days spent in the sun → treech
Tumblr media
a/n → making coral’s moodboard sent me into a spiral and now i have moodboards for every district 😭 is it worth it to post?
notes → in which nature is the perfect place for treech to show his love for you. feminine intended reader (though not sure pronouns are mentioned)
warnings → not edited & upload via iphone
your hands were wrapped around treech’s arm as he carefully lifted his axe up to the tree, beginning to carve the shape of a heart. he was prudent in his work, meticulously shaving the bark off of the tree from inside the shape he had formed. you watched him silently, in awe of his handiwork. the result was a perfect heart shaped carving, permanently engraved on the tree. beaming, you pressed a quick peck to the boy’s cheek, then pulled him along with you as you walked atop a tree trunk bridge back to the lake. currently, the two of you were clad only in your undergarments, having gone out with the intention of swimming for the whole day. your clothes were strewn over the branch of a fallen oak, basking in the sun. the water was freezing, a stark contrast to the midsummer heat that lingered in the air. treech held your hand as you stepped in, prepared to catch you if you accidentally slipped. at first, you sunk into the shallow water leisurely, but as the water reached your hips, you let go of treech’s hand, completely submerging yourself in order to get used to the temperature. as you arose, your teeth chattered, but a grin was still plastered on your face.
“get in, the water’s great!” you invited treech to join you with a sarcastic remark as he stood to the side, opting to just watch you. you could tell he contemplated it, but he denied, shaking his head. “where’s the fun in that?” you whined.
“i’ve gotta do something first.” he simply replied, a roguish glint in his eyes. you were suspicious, but let him do his own thing as you bathed in the water and sunshine. the gravelly sand that covered the bottom of the pond indented the skin on the underside of your legs, adding a soothing pressure as you sat down, letting the water ripple around you. many minutes passed, and you grew restless the more time you spent alone in the water. venturing further into the pond, schools of minnows could be found darting rapidly. they brushed past your skin, maneuvering around your moving form. all was quiet aside from the waves of the water as you forded through. a rustle in the bushes from behind you startled you, causing you to jump and turn around quickly. treech had come back, his hands behind his back.
“whatcha got there?” you queried, swimming over to him as he kneeled by the water. he just smiled, pulling out a bouquet of colorful wildflowers from behind him. vibrant pink poppies, orange lilies, mauve colored petunias, a few orchids scattered here and there, and yellow wallflowers galore all seemed to bloom from his hand. you were in complete and utter astonishment at the bundle of flowers and the work he had gone through to pick them for you. they were tied together with a loose stem, and you delicately took them from his hand. mother nature’s sweet scent wafted from the stunning plants, instantly soothing you. “these are beautiful, treech,” he grinned, eyes lighting up with pride. his smile always made you melt, and the way his hazel eyes, speckled with green and honey tones, glowed golden in the sun made him seem ethereal. laying the flowers down gently on the grass beside treech, you draped your arms around his neck, placing a tender kiss on his lips. treech gradually joined you in the water, but not before you plucked the sole, pale blue morning glory from the bouquet and tucked it behind his ear, brushing his curls out of his eyes. he took your hand as you guided him further into the pond. the two of you splashed around, laughing for hours until your fingers pruned.
treech had to drag you out of the water as the sun got lower and lower, the sky growing a burnt orange. you groaned playfully, but shook the water out of your hair anyway, allowing it to drip on the grass below you. the earth felt cool and damp under your bare feet, and the wind blew against your body, making you shiver. quickly, you slipped your shirt over your head, and tied your skirt around your waist, hoping to gain some warmth from the items of clothing that had been strewn out in the sun all day. it seemed to work, but your arms were still bare and the wind was picking up. treech noticed the goosebumps that had formed all along your forearms, and he helped you into his wool coat. smiling, you thanked him, grateful for the extra source of heat. gracefully, you picked up your dainty bouquet of flowers. intertwining your fingers with his, treech led you out of the familiar woods, taking you down the roads of district seven, back to your home. like the gentleman he was, treech walked you to your door, waiting to make sure you got inside safely before leaving. he was just about to leave as you slipped through the front door, but you called his name before he could go any further. he raised his eyebrows, urging you to go on.
“i love you,” you professed, coyly.
“i love you more,” treech declared with a smile, before promptly turning and bidding you goodnight, the flower still adorning his hair.

