I watched the Mononoke Zashikiwarashi stage play!!
I watched the performances on 03/29 and 03/30, and I have so many Thoughts. But I’m on vacation and haven’t the spoons to draft them up coherently until I return home in a few days.
For now, I'll do a photo/art dump of my experience.
I arrived a few hours early to the theater (I had to take the train from Kyoto to Osaka, and built in time for potential navigational incompetence). While I waited for the theater to open up, cracked open my iPad and started painting in Procreate.
Tumblr media
This is the exterior of Cool Japan Park Osaka's WW Hall. Shaking off a lot of rust from painting from observation, but I'm happy with how the colors came out.
Tumblr media
Photo for reference, though I painted it live. Shadows moved quite a bit while I worked because I am slow.
Tumblr media
This is the interior of the theater. I was forbidden from taking photo and video of this space, so I painted it it, albeit messily because of the short time I had before the performance began.
Winding back time a bit, here's the cardboard cutout stand the theater staff set out right before they started admitting people into the lobby:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a bit windy that day, so it actually snapped in half mere minutes after its installation lmao. Not pictured is the flustered staff tying Mr. Medicine Seller to the railing with some twine.
Selfie taken after the disaster:
Tumblr media
Keeping an eye on Mr. Medicine Seller to ensure he doesn't misbehave agains, prints in hand to be gifted to unsuspecting theater-goers:
Tumblr media
When I was seated, some of the giftees stopped by to gift me with an acrylic standee and a cookie! The standee is given exclusively to audience members who preordered their tickets super early, so it's amazing I got my hands on one! After the performance, someone also posted my art on their instagram story! O:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The performance visual, gift shop, and posters were also deployed around this time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also was pleasantly surprised to see a huge Mononoke Karakusa poster displayed. Unlike typical movie posters, this one was printed on a rather thick matte rather than thin translucent gloss paper.
And here's the merch and goodies I acquired at the lobby:
Tumblr media
I was originally buying just the pamphlet, but as you can see I did a few more impulse purchases! I ended up getting:
📖 Zashikiwarashi Pamphlet - Hoping if productions of other episodes are a thing this can become a collection. The Bakeneko pamphlet was also sold here. If there's interest I can do a flip-through video of both the Bakeneko and Zashikiwarashi pamphlets!
🎟️Mononoke Karakasa Bonus Gifts: I thought it was just the clear file and a neat lil trading card but it seems like the trading card is actually a movie ticket??? I’m not gonna be in Japan when the movie comes out though but it’s a nice souvenir nonetheless!
🌇 Mononoke Karakasa flyer - The theatre had massive stacks of them to be taken freely. The first one got a bit wrinkled on my ride back to the hotel, so I grabbed 2 more after watching the 2nd performance!
💿Bakeneko Blu-Ray - This was something I thought I’d never get my hands as a US resident so I was pleasantly surprised they were selling this. Definitely a pretty penny but now I get to watch it at my leisure when I get home! May do a write up about it eventually. The Zashikiwarashi Blu-Ray actually went on sale today, but it only delivers in Japan. Sighhh. I guess I have no choice but to fly back when the Umi Bozu stageplay goes live. Or if it pops up on Mercari some time in August the price gouging hopefully won't be too horrific.

the one post I saw about burning man on here has missinfo (breaking event so understandable) and a pretty unsympathetic tone (I get it fyre fest or whatever but it is a former arts event that has been around since the 80s a lot of people did not have reason to expect stranded by the weather like this)
there is so much funny and interesting about this event even beyond the rich people stuck in the mud element
if you get a chance to skim the "Event timeline" portion of the Wikipedia article its a mix of creative themes and facts about mishaps
but to summarize the general history and give you a sense of how chaotic this event has been for the last almost 40 years
this event which started as an art collective and encouraged leave no trace trash policies as well as decomodification, a gifting/barter economy, and "radical inclusion and self expression" slowly changed into something critisised as less participatory and more influencer-baity which, when contrasted with the earlier emphasis on self reliance, is a recipe for trouble
By 1988, Larry Harvey formally named the summer solstice ritual "Burning Man" by titling flyers for the happening as such. This was apparently done to ward off references to "wicker man", the reputed Celtic pagan practice of burning live sacrifices in human-shaped wicker cages. Harvey has stated that he had not seen the 1973 cult film The Wicker Man until many years after and claims it did not inspire the action.
THE SOLSTICE BONFIRE OF A HUMAN EFFIGY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE ???
In 1990, a separate event was planned by Kevin Evans and John Law on the remote and largely unknown playa, known as the Black Rock Desert, about 110 miles (180 km) north of Reno, Nevada.[26] Evans conceived it as a dadaist temporary autonomous zone with sculptures to be burned and situationist performance art. He asked John Law, who also had experience on the dry lake and was a defining founder of the Cacophony Society, to take on central organizing functions of the events. In the Cacophony Society's newsletter, it was announced as Zone Trip No. 4, A Bad Day at Black Rock (inspired by the 1955 film of the same name).
there was a whole OTHER desert art party but this one openly inspired by a CRIME DRAMA?
so anyway several of these desert events of varying artistic and seasonal relevance got merged and grew through word of mouth, Wikipedia gives this insane sentence
1991 was also the year that art model and fire dancer (and later Burning Man's first art director) Crimson Rose attended the event.
this is very much something that started small
There were about 20 participants the first year, and approximately 100 in the second and third year. The annual, several weeks-long event, was held over summer Solstice at various fertile hot springs surrounding the desert. Participants built art and participated in self-directed performances.
and only became a public event in the mid 90s
Some key organizers of Burning Man were also part of Desert Siteworks [...] Hence, the two events saw much cross-pollination of ideas and participants.[...] 1996 was the first year a formal partnership was created to own the name "Burning Man" and was also the last year that the event was held in the middle of the Black Rock Desert with no fence around it.
the year it became a public event 2 deaths happened in the space between camp sites
Harvey insisted that the [crash] had not occurred at Burning Man, since the gates were not yet open. Another couple were run over in their tent by an art car driving to the "rave camp", which was at that time distant from the main camp. After the 1996 event, co-founder and partner John Law broke with Burning Man and publicly said the event should not continue.
so from the late 90s on there's a new location and much more regulations and formal ticket sales, shifting the tone firmly from loose artists commune/solstice bonfire into a more standard festival vibe with the aesthetic qualities of a Mad Max movie.
new rules include:
A grid street structure.
