Sexuality Headcanon: Toko's...tough, because she's got so much going on. regardless, i think if you strip everything away she's genuinely Bisexual, as is Syo. they lean towards Men, but Komaru is special. additionally, i say "comphet" for a lot of the girls, but in Toki's case it's a bit different: hers was less societal and more the abuse of her peers and parents. had she never met Komaru it may have never occurred to her that she could love and partner up with a Woman.

brief aside on this: i don't think Toko would ever identify as gay or queer or anything remotely accurate or healthy (ha). nor would Syo, but Syo would probably use a Slur as a label to get a rise out of people, avatar of rebellion and grunge that she is. Toki in particular is on my list of personal "what are you, gay or something?" characters while actively being married to a woman, next to Miu and a few others. good times

Gender Headcanon: okay, hear me out on this one, and sorry if this doesn't make sense, but...

the Fukawas are generally cis to me, though i've imagined a few scenarios where they're trans. when they're cis, however, i headcanon that, if they're with Komaru, only Toko ends up actually being cis. Syo becomes a sort of...genderweird she/her because she sees herself as the fantasy-masc Byakuya to Komaru's femininity. for lack of a better term: Syo thinks of herself as Komaru's husband (hersband...) a lot.

i have no idea how else to explain this without getting mildly NSFW. my thoughts on it aren't really pornographic so much as, like, Psychosexual? you know? and i want to keep the blog somewhat PG-13, so i'll leave it there!

A ship I have with said character: i am a diehard Tokomaru shipper and they're probably the one OTP i don't like splitting up in the whole franchise. they have a game together. they are the Girls of all time

A BROTP I have with said character: i've always loved the idea of Komaru being the entryway into Toko genuinely befriending (or at least earning the tolerance of) a lot of her fellow survivors in the main timeline. i do think Makoto would sincerely be Toko's pal, though, and i adore positioning him as the sweet bachelor brother-in-law in their nasty little family

A NOTP I have with said character: are there people out there who genuinely ship Fukawa System x Byakuya? if so...i'm sorry, but why? whyyyy. again, i try to Live and let Live in this fandom, but lorda mercy you chose poorly in this case, no offense

A random headcanon: to expand on my previous point...i will add, however, that my Fukawa Headcanons generally don't exclude Byakuya. i've said before that, for me, the Fukawas never really lose their crush on him, but it becomes purely, well, NSFW. if you excuse me being blunt for a moment: they still want to rail him, he figures in many of their fantasies, but they don't want to wake up next to him, and they certainly don't want to have his kids or make him breakfast.

Komaru, however, is the Fukawas' WIFE. she is Love, she is Healing, and she is their very best friend at her core beyond all the romance. she is pancakes and shitty manga and joy. Toko (and Syo) may not dream of Komaru kicking them around, but they do dream of creating a peaceful life with her. well...as peaceful as things can get in that timeline. some shit is always Happening

anyway: and Komaru just accepts this, because she knows she's got the girl(s) in the end!

General Opinion over said character: 10/10 i love my Toki so very much. Toki kinnie 4 life. stinky little insect creature. vile and perfect and lovable

More Dethklok headcanons:

How I imagine each of their morning routines go.

•Nathan: Nathan likes his routine. He’s a a regular guy. If he’s not waking up screaming from a night long prophetic nightmare, he usually gets up around the same time every day, unless he’s hungover or feeling lazy. He strikes me as the type to go shower, then grabs the outfit he wore the previous day, sniff it, and then put it back on. He pretty much wears the same shit each day and choosing an outfit wastes time, in his opinion. If he doesn’t have to go anywhere then he just goes to the kitchen in his boxers and robe to drink from the milk carton. Then he likes to read the news paper, while wearing his glasses, and drinking his black coffee. He stares into the void for awhile, not talking, just clearing his throat or grunting while making a mental check list of what he needs to get done that day. I think Nathan tries his best out of everyone to be organized, the best he can at least. Nathan is one of those guys that would have a stupid mug that says ‘don’t fucking talk to me until I’ve had my coffee’ or ‘not a morning person’. Some dumb Spencer’s type of shitty mug.The guys got it for him as a joke but he uses it anyway.

•Pickles: Pickles wakes up hungover, surrounded by beer cans, probably passed out behind the couch or in some really weird position that hurts his neck. He sits and stares at the wall for a few minutes, gets up to go puke, then heads to the kitchen to search for more beer. Pickles never learns, or he just doesn’t care. Charles just stands there shaking his head. Pickles has a bed but he hardly wakes up in it. He falls asleep in bed a lot and then finds himself passed out somewhere random, usually on the floor in the living room or his bathroom. He never remembers too much of the previous night and that’s okay. He likes blacking out. He doesn’t usually eat breakfast when he has a hangover and just finds random snacks to munch on until he feels a little better.

•Murderface: The first and I mean very first thing Murderface does when his eyes open each morning is jack off (with his bass playing hand). Then after a round of that he turns on the tv. Sometime later he probably joins Pickles who’s sitting at the table in his underwear. Murderface likes to have breakfast even if no one else is, so he has Jean Pierre cook him something right away. Murderface usually sits at the table, stabbing away at the surface with his knife, and talks at whoever is up. Pickles, who’s too hungover to even comprehend what he’s saying, and Nathan, who’s sitting off to the side silently doing a cross word puzzle. Murderface doesn’t care if they aren’t listening, he just likes to talk and hates awkward silences. When Nathan is done with the newspaper Murderface asks for it so he can read the obituaries. “I jusht like to schee who’s died lately…you know, caush I’m up at the crack of dawn, living my life, and they’re jusht dead! Ha! Fuck em!”

•Toki: When Toki wakes up, he always checks his Dethphone to see if he has any missed calls or messages from Dr Rockso. Toki likes to take those dumb morning selfies and send them to the Dethklok group chat. He usually says the same thing every time like ‘just workes up! Good mornings!’ and only Charles or Nathan responds because it’s so early. Toki wakes up the earliest because his body is used to it. As a child he had to be up before the sun in order to begin the family chores, so I feel like he’s usually up and going long before everyone else. He also can’t fall back asleep unless he’s hungover. Toki likes to have some quiet time with just himself for awhile, working on his model airplanes or coloring. He loves the guys but sometimes he likes to be by himself where it’s quiet and no one’s arguing. I think he also talks to himself or to his stuffed animals while he’s building his models, telling them about his nightmares or what he wants to do that day. Sometimes he just goes on rants and feels better afterwards. “Man I reallys hopes Dr Rockso nots in the slammer again! I donts know what’s to tells that guy! He nevers listens to Toki! I just tries to helps him cause he ams my friend!” Toki also has to take his insulin, which he’s gotten the hang of now since Charles instructed him to do it. He hardly misses a shot, knowing he feels better if he takes them. Sometimes though he can’t resist those sugary kid’s cereals and he’ll eat a big bowl of cereal and then take his insulin right away. He knows it’s risky but he likes sugar too much. The guys all stand there staring at him, making sure he doesn’t go into a diabetic coma. Murderface will wait around just a little longer than everyone else, you know just in case ‘hambuger time’ happens.

