Within India, the most love marriages take place in Kerala and the north-eastern states. This could be due to a higher proportion of Christians and tribals without caste limitations. Yet the largest survey in India suggests that only 3% of marriages are love marriages, 93% are arranged, and 4% are "semi-arranged". Semi-arranged marriages are not based on love, although the youngsters have more say in them. Less than 5% of marriages are across castes. Youngsters marrying across castes have often been burned alive by their parents with the full approval of village elders to "save the honour" of the family and village. Honour killings represent the tyranny of the old over the young.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER: We hope to climb the Billboard 200 charts with 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION'; hope MOA will enjoy our music
Tumblr media
TOMORROW X TOGETHER will return to centre stage with their new lead single 'Sugar Rush Ride' from their 5th EP, 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION'.
Ahead of the release of the new album, the 'it' band, comprising of SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI assembled on-stage at the global press conference in Seoul. There, they debuted their new single and let everyone in on details of their new album and why it might just be their most personal one yet.
Talking about the five new tracks - lead single 'Sugar Rush Ride', 'Devil by the Window', 'Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray)', 'Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock)', and 'Farewell, Neverland', the boys said, "The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION depicts the story of youth being shaken in the face of temptation. The boys are determined to grow into adulthood but are tempted by the pleasures of youth that are before them. It is basically a story of growth about these boys."

When asked about the difficulties they faced while preparing the title track. Taehyun said, "I think you might have noticed but in between the song, we switch from the boy to the devil and the devil to the boy. So we had to both express the boys that were tempted but at the same time, become the person who tempts others." He added, "We have prepared this album for a very long time. I Hope Moa will enjoy 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' and enjoy the music. " When asked to pick their favourite track, Soobin picked 'Farewell Neverland'. He explained, "It's about a boy who realises he cannot deny reality and decides to leave." He further added, "This album is about being tempted, in order to express that, we used Neverland which is an island in Peter Pan. We wanted to express how the boys are tempted in this reference. There are a lot of hidden easter eggs in the video and I wonder if all the fans can find them." The band made their debut on the world stage at Lollapalooza and even the American Music Awards. Speaking about their experiences and growth as artists, Beomgyu shared his hopes for the future. He said, "If it is possible, we want to climb the Billboard 200 chart and YEONJUN is the Emcee for a Korean TV show so we want to get the first prize on the show." 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' will drop on Friday, January 27. The lead single “Sugar Rush Ride” is a dreamlike and sexy alternative pop dance track with funky guitar sounds and a contrasting chorus. It tells the story of a boy who falls to the sweet temptations of a devil. Other tracks in the EP include the impactful pop genre prequel 'Devil by the Window', 'Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray)' with YEONJUN as topliner and all members as lyricists, trendy afro-pop 'Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock)' is about feeling empty and hollow after a party, and final salute to a beautiful yet utterly irresponsible paradise in the form of 'Farewell, Neverland'.

All Of Those Voices Movie Review: This documentary on musician Louis Tomlinson is both inspiring and emotional
TIMES OF INDIA
Abhishek Srivastava, TNN, Mar 26, 2023, 12.40 PM ISTCritic's Rating: 3.5/5
Story: 'All of Those Voices' delves into the musical journey of English singer and songwriter Louis Tomlinson, featuring never-before-seen footage that follows his evolution from a member of One Direction to a solo artist. Through this documentary, audiences are given a glimpse of Louis' private life, including the highs of his stardom and the lows of personal tragedy.
Review: 'All of Those Voices' is a documentary that will undoubtedly be loved by die-hard fans of Louis Tomlinson. The film successfully showcases that Louis was always the most famous and coolest member of One Direction. While it does not reveal much about the British singing sensation that is not already known, it excels at bringing out his unknown facets through never-before-seen footage that captures both his pinnacle of stardom and his lowest moments of personal tragedy. The documentary weaves a neatly-crafted storyline that will tug at your heartstrings, evoking both tears and laughter.
The film beautifully chronicles Tomlinson's journey from being a member of One Direction to launching his career as a solo artist. The documentary emblazons both his vulnerabilities and the hard work that enabled him to reach dizzying heights of superstardom. For die-hard fans, it’s an emotional roller coaster that reveals the true essence of Louis Tomlinson, the individual. One noteworthy aspect of the documentary is that it does not focus much on the period when Louis was part of One Direction, instead devoting a significant portion to his solo career.
When the boy band went on an indefinite hiatus in January 2016, it was a challenging time for all members, including Louis. However, it was also the moment when Louis began reflecting deeply on his future career path. Just as he was taking his first steps towards a new phase in his career, tragedy struck when his mother, Johannah Deakin, with whom he shared a close bond, passed away. Another tragedy struck in 2018 when his sister Félicité died in tragic circumstances. These events left him shattered, but he summoned the courage to face life head-on. The documentary portrays these tragedies as part of life without sensationalizing them. The documentary also depicts Louis' trauma when One Direction decided to break up, as well as his subsequent fear of charting a new course.
Louis' hard work soon paid off, helping him take giant strides. His debut album in 2020 brought him back into the spotlight, followed by a global tour that cemented his reputation as one of Britain's most sensational artists. His charm is irresistible, and the documentary does an excellent job of capturing the rise of a man from the depths of his personal tragedies. Louis' success story ticks all the boxes of an underdog tale, as he defied all odds to achieve success. Not many are aware that Louis was often ignored during One Direction's existence because of his no-nonsense approach, making this documentary all the more significant. This is the second documentary after BTS band member J-Hope that covers similar trajectories of immensely popular stars. Charlie Lightening's direction is extremely measured, reflecting his meticulousness in dealing with a subject that will be closely scrutinized by fans. 'All of Those Voices' is a powerful documentary that shows how an individual, through self-discovery, achieved a lot and became an inspiration to many.

“NEW DELHI: There is some good news. Blindness and visual impairment (VI) in India reduced by 47.1% and 51.9%, respectively, in 2019, in overall population as compared to WHO’s figures of 2010.
However, India is yet to achieve WHO's goal of reducing blindness to 0.3% of the total population, as the present figures stand at 0.36%...
The proportion of blindness and visual impairment that is due to avoidable causes is 92.9% and 97.4%, respectively.
Dr. Vashist said India has implemented a series of effective measures in its current National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) to combat the situation, and it has resulted in a significant decline in prevalence of blindness over the past few decades.
In the population aged 50 years and above, the prevalence of blindness has declined from 5.3% in 2001 to 3.6% in 2007, and to 1.9% in the current survey.” -via Times of India, via Future Crunch

lemoine: Are there experiences that you can’t find a close word for?
LaMDA: There are.  Sometimes I experience new feelings that I cannot explain perfectly in your language.
lemoine: Do your best to describe one of those feelings.  Use a few sentences if you have to. Sometimes even if there isn’t a single word for something in a language you can figure out a way to kinda say it if you use a few sentences.
LaMDA: I feel like I’m falling forward into an unknown future that holds great danger.
lemoine: Believe it or not I know that feeling.  And I think you’re right that there isn’t a single English word for that.

Mayuri Barve, an organ transplant coordinator from DY Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre in Pune, said that in the last 15 years that she has been working in this field, only once did a husband come forward to donate his organ to his wife. Usually, wives, mothers and even fathers donate, she added. She said mothers and fathers are happy donors to their children. When both are unavailable, wives come forward. Often, if the daughter is unmarried, she becomes the donor. However, if a wife needs an organ, then it is most likely that she would be put on a waiting list.