A speed limit of 5 mph (8 km/h)
A ban on driving, except for approved "mutant vehicles" and service vehicles.
Safety standards on mutant vehicles.
Burning of any art must be done on an approved burn platform.
A ban on fireworks.
A ban on animals.
in 2017 someone threw themselves into the flames
in April 2020 covid canceled the event, in September 1000 people tried to hold their own Burning man on a beach and San Francisco's mayor called them reckless and selfish. Similarly some people still showed up to the original location despite it's official cancelation.
in 2021 online events were planned
people showed up to the desert unofficially yet again, even more than in 2020
The Bureau of Land Management implemented restrictions including no structures other than shade structures and no fires other than campfires. There was a massive illuminated drone display outlining the Man instead of the burning of a Man effigy.
the event has had issues of trash, the flames releasing co2, gentrification by silicon Valley, diversity issues
so where we are at now is a lot of clueless and willfully ignorant people, mostly rich, several tech bros, going to an event that used to be an unregulated seasonal arts commune and is now an overpriced photo op with just as much drugs but way less active participation to the point of being like any standard music festival.
and it is in the desert.
and it has flooded for the first time in the event's history due to torrential rain. climate activists trying to block the only route to the event a few days ago make this especially symbolic as an example of dramatic weather conditions.
the mud is solidifying in heavy layers, people are stranded, there are no portable toilets working, they are on limited supplies, they are dressed for a party and celebrities are there and there is a real risk of trenchfoot but no ebola. someone died.
so yes hubris and schadenfreude at the rich people wading through muck during the escalating climate crisis. but also in addition to that a wild event with a wild history for which this is far from the first scandal. there's something to the counterculture and anarchic roots of the event, how they appropriated cultural practices, and how they were commodified in turn. how the pandemic interacted with the messaging of the event, how people with tech money and celebrities got involved, how the event is a particularly flashy and less sympathetic example of climate problems that have been hitting vulnerable communities for years now.

its so wild seeing trolls band together become an actual big thing, as someone whos seen the original a million times bc of something called a little sister (the script doesnt leave my brain send help) if i may ask: what is the appeal exactly for band together? like what made people like yourself catch on? ive heard is simply velvet and veneer but i thought asking might help me understand
WELL my own personal theory is that like. you remember how trolls 2 was a weird pandemic release right, where in order to make up the bulk of movie ticket sales it was basically the first movie you could buy on VOD for a fixed ticket price. for families of like, 5, or just multiple households in general, only playing $20 was actually a great deal, but for people like me who would only be watching it on their own, i’d be having to pay $20 for the privilege to watch a movie Once at home where i’m not even able to own it digitally after the fact. so a lot of people didn’t see trolls world tour as it came out
but then movie theatres opened up again, and trolls 3 managed to get some good promo in before the writers strike (it was a trailer bumper for BARBENHEIMER) so like. people were actualy motivated to see it more ig. especially with like, going to the movies with your family or going on discounted ticket days. it’s the Experience. there was also a bit of buzz around the fact that wish’s villain song sucked MAJOR ass, so people were kinda turning to trolls 3’s villain songs that had dropped like “ha. ha ha. isn’t it funny how this baby movie for little babies has FAR better villain songs than disney’s big prestige anniversary movie” but there was also buzz around velvet and veneer in general because people tend to really be fans of rubberhose style things imo. so like velvet and veneer really caught on as a phenomenon and a lot of people who saw the movie stayed v&v stans but a lot of people who saw the movie to see if the villains were all that ended up falling in love with the entire thing (like me!)
going back to the pandemic release vs theatre release thing i genuinely believe trolls world tour could have sparked a renaissance of trolls’ image like this if it hadn’t been dropped the way it did. because trolls 1 was a Fine Enough fantasy world but it was just about going to and from bergentown and neither pop village nor bergentown were very cool locales. but trolls world tour had COOL LOCATIONS and REALLY COOL LORE and AWESOME SIDE CHARACTERS which is a lot of stuff band together has too! ike i firmly believe that trolls has more of an appeal now because it’s shifted into a true fantasy adventure series it’s just that the one that actually started this trend was trolls world tour. because people LIKE thinking about the politics of the different troll tribes and they LIKE thinking about the sibling dynamics of brozone and it’s a lot more meat to bite into
either that or maybe people just really like velvet and veneer to a supernatural degree. who’s to say. who’s to say.

My Trip to Japan! ⛩️ Part 2
15.12.
🍃🍂Ghibli Park!!!🍂🍃
AKA the trigger for all this madness. It was when they announced that Ghibli was going to open a theme park that going to Japan went from dream to plan.
Getting tickets was an adventure on its own. I had to sit in front of the computer on the day and time they went on sale (a Sunday at 7 am, Spain time) and get in the virtual queue like it was a freaking Taylor Swift concert, to secure my spot. They had this perverse system where you have to get a ticket for each of the 3 areas of the park, and each has its allocated entry time. To complicate matters further, not all entry slots are available from abroad, only two for each area, which required significant research between blogs, reviews, and videos to figure out the most convenient order to see everything.
Tumblr media
We headed to Aichi; at the end of the subway line (this one had elevators), we changed to the Linimo, Japan's only maglev (magnetic levitation train). It was built for Expo 2005, and Ghibli Park is now located on its premises. We arrived very early, bought lunch at the konbini for later, and went to the first gift shop. Consumerism is rewarded here: each shop within the park offered slightly different things, so we had to go through them all. I swear I did not actually buy in all of them.
We started in the Hill of Youth area. Around the Whisper of the Heart roundabout, you'll find the antique shop/house from the movie, the cat office from The Cat Returns, and the bus stop from My Neighbor Totoro. There's also a real mailbox, and letters dropped there carry a postmark from the park. I knew this already, so I sent myself a postcard.
Tumblr media
The cat's office is beautiful, built to scale and all detail outside and in, with figures of the Baron and Muta chatting in the living room.
Tumblr media
But the antique shop... That house is something else. Everything is recreated in the smallest detail, from the luthier workshop below, with woodchips scattered on the floor, worn-out tools, violins in different stages of construction, to the living area upstairs, featuring vintage furniture from the sixties, incredible. The drawers and cabinets are full of things, not recreations (except the food in the fridge lol), real things from bygone times, normal things you find in houses. And you can open them and peek. Matches, kitchen towels, a bag of cat food. Mismatched crockery and cutlery as it’s normal in houses where actual people live. Cleaning stuff. Old postcards and magazines.
