Tumblr media Tumblr media
Name: Rouka 楼花
{Play on Okura/Okra}
Gender: Female
Birth year: 739
Species: Saiya-Jin and Tsufuru-Jin hybrid
{75% SaiyaJin & 25% TsufuruJin}
Father: Renkon
Mother: Satsuma
Home world: Dojin
Alliance: Chaotic Neutral
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Status: Single {And staying as such}
Height: 165.1 cm {5'5"}
Weight: 54.31 kg {120 lbs}
Hair: Onyx, short & spiked
Eyes: a light azure
Distinguishing Features: Aside from the tail that most SaiyaJin descendants are born with, and her crystal blues, she has a rather defined scar across her right eye.
Tumblr media
Temperament: Rouka is an odd mix. Though she holds the typical traits one would expect of a SaiyaJin; proud, arrogant, moderately aggressive, short-tempered, strong willed and the love of a good fight; she also has the blood of a more docile and intellectual race coursing through her veins.
The TsufuruJin were a peaceful race, more rationally inclined than battle ready. Due to this contradictory disposition, Rouka herself is more calculated where her emotions are concerned. Though her darker impulses are bound to dominate her mind, she will tend to look into things more logically before simply reacting. Well, at least for the most part .. Occasionally, the more dominant attributes will prevail, depending on the situation at hand.
All in all, she is a rather feisty, yet sometimes devilishly spirited, persona. An amusing banter is always enjoyable, though she will typically assess her moves wisely.
Flaws/Disadvantages:
°There are certain advantages to being the hybrid she is, but the conflicting aspects of herself can occasionally clash. Rouka willingly embraces certain aspects of her SaiyaJin nature, especially since it's the predominant blood coursing through her veins. But, her more passive psyche does cause hesitation from time to time, especially regarding situations when she should be more ruthless.
°Though she is primarily logical and vigilant in most situations, she can have a fairly short fuse. Gruf, volitile, spiteful, hostile and abrasive; these are all characteristics of herself that she does her best to control. Of course, there are situations in which those traits of herself overcome her resolve.
°Rouka wears the tail SaiyaJin descendants are born with proudly, but it can be a hindrance at times. Not only due to the particular extremities sensitivity, but also the rare occasion in which a slip of emotional control is revealed by even the most miniscule of reactions of her tail. Though a small flicker or such may go unnoticed by most, a more competent observer could use the small inconsistencies to read through a facade.
Signature Techniques:
Tumblr media
Spiritual Armor
精神的な鎧
Seishin-tekina Yoroi
Quite like the techniques name, its entire purpose is to use a concentrated amount of ki to encase her form within a protective barrier, shielding herself from the threat.
Dynamic Burst
ダイナミックバースト
Dainamikkubāsuto
This miniscule orb of energy is more devastating than it seems at first glance. Upon condensing a great deal of energy into the tiny sphere, she will release it carefully towards the foe. Upon piercing, its design is to erruupt the full of its power within the physique. This is typically used for the intent of administering a massive amount of damage to any given area.
Power Siphon
パワーサイフォン
Pawāsaifon
A rather unique assault, this technique starts with what appears to be a rather simple orb of energy propelled towards her foe of choice. Though, instead of dealing damage in the typical manner, it latches itself onto the target of choice, disrupting and manipulating ones aura to ultimately leech and absorb. In doing so, as their life force begins to weaken, the original orb will effectively increase and grow in power until consuming its victim within the amplifled inferno of the combined ki.
Vortex Blitz
ボルテックスブリッツ
Borutekkusuburittsu
This ability begins with Rouka gathering a sufficient amount of ki above her, shifting its force cylendrically until it forms a rather intense maelstrom of energy. When she finds it to be a sufficient amount of force and power, she will launch it forth towards the object of choice, expectantly entangling them amidst the whirlwind of power. Intended to be both disorienting and agonizing while the swirling energy encompasses their being.
Plasma Storm
プラズマ嵐
Purazuma Arashi
Amassing her ki into a nebule of powerful energy, Rouka awaits this emanation to reach the proper intensity. This nimbus like collection of ki will begin to gradually dissipate into smaller waves of power, raining down in the vicinity of the desired recipient.
