Hi prequel community. If I said that I think the reason why there were only two prequels compared to the three that the other parts of the series got (3 TSY books and 3 TCY books) AND the reasons why Rhian's eye colour changes miraculously from Rise to Fall from green to blue (I think he's described as having green eyes in Rise? someone might have to correlate me on that) is because in Rise he's supposed to parallel TSY Sophie (green eyes, doubtfully good, multiple boyfriends) and then in Fall he's supposed to parallel Japeth (blue eyes, fratricidal, insane, gets cool one liners) how would you react to that
one of the worst parts about being a watcher fan rn is that in theory I think having paywalled series isn't that bad and people are being needlessly eat the rich about it, but on a personal level the two series I don't like and don't watch are ghost files and dish granted, and they're the most expensive shows to produce....... Like I'm seeing a potential solution here
just played some Case Files with LoV part in it and just thought about a giant project like "every LoV filler ever in ANY media"
like games, manga (including those SMASH!! pages) or irl events (like ONE of LoV seyuu playing as LoV without any real footage of it) and most importantly - Ultra Impact events, but sadly I don't have ALL of them of at least I can't share jp server events that I know at least one happened before global started
I'm not that good with knowing what Ultra Rumble has as something special other than emotes, some phrases or outfits and I don't exactly play it
One's Justice 2 (the one Horikoshi named chapter with Hawks and Twice after) on the other hand has literally tons of interactions from just battle things and recruit talks that depend on your trust of something level to Arcade where defeat and a win give you a mini dialogue and LoV has levels with each other
the only problem with the latter is that I either did level them all up too much already and it would be a pain to lose progress or I'm not really interested in doing already hard to make screenshots one by one FOR EVERY SINGLE LOV FIGHT twice.
But since I've never found actual archive of those things aside from occasional video of Plus Ultra attacks or voicelines without any subtitles for jp vers or again Plus Ultra attacks only for the new characters... that's either worthless or it doesn't matter as much
Still! While 1-A class fillers and stories are so easy to find - literally in the novels or 90% of SMASH!! and Team-Up Missions (and I saw one thing that suspiciosly had LoV in there but still looking through it) while anything semi-canon or at least that can be considered such with LoV is either serves it's purpose in the final arc of the manga now or is actually hard to find since wiki doesn't actually keep up with the official games
maybe it's just an excuse to show little things that Ultra Impact keeps as it's canon for events like Tomura being good at poker and it first was in his "holiday story" and then it appeared in the event much later chronologically with MLA already working with LoV
Also if I remember correctly there are multiple vids with LoV somewhat main point of focus and there are still cool (like that one part of Peace Sign with villains suddenly being there for couple of seconds)
So, I just got back from testifying against my kidnapper, and I remembered during the trial that I forgot to tell you guys about the case I wanted to talk about, so here it is (Names obfuscated for obvious reasons):
Some time after school started in 1994 in a suburb in Paris, France, one of the professors at a local boarding school never showed up to work for weeks on end.
There was no notice, no indication that he was ill or had quit, and the principal at the school didn't fire him or even know he was gone until staff notified him. He was the one that called the police and filed a missing persons report.
So, naturally, the police begin digging into this guy that vanished and they essentially came across what I can only describe as a conspiracy goldmine.
The professor, as it turns out, may have never even existed legally.
All of his records were fake and shallowly fabricated, every single thing the man said he had done was a complete lie except for a few details (I will get into those later).
And do you want to know the best part of this whole thing?
When the police came to his registered lease of a house (which for some reason was in the middle of the local woods), they found it completely trashed.
Any evidence of his existence in that house was completely ripped to shreds and destroyed. The only thing they could tell about the man was that he was a computer genius, he had a child, and that he was obviously on the run from something.
Oh yeah, this man apparently had a child!
And according to personal accounts taken from the staff, it was his daughter, a sometimes-homeschooled, sometimes-not preteen that apparently he registered himself under a ton of false records.
Like, the child didn't even have a birth certificate or any names registered. The only things tied to her existence were vaccine records (which were, despite being confirmed as being legitimate, were altered significantly so that every detail about her personally was false) and personal eye-witness accounts from the professor's colleagues.
As you can tell, this practically was begging to be turned into a cold case. The police were unable to find anything that could've indicated their fates other than the house, so they came to the conclusion that the two were kidnapped by someone with a lot of resources and just left it at that.
Now, I don't have to be exaggerating when I say that this case got me hooked when I first heard about it. Not because of any personal reasons, obviously, but because of how mysterious it is.
Despite working at this school for several years and being considered just a simple science professor, this man somehow has the shadiest and craziest existence out of any victims or suspects that I've had to read about in the past.
Everything about the man is fabricated or at least seriously ofuscated. Its like this man just popped into existence with his daughter legally, and I've been kind of hoping to be the first person to actually make a step forward in this case for the first time in several years.
Just something about it is so addicting. So many mysteries, laid one on top of the other. It's got me hooked!
I legitimately want to know how he did, how he completely fabricated his entire existence, and why?
Was he on the run? Was he under witness protection so deep not even the French Government could decipher it? Was he just simply someone in the wrong place in the wrong time?
See what I mean when I say this case is incredibly addicting?
We've briefly mentioned it before, but TOMORROW at 10:00 AM CT, we launch Red Web: Case Files, our brand new video show! We'll have a fun new episode every Thursday over the next 8 weeks. Subscribe now at youtube.com/redwebpod!

"Yeah, this is the only hotel in this area. And this is our only room left. We had someone else about to check in, though, so you'll have to agree on something with them, they went off to grab something, so you'll have to wait for a moment."
It's not often that Max is sent abroad for further education or events, but this is one of these times - and after his originally booked hotel had issues with electricity and was shut down for the while of his stay, he had to search for an alternative - only one bed, and another suitor? Seems like he'll have to pay them a whole load of money to back out of this one. Max turns to search for the person, tries to spot them, and then someone oh-so-familiar approaches, and Max can't help but break out in a fit of laughter.
"No," he croaks out in between snorts, and maybe it's the weed he's smoked earlier that makes him think this is so funny, "Esme?"
trying to find good subs for shows is just deciding what your tolerance level is for:
untranslated words like language-specific honorifics, words with "too much culture-specific context" that are "impossible" to find a 1-to-1 correspondence, my nakama, or any term you saw floating around on the internet in the early 2010's and prior
MAXIMUM PROFANITY where any word that could maybe be considered vulgar is taken to its FULL FUCKING POTENTIAL
the op and ed never being translated :'(
waiting months for updates and not being sure if a sub group killed this project or not
swift & flynn had a game when they went to bars where either of them could call ‘ friend ’ or ‘ foe ’ walking in, and they’d both be obligated to either make buddies with whoever they encounter there or provoke them to physical violence. those were the only rules & they were iron clad.