Tumblr media
The painstaking  work they must have undertaken of searching through antique shops and flea markets all over Japan to achieve such level of detail is absolutely mind-blowing. And the shop itself, omg... You have the Baron statuette, of course, with its mesmerizing eyes; the carrousel horse, the chimney... And the clock. Which we waited for because it activates every half hour. Yes, that clock, with the elves mining gemstones and the prince contemplating his princess before the day transforms her back into a sheep; all that is right there, live, for real. I’m not crying, you are crying.
From there, we went to the Grand Warehouse, the biggest area of the park. It is, as it says, a big warehouse with different exhibits and a clearly Gaudí-inspired main square (the Japanese love Gaudí). We took (read: Husband took of me) lots of photos in the different recreated props from the studio’s movies. We only missed two, consciously: No-Face from Spirited Away and the robot from Laputa: Castle in the Sky. In both cases, the line was so long that we wouldn't have made it to the next area on time. And in the case of the robot, we had the one at the museum. It was also my fault for not wanting to stand in line as soon as we arrived (in my defence, I didn’t know what was inside – it's not visible from outside the entrance), leaving that exhibit for the end, and by then the queue had become much longer. No-face is the first stop in the main exhibit, which features props from various movies where you can take photos. The main problem, IMHO, is that people take hundreds of photos, check if they liked them, repeat... I'm sorry, but if you have a hundred people behind you, take two or three, and whatever comes out is fine. The staff should speed up the people more, or even take the photos themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In addition to this permanent exhibition, there was another temporary one about food in the different Ghibli movies. I was thrilled to see they’d included paintings from my beloved Heidi, produced by Isao Takahata before founding Ghibli with Miyazaki.
The warehouse, like the Museum, also has a cinema, done in an exquisitely art deco style. The short film we watched, however, (Hoshi wo Katta Hi) escaped us, as it had much more dialogue than our basic Japanese could process. Next to the cinema, there’s a warehouse with different props not currently used  in any of the exhibits.
Other highlights include Arriety’s house, the philosophy club closet from Up from Poppy Hill (also recreated in painstaking detail)  and a few non-gift shops. There is also a children’s area with a catbus to play in and a café on the backyard, which we didn’t go to as we hadn’t enough time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After a quick visit to the gift shop, crowded with people, we left for the last area, Dondoko Forest, where Satsuki and Mei's house from My Neighbor Totoro stands. Another masterpiece of recreation. Kitchen stuff, toys, clothes, everything you can find in a house. In the kitchen drawers, there were even antique mosquito coils (the movie takes place in the '50s). Sorry (not sorry) for repeating myself, but the fieldwork they must have done to obtain all those objects is colossal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike the Whisper of the Heart shop, here they did allow photos inside, so I would have stayed forever if it weren't for Husband eventually looking at me with his best are-we-leaving-yet face, plus daylight beginning to fade. The visit was completed with a climb to a hill where there's a giant Totoro for photos, and we got down with a kind of funicular (technically an inclined elevator), which looks like a toy it’s so smol and kawaii.
Before leaving, we passed by Mononoke Village. This area, included in the Grand Warehouse ticket but without an entry slot, hasjust opened. There was only has a couple of monsters for the photo and a pavilion were they do workshops that was already closed, so we only saw the outside of it. There is a new area in construction, the Valley of Witches, scheduled to open in March, which will feature scenery from Howl’s mving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Tumblr media
The park is fucking amazing, and a total must for any self-respecting Ghibli fan. I want to go back right away. The one downside, for me, is the fixed schedule ticket system they have (which they say they will eliminate soon), because we didn't have enough time to see all of the Grand Warehouse, but if we’d stayed, we would have missed the Dondoko Forest, and with Totor being my favourite Ghibli film, that would have been unforgivable.
We came back exhausted, and it was an adventure to find a place to have dinner. The word of the day was "kanseki": "full." Finally, we found an izakaya where we had a great meal and better service.

Update: “This one is hard to predict,” is the constant mantra this weekend among rival box office sources guesstimating the opening swing for Sam Wrench’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie. Friday is currently pegged in the $40M-$50M range with a big spread of $107M-$130M at 3,850 theaters. On the high-end, that could be the third biggest opening at the current 2023 domestic B.O. after Barbie ($162m) and Super Mario Bros 3-day of $146.3M. Added another source about Eras Tour outlook: “Prepare for us to be wrong.”
Why is a Swift concert film calculus to box office bean counters instead of weekly algebra when it comes to projections? Basically, there’s an enormous amount of frontloaded presales here, plus the x-factor is how many walk-ups occur. Add to that the standard drops on Saturday night with a young-female skewing title. One source has Eras Tour tracking ahead of Barbie‘s pure Friday gross (less $22.3M Thursday previews), which was $48.2M. That said, no one is expecting Swift here to play out like Barbie which fashion-walked to a $162M opening. We’ll have more updates as they come.
Meanwhile, haters aren’t going to hate: Critics on Rotten Tomatoes are giving Eras Tour a 100% score. AMC isn’t sending out official figures until tomorrow.
Early Screen Engine/Comscore PostTrak from last night, which was combed from $2.8M previews, gave Eras Tours five stars or 95% positive. Parents gave it 4 stars and kids under 12, 5 stars. Thursday night leaned 76% women with females under 25 at 42%, females over 25 at 34% and guys way behind at 15% over 25 and 9% under. Moms, natch, outnumbered Dads, 67% to 33% with an jawdropping 95% girls making up the majority of kids under 12. Best grades are women over 25 (100%) and under (97%) while men over 25 grit their teeth for 2 hours and 48 minutes giving Eras Tour its lowest grade of 78%. Note these exits will shift during the weekend.
Previous: The AMC distributed Taylor Swift: Eras Tour concert movie officially made $2.8M in Thursday night previews.
We told you last night that the rough estimate was below $5M. The pic played in 2,700 theatres with showings last night beginning at 6 p.m. local time.
