we got to SEE them.
One of the things I LOVE about Brenner Era CGI Thomas is how the world of Sodor feels so much bigger. In the model series I get this sense that the Island of Sodor is this quaint little English countryside island where nothing much happens, and the engine's shenanigans are the most interesting things to happen in day-to-day life. Whereas I feel like in Brenner Era CGI Thomas, the world feels much grander. Still very much an English countryside island. But the island itself feels much bigger. The engines and the people living on it feel much busier. And in some ways I would say the cast itself feels more diverse once they gave the characters unique voices. I'm a sucker for shows that allow their characters to speak in different dialects, and giving Duck his West Country accent and the narrow gauge engines Welsch accents honestly endeared them to me more.
Anyway, main point I'm trying to get at is that the introduction of The Great Railway Show helped to expand the Thomas universe and show the rest of the world interacting with Sodor and vice-versa, even if only for a short period of time. It adds to the grandness of the world.
I also really like Thomas's arc in this movie. With how often he gets picked on for being a "little engine" over the course of the series, it's no wonder the guy's a little self conscious. If the narrator called me "short and stumpy" three times in a row I'd be pretty self-conscious too lol. But jokes aside, I did like seeing Thomas have conflict with this part of his identity. His verses in "You Can Only Be You" really made me feel for him, and I loved being able to see him finally come around at the end.
And of course, we can't talk about The Great Race without mentioning
HOW PRETTY JAMES'S DECORATIVE PAINTWORK IS!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOOK AT HIM! LOOK AT MY PRETTY BOY! GAZE UPON HIS BEAUTY AND HIS SPLENDIDNESS!!!
And you know what? I'm gonna say it. James deserved to win Best Decorated Engine. Sorry not sorry RAJIV! But they don't call me the Red Engine Apologist for nothing! My pookie deserved to win!
Tumblr media
One of these days I've got to do humanized versions of James's and Emily's looks from this movie. I can see it very clearly in my head but I also want to, um, draw other characters HAHAHAHA
Anyway, TLDR, The Great Race was an amazing movie with a killer soundtrack, great story, and a concept that appeals to ME SPECIFICALLY. I also genuinely think it would adapt very well into a stage musical (similar in visual style to the Spongebob musical). I have a clear vision in my head for what it would look like but unfortunately I don't have the money nor resources to make it a reality so it would just stay in my head. But just know that every time I watch this movie I am actively thinking about how I would hypothetically adapt this to the stage.
I''ve spent WAY too much time rambling about The Great Race but yeah, there's your answer.
Also if you're curious, here's every Thomas movie I've watched so far ranked from favorite to least favorite.
The Great Race (obviously)
Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure (Thomas had a great arc in this one, "Never Overlook a Little Engine" was fun, and visuals are spectacular. Solid movie but it can't beat the campiness of The Great Race)
The Adventure Begins (Solid movie. The other two are just more fun imo)
Tale of the Brave (It was a good movie and I probably would have appreciated it more if I watched it in High Quality. But unfortunately I can't stand Kerry Shale James and so I chose to watch a grainy upload on YouTube instead.)
Journey Beyond Sodor (I'm sorry to my one mutual (you know who you are) who said this was their favorite movie. But unfortunately, in my opinion, the songs do not slap as hard as in The Great Race)

So i finally watched BWBA (Season 24)
My very useless review of BWBA Season 24
Please make your own opinions. Don't be like me (way before this) and base yours off of everyone's else. That's why I put useless, because it is if you hadn't made your own.
Surprisingly, this season was in plain sight, as well as other T&F seasons.
Emily's Best Friend
I hated it. I still hate. Sorry, but the 2-12 interaction could not save it. I still love that moment though. To me, Emily is OOC.
Thomas' Fuzzy Friend
Wholesome filler episode with a ref to Thomas the Babysitter, which is one of my all-time favorites. I love it.
The Great Little Engine Show
Eh- i like the mention of the model engines. Don't have anything against it but it doesn't stick out. .3.
Thomas and the Forest Engines
I like it. :D I like the storyline about why certain engines are allocated to certain places.
Emily to the Rescue
Peak Emily moment. I love it but why did it take so long for her to get her number??? 😭 Oh, well. I still love it.
I love that bring out her caring aspect. It's like her intro episode. (I finally watched it and MAN, i wish I got that Emily growing up 😭 she just came off as a bossy big sister /neg)
Shankar's Makeover
Shankar's like me. /srs I like this episode for addressing situations like this. Stage fright, not wanting attention, and being someone who keeps to themself. Nice episode.