•Skwisgaar also gets up early. When he’s waking up alone and not in the company of the women who sleep over, he likes to get out of bed right away so he doesn’t depress himself by lying there and staring at the ceiling, wasting precious time that could be spent practicing guitar. He goes and takes a piss, showers, then spends forever brushing his hair and doing some kind of skin routine, but he doesn’t let anyone else know. Dude literally hides his facial stuff and face masks so no one asks about them. If anyone does see them, he usually says something like one of the ladies he was seeing that night left it. “Oh ja, dis sluts from de nights before leaves alls her shit in my rooms…so I’s just keeps it for a reminders how goods dat ah sexual intimasky was that day. It’s likes a trophy.”After he finishes with his hair and stuff, Skwisgaar sits and practices guitar until his hands are sore. If he’s not hurting himself is he really playing to his full potential?! He has a weird obsession with outdoing himself from his last practice session, pressuring himself to be better and faster each time. If he can’t play the fastest he won’t be the best. He has to be the best. Once his hands are too sore it motivates him to leave his room so he doesn’t fall into a hole of self criticism over his guitar playing. When he’s around others he’s the biggest show off about how good he is at guitar and he knows it, but on occasion even he doubts himself. And being alone and second guessing himself can be too much first thing in the morning, so he joins the guys in the kitchen. He usually has black coffee like Nathan and probably toast or something.

PART II of my super long aotd thoughts (and prayers) commentary/analysis extravanganza🤪

warning: spoilers. repetition of words/expressions hehe. badly written (english is not my first language lol). looong text. curse words. biased opinions because this is my blog and i get to do with it as i please.

previously: part I

Murderface slowly begins to be taken over: oooh boooy. now this arc, oof. i really like this arc. Murderface is a dick. a lot of times during the show i found myself losing my temper at him. but he adds a lot of fun to the band dynamic and it’s very sweet whenever we get to see more of him outside his shitty ego-driven behavior. a lot of my favorite episodes are those where we get glimpses of how much pain Murderface hides under his shitty personality. and this movie went ballistic on developing his character! big big fan. it was genuinely terrifying (for me at least lol) to see him deal with horrible visions by himself. he is scared but also doesn’t do much to fight it? and we never see him seek help, which adds salt to the wound. he is like that after all: he holds very little regard for his own safety and when things are serious he doesn’t trust anyone to help him. he puts on long sleeves and keeps going. Salacia was actually smart to get him and exploit his fears and weaknesses, but that’s exactly why i hate him with my whole being.

Establishing band roles and brewing conflict: Knubbler carried this entire section of the movie, case CLOSED. he is funny, sassy, he knows how to deal with the boys and the man knows about music. he is the best man for the job and i love him for that. also he planted the seed of the family trope and that’s gospel. moving on, i really like how the writing challenge was presented: the central subject being to deliver a message and reach out to those important to you. moving on, yeah yeah nickels band parents, nothing new. sister Toki is my favorite thing ever and Skwisgaar IS the older brother, argue with the wall. but MURDERFACE!!! the way he talks about his role on he band was heartbreaking. my man has no self-esteem and that’s tragic. it’s also a great parallel between him and Nathan, who also doesn’t seem to know his own place in the band (and in the world). they both need to work on themselves and THAT’S the movie, actually. Skwisgaar and previously Pickles are very focused and Toki keeps his colorful thinking and joyful manners and that really healed something in me. finally, the slow zoom on Murderface as he listens to the band talk shit about him made a hole in my heart. the following scene of him in his bedroom was genuinely chilling and it establishes how he was going to sabotage the song of salvation. great work.

Nathan vs the internet: ANOTHER AMAZING SCENE. dethklok vs tabloids/bad press is 1. a very fitting commentary of what fame and stars have to deal with and 2. something we know does get to them because it was established on the show before (Dethvanity). the fact that it comes back to haunt Nathan now at his lowest is just genius. it continues building up tension and it’s exquisite. the headline “Explosion in Flop Era” was not in my bingo cards but ugh it’s GREAT, and the “Brave Woman Refuses Proposal” was amazing to see, because it’s true! Abigail was very brave for standing her ground and we should say it. also, i liked it even more because women tend to be treated horribly in the media and considering Abigail is a character that even fans of the show cursed and trashed irl, i like that this movie went against that. i absolutely adore how Nathan called his parents for advice/support (and we get to see baby Nathan yipee! and they have a cat??? cute), his relationship with his parents is very important and i like that it was acknowledged even in such a short scene.

TRAINING MONTAGE YIPEE!!!: the Knubbler rage fit was so great. i laughed so much. he is such a drama queen and yeah go off babe!!! then the scene establishing the guitar tuner??? genius. it also hints that Toki lost practice and some of his abilities after dsr and that’s just great storywise, i love when events have consequences lol. the scene of Murderface discovering the army was sooo cool, and Skwisgaar following??? tbh i’m a sucker for every Skwisgaar moment in this franchise, he is amazing and he IS the moment. and the way he speaks to Murderface the morning after??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? sexiest man alive PERIOD. moving on, Pickles cheering Nathan as he climbs to the tree was so cute! it carries on with his desperation on being Nathan’s boy best friend™, and how concerned he looks when Nathan doesn’t make it to the top is perfect because it means that he thinks he is failing himself at being a good friend. moving on, Nathan struggling to write was so cool! the lines “i don’t know what salvation is” “hope isn’t a metal concept” “people don’t come to me for salvation” and “i sing about death” were so raw in my opinion, and so true! Nathan is a lyrical genius and in universe people live AND die for his gutsy, bloody, brutal lyrics. but he could also feel caged because of that same reason. if he wishes for something more, something not brutal like a family and being happy, he must feel like he isn’t allowed those things. they’re not for him. they’re not what he does. and he even shows doubt about what he is good at, as he is now lacking confidence due to Murderface’s previous doings. and when Knubbler asks if that’s what he feels is the song of salvation he just… gives up. he doesn’t think the song is going to save anyone, but he is too scared and sad to try anything else. it’s also painful how after Murderface says “i think this plan sucks” Nathan goes and scratches out the “band” from his list. yeah, he doesn’t communicate with them. he gives up and closes off.

