May 15th, 2016 was supposed to be a fun day for 28-year-old Jerome Baker III and his six children. That day, Jerome planned to take his children to Six Flags in Eureka, Missouri. Before they could leave for their trip to the amusement park, Jerome seemingly vanished from his home in St. Louis. He was never seen alive by his loved ones again.
According to reports, a woman that Jerome was dating planned to join him and his children on the trip to Six Flags. The couple spent the morning at Jerome's residence, preparing for their day at the park. Then, around 10:00 AM, the woman borrowed Jerome's car, bringing one of his kids with her, to go pick up her own children for the trip.
After the woman left, Jerome called his best friend to ask if he could borrow his car to drive the rest of the children to Six Flags. His friend agreed, and subsequently drove over to Jerome's house so he could use the vehicle. When his friend arrived, approximately 11 minutes after their phone call ended, Jerome was nowhere to be found.
Most of Jerome's personal items, including his wallet, jacket, and extra cash were left behind. The only item that vanished with him was his cell phone - but all calls and texts to the phone went unanswered. Jerome's mother was alerted about her son's sudden absence, and as such, she went to his house to investigate. Once there, Jerome's mother noticed that there were drag marks in the dirt in her son's backyard.
Jerome was reported missing to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police. Unfortunately, the police's investigation did not yield any clues to Jerome's whereabouts. Months later, in October 2016, a utility worker found a human skull in a vacant dump site on Bircher Boulevard and Riverview Boulevard. The skull was later identified as that of Jerome Baker III. His remains were found an approximate 10-minutes' drive from his home. Jerome's death was classified as a homicide.
It's been reported that Jerome's mother has pleaded with police several times to take more action in her son's case. In fact, after Jerome vanished, his mother reportedly made "pleas to have her son’s phone pinged, with law enforcement initially giving her the runaround. When they finally acted, a chilling revelation emerged – a 911 call made on the day of Jerome’s disappearance captured him fighting for his life against multiple assailants."
Despite this information, there have been no arrests for Jerome's murder. No suspects or persons of interest have ever been publicly identified. The case remains unsolved, and Jerome's loved ones are left without answers. If you any information that could lead to the arrest of Jerome's killer(s), please contact St. Louis Police Department at (314) 444-5738.

"I know you loved your life and I loved your life too. And knowing how much you loved yours, I must love mine the more. I will always be thinking of you and hoping that you are having ice cream in heaven. I know you are an angel there and someday I will be with you.
The clouds will be pink like the walls of your room and we will be laughing together and looking forward, and back, and not missing each other anymore.
Love forever, Your friend, Lindsey"

Fiber Trace Evidence in The JonBenet Ramsey Case
Tumblr media
Photograph of JonBenet Ramsey. Source: Internet.
My personal belief, in the above photograph JonBenet is wearing the red jumpsuit that Patsy Ramsey wanted to examine some stains on the morning of December 26th, 1996.[1]
Research for the JonBenet case shows there was a lot of red fiber trace evidence from clothing. Fiber trace evidence can be direct evidence of the principal.[2] Disappointingly, insufficient information available for a complete forensic analysis and findings.
Tumblr media
Photograph of fibers under a microscope. Source: Internet. Not fibers from the JonBenet case.
Red fibers were found in the paint tray and on the white blanket.[3] In my theory, the assailant used the white blanket to aid in breaking off the paintbrush bristle. Red fibers were transferred to the bristle. The assailant placed the broken bristle in the paint tray. The tip of the paintbrush handle was broken off. The tip rolled off into the clutter of the wine cellar and was never found. Of course, I would need to know where the red fibers were found in the paint tray to substantiate the transfer.

Did an intruder lift one of the window-well grates? Reasonable amount of information available in the public domain for a forensic analysis. However, more information is needed for an accurate forensic analysis and findings. Perhaps there will be an article on that question in the future.
It is my hope that forensic science can prove who the assailant was of JonBenet.