Nia and the Unfriendly Elephant
The references are nice. I love Nia's love for animals and her assignment to the park. Before, her job wasn't permanent. Also, Belle is here. I love her. I love them. I like it. :]
Until I watch all of Nia's episodes, I won't be commenting on how she supposedly repeats learning things from Kenya all the damn time.
However, I do have a problem with the argument being made. It feels like it dimisses that different cultures interact like this most of the time, bringing up the ways they handle certain situations. From my expierence, i hear where these differences come from all the time, even if I know the person well enough.
I just don't see the problem with Nia bringing up how things different are between her old home and Sodor. It feels relatable, despite the fact that I'm Hispanic (Mexican), and it makes sense.
James the Super Engine
I ADORE THIS EPISODE. I've talked about it before but in short, I love how James is portrayed. Could've EASILY written him as a hero who gave up and didn't bother checking up on Rebecca when she yelled for help. But no, they went the right way. James IS caring but considering the environment he's had to work in for so many years, you can see why he doesn't show it. But here, HE DOES.
And when he realizes that Rebecca is in trouble? Its his normal voice, whereas before, it was his superhero voice.
My honest reaction whenever i watch it:
Tumblr media
Thomas' Not-So-Lucky Day
Eh- I think the lesson is pretty good about getting those good things by thinking positively and working towards them instead of letting luck be the decision maker.
Ace's Brave Jump
I dont care.
Nia's Bright Idea
W Nia for being resourceful and bringing things together. I like it.
Cleo's First Snow
I like it.
Sonny's Second Chance
I like it.
Thomas and the Inventor's Workshop
I dont care for Ruth but I like it. Its decent.
The Inventor's Bridge
That bridge is going to fall over but there's probably physics that I don't understand that makes it make sense. At the end though, i could care less.
Yong Bao and the Tiger
I've seen it before.
I initially didn't like it due to the dynamics of the story. Like why is a massive engine like Yong Bao shunting in the yard?
However, i like it more now. I can dismiss the dynamic.
Gordon and Rebecca, Coming Through!
I've talked about it before. Its confusing, especially with its placement. Would've worked better as the episode following 'Confusion Without Delay".
Despite this, i like their dynamic.
Gordon's behavior is tiresome. I usually ignore it but i've seen enough of CGI TTTE that im getting sick and tired out of it. I've heard that his character growth was forgotten but i havent seen enough to have a say.
Kenji on the Rails
Mixed feelings on this one because Hiro's leaving. :( Stop writing off my favorite characters.
In my second, I noticed Hiro's "konnichiwa" and got thrown off completely. Odd how they're JUST now bringing out Hiro's first language. I don't remember seeing this brought out before BWBA.
Not really a review because of that. I'm sour about it.
Cleo the Road Engine
Ah, the intro episode. I thought it was in season 23. Its just Thomas and Bertie rewritten but Cleo is avoiding her jobs. No, it somehow didn't destroy my liking to her.
Thomas' Animal Friends
I think its cute but Thomas would've straight up ignored Gordon.
Overall impression: Not as shitty as its made to be. It has its good moments and bad moments.
I'm so glad that I wasn't bombarded with fantasy sequences with this one. Those are just plain ridiculous, for the most part. In some episodes, it fits like James the Super Engine and Thomas' Animal Friends. The one in Emily's Best Friend made me cringe but I enjoyed it because its Edwad and Emily.
Listen, I'm desperate for 2-12 content, man, and I've been ignoring model era for a good while because I just dont want to.
Uh, that's it.

Thomas and Friends S24 Ep8 - James the Super Engine
This was a very silly episode, yet, it’s perfect for Thomas. Sometimes you don’t need a very railway realistic episode with a good moral. Sometimes you need a silly episode with reasonable bases.
After all, there's bound to be a point in the railway's life where comic book were all that people talking about, which definitely would have caught wisp between the engines.
Also, yes, I maybe have been thinking about James being a super hero in my Fantasy!AU.

4 Days Later, So Far...(UPDATE!!!)
WARNING: THIS IS LONG!
4 Days Later, After coming back from work? I looked at my Tumblr Account.
...
HoLySHIT!
I Didn't Expect This to happen So Far, I got 50+ likes? and Some Reblogs on my Mavis x Rosie Art? Omg...
*Screams, Cries of Joy*
I'M SHOOK, SURPRISED, AND I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT THE SAME TIME!!
And you Know? I Think I got there So Far.