TBOSAS fix-it AU where the games are postponed because of the arena being demolished since the rebels planted a few more bombs, and Highbottom decides to try and play the wildcard in his attempt to stop the games. He feels very guilty for coming up with them in the first place, and I’m convinced he came up with the mentor program in an attempt to stop the games, so now that he sees his limited progress he decides to try and show the entire capitol the tributes are just kids.
This wild card is having the kids do a non-lethal version of the games where they just need to knock each other out, with the prize being a whole bunch of different foods and drinks. It’ll take place throughout a part of the city around the academy, with peacekeepers making sure the kids don’t try anything stupid. This is a massive risk, but Casca calculated correctly because the kids do exactly what people didn’t expect from “wild animals”. They laugh and they joke, they help each other in ways that are impossible to write off now that people are seeing it in real life, and they stop everything they’re doing as soon as they think they may have actually hurt someone else on accident. At one point Tanner almost throws Treech to the ground in a way that could have snapped his neck, and catches him at the last second with a horrified look on his face while he apologizes profusely. Treech just slaps him on the back and laughs it off, assuring him it’s fine, and they hug it out before mutually deciding to walk away from this encounter without fighting.
The last two are probably Reaper and Treech, since I’m sticking more closely to their book versions and there ain’t no way Lucy Gray would have beaten Treech in a straight fight without cheating. They actually have a good time sparring, until eventually Reaper knocks Treech out. When Treech wakes up again he complains about Reaper hitting too hard, asking him if that was really necessary, but in a joking kind of way because he clearly isn’t all that mad about it. Reaper gets his prize, and while being filmed for everyone in the capitol to see he shares with all the other tributes, and they fairly distribute everything in a way so everyone will get as much of their favorite foods and drinks as possible while remaining fair.
After this, people start interacting with the tributes at the zoo as actual people, rather than circus animals. Once the actual games come around, there’s so much protest they get cancelled. Initially just for that year, but it ends up being forever given public opinion.
Bonus: during the fake games, the girls have a tea party. At some point, Lucy Gray and Treech perform some songs together for fun and they have the time of their life on stage while Teslee and Circ go ham on all the electronics for special effects.

Make a Move; Treech
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing - Treech x fem!reader summary - Growing up, you were always attracted to Treech, but you never did anything about it. The doubts and friendship always seemed to get in the way. words - 1.81 k warning - fluff! note - OMG, it’s been so long since I’ve uploaded on here and im so sorry. I experienced a lil bit of writers block, but I have a couple of idea so hopefully I will write more! I also surprisingly love this one-shot, so lemme know if you like it as well!! request more things, you guys come up with better ideas than I do. oh and lamina request coming soon!
Tumblr media
You believed you had made it pretty obvious. From the moment you met him in the woods, he was the only one you paid attention to. Others were freaked out by the fact he never left your eyesight—but you didn’t care.
Every time he would speak to you or even look in your direction, you would immediately freeze up. His simple observations of the things you would do made you go crazy.
The adults called it a little crush, but you knew it was more than that—you wanted it to be more than that. Unfortunately, you believed he could only ever view you as the clingy girl he met at a young age. He never did anything to show you there was a mutual liking.
In your childhood, you wouldn’t consider yourselves close. You were in the same friend group, yes, but he liked to play around with the boys while you climbed the trees and sat admiring him from the branches and gossiping with your best friend, Lamina. Whenever you were together, it was often silent—mainly because you were extremely nervous around him.
Sure, you’ve found other boys cute over the years—many who seemed to like you—but they could never compare to Treech. They weren’t caring or natural gentlemen. They didn’t make sure you were comfortable at all times. Treech did. You knew he was the one for you; no one could tell you otherwise.
As you both matured, the crush matured as well. The childish pining after him turned into hanging out and enjoying the time spent with him. On some days, you felt as if your feelings were reciprocated—the flirting and kind gestures. However, on other days, not so much—calling you his best friend and acting like that is all you ever would be. Still, you waited for him to make a move, refusing to do it yourself.
On this particular day, Treech decided to take you out on what you wished to be a date. As Treech knocked on your door, excitement and anticipation bubbled within you. He pulled you out of the house, and together, you ventured deeper into the familiar forest. The air was charged with a mix of playful energy and underlying emotions, creating a sense of unspoken tension.