if the world is ending, do drugs!: ok first of all, great sequence. seeing Nathan in different stages of his life was so so BEAUTIFUL. from birth to death, repeating over and over. NOW, THE WHALE. REAL QUEEN. so powerful so calm so cool so wise. i really like seeing Nathan communicate with her (if i’m getting wrong the pronouns please correct me hehe). he looks so sincere and honest, even when he’s telling her how scared he is. it’s refreshing to see him being vulnerable. and the words of the whale are deep, both reassuring and challenging. i really like how she says that basically Nathan writing the “wrong” song is what’s meant to happen, because the real challenge is what he will do afterwards. it’s self-explanatory tho, so i won’t say much. but yeah, i really like all this scene. especially because i share that headcannon of Nathan having visions of the ocean/the whale for all his life. it makes this encounter face to face much more significant.

world’s worst salvation concert: i am a sucker for the parallels between the scenes of the equipment getting ready and Knubbler religiously preparing for the song. FACEBONES IS BACK! GOOD SHIT! when Nathan, SECONDS before starting the song asks himself if this is wrong or not was AMAZING!!! i loved the vertigo of him being already there: no way out, no turn back, no second chances, no time to think. it’s even better when you remember just how distant he is from the rest of the band. nobody else knows how unsure he is (except for Murderface, for obvious reasons) and so he is standing there, in the middle of the stage, fearing that he won’t be able to save anyone. seeing him look fucking terrified as his cue to sing approaches is ugh, cinema. the sequence of people dying was very funny actually, because it felt so much like the early seasons of the show. horrible, absurd and extreme deaths is basically the first thing we see of dethklok back in season 1 so it’s nostalgic. very good sequence. now, when the song cuts off and we see Knubbler concerned i promise you i was holding my heart in my throat. the helicopters in the distance, flying on the bloody red sky is such an amazing visual i can’t stop thinking about it! the concern on Knubbler’s face when he says “how did they find us” is chilling because, if you think about it, Knubbler is actually kind of a normal person, and that’s saying a lot because everyone on this show is on some weird shit. yeah he jokes around and it’s playful and seems relaxed but he is actually very sensible. he is one of the few people working with dethklok who does his job well, takes it seriously and is not afraid to tell the boys when they’re being idiots. the man has recorded albums with dethklok AND survived! and we know just how messy the boys are, professionally speaking. so seeing him be visibly concerned and scared in this scene got me panicking. and when he screams to the boys to run UGH. i choked up. again, he’s worked with them a long time and has gotten to care for them, even when he runs out of patience. and the fact that he’s now also involved in this huge save-the-world plan it’s jarring! imagine if the 5 irresponsible menchildren you’ve been working with, who you’ve cared for and called out and had fun with so many times are suddenly the chosen ones and you have to save their asses once again, this time with the entire world at stake. that’s INSANE.

Chaos™: Toki’s immediate concern over Skwisgaar is just wow. my fucking heart :(((. the look of terror on everyone’s face is amazing and, dare i say, fear is one of the biggest character developments the band goes through together. they’ve seen sooo much fucked up shit in ther lives, individually AND as a group, countless deaths, bloody and gutsy and brutal, but they almost never showed horror before. THIS is what terrifies them. the idea that not only they��re about to die (i have a theory that the boys don’t really fear death, outside of Toki and Skwisgaar maybe), but also the idea that they ultimately failed and everything is just: going to end. they didn’t even finish the song, they weren’t able to reconnect with their fans, they weren’t able to say goodbye to anyone, and nobody’s coming to save them. i actually like the drama of this scene, it adds a lot of weight to the middle of the movie, but i also absolutely HATE IT because fuuuck. the klokateers!!! i should be desensitized by now because we’ve seen klokateers be killed horribly during the entirety of the show but ugh i guess it never stops hurting. they are people, with lives and hearts. yeah they voluntarily and knowingly become gears to protect and sacrifice their lives for dethklok, but it still hurts to see them die. i get it from a storytelling point, because this makes dethklok more desperate and the viewers fear Salacia and the tribunal a little more, but yeah, i don’t enjoy it :(. also, Murderface running away as he screams “please, get out of my head” broke my heart. we see on the show Crozier going through his own personal hell when Salacia mind-controls him, but Murderface sounds in so much pain when he screams. he sounds so helpless, and knowing Salacia must be having a blast in his mind exploiting every single one of his fears, it’s jarring. idk, Murderface is a dick and has done very stupid things but as i watched this movie i found myself wanting to protect him so many times. maybe he is my baby now, who knows.

i’ll end this part here because one of the most painful portions of the movie is coming and i have so much to say it’s not going to fit here. but behold.

ranking australian survivor winners from least fav to fav 💕

okay i’ve been a fan of this show for as long and i remember and as an aussie i needed to make this post because australian survivor IS THE BEST SURVIVOR no questions asked. we do have some really shitty contestants though so…

okay let’s get into itttt

mark (blood vs water)

ABSOLUTELY NOT

my mother always told me if you don’t have anything nice to say shut your fucking mouth but i’m breaking that rule today

i think mark needs to understand that taking credit for your wife’s moves doesn’t make you a worthy sole survivor

also this man only won because of an incredibly sexist jury, while the final three were all rather weak players, shay was definitely the best of them.

his attitude also just pisses me off, every time he was on screen i had to mentally prepare myself. i’m not saying he wouldn’t be a fine person outside survivor but on it he made me sooooo angry

blood vs water was the worst season in au survivor history so it’s probably not entirely his fault but still

bottom tier

jericho (season 2)

i love his bromance with luke toki but when i look back at this season i have no idea what happened besides the fact that luke was on it so i think that might be an indicator unfortunately

im reading the wiki page to jog my memory and i do remember the cookie jar and that was pretty funny but i just cannot remember anything else for the life of me

kristie (season 1)

i actually love her, i love that she defied the odds and won when no one expected her to and her jury pitch was probably the best in survivor history im ngl.

the only reason she’s this low is compared to other sole survivors on this list, she just lacked any real strategy. i love her but i just love the others more :(

shane (champions vs contenders 1)

anyway she was fun and her winning against sharn at the final tribal council (for the first time) made me giggle a lil i’m ngl

pia (champions vs contenders 2)

yay pia!

her introduction as a famous actress hooked me in immediately, one because i’m interested in acting myself and two because i knew how she could use that to manipulate people, and missgurl, you did that.

she was the first target of those sporty kids on the champions tribe bc she didn’t perform that well in challenges ig? but she dodged that bullet so good for her

then she had a little alliance with luke and janine, i love luke, he’s one of my fav survivor players of all time

her being the target for the first vote then actually winning was some iconic behaviour so good for her!

also she was the first unanimous winner (i think) which is also great for her. pia you’re my queen

liz (heroes vs villains)

my fav queen with the rbf

her alliance with shonee was iconic and i loved how she manipulated george then ended up taking him out

that tribal council where liz plays an idol for shonee and david is like “u sure u wanna do that queen” and she’s like “mhm yep i’m sure mate”

SHARN COULD NEVER (flashbacks to mat rogers being voted out in all stars)

anyway i was happy for her when she won

hayley (brains vs brawn)

the icon of all icons

i love her. i love her game in brains v brawn. what i love more though, is her game in heroes vs villains. i loved her breaking the winners curse and doing really well in the game despite everything

in my opinion, she’s one of the most deserving australian survivor winners. i’m her first season, she won against KING GEORGE, which is a feat and a half in my opinion

and she’s definitely the perfect mix between brains and brawn like she’s amazing 💕

david (all stars)

he’s my fav lol

some people dislike the attention he got but i was kinda living for it

him and luke were such a good duo and

i was so mad he got voted out on cvc2 but his comeback was my favourite shit ever

also him beating sharn made me giggle

anyways i love the golden god and he is forever famous, i love how he came into survivor for revenge and ended up winning the whole fucking thing

he’s also one of my celebrity crushes like i love this man

he’s so evil and i love a good evil winner so GOOD FOR HIM!!!!!