Okie Okie Sorry About that I got really Excited there, Because my other art and post either got little likes + Reblogs or Noun of them stuff, And This? I didn't really expect to get this much likes and some reblogs on my Mavis x Rosie Art ;;v;;.
Alright *takes a deep breath* Allow me to introduce myself For all time sake, For those of you Who don't Know? Hi My name is River K.C., However you can call me R.K.(Mainly), Rio, Keithlyn, Keith, Kei, R.K.C.M., or any nickname as long as it's not rude. I'm a user who post a lot of My Art for the most part, sometimes shitpost and Personal stuff(Not all, Since I rather not reveal most of them and Will for the most part, keep things a Secret. I'm very protective towards my Life and History, So NEVER EVER! ask me questions such as my age, my real name, or even asking me to do a face reveal -.-, So Please Don't  ask me those type of personal questions~). As of Recently I've been getting a Tons of likes, Some Reblogs, on my Recent Art and Honestly I can't Thank you all enough. This Is just Beautiful, Like Really Beautiful, That I didn't expect That I would get This much Likes. Like I said from the started I haven't get too much likes on any post form my other stuff for a very long time. Before I made this account I was once formerly using keixblade, Reason why I didn't uses Account anymore because I felt like I need a new Fresh Start of my blog and Things have been changing over the Years so That's why I decided to make a new blog and you know after making a new blog I've been starting to post again, such as my previous art, older post, welcoming myself, and I started to finally reblog for the first time which I haven't done in my old previous account. After that, I checked out my favorite artist, have plans to follow them soon. I don't usually post at the weeks but I'll definitely try my best to post my stuff at the weekends, You know Saturday, Sunday, But Sometimes Friday, I might be able to sometime post on the week of I had the free time to do so.
Story Time~! Before I made this Account and During Late March 2021, when I started to have some interest in TTTE for the first time, I looked up at some websites to research on the series and watched abit of Episodes about it(Thanks to Steve' Reviews Tugs, Thomas for PS1(Highly Recommend you all check it out if you had the JP PlayStation or an Emulator ;), and a Fan Animation That I won't tell because I'll talk about this in the Future, it's that one Fan Animation that I'll give a review on soon it's a pretty controversial one 😅 Yeah you know Exactly Why I'm Talking about, So DON'T Bash on me for this) So far It's Interesting, For the most part I Mostly got some Thomas info from the Wiki, Reddit, and Tumblr as well. When I did got to Tumblr, I check out some of the TTTE Art Most of them that I came across from my experience are really good :) But out of all the artist in the site? One Actually caught my interest and decided to check their blog out, their art is Beautiful and how amazing their Humanized Version of TTTE style is. And that blog I'm talking about is none other than @asktrio516, I always looked up to them, so much so that this was before when I started to come back to tumblr to started fresh. This blog gave me so much nostalgic feelings for some reason, not because of Thomas But Because of the human Version of these Characters, In Fact? This isn't my First Time That I look up to an artist for their art and for their humanized version form Another Show I'll take about soon(I Even alot of Fanart of this person's Human Version of these Characters, Again will make a separate post about it). So 2 months after Getting into Thomas for real, I saw the asktrio516 blog posting the Official Ships in their blog, Obviously I was very Excited when I saw it and In Fact? I Actually Loved Most of these Pairing that is Featured in this posted(Stay Tuned for the next post ;))). After reading the post, I saw one Pairing that Interested me and it was Mavis × Rosie, I always have this feeling that ngl? I always see them being together and wish they can have some Screen Time Together(Yes I know What's Going on but we don't Talk about that Disaster...yet....😤.....Damnit just God Damn You Mattle). So For A while? I've actually been planning on making an Mavis and Rosie Drawing in Emma's TTTE Human Designs. So it only took a quite for a while to get there, Reason I didn't do this sooner because of work, I had to help with my Friend, and I was very nervous yet shy at doing Mavis and Rosie being together at first. Thankfully with enough confidences and encouragement? In August, I ask the asktrio516 admin on Instagram if I can Asked something on tumblr, Fortunately they respond with yes(Honestly I was so Happy About It 😁) so at the same month, That's where I officially got my new Tumblr Account since I felt like my old Account is a bit dated and This is where I also have the confidence to ask the asktrio516 admin if I can draw Mavis with Rosie being together(Since Again they mentioned of having interested of doing this ship) and That's how the story goes c:.
I Really Apologize This is this So Frickin Long!
...