The Mystery of Jennifer Fergate.
On May 31, 1995, a woman under the name of Jennifer Fergate checked into the Oslo Plaza Hotel in Norway. She was given room 2805. She payed in cash and did not show any ID. She did give the hotel staff some information. She said to be 21 years old and came from Belgium.
Originally she also checked in a Lois Fergate into the same room as hers. Nobody had seen another woman with Jennifer but an employee said he saw a man with her. This man remains unidentified.
During her stay, Jennifer was absent from her room for the next 2 days. When the cleaning staff checked her room, everything was clean.
On June 2, Jennifer extended her stay until the following Sunday. A member of staff saw Jennifer enter her room, where she put a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. The sign stayed on the door until the next day, which alarmed the employees of the hotel. There were 3 attempts to get in contact with her by the staff, it is confirmed the messages were read but not answered.
A hotel security guard gets called to check on her room. When the hotel security knock on the door of room 2805 he immediately hears a gunshot inside. The room is left unattended until the evening. When the security guard checks again, he finds Jennifer on her bed inside the dark room. He couldn’t get a response from her and called the police.
The police arrived half an hour later, to find Jennifer dead on her hotel bed. She had a single gunshot wound in her forehead.
Blood was found all around and up to the ceiling. She did not have any blood on her own hands. A second shot was found through a pillow and mattress.
There was nothing to suggest who this woman truly was. There was no identification in her room and all the tags were removed of her clothing. The only personal belonging found was a man’s perfume.
It was determined that she was around 30 years of age, not 21. She had also eaten her room service the day she died, even though she ordered her room service 24 hours earlier.
The only things sure was, that her name was not Jennifer Fergate.
The was only one possible suspect, a man that was being called Mister. F. He was in the room right across from Jennifer’s. The man was said to be from Belgium and checked into the hotel on June 2. Mister. F. had told authorities that he had been told that Jennifer was dead right before she was found dead. Before he could be questioned he had checked out.
The mystery woman is sadly to this day unsolved. This case is truly crazy and this is only the summary of the entire story.