Dynamic Wave
ダイナミックな波
Dainamikkuna Nami
This collection of force is a stream of ki expelled towards a target (Much like that of say the Kamehameha or Galick Gun). The intensity of which is greatly decided on the amount of power she feels like pushing into it
Serpents Coil
蛇とぐろ
Hebi Toguro
This technique is one she can have some fun with if she so pleased. Simply put, tendrils of ki eminate from her palm towards the object of her choosing, encircling an area with precision and focus. Now the vigor behind the coils depends on her and the connection she retains to them.
Each serpent like cord of power is connected to an aura affixed to her for command. Whether she decides to retain control with a mere finger or two, her hand, or even tethered down the length of her arm; it all determines the strength of the bond, not to mention how much energy she sends pulsing through them.
In essence; the connection could feel as tender and docile as a piece of string, or as formidable as the strongest binding with a river of powerful current coursing through them.
Backstory:
Tumblr media
Before the start of the SaiyaJin and TsufuruJin civil war of 720 on Planet Plant (Known to most as Planet Vegeta by year 730), The TsufuruJin and SaiyaJin cohabitated their shared world civilly. Each species tended to stay within their own domains, almost dismissing the others presence all together if they could. But by chance, as can happen often with any civilization that live in fairly close proximity to one another, there were a small populace of the two very different beings that found the race more favorable than most. Comaraderies were formed, each group assisting the others in the areas they waned. Occasionally, even, a more passionate companionship arose, though fairly uncommon in the beginning.
By year 718, rumors had begun to arrise of a particular SaiyaJin rising amongst the ranks of the tribes. A primal and domineering man that was gaining favor amongst the tribes, all while professing his animosity towards the TsufuruJins and their claimed condescending and disdain towards the people that came to their planet all those years ago. Talk had started concerning an eventual battle, a chance for the SaiyaJin to overthrow those who who they were convinced found them inferior. Of course, some weary of annihilation and others determined to preserve their way of life, a plan to abscond their home for a place of their own to thrive was made.
The following year they were all gone, fairly unbeknownst to the planet they left behind. The peculiar group of allies settling on a world far from Plant and the destruction that would come. The new world was harsh and unforgiving at first. Each party offering their prowess to better the terrene. It wasn't long before they were able to thrive and grow as a new civilization on the world they would name Dojin.
Rouka was born on this world, her father a man of pure SaiyaJin descent and her mother a halfbreed between both lineage. It was a tranquil existence; her father training her in the ways of old, and her mother focusing her instructions on the enlightened ways of the TsufuruJins. She excelled in her training, eventually becoming one of the more revered combatants of the new generation. Little did she know everything she knew and adored would soon come to a close.
By the year 750, at the mere age of 11, Lord Kura's (Cooler's) forces stumbled upon Planet Dojin by chance. Intrigued by the mixture of intellect, brute strength and battle savy. Those deemed worthy in his mind were subjugated into his forces; primarily the more adept of the younger generation, precieving them to be the easiest to mold. Rouka was one of the few to be amassed, torn away from her kin amid annihilation and chaos. Like so many others, her parents rallied against the alien forces in vein. The young girls last memories of her parents while she struggled to abscond herself from the warriors clutches, their gruesome slaughter as they fought to protect her.
For years she begrudgingly did what she must to survive.. Endless training, conflicts, crusades; whatever skirmish Kura commanded her to conduct. If ever her emotions caused her to falter or rebel, she would be tortured into allegiant compliance. Until, that is, the year 765 when she heard of his supposed demise.
Finally able to escape her constraints, she ventured forth in search of a new chapter of her life. Her one irrefutable resolution; she must check out this Planet Earth, and the warriors who subdued her tyrannical captor

Tuffle Lore: DBZ #20
I’ve been meaning to revisit the topic of Tuffle lore, and so I decided I should re-watch the episode where they were first introduced.  And I’ve got nothing going on at the moment, so let’s do it now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this is Episode 20 of Dragon Ball Z.  It’s a filler episode, so I don’t know if any of this footage made it into Kai, but if you’re not familiar with this one, I’ll give you a quick recap.  Goku is training in the afterlife to prepare for the Saiyan invasion.  He’s just passed King Kai’s challenge to catch Bubbles, so now King Kai gives him a harder test, which is to hit Gregory on the head with a mallet. Meanwhile, Piccolo trains Gohan, whose right eye is swollen shut for the whole episode.  Also, Master Roshi asks Baba to predict the outcome of the coming battle, and Baba can’t see anything in her crystal ball.  The fate of the Earth is too uncertain to predict.  Also, the rest of the Z-Fighters complete their training on Kami’s Lookout, and Yajirobe bites Krillin on the ass.
