alicia is such a weird episode. its not *that* weird but the first few minutes are really weird because it feels like a medical drama even the camera angles n stuff. like characters we have never seen before on the side of the road talking about something random it feels like one of them should start having a weird medical problem cut to chase explaining the issue to house (tom james?)
tom james does know a weird fact about the medication scopolamine so he could be house md
i see the vision i think house md is tom james actually

For those in the House M.D. and Veep fandoms still unaware, Hugh Laurie (Greg House in House and Tom James in Veep) despite his brilliant accent isn't American.
He's English.

NEXT IN FASHION - SEASON TWO
When Netflix released the first season of Next in Fashion in 2019 - I thought it was a refreshing update to Project Runway design competition. After multiple seasons, PR had become stuck in a rut and focused too much on the “drama” between contestants. No wonder - they had brought in the show runners from MTV’s The Real World.
Next in Fashion also increase the prize from PR’s $100,000 to the sizable sum of $250,000!
I had been looking forward to another season. It was a long wait as Netflix finally released NIF Season Two on March 3, 2023.
Wow! What a disappointment!
It was clear from its first episode that NIF had been scaled down… a shadow of its former staff.
The number of contestants was reduced from 18 designers to 12 designers.
The prize money dropped from $250K to $200K.
The construction room looked cramp. Designers literally bumped into each other with work stations set too close to each other.
The show must have had a limit production schedule as several times the contestants were only given 4 hours to design and construct before judging. For the finale they were given 3 days to design 8 outfits (Project Runway gives its contestants a couple of months.)
This meant the outfits often looked unfinished. Somehow the judges kept praising what came down the runway (“I love the raw edges of the hems!”)
After 3 or 4 episodes I gave up… I started only watching the challenge introduction of each episode and fast forwarding to the runway.
One of my favorite designers (Tom James) got eliminated in the 5th episode.
The only saving grace was that Nigel Xavier win in the finale was deserved. The photos available on the internet don’t do his designs justice. His style is “focusing on upcycling pre-existing garments, with denim being a recurrent material” and often using patchworks, logos, and sportswear motifs.
Whether season three of NIF comes next year or 4 years from now… I think I’ll skip it.