It All Starts with Two Missing Kids
I’ve been following this rather crazy story for a few days now and I thought I’d share it with you. Just be warned before you read that this is all ongoing, so there’s a lot we don’t know. I’ll do my best to make it less confusing than it really is for you, and to set aside rumors from known facts.
We’ll start in November of 2019, when Kay and Larry Woodcock called police in Rexburg, Idaho, and asked them to do a welfare check on Joshua “JJ” Vallow, whom they hadn’t heard from since late September. JJ is a 7 year old boy with special needs and although he was Kay and Larry’s biological grandson, he had been adopted by Kay’s brother Charles Vallow and his wife Lori. Charles had died in July 2019, so JJ was living with Lori and her new husband, Chad Daybell (more on that later, because it’s one big piece of this puzzle).
When police arrived to Chad (51) and Lori’s (46) house on November 26, JJ wasn’t there. They claimed that he was staying with a family friend in Arizona, but police soon found out that wasn’t true. They went back the next day with a search warrant, only to find that Lori and Chad had abruptly left town with an unknown destination.
If that wasn’t suspicious enough, authorities realized that JJ wasn’t the only kid missing. His older sister Tylee Ryan, who was Lori’s 17 year old daughter, had also vanished and no one had seen or heard from her since September. Neither of the kids had been reported missing by anyone.
JJ and Tylee’s whereabouts remain unknown, and we don’t even know if they’re alive. Rexburg police has openly said they “strongly” believe they are in danger. In a press release from December 30, they said that witnesses claimed Lori and Chad had told them Tylee had died in 2018, which wasn’t true, and that Chad had told someone else that Lori had “no minor children”. Meanwhile, Lori and Chad, wherever they are, have lawyered up.
While the missing children is undoubtedly the more pressing matter, it’s only the tip of the iceberg in this case. Turns out that both Chad and Lori have quite a shady past, especially in relation to their previous spouses.
Chad was married to a woman called Tammy (49), who was found dead in her home on October 19, 2019 (so a month after the kids went missing). At the time, her death was considered from natural causes, but now police consider it suspicious and have exhumed her body to perform an autopsy and testing. The results, if they have them, haven’t been released yet. Chad married Lori only two weeks after his wife’s death.
Lori, who’d been married four times before finding her fifth husband in Chad, was also a recent widow, but her husband’s death was way more violent than Tammy’s. Charles Vallow and her had separated in early 2019 and their divorce was getting nasty. On July 11, 2019, Charles was shot to death by Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, in Arizona (where Lori lived before moving to Rexburg). Alex’s story was that Charles had showed up at the house, an argument had ensued and Charles had hit him with a baseball bat, so he’d shot him in self defense. Alex (51) himself died of unknown causes on December 12, 2019, and his death is currently under investigation as well.
So here is where things get a bit muddier, since some people believe that all this is related to an alleged cult. Both Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow were very religious. Chad owns a publishing company called Spring Creek Book where he had self-published many of his books that talk about the end of times and near death experiences. He and Lori used to appear in podcasts from a media company called Preparing A People, which claims to help prepare people on Earth for the second coming of Christ, and it’s connected to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The owners of said company issued a statement in December in which they distanced themselves from the couple.
According to the Woodcocks, Lori was a nice woman until she started getting more involved with this religious group in 2018, where she supposedly met Chad. When Charles Vallow filed the divorce papers, he made some very shocking claims about Lori, saying that she was “obsessive about near death experiences and spiritual visions”, that she claimed to be “eternally married to the prophet Moroni” from the Book of Mormon and that she had lived “numerous lives on numerous planets”. The document from February 2019 says: “(Lori) informed (Charles) that she is a translated being who cannot taste death sent by God to lead the 144,000 into the Millennium. She is receiving spiritual revelations and visions to help her gather and prepare those chosen to live in the New Jerusalem after the Great War as prophesied in the book of Revelations”. Charles also claimed that Lori said she had been assigned by God to “carry out the work of the 144,000 at Christ’s second coming in July 2020″ and that if he got in her way she would kill him, and that had an angel who would help her dispose of his body. And as we know, Charles was dead only 5 months later.
There are reports that Lori left Charles because he was cheating on her during his business trips. One police report seems to believe that Charles was the most suspicious of the two, and you can read about it here. So I guess we need to keep our minds open regarding this part of the story.
To add a little to the weirdness, a man called Brandon Boudreaux was married to Lori’s niece and claims she abruptly asked for divorce after she started spending time with Lori’s religious group. Then, in October 2, 2019, Brandon was shot at by some unknown assailant while he was driving a car registered in Lori’s name. The bullet missed him, but Brandon is convinced that it’s connected to this alleged cult (which, to be fair, hasn’t been officially confirmed by anyone).
Tylee’s dad, Joseph Ryan, who was Lori’s third husband, died in 2018 from a heart attack.
So far no charges have been pressed against Chad and Lori, who remain uncooperative with the investigation and refusing to reveal where her kids are. Their lawer issued a statement saying: “Chad Daybell was a loving husband and has the support of his children in this matter. Lori (Vallow) Daybell is a devoted mother and resents assertions to the contrary. We look forward to addressing the allegations once they have moved beyond speculation and rumor”.
UPDATE Jan 27, 2020
Authorities have located Lori and Chad in Hawaii. The children are not with them and there’s no evidence they were ever in Hawaii either, and the couple has again refused to tell police where they are. They have been given a child protection order, which requires Lori to physically produce Tylee and JJ to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in Rexburg or to the Rexburg Police within five days, otherwise she might be subject to civil or criminal contempt of court.
UPDATE FEB 11, 2020
The deadline passed, Tylee and JJ’s whereabouts are still unknown. We’ve learned a few things, though:
- In August 2019, about a month after Charles Vallow was murdered and shortly before Lori and her new husband moved from Arizona, where she lived with her kids, to Idaho, she gave away JJ’s service dog, even though he was vital for her son’s treatment. She tried to sell the dog, Bailey, first for 2.500, but ended up telling Bailey’s trainer to take him (x).
- Tylee’s cellphone was found in her mother’s possession in Hawaii. According to several sources, the phone has been used since Tylee was last seen in September, but a text sent to a friend didn’t sound like her (x). Her older brother Colby also got texts from Tylee until October, but would never be able to talk on the phone with him when he tried. Colby also found Tylee’s texting style back then different from usual (x).
- Between October and November 2019, Lori put all her kids’ belongings in a storing unit in Idaho (x).
- When Charles Vallow was murdered by her own brother, Lori told the news to his adult sons from a previous relationship by text, telling them only that their father had died and kept avoiding explaining how exactly he died (x).
So far no arrests have been made, despite Lori’s refusal to comply with a court order. Police are likely working on gathering enough evidence to be able to charge her with something.