Tumblr media
However, the real meat-and-potatoes of this episode is when Goku takes a break for dinner, and King Kai offers to tell him more about the Saiyans.  At this point in the story, Goku only recently learned that he was a Saiyan sent to Earth as a baby, and all he knows about his people is what little he heard from his evil brother, Raditz.  Much of King Kai’s tale would be contradicted over time, but this episode still stands out as a tantalizing peek into the history of the Saiyans before they were under Frieza’s rule.  And this is one of the few sources for information on the Tuffles, the Saiyans’ mysterious enemies.
What I decided to do here was to just screenshot this part of the episode and transcribe all the subtitles.  The dub version of King Kai’s story is pretty good too, but some of the details are changed, and since this is a filler episode, the Japanese script is about as close to a primary source as possible.
Incidentally, “Tuffle” is a localized name for the “Tsufuru-jin”, just as “Saiyan” is a localization of “Saiya-jin”.  The Funimation subtitles refers to the Tuffles as “Tsufruians.”
Tumblr media
“Once upon a time... There were two races of people who lived on a world named Planet Vegeta.  The Saiyans, who are your forebears, and the Tsufruians.”
Tumblr media
“Planet Vegeta, like my own planet here, had an extremely strong gravity.   As a result, the Tsufruians, who controlled the larger half of Planet Vegeta, were a race whose bodies were only about half the size of the Saiyans.  However, they had a remarkable, comparatively advanced level of civilization.”
Tumblr media
“On the other hand, the Saiyans were a race that was very few in numbers, but their bodies were bigger, not to mention stronger, and they were an aggressive, primitive race.  The tails the Saiyans had were their greatest distinguishing characteristic.  They were all warrior-like people, as it were.”
Tumblr media
“At one point, these warriors bared their fangs, and started to overrun the Tsufruians.  The Tsufruians greeted them with advanced weaponry of their own making.  The Saiyans, who should have been utterly outnumbered, were incredibly strong, and gradually, they brought the Tsufruians under their control.”
Tumblr media
“The decisive factor was the full moon, which appeared on Planet Vegeta once every eight years.  That's because when Saiyans see the full moon, they transform into monsters.  For the Tsufruians, this was their greatest threat, and they suffered the most damage this way.   And so, little by little, as the Tsufruians civilization pulled back, the Saiyans quickly increased their numbers.  In time, they completely took over Planet Vegeta.”
Tumblr media
“Then the Saiyans took off into space, seeking to fight even more.   However, since the Tsufruians had been exterminated, further development of their civilization was slow to occur.  They realized that even though they wanted to fight, they could not go out any farther into space.  So the Saiyans joined forces with rich, advanced alien civilizations, and in exchange for furnishing planets to these aliens for use in developing vacation estates, they were able to obtain technology and money.  For the battle-hungry Saiyans, this was killing two birds with one stone.”
Tumblr media
“The Saiyans' activities escalated swiftly, and they even started sending babies to many other worlds, as was your case.  They had come up with long-term plans, whereby once the baby grew up, it would exterminate the planet's population.”
Tumblr media
“But Planet Vegeta had its own Kami.  He could not bear the Saiyans' evil deeds, and using his own powers, he pulled close some giant meteors, which then collided with Planet Vegeta, causing it to explode.”
Tumblr media
“Including yourself, there were only four Saiyans that survived.”
And, there we have it. Tell you what, I’ll just make a list of the details that later turned out to be continuity gaffes.
1) It would later be established that the planet was named “Plant” before the Saiyans conquered it and renamed it “Vegeta”.
2) This episode seems to be the only instance of the Tuffles being half the size of the Saiyans.  In other appearances, the Tuffles are shown to be normal-sized humanoids.
3) 1993′s Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans introduced the idea of the Saiyans arriving on the Tuffles’ planet and being accepted as refugees.  However, a flashback in Dragon Ball GT suggests that the Saiyans invaded the planet from the start. In Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta states that the Saiyans had lived on another planet called Sadala before emigrating to Planet Vegeta.  Any way you slice it, it looks like the Saiyans were not native to Planet Vegeta, as DBZ #20 suggests.
4) Furthermore, 2011′s Episode of Bardock introduces the Plantians, who inhabited Planet Plant/Vegeta in the distant past.  No Tuffles are seen in that special, suggesting that the Tuffles were not native to the planet either.
