✨Tiny cat✨His name is Mimo. For him I used few layers of colored pencils and odorless mineral solvent on a very slightly textured paper to create a smooth effect. My goal was to left as less lines as possible. However for the plant I didn’t use the mineral spirit, I only blended the colors a lot (many layers) to create a smooth result. Saying this, I do have a hairdryer I use to speed up the drying process as I paint. 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the moment, I’m also regretting purchasing Arches watercolor pads, because the paper came unstuck, resulting in wrinkles. 😱 Considering the price, I expected better craftsmanship. 😡 Therefore, I recommend you stretch your own watercolor paper, just make sure to include a 2 inch border around the final framing size when you purchase the paper. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You may also wish to invest in masking fluid. It is the safest way to insure the white parts stay white. I used the fluid around Beast’s head. 😊 🤔 What is your favorite brand of watercolor? 🎨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I really like Yarka St. Petersburg Artists’ watercolor cakes.