Nicole Evelyn Silvers was only 16 years-old when she vanished during the early morning hours of April 9th, 2014. The teenage girl disappeared from Longmont, Colorado. Reports state that Nicole was last seen sitting in a dark colored 1980s-model sedan near the 1000 block of Sunset Street. She has never been seen or heard from again.
Nicole was reportedly staying with a friend's family in Longmont before she vanished, but her own family lived nearby. Certain reports state that Nicole's "familial relationships may have been strained" at the time of her disappearance. However, Nicole spent time with her older sister on April 8th - the day before she vanished.
According to reports, Nicole's older sister dropped Nicole off at her friend's house on the evening on April 8th, 2014, and then never saw or heard from her again. It appears that the last documented sighting of Nicole occurred later when she was spotted sitting in the sedan near Sunset Street. Her whereabouts since then remain unknown to this day.
Nicole was initially classified as a runaway, but eventually, investigators changed their tune. In fact, Weld County Cold Case Detective Byron Kastilhan told reporters that he does not believe Nicole had motive to run away. She was a high school student, she had a job at a local pizza parlor, and a lot of loving people in her life. There is also no evidence that Nicole planned to leave on her own accord.
Over the years, there has been a lot of online speculation about what might have happened to Nicole. Some commented about Nicole having a boyfriend who was in his 20s - but it's unclear if this boyfriend was ever identified. It is also unclear who owned the car that Nicole was last seen sitting in.
There are a lot of unanswered questions about Nicole's disappearance. She remains missing today. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please contact the Weld County Sheriff's Office at 970-356-4015.

During the fall of 1996, JonBenet attended High Peaks Elementary as a Kindergartener, or “real school” as she liked to call it. She took to school life like a bird to air and excelled in her subjects, advancing to 1st grade level math by December. A pal to all, she quickly befriended her classmates and became the go-to person to escort students down to the nurse’s office when they were not feeling well.
In her first semester report card, JonBenet’s teachers described her as a bright and compassionate child. Her art teacher wrote, “She draws happy, sunny pictures. She is talented and a care-giver to other students.”
Her music teacher noted, “JonBenet loves to dance and sing. She always makes sure that each student has his/her turn.”

December 31st, 1996: The day of JonBenet Ramsey's funeral. Before the casket closed, Patsy tucked a plush cat in her daughter's arms. This stuffed animal was JonBenet's favorite. She named it Sister Socks after a stray cat the Ramseys took in at their summer home, who, just like the toy, had grey striped fur and four white paws. JonBenet was laid to rest in a small cemetery in Marietta, Georgia beside her sister, Elizabeth "Beth" Ramsey.