Now I’m Gonna hit you with a barrage of names (cuz i’m curious) so get your fingers on that keyboard ready! Ryujehong, Miro, Tobi, Fleta, Surefour, Taimou, Jjonak, Fissure, Carpe, Profit, Shadowburn, and Poko!

Ryujehong

Alright, boys, hands down. Jehong was the reason I got into OWL to begin with. He was the first pro I looked up to because his Ana is so amazing. Seriously, I absolutely love his Ana. His performance on Lunatic-Hai was also great, so yeah. I was actually a little surprised to see that he’s a little bit like the team dad for Dynasty (mostly bc he’s the oldest member if I remember correctly- and bc he’s the team captain)! Honestly, I’m actually a little bit conflicted which golden weapon I should get next since I kinda want D.Va’s golden weapons (because of Mickie) but at the same time also want Ana’s rifle because of Jehong.

Miro

Honestly, I may or may not prefer Kuki to him. I might actually prefer Kuki to all of Dynasty’s tank players but nonetheless, I love me some Miro plays. Miro has a really lovable face, actually. It screams “Winston player” for some reason and I really don’t mean it in a bad way. I just look at him and go “Yeah, that man looks like he plays the monkey.” He’s extremely fun to watch but on the other hand I probably have a short list of tank players in the league that I find even more enjoyable to spectate, one of them being Fissure- but we’ll get to Fissure later, haha.

Tobi

I loved seeing him play Mercy in stage 1. I know, he’s known to be a Lúcio (and Torb) main and that he wasn’t all too comfortable on the Mercy. I’m happy that he gets to play his frog man more now. Supports are usually my favorite players on any team, and that statement is very true when it comes to the Seoul Dynasty roster. I hope Tobi will still see as much playtime as he does right now after Gambler can actually play on stage, though. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Tobi posts a lot of aesthetically pleasing selfies on his Instagram. Just a fun fact, lmao.

Fleta

Pew pew! Fleta on that Widow. Fleta on that Genji. Fleta on that– this guy, man. This guy just pops off all the time. Hero pool? Enormous. Quality of gameplay? Damn high. I respect Fleta for being such an amazing DPS player. Puts him on my list of favorite players in general even though he doesn’t play my favored role. I get so see him play so much during the matches (due to the stream usually showing DPS players more than others) and hell, boy. He never disappoints me.

Surefour

Hair game too strong, man. I like Surefour but again, DPS players aren’t really my cup of tea. He got me rooting for the Gladiators alongside Bischu and Hydration but honestly, I’m sometimes a little bit “eh” on him. I don’t know.

Taimou

Ugh, Taimou. Not a fan of him. One of the reasons I had restraints to support the Fuel. He often came off as toxic in the past but as I see things at the moment, he’s bettered himself. Gives me hope that xQc will also find a way to make life easier for a Dallas Fuel fan because as of right now I feel inclined to keep my support for the team way more subtle than I want it to be. Regardless of his personality, I have to respect his Widowmaker because hooooonestly, I respect every Widow player in the league. Those guys could snipe me from across the map lmao.

Jjonak

One of my favorite support players (even though he’s second to Ark on NYXL) especially on Zenyatta. He makes solid plays, does a great job supporting his team and that’s about it. Jjonak definitely gets the “Toki fucking loves support players” bonus.

Fissure

FISSURE MY BABY– LA Gladiators don’t deserve him. He is SO FUCKING GOOD. Did you see his moves in the last Dynasty vs Gladiators match? He definitely got the short end when he got transfered from Spitfire. First he doesn’t get playtime on a team he used to play with for so fucking long and then he has to go to one of the objectively worse teams there are? I understand that he wasn’t happy about that transfer. He deserved better.

Carpe

Carpe is probably the best ladder player in the world but doesn’t seem too comfortable in a pro league setting. It happens, man. I still love seeing him play. He is- admittedly- one of two players for whom I actually sit down and watch the Fusion matches.

Profit

Profit’s plays fucking pay me, alright? He’s not only cute but also extremely skilled and he’s my favorite player on Spitfire only second to Birdring (well, he was my 3rd most favorite player on Spitfire when Rascal was still on the team). It takes a lot for me to prefer DPS over support players but damn, keep it up, man.

Shadowburn

In context of the Seagull ask I answered, Shadowburn is my preferred Genji player. I was probably only more drawn to him because of his edgy as fuck name but he is actually really charming. I adore his playstyle and his love for dogs. Seeing him smile for once makes me feel happy, to be fucking honest because Shadowburn is like the master of pokerfaces. I hold him in high regards and I really hope his team will do great things.

Poko

Gotta catch them all, Poko-mon. Great D.Va player. His ult game is way too strong, dude. Like, c’mon. The way he places his ults is fucking goals and you know it. You know it. Other than that, I don’t have a strong opinion on him. He just exists in my mind somewhere.

A/N: hey i written in uhh 1000 years and i just binged metalocolypse on hbomax which apparently unlocked something in me. this fic takes place immediately following fertilityklok because I’ve had a weird amount of experience talking to men who want but for some reason can’t/don’t have children and watching Toki worry about it gave me feelings i just wanted someone to kiss him and tell him he was okay:( so he turned down the woman in the ep, went home and fucked, wakes up and doesn’t actually feel that much better so drinking, smoking, not being understood by his bandmates, leads to going somewhere else to drink, and that’s where we are. i also like the idea that the band members have slutted around so often that even blitz drunk, they’d still be quick and nimble in the sack

“Y/N, can you come to my office, please?” Charles’s voice came through your cell phone.

You had the phone pressed to your cheek, despite the spikes digging into your shoulder, as you pulled on a pair of socks. When you saw Charles calling you, it was almost always to request you come to his office for a task so it was second nature to get dressed when his name popped up. “Of course, sir.” His thanks were short before the line clicked off and you were left alone to finish getting ready.