5) DBZ #20 shows Tuffle soldiers using scouters, the implication being that they were a Tuffle invention that the Saiyans later adopted for their own use.  In 2018′s Dragon Ball Super: Broly, it’s Frieza who issues the scouters to the Saiyans for the first time, well after the Tuffles have already been wiped out.
6) King Kai probably shouldn’t have told Goku about the Saiyans transforming during a full moon, since that sort of borks up the big reveal in Episode 31 and 32, when Vegeta transforms and Goku realizes that he must have been the one who killed Grandpa Gohan.  Then again, it took Goku a while to figure it out, even when Vegeta was transforming right in front of him, so maybe he wasn’t paying attention to this part of King Kai’s story.  Let’s face it, Goku isn’t the sharpest knife in the crayon box.
7) The biggest plot hole is the part where King Kai authoritatively states that it was the Kami of Planet Vegeta who summoned the world-ending meteor shower that Raditz spoke of.  In truth, it was Frieza who destroyed Planet Vegeta and spread the meteor shower story to cover up the truth.  While we can forgive King Kai for not being aware of what really happened, it’s weird how he offers context to a version of events that never took place.  Then again, Planet Vegeta would have had its own Kami, who must have been displeased with the Saiyans, so maybe that Kami planned to destroy the planet, and King Kai was aware of these plans, but he never knew that Frieza beat the Kami to the punch.   For that matter, maybe Frieza stopped Vegeta’s Kami from summoning the meteor shower, because he wanted to wait until the whole population was on the planet before pulling the trigger.
8) Uh sure, King Kai, only four surviving Saiyans.
All that being said, a lot of elements in this story still hold up today, probably  because of Toriyama’s input on this episode, including the Tuffle concept.  For example:
1) The Saiyan population is quite low in King Kai’s story, which would be echoed in Dragon Ball Minus, which states that there are roughly 10,000 Saiyans around the time Planet Vegeta was destroyed.
2) While the Kami of Planet Vegeta has been retconned to hell, the basic concept of a god condemning the Saiyans to extinction resembles the way Beerus authorized Planet Vegeta’s destruction, as revealed in Battle of Gods.
3) The Saiyans’ primitive buildings in this episode look a lot like the lumpy, misshapen houses seen in Dragon Ball Minus and DBS: Broly.  And yet the larger, more advanced buildings, like King Vegeta’s palace and the elite nursery, are comparable to the Tuffle cities. So the idea of Planet Vegeta being this world of contrasts has carried on across 30+ years.
Anyway, that’s all I have.......... for now.
Oh, right, can’t talk about this episode without mentioning Knife Lady. 💗🗡️

This greenie is called Ghiico, he's a tuffle scientist that worked to make weapons against saiyans
Now he also works in the time patrol to help repairing the scouters, armors and spaceships; he has to work with the saiyaness Karab and Fenla quite often, and he LOATHS it since Fenla is an arrogant jerk, and Karab Tries to kill him (btw he's the responsible guy in the trio)
- smart guy -good aim - kind of mum friend

Are you some kind of parasitic robot?
" If you had to call me someone besides Tuffle, it would be a parasite. My base body is a machine, but I'm equal parts organic. I think humans call this a cyborg.Or a shapeshifting form of jinzo-tsufuru."

I really love the theory of Vegeta being half-tsufurujin (her mother being a tsufuru or one of his grandparents) So, i wanted to draw him with tsufurujin’s clothes.

You cannot take it back, make it undone. Character information: Saiyans
basically my headcanons for the story, I don’t claim those are accurate in the original.
Raditz: race: Saiyan birth place: Planet Plant, later known as Planet Vegeta date of birth, age (in Earth years): exact date unknown - by the end of Tsufuru War, before the Great Moon (he is between 2-3 years older than Vegeta, around 30 when the story starts social status: Low Class Warrior of common house, technically the leader of the house by the time story starts (by the virtue of being oldest and strongest of the house, who is still alive), mid-rank by the standards of PTO occupation: Warrior affiliation: Saiyan Army (later known as Saiyan Force or Vegeta Force), PTO known family: Bardock, Gine, Kakarot, Gohan gender: undefined /none* pronouns: he, they** sex (reproductive function): male/beta*** (of binary species) sexual orientation: undefined # (note: enjoys sexual activities, sexually active) romantic orientation: none/ undefined ## favorite food: fresh fruits, of sweet kind.