Engaging in your usual antics, you both ran around, played games, and chased each other through the woods. As you both ran through the trees to your favorite spot, a playful banter ensued.
“Remember that time we got lost here as kids?” Treech chuckled, referring to the lake deep in the forest.
“Yeah, and you thought it was the best adventure ever,” you replied, the memories of your childhood escapades making the present moment even more special.
The day continued with laughter and shared stories. At times, Treech’s actions seemed to carry a different weight—a subtle shift that didn’t go unnoticed.
As you both lay on a blanket, a comfortable silence settled over the scene. The lake stretched out before you, its calm waters reflecting the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves. Yet, amidst the tranquility, your gaze kept drifting toward Treech.
He stared thoughtfully at the lake, his eyes reflecting a distant contemplation. The playfulness that had marked the earlier part of the day seemed to have faded into a more introspective mood. You couldn’t help but watch him, wondering what thoughts occupied his mind.
His profile was outlined against the serene backdrop, which held a certain mystery. You found yourself caught in the details—the way his eyes focused on the ripples of the water, the subtle furrow on his brow, the way his fingers absentmindedly traced the pattern on the blanket. There was an undeniable charm in those quiet moments.
But alongside the enchantment, a nagging doubt crept in. Why, despite the laughter and the special moments you shared, did Treech act like your connection was nothing more than a friendship? You couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something unsaid—a puzzle piece missing from the picture you painted together.
As he continued to gaze at the lake, you couldn’t resist sneaking glances at his face, searching for clues. Was it something you did or said? Was there a reason he hesitated to show his feelings? What do you have to do for him to give the two of you a try? The unspoken question lingered in the air, and a sense of longing grew within you, wishing for clarity that seemed just out of reach.
The sun soon began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the lake. The water rippled gently, reflecting the changing hues of the sky. It had been quiet for a while; the forest around you seemed to hush its usual sounds, as if respecting the sacredness of the moment.
Breaking the tranquil silence, Treech turned to you, his eyes reflecting a vulnerability that hadn’t been there before. “You know, being here with you today has made me realize something.”
Your heart quickened, sensing a shift in the atmosphere. “What is it?” you asked, your voice soft.
He took a deep breath, his eyes locked with yours. “I’ve known you for so long, and I’ve finally come to terms that my feelings for you go beyond friendship. I really like you, more than just a friend.”
A wave of emotions swept over you—surprise, joy, and a sense of relief. The tension that had lingered throughout the day suddenly made sense. You tried to play it cool, but inside you were panicking. This was the moment you had waited for all your life.
Treech continued, “I didn’t want to risk our friendship, but I couldn’t hold this back any longer. You mean a lot to me, and I needed you to know.”
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips. “Treech, I’ve been feeling the same way since we were children.” The words hung in the air, affirming a connection that had silently blossomed over the years. He looked at you with shock written all over his face—as if he hadn’t expected you to return the feelings.
“Do you know how many nights I spent debating whether I should knock on your door? To let you know, I wanted more. To call you mine?” You asked, letting out all your thoughts and feelings that had accumulated over the years.
The shocked look on his face stayed the same as he opened his mouth to speak. “What? I had absolutely no idea you liked me.”
A playful glint sparkled in your eyes as you responded to Treech’s shock. “Honestly, I thought I made it pretty obvious. I mean, everyone knew. I practically walked around with a sign saying, ‘I like trees.' Did you not notice?”
His expression shifted from shock to a mix of surprise and realization. “No! Everyone knows?”
You chuckled, “Yes! Come on! I was always freezing up whenever you spoke to me, or did you think that was just my thing? And the constant admiration from the tree branches? I practically lived up there just to have a better view of you.”
His surprise morphed into a sheepish grin upon hearing everything you did for his attention. “I guess I was a bit oblivious. I thought you were just being your usual self.”
You playfully nudged him. “My ‘usual self’ was practically shouting my feelings for you. I even climbed trees just to impress you.”
He laughed, the tension disappearing with each shared moment of understanding. “Well, I guess I was too caught up in wanting to look cool in front of you to notice.”
You grinned, appreciating his honesty. “I always thought you were cool.”
Treech’s expression softened, and he nudged you playfully. “Guess I missed out on a lot by not realizing it sooner.”