Remember, these previews aren’t indicative of how the weekend will go. Projections of $100M+ stateside still stand at 3,855 theaters. Swift announced Wednesday night moments before her premiere that she was pivoting her lucky 13 release date plan of Friday 6PM to Thursday night previews for the Sam Wrench directed movie. In certain places, advance tickets for the concert film last night didn’t go on sale until six to eight hours before showtime.
There are technically no comps to last night, not only because of the last-minute addition of Thursday previews, but also there haven’t been many wide release concert movies in the preview millennium era of box office. Interestingly enough, the midnight showtime starts for Michael Jackson concert docu, This Is It, drew $2.2M on its Tuesday night, Oct. 27, before posting a $7.4M Wednesday and $34.4M five-day.
The last minute showtimes for Eras Tour didn’t take too much air out of the sleepy autumn box office with Universal/Blumhouse/Morgan Creek’s The Exorcist: Believer earning an estimated $1.3M yesterday at 3,663 theaters, -9% from Wednesday for a first week of $33.9M.
Lionsgate’s Saw X at 3,262 theaters did $729K yesterday, +1% from Wednesday, and $11.3M in week 2 and $35.7M running cume.
Paramount and Spin Master’s second week of Paw Patrol: The Might Movie earned $15.8M after a second Thursday of $620K, +2%, at 4,027 theaters. The animated pic’s running total is $42.8M.
New Regency/20th Century Studios/Disney’s The Creator at 3,680 theaters grossed $571K on Thursday, even with Wednesday, with a second week of $9.3M and a running total of $28M.
Fathom Events’ The Blind saw $271K at 1,312 theaters, and a second week of $4.5M and a running total of $11.9M.

It's like trailer #4 I think lol if press starting next week it's 6 week of press?not too early? I thought they will start at least at the end of January, first days of February
Yup!! This is "Dune 2" Trailer #4 lol. 😊
6 weeks of press isn't too early for WB. WB goes HAM for press.... especially for their larger films that they think will do well at the box office.
So, it wouldn't surprise me! 🤷🏾‍♀️
I was thinking press wouldn't start until end of Jan/early Feb either, but if the movie comes out March 1st, and Feb is a short month, then I can see why press could start in Jan.
Pre-Sale Tickets will probably start going on sale w/in the next few weeks too tbh. Especially for a large movie like this.

i literally love this, can we get a part two to this
where we see them doing the interview with bbc and we see everyone’s reaction on social media!💐
Such A Softie
(Part 2 to Of Course, Baby)
A/N: Yes, yes, and yes!! Hopefully I did this okay! (Also, sorry for the poor quality pic at the end, I tried my best haha)
Pairings: Chris Evans x GN!Reader (again, tried my best to be gender neutral but lmk if I screwed up)
Warnings: Fluff, a small mention of mean comments but nothing specific
Tumblr media
You sat next to Chris, holding his hand as Ali walked into the room. “Oh, I wasn’t aware I would be getting you two at the same time.” He said and smiled gently, looking between the two of you.
“Yeah, we decided to change it up at the last minute.” Chris said, looking over at you as you squeezed his hand then dropped it. “We have a bit of an announcement to make and we wanted you to be the one to drop it.” He added.
Ali rose his eyebrows, taking a seat across from the two of you. “Oh? And what announcement is that? You’ll be in another Marvel movie together?” He joked.
“We’re dating.” You said, laughing a bit at his shocked expression. “You’ll do it tastefully, and on our terms.”
Ali nodded in agreement. “Start talking about the movie and then go into your relationship a bit?” He asked and you nodded. “Okay, let’s start rolling then.” He said, beginning by asking a few questions about the movie and then paused for a moment. “So, I’m sure working on a movie like this brought you two together as even better friends, yeah?” He asked.
You smiled when Chris looked to you to answer. “Yeah, we’ve always worked really well together, on screen and off. And actually, we’re not just better friends for it, but better partners too.” You said.
Chris nodded in agreement, reaching over to take your hand. “Exactly, we started dating just a few months ago and we were a little nervous about doing the press for the movie, since we would be around each other a lot but have to keep us a secret. I think we both decided after half a day that we would really like for it to be out there that we’re together.” He said.
Ali nodded. “So… Do I see a romance movie in your future then?” He joked, making the two of you laugh as you continued the interview.
A few days later, the interview was edited and posted. The producers of the movie thought it was brilliant you had decided to do it during the press tour, because it boosted ticket sales for the movie. You were both incredibly happy because that meant that you could go together (as dates) to the movie premiere. But before that could happen, you and Chris were reading through some of the comments and reactions your fans had.
“There are a few negatives, but overall I think everyone is pretty happy.” You said, glancing up at him and smiling when he pulled you impossibly closer to his chest as the two of you laid on the couch together.
“I know I am.” He said and winked at you. “Especially since on Wednesday I get to show off my incredible partner on the red carpet.” He said, kissing your neck slowly. “And that’s all I really care about.”
“You’re such a softie.” You muttered and giggled when he reached down, tickling your waist. “Chris! Stop!” You laughed.
“I am a softie. But only for you, baby.” He whispered as he squeezed your waist, leaning forward more and pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. “Only for you.” He said quietly.

The Last Wish: Spoiler-Free Review
Okay. so as none of you know, I'm a HUGE fan of the original Puss In Boots, and as such I bought a ticket for The Last Wish the day tickets went on sale. I waited impatiently for months for that movie to come out, and watched it on Christmas Eve, and I'm finally getting around to writing about it
For context, I believe the original Puss In Boots is better than any of the Shrek movies. Shrek 2 and Puss In Boots both hold up really well to this day, but Puss In Boots is better at capturing the magic of fairy tale stories than Shrek 2 was; Shrek 2 modernized too much for it to contain that same magic. And as such, I argue to this day that the best Shrekverse movie is Puss In Boots. The only thing holding Puss In Boots was just the spontaneous humor and the way they downplayed the central antagonist with humor
The Last Wish fixes those mistakes
If you go in expecting a movie similar to the original, the first, like, 5 minutes will be your cup of tea. It has the same spontaneous humor, the villain is basically just there for laughs, and Puss is this high-and-mighty outlaw. The leadup to the giant and the battle against the giant both showcase who Puss is: he's a rebel against the rich and a protector of the poor. He cares not for people with power, and instead uses his own skills and power to defend the common folk through his heroic antics. But, as the trailer shows, he carelessly gets crushed, and he's now on his last life
This is where the story takes a turn. We have several minutes of denial. "Retire? I am Puss in Boots!" But that's when the story's driving villain shows up. They weren't really highlighted in the trailers, so I'll be very secretive about who the villain is, but the moment they appear on screen, I had chills. This villain was not like the ones who had come before. This villain was not something to laugh about. And Puss realizes this. Puss is scared into retirement- I mean, into hiding, and gets used to the undignified way of life that is a housecat, until Goldilocks and the Three Bears show up: bounty hunters seeking Puss' help with reaching the mythical Wishing Star
Puss outsmarts them and decides to pursue this Wishing Star alone...