Again I Have to Thank all you all for the Likes and Reblog of my Mavis x Rosie Art for asktrio516 blog~ It really Means alot, and I definitely have to Thank asktrio516 She's one of my Inspiration and i'm glad they accept my permission for doing this art(I'm sorry but Thank you so Much and Also Happy Birthday Emma 🥳).
You know Because of that? I might post some more Thomas the Tank Engine stuff soon and Even at some point? Might make a Full on TTTE Side Account for both Normal and my TTTE AU(Since There's at times that I will posted other things that isn't Thomas related(Also more info of my TTTE AU Coming Soon-) Heck! I might do some more TTTE Ships Later, If there's a high demand for them from Me? I might able to do Murdoch × Arthur, Gordon × BoCo, Proteus × Lady, and Hiro × Henry Next(4 of one of my Favorite Underrated Pairings, there's more I will do but for now I'm putting the ones that people haven't heard of or haven't talked about that much, Yet~ ;;))).
Hell! I might even do my favorite popular Thomas the Tank Engine pairing soon.
(Don't ask why because I'll make a expiration soon on why I love them but for now, There's just something that They have in my taste of shipping)
Thank you for Reading this and Have a great day, Goodbye~☆.

She Ra Season 2 Ep 3 - Signals Commentary
We see Hordak and his imp thingy.
Useless.
Hey, why is Entrapta still in the group shot at the end of the theme song? She’s not with the Rebellion anymore.
Adora can't believe that Entrapta’s working for the Horde.
Bow tries to lighten the mood. Glimmer is still optimistic that they can defeat the Horde. They’re now the Best Friend Quad apparently.
We see Entrapta working on something.
Catra tries to explain her plan to Hordak, but fails.
Hordak is a really cool villain. Also that imp is creepy.
Okay guys, I have to charge my computer now, and since I tend to suffer exhaustion whenever I bingewatch a Netflix show (I pretty much can never binge a whole season in one go), I’ll save the rest of this episode for later. So I put a line thingy underneath. See you guys later.
Okay guys, I’m back, and I decided I won’t do anymore live episode commentaries. It’s really tiring to document everything that happens on screen and having to constantly pause the episode, so I’m going to write a review on the episode instead.
The main plot is the Best Friend Squad going to Alwyn, and they think the place is haunted. Adora then recalls a bunch of ghost stories that the Horde told her, and then starts to believe them. In the end, it’s revealed that the ghosts are actually First Ones holograms. This offers a good moral on how you can’t believe everything you hear. Plus, I’m a big fan of plots that involve the characters exploring a haunted setting, this ep reminded me of Haunted Henry from TTTE.
The secondary plot is Entrapta trying to get access to one of Hordak’s tools. She ends up finding out that he is planning to conquer more worlds with his technology. Also, Catra is annoyed with all the folders and paperwork that come with the responsibilities of being a Force Captain. Scorpia gets some funny moments, such as trying to pronounce ‘iridium’. Plus, the subplot is all about Entrapta, which makes this a win for me. Great episode 10/10

Now that you finished the classic era, what are your top ten favorite classic era episodes?
Apologies for this ask taking so long, but I wanted to take the time to answer your question in the detail that it deserves.
Before I begin, I just want to clarify that this is a list of my top 10 favorite episodes. This is not an indicative list of which Thomas episodes I think are necessarily written the best. They are ranked purely based on how much I enjoy them.
Anyway, Top 10 Classic Era Thomas Episodes, Let's GO!
10. S6 Ep15: "James and the Red Balloon"
Tumblr media
Kicking off the list with a James episode (because favoritism ALWAYS wins in this house)! There's definitely a nostalgia factor to this episode, as it's one of the few episodes that I actually remember from childhood (I have the "James and the Red Balloon and Other Stories" vhs tape). But also I just love the irony of James getting jealous of another vehicle that is also red.
Also I love his sad face after he saves the balloon.
Tumblr media
It's like "Congratulations James! You saved the day!" and then James is just like "But I didn't want to. The balloon's gonna take my job :(". I dunno, I just think it's funny. He's so silly.
Also the ending of James dreaming about flying like the red balloon is very cute.
9. S5 Ep13: "Stepney Gets Lost"
Tumblr media
I gotta admit, I do have an interest in Thomas's darker episodes. I know that kids' shows aren't happy/pure/hunky-dory all the time, but it still surprises me when they aren't. Purely because even though I know that, I still don't expect it. And so it's always a pleasant surprise when kids' shows like Thomas and Friends are willing to venture into darker territory. Like, they LITERALLY showed an attempted murder on-screen. I gotta give them props for that.