“I’m glad you made the first move. God knows I wasn’t ever going to tell you.” You confessed, the honesty flowing effortlessly now that the truth was out. As the two of you moved closer to each other, the nervousness that had once lingered vanished in the newfound comfort of honesty.
“Why is that? Why did you hide it for so long?” He asked, raising an eyebrow, curiosity in his eyes.
A thoughtful smile played on your lips. “It might seem kind of lame, but I thought it was better to keep it a secret rather than knowing if you felt the same or not.”
Treech’s gaze held a warmth that mirrored the moonlit night. “You know, I was scared too. Scared that if I admitted my feelings, things would change between us.”
You nodded, understanding his perspective completely. The admission echoed your own fears—you would’ve continued to hide your feelings if it were to preserve the friendship. “It’s funny how we both held back because we cared too much. But now that everything’s out in the open, it feels right, doesn’t it?”
He chuckled with a reassuring tone in his voice. “More than right.” He reached for your hand, a silent affirmation of the newfound closeness. “I’m excited to see where this takes us,” he admitted, his gaze filled with anticipation.
You squeezed his hand, feeling the warmth of a shared journey ahead. “Now that I have you, I’m never letting you go.”
The moon continued to illuminate the lake, its reflection rippling with the promise of a future filled with love and honesty. The night, now a canvas painted with shared confessions, marked the beginning of the rest of your life.
As you both gazed up at the stars, a new, comfortable silence settled between you. No longer burdened by unspoken feelings, the air was light, and every shared glance spoke volumes.
A warmth enveloped you both as you leaned against him, the world around you fading away. In the quietude, your hearts beat in unison, wrapped in the comfort of each other’s presence.
You both felt the magic of the moment—the beginning of a love story that was hidden in the innocence of childhood. This was a night to remember, a night where everything fell into place.
The two of you were destined to be—just as you knew when you were children. Everything you did as a child was worth it—the pinning after him, getting closer to him despite the intense nerves you got. The childhood crush, the silent admiration, the nervous moments that turned into laughter, and the patient waiting for him to make a move—all of it led to this beautiful moment. It was all worth it in the end; you had him.
“It’s always gonna be you.”

the district 7 brainrot is real, because i have been thinking about the tree-o (get it? the trio from 7? i am just too fucking funny) and the soldier, poet, ruler dynamic between them and i fear i have to speak on it.
i think for me the most obvious one here is lamina as the ruler. now i know that may shock some people, but listen, this is a girl who has the bravery and forethought to put the needs of others before her own, as we see with her exiting what would have been a safe hiding spot in favor of granting marcus the mercy of death and cutting him down so that his body is no longer forced to stand as a symbol of the capitol's cruelty. additionally, we see book!lamina as being willing to compromise and trade, as demonstrated by her brief interaction with reaper ash where he tosses her a piece of his flag for food. i think generally, of the three she demonstrates best the levelheadedness and big heart needed to lead.
i went back and forth on the other two for a while, but i have to say, of the pair, joanna best represents the label of poet. again, i think this decision will surprise people, especially given that words are not something joanna imparts with a good deal of grace or forethought. still, the manner in which joanna weaponizes her anger both in her interview with caesar flickerman as a last restort to keep the capitol from putting them back in the games and in the way she encourages katniss to "make him pay," in reference to snow. there is nothing beautiful about the language joanna chooses to use, no. the strength of her words comes from their ability to incite anger and revolt in others and specifcally and most often, in katniss.
finally, we have treech as the soldier, a character who, in both the book and the movie is very survival minded. i'm certain this decision will make the most sense, given the way he obeys coral's orders without question, but i also see it in his clear strength in combat. in the movie, the few looks we do get at the televisions displaying sponsorships reveals that of the tributes he has received one of the highest number of sponsorships, implying that he demonstrated a substantial amount of skill in his interview.

-> Treech helplessly sat down in the infirmary, his gaze glued to his hands as he watched the shaky hands no longer covered with the gruesome coat of red that once filled his hands. Yet, no matter how hard he scrubbed he couldn't clean the guilt.
You stood by his side as the nurse left. A few cuts and bruises. He needs to stay monitored for a few days since the snake venom affected his system.
"It's not your fault." You mumbled as the boy looked at you then turned back to his hands, his ripped hat at the foot of the bed. He turned to face it, holding it as he analyzed the rips. One across the hem and one through the top.