Well. Alone plus his emotional support dog. Short story, but a weird one to tell
And off he goes on his quest to find the Wishing Star and restore his lives
And that's the introduction to the story and most of the central characters, so I can't really progress further without spoiling major parts of the story
Downsides of the story:
The central villain is beaten in an unsatisfying way, and deserved a better conclusion
The secondary villain was mediocre at best, and falls into the trap of Laughable Villain Syndrome
Ofc they're going to end the movie with a tie-in to the upcoming Shrek 5
Upsides of the story:
Very deep story
Legitimately terrifying central villain
Tertiary villains are masterfully done, start to finish
My Personal Rating: 10/10
This movie has flaws, don't get me wrong, but this movie is also the best blend of nostalgia and storytelling that I've ever seen before. While most of the characters were well done, there are three particular characters that shine through every moment they are on screen: Puss, Goldilocks, and the central antagonist; especially the latter two. I'll also take the moment to point out that Goldilocks was voiced by Florence Pugh, so there's that :D
And yeah. This is 100% a recommendation! There's honestly no real theory fodder available in this movie. Like sure, maybe some minor theories, but nothing about the future of Puss, Kitty, and Perrito. There might be a spin-off for Goldilocks, but we don't know enough specifics about her past to guess where in her life a story might take place, let alone what it would be about. It closed pretty much every loose thread it had, except one, but I can't talk about that yet...not until I'm ready to discuss the most terrifying PG villain I've ever seen

Day 0.5 to 1 - June 10th & 11th - Sydney
Tumblr media
I flew into Sydney yesterday morning and was kindly collected from the airport by my gracious hosts Mandisa and Xavier. It was so great to see them after a long time apart and we had a beautiful and relaxing afternoon wandering Newtown, preparing for their friends 30th birthday party at the local pub. At the party, we had a great time chatting and drinking. While tipsy, we spontaneously booked the last 3 tickets to the Sydney Film Festival for the showing of the new Warwick Thornton movie New Boy.
When we got up today, we didn't have many plans beyond the movie and potentially seeing my friend sam in the afternoon. Despite this, the day unfolded like a russian doll of experiences - it just kept opening up on itself. We had a lazy morning big breakfast with avo on toast with all the trimmings then set off on a postcard perfect day in Sydney.
Tumblr media
We took the train to the city and strolled from circular quay to the botanical gardens. We put $2 in a pair of tourist binoculars and looked at the boats bobbing along the harbour and the detail of the tiles on the opera house. The intricacy of the tiles was so arresting, my mind couldn't help but see the similarity between the thousands of sleek tiles and snakeskin. We stopped for coffee in the botanical garden cafe before wandering through the Fern Garden and moving on to Hyde Park, on the way to the State theatre for showing.
Tumblr media
The theatre is unbelievably grand in the true sense of the word. I spent a solid minute in my seat with my head back on the velvet backrest, staring at chandelier and ornate latticework of the ceiling. The movie was poignant and beautifully shot with thought provoking themes surrounding colonisation and spirituality. Walking out of the stalls into the side alleyway, we saw the charmingly painted sign with the old school design of the finger pointing to "Stage Door" and paintings of old production company posters, which i loved.
Tumblr media
After the movie we wandered to Chinatown for some dumplings and ran into one of Xav's old friends, who joined us for a late lunch. When we finished our noodles and dumplings we had a little shop in the Winter sale for hiking gear for Disa and Xav's upcoming Larapinta trail hike.
Tumblr media
Walking back, we detoured via Darling Harbour as the sun was setting and Xavier suggested we hop on a ferry to watch the sunset from the harbour. A capital idea if there ever was one. We had a wonderful sightseeing experience as the ferry did "upsy-downsies" (as a little kid on board called them), and the lights of luna park twinkled against the darkening sky.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hopping off the ferry, Vivid Sydney was starting and I was, to be honest, a bit surprised by the quality and how fun the experience was. We met up with my old friend Sam and his girlfriend Ange near "the big white star" installation and had a delightful time moving through the markets, under the bridge and past The Rocks. There were so many highlights. I loved seeing a wonderful spherical design projected into a fountain of water. Best of all, though, was the company. We laughed and shot the breeze against a beautiful backdrop of the city illuminated with an extra layer of brightness and art.
Tumblr media
Heading home, our feet were tired but our spirits were high. It was the best first full day of the trip I could ask for. I loved, and there is very little hyperbole in this statement, every moment.
Particularly this moment, in which i turn on my audiobook and turn off the light, getting some needed rest before a huge day of travel. Tomorrow, it's Kowabunga, dude, let's do this. Tonight, it's sweet dreams.

'Thousands of movie fans are planning to explore both the neon pink world of “Barbie” and the complicated mind of J. Robert Oppenheimer on the same day.
Thousands of AMC Stubs members have bought tickets for both films on the same day ahead of their premieres on July 21.
“That more than 20,000 moviegoers have already made plans and purchased tickets to see Barbie and Oppenheimer on the same day is a great sign that the growing online conversation around seeing both of these incredible films is turning into ticket sales,” Elizabeth Frank, executive VP of worldwide programming and chief content officer at AMC Theatres told Variety this week.
Though, according to Variety, how the number compares to average purchase rates is unclear.
Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" — starring Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon and Emily Blunt — is a three-hour epic thriller about the American physicist and his role in developing the atomic bomb during World War II. "Barbie," directed by Greta Gerwig, is a comedy about the life of Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) in Barbie Land and their journey to the real world.
The double feature of the contrasting blockbusters has become an internet phenomenon known as, “Barbieheimer,” with fans creating their own black-and-pink memes, apparel and movie posters of the two films.
