Isabella Hellman (41) has been missing at sea since May 14th, 2017. She disappeared while on a trip through the Atlantic aboard her new husband Lewis Bennett’s (38) catamaran boat. Isabella and Lewis were the only passengers on the evening of May 14th. Lewis told investigators that, on the night of Isabella’s disappearance, he activated autopilot on the boat around 8pm before going below deck to sleep; Isabella allegedly remained upstairs to “keep watch.” Lewis said that he awoke hours later, after hearing the boat collide with an unknown object, as they neared Cay Sal Bank, Bahamas. When he emerged from below deck, Lewis said that Isabella was gone. After sending off emergency signals, Lewis abandoned the catamaran for a life boat and the catamaran eventually sunk. He was rescued a few hours later, without Isabella.
Upon returning to the couple’s shared home in Miami, Florida, Lewis announced that he believed Isabella had fallen overboard and drowned. He did not participate in any searches for her. Instead, he promptly tried to declare Isabella dead before taking their 9 month old daughter to his hometown in England—leaving Isabella and her side of the family completely behind. After months of minimal leads and clues about what happened on that night, police finally announced that they had arrested Lewis and charged him with second degree murder in Isabella’s case on February 20th, 2018. After his arrest, FBI investigators who worked the case said Lewis “falsely claimed that Isabella disappeared after the supposed accident.” Investigators also stated that they had evidence that Lewis purposely sank the boat. In fact, they revealed that damage the boat’s twin hulls appeared to come from the inside, rather than outside.
It is believed that Isabella’s death was “financially motivated.” Investigators believe that Lewis immediately tried to declare Isabella dead because that would give him rights to her home in Delray Beach and also access to her bank accounts. Lewis is currently being held in Miami.

19 year-old Brandon Swanson disappeared during the early morning hours of May 14th, 2008. He vanished after driving his car into a ditch while on the way to his family’s Marshall, Minnesota home.
The previous day, Brandon had completed his first year of classes at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and he went out with a few friends to celebrate. He decided to head home around midnight. At some point shortly thereafter, Brandon accidentally drove his car into a ditch. He was not injured in the accident, but his car was stuck. He called his parents around 12:30am and told them that he had gotten his car stuck near the town of Lynd. Brandon’s parents immediately headed out there to pick him up, but they were unable to locate him. Brandon called his father back and told him that he could see the lights from the town, and he was going to walk towards it and meet them there. He remained on the phone with his father for the next 45 minutes as he walked towards his destination. Brandon and his parents continued to look for each other to no avail. Then, shortly after 2am, Brandon’s father heard Brandon abruptly shout “oh shit!” before their phone call was disconnected. Brandon’s parents continued to look for him for a few hours before finally calling the police at 6:30am.
Police looked into Brandon’s cell phone records later that day, which revealed that Brandon had actually called his parents from the city of Porter, located 25 miles way from Lynd. Police then went to that area, where they found Brandon’s car stuck a ditch in nearby Taunton County. It is unclear if Brandon was aware that he was not actually in Lynd.
It was theorized that Brandon might’ve drowned after falling into the Yellow Medicine River, which is located near the area his car was found. However, extensive searches of the river have not found a body. There have also been numerous land searches of the surrounding areas that have also not produced any clues. Brandon’s parents do not believe he fell into the river; they stated that he was not clumsy nor did he sound disoriented while he was on the phone with them. Despite the fact that Brandon crashed his car and might’ve been unaware of his location, it is not believed that he was drunk, either. Brandon’s friends said that he did have a “drink or two” at the celebration, but he was not noticeably intoxicated.
Foul play has not been ruled out in Brandon’s case. In fact, Brandon’s parents believe that foul play was responsible for their son’s disappearance. Since they do not think that Brandon drowned, they believe that foul play explains the abrupt ending of their phone call. They do not believe that Brandon would disappear on his own accord.
Investigators are still looking for leads/clues in Brandon’s case. If you have any information that could lead to his whereabouts, please contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department at 507-694-1664. [x]