8. S1 Ep9: "Troublesome Trucks" / "Foolish Freight Cars"
I adore James's whole character arc from the first season, but out of all the episodes from that arc, this one definitely takes the cake for being the best one. I feel like we really get to see all the facets of James' character at their best. Allow me to elaborate.
Tumblr media
First of all, for as much flack as James gets for being "the vain one", he takes his mistakes harder than everybody. Look at him here! He's literally crying in the shed! Dude has seen the error of his ways and regrets it so hard. And that's honestly one of the things I love about James's character and that I'm glad stays consistent throughout the show. Yes he has his moments of being a jackass and a showboat. But the moment he sees that he's done something wrong, he will atone for it! He's not afraid to take accountability, and that's something very admirable.
Tumblr media
Speaking of atoning for one's actions, I feel like being The Determinator (TvTropes lingo, means a character who never gives up in the face of hardship) is a character trait we more commonly associate with Edward or Thomas. But James sure is one too! No matter how many times the trucks make him stop, James keeps going! I love how encouraging his driver and fireman are being towards him during these moments too. Good to know he has that good support system.
Tumblr media
Then we get to the part where James is puffing up Gordon's hill! And he's all like "omg this is so hard. how tall is this hill" and then suddenly it gets easier and he's like "Yippee! Yippee!", not knowing he's left his tail of trucks behind. Any time the engines go about their work smiling and happy unknowing that something bad just did or is about to happen is insanely funny to me.
Tumblr media
Now we get to my favorite part of the episode, where James has to go back down for the rest of the trucks. Please excuse my 2x5 shipper brain coming out for this, but I love how Edward has always been a supportive figure throughout James's character arc. He offers to help James with his work. But then James just gives a polite "No thank you". And then Edward continues to support and encourage him to keep going. I love that! I love them!
Tumblr media
I don't think it's a coincidence that it was Edward who brought Sir Topham Hatt to see James's triumph. Edward has been with James since his first day working after the accident. And so of course it would be Edward to bring Sir Topham Hatt to see James at his best. Like, this is such a satisfying episode and it's nice to see James win (because let's be real, the majority of his focus episodes going forward is just James taking Ls).
7. S7 Ep7: "James and the Queen of Sodor"
Tumblr media
Look I'm gonna be honest, this one's just a really fun watch in my opinion. I love to see James try so hard to be important. Gordon really tried to trick him but James was like, "Nah, fuck you guys! I'm gonna stay ✨shiny and clean✨!" And he did! Up until the very end when Percy sneezed on him. But you know what, a win is a win (and that comes rarely for James as the series goes on).
Also I love this face Gordon makes when he asks if collecting the Queen of Sodor is important. Dude knows what he's doing and he's trying SO HARD not to be smug about it it's hilarious. XD
Tumblr media
6. S1 Ep15: "Tenders and Turntables"
Tumblr media
What can I say? I enjoy watching the Big Engines struggle. It's really funny XD I love how James makes fun of Gordon for getting stuck on the turntable only to immediately get spun round and round. The Island of Sodor really does have laser-guided karma, huh? XD
Also as a continuity thing, I like that we get to see how Thomas getting his branchline effects the other engines around him. It makes the events of each episode feel like they have a greater impact, something that I believe gets lost in later seasons.
5. S5 Ep10: "Toby and the Flood"
Tumblr media
I don't think I ever mentioned it, but Toby is one of my top five favorite characters in the entire series. Right up there with James, Edward, and Thomas! Any time Toby gets a highlight episode, I know it's gonna be the highlight of the season. But this one, BY FAR, takes the cake as the BEST classic Toby episode.
For me, "Toby and the Flood" was the first episode that really made me think "Oh my god! The trains are in PERIL!" Like, this is a legit scary situation they put Toby in this time around. Not that past incidents like The Flying Kipper crash or James' multiple derailments weren't scary from the engine's perspectives. But train crashes kinda feel par for the course in the silly talking train show. Something about a natural disaster just hits different.
Like when Toby was floating in the water about to go over the waterfall, I was legitimately worried for him. Going into this blind, I had no clue how Toby was gonna get out of this. Logically, I knew they couldn't just kill Toby off. But at the same time, when Harold dropped the rope, I thought they were just gonna pull the driver up and leave Toby there. I was not sure how they were gonna save him but I'm so glad they did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Toby-Harold-Percy dynamic is ✨P E A K✨ here by the way. I loved seeing them work together and it's a shame we don't get to see more of it.