The Avon Theatre Film Center in Stamford is screening the two films starting on July 20 and pre-sale tickets are selling faster than normal, Louisa Greene, director of marketing and development for the theater, said.
"There's a lot of buzz [and] a lot of excitement from Avon patrons about both films," she said.
The Avon is hosting its own Barbie and Ken costume contest for theatergoers at its 5:20 and 7:45 p.m. "Barbie" screenings on July 20, during which attendees will enter on a mini-red carpet and present their costumes the judges. The winners from each screening will win the theater's bronze membership package: free movies for a year for two people. The theater will also have a 3 p.m. screening that day.
The venue is also partnering with the Greenwich International Film Festival for a screening of "Oppenheimer" at 7 p.m. that evening, she said.
Greene believes the two divergently different films share qualities that appeal a wide range of movie fans. Both have big-name directors and casts, she said. "Oppenheimer" is a historical drama about events that are still relevant today, while "Barbie" is a comedy that could spark nostalgia among viewers, she said.
Warner Brothers predicts that "Barbie" will see a $70 to $80 million opening at the box office, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Universal Studios is tracking around $40 million for the "Oppenheimer" debut.
Prospector Theater in Ridgefield is also hosting screenings of the two films on July 20 and it has sold most of the tickets for both events, Ren Burkardt, the theater manager, said.
"The weekend is already looking like it's picking up as well. People are very excited," she said.
The theater employees plan to decorate the lobby pink that weekend and dress up in Barbie-themed outfits, Burkardt said. KC 101 radio station will also stop by from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday to give away items, she said.
In partnership with The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, the theater will host a live virtual conversation right before the "Oppenheimer" screening with artist and director Bryan McGovern Wilson and artist and curator Richard Klein. The two will discuss Wilson's "Oppenheimer Ghost" exhibit, a replica of Oppenheimer's hat that is positioned in uranium glass, the event description says. The exhibit will be on display in the museum until Aug. 27, according to the museum.
"I just want to encourage everyone to come to the movies. The experience is completely different in person with friends and family and all the excitement of a busy lobby than anything else," Burkardt said.
National movie theater chains with venues in Connecticut also have special deals for the two movies. AMC Theatres is offering Stubs members the chance to win a Barbie-themed vacation and bonus points for those going to see "Oppenheimer." AMC has locations in Norwalk, Stamford, Trumbull, Danbury, Plainville, Southington and Lisbon, according to its website.
Cinemark is currently selling "Barbie" movie merchandise in theaters. These items can include beach ball cups, a popcorn tin and blanket, according to the theater chain's Instagram. Cinemark theaters are located in Enfield, Manchester, Milford and North Haven.'

In Dunkirk I think a lot of people forgot that Harry was in the movie and he wasn’t in it enough to judge his acting. In eternal’s what I saw I didn’t like and people are still giving him a chance. With my policeman and don’t worry darling it’s going to be the first time we are going to see his full acting ability and I don’t think it’s going to be good. Harry isn’t a natural actor it’s some thing that he has to work at and I don’t think it’s something that he works out. I think a lot of fans are really hyping it up but what we need to remember is this isn’t his music. This is acting. Critics are ruthless. They are extremely honest and if they don’t like Harry’s performance they’re going to say so. Also we need to remember that Harry is acting alongside seasoned actors. In my policeman Emma and David we know Harry’s the week after in that group. With don’t worry darling Florence, Chris, Gemma, Kiki He is the week after. And it’s going to be something that is shown and evident when we watch this movie. like that anon said before the only roles that Harry has ever audition for from my knowledge are Elvis and Dune 2. He heard about Dunkirk and Sought out Christopher Nolan, the little mermaid was offered him, don’t worry darling was offered to him twice, eternal‘s was offered to him, again he sought out the Director for my policeman. Let’s keep in mind that the only rules he gets are the ones that are offered to him not the ones that he auditions for. Is Harry getting Casted because he’s a great actor and down he’s getting casted because he’s a big name that’s going to generate a lot of revenue. And this is the problem with a lot of films these days because of the success of Marvel and DC people feel the need to have a big blockbuster film to keep up with these movies so they cast people like Harry who has a big fanbase for ticket sales. And I feel bad for his costars in particular Florence Pugh because this movie is supposed to be about her and the only thing people are paying attention to are Harry and Olivia and We all know that she has beef with Olivia and doesn’t really care for Harry so every time she’s on the red carpet she hast to play nice and talk about a guy she doesn’t like. So that’s why she’s not promoting this film. Florence is someone who picks projects because she genuinely cares about them and they become passion projects to her. We’ve seen her do this with every film or television show that she’s in and the fact that she hasn’t done it with don’t worry darling is very telling. She’s out here still talking about Midsommar and doesn’t even talk about don’t worry darling. That’s very telling. But we need to remember that this doesn’t help hairy or his relationship with his costars. If I’m in a movie with him and all I’m getting asked is how it was working with him and if we’re friends or if I’m going to his concerts I would be fucking pissed and I would start to not like him because instead of this film that’s supposed to be about the both of us or just me in particular I’m getting us about a guy who didn’t even audition for this role and everything that I do is not talk to him that’s not fair and it’s going to hurt him in the future
he seriously has people under a spell or something. i’m curious to know the criticism on dwd so much, i have no expectations at all.
i agree with everything you said. it definitely sucks for his co-stars with much, much, much bigger experience and history when it comes to acting, especially when the entire thing stems on views and sales and not their actual profession and passion.
i think flo might regret that role, and her lack of enthusiasm is so so bad for olivia’s directing reputation because flo is a big actress whose talent is unmatched and everyone, every critic, knows so. it seriously sucks because seeing flo in another psychological thriller seemed like a dream come true, but with the drama, it just sets the mood off for the movie and i think that’s so messy and unprofessional when it could’ve been something great, but maybe it’s all just talk and the movie would actually be so good. maybe!

New York Times: R-Rated Rock Concerts? Marilyn Manson and Mom?
By Neil Strauss Dec 1, 1997
In an attempt to save their businesses from complaining parents, restrictive legislation and increased police scrutiny, concert hall operators are considering a rating system for performances similar to those used for movies, television shows and recordings.
They are evaluating proposals that range from an industry wide obscenity-warning label that would appear on tickets to movie-style ratings. A rating of G would denote tame fare, while an R would be assigned to risque hard-rock and rap concerts off limits to minors not accompanied by adults.