Rachael DelTondo (33) was shot and murdered in the driveway of her parent’s Aliquippa, Pennsylvania home on May 13th, 2018. She was shot around 10:30pm, just moments after her friend Lauren Watkins (17) dropped her off at her parent’s residence. Police have yet to make any arrests in the case, nor have they publicly announced any suspects. Still, police have made it clear that they believe Rachael was targeted.
There has been a lot of speculation about why Rachael might have been targeted. The young woman was a beautiful and popular high school teacher who reportedly had a lot of admirers. Rachael was also rumored to have a contentious relationship with the local Aliquippa PD. Two years before her death, in February 2016, Rachael was found in a parked car with fogged up windows accompanied by Sheldon Jeter Jr. (17). Sheldon was not a student at the school Rachael worked at, but he was still a minor at the time, and it appeared suspicious that Rachael was in a parked car with him during the early-morning hours. Police questioned both Rachael and Sheldon after approaching the car, and they both insisted that they were just friends and they were just talking. Although this seemed questionable, police did not have proof that anything illegal was going on. Still, Rachael begged the police officers to not publicize the incident because she was afraid that it would anger her fiancé. Nearly a week later, Rachael and said fiancé called off their engagement.
In the following months, Rachael seemed to put both her old relationship and the incident with Sheldon behind her. A year and a half later, though, the February 2016 incident came back to haunt her. In October 2017, an anonymous e-mail was sent to Rachael’s employer, multiple county and state agencies, several media outlets, and her friends. The e-mail contained the police report about Rachael being spotted in the “suspicious vehicle” with 17 year-old Sheldon. The e-mail also suggested that police covered up the incident. The report in the e-mail was a complaint about both the incident with Sheldon and the alleged subsequent cover-up. Said report was filed in spring 2017—over a year after police caught Rachael in the car with Sheldon. To this day, it is unclear who sent this anonymous e-mail containing the incriminating reports—but Rachael was suspended from her job as a result. Still, no charges were filed as the Aliquippa PD maintained that they did not have evidence of criminal activity.
Rachael and Sheldon continued to have a friendship over the following months. There were rumors that Sheldon was in love with Rachael and the two did have a romance at one point, however Rachael was also rumored to have a romantic relationship with Sheldon’s older brother, Tyrie Jeter (26). In fact, Tyrie was actually seen with Rachael the night she was killed.  He had accompanied Rachael and Lauren Watkins on their outing that evening. Police later obtained text messages between Tyrie and Sheldon, which suggested that Sheldon wanted to join the group that night and felt left behind and unwanted. Sheldon was inevitably questioned by police following Rachael’s murder, and they noticed he showed “almost no emotion” when he was told of Rachael’s death. Sheldon hired a lawyer very shortly thereafter and continues to maintain that he was not involved in the murder.

Nicholle Coppler was only 14 years-old when she vanished in Lima, Ohio on May 19th, 1999. She reportedly left her home on her own accord, but her family was concerned for her safety–especially when it was later revealed that Nicholle had been spending time with an older man named Glen Fryer. Fryer had a criminal history and had previously been in trouble for sexually assaulting young girls.
Three years after Nicholle’s disappearance, in 2002, Fryer was charged with raping a 12 year-old girl. Authorities searched Fryer’s home, and they found both Nicholle’s ID card and her diary among the possessions in the house. Nicholle’s diary had an entry that was dated May 24th, 1999–five days after her disappearance–that stated she had run away and wanted to return home, but the people she was staying with would not allow her to leave. From that point forward, Fryer became the prime suspect in Nicholle’s disappearance. Investigators eventually produced the theory that Fryer might have tried to force Nicholle into prostitution, but ended up killing her when she resisted. Unfortunately, prosecutors never had the chance to charge Fryer with anything related to Nicholle’s disappearance. Four days after pleading no contest for the 2002 rape case, Fryer hung himself inside his jail cell. Investigators still searched Fryer’s home again, but they did not find anything.
Finally, in 2012, the city of Lima obtained control of Fryer’s house after its taxes went unpaid. The house had been abandoned for years and was in very poor shape by this point. As a result, the city declared that the house was a safety hazard and planned to tear it down. A demolition team tore the house down in February 2012. As they began to dig up the house’s foundation, the demolition team found human bones. A coroner later confirmed that the bones belonged to Nicholle Coppler.
After this gruesome discovery, it was clear that the investigator’s theory stating Nicholle had been killed by Fryer was likely correct. However, there were two other men living in Fryer’s house around the time of Nicholle’s disappearance and investigators are reportedly hoping to locate these men to question them about Nicholle’s death. Nicholle’s case is tied to a much larger issue of human trafficking, and how runaway teens are at high risk. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an estimated 1 out of 7 runaway teens are likely to be victims of sex trafficking. If you or someone you know is involved in sex trafficking, please call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 — or Text INFO or HELP to BeFree (233733).