Aside from the story itself, the score is amazing as well. Really does a great job of setting the tone for this story.
Oh, and one more thing.
THE SETS ARE GORGEOUS!
Seriously, I think this is one of the best examples of just how GOOD the model series can look. The sets look so realistic. And when the dam broke and the water came spilling out? That was spectacular! I'd give this episode a 10/10 just for the visuals alone.
Tumblr media
4. S3 Ep18: "All At Sea"
Tumblr media
"All At Sea", in my opinion, is by far the most thought provoking episode in the entire classic series. After watching it for the first time, I was still thinking about it and contemplating its meaning for weeks afterwards. Even to this day, I still find myself going back to think about it from time to time.
For a while I remember I was going back and forth about whether I actually liked this episode or not. The lesson at the end is "sometimes, the best travels are the ones you can only dream about", and I wasn't sure what that meant. Growing up American, we were always taught to go out and chase our dreams, no matter the risk or the cost. But in Duck's case, not only is he not encouraged to go travel and see what's beyond the horizon. He is, in fact, actively discouraged from doing so. From a logical standpoint, it makes sense. What reason would an engine have to go sailing or travel the world. But it still got me thinking. Was it really so wrong for Duck to dream about greater things?
But after talking about it with my sibling (bless their heart for dealing with my incessant prattling on a daily basis), we came to the conclusion that it's not that it was wrong for Duck to have dreams. But instead, "All at Sea" is a story about why it's important to be content with where you are right now. Every one of us is going to have dreams. But the unfortunate reality is that not everyone is going to be able to achieve those dreams. Many of us, in fact, will not even have the opportunity to chase our dreams. And in such cases, perhaps it's best to simply be content with where we are right now. Understand that we still have a purpose in life at the place we are currently.
Dreaming is all fine and good. But understand that where you are right now is just as important and just as worthwhile.
Tumblr media
3. S2 Ep13: "Dirty Work" / "Diesel's Devious Deed"
Tumblr media
I love Duck's whole arc against Diesel. I think it's great. But if I'm being honest, the reason why the middle episode is my favorite out of the three-parter is because the Big Engines are absolutely ✨ICONIC✨ in this!
Tumblr media
We get our very first utterance of "DISGRACEFUL! DISGUSTING! DESPICABLE!" in this episode. Not to mention this iconic roast:
"Duck called me a Galloping Sausage!" "Rusty Red Scrap Iron!" "I'm Old Square Wheels!" "Well Duck?" "I only wish sir, that I had thought of those names myself. If the dome fits!"
I just LOVE the drama of watching the engines be absolute Mean Girls to each other. You can't tell me that in an AU where Thomas and Friends is a high school show catered to young girls, that Gordon, James, and Henry wouldn't be the equivalent of The Plastics. I nicknamed them "The Railway Heathers" for a reason. XD
2. S1 Ep2: "Edward and Gordon" / "Edward Helps Out"
Tumblr media
This was the episode that made me instantly like Edward. He wasn't someone that I really remembered liking or disliking as kid. But after re-watching this episode, he immediately skyrocketed to being my second favorite character.
The story does a great job of establishing exactly who Edward is with only about four minutes and thirty seconds. He's smaller than the others (though surprisingly, I noticed they don't actually mention that he's old until season 2), and is very kind. But he often doesn't get appreciated for all the hard work he does. It makes you really feel for the guy.
Thankfully, Edward gets many more wins later in the series, so it's all good!
1. S2 Ep5: "Old Iron"
Tumblr media
Is it really a surprise to literally anyone that this is my favorite classic series episode? Of course not! It's literally the EPITOME Jameward episode.
My shipping preferences aside, I would also like to say that "Old Iron" is a fantastic James episode AND a fantastic Edward episode as well. Both characters are at their best here, and let me tell you why.
Starting with James first (because, say it with me now, favoritism rules in this house!). We all love James being a dumbass. And while he didn't directly cause his own karma this time around, we still get to see him be a little dumb of ass. Like, when he becomes a runaway at first he doesn't even realize there's anything wrong.
Tumblr media
He just puffs along, laughing to himself going "What a lark! What a lark!"
Then of course, we gotta have the "Regretti Spaghetti" moment, in which he realizes "Oh shit! I don't have a driver! I can't stop!"
This is James's second time being a runaway. The first time, he was pushed by cars and derailed into a field. Those memories are probably still fresh at this point, except I'd argue this time is even worse because he's completely alone. No driver or fireman to check him over like last time. James is all by himself.