"My hat." Treech cried as you cradled his side, salty tears slipped through as he held the hat. Usually, you wouldn't understand how someone would cry over an object like this yet the hat was a gift from Lamina, the moment she died part of him did too.
"I'll fix it." You smiled as you took it, opening the drawer to find a needle and gray thread. You sewed it together as Treech stared at his hands once more, you placed the hat gently on the table before holding his hands.
He looked at you as he cried. You shook your head, wiping his tears before placing your hand on his cheek. "You're not a monster or a murderer. You're a victim just like them." You whispered.
You wanted to tell him how you actually felt. How you felt as if they had gotten out the easy way, how they wouldn't have to live with the guilt like him and it made you sick to your stomach.

"We didn't want to hurt each other." Treech sobbed as you held him closer, playing with his fingers. "We uhm. Reaper apologised to us before the games and Wovey made us bracelets, the peacekeepers took them before we could wear them though. Lucy sang us songs and we all wanted to go home."
"I know Treech." You frowned as he hid himself into your chest. "Well, you're here now, with me."
"I'm a murderer, y/n, I'm a killer." Treech muttered as you shook your head, wiping his tears.
"No your not, not to me." You mumbled. You watched as he leaned in, hesitant to kiss you as you smiled.
You leaned in, placing your soft lips onto his cold ones, yet the moment you did they warmed up. He held your hand as you moved to sit on the bed, his hand, his hard hand that held your soft one, sliding to your waist as his other grabbed your hair.
You pulled back, yet he pulled you in for another kiss as you placed your hand onto his cheek. After what felt of an eternity of love, he pulled back to breath.

Can you do Treech and Lamina (Se prate, in case you were wondering) with a VERY friendly S/O, like they wanna make friends with all the other tributes, coral, mizzen, and all, and are generally a very bright, bubbly person who likes to comfort people??
Thank you!! Have a good day!
Very excited to write for both since I haven't officially!!
Treech x friendly! Gender neutral! Reader x Lamina (separate romantic headcanons)
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader is a very kind and outgoing person, entire headcanons for both Treech and Lamina (separate and romantic).
__
Lamina:
She's a very quiet and sad tribute, so to go into the Hunger Games with her lover is so much worse for her. She would have sobbed about you not being reaped and how she would have tried harder getting home if you weren't reaped with her.
But Lamina can't control what name is pulled and at some point, accepts that.
Your sweet spirits do help her a lot but doesn't stop her from crying consistently. But it's better than constantly.
Once you both got to the monkey house, she would sit near one of the rocks, keeping to herself and keeping herself alive.
Lamina rarely left the small area she kept at, but she left it to pull you away from making friends with the other tributes. It was more so the idea you were bothering them, and she didn't want you creating enemies on accident.
She would say something about not bothering them and "think of the situation we are in". Lamina's anxiety about the entire situation you were both in caused her to ignore the fact the other tributes did enjoy your presence. Many being fond of your kindness, especially people like Lucy Gray, who was just as high spirited as you.
It happened several times more, her pulling you from making a scene out of habit, trying to befriend others just for the sake of it. At some point, she stopped trying and accepted the fact that you were becoming friends with several tributes and gaining attention in the Capital for such friendliness.
__
Treech:
Treech had a similar reaction to Lamina, feeling terrible that you were reaped with him. He didn't have as much of a visceral reaction, like sobbing his eyes out but he's still sad about it.
He would keep you as close as possible, trying to make sure you don't run off with other tributes because you wish to be allies.
But he doesn't mind when you become friends with the District Eight tributes while on the train. He thought it was sweet how nice you were with Wovey.
He knew for a long while that you were very friendly and outgoing since he had dated you long before the reaping. So, it isn't a surprise that you try talking to the other tributes.
Treech would only be around you when you have free time, find food, and during the night. The other times are when he's trying to find plants to eat within the enclosure or when he tries juggling small stones for food.
As time goes on, to entertain yourself outside of finding plants, you'd go around talking to Capital citizens and other tributes. Treech wouldn't be as willing to pull you away since he knew you wouldn't get hurt from both groups.
At the end of the day, you accidentally brought attention to yourself, but it ended in being fed. So, Treech didn't mind it too much.
__ Not extremely romantic, so sorry!

Omg can you imagine Treech holding your hand and talking you through it😭 he’s such a sweet boy, and his sweetheart’s comfort and pleasure is above everything else to him.