Sade Robinson was only 19 years-old when she was tragically murdered following a first date on April 1st, 2024.
Reports state that Sade met up with her date at a seafood restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin shortly before 5:30 PM that evening. She never returned home, nor did she show up for work the following day. A concerned friend reported Sade missing on the evening of April 2nd, 2024.
The friend contacted the Milwaukee Police Department to report Sade missing around 9:00 PM. By this point, Milwaukee investigators had dealt with several suspicious crimes that day. Amongst those crimes was a burning vehicle found in a parking lot on the 1800 block of North 29th Street around 7:30 AM that morning. Later that evening, a severed human leg was found in Warnimont Park.
Eventually, it was determined that both the vehicle and the human leg belonged to Sade Robinson. Investigators also learned the identity of the person Sade had been on a date with on April 1st: Maxwell Anderson, a 33-year-old man residing in the 3100 block of South 39th Street.
Anderson was arrested and taken into custody on April 4th, 2024. That same day, a search warrant was executed at his home. During the search, investigators found blood on both the walls leading to the basement and the walls of Anderson's bedroom. They also found several containers of gasoline.
On April 6th, a severed human foot was found near the area where Sade's car was found. Days later, a human torso and arm were found washed up on a beach along Lake Michigan. Reports state that those remains are thought to be Sade as well.
Maxwell Anderson was held for several days before prosecutors finally announced charges. Anderson is currently charged with several counts: first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson of property other than a building. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The brutality of Sade's murder has led to speculation that Anderson is not a first-time killer. This speculation intensified when it was determined that the blood found in Anderson's house does not belong to Sade. Many are left questioning if Anderson has other victims that have not been discovered yet.

Timeka Pridgen was only 16 years-old when she went missing on May 12th, 2001. She was last seen at her family’s home in La Grange, North Carolina. On the evening of May 12th, Timeka was at the house with her mother, Cosandra Best. Cosandra was expecting to see her boyfriend, Eric Moore, that night—and she planned to end her relationship with him once he arrived at their house. However, 5 minutes before Eric said he was going to be there, Cosandra dozed off to sleep. She later woke up around midnight and realized that Timeka was gone. Cosandra was unsure if Eric ever actually stopped by, but she was immediately worried about her daughter when she realized Timeka’s shoes and other personal belongings were still inside the house. Cosandra subsequently reported Timeka missing.
Throughout the investigation, it was determined that Timeka was on the phone with a friend shortly before she disappeared. The friend told police that the phone call abruptly ended after Timeka heard a knock on her door. Police initially believed that Timeka was a runaway and they thought that she might have traveled to Goldsboro, North Carolina. As time passed, though, police began to believe that Timeka was forced out of her home by somebody she had let inside. Cosandra believes that Eric Moore—the man she intended to break-up with that night—is responsible for her daughter’s disappearance. After Timeka disappeared, Cosandra learned from the police that Eric had previous criminal convictions for a sex crime, kidnapping, assault and theft. Still, Eric has never been charged with anything related to Timeka’s disappearance.
In 2006, Eric was convicted of an unrelated sex crime that occurred two years after Timeka’s disappearance. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison and was eventually released in 2015. Police have not stated if they consider Eric to be a suspect in Timeka’s case. Timeka remains missing today. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please contact the La Grange Police Department at 252-527-5117. [x]