But who comes to save him? It's Edward!
Tumblr media
Edward doesn't even hesitates. He's puffing and chuffing as fast as his wheels can carry him because he HAS to save James. He has to!
The chase scene is very intense. Even if you know how it ends, there's still this feeling of tension there that I'd say is palpable.
At last, Edward catches up to James! He's got him! And they're puffing along together.
Tumblr media
"So, the Old Iron caught you after all."
Edward isn't even mad about James's insult to him. He just takes it in stride.
Still, we all know that James, for all of his faults, knows when to take accountability. When he knows he's in the wrong, he apologizes for it and makes up for it, no hesitation.
"I'm sorry. Thank you for saving me. You were splendid Edward."
Splendid is a word James usually reserves only for himself. The fact that he's giving it to Edward really means something special.
I love "Old Iron" because it shows James and Edward, my two favorite characters, at their absolute best. All their greatest characteristics are put on display right here. I would say, not only is "Old Iron" my favorite episode in the Classic Era, but it's also one of my favorite episodes of the entire series period. There's only one episode I like in the entire show more than "Old Iron", but we can talk about that another day (though feel free to place your guesses in the Ask Box).
That just about wraps up the countdown! Thank you Anon for this ask! It was so fun getting to go through my favorite episodes and talk about what makes them so great! I hope y'all enjoyed getting to hear my commentary. ❤ Until next time...

Hey, um... Okay, so I recently remembered a line from ttte episode
I don't remember the full episode but I do remember this one line
Do it right. It was told by one engine to a pair of twin And in their logic whenever they're supposed to do something right. They're going to do something wrong 😕 But I have no idea on the episode's name. I do remember that line
Sorry I took so long to get to your ask! But I believe the episode that you're thinking of is "Bill, Ben, and Fergus"!
"Do it right" is Fergus's catchphrase, who is this little fellow!
Tumblr media
"Bill, Ben, and Fergus" is his debut episode, which is in Season 7. The episode's plot is about Fergus dealing with Bill and Ben's mischief. I remember this was an episode that I liked enough. I do generally like any episode that features this saddle tank twins in the spotlight. But I did find Fergus to be a bit annoying (though perhaps that's partially just because of Michael Brandon's line delivery).
Anyway, thank you for the ask! I hope this helps!

TTTE First Impressions: S6 Eps 2 and 4
Hello Train Fans of the Internet!
Now that I have this blog, I want to try and make it a habit of recording my thoughts about each episode I watch. From what I've observed, I feel like a lot of the TTTE fandom is composed of people who grew up with the show and/or continued to keep up with it until the end. And while I did watch the model series growing up, I actually don't remember anything that happened. 😅 Re-watching it now feels like watching it for the first time. And so I hope that sharing my thoughts here would provide a new perspective (or at least some entertainment).
First Episode for Discussion: Season 6 Episode 2 "Harvey to the Rescue"
This episode introduces Harvey the Crane Engine! And can I just say, I really like how Harvey's prop looks! Like, I look at him and I just want to pick him up like
Tumblr media
I also like how they gave him more of a round, chubby face. I think it makes him look cute and distinguishes him from the others (outside of the fact that he has a crane on his boiler, but you know)
I really liked the scene where Harvey rescues Percy in the end. That was also really neat. It was cool to watch the crane move and the chains go down and the gears turning. Like, I just think it's really cool! Practical effects rule!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The one thing I found really odd about this episode is that Edward is... weirdly out of character? They have Edward among the other engines who are judging Harvey for looking weird. And I get that they're going for the whole aesop of "being different makes you special". But like, since when was Edward judgmental? He's one of the nicest engines on this railway! And yet here he's making the comment of "he doesn't even look like an engine". And like, THIS COMING FROM THE GUY WHO RESCUED TREVOR THE TRACTION ENGINE?! WHO DON'T EVEN USE RAILS?
Like I get it that it's a kids' show and you gotta get your aesop in there. But I think you can do it without making characters out-of-character. I think there are ways you could potentially have Edward be suspicious of Harvey without being outright judgy. But that's just my take.
Anyway, we also get another entry for the Jameward Relationship Timeline!
Tumblr media
Look at them with their berths in the shed next to each other! They're so married ❤💙
Next Episode for Discussion: Season 6 Episode 4 "A Bad Day for Harold"
You might be asking me, "Why did you skip episode 3?" I didn't. Amazon's just weird about how they published the episodes. So "No Sleep for Cranky" was published as episode 1 when really it's episode 3, and I watched it thinking it was episode 1 and "Salty's Secret" was episode 2 until I looked up the TvTropes recap.