💌 -> omg that's so sweet 😭😭 i'm really obsessed with soft treech scenario
⚠️: Smut, Praise Kink, Soft Treech, Riding, Mentor Treech x Mentor Reader (female).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Treech's more of a giver than a receiver. The most important part of sex was seeing how good he makes you feel. Your moans, your face... You were so pretty that he could easily cum just by watching you.
“Such a good girl…” Treech intertwined his hands with yours as you chased your orgasm, your pussy squeezing his cock every time you rolled the hips.
You were so lost in the feeling of being fucked so deep that you could barely keep your eyes open. Your brain was completely blank, the only thought being about how good it felt having Treech inside you.
He groaned when you bit your own lip, just trying to prevent the volume of your sounds from increasing even more. Disturbing the other mentors on the train would be a very embarrassing and unnecessary situation.
"You look so gorgeous, my sweetheart..." It was his turn to bite his lips. He was ecstatic as he admired the sight of your bouncing boobs and the sound of your whimpers. "Such a good girl for me."

I’m working on a thing where all the tributes of the 10th Hunger Games won separate games, ultimately leading to president Snow getting his shit rocked because he sucked from the beginning and TBOSAS proved that, and I was thinking about how all the tributes would have won their games. The way you play the game and what led to your victory will probably have impact on how you cope and what exactly triggers PTSD. I’ve been mostly focused on Lamina and Treech because I love the district 7 tributes they’re built different, but I’ll try to come up with as many as possible for this list:
Velvereen was a career, and scored multiple kills while working with them, but ultimately the alliance broke apart as their members died off in their attempts to hunt down others. Velvereen, being less murder-happy, didn’t get revenge killed, nor did she get overwhelmed by a tribute she attacked, which left her as the last of the pack standing. She won because her last opponent used a melee weapon and she used throwing knives. Thanks to the advantage she had by not only having a long range weapon, but also a lifetime of training to hone her accuracy, she ended their would-be-battle swiftly and took the win.
Facet was also a part of the career pack, not necessarily hunting people down but going out of his way to kill whoever he came across that wasn’t a career. His weapon of choice was a spear, and he won by leaving the career pack when the water got a bit too hot under the team’s feet, and spearing the last tribute like a cannibal-style meat skewer.
Sabyn made full use of her superior health and knowledge of building structures in an urban arena. Aside from using her skill with the mace to bludgeon people to death, she also used it to hit all the weak points in the structures and collapsed walls on top of people. She took out the last remaining tributes by collapsing a building on top of them and killing off the survivors with her mace.
Marcus spent most of his games using his vastly superior physical strength and more well-fed state to his advantage, knowing most of his allies were waiting for the moment they thought they no longer needed him to get rid of him. His solution was to run awa- just kidding he killed them all in their sleep and used the intellect everyone thought he lacked for the rest of the games until the final fight, where he bashed the other tribute’s head into the rocks and then choked them to death.
Teslee wins her games by using her knowledge of electronics to reactivate the mines around the starting platforms and hiding in the cornucopia when there’s only four people left. When the mutts drive everyone to the middle of the arena, they’re subsequently blown up.
Circ wins his games in similar fashion to Teslee, except he gets forced to help the careers with his intellect and knowledge of technology. In response, Circ uses his intellect and knowledge of technology to trick the careers into protecting him and handing him weapons until he no longer needs them, then having the plan they made him execute literally blow up in their face and electrocuting several of them in the process. The last career is killed when Circ evades their attacks until they hit an electrical line with their fully metal weapon.
Coral probably won the same way she almost did in the movie. She was part of the career pack and made sure to be the one to backstab their allies first. There is no little brother figure for her to be worried about, nor are there snakes designed to kill every last person in the arena, so she has all the room and time she needs to handily shish kebab the last tribute and claim victory.
Mizzen doesn’t have as much brutal efficiency, nor the physique that Coral did even though I’m aging him up. He instead wins by mixing her strategy with the tried and true method of staying away from the things that could turn you into a pincushion. It’s like Marcus’ approach in reverse, starting with intellect and finishing with brute strength. He joins the careers, but as soon as things go slightly south he takes out the biggest threat when they aren’t paying attention and runs for the hills (or ocean, because district 4). He lures the last tribute to a body of water by pretending to run away and using the dark so they don’t see the cliff coming, and once they’re in his territory he uses his net to catch them and his trident or knife to finish them off.