Marlaquinta ‘Marla’ McGhee has been missing since May 12th, 2015. The 25 year-old was last seen the previous night at her parent’s house in Memphis, Tennessee. Marla brought her sons there to spend time with her father/their grandfather. She originally planned to stay for dinner, but she changed her mind at the last minute and decided to go home. Marla’s family has never seen or heard from her again.
A few hours after Marla went home, her parents received a phone call from the father of Marla’s children. He told them that Marla hit him in the face after an argument. He then called the police, but by time officers arrived on the scene, Marla was gone. Marla’s parents attempted to call her several times, but Marla never answered the phone. Her phone has since been shut off.
Surveillance cameras captured Marla leaving her apartment complex during the early morning hours of May 12th. However, her parents believe that she intended to return. It is uncharacteristic of her to be out of touch with her parents and her children. Police questioned the father of Marla’s children, as he was the last person to have seen her, but they have not charged him with anything related to the case.
Marla’s car vanished with her as well. The vehicle is described as a tan/brown Ford Contour with tape on the driver’s side window. Additionally, Marla’s family is offering a $1000 reward for any information that could lead to Marla’s whereabouts. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please contact 901-636-3700.

Brianna Denison vanished under suspicious circumstances on January 20th, 2008. Her body was later found hidden under some tree limbs in a roadside ditch in Reno, Nevada. The 19-year-old college student had been raped and strangled to death. The night before she vanished, Brianna and a friend attended a party together at a local Sands Regency. Brianna and her friend later returned to her friend’s home near the University of Nevada Reno. The two girls went to bed upon their return, however when Brianna’s friend awoke the following morning, she realized that Brianna was missing. She also noticed that there was a bloodstain on the pillow that Brianna had slept on the night before. The police were called, and a massive search for Brianna was launched in the Reno area.
Weeks later, on February 15th, 2008, a man returning to work from his lunch break spotted Brianna’s body under some tree limbs in south Reno. An autopsy confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted and asphyxiated to death. Brianna’s disappearance and murder occurred after a string of sexual assaults were reported at the University of Nevada Reno. DNA found on the bloodstained pillow confirmed that the sexual assault cases were, in fact, linked to Brianna’s case. At that point, investigators were tasked with finding this serial offender before there were more victims.

Suzanne Morphew (49) vanished on May 10th, 2020. It was originally reported that the mother-of-two disappeared on Mother’s Day, after she left her Maysville, Colorado home to go for a bike ride. Suzanne never returned home, and a neighbor reported her missing later that evening. Initial searches for Suzanne ended unsuccessfully. Reports stated that search crews “of more than 100 investigators, eight tracking dogs and four drones, as well as members of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, South Ark Swiftwater Rescue and Reach Air Ambulance have been unable to find her.” The only trace of Suzanne that was found was her bicycle, which was located in a nearby ravine shortly after she was reported missing.
Suzanne’s husband, Barry Morphew, put a $100,000 reward in place for anyone with information about Suzanne’s whereabouts. That reward was later increased to $200,000 after a friend donated money to the case. Barry told police and loved ones that he was in Denver on the day she vanished - which is an approximate 3-hour drive away from their home in Maysville. However, in October 2020, new information about Barry’s alleged alibi surfaced. It was originally reported that Barry was in the Denver area on the day Suzanne vanished. He said that he left the family’s Maysville home during the early morning hours of May 10th, and then returned later that afternoon after learning of his wife’s disappearance. Barry went to the Denver area to work on a landscaping job. He was hired by the president of the landscaping company, who also happens to be his close friend. However, Barry’s name is reportedly not on any documentation related to this specific job. Additionally, the job was reportedly scheduled for Monday, May 11th - not Sunday, May 10th. In fact, the city did not issue a special permit for the work to be completed on a weekend, which would have been required for this particular job.
All of this information leads to many questions. Did Barry actually go to the Denver area that day? And if so, why did he go a whole a day earlier than necessary? Why did he lie about the date of the job? Suspicions had been cast on Barry since the beginning of the investigation - especially when it revealed that Suzanne was unhappy in their marriage and was having an affair with another man. She had reportedly begun a relationship with this man two years prior, while she was going through chemotherapy. In May 2021, Barry Morphew was arrested and charged with Suzanne’s murder. At that point, loved ones of Suzanne felt they were one step closer to getting answers. Unfortunately, though, this would end up being far from true.