Scooting past a masked employees leaving Charles’s office, you stood in front of your boss and nodded when he met your eye over the documents on his desk. “Y/N, thank you for coming. We’ve got a small situation I’m hoping we can keep small.” Your brow furrowed as he picked up his phone and start swiping through it.

“What’s the matter, sir?” you asked.

Charles held up a finger, continuing to swipe until he finally clicked a button and a whaling voice suddenly filled the room.

“Whys is this happening to mes, iS AMS I UGLIES?! Ams I- Ma’am, MA’AMS, AMS I UGLI-“

The silence that followed Charles pausing the recording was deafening. “Um, was that-“

“Toki, yes,” Charles cut you off. “He’s currently at the Drunken Skunk and is living up to the name. I need you to go collect him as discreetly as possible.” As though that was all the information you needed, Charles began looking over the paperwork in front of him again.

You sighed quietly, you hated how little you got told about your tasks since they always spiraled into some kind of crazy mess when the members of Dethklok were involved, but Charles wasn’t one to question. “Yes, sir. Consider it done.”

You turned on your heel and began to head out but when your hand touched the doorknob, Charles spoke again. “Oh, and Y/N? Be careful. Toki has been sensitive since his birthday. Tread carefully.”

Brow furrowed again, you glanced back but Charles was already looking away, eyes on his documents. You wondered what he meant but as always, better not to question him. Stepping into the hallway, you let his office door swing shut behind you as you headed into the night.

The Drunken Skunk was a dingy little bar on the edge of downtown whose usual crowd were streetwalkers and weary men, so it wasn’t crazy that Toki had decided to come here but as you drove closer and closer, you were surprised how dingy it in fact was. It was cheek to cheek with the industrial district, had an empty printing shop on one side, and a storefront covered in plywood on the other. You parked in front of the boarded-up shop and did a quick check on all sides for sketchy characters before you stepped out of the car.

The bar was choked with cigarette smoke, and the stench of stale alcohol and vomit. You frowned, standing in the door while you scanned the dirty room until your eyes fell on a heaving form slumped across the bar. Toki.

His long hair was draped over his shoulders and hung down his back, quivering slightly with each heave. It seemed like he was crying, his head buried in his arms. “AMS I UGLIES?” rang in your ears again and your frown softened. You weren’t sure what had happened, but you had noticed he’d been… off since his birthday.

You had thought it was related to the fake kidnapping that kicked off the party- a horrific and idiotic idea you had spoken out against and were immediately told by Nathan not to be a bitch about- but even that wouldn’t lead to the question of if he was ugly. Would it? The Dethklok members were strange. Five lives full of tragedy and unprocessed trauma all packed into the most popular band in the world made for an uneasy balance in the workplace and living quarters. You were skilled at navigating it when you had to clear up the messes, but you were hardly ever around for the inciting event so it was always tricky to understand how it all connected.

You approached cautiously and made sure to make a little noise so you wouldn’t spook him. If he heard you, he showed no reaction, so you perched on the bar stool beside him. “Hey, Toki?”

The guitarist lifted his head finally and his red rimmed eyes were bleary when they met yours. “Y/N? Whats is *hic* you doings heres?” His voice was hoarse and thick with tears, a few of which were clinging to his eyelashes and glittered in the dim light. It made his grey-blue eyes shine and your breath caught in your throat. You had to admit, Toki was your favorite member of the band and it had little to do with his musical talent. You weren’t one for metal much anyway.

What drew you to Toki was first his appearance. Back when you were just applying for a position at the record company behind Dethklok, he’d caught your eye on the poster in the lobby. Long hair on men was something of a turn-on and his piercing gaze struck a chord inside you. His angular face and extremely fit build made him one of the hottest members in your opinion but on top of all of that, he was a sweetheart. That wasn’t written on the poster, of course, it was something you’d discovered about a week after you started when he was the only person besides Charles to take the time to learn your name and point your in the right direction. You wouldn’t say you were close but you had a causal friendship, just right for making light conversation during elevator rides and not much else.

“I’m here for you, Toki,” you replied, trying to master a tone that was both soft and cheery. “I came to take you home.”

“Takes me… No! I wants to stay heres. I-I-” His bottom lip started to quiver as he spoke but you put a hand on his shoulder.

“Hey, hey, relax, Toki. It’s just late and I think it’d be good for us to get you into bed,” you gave him a small smile, trying to coax his drunken mind into listening to you. He might be slim but if he tried to fight you on leaving, you’d have your hands full. Maybe you should’ve asked for an escort…

Toki slumped on the bar again with a huff before sliding off his stool towards you, prompting you to hop up quickly to catch him as he stumbled to his feet. He was heavy with alcohol and leaning on you to keep steady, so trudging to the door became a task. Despite having at least half a foot on you, his face was nestling further and further in your hair until you could feel his breath on the back of your neck.

You could feel your cheeks warming but it wasn’t until you got out the door, opened the back of the car, and loaded Toki halfway in that you really had a reason to blush.

“Y/N, ams I uglies?” Toki asked suddenly, looking up at you from under his lashes. He only had his butt on the edge of the car’s bench seat, looking at you with his face inches from yours, and fresh tears welling in his eyes.

Your eyes widened and your blush raged in full. Working around the object of your affection, even when that work was dragging him out of a shitty bar, was easy enough. Being asked directly about it by him was a whole other thing. Swallowing against the sudden knot in your throat, you decided to be honest and lightly shook your head. “No, Toki, not at-“

Anything and everything else you might be about to say was thrown out the window because the moment you said no, Toki launched forward. One hand on your hip, he lifted the other to your shoulder and pulled you to him lightening fast, his mouth finding yours with a squish. In his drunken state, he was a little sloppy at first but his skill began to show itself. His tongue traced the dip between your lips as he pulled you against his chest, your head fogging when he nipped your bottom lip. It was finally enough to coax your mouth open and Toki took full advantage of that fact, squeezing your hip as his other hand, warm and calloused, slipped around your neck and held you to him. Electricity jumped through you when his tongue met yours, twirling together for a moment before he moved on to exploring your mouth with a greedy moan.

“Wa-wait,” you mumbled around his lips. This was moving too fast, or maybe the fact it was happening at all was what was making you feel overwhelmed in the moment. It took everything in you to pull away, a solid percentage of your mind screaming at you to continue, to let Toki think he had control of the situation and see how far you could get with him. But you couldn’t. He was drunk and clearly something was bothering him enough to drink in the first place. You needed to just get him home. Plus if you did anything with Toki, you’d like for him to remember it, too. “Toki, wait.”

Your eyes met his just in time to watch his face crumple. The only way to describe his expression was pure heartbreak. The disappearance of his hands on your body made you miss the weight of them instantly but you hardly noticed, watching him melt right in front of you.