Lamina cries so much in the lead up to the games that everyone, including her mentors, have given up on her. Once the games actually begin she surprises everyone with her strategy and skill with an ax, climbing a mountain high enough that people can’t kill her without going up themself and only coming down when she has to. When she does, she stockpiles water and food so she can stay up as long as possible while waiting for the others to whittle down the numbers. On one of her runs she finds a tribute who had a run in with the careers and was tortured almost to death. At their request, she puts them out of their misery. At the end of the games she’s barely got a scratch on her and is still at peak health for the circumstances. She’s forced to come down by the gamemakers, and all but one tribute is killed by the mutts. However, they’re so badly hurt that they beg her to just finish it and end their torment, at which point she hands out a second mercy kill.
Treech won his games by focusing on survival during training and pretending to be very bad at wielding an ax, only showing enough skill to avoid suspicion since he’s from the lumber district. He used good looks and charm during the interview to gain sponsors and talked about home to set up a proper sob story to get sympathy. He used the confusion of the cornucopia to snatch some of the supplies further away from the cornucopia and stays hidden from other tributes for the entirety of his games. Thanks to his stealing from everyone, including the careers, without getting caught, he has enough screen time to maintain his sponsors without putting himself in too much danger, especially before he gets his hands on an ax. His only kills occur during the final minutes of the games, where he jumps the last three careers once he realizes they won’t fight each other until he’s dead and waiting for the capitol to send mutts is more dangerous. He uses the element of surprise to jump the careers, cleaving one in the head and throwing his ax at the career with a long range weapon, before using his knife to injure the last tribute while stopping them from fatally wounding him until he manages to pull the ax from the body of the second career, turning to avoid a swing and gain momentum before swinging down and planting his ax in the last kid’s neck, killing them instantly.
Bobbin lost his arm in the games (I cannot see him as someone that isn’t Knox Gibson), and killed someone with a needle since he knows five ways to do exactly that. After losing his arm, he stayed alive by sewing it and several dangerous gashes closed so he wouldn’t bleed to death. He tripped the second to last other tribute using thread from his clothing and they got ripped to shreds by mutts that had been released into the arena. The last person was killed with that same thread, a brick, and yet again a needle.
Wovey used her perceived disadvantage (again, I cannot see a Wovey that isn’t Sofia Sanchez) by making everyone believe she’s weak. The arena was an industrial terrain not unlike district eight, which meant hiding was a piece of cake for her. Also, she used her knowledge of these kinds of buildings to lead whatever tribute was chasing her around until they were in a prime place for her to strike or ran into another tribute to strike for her. The last tribute was pushed into a machine, which crunched them to death.
Sheaf used her agility to her advantage, and luckily there was a sickle in the arena for her so her strategy became to rush at people with melee weapons, who would then predictably prepare to block a head-on attack, only to duck past them and cleave them in the back. She won her games by tiring her opponent out and decapitating them.
Panlo picks up on skills easily, and in the three days he had at the training centre he learned to shoot pretty decently with a bow and arrow. He’s best with a sickle, but they didn’t have those in his arena and he’d rather stay long range so bow and arrow it was. Nobody expected him to become so proficient so quickly, and since none of the careers used bows Panlo waited until after the bloodbath to run to the cornucopia and grab the set, as well as some supplies. He spent his games scoping out good sniper posts and shooting anyone who got too close for comfort, winning the games by waiting for the last two to finish duking it out and shooting the winner in the stomach, then finishing it with a shot through the chest.
Tanner won his games by joining an alliance (not the careers) and relying on their numbers to keep others from attacking him for as long as possible. During the final fight he uses his strength to wrestle the other person to the ground and uses his knife and experience from working in the slaughterhouses to gut them.
Brandy wins her games by using everything she knows from the slaughterhouses to kill the other tributes. During her last battle, she wrestles the other tribute to the ground and snaps their neck.
Dill is also aged up, and used her fragile state to play innocent before dropping all sorts of deadly things on people’s heads from the trees and poisoning them with her knowledge of agriculture.