Stacey Burns was found murdered inside her own home on May 10th, 2009. The then-41-year-old lived in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where she worked as a school nurse while raising her five children. Stacey’s brutal murder sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community of Wolfeboro - and many are still fearful about her killer remaining free today. Stacey’s body was found in her bedroom by her son. It was Mother’s Day, and her children planned to make her breakfast that morning. When Stacey’s son Michael, then 15, walked into his mother’s bedroom, he stumbled upon the horrific scene: Stacey was dead - she had been brutally stabbed to death. The killing happened overnight, while her children and some of their friends slept in nearby rooms. According to Michael, none of the children in the house reported hearing any signs of distress that night.
During the early stages of the investigation, police learned that there were numerous people in Stacey’s life that could be potential suspects. Just months before her death, Stacey finalized her divorce with her ex-husband/father of her children, Ed Burns. According to Stacey’s loved ones, the divorce was contentious. Stacey had begun a new relationship since separating from Ed, but reportedly ended that relationship just a few weeks before her death. Police also learned that just days before her death, Stacey went on a date with another man - during which she was confronted by her more recent ex-boyfriend. Despite all of these suspicious circumstances, no arrests have ever been made in Stacey’s case. Still, there is a lot of speculation about her killer’s identity. A close look at Stacey’s various relationships, combined with the timeline of events leading up to her death, provides a few different theories.

Rachel Galbreath (33) was found murdered inside her South Holland, Illinois apartment on May 9th, 2014. The young woman was known to many as a huge animal lover. She worked at a dog grooming salon prior to her death. Rachel was scheduled to work on the morning of May 9th, but she never showed up. Knowing this was unlike her, one of Rachel’s co-workers stopped by her apartment to check on her. Once the co-worker entered the apartment, she came across a horrific scene: Rachel was dead in her living room. Her body was on the floor in a pool of her own blood. Investigators determined that Rachel had been brutally beaten to death. She had been hit over 20 times by a blunt force object. It was clear that whoever had killed Rachel did so out of rage. Due to this, it is not believed that her murder was random. In fact, Rachel’s family members immediately had a suspect in mind: Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, Jason Jozenes. The two had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship that lasted for about 8 years. During their time together, Jason was reportedly violent towards Rachel on numerous occasions. Her family members stated that he was incredibly jealous and controlling as well. Rachel kicked him out of her home just weeks before her murder. On May 5th, 2014–just four days before her murder–Rachel posted the following on Facebook: “I really need to rant for a minute here. I’ve decided that the next man I date needs a job, a good work ethic and history. He needs to take pride in where he lives and be able to pass a mental evaluation. Leos need not apply. It’s going to be nice to come home to a house that’s as clean as it was when I left it. Also will be fantastic not worrying about someone going through my stuff and stealing my cigarettes.” This post was clearly referencing the end of a relationship. It appeared that Rachel was finally ready to move on. She was killed just days later. Although Jason has not been named as a suspect, Rachel’s loved ones have posted about him in a Facebook group dedicated to receiving justice for Rachel. Her loved ones stated that Jason was sole beneficiary of her life insurance policy–which was activated just 30 days before the murder. He also got married just three months after Rachel’s death. A few different lead investigators have been in charge of the case in the years following Rachel’s death. An abundance of evidence has reportedly been “tested and retested”, but according to investigators, they have found “no physical evidence that links any one person to the murder.” Rachel’s family members continue to fight for justice. If you have any information that could help lead to an arrest in Rachel’s case, please go here to submit an anonymous tip.