Anyway, I liked this episode. I love Percy and Harold's dynamic and it's always a treat seeing them together. I know Percy and Thomas are the ones remembered as the Iconic Besties(tm). But in my opinion, I actually think Percy, Toby, and Harold have the most fun and interesting dynamic with each other. Particularly with Percy and Harold, I love how they're the kind of friends who will continuously butt heads and tease each other, but you know that when it comes down to it they'll have each other's backs. And that shows here in this episode too.
I like how Harold asked them to load all the mail in his net so he's "not slow like Percy". It's a neat little callback to that one time Harold roasted him and was like "you're so slow, you should give everyone their stamps back" (which, by the way, is one of my favorite roasts in the whole show so far XD).
Also I think this is Harold's first crash? I watched Seasons 1 - 5 kind of fast so if I missed one previously, feel free to correct me.
Tumblr media
I like the little detail of Harold hovering in close to Percy to thank him. That was a nice touch.
Tumblr media
One last thought, as much as I've been enjoying Alec Baldwin's narration so far, I do REALLY miss the buttery voice George Carlin gave to Harold. Carlin's Harold voice is so needlessly zesty and it adds so much extra flavor to his character. Kinda wish Baldwin kept going in the same direction, but I respect him doing his own thing (at least he gave us Fruity James 💅)
That's all for now! 'Til next time,
CHOO CHOO B*TCHES!

Have you started the cgi era now? If so then least favorite episode so far?
Yes I have! I have just updated my watch progress in my Blog Intro, so y'all can see where I am in terms of catching up on the show. XD It does look a little bit strange though, so allow me a moment to explain.
I like to watch reviews on YouTube for shows that I watch or am interested in, so I already heard going in that the HIT era and Sharon Miller era episodes were... not good. Also I watch the show via Prime Video, and they don't host the HIT era episodes anyway. So I decided to skip ahead of those seasons (save for a few select episodes I'm specifically interested in) and just jump straight into Brenner era CGI, since I heard that's the period where the series gets good again. On Prime Video they have Brenner era starting off at Season 18, so that's where my jumping off point ended up being.
Anyway, I would say my least favorite CGI episode so far is "Emily Saves The World". It just felt kinda... dumb? Like, why is this globe just rolling around the entire island? How is it not damaged after all that it's been through?
I'm not a picky person when it comes to the shows I watch, there's very few things I dislike and there's a lot that I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for. But even for me, I just felt like that episode didn't make sense.
On the plus side, I did enjoy watching Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel gossip behind Emily's back, thinking she made up the whole thing about the globe. I love how the CGI era actually gave the coaches personalities. Specifically with Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel, I think their dynamic is very sweet and fun to watch, and it's nice seeing them be so close despite how different their personalities are.
After I finish answering all the asks sitting in my Inbox, I definitely want to write something about how I feel about Model era vs CGI era, because I have A LOT to talk about. There's a lot that I like about both, and they have such different feelings to them that I would love to unpack.
Thank you for the ask dear anon!

Thomas and Friends S24 Ep7 - Nia and the Unfriendly Elephant
I just spent this episode think about the other elephant incidents that have happened in this franchise (which is a surprising amount for a UK based railway). But hey, at least the reference at the start was nice.

Thomas and Friends S24 Ep3 - The Great Little Railway Show
How many cameos do you want? They even got the Railway controllers involved. Tbh, I would love an episode that stared just the controllers. I like how Percy didn’t get the blame at the end because it would have been the obvious choice. Thankfully Topham realised it was his fault.
Also, there were voice changes for some of the cameos. The one that sticks out to me is Rusty’s, what the fuck did they do to them?!

Thomas and Friends S24 Ep10 - Ace’s Brave Jump
So, this is the final episode from this batch. Now since I’m going off when episode get aired or released on DVD in my area, the next release is meant to be Marvelous Machinery, plus related episodes, on the 28th via DVD.
The idea the Ace is afraid of animals (mainly wild animals in this case) is such a contradicting idea from the concept of my Fantasy!AU. Ah, well he must have been brought up in a mainly human-only area.
Apart from that cunt there isn’t much to this episode.

Thomas and Friends S24 Ep1: Emily’s Best Friend
Not the best one to start out with bth. It wasn’t bad but I felt myself cringing out of how cliche the plot was. At least the dream sequence was good and we got a pinch of Topham as a father figure to the engines as well.