“I ams uglies, I knews it! I knews it!” Desperate and broken, his voice turned your stomach. His shaky hands found his hair and he began tugging on the ends, seemingly unaware of the motion. “No ones will loves me, I’ms hideous, I wills never find love! I wills never finds the mother ofs my childrens!”

While you had been paralyzed with bewilderment, his last sentence only compounded your confusion but brought you back into the moment enough to move again. Toki had cringed away from you, burying his face in the back of the passenger seat while still tugging on his hair, and you hurriedly heaved his long legs into the footwell before shutting the door and jogging around to the other side.

Even sealed in the car, you could hear his drunken crying. It twisted your heart but still, the mother of his children? Is that what he thought of you? Your blush burned your cheeks once more but you shook the thought off. He must’ve been crying about this when he left that voicemail for Charles. But what had happened?

Opening the back door on the other side, you slipped inside and snapped the door closed behind you. Toki seemed worse than before, now holding his face in his hands and heaving with small sobs. “Whats is it, Y/N? Whats makes me so uglies? I can change! I has monies, I can change!”

You furrowed your brows and put a hand on his arm, scooting closer to him. “Toki, you’re not ugly.” Quicker than you expected, his head snapped towards you.

“Then whys do you not likes to kiss me?” His lip started to quiver and you expected another outburst but his eyes stayed locked on you, expecting an answer.

Your mouth was dry and you scrambled for an answer that would keep him from crying again. How had you ended up here? Eyes darting around the car, you quickly mumbled, “I do, I liked the kiss! I jus-“

Once again, the Dethklok guitarist moved faster than you thought in his state. His hands found your face and pulled you up to him, putting you nose to nose with the lanky musician. His eyes were bloodshot and rimmed red from tears but it only exacerbated how bright his stormy irises were. You felt nervous and excited and tingly all over from being held so close and you hardly dared to breathe. Hypnotized by his gaze, you couldn’t bring yourself to look away. “Thens kiss me,” he murmured in a throaty voice. It made you shiver and lust began to haze your thoughts, the previous kiss still so fresh in your mind when his lips found yours again.

Slowly this time- painfully, delightfully slowly- Toki kissed you. His hands nearly covered the sides of your head as he held you in place, his lips closed while he kissed you once, twice, three times before deepening it. You let him without hesitation, heat coiling in your stomach. Of course, the thought of breaking the kiss occurred to you but with every motion of his, that thought got further and further away. Toki’s tongue slipped past your lips again and he gently stroked over yours as he made his way around your mouth. You returned the kiss with fervor, trying to match his speed to keep him close as long as possible.

One hand on top of his over your cheek, you let your other wander. His knee pressing into your thigh, then up the outside of his leg to rest on his hip and give it a squeeze. He moaned in your mouth and your body responded in kind, your own moan escaping as the heat in your belly moved south. When his free hand fisted in your hair and tugged, you wondered if maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if Toki didn’t remember your hookup. Hell, maybe it would keep things from getting awkward at work?

Skwisgaar’s best guitar solo blared through the vehicle, interrupting your mental plan to get the man in front of you undressed. It was your phone, ringing out from your back pocket, and you knew without looking that it was Charles. He tended to check status on the jobs he gave people, especially when they went alone, as the Dethklok members seemed to have a way of making mountains out of molehills and then exploding the mountain into a bunch of fiery chunks raining from the sky.

Toki hadn’t stopped kissing you. If anything, he seemed more desperate, his hands falling to your shoulders and tugging at your shirt. But you straightened up and caught his large wrists to still him. Pulling away, your lips tingled and you had to blink a few times to gather yourself. “I have to get that, hang on.” Your voice was hoarse and you cleared it twice as you pulled the phone from your pocket and selected ‘Answer’. Toki huffed but he seemed much more relaxed compared to the last interruption, leaning back against the seat and putting his large hand on your thigh with his eyes closed.

“Hello?” you asked, still trying to steady your voice.

“Y/N, any updates?” Charles bluntly asked back.

You cleared your throat again and replied, “Everything’s going well, I just got Toki in the car,” the guitarist squeezed your leg at the sound of his name, “and we’re about to head back home.” The thought of leaving the back seat, of having to drive with the fruity taste of whatever he’d been drinking still on your tongue and the memory of his hands on you front and center in your mind, nearly made you groan aloud but you held yourself back.

“Good, good. Knew you could handle it.” *click*

Just like that, Charles had broken the heady mood and hung up in under a minute. You sighed, knowing what the right thing to do was and knowing exactly what you wanted to do instead. As if reading your thoughts, Toki spoke, “Wes don’t has to leaves yet, does we?”

“We does,” you replied playfully, trying to convince yourself of that fact. It wasn’t often that you wished for another job, one where you could be a groupie, act a little slutty, and turn one of your daydreams into a reality. But this was one of those times. However, people got fired- or killed- at work for less and you wouldn’t have even gotten into Dethklok if it weren’t for your job.

Toki sighed, squeezing your thigh again and holding it for a moment. Glancing at him, you’re eyes scanned his face thoroughly. His eyes were closed and his head was tilted back on the headrest, giving you an eyeful of his neck and throat. He had the slightest stubble growing and as you watched, he gulped, making his Adam’s apple bounce. You wanted to remember this moment, every detail, as though that would make it last longer. While you were looking, he opened his eyes and caught yours.

“But you liked to kissing mes?” he asked, his voice more nervous than you’d heard all night. “You thinks I’ms is handsome?”

You hesitated before concluding the cat was fully out of the bag on this one and nodded. “I liked kissing you and I think you’re handsome, Toki. If you asked, I might even say you’re hot as fuck.”

Toki beamed at you, nudging you with his knee. He seemed too tired to move as fast as he was in the heat of the moment but he reached to put his hand on your hip and squeezed. “Okies, you cans drives us home. We is goings to my room,” you blushed but he continued without notice, “we cans talk, I ams asking you questions, it is ams dates.”

Oh boy. Starting with skwistok. Yes yes yes of course I ship it- they are my OTP heh

What made me start shipping it... just all their natural chemistry in the show- there are sooo many good moments showcasing their dynamic and i just got hooked on that before ever being exposed to any of the fandom. Which is why i was overjoyed to learn that skwistok is really popular!