Milana Li was only 13 years-old when she was found deceased near her family’s Beaverton, Oregon home on May 10th, 2022. The young girl was last seen alive on May 8th. Milana left her home around 4:00 PM that afternoon to take a walk along the Westside Regional Trail to Barrows Park. Milana regularly walked this route and was typically only gone for half an hour to an hour. When she did not return for her 8:00 PM curfew, her family members began to worry. Milana was reported missing the following day. Milana and her family are originally from Kazakhstan. The family moved to Beaverton a few years before Milana’s untimely death. Milana’s mother lives full time in Beaverton with their children, while Milana’s father travels back and forth between Beaverton and Kazakhstan, where he runs a business. Members of the community in Beaverton described Milana and a quiet and sweet young girl. When she was first reported missing, police classified her as a runaway-despite the fact that she has no history of such behavior. Shortly after 2:00 PM on May 10th, police received a call about “suspicious circumstances” in a small stream at Westside Linear Park. When officers responded the scene, they found the body of a young girl in the water. A short time later, the young girl was identified as Milana Li. An autopsy determined that Milana died by homicide. At this time, investigators have declined to comment on her exact cause of death. Very little other information about the investigation has been revealed. Police are now searching for Milana’s killer. Though an arrest has not yet been made, police maintain that they do not believe there is a threat to the community at this time. If you have any information that could lead to an arrest of Milana’s killer, please contact Beaverton authorities at 503-629-0111.

Tristyn Bailey was brutally murdered during the early morning hours of May 9th, 2021. The young girl was only 13 years-old. A 14 year-old named Aiden Fucci has been charged as an adult with Tristyn’s murder in the first degree.
Tristyn was a 7th grader at a Patriot Oaks Academy in St. Augustine, Florida. She was a cheerleader and beloved member of the community. While it does not appear that Tristyn and Aiden Fucci ran in the same social circles, they still knew each other. Aiden also attended Patriot Oaks Academy, and he and Tristyn lived in the same neighborhood in St. Johns County. Tristyn’s parents called 911 around 10 AM after realizing she was not inside the house. Her parents told the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office that they had last seen her around midnight. However, after speaking with various other teens in the neighborhood, the Sheriff’s Office learned that Tristyn was seen around 1:15 AM at the Durbin Amenity Center–which is within walking distance from her house. Investigators looked at surveillance cameras in the neighborhood, and ultimately found footage of two people matching the descriptions of Tristyn Bailey and Aiden Fucci walking together on Saddlestone Drive at 1:45 AM. Around 3:30 AM, the same surveillance camera captured only one person–presumably Aiden–walking back in the other direction. A search for Tristyn in the surrounding area was conducted. Around 6 PM, a searcher found a body in a wooded area near a retention pond, located just east of Saddlestone Drive. Shortly thereafter, the body was identified as that of Tristyn Bailey. She had been stabbed numerous times.  Investigators questioned Aiden Fucci very early into the investigation. He reportedly made many conflicting statements. At some point, Aiden was into the back of a police car. While in the vehicle, he posted a selfie to Snapchat with the caption, “Hey guys has inybody (sic) seen Tristyn lately.” It’s unclear if this selfie was taken before or after his arrest. Aiden was finally arrested around 3:30 AM on May 10th, after police found various items and pieces of clothing covered in blood in his bedroom.
Members of the community were shocked not only by Tristyn’s violent death, but also by the fact that another child in the community was charged with her murder. Many were also shocked by Aiden’s seemingly insensitive Snapchat that he posted regarding Tristyn’s disappearance. In the days and weeks that followed Aiden’s arrest, many more appalling details about the case were revealed.