Reaper is basically Thresh if Thresh hadn’t died so the capitol could have their star-crossed lovers death battle (you cannot tell me the storm didn’t have that exact purpose, the mutts are more ambiguous). Physically intimidating and strong, but deciding to lay low for most of the games rather than going on a rampant murder spree. He refuses to play the game and doesn’t kill anyone until he and one of the careers are the last two standing. The skirmish ends with Reaper scoring a revenge kill for his district partner, who was killed by this tribute.
Jessup used his strength to to intimidate the other tributes into steering clear of him. He joins the careers right until they’ve got one more dangerous tribute to get rid of, at which point he knows it’s time to cut his losses and run away. He keeps the careers alive, because he needs them to get rid of the other tribute and he’s lower on the priority list, but he knows that once that kid’s gone he’s the next to go. So he subtly stalls them until a night where it’s his turn to watch and grabs as many supplies as he can quietly get his hands on and leaves them behind. Another tribute stumbles across them and gets rid of half the pack, but that’s not Jessup’s concern. He wins the games by smashing a bottle over another tribute’s head and stabbing them to death with the shards.
Lucy Gray Baird wins by becoming the capitol favorite for her games. Her “performance” leads to her getting more sponsors than even some of the careers, which allows her to stay alive without having to put herself into much danger to get supplies. She wins by singing to snake mutts until they recognize her scent and stop attacking her, at which point she has venomous sentient weapons in her arsenal which she makes full use of, taking out two tributes with snake bites and ultimately distracting the last other tribute with them, using the opening it gives her to kill them.
I genuinely cannot think of anything for Hy, Sol, Ginnee or Otto for now, sorry 😅.

Before the hunger games set back in D4
Coral would SO be an overprotective girlfriend
Corals' love language is definitely touch. One could describe her need to have something touching you as an addiction
She adores holding your hand, having some part of her just touching you in some way, small kisses and things like that
She's not much of a sweet talker, though she will flirt with you from time to time
She's definitely taken you out to watch her fish showing off her raw strength
She LOVES to run her fingers through your hair no matter the lengths as long as she's touching you
Coral would SO flirt with you whilst you two are in the middle of an argument smirking and all when it catches you off guard
She is definitely the jealous type. She thought she's not insecure about your relationship, no, not at all. She just perfers if you stuck near her
Coral would adore your siblings if you had any, especially if they were your younger siblings since she's (I believe) an older sister herself
You definitely had at least once gotten her to walk with you on the beach. Like in those romance books that she so despises, she would have complained the whole time but secretly loved it as it was just her, you snd the ocean
Coral would have given you her jacket if she noticed you didn't have one and eventually you'd have a pile of just her jackets in your room since she refuses to take them back using an excuse like "keep em' they look better on you anyways"
Yes, you two have definitely gotten into arguments over her being protective of you, mainly just her scaring away your friends, your two personalitys clashing at times
Your friends have told you to leave coral at times when your arguments are no longer small petty ones, but you'd always tell them to buzz off they just didn't understand coral the way you did
I dont see coral as one of those people who are fans of pet names, but I could see her liking to call you 'darling or gorgeous' nothing special

During the hunger games
If you two just so happened to be in the hunger games, I feel she wouldn't be as gentle as before putting up a tough exterior, not that she would be cruel to you she would definitely be kinder to you than anyone else
Coral is not the nicest person during the game's, so when you're looking all checking out, the arena coral would have demanded you came over to her, forcing you to join her little group
She needed to have you in her view or at least near her most of the time in the arena, she didn't quite trust any of her members in the pack but if she really needed you to go looking with the other two she would send you off with treech not trusting tanner enough to not try something when she wasn't there
Coral would share her food with you even if you had gotten food from doing stunts in the cage she still would split her food with you making sure you ate enough
Coral would isolate you from the other tributes
Whether she was just being possessive or her just being cautious, she would be mad if you just started talking to other tributes, especially lucy Gray baird. Oh, that one would make her blood boil, seeing you two getting along in front of her.
She would have yelled at you to get back to her side, giving you the cold shoulder for a bit, glaring daggers into lucy grays head
If you just so happend to not get selected with coral, you would boost her need to survive and win the game, making her a little bit more 'bloodthirsty' and ruthless

Well, that's it for now. I'm still writing Tanner, Lamina, and treechs. I just haven't had much free time recently, sorry! I did enjoy writing this. Please do tell if there are spelling mistakes!