Favorite things about the ship? God too many i cant list them all. Ofc I absolutely love their dynamic (and all the different facets of it) I also love the angsty unhealthy parts of it- the way skwis needs to keep toki 'below' him bc of his own insecurity but also wants him to flourish, their whole soulmate-y 'two guitarists put on this earth to be together and create music together' and instant overflowing musical chemistry with the duel and their whole call and response stuff. Love tokis complex feelings for skwisgaar, the way he is so deeply envious and resentful of him but also worships and loves him- love the way all that manifests in bookklok and seeing just how much hes getting off at finally being 'on top' of skwisgaar. The way skwisgaar so deeply cares for him and expresses it in his own subtle ways and of course the absolute panic and fear when he rushed to try and save tokis life when he thought he was having a heart attack. I love the versatility in their dynamic, how both of them are/can be more dominant or more submissive in different contexts, how both of them can play the role of caretaker/comforting the other. Of course I also love how similar their origin stories are, two sad lil Scandinavian boys traumatized by their shitty parents. Man im just gonna cut it off here because I don't want this to get too long lmao

My unpopular opinions? I guess kind of one that I have is that I actually think maybe skwisgaar deserves a tiny bit more flack than he usually gets when it comes to how he treated toki haha and I'm saying this as a HUGE skwisgaar fan of course. Oh actually one unpopular opinion that I'm kind of reluctant to share 😅 is that I don't think toki was all THAT out of line in the bookklok episode. I know you would love to run him over with a zamboni 😂 and respect and understand that ofc haha

Ok now nategaar!

I started shipping it very lowkey from the beginning tbh and its honestly just bc initially i was like hey i like the design of this black haired guy and this blonde guy- time to slap them together. But that was kind of it until later on when I started to more seriously like it.

What do I like about it? I'm not a huge diehard nategaar fan so I haven't done all that much thinking about them and their dynamic but I love that together they can be very chill n mellow together snd can share comfortable silences. They understand each other and share the same musical vision and chemistry and their music is not the same with the other person's component- nates vocals just aren't complete without skwisgaars guitar and skwisgaars guitar just isn't complete without nates vocals.

Don't rly have any unpopular opinions for them.

My opinions on murderface's and tokis relationship.

I feel like when toki first joined the band. Murderface was upset/jealous that he wasn't the youngest anymore. Not only could he not use being the youngest as a excuse for his bad behavior or lack of skill anymore. But something about being the baby made him feel special. But as time went on, the two had this weird little sibling energy to them. Murderface always having a dumb plan and drags toki along with him, while toki just...does it. He has no push back or anything, he just joins him.

Ex: season 3 episode 7 when murderface & toki sued dethklok even though toki didn't care at all or wasn't even serious about it.

Season 3 episode 6 Toki goes to murderface for advice first when having trouble with that unattractive woman eladymates set him up with. Even though murderface has 0 experience with women, toki still went to him first. (I also feel like murderface would've helped him if he wasn't dealing with the bet he made with Skwisgaar.)

They have the same maturity level (imo) don't get me wrong everyone in dethklok is immature and not the brightest but toki and murderface have this layer of childish additude and innocence. (Murderface's immaturity reminds me more of of a pre teen who thinks they're old and mature but they still have a lot of growing to do.)

Ex: remember after him and toki got kicked out from the band he was talking about how he was a cop that 'took things to far'? 🤣 (Just childish imagination)

Even though toki and murderface don't have the closet relationship, the show shows little slivers of them being closer than what outsiders may think.

Examples

Season 1 episode 3 Toki made murderface noodle art of a lady for his birthday.

Season 1 episode 15 Toki was the only one that really put thought into a gift for murderface after he got sent to the hospital. While everyone gave him a bass or something he already owned, toki went out, used his own money (or Pickles who knows), and tried to give murderface something that would make him feel better. (I may be over exaggerating but, it's a head cannon post what are you doing to do?) Season 3 episode 5 Toki got mad when he was spending his time being a father to Skwisgaar instead of him. (Not as much as Pickles but still hurt)

Season 3 episode 2 Murderface sounded genuinely disappointed when toki was lying about astronot camp. Telling people about him going (like a proud big brother) Even if murderface was telling people to try to seem cool for knowing a 'soon to be astronot'. He still sounded and acted really disappointed. Season 4 episode 1 Murderface influences toki to smoke cigarettes. He's never been interested in cigarettes or any drugs at all for that matter till murderface started smoking because it looked cool.

Season 4 episode 11 Toki could've done anything while the band was breaking up but instead he decided to be murderface's assistant. And murderface trusted him to help him become governor even though he's been burned before from trusting toki.

Ex:Season 3 episode 7: toki didn't sign the papers properly making him and murderface get nothing for all their hard work. Murderface literally cleaned up puke, threatened out of more money than he wanted to give, and had to deal with assholes bigger than him.

He got so screwed over in that episode but even after all that, he still trusted toki to help him with serious tasks that affects him in the end. Not toki, but him.

(Also toki has done some shitty things to murderface if he deserved it or not. Like how he beat the shit out of him or when he claimed the name planet piss to embarrasse murderface by making a beastiality website with his name and face. Toki is pretty horrible to him but murderface still trusts him)

The little dethklok videos of the guys in the closet naming bands.

Murderface being highly impressed with toki naming so many bands in a row. Even trying to do it himself after toki lost track.

That's all I could think of, probably more little stuff like in the comics, or in the show I haven't noticed.

But yea I like to think murderface and toki have a decent bond, they'd probably be closer and have more of a youngest members rivalry if toki wasn't already occupied with Skwisgaar.

They're the babies of the band so they have to stick together.

Just a side note: this doesn't have to be strictly seen as a 'sibling dynamic' that's just the best way for me to explain the two's relationship. This can be used for any relationship dynamic you want to see the two in. (Platonic, romantic, ect, whatever.)

First impression: Well let’s have a gander at THIS tall glass of water! (I’ll be honest I don’t remember a lot of my first impressions for the main bois 2007 was a long time ago and I only have so many braincells.)

Impression now: My Large Son. My Big Boy. My Absolute Unit. My Incredible Indestructible Lad. I love you.

Favorite moment: “Therefore! We are bleach.” “I fucking LOVE my dad.” “I’m eaTING CHIPS!!!” “WE CAN’T DO ANYTHING RIGHT!!!!!” Really any moment when he yells. Also all of Fatherklok he was the ONLY one who was genuinely looking out for Skwisgaar’s well-being hashtag Nategaar rights.

Idea for a story: 10,000 half-formed Nategaar WIPs fall out of my briefcase The WAIWAD spin-off, where Pre-Klok Nathan and Skwisgaar attend an Explosion Family BBQ, is the one getting most of my attention right now and will likely get published first. The Nategaar Manifesto looms over me like the blade of a guillotine. I’ve also always wanted to write a story about Nathan when he was a little kid, when Rose tries to patch things up between Nathan and the kid bullying him. (It ends with Rose keying the shitty kid’s shitty mom’s car.)

Unpopular opinion: Not sure how unpopular this one us but uhhhhhhhh his behavior towards Abigail in Dethdinner sucks! It sucks so bad! There is no coming back from that for me! Also I only recently realized this but I have such a strong negative reaction to Nathan and Abigail as a couple because I’ve also had a colleague repeatedly call me his girlfriend at a professional event where I was just trying to do my job. My situation was much lower stakes (it was my first article for the regional magazine where I worked and he was the assigned photographer who thought getting me riled up was “funny,” not an extremely important dinner party with the highest-ranking professionals in my field) but it sucked really bad dudes! Hated it! I do think Nathan and Abigail will wind up friends but he’s got a LOT of work ahead of him to get there.