15-year-old Baleigh Bashaw was brutally murdered inside her own home May 7th, 2018. That day began as a typical day for the teenager; she went to school that morning and then returned to her Salt Lake City, Utah home around 3:00 PM. Upon Baleigh’s return home, she called her mother at work to check-in. At some point during that phone conversation, Baleigh was attacked as her mother listened. Baleigh’s frantic mother then called a neighbor, who went to the home and found Baleigh dead. Her killer had already fled the scene.
Baleigh’s mother immediately had a gut feeling about the killer’s identity: 24-year-old Shaun French. French had lived in the home with Baleigh and her mother for six months during the previous year, until Baleigh’s mother kicked him out in July 2017. Baleigh and French still kept in touch after this, but Baleigh’s mother was unaware of the extent of their relationship until May 2nd, 2018—just 5 days before Baleigh was murdered. That day, Baleigh confessed to her mother that she had been in a sexual relationship with French that began when she was 14 years old. Baleigh had recently ended the relationship, and French was not taking it well. It was clear at this point that French is a dangerous person. It was established that he had raped Baleigh, who was too young to consent to a sexual relationship. The events that followed proved exactly how dangerous French is - and it unfortunately cost Baleigh her life.

Paige Coffey has been missing since May 7th, 2019. The 27 year-old was reportedly last seen at the Steelyard Commons shopping center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has never been seen or heard from again. At the time of her disappearance, Paige lived at her grandmother’s home in Bratenahl. She frequently communicated with her family members and friends, and it is unusual for her to simply stop contacting them. Paige’s mother stated that she last saw Paige on April 30th, 2019, when she dropped her off in Oakwood Village to visit her boyfriend. Paige and her mother spoke briefly on the phone the following day–and that was reportedly the last time they spoke. Paige’s mother reached out via text a few days later, but did not get a response. The last confirmed sighting of Paige was at the shopping center on May 7th. Paige’s mother reached out to her boyfriend after days continued to pass without any word from her. The boyfriend told her mother that he did not know where she was. This seemed hard to believe, as Paige and her boyfriend spent most of their free time together. However, Paige’s mother did not approve of their relationship, as she felt that her boyfriend was abusive and controlling. It also seemed unusual that the boyfriend had not reached out to the family about Paige being missing. Paige’s mother finally filed a missing person’s report on May 17th, 2019. Nine months after Paige’s disappearance, the FBI and Bratenahl police held a press conference to announce a $5000 reward in exchange for information about Paige’s whereabouts. During the conference, the police chief stated, “numerous investigative leads have been conducted, but to date nothing has led to the location of Paige. We strongly believe that someone in this community has a vital piece of information that law enforcement needs.” It’s unclear if investigators consider Paige’s boyfriend to be a person of interest. Brandee Hope Canipe vanished at the age of 29 during May 2006. The young woman resided in Mocksville, North Carolina at the time of her disappearance. Those closest to Brandee describe her as a free spirit who had a habit of taking off and staying out-of-touch for long periods of time. Due to this, Brandee was not reported missing until April 2010 – nearly four years after she disappeared.
Brandee grew up in Shelby, North Carolina, and she was the oldest of four sisters. According to the sisters, Brandee was a fun and loving sibling. She had a particularly strong relationship with her sister Staley, who was the closest to her in age. However, as the sisters grew into their teenage years, Brandee began to move in a separate direction. She moved out of her family’s home at a young age and only kept in touch with her family sporadically.
It was not uncommon for Brandee’s family members to go months without hearing from her. Whenever she would reach out, she would let her family know where she was located. Brandee reportedly would stay in various places throughout North Carolina – such as Winston-Salem and Mocksville. She also lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at some point.
Throughout the years, Brandee gave birth to three children: two daughters and one son. Brandee’s daughters lived with her parents, while her son lived with his father. She also got married twice and was known to some as Brandee McCluney or Brandee Rackley.
Brandee’s sister Staley first began to worry about Brandee’s wellbeing when she did not show up for a funeral. The mother of Brandee’s ex-husband had passed away. Brandee was reportedly quite close with her, even after the divorce. Although it had been years since Staley had heard from Brandee at this point, she still expected to see her at her ex-mother-in-law’s funeral. After Brandee was a no-show, Staley began to think something was off.
Eventually, Staley decided to contact police about Brandee’s disappearance. Brandee was officially reported missing on April 19th, 2010. Throughout the investigation, detectives were able to determine that she was last seen on May 6th, 2006. The last known sighting of her occurred in Mocksville - where she was living at the time she vanished. The four-year gap between Brandee’s disappearance and when she was finally reported missing further deepened the mystery.
