Because of the cyanobacteria outbreak in my 10 gallon I've been reluctant to show off that tank. I've been picking out sheets of the stuff every few days. It's terrible! I did another water change today and sat there for an hour picking out what I could. But here it is post water change.

You can tell the plants took a bit of a hit but it's not too bad. The fishies are doing well for the most part. There is some bad news and I swapped some fish around because of it.

I lost one of the female endlers in this tank, as well as one of the other females in my 6 gallon. Which made it 2 males per female, which isn't ideal really. So since both remaining females are pregnant(one looks like she's about to bust lol), I moved them to my 6 gallon and kept all the males in the 10gal.

As for the rest of the inhabitants, the shrimpies are doing well. I actually moved one into the 6 gal since I was getting some thread algae in there.

The loaches are still doing loach things.

They've made a cave in between the rocks and its fun to watch them wiggle in and out of there.

Dimitri is fat and happy, and still contemplating life's secrets.

I'm glad that the cyanobacteria hasn't effected the fish or shrimp at all. The plants are growing slower and getting a bit stunted in areas. I've cut the lighting down from 10 hours to 8 and I'm withholding fertilizer for the moment to try and keep phosphates down. I don't want to spot treat hydrogen peroxide anymore because I can tell that it stresses the shrimp out. I've ordered some blue green slime remover online but it's taking weeks to get here which is frustrating. But it is what it is. As long as I can keep it from choking out my plants before it gets here! Also.. I need new lights for this tank. They're simple clip on desk lamps and I've noticed they're starting to rust where it clips on, and it doesn't help that I dropped one into that tank today! But it makes sense they're starting to rust, they're like 5 years old now. If you've read this far I'm wondering what lights do you use on your nano tanks? I would like to get proper ones for my 10 and 6 gals. Also need one for the future 20 gal I have to set up still.