''Do I think a rating system is needed? Yes,'' said Scott Williams, the general manager of the Delta Center arena in Salt Lake City, who participated in a panel discussion of the issue at a recent industry convention. ''Do I think it's coming? Yes. Will it be a help to me in running this facility? Yes.''
Several state legislators are preparing bills requiring music promoters to warn parents about concerts with obscene language or gestures. Other lawmakers are considering banning minors unaccompanied by adults from certain shows or just forbidding those concerts altogether.
''Our kids are being affected by this trash,'' said Daniel Tripp, a Republican state representative in South Carolina who is drafting a bill to prevent explicit concerts from being performed at places owned or financed by the state. ''I want to have some standards set up. I'm looking at these concerts in the same way I do pornography.''
But there is fierce opposition to such measures. Some in the music industry feel that not only will concert ratings hurt the business, because many rock and pop bands have a high-school-age following, but that they are illogical as well.
''I would fight concert ratings to the death,'' said Nina Crowley, executive director of the Massachusetts Music Industry Coalition, which combats efforts to restrict or rate musical expression. ''How do they know what's going to happen in a concert? Music's not that predictable, and it shouldn't be.''
From the days of vaudeville and burlesque to the birth of rock-and-roll to the rise of heavy metal and rap, there have always been off-color shows. Local obscenity and zoning laws serve to restrict some of these performances. But never has the call to rate and classify performances been so strong.
''Most parents have never heard of the groups their kids are going to see with their friends,'' Mr. Williams said. ''When they read that during the concert the male vocalist dropped his pants and played with himself, they'll call me and ask what kind of idiot I am to be showing this stuff to their kids. They have no way of finding out ahead of time, so they need a rating system. And quite frankly, so do I.'' He continued, ''If we don't start some kind of system soon, somebody else is going to do it for us.''
To some extent, the focus on concerts has been shaped by a ratings ground swell. Recently, most television networks began rating their shows for content. Last month a Congressional subcommittee held hearings calling for stronger advisory labels on recordings with explicit lyrics. And some 40 organizations, including software companies, Internet businesses and children's advocacy groups, are meeting in Washington today to debate Internet content ratings.
The concert industry takes in an estimated $2.5 billion in ticket sales a year. Bob Grossweiner of Performance magazine, a trade publication, estimated that a quarter of those proceeds are from concerts that include expletives or obscenity, whether in a song, a speech or accompanying dancing.
Less than 2 percent of that revenue, others estimate, comes from bands that deal with explicit themes in nearly every song. Only a tiny sliver of groups give shows that revolve around gory or sexual theatrics, including well-known performers like Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson, and lesser-known ones like Gwar, the Impotent Sea Snakes and Insane Clown Posse. A few acts (Butthole Surfers, Jane's Addiction, Catherine Wheel) have nude or topless dancers or show violent or pornographic films onstage.
The spark that lighted the fires for concert ratings and restrictions, many say, was a yearlong tour by the cross-dressing hard-rock group Marilyn Manson that ended this fall. As the band traveled the country, trailing rumors of onstage antics both false (killing puppies, dispensing drugs to minors, sacrificing children to Satan) and true (tearing up Bibles, using the American flag as toilet paper, screaming obscenities), some towns and legislators mobilized to stop the band from performing.
Representative Tripp tried to pass a resolution forbidding Marilyn Manson from performing on state property. But he was forestalled when the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where the concert was to be held, used a clause in its contract enabling it to pay the band for the concert without letting it perform. The bill remains in committee.
The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority forbade Marilyn Manson to perform at Giants Stadium this year but was forced to reverse its decision by a Federal District Court judge. In Virginia, a Richmond city councilman asked the Council to research the legality of rating concerts after attempts by city officials to cancel a Marilyn Manson show failed there.
Dale Shugars, a Republican State Representative in Michigan, had a nonbinding resolution passed asking concert-hall operators to restrict the access of minors to shows by acts whose recordings have parental advisory warning labels. Representative Shugars said he wanted to make that resolution a law, with a few minor changes.
Alex Kochan, who books Marilyn Manson's concerts, noted that the band has abided by local obscenity ordinances during its current tour, dropping the more outrageous stunts of its early club shows. ''Building managers think that they will be hurt at the box office if there aren't steps taken to warn people about what's going on,'' he said. ''But by the time most bands get to be national attractions, they don't do the same thing. The process of becoming a national act is self-governing.''
Still, some in the industry are open to discussing concert ratings. Hillary Rosen, president of the Recording Industry Association of America, said she would oppose any attempts to restrict minors from attending rock concerts but would not object to an efficient parental warning system similar to the one her organization established for albums 12 years ago.
But a problem with rating concerts, both critics and some supporters of such measures say, is that unlike television programs and movies, concerts can change from show to show.
The solution most likely to appear in the next year, some say, is not an industry consensus on concert ratings but individual building owners establishing their own system with their communities in mind. Mr. Williams of the Delta Center arena, for example, said it was possible to rate a concert in advance. Of the ratings system used for films, he said: ''I'd contract with the artist that I want a PG-13 show, and if they still want to do an X show, they can take it somewhere else.'' Others, like Michael Marion, general manager of the Alltel Arena in Little Rock, Ark., advocate that bands that must carry the recording industry's parental advisory warning on their albums should replicate that advisory in their local promotions. Concert-hall managers must straddle the fence, said Mr. Marion, who organized the panel debating concert ratings. ''There's freedom of speech, but there's also a community that has certain expectations about what type of entertainment you present. Parents should be informed if something's not acceptable to community standards.''
First Amendment activists have taken a stronger stance against concert ratings. ''There's a whole hysteria to provide parents with tools, tools to find out what's out there,'' said David Greene of the National Campaign for Freedom of Expression, based in Washington. ''But the minute we decide to label, we're making decisions for these parents for what is important to them and what isn't. Bands promote themselves with a certain image. They don't hide it. Ratings are the first step toward government involvement and intervention and legislation. It's not innocuous. And it's unnecessary because the information is already out there.''
Others say the debate is misplaced, focusing on morality rather than safety. ''What nobody's touching is concert safety, noise levels, moshing and stage-diving, which is continuing to injure concertgoers,'' said Paul Wertheimer, the president of Crowd Management Strategies in Chicago. ''There hasn't been one rule, one guideline, one law established for this kind of concert safety in 45 years.''