Favorite relationship: Nathan/Toki JKJK it’s Nategaar ha ha fooled you! What a prank! I also love his and Pickles’s friendship a lot. And he and Charles are very fun together too.

Favorite headcanon: He’s very well-read! I also saw someone give a HC that he likes to read out loud and will read to the guys whenever they ask and I love that and I’m stealing it.

Pickles/Skwisgaar: ★★★★★ aesthetically very excellent, both have had the most band-related experience so they could navigate a relationship together, pickles rolls with skwis’ ego really well, skwis could really build pickles' ego up in return

Pickles/Murderface: ★★★★★ heavy on the mom/dad dynamic but from a shitty sitcom where you know the mom would realistically have murdered the dad but for some reason she gets off on his complete and utter stupidity. also for some reason this is aesthetically satisfying

Nathan/Abigail/Pickles: ★★★★★ this would have been the best, most metal choice for canon to make, but of course as usual we are denied a perfect ot3 in the face of the dreaded "love triangle" trope

Murderface/Knubbler: ★★★★★ perfect mf ship with intense dead mall aesthetics. power dynamics are within acceptable parameters. knubbler calls mf babe and i swoon every time.

Toki/Murderface: ★★★★★ extremely good, ineptitudes blend together into one perfectly stupid relationship, aesthetically appealing to me. two chaotic dumbasses falling in lust and then realizing that their lust for one another is a lot like a relationship

Toki/Rockso: ★★★★★ i refuse to take criticism for this but i will accept how right i am

Nathan/Toki: ★★★★ solid parental figure for toki, balance of respect, both of them are literal children so that's fun, i think they would have great dates and also nathan could use toki to soften his edges

Abigail/Nathan: ★★★★ it's canon but i won't hold that against them this time around. pretty good aesthetically, like a better nathan/charles in dynamics, but it will never be as perfect as it could be

Nathan/Skwisgaar: ★★★★ relatively balanced, but combative egos would drive them crazy. great fwb, amazing aesthetics, you KNOW pickles has jerked off fantasizing about it at least once

Nathan/Charles: ★★★★ i don't ship charles with any of the boys tbh because he needs an adult, not a manchild, but nathan is a good balance for him. charles brings out his maturity, and they have an equal power dynamic that works

Pickles/Toki: ★★★★ lots of fun together, pickles is a great mentor type, basically nathan/toki but with a mom reskin

Pickles/Charles: ★★★★ my unpopular opinion stands but i consistently see only good art of this pairing so i accept it

Skwisgaar/Murderface: ★★★★ similar aesthetics to toki/mf but with way more degradation kink (probably not the way you’d think)

Seth/Magnus: ★★★★ i'm looking directly and meaningfully at @trashvarietyhour here. this is the nega-nathan/pickles ship and the sharp and pointy aesthetic is out of this world here

Skwisgaar/Charles: ★★★ i have never seen this one before and honestly i have no opinion on it. skwis is probably the only one who i could comprehend charles boning and that’s only b/c skwis uses sex like a handshake, but as a ship? ignore/skp

Seth/Amber: ★★★ we never got to know amber so i don't want to give her a bunch of credit but i feel like we had a chance for another strong female character so i'll include it here. amber always gets sidelined so i guess we just need to see more of her

Toki/Charles: ★★ what is this, lolita by vladimir nabokov???

Abigail/Pickles: ★★ pickles canonically just wanted to bone her and the whole triangle thing was dumb, sorry pickles but you should've waited until her vibrator died to make a move

Toki/Skwisgaar: ★★ two stars b/c on my 10th+ rewatch i have decided that this ship is somewhat understandable in s1 but ugh, ugh, boring boring boring!!!! absolutely the white bread ship of the fandom, fine if you wanna polyklok it but otherwise yawnsville

Nathan/Murderface: ★★ nathan seems to actively dislike MF but their bromance is a full 5 stars thanks to dsr. not pleasing aesthetically. they can fuck in a bar bathroom with broken lights but that's about it

Abigail/Knubbler: ★ abigail would have to have a full fucking breakdown to look at knubbler and think "actually…"

...i wrote a better post that tumblr destroyed but anyway i think i Just missed metalocalypse discourse hours but my 2 cents on toki:

toki had the worst childhood by a longshot at levels i think can be classified as torture, which explains his bad behavior when hes pushed to intolerable levels, and even then he keeps that under wraps a LOT better than i think id expect otherwise, and say what you will but i honestly think this point alone makes me really sympathetic to him and makes up for what is, at worst, bratty entitled behavior (and killing that one guy, but considering the death toll in the mtl universe, i also dont think thats that big of a deal)

i think being part of dethklok which is so tremendously good and spoiling compared to his shitty childhood did make him a lot more entitled and specifically i definitely agree on every level about his beef w skwisgaar being like 90% his own fault (as a sidebar, i do think skwisgaar is really good and did nothing wrong, in general) but i really dont find toki to be significantly worse of a person than any other member of dethklok, in fact:

maybe a controversial opinion but i dont think toki is malicious or sadistic at all, in a “normal” state hes really quite sweet and softhearted, regarding the way he treats animals and children, and his friends too! (my brains a little scrambled but off the top of my head the first example i can think of is the chicken nuggets lol)

also, as a personal aside, a big bonus reason i love toki a lot is because i relate to the “cute and sweet”/”preoccupation w violence” dichotomy somewhat in that i feel like i really understand having internal fucked up tendencies due to trauma (disclaimer mine not nearly as bad as toki's tho), and just having these inner demons but personally wanting to quash that and be happy and enjoy your life as much as possible and spread happiness, maybe doing so by taking solace in innocent, cute, cuddly things and thats good; my point here is that i don't like or agree with posts that make him out to be like secretly evil or fucked up he just has trauma lol

in conclusion: toki isnt infallible but actually hes good

hmpffff again I love Pickles to fucking bits but I don’t think I’d marry the guy. I can admit he is garbage and I love him for that but, tbh, I’d go with Nathan or Abigail. How I feel about this character:

So much. I feel so much about Charlie? He’s such a real person dealing with something he knows is so much bigger than him and he’s good at what he does and there had to have been so many personal sacrifices to get him to where he is now and he’s not super well rounded canonically but what I love about his character is that its not hard to think of him as a well rounded person because the base we have is so natural to work off of??? If that makes sense? Like he’s not an outlandish character he feels genuine and grounded and real like, I could meet him in person irl and he would fit in with the universe. He’s such a grounding character and the main reason MTL can, at all at any point, feel like it could be possible.