Gohan: born as Son Gohan race: Saiyan-Human hybrid, initially raised human, later Saiyan birthplace: Earth date of birth, age: about four years before the start of the story, he is 4 when the story starts social status: child of respectable family on earth (low-rank by the standards of PTO affiliation: Saiyan Force (Vegeta Force) known family: Son Goku ChiChi, Ox King, Bardock, Gine, Raditz, Son Gohan gender: male pronouns: he sex (reproductive function): male/beta*** (of binary species) sexual orientation: undefined (note: definitely too young for sexual experience) romantic orientation: undefined (note: lack of opportunity to experience romance, probably too young for it any way) favorite food: tuna made by his mom.
Vegeta: race: Saiyan birthplace: Planet Vegeta, formerly Planet Plant date of birth, age: around 28 years when the story starts social status: Prince of All Saiyans, leader of remaining Saiyans,  high elite by standards of PTO affiliation: Saiyan Force (Vegeta Force), Frieza Force, PTO occupation: Warrior, commanding officer, prince known family: King Vegeta, his grandmother Vega (who started unification of the All Saiyans) gender: undefined/none* pronouns: he, they** sex (reproductive function): male/beta*** (of binary species) sexual orientation: undefined# (note: he does experience attraction, he is often, but not all the time sex repulsed, he is not completely inactive but goes though long periods of celibacy) romantic orientation: undefined ## favorite food: squid or octopus based dishes
Nappa: race: Saiyan birthplace: Planet Plant, later known as Planet Vegeta date of birth, age: his around 65 when the story starts social status: Saiyan General, Prince Vegeta's aide, Elite Saiyan Warrior from elite house, Head Leader of the house before its extinction , elite rank by PTO standards affiliation: Saiyan Army (later known as Saiyan Force or Vegeta Force), PTO occupation: Warrior known family: his mother gender: undefined /none* pronouns: he, they** sex (reproductive function): male/beta*** (of binary species) sexual orientation: undefined # (note: enjoys sexual activities, sexually active) romantic orientation: none/ undefined ## favorite food: traditional Saiyan sweet stew with meat of huge reptiles and vegetables, served with booze.
Son Goku: born as Kakarot race: Saiyan, Human by adoption birth place: Planet Vegeta, formerly Planet Plant date of birth, age: about two and half years before the destruction of planet Vegeta (he is about 3 years younger than Vegeta and at least 5 years younger than Raditz, he is around 24-25 when the story starts social status: born in common house, rocket child, renown martial artist on Earth, mid-income on Earth occupation: martial artist, warrior, adventurer, vegetable farmer affiliation: Kame School of Martial Arts, his family known family: Son Gohan (adopted Grandfather), ChiChi, Ox King, Gohan (son); unknown to him: Bardock, Gine, Raditz gender: male pronouns: he sex (reproductive function): male/beta*** (of binary species) sexual orientation: demisexual? romantic orientation: demiromantic?? favorite food: anything his wife cooks, especially with lots of meat.
*Saiyans didn't really develop concept of gender  (per legal regulation in recent years before destruction of their culture the concept began to form, but still without much hold in the society)
**per language conventions (not personal preference)
*** “beta” indicates secondary role in the reproductive process, for both humans and Saiyans “alpha” translates female, while “beta” to male. This nomenclature exists in PTO and other interstellar organisations, because many species have more that two type necessary for reproduction. Note that there are also species who have shifting sex (it can go randomly, according to some pattern or a will) or emerging sex (depending on the circumstances or at will)
#Saiyan culture did not have the concept of sexual orientation, sexual identity or sexual attraction
##No concept of romance, romantic attraction or romantic relationships either.
?/??he was raised in human culture so human terms apply to him. It is unknown if he knows appropriate terms to describe his experience and he hypothetically could understand himself in those terms.

Tagging confusion
So, I find myself in a sort of weird spot. See, I was getting ready to write a dbz AU fic where the Saiyans never worked for Frieza and thus were never blown up when I tripped myself up. I was refreshing myself on a few facts here and there, mainly about the Tuffles when I came across the official timeline from the Daizenshu:
Approximately 238 B.C. The Legendary Super Saiya-jin appears and wreaks havoc across the Universe.
Approximately 550 A.D. The first Saiya-jin land on the planet Plant in a mysterious ship.