LaToyia Figueroa
Tumblr media
Everyone remembers the tragic 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway, but not many remember the disappearance and murder of 24 year old LaToyia Figueroa in Pennsylvania, who disappeared that same year.
During the time of her disappearance, LaToyia was five months pregnant and had a 7 year old daughter. On July 18, she was reported missing after she failed to show up to work. After the young mother was missing for more than a month, a police detective followed up on a tip and followed Stephen Poaches, Latoyias boyfriend and father to her unborn child. As the detective followed Poaches, Latoyia’s body was found.
She was found in a partially wooded lot that was 13 miles south of Philadelphia. When being questioned by police, Poaches claimed that he choked LaToyia after she hit him on the face and shoulder as they argued after they had gone to her medical checkup earlier that day. During his trial, Poaches said the he wanted LaToyia to have an abortion, but she refused. He was found guilty of 2 counts of first degree murder of LaToyia and her fetus.
What makes LaToyia’s case so controversial was the lack of media coverage surrounding it. While cases like those of white women like Natalee Holloway and Laci Peterson get huge media attention, cases like LaToyia, who was black and Hispanic, did not. This phenomenon is referred to as “Missing White Women Syndrome”. This means that pretty, white damsels in distress draw in viewers while missing women who are black, Latino, Asian, old, fat, or ugly do not. Only after many bloggers had written about this lack of media attention, LaToyia’s case became national news. One other detail that makes this case sad is the fact that LaToyia’s mother had also been murdered when LaToyia was a toddler.
LaToyia’s family also had said that this lack of coverage had brought more tragedy to the search. LaToyias uncle, Joseph Taylor, had actively criticized the media as well.  While this investigation had many huge bumps in the road, along with the internet bloggers Rap stars Beanie Sigel and Damon Dash, Beneficial Bank, T.G.I. Fridays, local philanthropists Joe Mammanaand, and Kal Rudman had helped the family search for LaToyia as well as give funds. Americas Most wanted and the Philadelphia Citizen Crime Commission had also teamed up with the police to help with the search.

Podcasts on The JonBenet Ramsey Case
Tumblr media
Photograph of JonBenet Ramsey. Source: Internet.
A real life investigator that I consulted on several of his cases has shown no interest in my articles on the JonBenet case. If I were to say who the investigator was, you would know him. He once had a TV program on Investigation Discovery channel. He now is a regular guest on a true crime podcast.
I am flabbergasted that podcasters want to review what they know so far about the JonBenet Ramsey case and have no interest in discussing what progress can be made in the case.
I understand the intrigue and mystery may be more exciting than the truth revealed. Did escapee Frank Morris and his two companions survive the escape from Alcatraz prison to San Francisco?
While visiting San Francisco, I took a tour of Alcatraz Island.
My cursory review of the escape was the party needed to float on something to reach San Francisco. Hypothermia likely would have been an issue. However, the escape was on June 12, 1962 which would have had warmer water.
A make shift life raft was discovered washed up on the Island or nearby Angel Island. Was the life raft damaged or shown to have failed? Was there more than one life raft used in the escape? If the party made it to the shore of San Francisco, they would not have left a life raft on the beach for the authorities to find.
The escape party did not injure anyone. Those unanswered questions are more fun than knowing for sure the answers.
How can podcasters look at photographs and see videos of JonBenet and hearing about who she was, not be interested in a resolution to her case? For podcasters, the JonBenet case is a bigger story unsolved. That is shameful, disgraceful and applauding.
Tumblr media
Photograph of “The Critic” TV program. Source: Internet.
A majority of podcasters are lackadaisical about doing in-depth research on the case. With a little hard work, they would find my articles on the case published on this Tumblr page. The podcasters do well as a review of the history and the facts of the case but are discussions, not investigations. When podcasters draw conclusions from the discussions, it is mostly speculation, conjecture, and supposition. Please see this high school academic video on claims, evidence and reasoning.[1]
The logic fallacy of the false dilemma with the CODIS DNA profile is quite common. I do recall one or two podcasters that were investigating the case but making many poor logical connections.
It is my hope that you will enjoy the investigative journalism articles on the JonBenet Ramsey case published on this Tumblr page.
The most thorough investigation yet on the case in the media.
I was pleased with the articles. They moved the case forward and gave hope for a resolution. I was able to take the confusing information about the DNA and made it easy to understand. My theory of the case was the best fit with the first hand information available in the public domain.
Disappointingly, Detective Lou Smit's full, thorough and complete Boulder Grand Jury presentation was not available in the public domain to examine. Thus, I focused on the believed point of entry, the basement train room middle window.
In my view, based on the first hand information available in the public domain, the sequence of events line up more from inside the house than from outside the house.