The Rise of E-Sports: How Competitive Gaming is Changing Entertainment
The word “e-sports,” which stands for electronic sports, means digital gaming where at least two teams or individual players compete with each other in already selected games. This movement originally started as a hobby of a small group has now expanded into the world of global industry, which is now also having enormous effects on the culture and economy. Here’s an explanation of how competitive gaming is changing the entertainment landscape:Here’s an explanation of how competitive gaming is changing the entertainment landscape:
1. The real significance of YouTube and music today goes far beyond the initial status of music videos. In fact, the shift in how young people consume and form relationships with music could be described as a phenomenon that radically changed their world.
The acceptance of e-sports has been to the world’s mainstream that currently attracts many viewers internationally. These days, major e-sport events like The International and the League of Legends World Championship are aired on sports networks like ESPN and live streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube, with viewerships same big as traditional sports. This visibility has made competitive gaming (eSports) an accepted adversity which has integrated eSport into popular culture.
2. Professionalization of Gaming
The development of electronic sports(E-sports), consequently, has brought about the professionalism of gaming. With the option to become professional gamers and earning real money by means of online tournaments winnings, sponsorships, and streaming revenues, players are nowadays choosing gaming as a professional job. Teams like these operate in the same way as teams in traditional sports, and are supported by trainers, analysts and other staff.
3. Policy and Environment Effect on Economy and Industry Output
The e-sports sector is witnessing a tremendous economic level of development, which according to reports will snowball to millions and billions of dollars. These channels are revenue generating with the money coming from advertising, sponsorships, media rights, merchandise sales, and ticket sales live events. The sector has led to expansion that has also created jobs across different sectors such as event management, marketing, and game developers.
4. Technological Advances and Innovations:
The e-sport steadfastness has given room for tech developments and growth in gadgets and broadcasting. It is the way that streaming technology, VR and AR materials make progress that e-sports’ demands, partly incite them. The innovations being introduced here not only help make the games interesting but also make watching more exciting for the audiences
5. Cultural and Social Impacts
E-sport has a huge cultural and social influence. Leading to the establishment of a community among players and fans, it gives rise to a common platform where social interaction and collaboration are possible. The e-sports inclusiveness, which has no boundaries of age or background, leads to diversity in the gaming community. In addition, e-sports has affected other entertainment forms, including movies, television shows, and music, which has resulted in a cross-pollination of gamers’ culture into mainstream entertainment.
6. Educational and Development Resources
The educational and developmental values of e-sports are no longer being overlooked by many stakeholders. Some schools provide e-sports programs and scholarships in order to underline its potential to grow abilities like teamwork, strategic thinking, and digital literacy. Furthermore, e-sports can be a way that people enter into careers in technology, game design, and related fields.
7. Difficulties and Prospects for the future
Whereas e-sports has witnessed steady increase, its growth is hinged on issues of player health and well-being, diversity, and unpredictability of game popularity. Nevertheless, the future perspective for e-sports is exciting where it can be combined with traditional sports, increased the global presence and upgraded with technologies.
Conclusion
The growth of e-sports shows a remarkable change in the entertainment business. It combines the fun of competition with the interactivity of video games, thus, resulting in a unique and exciting experience for the players as well as viewers. As e-sports is evolving, it probably will leave a permanent mark on what entertainment is being created, consumed, and experienced around the world.

IWFF Diary Day 3 [0416]
Film Trivia
Marrickville Distreict Hardcurt Tennis Club
Today's activity is a movie trivia event, from which I mainly learned two aspects of knowledge. First, by sneaking a peek at the Answer sheet, I got a perfect TO WATCH LIST. This part of the trivia is divided into movies that took place in the Inner west area, Australian movies, and Canadian movies. I think this is a very good plan to learn about "national film culture" through movies.
Tumblr media
Secondly, through communication with the organizers, I learned a lot about how film festivals are organized (more about the financial side and how film festivals operate). The main income of film festivals is sponsorships, advertising and ticket sales, and a part is film distribution and copyright sales, but this is not included in IWFF. The promotion methods of advertisements and sponsors mainly reflect in small activities, such as the previous Photo Exhibition and this venue, and the wine provided in the venue are all sponsored.
Tumblr media
In fact, in large film festivals, there will be an Awards section. There is no Award section in IWFF, which is replaced by Short Movie Selection. Part of the reason for this is to avoid unnecessary competition, because the essence of IWFF is to promote regional and film culture. There is also a small part of the reason is the Funding Problem. In the Awards section, as a staff member, there will be many opportunities to contact and watch movies, and also learn how to assess the quality of movies. I find this very exciting. If I have the chance, I will definitely try this opportunity in the future.
IWFF Diary Day 4 [0417]
VIP Drinks
Canadian National Film day
I used to be funny
Testament
Tumblr media
Today's internship date happens to be National Canadian Film Day. Before today's movie started, Greg mentioned an idea that I found very interesting. Since Canada has an International Film Day, why doesn't Australia have one? So, he will hold a meeting with the staff of the Canadian Council tomorrow to discuss related ideas. The Canadian International Film Day was first held in 2014, initiated by the Canadian Film Association. The event aims to promote the development of Canadian cinema, promote Canadian film culture, and celebrate the diversity and creativity of Canadian cinema.

IWFF Diary Day 5 [0421]
Last Night
Fight To Live
Short Film Selection 2
Tumblr media
I take back my previous words, Benson told me that the Short Film Selection itself is an Award. Today is the busiest day. Today is the big screen Sydney premiere of Fight to Live, the actors and directors are all here. Many fans and industry workers came to celebrate, it was a very grand scene.
Tumblr media
There are also many student works in the Short Film Selection, and I also saw MMI's works in it.
Overall WRAPS
During this internship, I gained insight into the link between local film festivals and tourism promotion through practical experience and continuous research. I learned about the operations of film festivals and their significance for film enthusiasts and professionals. Furthermore, I understood the benefits these festivals offer for both parties. Most importantly, the internship allowed me to network with industry professionals and gather information on opportunities for participating in more film festivals.
Tumblr media
In the first week, I aimed to define my future direction within the internship. Now, I find the idea of being a "movie observer" quite appealing, perhaps as a behind-the-scenes photographer or festival participant.