720-730 A.D. * The Saiya-jin unite and begin a war against the Tsufuru-jin for control of the planet Plant. * The Tsufuru scientist Dr. Raichi is killed. * The Tsufuru-jin are completely destroyed by the Saiya-jin. The Saiya-jin take control of the planet and re-name it Vegita. They adapt Tsufuru technology. * The Saiya-jin begin space travel and meet aliens from other planets.
731 A.D. * The Saiya-jin begin their partnership with Freeza and start conquering planets for sale. * King Vegita marries his queen.
732 A.D. The birth of Prince Vegita.
Around 735: -Relations between the Saiyans and Freeza break down. -Civil war breaks out among the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta.
737: -Birth of Kakarotto (Songoku). -One of the armies of Vegeta conquer the planets Kanassa and Meat. Freeza suppresses the revolt against him formed by King Vegeta. -Freeza declares war on the Saiyans. -Bardock, the father of Kakarotto, dies in combat. -Freeza annihilates planet Vegeta. -Kakarotto escapes the destruction via a Saiyan capsule that lands on Earth. -Between June and August, Kakarotto is found by Son Gohan who renames him "Son Goku."
738: At the age of one, Goku dangerously wounds himself in the head. His natural Saiyan characteristics are lost and later replaced by a gentle personality.
October-November 760: -Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta conquer planet Shirts.
And I was completely miffed by it. The whole of written, official Saiyan history seemed so smooshed to me, with the Saiyans only having reign over the planet for less than a decade. There was a throwaway line in the 90's Plan to Eradicate The Super Saiyans that the Tuffles treated the Saiyans as 2nd class citizens, and there's an inconsistent time frame for the appearance of the first Super Saiyan happening either 3k years ago or 1k, and I kinda......just ended up jossing my original fic idea to get a notepad and calculator to flub a new timeline together.
Except it didn't end there, because I opened up a notecard taking app and expanded on my rough dates to make a 3k year-long timeline with events and "historical" persons of interest, some canon, some not. It's mostly just headcanons and conjecture on my part, but it leans heavily on the above timeline, just with a lot of the Tuffle stuff stretched out or made to happen sooner so that way the Saiyans have, like, 400 yrs longer to be the sole population on Plant/Vegeta. It serves my fic purpose well enough, so whenever I get back to writing my original AU idea, I have that.
But.
My problem is that, because the way I ended up writing the timeline, it kinda sounds like it's from a Saiyan history codex. I even put in little fake "sources" and contributions from Saiyan and Tuffle historians. It's formatted like a mock-academic text, when in reality it's, like, reverse meta? And I have no idea how I'd go about tagging that. Is there even a relevant tag for it?

I guess I have this one type because McHanzo isn't all that different from KakaVege when you think about it. McCree is a cowboy and Gokuu is a country boy. Hanzo and Vegeta are both quiet but feral dog when mad royalty (well, one is criminal family royalty. I mean I guess they did kill all the Tsufuru too and were part of the PTO but that wasn't really by choice to work for evil galactic realtors). Once they stopped being villains and accepted that even the people they killed/tried to kill before want them in their lives and believe in them, they awkwardly become part of the family. I think that's why I enjoy fics where Hanzo is getting used to functioning as a part of the Overwatch family, it's just that really enjoyable "uncle ex-villain" we get in DBZ and I love it.

I don't watch Dragonball Z, but I nearly choked on the water I was drinking when you said Baby was a Tuffle because I can't that race name seriously. It sounds like something you'd name a mascot for an animated film that initially is endearing and well-liked until sequels, a spin-off movie of their own, and over merchandising reduces the appeal it once had into an annoyance.
Actually, the Tuffles are known as Tsufuru in the original Japanese (a pun off of 'fruit', like how Saiyans tend to be puns off of 'vegetables.')And as silly as their species' names are....their story is extremely sad. The Tuffles were driven extinct because Vegeta's dad was greedy for power and had the Tuffles killed in order to steal their planet and resources. So silly name, but tragic history.

What is something that was never addressed at all in the canon material that you have independently developed for your muse?
More on the Tuffles, more Baby’s inner thoughts and demons, more seeing the world through his eyes.....even a slice of life would have done more than just having his cackle like a hyena every 5 seconds.
I would have loved to see him maybe show that he’s resolved to dying at the end of his Tsufuru-conversion plan, and have the heroes beg him to listen to them that he doesn’t have to end up like that....that he can live to do good.
I’d have personally loved to see Baby long for something he knows he can never have......a family.
